Vacation Rentals in Windsor

Just booked in Windsor

Enjoy peace, quiet, and beautiful views in Cazadero. For each rental, $50 will be donated to Raphael House, a San Francisco organization whose goal is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence.
This little a-frame cabin would make a productive retreat for an artist, writer, or musician, or a romantic getaway. Surrounded by redwoods on a private road in Cazadero, my cabin is an hour and forty-five minutes north of San Francisco: a roughly ten-minute drive to the beautiful Sonoma Coast, and just fifteen minutes to Guerneville and wine country in the other direction. Head west and you’ll hit the charming town of Duncans Mills; go east to Monte Rio, and catch a movie at the historic Rio Theater. The full bed sleeps one or two comfortably. No TV or microwave; yes record player, wood-burning stove, equipped kitchen, and lots of cookbooks. The backyard is sunny and sloping with a view. There’s a table and bench on the deck for al fresco dining. And there’s speedy wireless Internet, too.
  • I had been eyeing this property for some time and ended up staying for my birthday during a dreamy rainy weekend. The A frame is beautifully decorated and secluded. The bed was one of the most cozy spaces I've ever slept in. We listened to records from her killer collection all weekend, ate in Guernville and Timber Cove up the coast, explored nearby Jenner where the Russian River meets the Ocean. We were absolutely in love with this spacious cabin and hope to return again! Thanks so much for making this available to others to enjoy through Airbnb.

  • This place is amazing! It's so calm and peaceful, and is the perfect place to get away for a little bit. Rachel has a wonderful selection of books and records--there's something for everybody! It's close to a couple of small towns with some good restaurants and a coffee shop. While it's great to just stay in and enjoy the quiet space, there is also plenty to do with just a short drive. We went to the redwood forest and the beach, both of which were accessible and gorgeous. Rachel was a great host and provided us with excellent information about the house and area. I can't recommend this place enough!

    Brian2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • WE LOVED RACHEL'S PLACE! My girlfriend and I didn't want to leave! From the great vinyl collections, to the fully equipped kitchen, Rachel's place was perfect for a few days away from the city. The drive was beautiful, and Rachel gave great recommendations on things to do during our visit (Goat Rock Beach is absolutely gorgeous)! Even though we brought some extra blankets, the cabin was very cold during our first night. After starting a fire and using the space heaters provided, the cabin felt like a home away from home. We didn't want to leave! Do yourself a favor and experience this for yourself, we will definitely come back!

    Francisco2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved the A frame cabin. It was beautiful and a very unique space. We particularly loved the record collection which made our stay very special! The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and the wood burner is a treat. We were very comfortable there and would recommend it. We needed to park at the bottom of the dirt path (seconds from the entrance) as our car couldn't make it up the slope so be prepared, it's so worth the effort though.

    Jon2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a idyllic pad! We listened to records in front of the wood-burning stove, read some selections from Rachel's excellent book selection (Beckett! Flannery O'Connor!), and made paella to eat out on the back porch. The unique details make it so special--the skylights looked out onto the redwoods, and the "experimental hut community" painting echoed our sentiments exactly. Till next time...

    Dena2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I have been visting this area for years and couldn't dream up a more perfect atmosphere. If you're looking to relax by a fire nestled in the redwoods surrounded by all the beauty you can handle while listening to one of the most perfectly currated record collections around, then do yourself a favor and book a stay at Rachel's A-Frame! Conveniently located within 10-15 mins of any outdoor adventure imaginable. Beautiful beaches, hikes, bike rides, restaurants, wine and loads more. P.S. If I were a Silicon Valley tech guru I'd hack in and erase the negative comment below. ABSURD. A+++++

    Brandon2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel, thank you so much for curating such a wonderful experience. Your attention to detail -- from albums to hand towels to cooking equipment -- left us needing nothing, just as your description promised. Your A-frame was everything we hoped; looking forward to returning!

    Evan2015-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • i decided to surprise my husband with a little weekend retreat in the redwoods and rachel's cabin was perfect in every way! it's better in person and is filled with so much charm and character. she was beyond helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area and places to go. her response time from start to finish was excellent and she made every step of the way easy. i would definitely go back and recommend this place to friends since it's an idyllic little a frame in the woods. the amenities were great and the location was so private and quiet - having driven up from LA the quiet was incredible! there are so many fun things to do close by and some great food in the area so if you are considering this place, i highly recommend it! thank you rachel for being so wonderful and having this cabin for others to share! :)

Shangrila has gotten even better. We have a fire table on the deck that is great to watch & to keep you warm on chilly nites. Also, my son, Gino, & his sweet dog, Frida, are cohosting with me. Frida is never allowed in the guest room. The delightful Occidental Bohemian Farmers Market continues Fri. evenings till the end of Oct. T If you long to get your hands dirty, but don't have a garden, we'll share ours. There's always something to do!
Your spacious room overlooks a redwood forest with a meadow & wooded hills beyond. You may think you want to visit Sonoma County vineyards, beaches, or the Russian River, but once you're here, you may not want to leave. The room is quiet. You have your own bathroom called "The Mexi" because of Mexican tiles & mementos of travels in that country. There is safe, off street parking. You are within walking distance of the picturesque village of Occidental where there are good restaurants, gift shops, & tennis courts. People also love to ride bicycles around here even tho the roads are narrow, curvy, & steep. We are early risers & will have coffee ready by 7:00 with a gourmet continental breakfast including home pressed organic apple juice, homegrown organic seasonal fruits, homemade jam & special sweets. We are well situated as a stopover, but we could also be a destination. We have lawn Bocce ball & horse shoes. For rest after those exertions, there are hammocks in the redwoods. There is such good bird watching here that the local Audubon stops here during their Xmas bird count. When the weather isn't conducive to outside time, there is a fireplace in the living room. We love to share this beautiful place. Come on over!
  • What a brilliant find May's property is - if you've found it and are considering it, book it now! We had such a lovely welcome, a really peaceful night's sleep, a great shower in the morning and a gorgeous breakfast of fruits fresh from her garden. Top marks

    Hazel2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Mary's retreat among the redwoods. Our goal was to get away from the city for a relaxing weekend, and we loved relaxing in the hammocks in the backyard under the redwoods. Mary was a wonderful and kind host, and her homemade lemon cake and fresh squeezed Apple juice for breakfast were a delicious added bonus. We highly recommend Mary and her beautiful getaway.

