Just booked in Worcester

Studio 1 Lemon Tree is half of a large renovated shed. The mezzanine level is used for the shower / toilet en suite to the "bedroom". Under the mezzanine there is a separate toilet and space for another bed along with some cupboards, packing and working spaces. The double volume front of the studio is a lounge, with a dining table near the open plan kitchen counters. The entrance patio leads from the parking area, and includes a built in braai with outdoor seating.
This studio is an open plan unit with a mezzanine level where the main bedroom is created with an ensuite. The additional sleeping areas is underneath the mezzanine near the ground floor level spare toilet with wash basin. The Lounge area includes a TV and Open View decoder. The open plan kitchenette and dining area has a Fridge, Microwave, Kettle and Toaster. The patio in front, allows for outdoor living in a secluded space. The decor is simple and functional, but not very modern. Lemon Tree is one of 6 flats at 74 Stockenstrom Street. The property was originally a townhouse with a large backyard and a stable. Over the years, the property was developed into 6 flatlets, with covered parking in the yard.
The old town center of Worcester is characterized by Heritage buildings which are charming. Some buildings are in disrepair but there is a lot of village life as Worcester is a regional center for schools, shops, small industry (mainly associated with farming), and hospitals. There are several large organisations in the town that seek to benefit people with disabilities. The immediate neighbours are modern townhouse complexes, block of flats, heritage buildings that have been converted to offices, and some light industrial enterprises. Several churches are within easy walking distance. It is a short walk to the CBD where one finds take away shops, KwikSpar, Checkers / Shoprite, MacDonalds, and Worcester's homegrown coffee shops and deli's. 5 Minutes by car to the Mountain Mill Mall and 15 Minutes to the nearest cellars.
  • Great location, great accommodation, great Host. Everything was of the best standard. Tastefully decorated and great comfort. Loved the cats that felt so at home. Worth every cent. Centrally located.

  • Nicely decorated studio in a cute loft style with the bedroom and full bath upstairs and living room, kitchen, and half bath downstairs. The great shower and comfy bed provided some much needed relaxation after days in the desert. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful, and had great advice for things to do in the area. Definitely recommend!

We have refurbished this original farm cottage with recycled furniture & decor. Very cosy lounge with fire place, bedroom & ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) AND NOW with its very own fully-equipped KITCHEN. On 19 acre plot, adjacent to vineyards.
This cottage is one of 2 guest accommodations located on our lifestyle farm. The cottage is private and faces onto the vineyards next door. We are very pleased to announce that our most recent renovations are done and we now have a KITCHEN in our quaint little cottage. This fully equipped kitchen with a three-plate ovenette, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery & crockery makes this the perfect 'home-away-from-home' weekend getaway! We are only 6km from the Worcester Mall & 7 km from Worcester central with restaurants, etc.
The Worcester Valley is surrounded by mountains, and therefore has a 360 degree view of our beautiful Cape fold mountains. This valley also provides the ideal grape (Slanghoek Valley) & olive (Nuy Valley) farming conditions and therefore we have some of the best hidden olive & wine tasting routes. There are many beautiful drives, taking you across crystal clear cool streams and along mountain sides with the most picturesque views. The town also hosts many sporting events, as well as food & drink festivals. Be sure to visit the Worcester Tourism Association Facebook page or website.
  • We had a lovely stay! It was exactly what we were looking for. A quaint cottage, as described, is exactly what it is. Small and simple but with everything you need. Quite and peaceful surrounding but also close enough to Worcester if anything is needed. Spotless clean! We had a warm welcome and excellent response from the host.

  • Margie was very friendly and accommodating.

    Graeme2015-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Margie really is a very helpful and thoughtful host. The little labourer's cottage is really pretty inside and out. The braai pit comes with wood, charcoal and firelighters. The ice box comes full of ice and all sorts of goodies. Most of the time the only sound you hear is birdsong. The dogs are very friendly.

    Hendrik2016-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoined our stay at Margie very much. The place is plain and clean and the nature's lover will have a great time outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Margie is a great host and cared for us nicely. We'd come back everytime.

  • What an amazing little hide-away. We spent our 4th year anniversary at Winterfell and it was perfect. We were given a beautiful place to spend the long weekend and the privacy to enjoy time alone. I would definitely recommend Winterfell to any couple looking for a quick, romantic getaway just outside of Cape Town.

