We are situated on the North coast of the Island, within 5 mins of both major car ferries, it is really easy to get to by car, taxi or by bike, and we have plenty of parking, and safe places to put your bikes. We are in a great location on the edge of the village of Wootton, where there are shops - mini Tesco, pharmacy, petrol, Majestic, etc ! It is just 3 mins drive to the High Street. We are also only about a 7 min drive down to East Cowes, where there is a Waitrose. And 4 mins from a lovely farmshop with cafe/restaurant. So you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere - in lovely rural peace and quiet - but you are really not far from civilisation at all ! And it's a great starting point for visiting places all over the Island , where there is a huge variety of things to do for all ages and preferences ! We can send you our special recommendations of 'Things To do' and great restaurants to try .
  • As interesting as it sounds, and everything in very good condition. Really comfortable bed, and a very cosy living room with the fire. We were well looked after. A very pleasant long weekend.

  • The Treehouse is a really magical place to stay- especially if you have kids. It was a cosy, comfortable and well appointed place - it had everything we needed and more. Fiona gave us a warm welcome and so much helpful information about the island. It was an unforgettable place to stay- especially having the gentle sway of the treehouse rock us to sleep each night.

  • My 5 friends and I had such a great stay at this amazing place. The beds were very comfy after chilling in the main space with a wood burner going and some glasses of red wine. An Outdoor bbq, table tennis and games means there is plenty to keep yourselves entertained in a peaceful part of the IOWight. Only a 5-10min drive from the ferry if you head to Fishbourne which was great. Fiona was a fab host! 5 stars!

  • Beautiful unique place to stay. Everything from the lovely lit walk through the woods to the swing underneath and the secret room made this place so wonderful. Highly recommend.

  • The treehouse is fantastic. A unique experience, for sure. It rocks you to sleep at night, which is just so lovely and there’s ping pong to be had, if you fancy it too. Mr 11 was absolutely delighted by all of it. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back for sure 😊 Thank you

Driftwood is a luxury, converted boathouse with stunning views of the creek from every room. It's in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You'll love the pool, kayaking up the creek, fishing from the pontoons, cosy log-burner and amazing sunsets. Driftwood is a beautiful converted boathouse on the water's edge, in the woodland grounds of our home. With creek views from every room, it's a great place to unwind and escape all year round. Relax and BBQ by the large pool, fish and crab from the private pontoons and slipways or use one of the kayaks to paddle up Wootton Creek (an area of outstanding natural beauty and haven for wildlife). In winter you can cosy up next to the huge log-burner and truly relax. Driftwood is ideal for walkers and cyclists as it's on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path, only 5 minutes walk from the Fishbourne Ferry; easy if you want to leave your car at home. A local bike hire company will arrange for hire bikes to be delivered to you as soon as you arrive so you'll be able to use the numerous cycle ways to explore the beautiful island scenery. On the ground floor there is a spacious open-plan dining, kitchen and living area with oak floors and a large log-burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large American fridge freezer and Dualit Nespresso coffee machine. There's also a shower and toilet, a utility room with washing machine and microwave, and a large entrance hall. Double doors open to the patio area next to the pool, where there is teak dining furniture and a Weber barbecue. Upstairs there is one double bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower room, and two additional double bedrooms with twin beds in each. The large family bathroom has his and hers sinks plus a luxurious roll-top bath where you can relax and enjoy the views over the creek. The very large south-facing swimming pool projects out into the creek and provides a panoramic view as you relax on the loungers, settee and chairs and enjoy the sunset. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people but can stretch to 7 if the downstairs day-bed is used. (There is an extra charge of £30 for extra linen and towels if the day bed is required). You have access to the whole house, the pool ( shared with our family), pontoons and slipways. You are also welcome to share the grounds with us. We don’t want you to go home without seeing the red squirrels, wood peckers and buzzards . We’ll pop down to see you when you arrive or whenever you want us, but won’t if you don’t! Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum of 2 dogs). Please let us know if you would like to bring a dog. We ask that they are kept downstairs and not left alone in the main living area. There is a tiled hallway where they can look out of the door at the view! There is an extra cleaning charge of £30 per dog. This will be requested as an extra charge through Airbnb. We live on a quiet leafy lane, just 5 minutes walk from the car ferry, the award-winning local pub and Fishbourne beach. Fishbourne has its own very friendly yacht club so if you’re a sailor or would like to be one, just let us know and we can organise a day’s sailing or some lessons. Walk 10 minutes along the coastal path and you’ll find Quarr Abbey with its beautiful church, ancient ruins, fantastic café, farm shop, nature trails and pigs. Fishbourne is centrally located and is a great base for exploring the whole Island. We are just 9 minutes drive from the Isle of Wight Festival site. Cowes with its famous August sailing week, is just 20 minutes away. By car: There are 2 parking spaces right next to the boathouse. By bicycle: If you bring your own, you can store it in our shed. We provide cycling maps and a pump! The Isle of Wight is a cyclists’ paradise with lots of fantastic cycle routes and a cycling festival ( in October). You can hire bikes from Two Elements in Cowes and they will deliver the bikes to you. By foot: You can walk from the ferry and don’t have to bring your car. We are right on the Isle of Wight coastal path so you can walk anywhere, very easily! We provide walking maps and lots of suggestions for the best places to go. There is a Walking Festival in September. By bus: The bus stop is 10 minutes walk away. Buses will take you all over the Isle of Wight. By air: The nearest airport is Southampton, but Bournemouth, Gatwick and Heathrow are all good as well. If you have your own small plane you can land on the Island at Bembridge and we will come and get you. By private boat: If you'd like to arrive by boat just let us know. We can arrange for you to be picked up in Portsmouth and transported by very fast rib directly to our pontoon (weather and tide dependant of course). If you have your own boat, you can moor it on our pontoon during your stay. Just contact us to find out more. Because of its beautiful location, our house has been used for photo shoots. Please get in contact if you would like to arrange a shoot. It's not far to go if you'd like to rent a rib, learn to drive one or have a fast rib ride. Our good friends and neighbours, Rebel Marine, are right next door and will arrange everything for you. If it's a nice day, we might use the pool too but it’s so big there’s plenty of room for all of us! The pool is heated to remove the chill; please don't expect it to be hot! The pool is open from May to end of September. It is the only pool on the island that is right on the water.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place was just as expected, the photos looked lovely so we were expecting it to be lovely and it was. Was actually a bit bigger than expected. Sparkling clean, we arrived early and Catherine was very accommodating to this. Amenities were great and the information provided for surrounding activities, places and food was really helpful. Would definitely return!!

