Quite, private and lovely.
  • My short stay at Nature's Nook was wonderful. Very cozy, clean and tastefully decorated place. It had all the amenities I needed. The bed is super comfy. The highlight was relaxing in the hot tub and watching a large buck slowly walk by. I didn't have the opportunity to meet Terri but she was very friendly and helpful on the phone and her husband was helpful as well. If I was in the area again, I'd be happy to book with Nature Nook again.

  • Nature's Nook is a great little get away! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is close enough to Yosemite to be able to drive back and forth, but far enough away that you aren't surrounded by tourist at the end of the day. The Nook is very clean and well taken care of and the hot tub adds an extra bonus - especially after a long day of hiking. I would highly recommend staying here and hope that I will be able to stay again at some point.

  • The Nature's Nook was exactly what we thought it would be. The setting and accommodations were amazing! Terry and Doug were very welcoming and Terri's binder provided such great information for local attractions. Thank you for such a great experience! We will be back!

  • Excellent little place. Loved cooking on the bbq after a day in Yosemite. The hot tub and hammock are also great additions. Everything you need as a Yosemite base camp. Terri is really nice and accommodating and even gave us mosquito repellent which we forgot. Don't forget to bring some! Would definitely recommend nature's nook!

  • Natures nook was a perfect place to stay if you are in Yosemite. It has everything you need in the kitchen. If you do not want to buy good just bring your own and store it in the fridge. This is a much better option than staying in a hotel and feels more like home. No complaints from me!

    fernando2014-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about our time at Natures Nook and Terri's wonderful family. Everything was absolutely perfect. We arrived late at night to a lit walkway, a warm room and a lovely bottle of wine to relax us after our long drive. The accommodation is to die for. The room is cozy and clean with an even comfier bed, There is fully stocked kitchenette, TV, DVD player, Netflix, and Hot tub. Every detail was taken into account and we really appreciated all of the little, wonderful details throughout the room. We immediately got into the hot tub, drank wine under the stars and started what would be one of the most relaxing weekend getaways we can remember having. We woke up the next morning to fresh baked scones provided by Terri (the best I've ever had) and we're rested to start a great day of hiking in Yosemite. Aside from the incredible accommodation and hospitality shown to us by Terri and family the location of Natures Nook could not be more ideal. Just a short 15 minute drive and you are in Yosemite. Drive for another 30-40 minutes and you are in the Valley soaking in the incredible views, hikes, and splendor that is Yosemite. The only thing better than the views was knowing we had such a comfortable place to come back to after an exhausting day of hiking. I know this will only be the first of many stays at Natures Nook and I truly cannot wait to get back and say hello to Terri and her family again. They gave us our privacy, but were incredibly friendly at the same time. We had some fantastic conversations and loved chatting with them coming and going to and from our adventures of the day. All in all, don't hesitate to book at Natures Nook. Its just that special of a place.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Terri's lovely cabin near Yosemite and had a great time. It's cozy, quiet and has all the amenities that we needed. Terri was a communicative and cheerful host.

  • I stayed at natures nook for 4 days, and it was a pure joy.! everything was perfect and just as Terri had described it. My wife and I enjoyed every minute spent there. Even when we arrived 2 hours ahead of schedule, Terri was quick to respond and even quicker to have everything ready. Since our return home, my wife and I have already been eagerly planning a return trip to stay there, and highly recommend Nature's nook to anyone looking for a quiet getaway .

  • We enjoyed our trip to Yosemite which was our 2nd air bnb experience which was such a nice place to stay. Brenda was so helpful ahead of time with questions and John helped my husband to understand all the hiking and scenery that we would want to see going into the park. The cabin was cozy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast each day was nice to share with others staying on the property. Thank you for your hospitality and we would definitely recommend our friends if they are in the area. Fred, Lisa and Lindsay Fowelr

    Lisa2014-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant stay. Cabin is very homey and close to shops and food in town. View from the main lobby area is amazing and tranquil. Drive to Yosemite is not bad. Everyone had a great time.

    Dan2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was really clean and very comfortable and cosy. Brenda was extremely helpful and helped the trip with the family based on what was open in the season and what the kid in our company could. The one clarification that we were entirely unaware of and were unprepared to handle was the no indoor cooking policy. The kitchen is fully furnished but cooking (except for microwave) is not permitted. Nonetheless it was a very fun trip and many thanks to Brenda!

    Alok2014-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place to retreat to after spending full days in Yosemite, and Brenda's place was perfect for that. It was clean, comfortable, private, and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. Would stay here again!

    Karrie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We spend 2 days in Pine Suite and it was great! This luxury cabin has all you need for a perfect stay. But the best of all is the breakfast. Best pancakes we had during the trip.

    Ruslan2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it did not disappoint! We arrived late but Brenda was so accommodating and check-in was hassle-free. The Pine suite is very comfortable and easy to get to from Yosemite. Wish we had more time to stay and relax, will definitely rent the lodge if we return. Highly recommended.

Welcome to my family's beautiful 360 acre cattle ranch outside of Yosemite. Homesteaded in 1892. Enjoy a little peace and quiet in a wonderful old cabin on the edge of the Fresno river. Consider it glamping and a wonderful time awaits you.
An old cabin built on stilts on the edge of the Fresno River. Privacy and nature abound. A most relaxing space to quiet down and rest. Best sleep of your life. A gentle breeze and the lull of the river will relax you into a deep slumber upon rich bed linens. Romantic. Secluded. Beautiful. Bathe in the outdoor tub under the stars of the beautiful night sky. Two indoor bedrooms and one great covered screened-in sleeping porch. Best room in the house we think. Spend the afternoon swimming in the Fresno river. Nap in the hammock. And then there are the summer evenings on the deck over the river which are magical. The crickets and the frogs blissfully sing to you. 360 acres of hiking through old mining country with its rivers, springs, mountains and canyons. Perfect for families. A safe and wonderful place to explore. Say hello to our family's cows and horses. Gentle, sweet and docile they are.
The mountains. The canyons. The river. The secluded swimming holes. The wildlife. The mines. The exploration. Waking up to a bold cup of coffee on the edge of the river. The clean beautiful air. You will soon understand, it is like no other place on earth. Welcome.
  • We had a wonderful experience at the river cabin! We braved it and slept in the screened in porch! Although cold the beautiful sounds of the river made it so amazing and relaxing! I would highly recommend staying here :-)

  • Sam and Stacy were very welcoming and made sure that we had a comfortable stat that felt like home.

    Jessica2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sam and Jerry are very nice and caring. They gave very clear driving direction and made sure they were able to greet us at the house and showed us everything we should know. The house is sitting right next to a river with cows and horses around. It took us about 1.5 hours of winding drive to get to Yosemite Park. It could be challenging but for us it was still better than driving from San Francisco all the way in the morning.

    Christie2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The river cabin was a great experience. This location is somehow magical and provides everything for a calm stay. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Yosemite.

    Simon2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • My lady and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was one of the best trips of our lives. With an outdoor bath/shower and a river/mountainside all to yourselves, it's impossible not to have a relaxing time here. We will always remember this place fondly and can't wait to go back.

    Seth2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the last night of our honeymoon in the River Cabin and it was perfect. The stars were awesome and even though it got chilly at night, the outdoor room was still warm enough to sleep in. It was great to wake up to the mountains. Sam was very helpful and so was Jerry (the person who let us in and showed us around). We definitely hope to go back!

