  • The condo was a lovely place to stay and had everything we needed (a well stocked kitchen, white goods etc) and was a perfect location to explore the park. The studio is cosy but didn't feel too pokey and would suit a couple just fine. The fold down bed was comfortable and added to the space. Holly was great to correspond with and was always on hand if we needed anything. Highly recommended.

  • The apartment appeared to be a heaven to us after our long road trip to get to Yosemite : very clean, really cosy, quiet and with an excellent equipment within the apartment but also in the premises where there is a laundromat. There is also a shared room with even more games , DVD and information than those already provided by Holly, which seemed already plentiful to us. We stayed there for 2 days but we could have easilly enjoyed staying much longer. The location can not be better in Yosemite because it is roughly at equal distance from the Valley, Mariposa Grove or Glacier Point.

  • Loved the beautiful location in the park:) very clean and quiet. Holly was amazing and responded quickly to our questions and concerns! Definitely will be back!!! Carmen and Robert Jenkins

  • My husband and I stayed in these lovely condo's as part of our honeymoon. The condo's were absolutely lovely, very clean and tidy. We stayed 3 nights in a smaller one and then 2 nights in another one, the caretaker very kindly moved our bags and our grocery shopping, even the food we had in the fridge! It was about a half hour drive outside of Yosemite valley but close to other locations in the national park, as a result we found it well positioned. Holly was so easy to deal with and very prompt in helping us sort out our accommodation. All in all a very good experience.

    Tiffany2015-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice!

    Duxing2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a Yosemite getaway! The Foxes Lair was a cozy space, with a great little kitchen & fireplace. Tucked among the trees it was very accommodating and had everything needed for a comfortable stay!

    Vincent2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's condo was small but perfectly formed. We stayed two nights with two adults, two kids and had a very comfortable stay. The condo is well-equipped (lovely towels!) and located about half an hours's drive from Yosemite village. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thankyou Holly.

  • Shayla's property exactly, if not, even better than the pictures on the website. The place is about 25 mins drive to visitor center and one hour from Mariposa. 5/5 recommend for small friend group or family vacations

  • Fabulous unit in a great location about 30 mins from Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point. It was spotlessly clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

    Steven2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect! Only 25 minutes to the village, in the middle of the forest, absolutely beautiful. View from balcony was forest! The condo was very clean and had everything you could need, except shampoo, bring shampoo and soap. Everything was immaculate! We loved our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Colleen2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • As expected. Didn't have any problem with my stay

    Kundan2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a corner room. The noise was minimal, the kitchen ware was excellent and the ease of check in was fabulous. The only thing we disliked was the bed, which is memory foam and not suitable for different guests each night. You can’t beat the location!!

    Sarah2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Yosemite is quite simply mind blowingly beautiful. This condo ( small apartment for U.K readers) is perfectly located within the park in West Yosemite but only a 20 min drive from the main sites of the Y. valley. It's well equipped for a short stay for a small family and decorated in traditional fashion.

    Ben2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very good accommodation in the heart of Yosemite, especially if you're planning an all-day hike from any one of the trail heads and want to start first thing in the morning. The unit itself was very clean, well-equipped, and communication/check-in with Shayla was flawless. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!

    Manny2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Accommodations were just as pictured - very nice, very comfortable. Plenty of space for the 3 of us. Unfortunately we had noisy neighbors, but finally at 11pm we called the management, which was very responsive, and everything quieted down. So our only complaint had nothing to do with the host or the facilities. The location was convenient to Yosemite Valley. We'd happily stay again.

  • The place was extremely nice, very clean and comfortable, just like in the pictures. We stayed only one night, but it's perfect for exploring de park, very close to the best places. We are certainly coming back another time! Ohhhh ..and the bed was awesome too, we had a great night sleep!

  • We took a family vacation to Yosemite this year and absolutely loved this place. It was about a 25 minute drive to the Tunnel View and 10 minute drive to Glacier Point Road. The condo was very clean and spacious, there were 4 of us and we were very comfortable. The neighborhood was really nice, it was set off the main road and you were surrounded by the forest and nature, truly beautiful. There was an outside patio with a BBQ. It snowed while we were there which was perfect for our girls, who have never seen snow. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking at going to Yosemite.

    Meghann2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient studio apartment to come back to after a day in the park. Clean and easy to check in. Just a bit pricey but that’s to be expected.

    Kyle2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and everything went smoothly! The location is perfect, 15-30 minutes from the best views in Yosemite!

    Bryan2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, essentially inside the park! The apartment was cozy and clean. We also utilized the pull out bed which was better than expected. Highly recommend for anyone spending a weekend exploring the park!

    Alex2016-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy with our stay! The drive into the park was very scenic and offered great views. The room was clean and cozy and the kitchen was surprisingly well equipped with cookware, more than we were expecting from a rental. Overall we had no complaints and enjoyed our stay. The walls are thin like others have mentioned so if you have noisy neighbors it may be an annoyance but we didn't have any issues with noise during our stay. If you're looking for a place to stay near the park I'd definitely recommend it.

    Alex2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay in beautiful Yosemite.

Private apartment in beautiful Yosemite West (with in park gates) quiet and away from crowds. Equipped with everything you'd need and want for a cozy getaway. It is 13 miles from Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and Wawona Hotel and golf course. Zero to low cell service in the neighborhood. The home does come with wifi, but it is by no means high speed internet with downloading capabilities. NO smoking in unit, NO smoking on the deck, NO smoking on the property please.
The full first floor of a large mountain home. A private apartment with separate entrances, patios and parking. My home has everything you'd need for a great stay in Yosemite. Full kitchen with open dining room and living room access, full bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom also has a twin bed and the sofa turns into a bed. You have your own private patio with a gas BBQ, table and chairs. Your parking is directly in front of your patio - no walking up stairs or carrying luggage up hill - easy access to unpack and walk right in. No stairs here!
Our neighborhood is snuggled into Yosemite West, a privately developed hidden gem snuggled right in the middle of Yosemite National Park. Quiet and low crowds makes for your ultimate cozy and comfortable mountain experience.
  • Love this particular bottom unit of a duplex cabin. Yosemite West is a great location in general, being inside of the park. The place was clean and very well kept. When we arrived, it was snowing for a bit. I got to the cabin and didn't realize the driveway was a bit icy. So I had to spend some time shoveling out snow. DVD player is broken and there's no satellite TV in the unit. So if you watch a lot of TV or movies, might want to bring something to watch. We had a pleasant stay overall.

    Alex2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in Yosemite. the close proximity of Hans home to Glacier point (30 mins) was great for sunrise and sunset photos and viewing. the Basement flat was comfortable and great to relax in after a day of walking. It was a lovely quiet neighbourhood and the extra goodies in the cupboards added to our stay.

    Hugh2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Hans place was incredible! The neighborhood was super quiet and safe. The basement was ample and was perfect for our little stay, even though it was only two of us it would be perfect for a larger family! The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked dinner every night at home. Wonderful porch to sit and have morning coffee on and enjoy the view! It was around 30-40 mins give or take from most of the trails/scenic locations in the valley. Would definitely stay again!

    Evan 2017-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Alpine Hut was a great location for my husband and I. It's close enough to the main attractions in Yosemite but far enough away from the crowds. We were happy to have a full kitchen so we could cook our meals and we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the place...very spacious! Make sure you have a map or know the area because cell service is little to none but we knew that going in so no issues. Thanks Hans for a great stay!

    Allison2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This location within the park cannot be beat. Very large bottom flat that was very clean and all updated. This place has a nice outside patio to grill and eat dinner. It is about a 30 min drive to glacier point that has breathtaking views. I would certainly rent again.