    Desmore2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing weekend away! From the moment we confirmed our booking Margie was in constant contact to make sure that we are readily prepared and even phoned us to notify us of a road block whilst we were on our way! We were warmly welcomed to the nicely secluded farm where we had the most amazing time off to rest and relax. The cute little house was both homey and romantic and offered us an experience to remember for years to come. We want to thank Margie and our new K9 friends for sharing their home with us and we will surely be back again!

This large room has it's own en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The room has decor theme about a famous poet Louis Leipoldt that was born in Worcester and a lovely view of the front garden and mountains.
Aan De Doorns is a historic Cape Dutch farm homestead offering warm hospitality in a tranquil “farm-living" setting. The farmstead was built around 1860, the rooms are spacious, decorated with unique themed interiors and en-suite bath rooms. We have family rooms in three and four bed configurations. The fully equipped communal guest kitchen and braai area allow for semi-self-catering requirements. Dinners, packed lunches and or laundry facilities are available upon request. Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the ambiance of true heritage hospitality with preserves and bread from the locally community. In summer the terrace under vine and pool area are ideal for relaxation and during winter we gather around the Welcome Dover to toast the day’s experiences in the Breede Valley.

Feel warm, welcome and considered in my quaint heritage home, right next to Hospitals in central Worcester. The modern design main bedroom with balcony overlooking tranquil garden and mountains, is a private cosy living space for hospital support, business or holiday
The loft bedroom in my shared home is a light and airy North facing space overlooking the a tranquil garden and Breede Valley Mountains across a quaint Victorian balcony. The room is spacious and open with high ceilings, big windows, kitchenette and work station. The bathroom (tub and WC) is right next door. The queen bed is amazingly comfortable and dressed with exquisite linen right next to a wonderful little fire place, good to burn all night. Down stairs is the main kitchen, lounge and patio shared with myself where you're invited to sit down, watch a movie, exchange stories, prepare meals to great music, sit in the sun, reading, napping in the hammock. And braai.
Russel street is in a beautiful historical area lined with Oak trees in the older part of town. The main asset of this location is the close proximity to the local hospitals, quietly set in an open space with views and sun and freedom. Shopping malls, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets are all 5 minutes drive away. Within a 15 minute drive is an abundance of beautiful wineries in every direction, hiking trails, mountain biking tracks abound. Close by towns, all rich in history and character like Ceres, Robertson, Rawsonville, McGregor, Montagu, Matjiesfontein all with their own distinct charm, are less than an hours drive away. Don't miss all the historic monumental mountain passes in this region dating back to the late 17th century when this valley was a pivotal landmark on the trade routes inland.
  • Jacob's home was exceeding our expectations - from the warm personal welcome (plus a welcoming table with freshly picked yellow roses from his own garden and a good local red wine - on the house) to his excellent recommendations for exploring Worcester and surrounds. The stunning mountain views from the main bedroom, the four poster bed (with a few good touches I must say) and the awesome shower room downstairs were just a few of our favourites. The linen and towels are fresh and clean, the house's decor appealing and artistic, and the kitchen well equipped. Loved hammocking around in his back garden between winery hopping and discovering the local gems pointed out by our host. We will definitely be back again, Japie! Will have to come see those snow capped mountains this winter from your bedroom patio.

  • Very friendly host.

    Barry2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had not been to the area before so had no expectations. However our host made several contacts to ensure we had easy access to the area, describing how to easily find the house and on arrival was waiting for us. A very warm and friendly welcome. The house is a very quaint Heritage home which offers a lovely big, sunny room with a fabulous comfortable four poster bed, plus there is an adjacent smaller room with a single bed. Clean, warm and ideal for a couple with a child or two/three adults. The decor is slightly Art Deco, simple furnishings but tasteful, and creative. A small kitchenette with a sink, kettle, tea, coffee and our host even generously left us a bottle of wine and some fruit. We had come to the area for a function so we mainly used the accommodation to sleep, but it is very central and a nice location if exploring the surrounding wine region. Jacob works in the nearby hospital, and is a delightful guy, who was very friendly and accommodating. He came to say goodbye the next morning and to ensure we had enjoyed our stay. A very nice, easy and uncomplicated experience. I would definitely stay there again if out in that area.