    Michelle2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • One of the very best airbnb we've stayed at so far! We secretly kept hoping the next guests would cancel, so we could extend our stay just one more day. I couldn't choose my favorite part of the stay, as there was just too many amazing things! The outside bathtub under the stars at night, cooking fresh farm eggs every morning (which our kind host left us), sleeping in the screened in bedroom with electric blankets, the naps on the couch listening to the windchimes and chatter of the hummingbirds, and coffee at the river in the morning are just a few highlights of our 2 day stay. We will be back very soon!

    Kelly & Milin2015-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here. The house was so peaceful and had some real unique glamping experiences to offer; we loved having a bath under the stars and sleeping in one of the bedrooms that was like sleeping outside. We felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. It was really close to Yosemite and handy for shops. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

  • We checked in late, so didn't meet the hosts the first night but after-hours check in was seamless and fully explained in all her correspondence. The cabin was clean, well stocked and private. Slept like a baby! We met John and Brenda the next morning at breakfast and they were so helpful, friendly and inviting. It was a family affair with kids helping them too. And breakfast overlooking the mountains was divine! John took the time to help us plan our day in the park, from a local's perspective, mapping out points of interest and making suggestions. It turned out to be a perfect day!

  • It was our first airbnb home stay. The place was very clean and quite. There was a guide for nearby restaurants which came in handy. The towels were clean and fresh and so was the bathroom. The bed was also very comfortable. The breakfast was plentyful and delicious. We loved the place and hope to return it to sometime soon :) Thank you Brenda!

    Princi2011-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy place in a lovely area! Brenda was such a great host and her suit worth every penny. We love that she provided Q-tip together with a lot of clean towels, the lovely balcony with with two chairs table to enjoy outdoor BBQ. The heater, hot water and shower works unexpectedly amazing. There's absolutely nothing to complain. Will definitely come back.

    Phu2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean, and very relaxing, exactly what we needed! Great view off the lobby porch.

    Alexa2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Sierra Mountain Lodge is a really nice place! It has a fantastic view of the surrounding forests and fantastic decks to sit out and enjoy the sunset or have a leisurely brunch on the porch. Brenda was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the winter so it was very quiet. There is no breakfast cooked in the winter months and the rooms don't have stoves (just microwaves) so cooking is hard. But the place was completely cozy and in close proximity to Yosemite. We'd go back!

    Katie2013-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Brenda really knows Ahwahnee history and best places to go! My wife and I stayed in the Oak Suite for 5 days and we fell in love with the cabin. Brenda will strive to make sure your stay is 100% satisfactory.

  • My son and I stayed 1 night at mighty oaks, and it was mighty impressive! Dawn is a great host and a very amiable person. The location is just fantastic and the house a jewel. Dawn: again a hug, with many many thanks of hosting us.......

  • My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Mighty Oaks, Oakhurst We got a fairly big room beautifuly decorated, and a nice bathroom which we didn't have to share. Everything was very clean and orgenized. The place itself is locatd at a beautiful quite area (deer are walking arownd in the yard) But the most important thing was our host Dawn, a very warm woman, who took care for all our requests and was just a perfect host (her parfe breakfest is somthing to remember) We warmly recomand this place, and if we'll ever return to that erea for sure we return to this place Zvi & Ruthi

  • My wife and I were lucky enough to spend 2 amazing nights with Dawn. Wow doesn't come close to describing what a wonderful host she is. The house is perfect, homely, and one of the few airbnb homes that far exceeds expectations. The room was immaculate and spacious. Dawn is a wonderfully kind hearted person with excellent knowledge of the local area, we were allowed our own space but Dawn was always free to help out with recommendations and providing the very best Airbnb breakfast I've ever had. Gorgeous parfaits. :-) if you are looking for a top quality homely stay close to Yosemite please look no further, Dawn is the one. We would be back in a heartbeat!

  • Nice place to see Giants séquoia

    Laetitia2013-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Mighty Oaks exceeded all of my expectations. Dawn was a wonderful host who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable (the breakfast fruit parfait is out of this world!). The house is very clean and the bedroom and bathroom are spotless. Oakhurst is very convenient to Yosemite (1.5 hours from Yosemite Valley and 20/30 minutes from Mariposa Grove). This was my first experience Air B&B and I could not have asked for a better one. I whole heartedly recommend the Mighty Oaks for your next trip to Yosemite.

    Caroline2015-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dawns Place was AMAZING! The place was comfy, modern and clean. Definitely Well kept. Everything from booking, checking in and so forth was simple, but the best of all was definetly the breakfast...Dawn made us delicious Bagels and homemade yogurt with fresh fruits. I highly recommend everyone who wants to visit the Yosemite national park to stay at Dawns place!!!

  • I spent my Thanksgiving in Yosemite, and lived here. This place is really awesome: nice view, great room, not too far from the National Park. Love it!

  • This place is incredible. We stayed for two days but definitely it worths staying more. It is really comfortable and it has a lot of space. The view and breakfast are awesome :) It is very quiet and out of the crowded areas that Yosemite has during the summer. The hosts are really nice people and they gave us several recommendations for our plans in Yosemite. We had a wonderful experience in the Sierra Mountain Lodge and we definitely recommend it if you plan to visit Yosemite.

  • We booked a two night stay at Brenda's house. The view, the housing quality is very well above our expectations. The host were very friendly to allow a late check-in. They also provided addtional sheets and pillows for our four people group. John also helped me planned a short visit to Bass lake which is very cool. I will be sure to spend another long weekend at their house next time.

    Xiangyu2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's place is exactly everything written on the list. We were three girls stayed for two days. The location is perfect and there are many restaurants in Oakhurst, which is just 10-15 min away. The room is very clean and the breakfast is delicious! View from the balcony is amazing. Hosts are super nice! Check in& out is very easy. I definitely recommend this place!!

    Jenny2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The room was set up to make it super easy to figure everything out. I wish we had more time here because our stay could not have been more perfect. The room was amazing and being able to take in the view in the early morning was a perfect start to the day. I could have stayed out there the entire trip. Close enough to town and everything you need. This is a must stay if you are looking for something close to Yosemite but not quite in the park.

    Chris2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Both Brenda and John are so great. There was one time that our coffee machine didn't work very well. Just several mins John came our room and replaced it with a new one. What's more, the breakfast was awesome esp. the sausage. :) Pretty great days with them.

Private master suite(with private entrance)has everything you need to relax, and is only 33 miles from the South entrance to Yosemite. Use the large hot tub year round (shared)! Kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and all essentials such as coffee, tea and breakfast items, etc! Cal King Sleep Number bed for a fabulous night sleep! Large seasonal pool for your enjoyment! Relax in the jetted/heated jacuzzi tub or wash the stress away in the walk in shower!
A private entrance leads to your cozy master suite with large bathroom and kitchenette. We provide breakfast items for your first morning with us. Breakfast items consist of Bagels, english muffins, cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, frozen breakfast sandwiches and all the tea and coffee you require during your stay. The rate is based on double occupancy. An extra fee applies for extra guests up to four people(max occupancy)($15 per night/per guest), including children and infants. We have found that any extra person adds additional wear on the space and other costs. Laundry access can be made available for a $20 fee (September through April). Access is in main house from a separate exterior entrance.
Our neighborhood was originally built as a vacation home destination. We have a small and beautiful nearby lake that has a walking trail all the way around it. There are several restaurants, a local golf course, tennis courts, and a small supermarket to meet your basic needs. There is even a gas station just around the corner. We live in a beautiful small community that is rural, filled with wildlife including deer that walk through the yard daily and is a nice haven from busy city life.
  • This is an awesome place. I would rate it as a 5-star AirBnB experience. A bottle of wine and jacuzzi - what can be better than this after a day of trip? I'm glad I stayed here for 2 nights, and sorry that I couldn't stay longer. Very easy to get from here to Yosemite (southern entrance), and good that you can drive the other way back (excellent views). Very good breakfast, comfortable bed, nice place and complete quietness and privacy. I rested with my soyl and body. Thanks a lot! I would love to come back!