    Matt2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location, only challenge could be parking your car. We liked the place, and may come in the future for sure :)

    Lokesh2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location within park grounds, a clean space and a full kitchen with all the tools you need. The house is located in Yosemite West along Rt 41, which is about 20-25 minutes from the valley. It also offers close proximity to Mariposa Grove, although the sequoia grove itself is closed currently to allow for environmental rehabilitation. All in all a solid little place to stay for 2-3 people. One issue we noticed was the hot water being a little inconsistent where it would be fine, then go completely cold mid-shower. Not sure if this was just something others have dealt with, but the hot water generally came back on in a few minutes.

    Mark2016-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you're heading into Yosemite. Has one bedroom that sleeps 3, and a pull out bed under a couch. Super clean and comfortable. Realistically 2 couples or a small family. About 30 min from the valley floor but still inside the park limits. We went for a weekend and really enjoyed it.

  • The cabin was at a good location in Wawona with a convenient store a short walk away. Garth was accommodating with our late night arrival. Staying in the park was a great experience. Garth also was very helpful giving us tips to see different parts of the park and some books to read. Overall very happy to have stayed here.

    Chad2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Garth's cabin was perfect, it was just what we were looking for as an escape from the city. He was very friendly and helpful with recommendations around the area. His dog, Alice, was very friendly too and our dog loved to run around the property playing with her. The location is great and you can hear the river from the cabin which was very relaxing at night. We will be sure to rent again when we are back in Yosemite!

    Paul2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin 7C at Camp Chilnualna was wonderful. It had a very homey feeling, with all of the utensils provided, and was located right on the river away from the other cabins. The host was very gracious, the cabin was tidy and clean upon our arrival, and was conveniently located close to the Wawona Lodge, small grocery stores, and Yosemite Valley itself. Hiking, and fishing were right out of your front door. Will definitely go back and rent this cabin again. Thank you...........

    Ken2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two days/nights in this adorable cabin and it was absolutely beautiful! The cabin is perfect, with everything we needed, plus a comfy bed! The view from right outside the patio is WOW! It's incredible. That alone was worth everything. You step out in the morning and see the ginormous mountain rock side so close, and the streams running right next to the cabin. Breathtaking. The location is perfect too, with the Sequoias so close and also numerous trails. I need to say how Garth was SO amazing to my boyfriend and I. He was super attentive if needed, very friendly, helpful, and caring! He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. At one point, we got locked out of our cabin early morning and Garth was right there to get us back in! I also ended up leaving my phone in the area on the last day (It fell off the roof of my car! Crazy trip..) and Garth drove to go find it after digging through the cabin to look for it. He went out of his way for us in every scenario and it was so appreciated. We will definitely be back to stay here. We loved it so much, and Garth's hospitality made it extra special! I would highly recommend. You will love it just as much as we did. It is SO beautiful! Can't wait to come back and thank you Garth!

    Sidney2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was my first time to use Airbnb, and because of Garth and his amazing place, I had an wonderful experience. Garth is super friendly, and he knows everything about Yosemite. The cabin's location and conditions are perfect. You can see the Wawona dome from the window. We spent two night in the cabin, and we had a BBQ on the patio in the second evening. Highly recommend it to everyone who wants to have a wonderful time in Yosemite.

    Lin2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Garth went out of his way to make sure everything was ok. He stayed in communication with us even while we were traveling on the way to the cabin. He checked in several times during our stay to see if we needed anything, and provided first hand knowledge of the area and it's attractions to us. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable.

    Jimmy2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in the cabine. The cabine has everything you need for 4 people (we cooked every night and did not miss anything) and has a wonderfull terrasse. The cabin is located in a beautiful and quiet area. We also appreciated that the cabin is located in the parc.

    Jeanne2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb experience is not one I would like to repeat. Check in is listed as 4pm. When we arrived Garth was nowhere to be seen. There is absolutely NO cell phone coverage in Yosemite so we couldn't call Garth to find him or our cabin. We decided to head to Marisposa and look at the giant sequoias (worth the short drive there) before heading to the Wawona Hotel for a quick meal. We arrived back at the cabin at 6pm. We knocked on a few doors before a neighbour? found Garth for us. He was still cleaning our cabin :-/ He suggested we go and swim at the swim hole whilst he finished up, but having spent the day traveling from San Fran all we really wanted to do was unpack and relax. The following morning we headed off to walk Glacier Point in Yosemite Valley. This is an hours drive from the cabin and well worth the arduous climb up as the scenery is stunning. After walking for several hours we then picked up supplies from an excellent food store in Yosemite valley and drove the hour back to the cabin. You can imagine our bewilderment when we arrived back at 21.30hrs to find the lights on in our cabin and another family staying there!!?! The Perkins family were very apologetic and had been left by Garth to explain there had been a mix up with the reservations and in our absence Garth had gone into the cabin and relocated all our things to another cabin! Eventually Garth appeared on his bike, made it feel as if it was my fault for the booking mix up (we booked for three nights, but apparently we only booked this cabin for one night and two nights at an unlisted cabin) and then he left. We stumbled to our new cabin feeling extremely creeped out. When we explored the new cabin we found the last bed linens used pull off and left in a heap on top of the beds, a filthy bathroom and mouse droppings in the cutlery drawer. Garth had left a pile of folded sheets on the table. It was now gone 10pm and we were exhausted and hungry from our big walk, with no beds made up to sleep in and having to wash utensils in shampoo (there wasn't any washing up liquid) to be able to cook dinner!! The Perkins family decided not to stay in the 'double booked cabin' they were so freaked out by the whole thing and the poor condition of the cabin and linens. They got the last room in the Wawoma Hotel. I only wish I had had the energy to pack all our suitcases, two scared teenage girls into our car and find alternative accommodation too. We left the next morning. On the plus side the swim hole is cool and lovely to swim in. There are some great view and trails to walk just minutes from the cabin. Scenery...

  • A great place for a family cozy with everything you may need just come with the right state of mind and the place will do the test. I highly recommend Golly's place it's worth every penny

  • All descriptions and photos were accurate upon arrival. The additional directions specific to get to our building and room were helpful since we arrived at night. Those were emailed to us after the confirmation - luckily we printed them out because there was no service to retrieve the email on our phones once we got there. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, a blender, and lots of seasonings and spices. There was even a grill on the balcony outside! The pull out couch is much more comfortable than others I have slept on. Bathrooms were not stocked with any shampoo so be sure to bring your own. We ended up buying a bottle to share from a store in Yosemite. Other than that, everything was great and the weekend was an amazing experience.

  • Your loft was amazing! We enjoyed our stay so much, and recommended your loft to other travelers! Holly had everything we could possibly need, and we ended up not using most of the things we brought! The loft was very clean, and very spacious. It’s such a unique way to enjoy Yosemite. I can’t wait to stay here again on a future trip.

    Alison2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fantastic with some wonderful scenic views on the drive up. The apartment had everything you could need and the bbq was a nice addition after a long day of walking! Holly was flexible with the time for us dropping off groceries and the communication we received was great.

    Lisa2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to stay in Yosemite, ~25 minutes from Yosemite Village (as a bonus you get to drive past Tunnel View every time you go in the village). Had a great time, enough space for our family of 5. Kitchen is small but has everything you'd need including a selection of spices, cooking oil, coffee, sugar...the basics are there. 2 full bathrooms, plenty of clean towels. Laundry was the only downside, housekeeping uses the 2 washers and dryers to clean all the linens and towels from the rentals so they were usually occupied until dinnertime. Highly recommend!

    Sophie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was cozy and clean. It was up on a mountain so there was a lot of snow to play in. I wish there was better wifi access, but other than that, it was great.