    Lukasz2015-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place was beautiful and very peaceful. Loved her whole house and spent alot of time in the backyard just being out in nature.

    Kyle2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place is lovely and quiet sanctuary in the woods. And her breakfast is spot on. What an unexpected treat.

    Lowell (+ Whitney)2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place is an adult playground filled with remarkable memories, landscapes, gardens, hammocks, tree swings...a genuine place where every second of our time became more valuable. A great place to stay, explore & experience.

    Annaliza2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time in the redwoods. Beautiful place, Mary & Gene's house and everything around it. And Mary is a great host, nice breakfast company! Here's a sample of the view: (URL HIDDEN)

    Eric2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • My mother and I stayed in Mary's lovely abode for just one short evening. My mom could have stayed forever watching all the birds flutter about the yard. Mary was wonderful, making our stay extremely comfortable, as if we were home. Beautiful light filled rooms, cozy beds, and a beautiful view to wake up to - not to mention coffee, scones and sharing the Sunday newspaper. Thanks for a wonderful time, Mary!

    Delancey2014-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The property is in the countryside and a little tricky to find at night. We called Mary and she guided us to the well-lit entrance. She met us at the door, showed us around and let us be on our own. Our room had a private hallway that connect with a private bath. Very quite. The clear skies and moonlight lit the redwood forest outside our window—even more beautiful in the morning sun. Mary had coffee and a light continental breakfast ready for us in the morning and we had a lovely conversation. Only downside: twin beds. Otherwise, it was very comfortable. I'd love to take some downtime and spend a few days.

We welcome you to beautiful Sonoma County and Sebastopol, California. Land of plenty, and famous for our once prosperous Gravenstein apples and our overflowing vineyards. Western Sonoma County has a wealth of both natural beauty and intriguing activity. Our separate and private guest cottage is a cozy, rustic-chic space that will make you feel miles away from the business of everyday life. It has a four poster queen size bed and a living room area with a flat screen TV, DVD player, microwave and mini refrigerator. Coffee maker with local organic Taylor-Made coffee provided, as well as herb and black teas, and popcorn for your movie watching pleasure. Also full bath with sunken tub and sky lights. Please be aware that if you have mobility issues, this may not be the best place for you, as there is a step up to the bed, as well as a step up to the tub. Sit under the stars on the back deck and watch the moon rise above you in this serene country setting. We have an acre to roam with a stream in the winter months and a wood bridge that crosses it. Lots of lemon, apple, persimmon and oak trees. Downtown Sebastopol is 2 miles away with numerous delicious restaurants, a fabulous indie movie theater, thrift stores, antique shops, music venues and brew pubs. Now open is the brand new Barlow Center. A mecca of food, drink and the best local wines and coffee houses you'll find anywhere. We provide names and addresses of our favorite places for you. We are also available to answer any questions you have about our lovely piece of California. We are happy to share, and are dedicated to the Airbnb way of travel and adventure. There is even an old train depot with a train car converted into a wine bar. A truly eclectic, artistic and diverse community awaits you in Sebastopol California and you are only 20 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Ocean & Bodega Bay. Come stay in the Lemon Moon Cottage and relax and refresh. Note: We will be changing our weekend bookings to a 2 night minimum starting January 1, 2018. There is not a way to add this to our availability page until right before the date. Thanks for your understanding! Cheers, Robin and Michelle
Our neighborhood is rural, quiet, and close to activities and restaurants in downtown Sebastopol and beyond.
  • My husband and I planned a quick overnight trip to Sebastopol and instead of staying in a hotel we decided to book an Airbnb. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Michelle and Robin went above and beyond to make our stay at the Lemon Moon Cottage relaxing and comfortable. From the moment you walk into the cottage it’s clear that they put a lot of love and care into it, from the décor to the bed to the super warm blankets for star gazing. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying what an adorable town Sebastopol is. Thank you Robin and Michelle for the extremely gracious hospitality. We will definitely be staying here next time we plan a trip to Sebastopol.

    Vanessa2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous space. The photos match what you get. Lemon Bars were To Die For! Delicious. Quiet, secluded, close to civilization if you want it or you can have food delivered if you dont want to leave. A great place to get away and RELAX. Beautiful bathroom, huge tub. Excellent value. Will go back, will recommend.

    Luba2013-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle and Robin were so lovely and easy to work with. Definitely looking forward to staying with them in this adorable cottage in the future.

    Kate2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • we were very comfortable at Lemon Moon. There was explicit information for us and the room was lovely and warm. They even warmed the space for us so that when we arrived late at night it was comfortable.

    janet2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lemon Moon Cottage is exactly as pictured. Freshly made lemon bars and a bottle of wine were waiting for us when we arrived. Robin picked delicious plums from a tree on their property and gave us half a dozen of them. We enjoyed visiting with both Michelle & Robin. Their house is on a country road, with the cottage right behind. The cottage was quiet and comfortable, and we loved our stay there. Our only complaint was that the internet service, generally strong, was sometimes not strong enough.

    cynthia2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Clean, cosy, quiet, great location. Ideal for couples who want to discover Sonoma and Napa.

    David2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, charming cottage- the pictures do not do it justice. Michelle and Robin were excellent hostesses, giving us our complete privacy, but adding lovely personal touches to our stay. We hope to have a return visit.

    barbara2013-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lemon Moon was the perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. The cottage itself is super cozy and the property is quiet and relaxing. We had planned on arriving and heading straight into town to explore Sebastopol but instead wound up spending the afternoon on the deck at Lemon Moon, rocking and talking, taking in nature and sipping from the bottle of wine left to welcome us! Robin and Michelle were great hosts -- super flexible on check-in time and we were so happy to get to meet and chat with them and their son. Robin even offered to drive us into town! (A 3 minute drive from great cafes and bars and restaurants in town, there is also a local taxi company (Lovers Vineyard), which charged us $10 to drive us back to Lemon Moon late night :) We would definitely recommend Lemon Moon as a base camp for Sebastopol/wine country stays-- or as a getaway in and of itself!