  • Lovely little place to stay, clean, modern and set in a beautiful location, easy to walk to local beaches and great local pubs. We stayed in December and we were lucky with the weather, I should imagine it’s even better in the Summer. There was a slight problem with the heating on the first night but Catharine resolved this for us.

This is the original Spice Bus that fans will know and love from the movie Spice World but with an interior makeover. Working with some incredible designers, we’ve turned it into accommodation so you can stay the night and live out every fan’s wildest dreams. The bus has the added bonus of being situated in an stunning location overlooking the marina. There is a Bar, Restaurant and a small shop on site. You can reach us by land, air or sea!
The outside of the bus looks exactly as it did in the Spice World movie, with its iconic Union Jack-painted exterior. I’m a huge fan of the band and have tried to include as many little touches as possible inspired by the girls and their music, to make the inside just as iconic as the outside! Inside, guests will have the run of both floors, which have been lovingly renovated with little nods to each of the Spice Girls and some fairly bold interiors. The bus can sleep up to three people, with two sharing a double bed and one on a single day bed. Downstairs: The driver’s seat remains at the front of the bus – sadly no Meatloaf! Towards the back of the bus there’s a spacious seating area with a table and three Union Jack cinema-style chairs for relaxing in front of the TV or listening to Wannabe on repeat on the old school CD player. Upstairs: There is a double bed at the back of the bus, as well as a day bed, which can accommodate a third guest if needed. There is also a separate dressing room area, complete with rail and dressing table – perfect for Spice Girl-inspired makeovers. Please note, I have no official affiliation with the Spice Girls - I just want fellow fans to enjoy the Spice Bus as much as I have. I’m looking for guests who share my love of the Spice Girls, have a verified Airbnb profile and have great reviews! Please also identify your guests when requesting to book. A facilities block will be located a few steps from the bus for your private use. In the facilities block, there will be a toilet, sink and shower room, as well as toiletries and towels. Within this block there is also a kitchenette area with a sink, kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery. There is a mini fridge inside the bus. Note, there are no bathroom facilities on the bus itself. As the bus still has it’s original structure, there are a number of steps so unfortunately, it is not suited for all accessibility needs. Other things to note: ● There are no kitchen facilities or running water on the bus. There are shops and a restaurant within a minutes’ walk ● There is no WiFi on the bus, there is WiFi at the onsite bar/restaurant ● The bus will be located on Island Harbour Marina ● All guests must be 12 years or older ● The bus sleeps three people ● Height restrictions are 1.7 metres so watch your head! ● Towels will be provided in the separate facilities block ● The bus has electricity points Please also note there is no smoking on the bus or within the grounds and sadly no pets allowed!
The bus is located within a stunning marina based on the River Medina, just 2 miles from Newport town centre where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It is reachable on foot within approximately 25 minutes or there is a bus stop half a mile up the lane. You will also find Medina Leisure Centre and Theatre close by. The Isle of Wight is an incredible place to visit, for what's going on during your stay take a look at Visit Isle of Wight!
  • Such a fantastic and unique Spice Girls themed bus. Brilliant for my proposal to a Spice Girls superfan (he said yes 🥰). Would recommend this place without hesitation. There were so many little Spice Girls touches & the marina is lovely. We had an evening meal & breakfast at The Breeze restaurant and it was reasonably priced and very tasty (good wine too 🍷) . Thank you so much Suzanne

  • Wow what an adventure! We absolutely loved our stay on the spice bus. The bus itself has been done with such care and attention to the little things. The amenities block has everything you need and the snuggly robes are a great touch. All the 90s DVDs and CDs were such a fun touch we loved having a boogie on the bus and a dress up in the costumes. Name is wonderful and was super helpful before we booked and all the way right up to our arrival. The people on site were friendly and great. The location is fabulous with lots around to do, see and eat. I cannot recommend a stay on the bus more! All I can say is have fun and enjoy 🌟

    Mary2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • So amazing suprised my best friend with a trip here. So clean and perfect way for two 90s girls to spend the evening watching the spice world movie in the original spice bus !! Would deffinatly come back !

    Lauren2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful 2 nights on the Spice Bus. It really is even better in real life, has been finished to a really high standard and has endless Girl Power finishing touches! Located on a gorgeous Marina about 15-20 mins drive from East Cowes ferry terminal, it's in a really convenient yet peaceful location. We opted to get a 2 day bus ticket and bus everywhere, as there are regular buses across the IOW, but do note that the marina is up a country lane so that would def have been easier by taxi in hindsight! It's fully heated and air conditioned - we stayed in October and were warm and toasty. Special mention to The Breeze restaurant which is on site and almost next door to the bus. Lush gastro pub type food at really reasonable prices meant we went there for breakfast and had dinner one night too - def recommended! Note there isn't a shop on site, so worth popping to a supermarket on your way (although tea and coffee are kindly provided). We chose to spend an evening watching films in our PJs and the full day we had was spent at Osborne House, the stunning former residence of Victoria and Albert (a National Trust property) that's around 10 mins away and is also fantastic. So there's heaps to do on your doorstep, too. Just don't forget those pics for Instagram! Overall, we had a delightful break from hectic city life with a generous helping of nostalgia thrown in. I would recommend Suzanne's Spice Bus to everyone and hope to come back one day to explore the IOW further.

    Holly2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing, definitely recommend to 90’s and spice girls fans, everything has been thought of, spiceworld dvd is ready to watch, took my girlfriend as a surprise and she was just as amazed as me, 10000/10!! Harbour is lovely and the restaurant is delicious.

    Matty2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic time on the Spice Bus! Such a great experience and the 90s touches were amazing. Loved the magazines and DVDs. Thanks so much!

    Jenny2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in the spice bus! The mini fridge on board kept our wine cool, while we watched 90s DVDs. The fancy dress outfits were great fun & perfect for a cheeky boomerang!

    Samantha2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really happy with our stay on the Spice Bus. Everything was communicated perfectly to us and everything was exactly as described. We had such a great time and would recommend !