    Hannah2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Shayla's place. The loft was clean and close to the valley floor. It had a frig, toaster, oven/range, gas grill and coffee maker. Coffee, filters and paper products were provided. Quiet hours along with the setting make this a peaceful place to stay. Was just what we were looking for.

    Kevin2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay close to Yosemite valley with a great view. 30 minutes to the valley, 20 minutes to the ski resort, and 30 minutes to Glacier point. The condo included enough beds, heating with gas fireplace, kitchen with basic utensils, deck with a grill and propane, basic hotel like items. I would recommend it to friends and family.

  • This is an absolutely amazing experience. I highly recommend this for anyone trying to get a couple day here. Truly exceptional - loved it!!!

  • What a wonderful place! After an exhausting day of hiking, how lovely it was to come into a warm place, fireplace ready and comfortable beds & couches! Also -- the view & starry night are pretty spectacular.

  • The Condo was reasonably described. It was on the backside of the bldg, which is a good thing since the front side is the parking and noisy side. 2nd floor was a good thing, not the first floor. If u r a foodie and like to cook decent meals, then bring whatever you need right down to the salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. Even bring paper towels because there is virtually nothing you will need other than the most basic of pots and pans. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located for Badger Pass Ski Area! However, even tho we booked this place on AirB&B, it really was operated by Yosemite Scenic Wonders...and we had purposefully avoided booking thru that entity because of negative reviews. That having been said, it was not a bad experience, just not disclosed.

This sunny, family-friendly home is inside Yosemite National Park. It is about 13 miles to the Valley, and only 7 miles away from Badger Pass ski area. Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your meals - we have a gas range, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. In addition, we have Dish TV. This quiet location offers a peaceful respite from the rest of the park visitors, and is a great place to relax.
  • It was the perfect location for staying in Yosemite. It was right in the center of everything. We only had to drive 30 minutes to get to either the Valley, Glacier Point or Wawona.

  • The wifi password is on the first page of the guestbook!! We did not find this out until 1 hour prior to departure. It wasn't included in the the welcome email and it's not posted anywhere visibly in the apartment. Aside from this, we spent 5 nights here and had an AMAZING experience. It's wonderfully located inside the park, no need to hassle with going through the gates each day. It's about a 30 min drive to the valley and gorgeous the entire way. And about 30 min drive in the opposite direction to the Wawona area, for some great hiking and no crowds. The apartment is perfectly appointed. Consistent hot water, good water pressure, excellent central heating system, warm bed, extra pillows and blankets. Bathroom comes with plenty of bath towels and enough toilet paper. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, utensils, dishes and cups. There is a gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, 2-slice toaster, coffee maker, and electric teakettle. We had everything we needed to make all our meals at home. Satellite TV was also very convenient and nice to watch after a long day hiking and running around outdoors. The neighborhood is gorgeous and quiet. There are tons of other vacation rental properties around, and it's fun to see all the other cabins. We only had neighbors upstairs for 2 nights and they were very nice when we met them. Not much noise insulation so we could hear them moving around, using the sink/flushing toilet, smell their cooking and hear muffled speaking. However, not really an issue for us since all was quiet during sleeping hours. Overall, we would jump at the chance to stay here again!

    Jen2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay while visiting Yosemite. It was just my daughter and me and there was plenty of room. It was nice to be inside the gate and get a jump on the crowds in the morning. Would recommend. Thanks

    Ted2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great, the place was clean, and super easy to get into. Also, there was cable and wifi -- both of which are quite rare and a great perk for the area. The second bed is a futon which is not super comfortable, but overall, we loved our stay!

    Ketki2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa provided little touches within the flat which ensured a warm welcome. She kept in touch with the essential details which allowed us to arrive independently and fulfil our stay in Yosemite during our trip to California.

    monique louisa2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place is greatly located within Yosemite park, it is only 30 mins to Glacier point and Yosemite Village. We really enjoyed staying there. In addition Lisa was very welcoming and helped us to accomodate an additional memeber of our family - thanks Lisa!

    Burkhardt2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Lisa's was perfect. About as close as you can get without staying in the valley and much better accommodations than the lodging in the valley. Avoid the traffic jams entering the park easily. Great communication and comfortable house in a beautifully area. Would definitely recommend.

    Amber2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a small unit which catered to our needs but didn't do much more. The location is good for exploring park. It does not have many of the basic kitchen appliances you would expect (microwave, kettle, toaster, etc) and the kitchen, dishes and bathroom could have been cleaner.

The Rose Cottage is a two-bedroom family cabin nestled between the Merced River and Chilnualna Falls. With a full kitchen, large deck, living room and wood stove, it is a cozy get away in the woods where hiking, swimming and star gazing abound.
The Rose Cottage has been in my family for three generations and is a place we hold dear. My grandmother used to live in the cabin half of the year and spend her days walking, sketching and making stained glass pieces inspired by the beauty around. We continue to visit the cabin often and so it has a personal feeling - this is not a generic cabin. There is no internet at the Rose Cottage - people often come here to unplug. There is a unique VHS and DVD collection and a small but sweet record collection. There are a few DIY elements to the cabin. The downstairs bedroom has a reading nook and private door to the deck. The second bedroom is a nearly enclosed loft space up a steep staircase. Super cozy and mostly private.
The cabin is located near the intersection of Chilnualna Creek and the South Fork Merced River. It is at the outer edges of the Wawona neighborhood and offers a lot of privacy along with a backdrop of the forest. There was a wildfire in Wawona in August of 2017 which came close to the cabin. If you visit you will witness what these natural and needed fires do in the wild. In coming years the forest will flourish anew. There are various hiking trails near the cabin and Yosemite Valley is about a 30-40 minute drive. You can pick up some quick groceries or treats at the nearby (1/2 mile distance) Pine Tree Market and visit the library as well.
  • Rose Cottage is a lovely place for a family to stay in Yosemite. We had a wonderful time staying there.

    Carol2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Rose Cottage is a well-appointed, idyllic retreat- quiet, away from most other homes. It is super cozy and the photos don't do it justice; it was more spacious than I expected. We loved being able to hike right from the cottage onto the mountains, and there are some stunning hikes nearby. Nicole is very responsive. We will come back here!

    Mélodie2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Close to waterfalls and Mariposa Grove, a good place to unwind and get close to nature. Would stay here again.

Yosemite West is a private residential community off highway 41, a quarter mile south of Glacier Point Road and 25 minutes south of the Yosemite Valley floor.
  • Lovely place that was nice and clean and very convenient for our trips into the heart of Yosemite. We had one little hiccup with the access code but Holly got back to us straight away.

    Claire2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's place was perfect. It was a wonderful location just a short drive (about 10 miles) from the heart of Yosemite Valley hiking and activities. The place was cozy and had everything we needed. There was even a propane grill there on the patio, which was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

    Brian2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect and in the ideal location for all so many of the spots we wanted to visit in Yosemite Valley. It was certainly worth staying inside the park and gave us much more time to explore each day. The studio was cosy, warm and the kitchen was really well equipped. We'd definitely go back!

    Laura2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was perfect for our two day trip to Yosemite, in fact if we do come back to Yosemite, we will book Holly's place again. It was exactly described and a great location for the various sites of the park.

    Vicki2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay here. We came on a snowshoeing trip and this was the perfect location to go to the Badger Pass area. It was comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well stocked , with coffee and tea and cooking oil and spices provided -- you're going to want to cook or eat in the Valley, there's nothing else nearby but trees and bears. There is wifi, but it's pretty slow, but that's not why you're here anyway. There's also a TV with Dish network and a DVD player with a small DVD library.