  • Lee and Christine are very modest with the description of their home. The spacious private room boasts a gorgeous bathroom with a walk in shower, tub and two sinks (great for couples). My SO and I arrived late at night and could not appreciate the magnificent view until the morning; we thought the light drizzle later that night was a thunderous storm until we saw the mini waterfall (Yes, waterfall) next to the house in the morning. Their home puts the four star hotel where I am staying now in San Francisco to shame. Needless to say, we would highly recommend their home to anyone visiting Yosemite. The drive to Yosemite Valley is approximate 1.5 hours and is nothing shy of tranquil, transcendental and harmonious. 10/10. Would stay again. :]

  • Wow. What a lovely stay I had last night! Since it was my father and myself, having two beds was perfect for us. And also having snacks, breakfast items, etc. for us to enjoy was a bonus! Wine in the hot tub was the perfect nightcap of an exciting evening in Coarsegold. Highly recommend checking this place out!

    LeAnne2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, and wonderful hosts! Truly a beautiful location and an extremely cozy and comfortable and private place. The hot tub is also a great addition!

  • I absolutely loved the serenity of the Acorn Haven. It was relaxing and the beds were extremely comfortable. There is a wonderful kitchenette and complementary wine. I would definitely stay there again. Lee and Christine are great hosts! Super friendly and very helpful when I didn't know how to work the tv. Haha.

No hunting here). NOTE: Late-night check-in is okay here as it has its own private entrance. We will leave the door unlocked for you and key on top of microwave. The Cabin is a very unique, eco-friendly, repurposed structure from a former workshop/art studio. Well insulated, its walls are made from a special material with a foam core inside (not visible and does not include bedroom walls). New Upgrades: There have been many recent upgrades, including stronger wifi (works perfectly), strong water pressure (but please do not take long showers), and tile floors freshly redone (please do not drag or roll suitcases across tiles or they will scratch!). Just ring the bell on the right side of the main house (past the stairs) at the big wooden doors. In dry summer conditions, use of BBQs is discouraged. However, smoking is ok in designated outdoor areas as long as an ashtray is used. Please ask for one of us to show you where outdoor smoking is permitted and we will supply you with an ashtray. The Casita easily holds 4 people. However, it will hold more if two people can share a futon, or someone brings a crib or playpen, or wants to use a sleeping bag inside or outside on the deck, so please do contact us ahead of time to make special arrangements for extra guests. Also note that children, certainly welcome, DO count as guests at any age whether they use a bed or not. It has been our experience that every guest has an impact on the dwelling, whether it's cleaning, or heat /AC utilities, or water, or noise, wear and tear/stains on the furniture or rugs, or all of the above. People who try to sneak extra guests in without paying for them will be confronted with my Irish temper and reported to Airbnb! NOTE: lower Winter rates are now in effect, and you do not have to contact us first if you would like to stay here. Just check our calendar and if it's available, simply Instant Book it!
Our home is in a beautiful valley off Hwy. 41. The homes are mostly ranch properties snd the neighborhood is usually very quiet and very safe. We have access to my neighbor's unusual blue-eyed Appaloosa horses who love people that come to our fence to feed them carrots. We usually have carrots on hand--just ask. Sorry, these horses are not for riding. Be sure to stay on our side of the fence. We also have a rescue sheep named Gladys. She stays with the horses and they protect her from predators. She is wild and untouchable but does appreciate carrots, too. Just throw them near her but not at her. Last, Gladys looks motley because no one can catch her to shear her. She doesn't mind. She thinks she's a horse, anyway :-)
  • We had a beautiful and very peaceful stay at Ginger's. The casita provides plenty of privacy, yet Ginger and her husband are close by and always available for help and advice. The casita is beautiful and has everything you could need. Ginger provided us with lots of tips and maps on what to see in Yosemite, which was great. The place is so peaceful, we saw plenty of deer walk on the grounds and even a bobcat (far away) which was really amazing. The deck makes it easy to have breakfast in the sun and watch the starts at night. Great place, definitely looking forward to returning.

    Pia2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger made us feel welcome, especially when she made the time to sit down and walk us through a map of Yosemite, highlighting the spots we did not want to miss! The neighborhood was lovely and everything was accurately described. Our only complaint, which unfortunately is a pretty big one, is that there was little to no water pressure in the bathroom, making it impossible for us to take a shower after a full day of hiking. This was a major bummer, and we ended up using the kitchen sink to take standing baths. She did, however, offer to let us use her guest bathroom to shower which is in the main house, but by then we were ready to take off. There was also no working wi-fi, which was not a big deal to me. Otherwise, Ginger and her home were welcoming, relaxing, and pleasant.

    Katie2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent a couple of nights at Ginger's and the descriptions she writes and the photos posted really do a good job to represent the house. It's cute and private, a nice little getaway. We only had one day to spend in Yosemite and Ginger did an excellent job of helping us plan out what to see. Without her help we probably would have missed out on a lot. Thanks again!

    Kaitlyn 2015-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great and as expected. Beautiful, quiet setting. Cabin simple but in very good condition. Ginger helped with advice and Michael's restaurant recommendations were spot on.

  • The casita is big, clean and very comfortable! It was great fun watching all the wildlife, very private and relaxing. Loved it!

  • Wow, what a wonderful first AirBnB experience for us this was. Ginger was so awsome. For the two nights we were in her Casita, she provided us with a "family feeling". The Casita was very private, complete and clean. We even cooked all our meals there. The views are amazing; playful ground squirels and horses. But our conversations with Ginger made it complete. She's can tell you a lot about California and she's keen to hear about your travels. I'd definitely go back if I was ever in the neighbourhood.

    Michelle2013-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying Ginger’s beautiful casita. It has a large kitchen and living room area, a comfortable and quiet bedroom, and a spacious deck that oversees the backyard ranch. (It’s a great place for stargazing and we were lucky enough to see the lunar eclipse from the deck one night.) While Ginger’s place is outside of the park, driving back to the casita after a day of hiking felt like going to a home away from home. It has all the modern amenities and privacy we needed, plus it is a short drive away from stores and restaurants. Ginger and Michael were kind and lovely hosts. Ginger gave us great suggestions on where to hike and where to sightsee, which saved us a trip to the extremely crowded visitor center. She shared many tips on places to explore around the park as well as difficulty of the hiking trails. She cares about her guests and enjoys getting to know them. We had wonderful conversations on various topics and sharing stories from our lives. It was truly a pleasure to have met Ginger during our trip, and we can’t wait to be back.

