“During the warm seasons, this outdoor theater features some of the best concerts all under the stars. Bring a picnic and a blanket and prepare to relax and enjoy.”

“Did you know there are 95 Acres of beautiful ornamental gardens hidden in the middle of northern Virginia? Meadowlark is an amazing place to spend a beautiful day walking trails, perusing gardens, or relaxing by the lakes in the sun. Between Thanksgiving and New Years they also play host to the Winter Walk of Lights, a fun holiday activity. Admission to the gardens is $6.”

“This brewery is a 15-minute drive to Vienna, but if craft brews are your thang, go here. Really good beer and a fun vibe (it’s located in an industrial park as all good hole-in-the-wall breweries are). I took a beer snob friend here and he approved. ”

“A favorite of bikers, joggers, and those who just want to stroll, the W&OD stretches for 45 miles from Shirlington to Purcellville, VA. It runs right through Vienna and is a great way to get out to the quieter side of Virginia.”

“I’m cheating a bit because Clarity is in Vienna, but I promise you it’s worth the 10-min drive! (Okay, 20 minutes in traffic). I like the sharp casual vibe, which reminds me of wine country in California. So does the food; I’d call it modern American. I’ve never had a bad meal here. In fact, I was treated to the best lamb (served three ways) of my life at Clarity! The food is always fresh, unique, and flavorful. Great wine list too. I’d recommend a dish, but the menu is constantly changing — because that’s what *real* chefs do! Which reminds me... Chef Jon is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth guys! Ask for a seat at the chef bar (overlooks the open kitchen), so you can watch Jon do his magic and share a quip or two. “Fare” warning: Clarity is not a big place and it gets BUSY. ”

“Hands down our favorite place to see a show in the DMV! Every year Wolftrap’s concert line-up brings some really stellar performances to our backyard. The best part? You can bring in your own food and alcohol. See who’s in town during your stay, grab some lawn tickets, pack a picnic and enjoy!”