Stay in your own private wine country cottage with own kitchen, bathroom and yard and garden on a small, family farm. This cottage has been featured in various tv shows including "Tiny House Nation" and "Tiny House Hunters".
Your own wine country cottage with its own bath and kitchen located on a small farm. The cottage is private, but we are available to answer any questions. The cottage has it's own yard and garden. The parking is right outside the cottage with no trails or steps to get to it. The cottage overlooks the farm and a eucalyptus grove. You may see our mini-horse "Comanche", chickens, a sheep or two meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern rustic with open ceilings and a Vermont Castings vented gas fireplace. A flick of the switch and "voila" a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. There is also full-size organic wool and cotton coil futon sofa that sleeps two. We provide only the highest quality cotton towels and bedding. The guests really appreciate it. And, you can cook there. We have 2 burner stove and small convection oven, lots of pots, pans, etc. We'd be happy to share our farm fresh eggs with you. They're so much better than store bought! The guests have exclusive use of a private yard, with seating. There is a small garden attached where they can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad or whatever else may be in season. While we have dogs, cats and farm animals on the property no animals are allowed in the cottage. Guests may not bring pets either. This ensures the cottage stays clean and allergen-free. We interact with guests as much as necessary for the guests. We assume people like their privacy, but we also love to meet people and show them around the farm if interested. We tend to let the guests determine how much interaction they want with us. We know the area well and are available to answer any questions. We also love to share our farm fresh goodies, like fresh eggs, veggies or fruit from our trees. Our farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas Tree Farms, and vineyards. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches of Bodega Bay taking beautiful back roads right from our neighborhood. There are three main wine tasting routes nearby. For chardonnays and pinot noirs you can stay right in our appellation, the Russian River Valley, and Olivet Road to River Rd. Healdsburg is Dry Creek and Alexander Valley for merlots, zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon. All of these and more are nearby. Right in Sebastopol there is Iron Horse Vineyards, Lynmar, Balletto, Russian River Vineyards, Dutton Family Wines and many more. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transportation in our rural neighborhood. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy bohemian feel, and many are dedicated to the slow food movement. Neighbors regularly trade their bounties with each other, such as milk, honey, eggs and veggies. There is also the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay (we provide beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. upon request), and great swimming and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through beautiful redwoods at Armstrong Woods. And of course visit countless wineries and gourmet restaurants. We can fill you in on our favorite spots.

  • Charming cottage and good location. Hidden away yet close to the town. We arrived later in the evening so we didn't get a chance to meet the hosts. Clean, cute space and nice personal touches such as coffee, wine, small wild flowers, tomatoes from the garden and persimmons. The sheep and goat penned outside of the cottage were friendly and curious as we ate lunch at the picnic table. Relaxing overall. The gas fireplace was a really nice addition. Only issues were the bed was pretty small for two people and we ran out of hot water when taking a hot shower in the morning of our second day. We decided to just finish with the cold water and head out.

  • Mary's cottage was wonderful. It was the perfect place for a lovely getaway. Mary had fresh tomatoes and eggs for us-- it was heaven! Definitely recommend!

    Brennan2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's cottage was great for a couple nights as we explored the area. There was nothing really luxurious about the cottage, but it was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed staying there. The gas stove was a real plus since we live in Florida and rarely get to enjoy a fire. We found the nearest town, Sebastopol, to be limited in terms of dining, but drive 10 minutes more to Santa Rosa and there are many great options.

    Chad2016-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous, serene, quaint, spotless, and a lovely experience of living on a Sebastopol farm.

    Kimberly2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed an idyllic three-night stay in Mary's quiet cottage, picking homegrown tomatoes from the garden and enjoying the occasional sounds of sheep or a miniature horse nearby. I loved the high open ceiling and floors of reclaimed wood. We made good use of the kitchenette and found the cottage most comfortable for two with a great queen bed, nice couch, and dining table that Mary had set for dinner: Her caring touches were all around, though we never got to see or meet her. The roads to her place, about 3 miles SW of Sebastopol, were a maze the first night but by the next afternoon we knew our way around and enjoyed the network of narrow lanes throughout semi-rural western Sonoma County. We hope to return to Mary's cottage next year--recommended.

    Tim2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a short getaway in Mary's little cottage! It sits on a beautiful and peaceful property, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. The cottage is very well equipped, the bed is so comfortable and the linens are high quality. Mary was very helpful and accessible, and even shares her bountiful garden with guests. We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to coming back!

    Christine2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best escape to Sonoma we could have hoped for. The cottage was precious and stocked with everything we could have wanted. We especially loved the fresh eggs and assortment of green teas. Mary had put out fresh flowers for us and was always available for suggestions and questions when we had them. We enjoyed feeding the chickens each morning and made great friends with the sheep too. The cottage is a short drive from downtown Sevastopol and several valleys for wine tasting. We had a wonderful time and are already looking for a time we can go back.

    Kristen2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place was just what we wanted. A nice cottage outside of the city. It was a short 10 min drive into town. Very quit and peaceful.

  • Staying upstairs at MoniClaire Winery is the ultimate Dry Creek wine country experience. Staying above the tasting room in the middle of the vineyards, we were able truly enjoy the solitude of the valley. Mary and Peter Smiderle are the most welcoming and gracious hosts. Their property is a little slice of heaven. The upstairs was was impeccably clean and neat while the tasting room (common area) had a kitchen sink, refrigerator stocked with drinks, snacks, and creme for the coffee Mary had provided for us. Peter's family has been making wine in California for nearly 100 years, and the quality of his wine is reflective of that rich history... You are also right in the middle of Sonoma wine country and close to some of the most renowned wineries in the world. We were in walking distance to Mazzocco Winery, where we enjoyed Blues in the vineyards one night. This is the way to visit the Healdsburg wine country. We would suggest this to anyone visiting the area. We had an amazing time at MoniClaire!!

    Gary2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Beth and Peter were wonderful hosts. Communication was seamless. They were quick and proactive with recommendations. They produce a wonderful Zin! During our stay, there was a technical issue with Uber, so Mary Beth very graciously drove us to dinner. Everything about the stay was perfect.

  • Mary Beth and Peter were absolutely wonderful hosts and the accommodations were fantastic! The property is beautiful and convenient to many vineyards, as well as a downtown Healdsburg.

    Jessica2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay! Nice to hang downstairs in the winery, and the upstairs was very comfortable. Mary even came over and opened up a bottle of the zinfandel to share with us. Very close in proximity to downtown Healdsburg, as well as many wineries in the area. Excellent overall.

    Trevor2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Beth and Peter were great hosts. We had plenty of privacy and great conversations when we had questions. We found that their local knowledge was great and their facilities were top notch. The location is so beautiful and right near some of our most favorite wineries. The wine that they make is really good and the first evening we had a wine tasting of their wines on their deck over looking the Dry Creek Valley and it was incredible. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, all this and only a 10 minute drive to Healdsburg. We are looking forward to our next stay there in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the Healdsburg area.