    Danny2014-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin in the mountains was a gem, I am so glad that we found this place not only for the amazing location or the views and the serenity of this place but for the property owners, Michael and Ginger. They made us feel like family. They greeted us with carrots to feed the horses in the morning, and told us about the area and what we would find. They assured us that if we needed anything that they were a few steps away, but they also gave us our privacy. It was perfect ! They were such a lovely couple and so kind that we knew we were definitely coming back to do more exploring in Yosemite and bass lake, which is a short drive from the cabin. Thank you again Michael and Ginger is was such a pleasure meeting you both and staying in your little slice of heaven on earth. Margo Brown Los Angeles, CA

  • This was my fifth Airbnb experience and by far the best. Myself, my wife, our two young kids, and my dad stayed in the guest house and it was very accommodating. The place was very clean and had all the essentials. Barry and Sandy were great! We were pretty busy visiting with family in the area so we didn't get a chance to spend time outside, but we definitely would have. Barry and Sandy have a beautiful piece of property. I'll definitely plan on staying here again next time I'm in town. Do yourself a favor and skip the expensive hotels, just stay here.

A house full of light in the middle of great landscape with deers crossing the backyard. Just a piece of paradise. But the two most valuable thing in our stay were Neil and Ellen, heir kindness, really touched us. Just great people like the ones we'd like to cross in our life every day.

  • Neil and Ellen are the most wonderful hosts I’ve ever had on Airbnb! Our stay was homey and comfortable (so comfortable!). The house was amazing and everything was setup so we have our privacy but also were able to share and talk with Neil and Ellen. I’d recommend this place to anyone coming in the region! Thanks again to Neil and Ellen for making us feel at home!

  • I was looking for a place fairly close to Yosemite and I came across Dorothy's lovely vacation home, and I am so happy I did! The house is very newly renovated, with everything we could want to accommodate our stay. A very nice surprise was having a generously stocked fridge to make breakfast (bread, yogurt, eggs, etc) and a pantry with snacks! Dorothy was very receptive with communication and made sure that if there was any issue (which there wasn't) that she would respond ASAP. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and Dorothy has done a great job at making sure this vacation home is well suited for guests.

    Andrea2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Dorothy's place for three nights during our Yosemite visit. We arrived to an incredibly warm, clean spacious house that was very comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, and stocked with snacks and water for us. Dorothy was very knowledgable and left us with plenty of information on the surrounding town and surrounding national parks. Coming home to an air-conditioned house with hot showers and clean, VERY comfortable beds after hiking and exploring each day was exactly what we needed. (as an aside, we also tried the pizza at round table pizza in the town about 25 minutes away - it was delicious!) i highly highly recommend staying here when looking into Yosemite or Kings Canyon/Sequoia trips. it was approximately 2 hours from either (also factoring in a detour due to wildfires shutting down the direct path to Yosemite for us) but the roads are easy to drive and traffic was not bad (and we traveled on a holiday weekend). thank you for having us dorothy!

    Jacqueline2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place has got to be one of the best Airbnb experience for me and my friends. Dorothy really goes out of her way to provide the best hospitality. We enter to a clean and comfortable home with plenty of snacks and even coffee/tea! All necessities were there (towels, shampoo, detergent, more pillows, etc). We were all blown away and impressed by our host’s generosity. She is very thoughtful and if we were to visit Yosemite again, we would definitely try to book this place. I really recommend Dorothy’s place. :)

    Sally2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is THE best place to stay near Yosemite! The home is beautifully decorated and designed, cozy and comfortable, clean and convenient. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a place to stay near the park. Dorothy is also an icredible host.....she gave welcomed us warmly and gave us a tour around the house. She even ensured we had plenty of snacks, food and fruit around the house. If we could, we would have loved to stay here much longer. Enjoy and relax!

  • I highly recommend this house for your stay in Yosemite, the house very clean, organized, better than in the photos, Dorothy is an excellent hostess, she showed us the house and left us supplies of water, fruit and snack. thanks dorothy!

  • Dorothy's home in Coarsegold is a great location for visiting Yosemite, an easy 30 mile drive to the south entrance. The home is clean, comfortable and very well appointed. Dorothy provided laundry and kitchen detergents, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotions, as well as snacks, cold water and fruit for our stay. The bath and bed linens are lush and welcoming after long days of exploring the park. Dorothy met us at the house at check in and gave us a tour, made recommendations for dining and tips on making the most of our visit. We appreciate her gracious hospitality and highly recommend her home.

    Leeann2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Dorothy's Airbnb. The place was clean with lovely linen and towels( which I don't find everywhere), with the fridge stocked with fruits and snacks ! It was like home to come back to after a tiring day at Yosemite. Will highly recommend it. Thank you Dorothy.

We loved relaxing in the hot tub or taking a dip in the pool. We even decided to cut out one of our "Yosemite days" for a relaxing day at the house. I HIGHLY recommend booking your trip with super host Carl in Yosemite Lakes. We'll be back!!

My house is always clean and inviting for guests. Please bring your family and treat it as if it's your own home. Feel free to cook, do your laundry or just sit back on the couch and watch some TV. Kid friendly, there's plenty of extra parking if you have a boat or RV. I do live in the Master bedroom; however, I would say the house is empty 80 percent of the time. 45 mins to the Yosemite south entrance, 30 mins to the beautiful Bass Lake,CA. I'm local and if you ever have any questions just ask.
  • Nick is an amazing person. His place is clean and very well kept. The location is awesome specially because there's so many outdoor activities around. Highly recommendable for the people heading to Yosemite National Park.

We are excited to host you at our sprawling 40 acre horse ranch.Although we offer rooms for bargain prices, we won't ever skimp on our 5 star breakfast. With 15 animals here you might find a hair out of place but you won't sleep better in your own bed
This is a working Ranch with lots of animals to enjoy
    The History is rich
  • The ranch is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect place to disconnect from the city. The host is very friendly, helpful, and kind hearted. Sunny has an incredible connection with all the animals living on the ranch, and they all love her back dearly. Pippa the dog is the sweetest dog we ever met, our son fell in love with her. The room and bathroom were spotless, and we had an easy access to laundry. And there is a pool! :) The breakfasts deserve their own recognition. Sunny makes the yummiest blueberry pancakes, eggs with organic spinach and tomatoes - a perfect, nutritious breakfast to prepare for hiking in Yosemite ( about 45 min away to the South Entrance). Got to have toasts with the most delicious pomegranate jam. Cant imagine anyone putting more heart and effort into making the guests feel welcome.

    Irina2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Best place ever to stay. Sunny Rae is the most loving and caring person we met in the states. The horse is a wunderfull place to stay.

    Freddie2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • This has to be the best experience with air B&B ever! What a hidden gem-in the most perfect location with stunning views. From the moment we arrived Sunny Rae was so warm and welcoming-not to mention her wonderful animals. The whole experience was just wonderful...wine upon arrival, feeding the horse and watching the sunset. It had felt like meeting a friend you haven't seen for years. Don't hesitate to book-best experience in a real ranch in the country with a lovely host!!

    Lara2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sunny Rae is the most gracious and warm host. Even before arrival we were made to feel important and comfortable by her caring easy manner. The ranch is stunning with its expansive space, the frolic of endearing animals including horses who ate apples from our hands and the epic star gazing!!! During the day we enjoyed day in Yosemite which is just 45 minutes up the road.