    Alison2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Did not have the chance to meet Jacob in the end, but he was nothing but friendly and responsive throughout our booking. His house is beautiful and centrally-located in Worcester!

Our home is close to beautiful wine farms, spectacular mountains with hiking trails and MTB routes. 2 hours away you can be in Cape Town, the Klein Karoo, Hermanus (for whale watching) or Gansbaai (for shark cage diving). You’ll love our home because of the cosiness, the friendliness and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our home is good for couples and solo adventurers who want to go off the beaten track and experience something a little more local, yet comfortable.
We have a 4 bedroom house with a large yard and a great pool (brilliant during the hot summer months). One (or two if necessary) of our bedrooms will be available to the guests while the rest of the house is shared with us. It's a very quiet and safe neighbourhood, close to all essential shopping should you need it.
We're surrounded by beautiful mountains and incredible wine farms. Our home offers an escape from the city life and the overly touristy areas while still being close enough to drive through for a day.

  • Absolute pleasure staying at the Van Niekerk's. They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome with their warm hospitality. The hosts gave us ample useful tips, for surrounding areas. The home is very neat and homely, also conveniently located near the highway and mall. 15 out of 10 rating from us.:-)

    Grahame2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We chose Worcester as a "stop over" location by chance and didn't expect much at all. Thanks to the welcoming, warm hearted and chatty spirit of Magdelle and her husband it has become one of our most memorable experiences with locals in South Africa. The house and the rooms are just as they appear in the pictures and together with its good location (only a few minutes from the highway, city center and shopping mall - where you can easily find something to eat even on a sunday evening) and its welcoming owners, it becomes a great home away from home.

Situated on the banks of the Witrivier in the riverine area of the Bainskloof Valley, half an hour away from Wellington and an hour and a half from Cape Town.
  • The house with all it's amenities, detail re. lighting, wifi, DSTV, air-cooling, fire place, dishwasher, outside intruder alarm etc. etc. really exceeded our expectations. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The place was really spacious and well equipped with towels, soap, toilet paper etc. The surrounding mountain views and nature are spectacular. I'll definitely recommend the place to my friends.

  • This is the perfect relaxing getaway for a big group (of 8 people). The house is situated on a river in the Bainskloof valley, and Larry has created his own private beach on the river which is absolutely divine. The house is well equipped, cool, clean, homely and so much more than we expected. The beds are so comfortable and we loved waking up to the sound of the birds and watching the gorgeous sunset over the mountains in the evening. There is also the loveliest couple (Lenos & Precious) who take care of the house and property and are there to help with anything you need, as well as the best Labrador named Keeno, who swims with you and protects the property from baboons. We really loved our stay and would go back again and again.

  • This is an absolutely perfect place to stay in Worcester. The cottage offers a perfect set up and is clean, comfortable & convenient! Very helpful hosts! Thanks so much!

  • The place was definitely better than the website showed. We especially enjoyed the design of the room with two floors which made it feel even bigger than it already is. Having small breakfast essentials around was also appreciated. The host is very friendly and approachable. Messages and phone calls were frequently answered. During the stay we were also given our privacy while the host was present and always willing to help out with anything. All in total: We had a great stay in Worcester. The place was part of it.

  • We absolutely loved our stay, the service far exceeds the price. We had no trouble following the directions Gisela sent us, we checked in with no fuss. We honestly felt very welcome and would definitely stay again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here and recommend booking this place if you are looking at it. Gordon was very helpful, welcoming and warm. The room was clean, well kept and the bed comfortable. We had our own shower and toilet and the place was nice and quiet with zero disturbances. We only stayed the one night but left with smiles on our faces.

Just 4 kms from the N1 highway, an hour from Cape Town our modern farmhouse sits on 180 hctrs of natural veld. Our home is bright and open, and a crystal plunge pool is happily shared with our guests. Views onto the Breede Valley are spectacular, and we have a number of safe, private hiking options into untouched natural veld within our property. We are only 8 kms from Worcester which has many shops, and other amenities, including a mall. Breakfast (either English or Continental) is included.
The room has strong WiFi, the bed is large, with fresh linen and a comfortable feather duvet. Fresh swimming and bath towels are provided. The room is airy and neat, a modern en suite with walk-in shower completes the picture. A ceiling fan makes all the difference in summer. Cool concrete floors lead onto a generous lounge which we welcome you to share with us, and our kitchen is fully available for self-catering options, we also have barbecue facilities by the pool. Attracted by our two dams, bird life on the farm includes the the Cape Eagle Owl, a mating pair of Jackal Buzzards and a large flocks of swallows. Our house sits within a wilderness camp where we currently have two (rather tame) Springboks.