    Phil2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the wine country in San Francisco. Mary Beth and Peter’s winery was essentially a private resort because of its picturesque setting, accommodating hosts and warm swimming pool. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to relax and unwind in an incredibly peaceful place.

Therefore we ask you keep your party size to two or three. Be prepared to build a fire. Wood stove is the primary heat source. We look forward to meeting you! Katrina & Larry
It's a quiet dead end road. There are houses close by but people keep to themselves.
  • We wanted a quick getaway to the Russian River before Christmas, and found this amazing place! Let me highlight our stay for you: 1.) Fire, hell yes, it's December and stormy! Warm and cozy when we arrived in the dark. 2.) Treats!- there was even a loaf of nutty bread on the counter that we ate with our morning eggs and french pressed coffee. So kind. There is nothing like a bit of goodies in a home to make you feel like you're, well, home. 3.) Woke up to the sound of rain on the roof, and misty redwoods out the huge windows in a seriously amazing bed. 4.) Lazed around all day and read by the fire under soft blankets, took a walk, and cooked up a nice dinner. Basically you can't go wrong if you like a beautifully designed, extreemely well taken care of, clean, quiet, homey, comfortable, relaxing escape in the woods by the river. So close to the river, town and all it offers, but feels like you're in your own private world. We will be back, so save some room.

  • Amazing house in a great, secluded location.

    Anders2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had a really enjoyable stay in this beautiful spot - I just wish I could have stayed longer! The windows and trees are amazing, with a lovely kitchen for cooking and a really comfortable bed. The fire was roaring when we arrived. This place is really cozy and perfect for 2-3 people.

    Leona2012-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! Katrina and Larry were very accommodating and generous with their cabin. There was lots of food to choose from and they were very generous of their firewood. Everything was set up upon arrival, even the fireplace was built and ready to be lit. The entire property was very clean, I think even the pine needles are scared to fall on the property as not to make a mess. The WIFI is strong and fast, this place is perfect for working when you need to be productive and focused. This is my new favorite getaway, I will definitely be back again. One suggestions for future guests: Make sure you take advantage of daylight time. The view is beautiful during the day, there is not so much to look at during the evening, so dont sleep in!! (its hard not to sleep in with the amazing bed) :)

  • Fantastic cabin! Beautiful setting, well thought-out design and arrangements, and Katrina thought of everything we might need. I hope I can stay sometime again.

    Elizabeth2013-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Katrina's cabin was the most stylish and well decorated I've ever stayed at. It has a beautiful little nook at the top for reading. We felt like home right away and I would love to come back here. Our favorite spot in the area is Cafe Acquatiqa which is in Jenner about 10 minutes away. Bring a book and a blanket and spend the day reading in the sun.

    Gustaf2015-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! The cabin is beautiful, clean and in a lovely environment. Katrina is the nicest host you could possibly imagine! Too bad we could only stay for two nights.

    Sacha2014-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Truly - a magical space! Clean and welcoming, charming and very insprirational. What a totally picturesque romantic getaway this place was, or perhaps a fabulous space for a solo artist looking to focus on creative output. The cabin was exactly as pictured, but even better. The outside of the house is just as modern looking as the interior shown. A nice bonus - Katrina was kind to get the fire started, so when we arrived around 6pm, the cozy vibe was already in place and ready to go! Because the kitchen and dining area looked so inviting in the photos, we decided to prepare all our meals during our 2 night stay there - stopping for fresh groceries on our way from SF at the Whole Foods - Coddington, which was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and pots/pans we needed. The cabin layout is really thoughtfully designed, feels a lot like a tri-level loft with a balance of old and new. All open like a multi-level studio apartment, so there aren't any enclosed walls between rooms. If traveling with more than a couple, there isn't any noise privacy (visual, yes) - so it was actually just perfect for 2. Tips: - About 15-20 minutes from the ocean, we visited a beautiful beach with a remarkably gorgeous wavescape - Be careful not to overstuff the fireplace and do NOT leave the door open while unsupervised, we noticed a few embers fall out but were quick to adjust the log placement after that - Due to the remote nature of the area, cell service may not be working that well, so when communicating with Katrina, using internet may be the most reliable method of message exchange. We did not get to meet her, as she totally respected our privacy, but seems like a warm spirit 3

Quiet Neighborhood with just a little country thrown in. Construction behind The Loft has slowed to a crawl. We can not predict their intensity on a day to day basis, but the private deck allows for a more serene environment.
  • The Loft was perfect, just as I thought it would be. The description of the area was accurate and not at all misleading. The view was fantastic and the neighborhood was quiet and secluded but the shops and restaurants were only a short car ride away! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to do some wine tasting and the Cohen's place made our trip awesome. Thank you!

    Ali2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent Easter at the Loft. Very clean, private and great views. The Cohens were available by text and kindly provided me with a hairdryer. I would recommend to friends and family.

    Amanda2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for a quiet getaway. Clean, well organized and just as the pictures advertise. Sitting on the deck with a view of the vineyard was a highlight of our trip to the area. Highly recommend!

    Allison2015-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Cohen's were great. The space was amazing. It had a view of the vineyard. When we arrived we were greeted with a breakfast for two. This is a must visit!

    Ivy2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is conveniently located and provided a perfect place to rest my head while enjoying wine country. While I didn't meat the hosts, they were excellent communicators and sent detailed instructions for accessing the loft. I had a great time staying in Windsor!

    Candise2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Cohens were excellent communicators and kept us up to date on all check in information prior to our arrival. We were welcomed to their cozy loft/cottage by a beautiful plate of scones. The vineyards and hills are a beautiful vista in the mornings. Great location in Windsor just minutes from US 101 to connect you to everything in Wine Country and San Francisco.

    Preeti2016-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, nice clean and characterful room. Very peaceful. Hosts communicated perfectly and left me to my privacy which I appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place.

    Rajeev2015-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was beautiful. This place was exactly as described/shown. Check in/key exchange was a breeze and the private, off street parking was great to feel like you weren't intruding on the neighborhood. We were welcomed with scones and printed instructions about anything we would need in the loft. The Cohens provided coffee and basic cooking necessities. We very much enjoyed cooking breakfast in the kitchen and sitting on the deck in the morning. The location was perfect for us. It was a $10-$25 Uber ride to Healdsburg and many great wineries along Dry Creek Road. The loft was decorated beautifully and there were plenty of spare blankets and towels. The rain shower head really stole the show in the bathroom. Highly recommend and hope we have the opportunity to come back.