    Noadiah2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place to stay at! We rented this room during our trip to Yosemite National Forest and loved it. Sunny is an amazing hostess and she had wine, cheese and snacks waiting for us outside on the veranda when we arrived. There was also great snacks and fruit for us in our room. The room is big and the bed is super comfortable, there is a ceiling fan that keeps the room cool at night and the bathroom is right outside the door and is very spacious with dual sinks. There is also a big closet in the room to hold any luggage or other items you'd like to store. Breakfast is included with your stay and we were treated to some of the most delicious pancakes, sausage and eggs we've ever tasted. The property is beautiful with lots of golden fields surrounding the house. There are beautiful horses on the property that you can see, a few cats and a sweet dog. The animals are all well trained and did not bother us at all. We'll definitely be staying here again during future trips to the Yosemite area.

  • Comfy living place, good food and passionate host! We met Sunny's three horses, two cats with eight 2-week old kittens and one dog. It was a great experience seeing Sunny taking care of them. Sunny cooked breakfast for the guests. We had omelet and blueberry pancake and they were all very delicious. Thanks Sunny for all the help!

  • It's not everyday that you meet a stranger who instantly makes you feel like family. She is the kindest soul. Book this air bnb just so you can meet her! We arrived late at night due to a delayed flight but she stayed up to make sure we were comfortable when we arrived. She provided us with the softest (super clean) towels, snacks, water by our bedside, and the most comfortable bed!! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying with Sunny in her gorgeous home.

This spacious 2250 sq. ft. chalet-style home on one acre is a mere 45-minute drive north from the south gate of Yosemite National Park and in the other direction, Fresno. Located in the foothills, Coarsegold is "above the fog and below the snow." The property is a favorite hangout spot for does and their fawns. ***PLEASE NOTE: Other Airbnb hosts in this county may ask you to pay an extra percentage for tax. We have included the 11% tax in our price, so we do not charge this.***
Moccassin Chalet was designed as a vacation chalet and has an additional great room in the front of the house ("The Big Room"). It's a three-bedroom-two-bath home, with one of the bedrooms downstairs and the other two upstairs. There is a bathroom with a bathtub downstairs and a shared bathroom with a shower upstairs.
Yosemite Lakes Park is in Coarsegold, CA. We have a private security company in the park, along with a retired policeman as a neighbor, making your stay safe and relaxing! People here are very friendly and love to share their knowledge about wildlife. Amenities include swimming pool & golf course (addt'l fees apply to use these), playground, clubhouse, lake, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, and three restaurants, all within ten minutes. Also within minutes are a grocery store, a liquor store and a gas station/convenience store. At one time, several dozen gold mines operated in the area, hence the city's name. During the spring and summer, Yosemite Lakes Park hosts a different band each Friday for its popular Friday Night at the Lake event. Kids run around on the lawn area while adults usually make their own picnic space. You may also be seated and served at the Blue Heron's deck, which overlooks the lake and is quite close to the music.

Moreover, it is very nicely set up for visitors with everything we needed. The check-in was completely seamless and the communication with Deanna and her co-hosts was very smooth. Overall, I would strongly recommend.

  • The house was quiet and comfortable. Exactly what you want after a long day at Yosemite or Sequoia. My pregnant wife (22 weeks) and kids (5&7) all really enjoyed our stay and looked forward to getting home the three nights we were there. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Some light pollution, but the stars were still better there than we've seen in a while. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Rustic Hawaiian open style home located close to Yosemite Lakes Park with a natural, seasonal pond on 21 acres. Hensley Lake close by. Property is scenic with horses that graze naturally. We have wild turkeys, ducks, deer and beautiful birds. Close to nature In a very organic setting.
Great place to relax. Enjoy the Pond from the living room window or chairs on the front grass. In the winter and Spring the grass is green. During the summer as with any mountain property in central California the grass is brown. Nature still is beautiful.
Yosemite National Park is less then 2 hours away, Fresno is 30 miles away with many restaurants, movie theater, River Park exclusive shopping. Churches and the Community of Yosemite Springs is less than 3 miles away. Wonderful hills for biking and enjoying nature. Club house at Yosemite Springs offer, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Gorgeous spot in the middle of nowhere in the Sierra foothills/edge of Central Valley. It's secluded and peaceful; it would be a great place to spend a week, with PLENTY to do (what look like walks even on the property; and then everything in Yosemite and other nearby areas). The horses are friendly and beautiful (although beware a bit with your car; one of them scratched our rental car hood with its hoof). Be warned that it is a long drive from the house to Yosemite: it's just over an hour to the entrance, and another hour from there to Yosemite Valley. Tuolumne Meadows is about 4 hours from the house. The location is fantastic in its own right though; it would be perfect for a week's stay where you go into Yosemite most days and hang out closer to the house a few days. Also, given the price, it is an excellent value. The house itself is quite comfortable, although definitely rustic. It has several outdoor areas to enjoy (two tables, adirondack chairs, a hammock, a grill). The bedroom has visual but not sound privacy from the living room (the walls don't go up to the ceiling). Only one shower in the bedroom's bathroom (second bathroom is just a toilet and sink). The bedroom's bed is a glorified pullout couch and so a bit saggy in places but otherwise comfortable. Sturdy, very pleasant house, with a good sound system and comfortable couches. If you were cozy you could easily sleep 6 people (more if you have camping mats on the floor). Overall, great experience!

    Sasha2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this little cottage for 2 days and we had a very nice time. The surrounding area is beautiful and relaxing. Marilyn welcomed us so warmly and we really appreciated how they accommodated our two dogs as well. It is about an hour to the Yosemite south entrance gate, come in early and the drive shouldn't be too bad. The mornings here are so beautiful. Enjoy your cup of coffee outside and be greeted by friendly horses! Go and check out this gem, you will not regret it.

    Clarisse2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is literally perfect I'm shocked it's not a gold medal winner for the price! Albert and Marilyn were so kind and accommodating, we can't believe we got such an amazing full stocked cabin with everything we could possibly ever need for five grown people and we visited on labor day weekend in the middle of a heat wave. The fridge even came stocked with some simple goodies for us to enjoy. We loved spending time with the beautiful wild horses. Thank you for the perfect retreat and am unforgettable family trip <3

    Maryjane2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marylin is a very good master, his home is beautiful and comfortable, I spent a pleasant evening here.

    xiao2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyns place was nice. The horses were a nice sight to see in the morning. The pond was a nice place to observe wildlife. The only mishap was the invasion of the ants and other bugs dye to the extreme heat.

    Angelica 2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Probably our favorite BnB experience ever. Marilyn's place is clean, stocked, and cozy. Perfect for your Yosemite- Sierra Nevadas excursion. Nothing short of magical describes this property.

    Jessie2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Two friends and I stayed in Marilyn and Albert's cottage as we ventured out to Yosemite and then on to San Francisco. Marilyn and Albert were impeccably communicative and Albert met us at the cottage to show us around and give us the keys. The home was open and spacious, situated on 21 acres of gorgeous land. The fridge was stocked with food and drink and Albert welcomed us to all of it. The nearby pond and the friendly horses on the property made our stay picturesque to say the least. We were delighted with Marilyn and Albert's hospitality and generosity. We would most certainly stay here again and again!