Eensgevonden Vineyard Cottages - 3 Cape-style cottages for self-catering. Stunning views of vineyards & mountains. No TVs / radios - only sounds of owls at night, whilst sleeping in crisp cotton/feather duvets. 'Breakfast in a basket' available.
We have one of the best views in the world!! 360 degrees of mountains, vineyards and valleys. Great for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. The 3 guest cottages (two 2-bedroom, sleeping a couple and two singles and one 1-bedroom, sleeping a couple) are set in an indigenous garden, each with their own views and barbeque area.
We have stunning views across the Breede River Valley which is a huge wine producing area. There are at least 20 wine cellars within about a 45min from our farm and whilst not being on the big tourist route, all cellars offer free wine tasting and are happy to share their expertise. Being centrally located, you can make daily excusions to the many small towns close by - some growing wine grapes, table grapes, soft fruits, olives etc.
  • Lovely and comfortable cottage with an amazing view over the vineyards, perhaps the best stay of our holidays in western cape. Sally and Douglas were super helpful and enthusiastic. The rawsonville area itself is also very attractive, much less touristy than franschhoek/stellenbosch but very interesting (and better priced) wines.

  • Thank you so much, Sally. This was exactly what we needed. A lovely weekend away from the city - and so close by. Will pop in again if the city pressure needs to be escaped...

    Clinton2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • My Mother and I had a great time here! We were just passing through the Worcester/Rawsonville area on a Southern Africa adventure, but both wish we could have stayed another day or two at this location! It's so beautiful, charming and peaceful. We enjoyed swimming in the small rock spring. What a lovely place and you can tell the owners have taken great care of this property. We wish we could have met Sally, however she was in Scotland at the time of our arrival but her friend, Gary, who was taking care of the place was very helpful and friendly and gave us a lot of space to just be free here. We would definitely come back again!

    Heather2014-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sally is a great host. We had all the help we needed to enjoy our stay but still had all the privacy we wanted. The cottages are located in a beautiful setting with relaxing views over the valley. They are bright and sunny. On the 2nd day we swam in a private rock pool under a small waterfall which was really a special treat. The area is full of wine farms. All the ones we visited offered free tastings.

  • Fully independant charming house well furnished with an amazing view on the wineyard and the lake. Very friendly hostes sharing their activities and knowledge (if wished). Thank you for the advices regarding the wine tasting. All the best and plenty of nice visitors ; ). Even better than what we expected ! Wonderfull..

  • Sally and Douglas are wonderful hosts and Eensgevonden is a very special spot. We really enjoyed the walks on the farm and the rock pool was a lovely treat at the end of a hot summer's day. A perfect getaway only an hour out of Cape Town.

    Chris2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Why did we book this place only for 2 nights? We should have stayed longer. As Sally's place is one of these rare AirBnB gem's that make you smile already when driving up the sandy road to her farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and gracious mountains. A smile that lasts until you drive back the very same road. The cottage itself is spacious, well equipped and spotless. But you want to know what differentiates this place. It's unique selling proposition in a few words: 'stunning nature, a private pool created by nature just 'round the corner, charming hosts who are eager to help you out on just anything and loads of unique sightseeing opportunities within driving distance. Don't forget to hit Bainskloof if you want to indulge into South-Africa's most beautiful outdoor swimming, sunbathing and 'braai' place ! Eénsgevonden means "Once Found" 'voor altijd in je hart' means '"forever in your heart" .