  • We were very pleased with their beautiful home and our accommodations. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and inviting. The host and hostess were most hospitable and enjoyable. Serving us a welcome cheese tray and wine was a treat. The breakfasts were an added plus. They also accommodated our need for a separate bed/room. Their location affords many close activities and the location is in beautiful wine country. I would highly recommend them.

  • It was absolutely wonderful staying with Donn. My best friend and I were looking for a nice place to stay for a girl's weekend, and this place exceeded expectations. The room was clean and spacious, and we had the absolute pleasure of chatting wit Donn and his wife both when we arrived and at breakfast in the morning. Insider tip: Donn makes some of the best bread you'll have in your life, and he's generous with the recipe!

    Aubrey2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Donn's place was delightful. The room is spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The ensuite bathroom has everything you might need, including hairdryer and toiletries. The house is fantastic, with a lovely garden full of homegrown vegetables and a deck with comfortable chairs to sit and relax in. We were welcomed with a glass of delicious wine and a large snack of cheese and crackers, cherries and some homemade tomato marmalade. Donn and his wife are lovely and such gracious hosts, it was a truly delightful stay. We were also treated to an excellent breakfast with eggs from the chickens in the back garden. If you're looking for a relaxing stay in the wine country, look no further!

    Alex2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. Everything you could possibly want in a beautiful home with lovely people and an incredible breakfast (they don't call 'em superhosts for nothing). We were here for a wedding in Healdsburg and it was a quick, easy drive to downtown. You'll feel like an honored guest! (Dear Donn and Danja, please adopt us. Love, Bridget and Brian)

    Bridget2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Was a great experience! The location was great for the wine trail. Beautiful and clean home. Enjoyed playing with their furry extended family. They were both great people and we enjoyed chatting with them. Also, the breakfast was great with fresh eggs and vegetables!

  • We had such a good time at the Clark's place. They are great host and very kind people, the room is perfect and they cook us a wondeful farm to table breakfast. It will be great to stay at their place again.

    Jenny2015-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and I had the best time staying with Donn and Danja. They are very warm welcoming people who opened their home and community to us. We had the freshest breakfast tasty and healthy. Both Donn and Danny spent time with us as well as directed us where to go to see things like the Armstrong forest, Korbel Facility, Russian River Brewing Company to name a few things. Shadow and Ringo will be missed! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Truly, it was like coming home! I would stay here again!

    Diane2015-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Donn was fantastic! I can't recommend him or his place enough. We loved his beautiful property--it was tons of fun to see all of his plants and the chickens he keeps in the back (whose eggs scramble up beautifully). Donn was a great communicator and totally helpful. I'd certainly recommend staying with him.

  • The house is wonderful! A lot of space both indoors and out, right down the street from a vineyard, very clean and new, and easy to get to. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire and using the grill for dinner. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We had an issue getting into the house and Amanda was very quick to respond with the solution (and continued to be great at communication for any questions). Would definitely recommend staying here, and I hope to make it back again in the future!

    Brianne2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda made us feel very welcome, even providing an extra special touch by leaving and a few breakfast items in the fridge to get us started. Everything was very clean, which is especially important to me! Thank you!! :) The house was beautiful--the pictures do not do it justice! It was perfect for the 9 women we had there--everyone had exactly enough space to sleep and 4 bathrooms was perfect for us! Thank you for a perfect weekend!

    Charlotte2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great vacation rental. It has a busy front street but a secluded and wooded back area that makes you feel like you are in the country. The place is beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfy and the whole place is clean and well stocked. We would come back anytime.

    Julia2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bagels and cream cheese were waiting for us upon arrival. The place is spacious, the communication is clear and thorough, the location was less than 5 minutes from the wedding venue we were driving to. Amanda is incredibly friendly and responsive and we left something at the property and she was more than accommodating. The property is right off the highway and the property couldn't have been nicer. There is plenty of parking and there are 4 bathrooms! This is huge with a big group gathering. I would definitely recommend this property.

    Anthony2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful house that has literally everything you need in a home away from home. Amanda was very responsive and so easy to work with. This is a beautiful area and also close to Santa Rosa and Healdsburg.

    Sheryl2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home in a very central location for wine tasting. We were minutes from our favorites, and there were restaurants, grocery and drug store super-close.

    Ann2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was very responsive to any questions or concerns before and during our stay. She went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay again and will receommend her home to my friends and family who live in the area for their out of town guests.

    Janet2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 10 females had the most wonderful long weekend staying at Amanda's home in wine country. We had oodles of space, super comfy beds and all the amenities you could wish for! She even had the fridge stocked with juice, bagels, cream cheese and cream as well as coffee upon arrival. Her home is beautifully appointed and super convenient for getting around Wine Country. This home will absolutely be our go-to for all future wine tasting trips together. Amanda is a great communicator even though we never saw her. Can't recommend this property enough, especially for girls' weekend or family time together.

  • Quiet residential neighborhood with good walking path near by. Michael makes a good breakfast and has an incredible Oakland Raiders collection. We had an excellent time and made a new friend in Michael. We will stay there again. It is close to the wineries that we like and Healdsburg.

    Ronald2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michael reached out to me ahead of my reservation date to see if I would need anything specific for my arrival. I was coming up from San Francisco for Ironman Vineman. While I use AIrbnb a lot, this was my first house sharing experience. Michael set a very high standard. Michael is such a fantastic host. The house is very comfortable and clean with nice amenities. I am just sad I was too busy with my triathlon race and didn't get to taste his BBQ skills. If you are traveling from overseas and want to experience an all- American hospitality and culture this is the right place for you. Michael has a man cave which can keep you busy with tons of memorabilia for a whole afternoon. Backyard is beautiful and so peaceful which makes a perfect place to have your breakfast or lunch. House is very close to highway, organic grocery store, and tons of wineries (too many to list).

    Bita2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Normally we look for 'whole property' on Airbnb but Michael's reviews encouraged us to try shared living. It was fabulous! Michael is a wonderful host: warm, friendly and interested but also left us to ourselves. We had two pretty bedrooms and a private bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the rooms fitted out to a very high standard (as was the rest of the house). Michael's backyard is pretty and sunny with shade for very hot days. The location was very good. In fact I wished I'd arranged our travels differently to have more than two nights in beautiful Windsor. Lovely host, lovely house. I want to go back!

