Food Scene
Great food and great location. Try the "Frigideira de Bacalhau", its an appetizer but it's so big that it can be a main dish as well. Suitable for vegetarians as well.

Chef Avillez is one of the recently awarded Portuguese chefs for the Michelin Stars. A must try is the "Bacalhau à Brás", a typical portuguese dish that by the hands of this chef becomes a very exquisite dish. Ask for the lunch menu if you go there at lunch time, the price is much nicer than the regular menu, 12,50€/per person. Vegetarian options

One of the best restaurants in town. At lunch time they have a menu for 6,50€, and it's usually 2 menu options. Dinner time is dedicated to what we call "Petiscos", which is similar to the Spanish tapas. Order small portions to share with your party and enjoy a great wine. Great vegetarian options as well.

For those that prefer having a light meal instead of a hot meal. The lunch menu is very good since for only 5€ you have the daily soup, a sandwich or a salad and one beverage. The sandwiches are quite exquisite.

The oldest dairy in town, it's located downtown right next the oldest bakery and is famous for the eclairs, the berliners "Bolas de Berlim" and the butter. My famous eclair is the dark chocolate, but you have plenty of other options.

Probably now one of the most touristic restaurant in Porto, even though is so hidden. The food is amazing, specially the Codfish cooked in a tile with breadcrumbs. A must try is the dessert Chocolate Pavê. The only bad thing is that they don't accept reservations.

One of the most iconic "Tascas" (tasca is what we call a snack bar) of Porto. The "tascas" are usually famous for the informal decor and the very good food. This one doesn't fall behind all of these characteristic, there's no table service and treatment can be rather rough. The food however is totally worth it! Try the meat and cheese sandwiches.

Beautiful beach view and amazing food, it's the perfect combination. What I enjoy the most is the Açai with Granola, fruit, greek yogurt and honey. The perfect breakfast with the beach at your feet. The lunch menu is also very good and always very pricy. It closes at 7pm.

The spot to start the Porto evening. This iconic bar/ restaurant place has become one of the landmarks of the city, specially because of the interesting decor. The lung of the city and probably a one of the only city parks that have a beach included. It's a very peaceful and quiet place, with small lakes in the middle. The best spot to take the children. It's also where the famous music festival "Primavera Sound" happens every year.

Shopping
Actually it's was probably the first store in Porto to combine different departments. Back in the century it was the place to go shopping, whether if it was clothes, shoes or house equipments. Nowadays, it's the place to go if you're looking for quality and personal shopping experience. Also, have a look at the rooftop restaurant. Breathtaking!!