Pretty cabin tucked away in a quiet walled garden close to Titchfield
Magic Cottage is a pretty wooden cabin in the peaceful walled garden of our 16th Century stable block house. It can be made up with a very comfy super kingsize bed or twins, and we can add a child's mattress for an extra little one if needed. Please advise when booking if you would like twin beds. The bed will be made up as a super kingsize as standard. The cabin catches the morning sun, so it's lovely to open up the doors and let the light flood in, or sit outside on the decking and enjoy the sunshine. Magic Cottage has a seating area with sofa, coffee table and TV with Freeview. It has a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and sink in the kitchen area and a gas barbecue with side burner on the deck but no full cooking facilities. So you can keep some wine and nibbles cool in the fridge, put together a picnic, warm up a ready meal, or cook up a barbecue or full English for breakfast, but not rustle up a slap up meal. It also has an en suite shower room, and a terrace to enjoy the sun in the mornings. The cabin is built from recycled materials and everything we do follows an eco philosophy, right through to the shampoo, shower gel and soap. The essentials are there for when you arrive - tea, coffee, sugar, milk for a cuppa, and oil, salt and pepper for cooking. For chilly weather, there is a really efficient wood burning stove style electric heater in the cabin that takes no time to heat up the room. It makes it really cosy, and gives off a warm flickering glow to create a lovely atmosphere, especially with the lights down low. It even has a remote control so you can turn it on from your bed in the morning, so it is lovely and warm before you step from under the covers, and off after you climb in at night! In the winter we also put in a small oil filled electric radiator for background heat, which can be left on low all the time if it’s chilly. We don't provide breakfast, but there is a good little shop under 10 minutes' walk or two minutes' drive away open from 7am til 11pm. It's a Co-op with with fresh fruit and veg, meat, wine, beer and most things you could need for your stay. Even fresh croissants baked on-site every morning, which you can bring back warm from the oven. The gas bbq is easy to flash up and cook whatever you fancy for breakfast. There are Chineese and Indian takeaways that deliver, and fish and chip shops to eat on the deck or take to the beach. There are also a couple of good pubs nearby, and some excellent cafes (we are coffee feinds, and can point you in the right direction for the best coffee). You can also drive along the seafront to Gosport and catch the ferry to Portsmouth where you can visit the HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose at the Historic Naval Dockyard and museums, or visit Gunwharf Quays with restaurants, bars, cinemas, bowling and outlet shopping. Much better than driving into Portsmouth, and more of an 'adventure'. We also run a kitesurfing school, so this is the perfect place to come and stay for a kitesurfing break or course. We have a portacot available for little ones, or you can book our glamping tent next to Magic Cottage if you have more in your family/group. Our standard check in time is after 3pm and check out before 11am. Though we do try and be flexible if we can, so sometimes you may be able to arrive earlier or leave later, but please can you arrange with us in advance. Please note that we spend the UK winter in New Zealand (see our other listings!). Our neighbours manage Magic Cottage for us, so it is still available to the same high standard. However, it may mean that I can't answer questions or enquiries during the UK daytime, as I will be in NZ asleep! I will get back to you when I wake up (UK evening time). So please don't think I am ignoring you, or that Magic Cottage is unavailable. Of course, you can still book in the normal way over airbnb, and I will accept your booking when I come online. I hope you can come and stay! Zoe
  • Magic Cottage is a lovely little place to stay. Even with the temperature at zero outside. Very cosy. I can imagine in the summer, it comes alive even more.

    Heather2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a simple getaway. Great space, very cosy! Quick drive to sea side and great local food, highly recommend the pub opposite Breezes cafe.

  • I had a great time at Magic Cottage. Zoe was very communicative, gave me a warm welcome on arrival, and some good tips on what to do in the area. The space is really nicely done, and you have a lovely garden area to BBQ, sit outside and relax. Overall a great experience with no problems!

    Giles2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just what the doctor ordered. A lovely, tranquil weekend away in nature. Zoe and Berny were great hosts and communication was excellent right from the start. Beautiful little cottage with everything one would need for a getaway. Our batteries were very much recharged and we didn’t want to leave. The highlights for us were: the incredibly comfortable king size bed, the outside hammock and the lovely village feel to the area. Donny’s tearoom do delicious lunches! We were very sad to leave but had a really lovely time. We would highly recommend giving the ‘Magic Cottage’ a go. Thank you again! :)

  • This cottage is an lovely little place to get away from everyday life. It’s in such a pretty garden and the flowers/plants around the cottage makes it all so much more magical. Would highly recommend it

Remote cosy, self catering, stable conversion cottage surrounded by large garden, fields, woodland and plenty of wildlife. The small double bed room is suited to a couple. 5 minutes to the Fishbourne and 15 minutes to East Cowes car ferries.
Kennels Cottage was once the workers cottage for the hunting dogs for a larger estate. The stable conversion is attached to our main house. The property has an acre of garden, a large field in front with Firestone Copse beyond and another copse behind the house. The area is home to red squirrels, badgers, foxes and many species of bird. The main space is a combined kitchen living room, the bathroom has a shower cubicle and toilet and the cosy bedroom has a double bed. All linen and towels provided. There is Smart TV in the living room with Netflix, iplayer, etc. In the kitchen area there is a fridge freezer, microwave, conventional oven and all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery are provided. Wifi throughout. There are electric heaters, if you wish to use the woodburner logs can be purchased nearby or bring your own. The space is suited to a single person or a couple. Well behaved dogs are welcome all year. In the winter months - small/medium sized dogs only. Anything else you may need just let us know.
A private road leads down to the cottage which is attached to our main house, in its own grounds.
  • Such a great little place, we'll situated to get to most places. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

  • The place is really nice and quiet. Wenna is really warm. She helped us a lot. If we go to Isle of Wight again,we will definitely choose to stay here again.

  • The place of James is really a peaceful oasis: if you're looking for a secluded place, far from... everything, don't look further! It's a cottage with all the amenities you might need for a short stay: from the kitchen to the bathroom to the internet connection, everything worked perfectly. The only downside for us was the electric heating: we're used to central gas heating back home and with the humidity outside it was a bit unpleasant, especially at night when the heaters have to come off. We wanted to use logs but unfortunately the one we purchased from the local co.op were too damp to use. Other than that, it was really a perfect stay, we really needed exactly a place like that at this time of our life! The hospitality of Wenna, James' mother, was unique and her reactivity was truly appreciated. We had a wonderful time exploring Isle of Wight, which truly is a hidden gem! All in all, a great experience!