    Lynn2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 4 had a stay that exceeded our expectations. Michael is a wonderful host in a beautiful and clean home, and he could not have been more welcoming to us. We arrive VERY late due to unforeseen circumstances, yet he greeted us (and our unexpected gear) with a smile, and even made us breakfast while we gathered ourselves for our day. Thank you for making the weekend great, Michael!

    Kelly2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a great host, full of info and suggestions regarding Napa. Rooms were very comfortable and the location is great for a lot of vineyards. Highly recommend.

  • We really had a great time at Michael's place. He was such a great host. Love his dog Coco and his cat Lucy. We'll definitely stay at his place again. Great location! Thank you for having us!

  • Vino Velo house is a gem and Jenny, a wonderful host. Our group was in town for the Santa Rosa Ironman and the location in Windsor was perfect. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and was outfitted with everything we needed for our stay--including a bike stand in the garage! Check-in was a breeze and Jenny responded very quickly to any questions--a great experience from start to finish.

    Karen2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's place was absolutely perfect. Everything was well decorated, extremely clean, and the beds were really comfy. It truly felt like a home away from home up in wine country. Jenny herself could not have been nicer, and was unbelievably accommodating when we had another Airbnb reservation fall through moments prior to check in. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thanks again Jenny!

    Miles2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's Home offered us the perfect combination of a quiet, fully-equipped home base in close proximity to wonderful food, wine, and cycling. The unexpected bonus was the spacious garage that was well-equipped for cycling maintenance and storage. Jenny is clearly a pro at this. We enthusiastically will recommend her to our friends.

    Alan2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house! Perfect for a girls weekend away. Very comfortable, a lot of space inside and out. Super clean and the most comfortable beds.

    Melanie2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this property to anyone! Jenny is very communicative and a wonderful host. The home is very cozy and well-appointed. It feels like she thought of everything you'd need to have a great trip! The location is great for both Napa and Sonoma wineries. We brought my mom here for her 80th birthday, and she was delighted with the house. There are stairs at the front door, but otherwise, it's a perfect house for someone who has mobility issues. I'm really going to miss the fireplace in the living room and the spacious kitchen! Next time I'm in the area with family or friends, this is the first place I'd look to book.

    Karen2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's home is super clean, cute, and charming. I went with my boyfriend and another couple and it was perfect for us. She doesn't skip over any details in her home. It was exactly as described in the listing and Jenny was easy to coordinate with. The house was even cuter in person than in the pictures and has anything you can need, including all linens and kitchen stuff. We even ended up using some of the board games once we were back in for the night, which was fun. We do an annual trip to wine country and it's centrally located to all the spots we love (Russian River, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley). I'd stay here again or recommend Jenny's place to anyone.

    Cristina2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Vino Velo House and Jenny gave us the best experience we have encountered on Airbnb to date and we've been hosting/traveling since 2011. The details in the house are amazing, the home is better in person as the pictures don't do it justice to how great everything (URL HIDDEN) like a boutique modern hotel! Coffee and tea are on the counter and common pantry items if you need. We enjoyed the back patio in the morning, it's a peaceful little oasis! Jenny was the best 'concierge' you could ask for and her communication is stellar. Anything you need she's ready to make sure you have the best experience! We come to Windsor once a year and will definitely book with Jenny again!

  • This is by far the BEST airbnb experience I've ever had. Jenny is an amazing host and the Vino house is extremely cozy and clean. Thank you for this wonderful weekend and I'll definitely come back again in the near future.

  • Brenda and Jim's place is beautifully located in a vineyard. Fall asleep with beautiful stars overhead, and wake up to the sights of the vineyard: beautiful vines outside your window, an occasional jackrabbit or fox running by, and the peaceful tranquility of Sonoma County. Lovely beautiful place, fun for couples, and hard to leave!

  • What a spectacular gem in wine country!

  • It's tough to beat waking up in the middle of a vineyard. Beautiful property and very convenient to the Headsburg square.

  • We loved Chix Villa! It was immaculate, well decorated with great style and perfectly stocked for a weekend with water, fruit, coffee. We loved staying in the middle of a vineyard and are thankful to Brenda for sharing her home. The Location was easy as it was a quick drive to town and close to jump on the highway too. I would absolutely recommend yje property for a Healdsburg get away and hope we will be able to return.

  • Elegant, peaceful, quiet.

    kyle2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an awesome way to kick off our trip to Wine Country! Chix Villa exceeded our expectations in every way. Super private and tranquil... loved relaxing in the hammock and playing corn hole! Quick drive or Uber into town for some really great dinners. Spent one day walking to the neighboring vineyards and doing tastings. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

  • Beautiful place in a beautiful location! Its worth walking to the three wineries down the street. They were all great. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • This was my first AirBNB and it was beyond our expectations! First, the value for the location is amazing, and the room itself is more like a suite, with a king bed, comfortable, plenty of pillows, cable TV, great shower, his/her sinks and a fridge with snacks! Plenty of room for two people to enjoy! We were surprised at how quiet and quaint the property is, even though it's in a neighborhood. Access in and out and to the interstate was extremely convenient as we went to Healdsburg and Santa Rosa during our stay. Water pressure in the shower is top notch, and plenty of hot water! On the occasions I needed something, Catherine was there immediately to assist. She also let me know when she would be around/leaving so that I could communicate any needs/issues. The backyard porch is a great touch, it's quiet and beautiful- access in and out is easy as pie- Catherine was amazingly accommodating, offering to pick up groceries/accept deliveries like flowers, etc. If you are in the area, I highly recommend looking at the "Oak Wine Barrel Inn" and staying at Catherine's place!

  • The accommodations at Kay's home were great. The room was clean and comfortable. We will stay there again next time we are in the area.

  • Great stay, was a perfect host from the quick responses to the food provided in the fridge. Would definitely stay here again. Very centrally located to all of wine country.

  • Catherine's place was perfect for what my bf and I needed! I was so surprised we were able to find her place available last minute for our weekend getaway. I love how it has a private entrance and a separate bathroom. Price was very reasonable. Catherine really takes the time to be a thoughtful and caring host. She has towels and amenities in the room too. She even had a hair tie, which i forgot to pack! It was nice to also have a continental breakfast. The California King bed was amazing. I've never slept on amazing comfy bed like that. It made it hard to get up in the morning. It was quiet and had privacy. I'm so sorry we weren't able to meet because both of our busy schedules. Hopefully, one day we will meet because we want to stay there again. Sonoma is one of our favorite places to get away from the Bay Area. Next time we'll book for a longer stay! Thank you so much Catherine!