    Gene2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! Perfect location! Well equipped apartment with barbecue, dish washer, a selection of spices for cooking and everything you need. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

  • This was not only my first time at Yosemite National Park, but it was also my first time booking a rental through Air B&B. Easy Breezy! Holly was very thorough with all information way in advanced that made the day of traveling so much smoother! The moment we arrived, I knew I chose a gem! Everything about this condo was perfection! From location to amenities, it all exceeded my expectations. It was truly a home away from home in one of the most beautiful places on earth. We plan on coming back to Yosemite in the future and when we do I would love to come back to Yosemite West!

  • This dream of a cozy riverside cabin in the woods right inside Yosemite National Park was everything I could have asked for and more. It had all the amenities we needed. Complete kitchen appliances, pots and pans, condiments, dinnerware and utensils. Outdoor dining set and grill on the spacious deck. Our master bedroom on the main floor had its own terrace. The bed, pillows and linens were oh so clean and comfortable, and I loved being lulled to sleep by the running river just outside. The 2 bedrooms downstairs had their own huge deck spanning the length of the house. Our family of 4 adults and 2 children were so comfortable lounging in front of the wood-burning fireplace. John was so responsive and accommodating. He even left a great handbook on the table to explain where everything was, give the wifi (good signal!) password, and suggest enough activities for a 2wk visit. I will definitely book this house again the next time I visit Yosemite, and stay much longer. Thank you John for being an excellent host and for sharing your beautiful home with us.

  • Magical location and very cosy cabin. I recommend shopping for groceries before you get to Wawona as the only shop there is expensive and small.

    Daniel2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Johns cabin was absolutely worth every penny we paid. It was warm, cozy, and has the perfect living room/dining room area with an open kitchen and a breath taking view of the river right outside with windows all around. I cannot compliment this space enough! Its beautiful. We came with several families with a handful of toddlers. And the house met all of our needs. It was child friendly, and even had a kid gate we ended up using! John was very quick with all my messages and texts and very courteous throughout the reservation process and stay. I definitely hope to be staying here again in the future if we have another Yosemite trip. :)

    Madeline2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful cabin with multiple decks and amazing views of the Merced river. Trails within walking distance. John even provided a pack and play and baby gate for the stairs to keep our little one safe. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Cabin is about 40 minutes to Half Dome Village. Very quiet location and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future!

    Kara2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view out the windows, plenty of bed space, well written and easy to follow house manual. Loved the location both for proximity to Yosemite and the river running right below the house! All the decks are great hangout spots, and the hot tub very much appreciated. Will keep this in mind next time we go to Yosemite!

    Elaine2017-12-03T00:00:00Z

Our warm and inviting apartment located inside the park gates within 30 minutes of Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and the Mariposa Grove. Finished in 2010, Alpine Escape is an 840sf (78m2), one-bedroom apartment with the comforts of home. This apartment makes up the ground floor of our duplex home. You enter from the front of the home and we have a completely separate entrance to our floor in the back.
A cozy 840 square-foot one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, modern appliances, granite countertops and knotty alder cabinets and trim throughout. Our comfortable living room area features a fireplace, a 47" television (no reception but a wide selection of DVDs) and a daybed in the sleeping alcove. The daybed turns into two twin beds for sleeping. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a Saatva Luxury Firm mattress (basically a medium-firm mattress with a very thick pillow top) with built-in knotty alder cabinetry. The bathroom is entered through the hallway (i.e. not from the master bedroom) and is a standard bathroom with a tub/shower.
Yosemite West is at a sort of intersection that puts you about 30 minutes from the three major attractions in this section of the park: Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and the Mariposa Grove. No place puts you as close to all three, but we also have no services where we live, so it works best for people who plan to cook their own meals.
  • This is the best Airbnb house I have ever live in, we highly recommend living in Tom’s house. Host: Toms is the best host, he help us to plan our trip and he also provides us a lot of great travel tips before our arrivals House: Tom’s house is cleanest Airbnb house I have ever live in, and it has everything we need. Location: Great location, only take 30 minute to the tunnel view.

  • An easy and assured recommendation for anyone looking for a fantastic location, impeccable accommodations, and an amazing host. Tom's incredible and thoughtful instructions, recommendations, and hospitality were above and beyond all expectations and afforded us an absolutely stellar first trip to Yosemite. I'm thankful I looked beyond just the pictures of places to stay (his place is absolutely lovely and well appointed!) and found a location that included an asset that enhanced the experience through history and familiarity with the location. One of the reasons we look beyond the hotels is for that real "experience" wherever we go and Tom and his home deliver that in spades. 10 out of 10.

    Matthew2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's place is the perfect base from which to explore Yosemite. It was better than the photos, sparkling clean, with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Fantastic kitchen, great shower, super comfy bed, and the wifi was much better than we expected given the difficulties in the area. I would highly recommend staying at Tom's!

    Kate2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was an ideal experience and probably the best I've had on AirBnB. The place was great; accurate to the pictures and felt like home. As Tom advised, we went to the grocery store in Oakhurst and were able to utilize the full kitchen to cook some great meals, adding to the entire experience. The drive from Tom's unit to the key areas of the park was beautiful and scenic. We had a blast and will likely stay here again when we return. Thanks so much, Tom & Theresa!

    Ryan2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay! Tom was so informative and easy to communicate with. The apartment met our expectations and beyond. Great location too since it’s within the park. It definitely felt like a home away from home. I would definitely come back and would recommend others to stay here!

    ellen2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's warm welcome and hike-snowshoe advice were a wonderful addition to our trip.

    Rachel2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an unfortunate accident a few days before we were supposed to check-in, so we had to cancel the reservation. But Tom was really understanding and courteous, he stayed in touch with me to inform me that he is trying to get those dates re-booked, etc. He really went above and beyond what I expected. I am 100% sure he takes great care of his guests. I really hope I would have the opportunity to stay with him in the future!! Thanks again.

  • Georgeta communicated very well and the place was largely as expected. Great location for snowshoeing and enjoying the park. The kitchen is fully functional and we had a fine time cooking all our meals there. Nice views too. Futon could have been more comfortable to sit on but overall this was a clean, well kept place to stay.

    Lauren2016-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place and location, we chose the Red Door for our first trip to Yosemite celebrating our anniversary. We arrived after dark and we're ready to crash after a long drive; the Red Door was the perfect blend of cozy and welcoming for our road-weary bodies. By far our favorite feature was the deck, we wrapped ourselves up in blankets and sat out at night stargazing. The lodge was fully stocked and equipped with pretty much everything you would need, we never found ourselves needing something that wasn't provided. Not necessarily a negative, but you are sharing the building with upstair tenants so some of your experiences can be affected by them. Since the area is so quiet and secluded, things such as noise and light are pronounced. One of our stargazing nights was cut short due to all the light coming from the upstairs unit. To be fair, the owners of the Red Door provided info regarding noise and light, just heading a warning if you are looking for an isolated experience. Overall we couldn't have been much happier with our stay. We had been looking forward to visiting Yosemite for quite some time and the Red Door helped make it an even more memorable trip. There would be no hesitation to stay here again!

    Jesse2013-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Red Door apartment is great and exceeded my expectations! Georgeta is a fantastic host who is really great at answering all questions and giving tips about visiting Yosemite. There is not internet but that turned out to be a wonderful thing for me. I truly got to get away and enjoy the park. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was beautiful, well maintained, and Georgeta is such a pleasure! Will be coming back very soon!