We are located in the south part of Coarsegold. We are 10 minutes from Chuckchansi Casino with a number of great restaurants. We live in a family friendly neighborhood with a park like feel. There is a local clubhouse with a restaurant and bar. There is a local gas station, market and a nearby golf course. Our neighborhood was once a vacation community and we love living here. We think you will love it too!
  • Beautiful accomodation, extremely clean and Carl was incredibly welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our last night in America and will be back to stay another day

  • Acorn cottage was a truly lovely oasis in the middle of a world wind work trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the lovely attention to detail, and the generosity of our hosts. Wish we had more time!

  • Lee and Christine's cottage is spectacular!! They have put such care and effort into this place. It is impeccably designed and perfectly decorated. The bed is crazy comfortable (memory foam!). And the pool and hot tub are a joy! It's located in a beautiful little community. You will feel pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of life. Lee was super communicative and helpful. Very nice as a host! I would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely come back and stay again! Note it is a bit of a drive to Yosemite. But, I think the drive is half the fun. If you like road trips, and your priority is peace and quiet and relaxation, this is the place for you. I had a wonderful stay!

  • Acorn Cottage is a separate unit nest to the main house on a rural property. This was a nice, quiet location, and it gave us freedom to come and go as early or late as we wanted to without bothering anyone. We mainly wanted a comfortable place to stay during the evenings while we explored Yosemite during the day. Lee and Christine were very accommodating in their flexibility for our arrival time, and communicated with us through text and email. This was very helpful, as we arrived fairly late our first day. The unit was clean, and well-furnished, including conveniences of WiFi, AppleTV, and a kitchen. The Keurig was most appreciated! They had a binder with information about places to eat in the area, which was nice. The unit had thermostat control, which kept us comfortable. Understanding that there aren't many places that are very close to Yosemite Park without staying in one of the hotels in the park itself, this was definitely a good value for us to stay at to visit Yosemite. Really, most of the driving time was within the park itself. We enjoyed Yosemite and our stay at Acorn Cottage.

  • we had a delightful experience at the acorn cottage. this is a perfect weekend getaway near yosemite. the neighborhood was quiet with a gas station, market, and other conveniences close by. you can tell much thought and attention to detail was put into making the acorn cottage a magical place. lee and christine were awesome, taking the time to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. full kitchen + bbq were great to have, but bring your own chef knife. space felt bigger than it appears in photos. highly recommend!

  • Lee's home was the perfect home for us after a long drive from LA and a long day hike from Yosemite; the place was clean, cozy, and comfrontable.

  • We like this cottage very much. Jennifer and Carl were very nice and friendly. The welcome gifts made us warm and manual for surrounding areas was very informative. The bedroom, living room and kitchen were very clean and with good quality in which you could have your own private space. Swimming pool made my son very happy, and my son liked to play with hosts' kids.

Beautiful and festive studio in the Yosemite foothills.
Studio has a tree-house feel, beautiful views of soaring golden eagles, deer, other wildlife, and the abundant oak & pine trees up here in the Yosemite foothills. The bright and airy interior is decorated festively in keeping with the vacation-get-away theme here. It is the only apartment upstairs from the upscale Spanish home below it so has lots of privacy, does not share anything, and is away from our pets. If you are a fun person, love color and a very quiet but cheerful surrounding, this is for you! Note: LATE CHECK-IN OKAY for this unit because it has its own private entrance. There is a full kitchen and a counter with stools to eat at, a microwave and large refrigerator, a stove and range. It has a Mexican tile mural above the range, and a view of the courtyard and fountain below. There is also a full bath with custom tile, a shower/tub, and a combo living room/bedroom with a brand new queen-sized bed and also a single futon. Two nice bonuses are it now has newer carpet, and a covered balcony with small table and chairs overlooking the meadow, and a little further away my neighbor's pasture where their Appaloosa horses (and my one motley rescue sheep, Gladys) eat. This is a great place to chill, have a glass of wine and/or a cigarette on the balcony (there is no smoking in the room itself, and please shut room's front door while smoking on the balcony), listen to the tinkling windchimes hanging from a logpole above you, and enjoy the (usual) afternoon breeze. Bring a book (or Kindle) or write one:-], study, watch the occasional deer stroll by, squirrels playing, cotton-tail rabbits, ravens, quail, hummingbirds and lots and lots of other birds with their beautiful songs. The only drawback here is that you must climb 1 flight of stairs to get to this unit, and there isn't much storage space - has only a small closet. Distance from the Yosemite entrance is approx. 30 miles, which takes betw 40-60 minutes to drive, depending on traffic. The Gate is very close to the Mariposa Grove (huge Sequoia trees), 10-15 mi. to the Wawona area next to the Merced River with its covered bridge, and museum of Old West homes and artifacts. From there it is another 30 min. approx. to the Yosemite Valley or Glacier Point. We have great maps of Yosemite showing where all the waterfalls, hiking trails, etc., are, and also info on Bass Lake, which is only 25 miles away from our house. You can rent boats, hike, or even swim there. I am happy to go over the maps with you and make sure you don't miss anything important and don't get lost. I will also explain where the grocery stores are or anything else you need. Just come down to the main house if you arrive during the day and ring the bell, or if you arrive late, ring the bell the next morning after 10 am. ARRIVAL TIMES: Although check-in time is at 3 pm daily, we are flexible depending on our other guests schedules. You are always welcome to come early and drop off your luggage, go over the Yosemite maps, and take off for Yosemite afterward, making the most of your day and knowing your way home :-] Michael and I live downstairs and are usually home and available to talk or chat with, if you are interested in getting to know a local. We are warm, friendly hosts and enjoy meeting and talking with guests, so if you'd like to chat or have some questions about the area or whatever, just ring our doorbell :-) We also respect those who just want their privacy, so don't feel obligated to visit the main house if that's not for you. Our home is in a country setting with lots of oak, pines and huge, ancient boulders on the property. It is normally a very quiet place to chill out and relax. We also have some historic remnants of a very rough "Chinese Wall" made during the Gold Rush days (1800s) when miners panned the creek at the bottom of our 5-acre property. We will be happy to show you where that is if you are interested in seeing it. Groceries are available at a market in downtown Coarsegold, about 5 miles further north on Hwy 41, and the big supermarkets, sporting goods stores, restaurants, etc., are in Oakhurst, which is about 15 miles from our house, also further north on Hwy 41. It's a good idea to bring some groceries with you so you won't have to go shopping when you arrive. Or, there is a large casino just 8 minutes away that has a huge buffet, noodle bar, '50s cafe, and a regular restaurant with good food. Finally, there is a washer and dryer available in the garage for your convenience during day-time hours. I look forward to your visit!
This is a very safe neighborhood!
  • Amazing host .. amazing place.. Ginger and Mike were really good host and made us feel very comfortable. GINGER not only took us through maps, which was helpful since it was our first visit but Mike also provided the chains for our car since it snowed at yosomite . We would obviously love to come again and stay here. This was our first airbnb experience and we will for sure go for such experience in future. Ginger's place is beautiful with trees and birds and deck. We enjoyed having our food on the deck . The kitchen is pretty much self sufficient and really helpful for people like us who prefer vegetarian and home made food . Love you guys. We will be back soon

  • What a wonderful place to stay. Ginger and Michael are great hosts, everything they suggested we did and it all turned out great. All the accommodations are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, and to top it off they have a super love bomb cat named Tyrone we all fell in love with. We look forward to coming back soon. I highly recommend staying here, you'll be glad you did.