    Irene2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved that staying at Kay's felt like coming home. The coffee, teas, oatmeal and continental breakfast items she provided daily were a special treat. The bed was super comfortable (and I have back issues so that says a lot!). She was responsive to our needs and the place was immaculate. Really a lovely retreat and so close to Healdsburg and the Sonoma County vineyards that it made for a great vacation spot!

Looking for something a little more intimate but need a reservation Scopa and its sister restaurant Campa Fina are also amazing. Willi's Raw Seafood and Oyster Bar is great for tapas and cocktails. We highly recommend Barn Diva for a wonderful dining experience. There are so many wonderful places to dine in the area and we are happy to recommend our favorite spots. If you are an avid cyclist, there is great cycling to be done!
  • My husband, 2 yr old daughter and I had a wonderful time staying with David & Reggie for a weekend. Their home was beautiful, very clean and well taken care of. The bedroom & bathroom were very clean, spacious and well decorated and we enjoyed the brand new very comfortable mattress. They were great about suggesting places to eat and the Sunday farmers market that was just a block away. They made sure we had everything we needed, my daughter enjoyed playing with their kitten, and we were able to store our bikes in their garage. I would certainly recommend this to someone who wants to stay in Windsor or who is interested in spending time in Healdsburg, but looking for a more affordable accommodation.

  • This place is superb! Its just perfect for responsible, tidy and kind people. You couldnt ask for anything else! We enjoyed our one night to the fullest, relaxing and laughing. Thank you!

  • Reggie & David were both friendly and their cats were adorable. Nice, modern kitchen with all you need! Good value if exploring Healdsburg/windsor

    Izzy 2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with David and Reggie was such a pleasant and relaxing experience that it's almost hard to put into words. They were quite attentive, warm and welcoming but also unobtrusive. Their apartment could not have been a better home base from which to explore the beauty of Sonoma Wine Country. Exquisitely elegant with an attention to detail that would put most magazine apartments to shame. Can't wait to return someda and stay with them again.

    Jorge2016-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • I wish I had more than 5 stars to give. LOVE LOVE LOVED staying here! Reggie and David were extremely nice, welcoming, and accommodating. Their townhouse is flawless! Better than what you see in the pictures. On the last night of our stay we stayed up and had drinks with David and just had the best time! Took lyft's all weekend wine tasting, and none were over $20 - even to get deep out into wine country. You walk outside and you have Windsor's whole downtown and they also have an Oliver's Market right across the street, which is my favorite! We will definitely be back to stay again!

    Caitie 2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Planned a trip to the Calistoga area after my co-workers gifted a massage for me and my husband. Wanted to turn a one day trip to a mini-moon so I found David and Reggie's place. Their home is beautiful. The inside of their home looks like a page out of a magazine. You would never be able to tell that there are any pets in the house since it is so clean. I also liked how there were toiletries available to us. The place is located in a cute neighorbood right above a good breakfast spot and not too far of a car ride to the even cuter town of Healdsburg. We only got to meet David but he was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back again.

    Frances2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Reggie&David's place was soooo amazing, a Swedish feel, immaculate and tidy, they prepared nearly everything you have ever imagined. Would highly recommend this place for your stay at wine country!

  • Maria could not have been more communicative or helpful. This is a great value place to stay if you have a car and plan to drive around the region. She provides light breakfast, snacks and drinks. A welcome surprise. Just one of many thoughtful details.

  • This is a very private and exceptionally appointed room. It has a private entrance, lovely garden and is extremely clean. While you do need a car to go to downtown (Windsor) you are only a 10 min drive to Healdsburg and the Dry Creek wine country. The Santa Rosa airport is also just 10 min away. Stayed in a lot of ABnBs over the years. This one is among the best.

    Qiong2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to stay in the Windsor/Healdsburg area, no need to look further! We have stayed at AirBnBs in the US and abroad and I can honestly say that Marie is the best host we have met. Her place adjoins her home, but has a separate entrance and is very private. High ceilings, tastefully furnished, the room has a queen bed, a compact sleeper couch and plenty of closet space. What made the experience so special is that Marie truly enjoys hosting and has thought of everything: snacks, fruit, beverages, toiletries, DVDs, microwave/refrig, Keurig and so much more. She is lovely and helpful, but also excels at giving her guests privacy. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable -- we were minutes away from the restaurants and shops of Windsor (great grocery store!) and Healdsburg. Marie's place is an example of the best of AirBnB. We give it our highest recommendation!

  • A lovely place! Marie was a lovely hostess, she welcomed me with great care !! It has an excellent taste for decoration, and the room is much more beautiful and cozy than in the photos. The residential neighborhood is charming and Marie kindly provides a book with fantastic tips from the area. She is always available and made me feel at home !! My mother can not travel with me, but I felt welcomed and cared for by her and her family! It was the best experience of my whole trip !! Thank you Marie !!! You are amazing!!!

  • This was a very convenient location as we wanted to visit Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley area. Windsor downtown is very close by and offers some good breakfast options. Ellen was a great host and made everything very convenient to check-in. The room was exactly as we expected. Very clean and comfortable. The bottle of wine and a birthday card were a very nice gesture on her part. I would definitely consider staying here again.

    Jayesh2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Ellen's place for 3 nights to explore Sonoma wineries. Location cannot be better. Close to everything: major roads, downtown Windsor, shops, and of course best wineries of Sonoma! The apartment is very spacious, clean and have all amenities needed. Ellen is a wonderful host , very easy to communicate and very helpful ! I would recommend this place and we are planning to stay at Ellen's place next fall when we coming back.