    Rachel2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Georgeta's house for 2 nights over a weekend whilst visiting Yosemite and we absolutely loved it. Initially we thought it was quite expensive, but once researching we realised it was pricey to stay anywhere in Yosemite. Georgeta provided everything we needed in her home and felt very safe and comfortable in her house. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It was only about 20 minute drive from the centre of Yosemite National Park, which was great for us as we had a car. We loved staying here.

    Grace2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Georgeta's apartment. The location was wonderful, very close to Yosemite Valley and many great hikes. The apartment has a very open feeling and we enjoyed many homemade meals in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again if I was returning back to Yostemite!

    Stephanie2014-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was very convenient for our two-day trip to Yosemite. It is conveniently located near Badger Pass, the ski area within the Park. The apartment is minimal, and unfortunately the wood stove was out of order when we visited, but it is well-equipped and provides everything you need to self-cater except for the washer-dryer, which is off-limits. You can't really can't beat staying in Park, and the Red Door Apt. is an excellent value compared to the big hotels. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

  • The condo unit is clearly not owner occupied, and is one of a few managed units in the condo property. we stayed in a103 in july 2016. It is at the first floor and it overlooks the parking lot; it makes the unit less private and we could not enjoy the open balcony as people from the outside can clearly see us inside. and since the unit did not have an AC it was a bit stuffy at night. I could not open the balcony doors fully to let the cool air in as it is close to the parking lot. The laundry only has two washer and dryers... and the dryers were broken when we we there. We already know the weak wifi... Communication with Holly was super! Instant response. The caretaker Betty was nice and cordial. We needed paper towels, and a tank of gas and it was brought right away. It was just right for a family of three... What I love: 1.The linens were clean and smelled fresh 2. dishwasher - very convenient after a tiring hiking day, 3. updated kitchen with lots of sturdy pots and pans, 4. stocked kitchen, - although I had to buy sandwich bags, and storage bags, 5. DVD for the kids, puzzles and games for the kids. 6. super easy check in and check out.

  • We had a great stay at the Raven room. We went during the winter and our two wheel drive sedan with snow chain had no problem getting to the house (keep in mind that you are required to carry snow chain/snow tire during the winter). It was clear that the management regularly plowed snow. Wifi is slow but it definitely works. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the basic spices (and more!). The check in process was very easy and the room was clean and tidy. Would highly recommend!

  • Great little condo that had everything we needed - especially after long days of hiking. The location was really good too.

  • We had a really nice and confortable stay at Yosemite Park! The apartement was well equipped and had everything we needed. We also took the chance to watch the stars at night on the backporch which was really cool! Thanks for everything!

  • Very great location in the national park! It is a pity we do not buy some food to cook, since the host help the guests prepared everything for cooking, even the BBQ. It's very warm here, I love the house.

  • Apartment A103 was just like the pictures and description on the web site. It was clean and had lots of extra s like coffee/tea, oils and spices and games and DVDs. All up a great base for a couple to explore Yosemite from.

    Mike2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The proximity to the valley and all the "just like home" details make this the perfect place to stay for a visit to Yosemite. I took my own baking sheet to make cookies, but of course, there was one already there. Details like this make this place a real gem.

    Iran2016-11-27T00:00:00Z

Quality new home, clean, well-maintained, spacious. Full kitchen, nice bathrooms, comfortable King beds. Top two levels of three level duplex (access is at street level)
Royal Retreat is a new two-bedroom modern mountain home inside Yosemite Park gates. With two king-bedrooms, it is perfect for two couples. You can feel the care that went into each detail, from the rustic Shaker-style cabinets and doors to the handmade wooden staircase. One of the unique features is you do not climb stairs to access the front door. This is rare in our area; most rentals are on a hill, and you haul your bags up flights of stairs to enter. In addition, Royal Retreat's guest bedroom, which boasts a king-size bed, is on the first floor with a bathroom right across the hall, making it perfect for guests who are less mobile. In terms of amenities, Royal Retreat offers luxury upon luxury. The home is fully equipped - towels, linens, dishes, cookware. You only need to bring yourself, your food/drink, and a good time! Royal Retreat offers beautiful views of the forest from its rooms. The living room and loft are especially relaxing; both receive ample sunlight and showcase peaceful views of the trees surrounding the property. If you want to grill, the covered deck gives you the luxury of being outside, while still providing shelter from the sun or rain. We have another unit on site-Serenity Suite, directly below Royal Retreat. All of your space is separate and private including your parking area, entrance and deck. You will not need to interact with other guests, but consideration for those living below you is appreciated (please no plans for starting cooking every day at 3 am --yes, this happened-not sure how that qualifies as "vacation"!) We are sorry - there is no TV service or reliable cell phone service in this area or at our home. We do have internet with WiFi (see other section for internet limitations). We have a video library. We welcome children and all guests must be declared at booking. Guests 6 months and older count as children towards the guest count. 1 guest under 6 months can be added to the 4 person maximum, and at no charge, but must be declared to us at the time of booking. Rates quoted already include 11% tax.
Our neighborhood, Yosemite West is special. It sits high above the elevation of Yosemite Valley and provides a quiet and peaceful escape. When its hot below, or jam packed with tourists, I feel great relief when I arrive in Yosemite West. Birds are chirping and we regularly see wildlife in our neighborhood, including deer, coyote and bears. Its peaceful, yet inside the park gates and close to all the best spots to visit.
  • Great trip! Convenient location and very clean. The perfect escape for a long weekend in the park.

    Christine2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's place was fantastic. The house is spacious and airy set amongst the trees. The kitchen was well equipped - we had all the utensils and cookware needed to make dinner every night (and a grill!). The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were roomy, clean and had plenty of linen. We also managed to take advantage of the laundry room to wash our clothes after long hikes! Checking in and out was very easy. We only needed to contact Holly once and she was easy to reach by phone. We would definitely stay there again!

    Mike2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thus is a beautiful 2 bedroom with a fully stocked kitchen and everything you could possibly need. We love to cook and we're able to cook all of our meals in this house- they even had both a cuisine art coffee maker and a French press!! Clean and comfortable, right in the heart of Yosemite. A word of warning- driving in after dark made it a little hard to find, and definitely don't rely on the limited WiFi for anything. We 'ran out' of data after one day of email and (Hidden by Airbnb) . Holly was a great host and promptly answered all of my questions before our arrival. I would highly recommend staying here for any trip to Yosemite!

    Claire2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is excellent. It is of the highest quality, very comfortable. It is exactly as described. With a location away from Yosemite Valley, which can become very congested and after a long day of hiking it is the perfect place to relax. We spent most evenings grilling on the balcony enjoying the peace and quiet. Holly was an excellent host and there was a bunch of useful information provided both before the visit and in the accommodation. Can certainly recommend this for families visiting Yosemite.

  • We had a great stay at Royal Retreat. The house is very new, well furnished, and includes all the necessities to make it feel like a home away from home. Being located inside the park was a huge plus, and the drive down to Yosemite Valley took only about 20 - 30 minutes. We had a very enjoyable time luxuriating in front of the fireplace, grilling steaks on the outdoor grill, and watching movies and playing games in the upstairs lounge.

    Davis2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Royal Retreat is a wonderful place to stay. It is set up really well, with great shared space in the living & dining rooms plus the loft area. The bedrooms are well separated from the rest of the house, and quiet - really enjoyable! Holly & Jeff have every utensil, cookware, dish and glass stocked in the kitchen, easily found and clean & new. Great views off the back porch, and we look forward to coming back and enjoying the bbq and outdoor table in the summer! Close to the Valley, and aware from the crowds - perfect for a family, two couples, or a family group. Holly & Jeff also provided lots of suggestions, great directions, and a warm welcome. We felt at home. Beautifully done!