  • If you are looking for a cosy quiet remote place to relax then look no further. The cottage is immaculately clean. It’s small but comfortable. We visited in November but it would be excellent to visit in the Spring or summer. Winner is very friendly and accommodating if you have any needs. We will go back in Spring/Summertime.

  • We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Kennel Cottage in the IOW. The weather wasn’t great during our short stay but this didn’t matter. The cottage was so cosy and warm and full of surprises and nice touches. The log burner was an added bonus especially as we stayed in November. The setting was amazing! Only minutes from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne and yet really peaceful and quiet with views out over a loverly garden and farmland and woods beyond. We even saw a couple of Red squirrels as we arrived. James was a great host and his Mum who meet us at the property was really helpful too. We will definitely be back.

  • The place is beautiful, so clean and tidy! James and Wenna were so helpful and friendly. Hoping to come back and stay again and would recommend to anyone

  • The property is very close to the port but still remote. The property is small but has all the facilities you would want and my wife and I had a lovely short stay.

  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I cannot rate this property and the host Elizabeth enough. From the minute we arrived Elizabeth was extremely pleasant and so helpful. We found the property to be beautifully presented in THE most stunning location. The attention to detail was so pleasing and the property was set out for ultimate luxury and comfort. We felt like we were having a real treat the whole time we were there! The breakfast was scrumptious and the effort that had been put in to everything was really so evident. I am not often surprised by things at my age, but really - this left me speechless for a mo here and there! We had mixed weather but the as the property was so pleasant it really did not matter we were happy in our bedroom and in the fabulous breakfast room.

  • A wonderful place to stay in IoW, with lots of thoughtful touches. Elizabeth is one of the nicest hosts I have stayed with. My wife and I had a superb time at her place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to couples and individual travellers. Expect nice breakfasts, very comfy rooms and A* hospitality.

  • Excellent host in a great location, perfect base for exploring anywhere in the Island. Very clean accommodation and an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, cereals and pastries.

  • We stayed with Elizabeth for three nights over the August bank holiday weekend and it was just perfect. From the minute we arrived we were greeted in such a friendly way - to the moment we sadly had to leave it was faultless. Elizabeth has a very beautiful home with views you can look at for hours on end. Beds comfy, rooms are lovely and light and the peace and quiet is just what you need when you escape a big city. The hospitality is more than 5 stars! Breakfast has so much choice, with fresh rolls, pastries, eggs, fruit - we were certainly fuelled up and ready for exploring the island. The weekend was very hot so the added bonus of endless cold bottled water available to guests in an accessible fridge was handy. Elizabeth’s house has many thoughtful touches like this for guests which makes the stay even better. Thank you to Elizabeth (and Daisy the friendly dog) for making our special weekend just what we wanted!

  • This was the second time I have been to stay with Ian and Dawnie, first with a friend and then this time I went with my boyfriend for a long weekend away. Ian and Dawnie are two of the loveliest, funniest, kindest, most easy going and interesting people I have ever met, and I really feel like I've made two friends having been to stay with them. Honestly, one of the things I was looking forward to the most for this stay was just seeing them again! They are incredible hosts and really can't do enough for you. The house is beautiful (really stunningly decorated by Dawnie) and the bedroom is somehow both homely and wonderfully luxurious at the same time. Everywhere is incredibly clean, and the bathroom has everything you need in it. And the breakfasts, OH GOD THE BREAKFASTS. They really are something special, especially Dawnie's homemade cinnamon toast, and her jams. I also love the croissants option because of the massive bowl of fresh berries and yoghurt you get, which for me is the perfect breakfast. It is really incredible value for what you're paying. Ian and Dawnie also know everything there is to know about the island and are full of tips, suggestions, and fun stories if you have any questions. Anytime I am going to go and visit the Island, I will be staying with Ian and Dawnie because staying with them is like seeing old friends who are just so happy to see you. I am really grateful to both of them for being so caring, and can't wait to see them again later in the year.

  • A very friendly warm, quiet family home. Perfect hosts, a very warm and comfortable room with tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room , plus internet TV with Netfix, the room was very well appointed and impeccably clean with a great bathroom with piping hot water and plenty of towels, face flannels and shower gel and shampoo. If you are in or near Newport on the I O W I would thoroughly recommend Ian and Dawni's lovely home to you. Not forgetting a fantastic breakfast menu, one of these breakfast will keep you going all day long. Many thanks again Ian & Dawnie.

  • Our first and definitely not our last Air bnb experience couldn’t be faulted. Ian and Dawnie made us feel so welcome and left no question unanswered so we knew exactly what to expect being newbies. A very welcoming room complete with everything we could need and a lovely breakfast in the morning was exactly what we wanted. The homemade banana jam was delicious - I might have to ask for the recipe!! Such friendly and amenable hosts deserving of their 5 stars. Thanks Ian and Dawnie.

  • We had a wonderful weekend in the Nest! It was incredibly cosy and had everything we could need. Fiona and Will were wonderful hosts and had an excellent guide to the island. We booked ebikes that we’re delivered to the site and were great fun! I would recommend sturdy shoes as in wet weather the paddock can get a bit muddy, but we were there during storm Ciara. The treehouse though is very sturdy and weathered the storm excellently!

  • Fiona is a lovely host. The directions provided were spot on and the treehouse is beautiful with a great view. The interior is modern and bespoke and works so well with the space. We enjoyed our time staying in the treehouse 😊 Would definitely recommend this.

  • The nest is a beautiful treehouse - really new and modern inside. Great powerful shower and the kitchen is fully equipped for all your self catering needs. We loved sitting on the terrace with a bottle of wine watching the sunset over the corn fields. Location is close to the ferry which was handy for an evening crossing but you can’t really walk anywhere easily so we drove everywhere and brought back what we needed for the evenings!

  • Accommodation and facilities with lots of character. Peace and quiet, a relaxing environment, clean and spacious surroundings. A great spot to explore the Isle of Wight from. Lovely hosts on hand if you need them and to leave Fernhill Meadow feeling very chilled and relaxed and wanting to return.