    Alina2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen's place is simple and clean, nicely appointed with great sheets and bed. She is a very kind and considerate hostess, and went out of her way to accommodate my daughter who has been ill. It's good to be so close to Windsor, which has a lot of charm. Having the Oliver's store nearby made up for not having a real kitchen.

    anneke2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Ellen's for a week, while he did Ironman Santa Rosa, and we would happily stay there again next time we're in the area. Ellen is a great host - very responsive and attentive. And not only did she have a bottle of wine waiting for us, she also later gave us a bottle of champagne! We felt very much at home at Ellen's place - there was plenty of space for our stuff (which was good, since we did not pack lightly!), the kitchenette had everything we needed, check in/out was incredibly easy and flexible, and we appreciated the Roku TV and WiFi. The place is located in a quiet, nice Windsor subdivision and was a great central location for getting to Santa Rosa, Lake Sonoma, Healdsburg, Sebastopol and any area wineries (some of which Ellen had complimentary wine tasting coupons for, which was a nice bonus). Only note I would make is that the bedroom would always stay warmer than the rest of the space, even with all the windows and interior doors open.

It was more than what we expected since the pictures were too few to show the true beauty of the home. We all felt very much at home for our Christmas dinner. The location was wonderful with a nice park directly across the street. We recommend this property highly!

  • The house was spacious and well located for our visit to CA wine country. As a group of 8 adults (4 couples), it was nice to have a place with 4 adult size rooms/beds. Easy check in and access during our visit and even available parking for 3 vehicles.

  • Margaret's house was absolutely beautiful! The photos were accurate and the decor was very inviting. The space was very comfortable for 8 adults. Margaret was available for any issues but none arose. The only thing that we did not expect were the multiple songs of several bull frogs in the back yard. It was great to be able to hear sounds like that. We don't have that in the city!!! We will definitely try to stay at Margaret's for years to come. We have been going out to Windsor for the last 10 years and having a beautiful place to stay made this year the best trip ever!!! Thank you Margaret!!!

You are welcome to our house. It is located in the best area of Windsor on a sunny lot in the quiet neighborhood. Yet close to Town Green and to Foothill Regional Park. Perfect place to enjoy calm hike without need to drive. It is perfect for a weekend getaway to explore Sonoma County wineries, especially Healdsburg area. Ideal place for a couple or two friends.
You will have large bedroom with queen size bed and a desk. Bathroom is conveniently adjacent to the bedroom.
Its the best neighborhood in Windsor.
  • San San's place is in a very residential area which is great if you like quite, which we do. The beds are twin kids beds which is fine but the kids are grown and gone so the bedding could probably be updated from children's bedding. But hey, when your just sleeping who cares. It's clean and comfortable and the host is very sweet and accommodating.

  • If you are in town to tour wineries, then you will enjoy the great location of San San's place.

  • Super accommodating and nurturing. San San reminds me of my mom. We finished backpacking the Lost Coast Trail and needed a place to stay last minute. She was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Oh and don't forget to get some homegrown figs from her before you leave.

  • San San's place was great! It's a beautiful, cleanly home in a great area. San San and Chris were very friendly and cooked us a great breakfast. They were very flexible with our arrival time and accommodating in every way. We even all shared a glass of wine together! I definitely recommend staying with them.

  • The Winelight Vineyard Cottage was an excellent place to stay while we were in town for the Santa Rosa Marathon. Michael was a great host, very flexible, and shared a bottle of his very own wine. The hot tub was great to relax in and the property was rustic but beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend.

    Chris2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Winelight Vineyard Cottage was exactly what we needed for a girlfriends' weekend getaway! Michael was the most gracious and responsive host, cruising down on his golf cart anytime we needed fresh towels or toiletries. The house itself was just as advertised — clean, spacious and a perfect "blob spot." The beds were comfy, the hot tub (and the stars!) was amazing, and with four people, we were thrilled to have hot water from Michael's well for each of us in the mornings. We love to cook, and the kitchen had everything we could need, including a blender! The house is surrounded by flowers and plants, and the morning birds were a peaceful plus. The Winelight is also located very conveniently between the maze of wineries around town, and it was easy to travel around. Russian Hill, just down the road, was a delight. I highly recommend the Winelight for the house, and the host!

    Julie 2015-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this home and Michael was so friendly and easy to work with. We are already planning another trip and we will definitely be staying in this home. The house is so roomy and comfortable. The home had everything we needed for our stay and more. The back patio was a peaceful place to drink our morning coffee and to visit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The large kitchen was awesome for the few times we cooked at the house. Overall we highly suggest Winelight! Thanks Michael for a great stay!!!!!!

  • We stayed at Michael's place last year for our honeymoon and had such a great experience that we returned again this year to celebrate our first anniversary. The house is located on a beautiful piece of property in a quiet area. The hot tub on the deck is clean, private and relaxing, and the home has all the comfort and amenities one needs for a great getaway including all the tools needed to cook a fabulous meal in its charming and spacious kitchen. Michael is an exceptional, thoughtful host who seeks to make sure your stay is top notch. We can't wait to go back!

  • Brad and Peg were the perfect hosts during our stay in Windsor. They greeted us warmly into their home, which is located close to the highway and Healdsburg but in a lovely, rustic neighborhood. They kept our area supplied with water, coffee, tea, and fresh cherries from the farmers' market. We couldn't have been more comfortable! Brad generously made us delicious espresso in the morning, and we enjoyed discussing local restaurants, Peg's writing projects, travel, and much more. When it was time to leave at the end of the weekend, they sent us off with even more farmers' market cherries and some wonderful memories. Thank you, Peg and Brad, for a perfect stay!

    John2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Peg and Brian for hosting us last Saturday. We were pampered as if we were in a boutique hotel with a beautifully appointed room, scones, coffee and hospitality. The location is super convenient, yet very scenic and tranquil; and we appreciated all the local activity and restaurant information you left in the room. And the room was very, very clean! We've been in a lot of airbnb's and this one is among the best. We left something behind in the room you were kind enough to text us right away before we got out of town. Very high end place with lots of room. Thank you again, and we'll be back soon!

Our location provides economy while visiting the Wine Country; an extra bedroom for guests, or a simple place to stay while visiting Sonoma County. There is fresh coffee in the morning, and if you let me know what you like in your coffee, we can have that for you too. We are seven minutes away from Healdsburg, and welcome friendly people into our home. We go to bed around 9 p.m., and will interact with you as much as you desire.
This is a private room in the heart of Wine Country. Save money for the wine!! This is a single bedroom in a private home with a private bathroom right off of the kitchen. All the other bedrooms are upstairs. We do have a friendly dog and cat in the home. They are friendly, but so not jump and are not allowed in the room.
This is a quiet neighborhood. A cul-de-sac with plenty of parking and friendly neighbors.
  • Great hosts. Very helpful. The only issue was the bed was very hard. Was a pullout/futon. A slight upgrade of the mattress will make this a 5-star stay!