  • Shayla has an amazing location. The condo has not WiFi or phone signal but I loved being disconnected and not being bothered by work or anyone who might have tried to reach me. Their is a land line in case of emergencies. I am definitely using her condos next time I go to Yosemite.

Welcome to my Loft Condo, in Yosemite West, located in the gates of Yosemite Park. My unit sleeps 6.

Sleeps 6. This unit is 550 square feet, with a fully equipped kitchenette, that has a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. There is nearby trails you can explore. The common popular trails are located in Yosemite Valley, which is about 20 minutes.
  • Really nice apt. Worked out perfectly for me and my parents.

    Gar2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay for our family of 5. We would definitely stay here again. As others have mentioned: 1. wifi is slow and only available at the end of the hall and cellular service is limited. It was fine with us, as we wanted to unplug for the week, but our teens were not as thrilled. 2. Also, if coming in winter- BE PREPARED with chains! Check road conditions before you enter the park. We needed the chains as soon as we turned into Yosemite West off Hwy 41. Take it from us, slipping and sliding on ice the last mile of an 8 hour drive is not a fun way to arrive at the destination! 3. Shop ahead! We got our groceries in Oakhurst and so glad we did. There is a limited selection in the Wawona store near the south entrance and the family would not have been happy to wait until the next day to go down into the valley at the Village store for groceries. Overall, a great trip to Yosemite, and this was a good home base for our vacation.

This beautiful home is centrally located within Yosemite National Park. Glacier Point is 10 miles from the home, Yosemite Valley is 13 miles away and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is approx. 30 minutes away. In the winter, Badger Pass Ski Area is a short 10 miles away. The kitchen of this home is fully equipped for cooking your meals and the upstairs sunny deck has a gas grill for BBQ. This quiet location offers a peaceful respite from the rest of the park visitors.
  • The place is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is located close to all the tourist attractions and many great hikes.

  • Great place! Great location! Quite and exclusive. Overall experience is good. Except that it's hard to depose garbage as a visitor and it's somewhat hard to keep the house cool. My room was at 81 degree and I followed the instruction to open windows and doors and using fans to help circulate the air but not working very well and getting bugs inside my house. I like the place though.

Planning a romantic getaway to Yosemite? Lucky you! With stunning vistas and wild beauty, few places kindle romance like Yosemite. Of course, you'll want accommodations to match, and our two-person Serenity Suite offers what few places in Yosemite can—a luxury home that's private and peaceful. It's the perfect setting to create lasting memories together. Located at 5,500 feet, this area offers the closest lodging to the Badger Pass Ski and alpine adventure area. Located inside the park gate, in the Yosemite West neighborhood, Serenity Suite is approximately 20-30 minutes from popular attractions, including the Valley floor and its breathtaking waterfalls, Glacier Point, and Wawona with its golf course. It sure beats driving over two hours from one of the gateway cities! Serenity Suite is new and you can feel the care that went into every detail. As you can see in our pictures, the living area and bedroom are connected. In fact, the whole suite boasts an open floor plan and extra high ceilings that both make the space feel bigger than it is. Outside you'll find a huge covered deck with a barbecue. The home is fully equipped - towels, linens, dishes, cookware. You only need to bring yourself, your food/drink, and a good time! We are sorry - there is no TV service or reliable cell phone service in this area or at our home. We do have internet with WiFi (see other section for internet limitations). We have a video library. Serenity Suite is located below our other rental (Royal Retreat, for parties up to 4 people). All of your space is separate and private including your parking area, entrance and deck. The entrance to the suite is down an 18-step stairway which is extra wide to make it easy to get luggage in and out. PLEASE NOTE: because this is a lower unit, you will hear footfall and other sounds of occupancy coming from the unit above. Please expect this. We built the home with soundproofing and all our guests have been satisfied. This home comfortably sleeps two people. When we occasionally allow three people we provide an air mattress and/or portable crib. We welcome children but they must be booked as "children" if they are 6 months or older so that they can be charged, or let us know you are bringing one infant under 6 months old and it will be no charge. Rates listed already include the local 11% tax.

  • Serenity Suite was AMAZING! It was just as wonderful as the description led us to believe. Holly and Jeff provided everything and more that we needed for a romantic getaway...from a welcoming bottle of wine to necessities such as coffee filters and shampoo, it was so nice to not have to run to the store for anything! We will definitely be returning here in the future. We loved staying inside the park and appreciated the information Holly provided about grocery stores and things to do. This cozy home was clean, organized, and very inviting. My favorite features were the fireplace, relaxing leather couch, very comfy bed, and peaceful deck! You will not be disappointed with this find! Thanks for a wonderful getaway.

    Erin2015-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The suite is beautiful. Very clean, well appointed, comfortable, and conveniently located (20 - 40 minutes) to most of Yosemite's popular attractions. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. Price was very reasonable too! Few notes: - Internet is so slow it's almost unusable, but the hosts clearly stated that in their materials. It's out in the mountains so, at least there is some kind of internet, as slow as it might be. - There is no cellular signal, be sure to print out maps, it can be hard to find, particularly in the dark. - The kitchen is fully stocked and the bathroom is large and very nice. - The suite is very well built. With nice furnishings, fireplace, TV, etc... Check under the bed and couches for critters. We found a large 3" scorpion strolling across the carpet one evening while reading on the couch. It was easy enough to scoop up into a container and free outside. This place is out in the mountains, so this sort of thing is to be expected, however, we could not figure out how it got inside. I'd stay here again!

    AJ2014-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Holly and Jeff couldn't have made our stay more easy, or delightful! The suite is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need for a cozy weekend away (including a copy of The Land Before Time!!) Everything in the cabin is well-labelled and easy to find/use. There were lovely little treats like wine, coffee and popcorn to greet us when we arrived. The space itself is gorgeous — you can tell much care was taken in crafting the interior. I LOVED having the bed in the same room as the fireplace. The feng sui of the room is perfect. You can snuggle in bed, or cozy-up on the couch to watch movies, with the fire roaring below. I must say though that the real value of staying with Holly and Jeff was there incredible insights into the park, suggestions about activities and willingness to help us with everything from the weather forecast to driving instructions. Five stars (are there stars??) to Holly & Jeff! We wish we could have stayed forever.

    Kristen2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place with everything one would need while relaxing in Yosemite or coming back from a day full of activists. Also, Holly and Jeff were extremely responsive and happy to help. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Matthew2016-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • I am very glad that we booked this listing. The place is beautiful and the perfect size for a couple. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, which is convenient since there aren't as many restaurants/markets inside the park. It takes about 20 minutes or so to drive down to the Valley Floor (which is no problem), and there are some nice views on the way in. The quality of this listing puts anywhere you would stay on the valley floor to shame. Holly was very organized and welcoming, and everything was as described. We had a really lovely stay. We booked in the winter, and we are already considering returning in the spring or summer. If we do, we will definitely try to book this listing.

    Nathan2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an amazing place! This house literally has everything you need. You can tell Holly and Jeff put a lot of thought and love into this guest home. We were so cozy/comfortable in the home and pleased with all of the amenities. My husband and I couldn't believe that even some less common items were available in the kitchen like a BBQ sauce brush for making ribs which we did ;) and baking items. The only tip I would give is to make sure you closely follow Holly's driving instructions because a GPS will confuse you. I'm glad I printed her directions because they were very helpful.

    Jessika2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Serenity Suite. Jeff and Holly were very diligent hosts, from the suite's amenities to providing information about hikes and activities. They had print-outs of hikes to take with you, which was a nice touch. Holly contacted us to make sure we were settled in and had any questions, which made us feel more comfortable. As many reviewers noted, the Internet is not particularly fast, but it was sufficient for checking email and looking up hike information. I'd definitely recommend staying here versus the hotel options in Yosemite!