  • Our stay was great! Ginger was very accommodating and her place was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, private and comfortable. She was also very helpful and had great suggestions for what to do in Yosemite!

  • We really enjoyed our stay. Ginger was a wonderful host and gave us a ton of great information about Yosemite as well as Coarsegold and Oakhurst. The studio was very cute and clean and well-equipped, and the property was so peaceful. We hope to come back some day!

    Tara2014-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We were delighted with the host and the setting of the studio apartment. It was what we expected from previous positive reviews about the host's willingness to provide helpful information on what to see in Yosemite and when. And the property is very quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we wanted for our stay at Yosemite. They suggested the nearby Casino buffet to us, and we loved it! We ate there all three days of our stay.

    Pat2014-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger and Michael were great hosts! Ginger took a lot of time and helped us thoroughly plan our Yosemite trip and more! Their studio was clean and as advertised. They were there to assist us with our needs. Definitely would recommend Ginger and Michael's home to anyone looking to explore Yosemite and have a nice getaway. Thank you again!

    Tien2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Romantic Treetop is a perfect place to getaway from the hustle bustle of city life and relax. We slept like champs with the fresh air of the windows open and the sunlight was welcomed in the morning. Peaceful morning coffee outside on the terrace overlooking their property was a huge huge perk! We had a well-equipped kitchen - fridge sink, toaster oven, plates, silverware, coffee maker and they even supplied non-bleached coffee grind holders! We loved the peace and tranquility of the neighborhood, the animals- horses, cats, birds, hummingbirds, (we even heard the coyetes). Doug's favorite was the sheep who was a rescue. The location is ideal. (Know that the closest grocery store is in Oakhurt a quick town away.) We packed a cooler with enough food for 4 days and had no trouble. It was about a 40 minute beautiful scenic drive into Yosemite and through the Sierra park. I loved every single minute of it and have nothing but rave reviews! Ginger and Michael are stellar hosts. They are incredibly hospitable and we were fortunate enough that they took their time to invite us into their beautiful custom built Spanish style home. I fell in love with the courtyard (and country life all over again). Ginger really went above and beyond when she described Yosemite for us and seeing that it was a first time for us- it really saved us time planning and figuring. We appreciated our hosts so much. We came as strangers and left as friends- they're that kind of people. I would come back in a hurry! Thanks you two for everything you do to offer such an amazing getaway !

    Doug & Lily2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great. Neat, tidy, nice kitchen space. It's out of the town in the middle of rolling hills with deer and horses. Really beautiful. I'm sorry we could stay only 2 nights.

We had dinner one night and also had breakfast together. She was kind enough to pack some freshly baked coffee cake for our drive back to Sunnyvale. Delicious :) The house is as described and is located an hour from the South entrance of Yosemite park. It is also a very convenient location to stay if you want to visit Kings canyon or Sequoia national park. The bedroom is very beautiful and they have a serene backyard. Their dog Shiloh is very friendly and overall it is a great place to stay.

  • We had such a great time with Chris and Kirk although Yosemite was closed because of the government shutdown! They are the perfect hosts: relaxed, open-minded and great communicators. They gave us the feeling of being part of a big family and we immediately felt at home in their house. We cooked a lot with them, had a fantastic BBQ, watched a movie together and had long and far-ranging conversations. Their house is beautifully designed, the guest bathroom is a piece of art and the bed is very comfortable. To sum it up: this is just perfect and highly recommended for everyone!

We had amazing breakfast each morning where we even participated in preparing because this place was home(URL HIDDEN)Their home is so beautiful. Beautiful spacious home with privacy in the Sierra Mountain. Close to Hwy 41, Chuckchansi casino Oakhurst & Yosemite. At first glance of entry you will be greeted by the breathtaking landscape of trees and distant mountain views reaching in through the great room windows shining light throughout. The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 full bath, 2 half bathroom, spa room and exercise room. There is a private all-fenced in-ground pool.
  • Jashmine's place is wonderful and truly exceeded our expectations. The place is large and comfortable, with plenty of space to sleep a dozen or more folks. The house is beautiful, the pool is great (especially for kids - they loved the small waterfall) and the cinema room has quite a few perks, such a big projector, Karaoke setup, etc. - it's great fun for the whole family. The kitchen and dining room are great for hosting big dinners and the work-out room helped us stay in shape over the weekend. There is also an extra hot tub. Our hosts greeted us on time and were super gracious and helpful. They helped us plan our vacation and gave us great tips about the area. They were 100% available on a phone call and live near by. Overall, if I end up visiting the general Yosemite area again I would definitely come back to this place.

  • Jashmine & dorna is the best of the best. They welcomed us at there house with love and respect. They treated us like family and took care of us showing us around the house. Answering any questions we have or concerns. Great people, great hospitality. About the property what I have to say!! We felt very lucky renting this property from them! the house is really big and nice fit all 13 of us. Very clean house all the way from kitchen to bed rooms and bathrooms. The out door is so beautiful. Again great place to enjoy your getaway. Thank you so much for having us and will do it again.

  • We had a group of 12 staying for a weekend Yosemite trip. The house was very spacious and provided plenty of entertainment (i.e. karaoke on a huge projection screen, beautiful pool with a waterfall, spa downstairs, pool table, etc.). Jashmine and Drona were very friendly folks who greeted us and gave us a detailed tour of the property. They stayed close by and always made themselves available. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a very good time in this house, we had our own private access to our bedroom and our own bathroom! The location is into the wild, very relaxing! In the morning we had a really good surprise with an excellent breakfast in front of our door. They cared a lot about our well being. Their daughter Leslie was really nice. The house is about 1.30 from the center of Yosemite Valley, so you need to wake up early if you want to go there. I recommend this place!

  • It was simply awesome staying at the Yosemite Redwoods and the place was absolutely what we would have desired. The hosts had given it a personal touch and was well thought through, perfectly fitting into our imagination of an accommodation in the forest. Beds, rooms and bathroom were quite spacious and kept very clean. The patio was perfect for a nice cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Sighting a deer nibbling at a tree right outside the sit-out was the icing to our vacation.

  • Doug and Elizabeth's place was lovely. I really appreciated the snacks and other homey details. My husband and I enjoyed a great stay - the location is perfect for getting up early to head to Yosemite.

    Christie2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is undoubtedly the best air bnb we have ever stayed in & even beats 5 star hotels. Ever detail is perfect & goes above and beyond, from homemade cookies on arrival, a stocked fridge, a magnet & cute note, a drawer full of things you might need in the bathroom....I could go on. We got great advice from Douglas about what to do in Yosemite (great location for visiting) and it was a pleasure to meet him. The bed was insanely comfy and we enjoyed the adapting table when we had dinner in our room after a long day of walking. The festoon lighting in the garden is also gorgeous and we enjoyed spotting the deer lurking about. If you have the chance to stay here when in the area, do so - you'll not regret it. Should we ever be back in the area we'll for sure stay here again - if it's not already been snapped up! Thanks Douglas & Elizabeth!