  • This was a wonderful first experience in a yurt. Lots of thoughtful helpful little extras to make the stay special. The yurt was very clean as were the kitchen and showers. Sue showed us around the site, the little caravan with fresh eggs jams and chutney for sale together with those bits n pieces you just may have forgotten. Many thanks to all the team. Elwen and Adrian

  • We spent 4 lovely nights in Sarah's yurt. When we turned up it was absolutely bucketing down with rain but we were greeted with a wheelbarrow, umbrellas and even a spare pair of wellies in my size to help us get across the field with our luggage and stay relatively dry. The woodburner was set with wood all ready for our arrival and the inside of the yurt was soon cosy and warm. The little touches and quirkiness of the buildings make you feel like you are living in a fairytale. The site itself is also beautiful and we loved being visited by Finn the wolfhound. We had a really lovely time and to top it off, our 6 month old baby actually slept through the night, every night!! We would move in permanently if we could!

    Helen2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little place. Everyone so friendly and helpful. If you want to get away from everyday life and retreat to a gorgeous island as well, this is the place. Nothing was too much for the hosts. Quiet peaceful and relaxing, a beautiful place to stay.

  • From the first contact with Sarah I just knew that I had made the right decision. Sarah collected us from the ferry and transported us into a dream. Tranquil and idyllic place we called home for 6 days. It was refreshing to stay in an environment that was natural and clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Vegan alternatives offered were "out of this world" and "the best breakfast ever" as quoted by my son. The yurt was comfortable and had everything you could imagine that you would need. I actually enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Everything was so simple and uncomplicated. Sarah and her team were totally amazing. We were very sad to leave. We will be definitely returning. Thank you.

    Natalie2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt was magical. I took my two young sons with me and we had the best holiday ever. The boys didn’t stop smiling and laughing and it felt like a complete home from home. Charles and Sarah were awesome hosts from start to finish. Very relaxed and informal. We loved the little touches of comfort and quirkiness with the eco loos and the provisions hut. The weather was perfect so we were blessed. We will be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰

It is a dreamlike place with all the warmth of a family giving you a big hug. Magic!

  • We had such a wonderful time visiting Fernhill Meadow. It is a beautiful place, we stayed in the log cabin in the orchard and it was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was well equipped and there were so many thoughtful touches, with a hamper waiting for us when we arrived with cheese, wine, homemade chutney and marshmallows for the fire! The setting was beautiful - the orchard was full of apples and pears, there was a little pond and our daughter was fascinated by the peacocks wandering around. Jim and Sue were very welcoming and happy to help with any questions we had. We would very much recommend a trip to Fernhill Meadow.

    Charlotte2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Jim was great at the point of booking and just before arrival. We met at the agreed spot - so I could be directed down the right lane. The cabin was in a lovely secluded spot - it certainly allowed me time to sit quietly and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. The two dogs were brilliant and not forgetting the rest of the menagerie. Sue and Jim had left a wonderful welcome hamper in the cabin and it certainly came in handy. Would recommend people to stay here if you want peace and quiet.

  • Turn off the main road, down a hill and around the corner and you are submerged in the woods. A red cabin in front with bamboo fencing around it. We parked up and accessed the property via the key safe. We had 3 babies with us (1,1,2 years old). There is a pull out partition wall which was great, babies went to bed at 7pm and we could close them off and have some much needed adult time. It’s in a very safe and quiet location. There was a caravan behind us and one in front, apart from the washing machine in the adjoining kitchen, we heard nothing from them! Very clean and safe for the kiddies to crawl and run around in. Was a very lovely idyllic cabin and we would love to return one day :)

The room is in a house based in Newport on the Isle of Wight close to a shop. Space is small but has what you need. It is highly suitable for short stay guests such as cyclists, walkers and explorers. It`s designed for guests who want a roof over their heads with some comfort. It has on-suit facilities and is self-contained...There is a bunk bed so two people can stay, but it is really only suitable for one..... Please contact me before booking if you are not sure about the place.
My self contained bolt hole is suitable for a solo traveller: e.g Cyclist, Ramblers, Island Explorers, Sportsperson and guests who are not looking for the Ritz, but a small place to sleep, cook and watch TV and not cost too much. The room is small. It`s not luxurious, but comfortable. It`s suitable for a younger person.
The house and room are located in a built up neighbourhood. There is a narrow driveway and garden where you can sit at a picnic bench. The washing machine and dryer are outside with pay meter. Takes 20p coins (used to take pound coins, but won`t accept the new £1 coin ) The room has an electric meter that takes pound coins. even the new £1 coin.
  • David is a kind person. I am a young single female traveler and he was concerned about my safety which most Airbnb hosts do not care at all. They just want your money. He knew my situation and went above and beyond as any decent human being should do but most don’t. So kudos to him for that. The price is low bcz it is like staying in a very bare minimum necessities place.. So don’t expect a palace. I personally am one who prefers living minimalist.

  • Excellent value for money with local amenities, shop and very good chip shop two minutes walk. Shops, cinema, food outlets 5-10 minutes away plus bus station. Washing machine & drier in a lean to. Don't expect the Hilton, this is a great place to stay in a very quiet road. I will be staying again at some point.

  • Very nice owner and perfect place and very cheap. You have all you need! I’ll go there again next time I am in Newport for sure.

  • This is my second stay at David’s place and it won’t be my last. I love it so much. I’m a cyclist and it’s perfect. The weather was a bit cooler so I had the heater on, it was not expensive to run. The facilities are great, you can cook modestly. The co-op is just down the road as is the fish and chip shop. The location is quiet and safe and well lit. There is secure bike storage in the shed. Also a covered area, which is perfect if it’s raining to load and unload the bike. The room is very comfortable and large with everything you could could possibly need for a holiday. David is s great host, why he isn’t a superhost I really don’t know. He is very quick to respond and is a great problem solver. You feel he is invested in you having a great holiday. It’s such good value for money. Having en suite facilities is such a bonus. It’s a great budget holiday option. It means I can visit the fabulous Isle of Wight more frequently, for which I am very grateful to David. Thanks