    Keith2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this unit. Holly and Jeff literally thought of everything you could need and made it super easy to find throughout the unit. It was perfectly clean and well stocked with all of the comforts of home. I thought I was organized, but you guys take it to the next level! The location was great-a close drive to Badger Pass for skiing and snowshoeing in the winter while not a far drive from all of the sights in the valley. My husband and I cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much for such a gorgeous listing!

The condo is sufficient for a few nights stay but is not luxurious.

We like to cook and were able to prepare a very nice dinner and enjoy it in the cozy bar-style kitchen area. Overall, we liked this place a lot, although we had to leave early because we were afraid of not being able to get out of the Park due to extreme weather conditions.

Yosemite's best place to call home is Wawona. Wawona's best neighborhood is here... Spectacular Glacier Point vistas and lush Yosemite Valley are only a half hour drive north. You can start all of the trails to Half Dome, Nevada Falls, and even hike down to the Valley from Glacier Point, or you can start from the Valley. Your choice! The Mariposa Grove of giant sequoia trees is a mere ten minute drive south. Yosemite National Park is Mother Nature’s most impressive creation in the majestic West. Wawona is the best-kept secret inside Yosemite, and historic Camp Chilnualna (pronounced “Chill New All Na”) in Yosemite has been Wawona’s beating heart for nearly a century. No matter what you love most about Yosemite—from its thunderous, cascading waterfalls, to epic granite monoliths and unparalleled wildlife—you will fall in love with Wawona because it has everything except hordes of tourists invading your precious experience at every turn. Have you ever: - Awoken to take a one-minute walk to the best swimming hole in the pristine Merced River? - Felt the exhilarating flow of a bona fide Yosemite waterfall washing over your entire body? - Hooked a hungry Yosemite trout and taken it home for the freshest grilled fish dinner ever? - Stared at a luminous sunset reflecting off epic Wawona Dome? - Lay down on an ancient granite boulder and watched the stars of the Zodiac drift across the horizon? These are a select few from an endless list of profound experiences happening any given day when you stay at Camp Chilnualna in Yosemite. Take advantage of our 80 years of experience hosting travelers in Wawona. For Families, the river swimming hole with warm pools in the summer is 150 feet away. The Pioneer Yosemite History Center has original buildings from the 1800s and a covered bridge that is easy to walk around. For Golfers, the Wawona golf course is a 9-hole course. For Hotel Bar/Restaurants, you can sit on the front porch of the classic Wawona Hotel, or go to the Valley to the Ahwahnee Hotel.
  • What a fantastic stay we had there. The hospitality of the host was just incomparable. He tried out his best ti provide anything he coukd for us. The scenery was perfect. Even though it was quite spooky at night because the lighting was a little bit dark at night, it still provided a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Its about an hour drive to the main attraction like Tunnel View, Yosemite Valley. All in all. Totally recommended for those looking for tranquility and peace.

    Arvin2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here is the way to do Yosemite right, even if your plan is to spend your days in Yosemite Valley. Margina and her daughters are beyond helpful.

    Rachel2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had an enjoyable stay it was clean, comfortable and beautiful location. Garth was always very friendly and helpful. If it wasn't for a schedule we would of loved to have stayed longer.

    Samuel2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Garth's place. Well enough equipped (with an offer to find anything else we needed) and a nice cosy place with comfy beds. Garth was really hospitable and welcoming and absolutely made our kids holiday when he bought some puppies over to say hello. The place is about 40 mins from the valley and is nice and quiet and safe with some additional nice walks nearby. The very close river is also a good spot. We'd stay here again.

    nick2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Garth has a wonderful space in Yosemite. We had quick weekend trip to hang out and explore a trail. Extremely reasonable, clean, and perfect for our needs. I would love to go back or use another property from Garth in the future. Highly recommend.

  • I and my family had a wonderful time in Yosemite as well as in the house. When we arrived, the temperature dropped down and got very cold. But Garth was there for us and fixed things up. The heater downstairs and upstairs turned on and we had a warm stay there. Hope to have one more chance to visit Yosemite and Garth's place.

    EUNHA2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Garth is very helpful, warm and hard working. The place was wonderful and the surrounding area was so beautiful. There are 2 near by swimming holes that over look the Wawona Dome. Some nights Garth lights a campfire. Yosemite Valley and Glacier point about 45 minutes away. This is a real oasis, book it, you won't be sorry! Very close to the sequoia forest too. Wonderful little historic town and great people in the neighborhood. Special place.

    Traci2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • While Garth was nice, the house did not meet our expectations. When we first arrived at 9:30pm (check-in was at 4pm), Garth was still in the house putting on sheets. It took another few hours for the final twin bed to appear. This was an inconvenience, but also worried me because I thought a cleaning crew was supposed to be doing all of those things. So did the house get cleaned before our stay? The house was as described, however, the location was not. The listing described the nearby hikes with waterfalls and a close watering hole to swim in. I assumed that since they were described in the listing, the drought hadn't affected them. However, the waterfalls, river, and swimming hole, all of which motivated us to stay there, were completely dry. It made for a disappointing trip. The listing description should be changed. The last night, I woke up at 6am to a partial flood in the bathroom. Something was wrong with the toilet and it kept running in the night. When I tried to get in contact with Garth, the number listed for Airbnb was incorrect.

The accommodations were cozy which was sorely needed after hiking all day. We were pleasantly surprised how close the condo was to many of the hiking trails. I would definitely come back.

  • A beautiful location in the heart of Yosemite. The condo has all of the basics that you need and as long as the roads are clear of snow, you are only about 45 minutes to Yosemite Village. It's a great location to be able to explore Yosemite over a couple of days.

  • The listing has the most well-equipped kitchen I ever stayed in. Besides the normal cultery and pans, there are lots of spices and seasonings that is excellent for preparing the bbq on the electric grill in the balcony. The place is also clean and tidy. The host is kind enough to collate a file of information that is very helpful for our trip to yosemite. Overall a lovely place to stay in!

  • Holly ' s condo was great for our needs. The 4 of us were quite comfortable and close to the Valley floor. I have been to Yosemite many times and had never known these condos even existed....too bad for me.

    Susan2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The unit that we had was clean and contained what we expected. We were able to check in as planned as the entry code worked fine. The linens were sufficient and clean. The location was excellent, about 20 minutes from the valley floor. Unfortunately, there were some issues including a non-working wifi (with very limited cellular capabilities), and a leak from the upstairs shower that forced us to use only the downstairs shower. There a lack of air conditioning within the park so our unit was very hot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but it could have been even better.

  • We had a great stay in this condo. The location was perfect to explore Glacier Point, Tunnel View and do the Panorama Trail. The condo is very well equiped (fridge, kitchen, 2 bathrooms) and had everything we needed. It was pretty warm during this time of the year, so luckily we were also provided with multiple fans. Although I haven't met her in person, Holly was very friendly and quick to reply. I originally entered a wrong date by accident when booking, but she was very understanding and found a solution. definetely recommended!