  • We had an outstanding experience staying at Eensgezinden. We strongly recommend this location to anyone searching for a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the lovely countryside around Rawsonville. Sally was a superb host who greeted us upon arrival and gave us a full read on the accommodations and the area. The cottage was a tidy little unit situated several hundred feet behind the main home, with beautiful gardens providing privacy. It was complete with a perfect kitchen for self-catering, a full bathroom, a living room, a bedroom with two twin beds, and a master bedroom with a queen (or king sized—not my area of expertise) bed. There was no need for AC as the weather was sublime-- we just cracked the windows at night and enjoyed the fragrant air of the vineyards. As for how to spend your time when outside-- there is superb hiking just behind the cottage. Walk twenty feet and you're on your way up the mountain. In about ten minutes you'll reach a lovely swimming hole and beyond that you can keep climbing for a superb view of the valley. We visited a vineyard for a picnic lunch (on Sally's recommendation) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Rawsonville is nicely situated between Paarl and Worcester, so you can explore the area with ease, and buy anything you need within a half hour in Worcester, which has a large, modern mall. And what fun it is driving around this area-- great sights, perfect roads, little traffic. But a car is a necessity though, as the farm is several miles off the main road. Best of all though was how enjoyable this stay was for our almost two year old son. Sally was very patient with our little one, who has a propensity for grabbing dog tails and moving things about in the kitchen. She understood completely though, and made us feel comfortable as our little monster stormed about the property. It was nice to be in a place where he could run freely. Sally even took him to feed the ducks! We highly recommend a visit to this charming property and hope to be back soon!

  • Excellent house and great stay. There were 5 adults and 6 kids in our group (and 2 dogs) and the house was definitely large enough and the grounds were enclosed so we could let the dogs run. Kitchen well stocked bedrooms had air con/heaters. Good sound system and great playlists on the iPod! Thanks for a great time!

  • We had a wonderful stay at The Other House - all expectations were exceeded. We were a group of 16, with 2 smalls kids and there was splenty of space for everyone. The kids thoroughly enjoyed running around on the lawns and kayaking (which the house provides). The house was clean and neat and everything in working condition. The views are also spectacular! Mike, the host, was very proffessional and accomodating in his dealings. It is a wonderful family home and we will definitely be back!

    Claudia2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a wonderful 3 days staying at The Other House. The house is so well designed to allow for great social interactions. We had 8 kids ranging from 1 year to 9 years and they had a ball. The wonderfully large grassed garden allows for all kinds of sports activities and because the access road is so remote, cycles and runs are easy and safe from your doorstep. They have a rooster and a hen in the back yard which the kids enjoyed feeding but adults be prepared for your early morning wake up call! The vista is magnificent with the Breede River flowing in front of the house and the mountain range behind. The river is safely fenced from the house so presents no risk to small kids if gates are tied closed. All in all the house is spacious and comfortable. The house manager, Cliff is friendly and helpful and easily accessible. The owners are very responsive and accommodating with early check in etc. It was a fabulous family weekend. Thank you to Mike and Michaela.

    Jacqui2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house & setting is absolutely stunning! Perfect for a large family or group. The river frontage means we spent the days swimming, canoeing & lazing on the river bank - what a treat! We are already planning when we can make a return visit. Thanks Michael!

    Richard2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely incredible!

    Tarbi2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house is truly spectacular. Very spacious and kept us entertained for the entire weekend. Caught a couple of fish while lazing on the jetty. The host went the extra mile by buying a new potjie pot after I asked if there was one available at the house, something really unexpected and made us feel special. I can't explain how amazing this house is, you have to experience it for yourself. This was my second visit and I promise it won't be my last!

Die Damhuis: Would you like to make your stay as memorable as possible? Experience winefarm living and real South African hospitality and culture. The Damhuis is safe and great value for money. You will want to come back!
50- 70 squares + 20 squares main room Seperate bathroom Couch 8 seater bench Bar counter with 6 bar stools Indoor braai 3 beds Mini kitchen equipped for 5 people Secured outside area with outdoor braai and pool. When more than two people book, we unlock the door of the main room with a double bed. The Damhuis was originally an old reservois. Later a carport/garage. Today it is used as a guesthouse/selfcatering unit for guest's attending weddings, conferences ex. in the area.
It is very safe and guests can go for long walks on the farm and enjoy the 360 degree mountain views. The two Labradors would be thrilled to accompany you. Farming activities go on as usual. We were welcomed into Charmaine's home to meet her lovely family and gorgeous dogs. We were so comfortable with a beautiful fire and Charmaine even made us breakfast in the morning. We felt so welcome and at home and would thoroughly recommend stopping here.