A rare opportunity to rent this truly unique waterside property! Rena Haus is a floating home on Wootton Creek, a tidal creek off the Solent, home to much sealife including beautiful swans that swim by on a daily basis as well as breathtaking views on your doorstep. The property comprises Rena Haus on the water and Rena Sommerhaus, a self contained cabin set back from the water with it's own bathroom and facilities. A true tranquil retreat and only 10 minutes from the Fishbourne ferry terminal
**Renovations finishing March 2019** Rena Haus has a beautiful large living room and open plan full kitchen with a large adjoining balcony out over the water to admire the far reaching views of the creek. The bathroom has a large shower, the bedroom has a double bed and storage. There is wifi throughout. Rena Sommerhaus has 2 single beds, storage and it's own bathroom with shower. It also has kitchen facilities and a large seating deck set back from the creek overlooking Rena Haus and the stunning views of the creek
The creek gives a level of tranquility that is rarely matched and the views are stunning. Set within an area of outstanding natural beauty midway between Ryde's golden sandy beach and Newport. The local pub The Sloop is lively and very reasonably priced, serving both food and drinks. New local Italian eaterie Cibo draws the crowds. Numerous sandy beaches are nearby and for walkers the trails are endless. A Tesco local is only 10 minute walk, as is Woodside bay beach with views of Portsmouth. The Fishbone ferry terminal is only a 5 minute drive. If you fancy local attractions such as The Steam Railway, Wax Museum, Monkey and Butterfly World to name but a few are all minutes drive away.
  • Beautiful, quirky and memory making place to stay. The host David was lovely with nothing ever too much trouble. Both accommodations are spotlessly clean. Near to all amenities. We stayed during ‘Storm Dennis’ and survived to tell the tale so I wouldn’t fear the fact that you are actually staying on the river whatsoever. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Beautiful place, excellent location.

    Jacki2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very stylish and comfortable property. It was nice to have the seperate Sommerhaus with its own bathroom. Loved the touch of isle of wight shortbread, tea and coffee.

  • Prompt, friendly and kind responses. Great taste and style. The houseboat is clearly loved and enjoyed and is in an area as yet undiscovered on the Isle of Wight. We’ve stayed in about 20 places all over the island and this is definately a favorite. Firestone Copse is a great walk and picnic in a wood on Kite Hill nearby. Cibo nearby does a fabulous risotto. Briddlesford Farm does the best brunches! Farm shop is also excellent. We want a Rena Haus! Congrats to David and Michael for creating such a treasure.

  • A fantastic place to stay. I stayed with my two young daughters (10 and 12) and they loved it! It is so calm and set in beautiful surroundings. I will be coming back when I’m can enjoy light evenings gazing over the river.

    Paul2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful and unique houseboat. It's very stylish and we had a lovely time sheltering from the rain with the wood-burning stove and the view of the creek. There are no photos of the bathrooms, but these are both very nice. It's very easy to relax completely while staying at David's place! The location is a little less isolated than we thought from the photos, but this does mean there is a nice restaurant and shops nearby.

    Gennie2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house on the water, quiet and in the middle of nature.

    Maja2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely stay here. There were extensive notes with every detail we could have needed re: our stay and the local area. The estuary is beautiful, especially with a cuppa as the sun comes up! Very clean, easy check in, better than the photos. Thank you David

Whilst staying at the house you have full use of our communal areas, we take well behaved dogs, but are an adult only establishment. This room overlooks our wooded front garden. Lisle Court is the ideal base for cycling, walking, sailing, golfing or simply exploring the history and beautiful scenery the Isle of Wight has to offer. You can even fish from our private jetty!
  • Eileen’s place is fantastic. If you love Victorian style, this is your place. The room and the bathroom is huge. It’s very clean and complete with tea and some shortbread. Very comfortable. Eileen is very accommodating of what you need. The breakfast is also great, lots of choices and with a great view of the water. The place and the breakfast is so worth the money. I would stay again at her place when I’m back in the island.

  • To write this it to let you into a secret! Shhhh what an amazing historic property with a thoughtful host who cannot do enough. Everyone becomes friends of the host because thats how you are made to feel. A pleasure from when we arrived. If like us you were hesitant then dong be the secret is worth every penny x

    Garry2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location, beautiful old house in lovely grounds that slope down to the banks of the creek. Thoughtful touches from Eileen making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. I only wish I had more time here to relax. Would definitly stay again and recommend.

  • The feeling and air of a manor house, the history, creaking floors and bits of history everywhere are what drew us here. The hospitality of being welcomed into such a neat house and with such warmth was really appreciated. the views over the inlets and smell of wilderness, with birds singling reminded me of my childhood excursions to remote family islands. If one is lucky to be there on a sunny day the beach house brings the best of the sea. While no matter when to accept the full English Breakfast will leave you well filled and delighted. Best of England. Best of Isle of Wight.

  • Amazing space and amazing hospitality. Sue and Charles are both lovely hosts who are sure to make your stay special. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again!

    Katherine2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend staying here. The space is beautiful and well thought out, and it feels very secluded. The bed was comfy and the log burner made the studio feel incredibly cosy, which is a real bonus on chilly winter nights. The studio is just the right size for a couple and is well located. We had everything we needed for three nights - there are no cooking facilities but this isn't really needed as Charles's legendary breakfasts will keep you going all day (definitely try the blueberry pancakes). The bathroom was perfectly sized with an intriguing shower and the furniture throughout really suited the placed - lots of wood and cosy seating. Charles was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely welcoming. Same can be said for the animals - we met two lovely dogs and a very friendly cat, not to mention the peacocks. We would love to return when the weather is better to make the most of the porch and hammock, and to explore the fields a bit more - it was wonderful to watch the birds feeding whilst eating breakfast but I'm still keen to see an elusive red squirrel! We had a car with us but it is easy enough to walk into the village up the lane; if you are looking for a cosy, secluded base to curl up in the winter evenings (or to relax in the summer) then this is the perfect place for you.

    Lydia2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A massive thank you to Charles and Doreen for looking after us and making us feel welcome. Got to say it, Charles makes a wicked vegan breakfast! Especially his pancakes! It was the little touched that made us feel so cozy, just like Doreen lighting a fire for us getting back from a day out. Thanks again guys and you will be seeing us soon. Kyle, Robyn and Zephyr

    Kyle2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for money! Hidden gem in isle of wight, close enough to town (10 min walking distance) but far enough to enjoy your own tranquility. My boyfriend and I were delighted with the variety of animals at Sarah's place roaming about freely and the dogs were absolutely friendly. The warm breakfast was amazingly delicious and portions were big. Got cosy with the fireplace too! Will definitely return.