    Lanny2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a review for Alpenglow 2, not 3, as we had to switch our reservation. That said, most of it applies to 3 I'm sure. Super modern, felt exactly as the pictures showed. We were there during the last day or so of the warm weather, and made some use of the air conditioning, which worked great. I especially appreciated the a/c in the bedrooms, as I get warm at night. Opening the windows worked well too, and filled the air with the sound of crickets. Great grill on the deck, used it every night. Master bath is enormous, with a great shower and even better bathtub. Long dining table with bench seating was just fine. Lots of dishes and various kitchen equipment to be able to cook rather well. It was missing some pantry basics, so we left some behind. Beds were comfortable. The master has a king size, the other bedroom two doubles. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was so nice. I would bring your own soap however, as all they had was some peculiar "all in one" shampoo, conditioner, and body soap from TJs. Yosemite West is not part of YNP, it's important to note. It certainly feels like it is, but this is not the case. It's part of Mariposa County, and has been a private development since the 50s or 60s. Location-wise, I doubt you could be any closer to the valley and be staying outside the park. It was about a 17 minute drive to the valley, to Bridalveil Falls. Several amazing postcard views on the way down. We did tire of how super twisty the road was each way. Consider that if you get carsick easily. Otherwise it's super close to the turnoff for Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome, which is fantastic, my favorite part of the trip. Head to the peak of Sentinel Dome at sunset for an unforgettable view. Ultimately, this is a dream spot to stay at if visiting Yosemite! For the price of one room at the Ahwahnee, you get an entire house to yourself!

  • Upscale, modern home in the woods of Yosemite. Such a beautiful and clean home to stay with family. Had all the amenities you would need for a weekend away. we just loved the house - we didn't want to leave at the end of the weekend. • Apartment was exactly as per the photos. Relatively easy to park outside the apartment block and then up a short flight of stairs. Internet was just about in-range for my laptop but not my mobile. I enjoyed staying there - only slight downer was noise from next door.

  • The condo was welcoming very clean and hospitable. We enjoyed every minute we spent there. When we arrived it was snowing and cold and we were very tired from driving, so it was great to relax by the fire place and look out at the snow falling through the pines. Our visit to Yosemite was great and staying at the condo, away from the crowds made the vacation even better. The only thing that was wrong was that all the dryers were out of order. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

  • Holly's place is very homelike, with great accommodations in the kitchen with all kind of pots and utensils. Balcony has a great feel, very relaxing, surrounded by a lot of trees. Place is clean, though I did found a piece of dried nasal discharge on the corner of the queen sized comforter...which I had to remove myself before I can sleep.. and you will have to bring your own body wash/shampoo. other than that, everything else is great.

    Isabelle2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's place was great. Its in the park with easy access to the valley and glacier point (can get up there in ~ 30 minutes if you want to see sunrise or sunset). It was exactly as pictured and well appointed. Would recommend this place and stay here again!

  • Perfect location for exploring Yosemite NP. Not too far from the Glacier Point turn off. The condo is well equipped with all you will need. It is a very quiet location. We stopped in Merced to buy our groceries for the 3 nights we were there. Be aware that the bed is in a loft with steep stairs and it gets very hot up there at night (no air conditioning). There is an ice machine on the ground floor and a coin laundry on the same floor as the condo. We had a great stay!

  • My friends and I had a fantastic experience here. The kitchen was fully stocked with large pots, small pots, pans, cups, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, and knives. It even had a rice cooker and steamer. Although the Wifi wasn't that fast, there are better things to do than browse on the internet! There's a small clearing on the Southwest, past the other building, where my friends and I were able to sled, have snowball fights, and make snowmen. • Our party of 5 loved Osolodge. Very clean, luxurious and quiet. Ambiance can't be beat. We were able to spot an occasional deer or turkey out the window! Took us about 30 minutes to get to Yosemite Valley each day with great views along the way. Brian and very responsive and gave helpful tips. I would definitely stay here again!

  • We had an absolutely lovely stay at Brian's gorgeous home in West Yosemite. The pictures really don't do the place justice. Situated amongst towering Sequoias and only twenty minutes from the valley floor, the location is fantastic. The home had all the amenities needed to cook tasty dinners and keep the kids entertained. Brian was very helpful, responded quickly, and provided all the details that we needed for our stay. If you are planning a visit to Yosemite this is a great choice.

  • For a GREAT Yosemite experience, 'ya got'a do it in a terrific house, in the park, just a 30 minute drive to the valley floor. The pictures do not do this place justice. Three equally terrific bedrooms with three equally terrific baths. You'll love the kitchen / great room floor plan. the local wild life is breathtaking. This is the class-act Yosemite experience.

  • This house is simply amazing. Big open space downstairs which includes a long table for group meals, large couches and fireplace for hangin' out, a giant well-equipped spacious kitchen for cooking and more hangin' out, and a great deck looking out into the beautiful woods. The upstairs had another cluster of couches and tv (who watches TV in Yosemite tho?), with another bedroom full of beds. Brian, the host, was also super helpful in providing directions, tips for the area, and answering any questions we had. I would definitely go back again.

  • The house is very conveniently located so close to yosemite. It was clean, well appointed and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home and was a welcoming place to return to after a long day in the park. Georgetta provided a wealth of information and helpful tips and was very communicative throughout.

  • We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. Such a perfect spot from which to explore Yosemite- my parents and my husband and I couldn't have been happier. There was plenty of space to make lunches and dinner each day- we would recommend bringing food in with you. Georgeta was extremely thorough in providing directions and advice, and was highly responsive when we accidently entered the wrong lock details. Entirely our fault despite her very good instructions, but she was so quick to assist- we were very grateful! She also kindly recommended having lunch/dinner at Ahwhanee Lodge in the Park (most importantly to suggest we book) ahead and couldn't have given us better advice- we went at dusk, had a drink and then a delightful meal whilst there was a pianist playing then watched the stars come out- a truly memorable part of our trip! Sincere thanks for everything- we will certainly be back and recommend to others!

  • A lovely stay in Yosemite. Listing was 100% accurate and working with Georgeta was terrific. She made certain that the home fit our needs before finalizing our reservation and she was great at communication throughout the process.

  • Fantastic! More than sufficient space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Beds were comfortable, living area was large enough for the kids to self-play, and the deck outside was marvellous for star gazing and chilling. Amenities and pantry items were well stocked. Location was great. Being inside the park, we probably saved an hour at least each day on travel time. It's little wonder this place is so often booked up!

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Sunset house and will look to return to it the next time we plan an overnight visit to Yosemite. The house is exactly as described.

  • Incredible home with stunning views inside the park. The proximity of this home to the valley, glacier point, and other Yosemite hotspots are unbeatable. The home is beautifully furnished with a great kitchen for any cooks. The sunsets every night were definitely a highlight. We hope to visit again!

Welcome to Stoneoaks, an A-frame mountain home hand-built in the late 70s. There are 2,100 square feet on three levels. Stoneoaks has magnificent views to the west offering a daytime panorama of the Sierras and every evening an unforgettable sunset. There are plenty of windows and exterior decks that face west and south with space to enjoy the national forest surroundings. The interiors are all wood and reflect the warmth and rustic quality of a true Yosemite experience. Due to Stoneoaks unique mountain terrain, this property has 55 steps leading up into its main entrance from the Yosemite Park Way entrance. For most people, this is not a problem and is well worth the climb. Stoneoaks has a great room that takes full advantage of the soaring A-frame. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen, and a large dining table for gatherings. A wood burning stove and a sofa sleeper in the living room, (not recommended for adults). There are three bedrooms, one with a queen bed in the first bedroom, a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and 2 twin beds in the third bedroom. Stoneoaks will sleep up to 8 people. There are three bathrooms, a half bath on the lower level, a three-quarter bath on the main level and a full bath on the upper level. There is also a den as well. Stunning views, warm wood interiors, and the magic of the Yosemite forest – Stoneoaks has it all. There is 2 parking spots over summer and 1 over winter months.
  • Thank you so much. The house was gorgeous, wonderfully comfortable and quiet. It was super spacious, in such wonderful condition and the host left a folder of very useful information about walks in the area. Thank you!