Our home is a custom Dutch Colonial style situated on two acres in the Sierra Nevada foothills and includes a refreshing pool and spa. We are located at the southern end of the California gold rush country and only 45 minutes from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The "Master Suite" has its own entrance and private bathroom with nice views of the pool, rose garden, and the surrounding natural landscape.
  • Sarah gave us the warmest welcome, so that we felt home from the start. The suite was cozy and lovely arrange, it was equipped with coffee, homemade cookies, water, delicious smoothies and everything you need. You can feel that Sarah has an eye for beautiful details. The garden with swimming pool and hot tup left nothing to be desired. Sarah and her husband were both always cordial, caring and attentive. Every morning Sarah made as a wonderful breakfast with fresh eggs from her own chickens, fantastic coffee and homemade marmalade. We felt so well at Sarah’s home that we decided to stay for an additional day. Luckily Sarah was very flexible and made it possible for us. I would really recommend this place to everybody. It was a wonderful stay at the Yosemite Pit Stop Suite and I would always come back again. Thank you Sarah and Tim for making us feel home!

  • Sarah is an excellent host, she went above and beyond to take care of us, they're lovely folks and willing to give great directions/recommendations to Yosemite hiking trails and sceneries, 10/10

  • Sarah is very sweet, and the room is very clean and beautiful. The bed and shower is incredible. She left some homemade cookies and cakes that was wonderful. The wifi is not so good in the whole region, my phone wouldn"t conect to the available wifi. All the rest Just perfect

  • True hospitality. Coming from someone who works at a luxury 5-star hotel in San Francisco, Sarah and her family meet the highest of standards. Not only was she available for any request we had (reasonable of course), she also anticipated every need before we asked. I do not believe I have ever met a more kind, well-rounded, genuine family. When we arrived, she greeted us with FRESH baked banana bread. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Fridge was stocked with yogurt and juice. Sarah reached out to me prior to arrival to make herself available for questions. Truly a great visit.

  • This place was perfect as our last night stay of a two week vacation! It was relaxing, beautiful, and the hosts could not have been nicer! This is THE place to stay near Yosemite and we can't wait to go back.

  • We had reservations for a week in Yoesmite but I wanted a couple days to unwind before the main event so I booked Sarah and Tims master suite for two nights. The room was emaculate! With a mini fridge. Stocked with healthy treats by the way...coffee and maker. Bathroom was exceptional. Big ole shower and giant tub. We swam like fish in the pool and explored the area near Bass lake. It would have good enough to go home after the two nights because the area was beautiful!!! Sarah and her family were so accommodating it was ridiculous! Such an amazing family! Sarah and Tim, your doing an amazing job raising those kids. All I can say is book it! Don't even hesitate for a second. It's perfect. Bring a kid or two. There's room!!! Thank you!!!!

  • I stayed for 2 days at Sarah's mater suite and I felt that I am a very lucky person to find such a great place. Sarah made me feel so comfortable just like my family. She is so cool and kind. Her master suite is spacious, clean and so beautiful. I enjoyed every moment at there. I had breakfast at terrace watching her beautiful garden and scenery. To Yosemite Valley and Glacier Points, it took less than 2 hours but I very much enjoyed breathtaking views all the way to Yosemite. I was able to dine and get some stuff at small town near her house. I strongly recommend this place and I miss Sarah and the nights (many stars in the sky!) at her suite already.

  • we had a wonderful, relaxing visit. Sarah and Tim made us feel so welcome in every way possible. This book is not a business for them, it is a calling to spread love and hospitality. The little things made such a difference; coffee, water, juice......not to mention the banana bread! We miss them Already!!!!

Cute mountain home with a warm cozy feeling of a home filled with love & memories! Beautiful landscaping in the heart of the foothills surrounded by the famous gold mining towns of central California, 2 miles from Chuckchansi Resort & Casino, 20 min drive to Famous Bass lake & approx 1 hour from the Valley floor of Historic Yosemite National Park!
This space is a cozy home filled with the charm of a cabin nestled in the mountains,
Private location, tons of outdoor space, close to the best of everything the foothills & sierras have to offer!
  • My family and i had a great stay at Sherrie's Place as a host she is very friendly and accommodating, and if i had a question she always responded quickly. The home is lovely nestled into the hill side, definitely charming lil Orange cabin. we enjoyed bbqing and siting outside at night enjoying the lights and the gentle sounds of the pond in the back was very soothing to go to bed to. Beautiful Landscaping. Thank you Sherrie for this experience. Shirley, Norman & Kids

  • Sherri's place made me feel more at home than my own house. It was cozy, comfortable, tranquil, and clean. I brought my family here to celebrate my brothers graduation. Great outside and inside environment! Close to Yosemite (~20-30 min). Highly recommended!

    Tatyana2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • It felt like home, warm and cozy. They are restaurants and shops not far away. There are many amenities at the house. Thank you once again Sherrie. Definitely staying there again on our Yosemite trip.

    Christian 2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great, had a little trouble finding the home because we came in so late and it was pitch dark. Otherwise, I thought our stay was fantastic. Sherrie was very accommodating, responds quickly to any questions you might have for her. Place was very spacious, comfortable, and can fit many guests if you have a slightly bigger party. About 30-40 minutes away from southern entrance of Yosemite. Took us about 1 hour and 30 to get to the hiking trails at Yosemite, which was very reasonable in my opinion. Lovely home, great beds (3 beds, 1 air mattress, 2 large couches), roomy, very family friendly. Thank you for letting us into your home!

  • House was nice very hot in the summer because of no A/C and we stayed a month the owner complained about the power bill from the swamp cooler being used ... no heat other than a wood stove we had to provide our own wood also many neighboring dogs running around and I was told it was my dog who had pooped all over the property when I cleaned very well and it took the host a week to go check ... god knows how many dogs pooped while she was gone !!!

  • We really loved the place. Even it was a very short stay for us we very much got connected with the home. Brenda was too helpful with everything and even responded to us late night by coming and helping us find the address when we are lost

    CHANDRAKIRAN2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda and her husband were excellent hosts. They make the whole process of checking in and out VERY easy and convenient. We had many issues with different amounts of people staying each night, and Brenda handled it all with grace and ease. The place itself if quite nice. It is very spacious AND very clean. There were plenty of towels, beds and linens, and the kitchen is very well stocked. It is a bit of a drive into Yosemite Valley, 20 minutes to the gate, and an hour drive into the valley, but it is a lovely drive so we had no issue with making the drive daily. Creek Hideaway was a wonderful place to return to after our adventures in Yosemite. AND, the fresh eggs are just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend Creek Hideaway!

  • This is a perfect house to stay on your way to Yosemite. Huge, clean and the host though about every little detail. Just perfect.

    Baruch2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house is VERY nice, spacious, and comfortable. Our expectations were exceeded and we would stay here again. It's very close to Wawona and Oakhurst and was the perfect place to stay before entering Yosemite. Thanks!

    Patrick2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda is a wonderful host, very responsive while respecting all the privacy anyone would like! Great location, close to Yosemite, Bass Lake for day trips.

    Marc2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda was responsive in communication. The property itself is in a nice secluded area less than half an hour from Yosemite's entrance, and is alongside a creek. The neighborhood itself is nice and quiet, with the sounds of nature ringing across from the wilderness. When we opened our windows, we heard the croaks of frogs and running water from the creek throughout the night. This gave us the living in nature feel without all the discomforts that normally come with it. The house itself was very cozy and clean with giant beds. No complaints there at all. Overall a great place to rest up either before or after your Yosemite trip.

    Cyrus2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and spacious!

    Daniela2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