    Cheyanne2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is an idyllic location, with such lovely, personal service - and lots of little touches that make your stay stand out - from the blueberry pancakes at breakfast, to the BBQ and fire pit preloaded with charcoal and wood. A perfect stay - will definitely be coming back!

    Will2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rough and ready in the VERY LOVELIEST way. Well worth the difficult and slightly stressful bumpy access road down to it... It’s a real oasis! The fabulous breakfast omelettes, and fresh homegrown apple juice, delivered to your door at a time of your choosing were an out of this world start to the day! Everything is thought of here... from hammock, to bbq with all tools (and marshmallows), fire-pit, comfy chairs, a delicious and generous welcome hamper which even catered for my silly food allergies with complete ease! (A rare moment when I didn’t feel awkward.) Nothing is too much trouble for Sue, Sarah and the team. It’s in great location on the island - Wooton Bridge is very pretty, the steam railway is on your door step and you really are central to everything you’d like to discover. It really is a beautiful quirky place - away from it all. Fin the wolfhound, Daisy the lab, the cat (who wouldn’t tell me it’s name), Mr and Mrs Moorhen, the chickens and George and Fanny the pheasants were all fabulous and gentle visitors throughout our stay. The attention to detail in this charming, mostly hand built, studio is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our comfy stay here and were made to feel so very welcome. A perfect escape!

    Wendy2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • At the end of a private bumpy track is an oasis of peace and calm. The cabin is charming, cozy and comfortable. We found many thoughtful added touches from a tasty welcome pack, coffee pods and machine to tea lights and candles; fleecy dressing gowns in the bathroom and fire pit and hammock in the garden. The delightful dogs are well mannered and friendly, as is Badger the cat... all an integral part of the management team! Breakfasts were superb with a wide choice and generous proportions bought right to the door. We had a lovely stay, a perfect panacea to busy town life on the mainland.

    Ann2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • A cute location that really allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely little cottage and very rustic vibe with a modern twist. Amazing food and great for cosy winter breaks or hot summer trips away. Just a heads up, it’s a bit of a rough ride getting down the drive away but well worth it as you drive in.

Debbie has provided everything you need and the layout makes the most of the snug space. It’s so quiet and peaceful in Havenstreet, we slept well and very much enjoyed the fresh bread, butter, eggs, cheese and milk provided from the local dairy. We would love to book The Snug again later in the year when the railway is open.

Welcome to the Hayloft - a fantastic studio flat above the main home’s house with private access via a spiral staircase and private balcony with far reaching views over the sea and downs - just right for relaxing in the evening as the sun goes down. Perfect for short breaks and longer stays - close to the ferries and hovercraft - with private parking and access to buses just down the road. The flat is on the edge of the village and surrounded by farmland. The owners garden has regular visitors from the local ducks and moorhens. The area also has several buzzards and if you’re lucky at night you’ll see bats and barn owl. The garden is patrolled by our elderly boxer, Freckles, who loves to meet and greet our visitors and we have also started keeping bees at the bottom of our garden - a safe distance from us humans. The village has enough shops to keep you well stocked and there are several farm shops worth visiting within 5 miles. In addition there are several walks that you can take from the flat which will take you to the nearby beach and past the pub on the way home. If there is anything else you want to know please ask - we look forward to welcoming you soon Sarah and Mark
  • The Hayloft is a comfortable, quiet, cozy and very clean space. Nice sized kitchenette for any self-catering needs. Such a serene view from the balcony. Great location on the island and in excellent proximity to the Wight link, as well. Sarah was also fantastic - communicative (helped guide me to the property, as my sat nav was misbehaving), hospitable and kind. Simply a nice property and lovely hostess. Would highly recommend.

  • Jane' place is definitely great, a nice atmosphere when you live in the room, wide and comfortable. washing and kettle available inside. Back garden view though the large window, friendly and lovely dogs within the house. 3 mins foot from Newport bus station. And walk to the Castle is even acceptable in sunny day.

  • The place is tidy and clean. It's also near the bus station one Newton some that you could go anywhere you want. I spent a lovely week there. Jane is the best host I have ever met in Airbnb:) Thank you for all the thing!

    Tracy2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! Janes place is defiantly air b&b gem in the IOW! I stayed for work and was only there in the evenings but this place is clean, tidy and warm. Although this is only a single bedroom the bed and room itself is bright and clean. Jane has 2 lovely sweet dogs who loves attention! They do not harm and all they want is their back scratched ! There is not much negative you could say on Jane’s place. She is a warm and friendly person and is more than willing to have a chat with you. Sadly there is no lock on the bedroom door but that was not a problem for me. Although I do like keeping my stuff safe and due to my nature of work I often had to keep my work related items in my car which is not ideal either. Apart from that this place has no flaws and I would defiantly stay again ! Thanks Jane for a welcoming and cozy stay! I will be back in the near future!

  • This little hut is amazing if you are looking for a reasonably priced stay. It has absolutely everything you could ask for. Ten minutes' walk from the town centre, this little treasure is tucked away at the back of Dan and Sarah's house. It is a Shepherd's Hut, so you do only have limited space which suited me fine, as I Iike to lie on the bed and watch TV. Right next door is another hut which is your own private bathroom. Huge bath but no shower. I suggest bringing a pair of flip flops to save you taking your boots or shoes on and off each time you go to the loo. There were 2 lovely plush bath robes as well. Huge choice of teas and coffees with your own fridge, which the hosts had thoughtfully stocked up with milk and pots of jam; there was also a selection of cereal and even Lindt chocolate balls 🤗 You are also in invited to use their kitchen for cooking and eating your meals. I would liken this hut to glamping and for the price you will not find a better accommodation anywhere. Thank you Dan and Sarah

    Irene2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is perfectly priced, if you're looking for an adventurous and different stay on a small budget this is great! It is a kitted summer house/ Shed in the garden with a nice seporate bathroom 10 feet away. Heating is good and definitely required in the winter. Don't expect 5 star accommodation for the price. You get exactly what you pay for and I would definitely stay again if I needed somewhere on the island. Thank you

  • The house suited us (two couples) perfectly - small but well designed and laid out and the enclosed decking area was great for our dogs. It has every amenity required and a really welcoming arrival pack. It is slightly set back from the main lawn and the creek but looks towards the water and is peaceful. It’s also only a ten minute walk or so to a nearby quiet beach. Overall a great experience and many thanks to our hosts.

  • Neat and clean room located in a modern terraced house in a quiet residential complex. James is a courteous and considerate host. The only drawback is that the kitchen is not habitable, so you have to eat in the room where there are no table or chairs. We stayed only 2 days and we adapted. For longer stays this could be a problem. Thank you James for your hospitality!

Set in a tranquil woodland away from it all. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and step outside to the lush green of the forest. You are surrounded by nature and often see red squirrels, jays and buzzards. My place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and small families with children. This escape would suit nature lovers, anyone wanting to get away from the busyness of city life and people looking for that little slice of serenity. Within only a 5 minute walk to the ferry & public transport.
The bell tent is set on a large platform on the edge of the woodland so you're beneath the trees with mottled sunlight streaming through, it is particularly beautiful. Within your area of the woodland you have a camp fire set up, water connection and picnic table right outside your tent. We now have two lovely green camping chairs for you to use so you can chill out by the fire and in the wonderful woodland setting. There is electricity for lighting and your own devices as well as oil filled radiators to keep you cosy at night. This bell tent has flexible sleeping arrangements with one double and two thin single mattresses. We will make up the double bed and leave bedding for two singles in the wooden box should you need it. We will provide all your bedding but no towels. There is a camping utility pod within a short walk from your bell tent. A small kitchen consisting of a fridge, induction hob, kettle, toaster, small baby belling oven, kitchen utensils, plates and bowl, cups and mugs, a shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. This is a self- catering holiday but we will provide your first toilet roll, please make sure you bring toilets rolls with you x we also provide eco hand soap. This is for your own use it is not a shared facility. We only use eco-friendly cleaning products at The Woodland Retreat. Whilst you are here you might like to book some family or 1:1 yoga sessions, bushcraft sessions or some creative nature art classes. Please email us prior to your visit to request a price list and to arrange a time for the classes.

We had a pod which included our kitchen area (although we cooked on a campfire) and the bathroom facilities were spotless! We also had a little pod next to our tent which enabled us to keep food in the fridge and make tea etc. Lovely stay, will look to do again in the future!

  • Great place. Comfy bed, good facilities, and cute fire! We had a great time sitting around the fire in the evening roasting marshmallows 😊

  • Wonderful.

    Di2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the hut was fantastic, we loved how conveniently located it was, the quick walk down to the beach, the hospitality provided by Dudley and also really appreciated the little fence around the hub so we could let our Frenchie run around the garden without having to be worried he'd wander off. Everything was as described in the listing and we would definitely recommend this place!

    Sabrina2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space in a wonderful location. Worth it for the sunrise view alone.

    Tom2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rosemary; she was perfect! We stayed for two nights but wanted to stay the week! The hut was very clean and beautifully decorated with some nice touches. The sunrise view was stunning and good location, not too far from ferry. Dudley was a great host too :)

Welcome to my lovely cottage! With views of the Medina and just a 13 minute walk away from the RedJet and 10 minutes away from the bars and restaurants of Cowes, the cottage makes for a perfect getaway to the Isle of Wight. It’s in close proximity to some fantastic walks and perfect for anyone wishing to explore the Island.
A beautiful character property with exposed brick-work, a newly installed logburner and original features with modern touches.
  • Great little stay in Cowes!! Lovely house, just perfect for a weekend away! Charlie was also great and so helpful! I would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting Cowes!

    Abbi2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Charlie’s place. It was a perfect base for us and our newborn, we particularly loved the wood burning stove and being able to play a board game or read a book. Excellent communication and if we’re ever in Cowes again we’ll be sure to come back. Thank you!

    Rose2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fabulous cottage! 10 mins walk to Cowes. The house itself is delightful and very warm. Lit the fire every evening. Super comfy bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen, really enjoyed my stay. Will be back soon.

  • What a great place! Perfect location and allot bigger than the pictures show. Would recommend anyone to stay.

    Toby2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Second stay was even better than the first. Perfect cozy home away from home.

    Todd2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Charlie's beautiful little house, we use Air bnb regualrly and this is the nicest place we have stayed yet. Check in it was nice and easy and the place was spotless. The fire in the living room was a lovely treat and helped to create a warm cosy atmosphere in the evenings. As we drove, we where able to explore the whole island with ease from this point, you can drive virtually anywhere on the island in 25 minutes. There was a coop and an aldi really close by for any quick shopping. It was a lovely house and we were sad to leave and we would highly recommend this place as a base for visiting the Isle of Wight. 😊

  • Great little cottage in a fantastic location for exploring Cowes. Communication was excellent and checkin was simple. Highly recommended.

    Jayne2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location and such a cozy little house. Host included firewood for the log burner that's the centerpiece of the living room. Convenient walk to Cowes, lovely views of the shipping yard and plenty of parking on the road by the house for the car. Charlie was a great host giving us some tips of where to go and was quick to respond to any queries we had. The place is well stocked but there is no microwave or freezer, no problem for us but worth noting! Lots of little touches like board games and books to make sure the stay was good regardless of the weather Thanks again for the lovely stay

  • Fiona's place by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed. The setting of the cabin is so dreamy, you are literally in the woods isolated from the rest of the world. The wood stove in the common cabin is amazing, not to mention the hot tub outside. It wasn't clear for us but, although it's worth it, hot tub hire is optional with extra charge. We spent the New Year's there, and couldn't be happier with our choice.

  • We had a really amazing stay, the cabins are set in a private wooded area away from the main house. Everything was provided for from toiletries to cooking essentials. The beds were so comfy and the showers very powerful which was surprising. The hosts were very helpful and we would love to come back in the summer when the weather is better.

  • We had an amazing time at the shepherd huts, Fiona was on hand to help with any questions we had, the hut gives great seclusion and is great for couples or families who want something magical. Looking forward to visiting again!

  • A perfect, quiet location for a chilled out time.

    Richard2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The huts are tucked away from the busy roads of the Island. The fit out works really well and we had plenty of room for a family of four.

  • Our stay at the Isle of Wight was made an enjoyable and memorable one thanks to the Hideaway. Fiona and her husband were both very accommodating, welcoming and attentive which we all appreciated, and staying in the Hideaway was a great, unique experience. The place was cosy, comfortable and homely, the hot tub was a lovely touch and having Tess (their dog) greet us each day was an added bonus! We appreciated the provided welcome pack detailing places around the island we could explore too. All in all, it was a great place to stay and we thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
