Weaverville Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Weaverville

Located along the Swannonoa River only 12 minutes from downtown Asheville, this quaint space is a perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a personal retreat. Jacuzzi tub for two, private wooded porches w/hammock, and swing make this a sweet mountain getaway.
Relax on the hammock and enjoy the sounds of the river on the porch swing. The comfortable, private porch is the perfect place for reading, relaxing, and enjoying an afternoon beverage. Enjoy a Jacuzzi tub for two and wind down. The studio is accessed through a private entrance with private parking and features a queen size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa, flat screen tv with Netflix and Hulu streaming services, DVD player, fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, and microwave. Coffee, tea, and chilled water are provided. Studio is stocked with care. Books, games, and art supplies for a creative and relaxing vacation. The property is located in a house perched in the trees--ideal bird watching and spotting wild turkeys, river otters, blue herons, beavers, ducks, and the occasional black bear. The river is only accessible via a short walk across the street and down the riverbank. Please note that while actual treehouses are amazing, this is a "treehouse," meaning a studio within a house in the trees! We just want to be clear.
This east Asheville neighborhood is a gorgeously wooded, private refuge with easy access to Asheville's best spots. 12 minutes to Downtown Asheville 3 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway 5 minutes to Warren Wilson College 15 minutes to Bilmore Estate Creekside Tavern, Filo Bakery, MoJo Coffee Truck, Pomodoro's, and the world's best taco truck are only minutes away on Asheville's eastside. Our neighborhood is a quiet, residential locale. Our priority is to respect our neighbors. You'll often find kids and pups navigating our winding neighborhood roads. It is essential that all guests drive slowly and carefully!
  • I had a wonderful stay - close enough to Asheville but with peace and quiet. The place is very clean and the Jacuzzi tub is a nice amenity. Interesting art on the walls.

  • This place was truly an oasis of tranquility! It's sweetly decorated, completely clean and is surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. We sat out on the porch in the swing each evening; such a nice way to end a busy day of hiking, rock climbing or shopping! It's about 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Asheville, but even closer to many amazing hiking areas such as the Blue Ridge Parkway. The driveway is a TAD tricky as it's very steep and narrow, but it's paved and any car should have no problem getting up it. The hot tub is to die for, it's SO wonderful!! Heather and Lee were great hosts, always available via text, welcoming with interesting conversation upon our arrival but completely respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect and tranquil experience staying here!

  • This place was great. Access to the studio was easy and convenient. Heather was helpful offering events and places to visit in the area. The swing is so wonderful to sit & listen to the creek across the street. We love cities like Asheville, but nice to "come home" to a peaceful place to stay. It has all the amenities of a hotel, but more convenient parking. Walk right up & you have your own private drive. Would definitely stay again. It's only 10-12 minutes from downtown which is nice.

    Lisa2015-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Heather is a wonderful host. she gave a great rundown on the restaurants in Ashville and recommended a great place for breakfast as we were headed out of town. The place was just as expected, very comfortable and private. The street is so charming

  • We had an amazing time in Asheville, and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Heather was an amazing host, and the house was adorable, not to mention incredibly convenient yet in a perfectly picturesque setting. A lovely place to stay!

    Camilo2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • For being new to Airbnb, I was a bit nervous with selecting a place to stay in a city I'm not familiar with.. But Heather's place was just perfect. It was just close enough to Asheville and yet far enough to have a quiet, peaceful getaway in the woods. The river sounds on the front porch was so relaxing. I would recommend staying here!

    Shelby2016-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse studio was wonderful. It was beautiful, scenic, and cozy. It was conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown. Heather was kind and helpful, and even let us take home a yummy rosemary salt she made herself! Would totally stay here again.

    Alison2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Your studio was just as the pictures show. We enjoyed our stay and the many items you left to help us make plans for things to do. Although we never met we stayed busy and we were exhausted every night as we came in and fell into bed. Thank you for sharing your home.

Enjoy this small quiet room in renovated basement next to a full bathroom. If the room next to you is unoccupied you will have the whole floor to yourself! Convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge parkway, a good coffee or beer is just minutes away in downtown Weaverville. My home is lovely, uncluttered and tucked away on a hill. You are free to use all its amenities.
Short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. easy 10 min drive to downtown Asheville. Walking distance to downtown Weaverville with cafés and breweries. If you're looking for peace and quiet near the activity of the city, this is the place for you. I have a small friendly dog who barks only occasionally.
Walkable downtown Weaverville is a two minute drive. There you will find a buzzing Main Street with an award-winning European bakery and salon. Great restaurants, pizza, wine, and a brewery.
  • Clean and simple, but that's all I needed. I only stayed one night before my drive back to Chicago, didn't see anyone else, but I believe that there are other AirBnB people staying there as well.

Welcome to my home in Weaverville, NC! It is located on an acre of land filled with gardens that I have lovingly developed over the past four years and bordered by woodlands. Your main area is a beautiful suite on the second floor.
The second floor suite is all yours and includes a bedroom with a queen size bed and a small sitting area, your private bath, and an office/sitting room that's perfect for a business traveler or simply a place to set up your laptop. This room has a single sleeper sofa to accommodate a third quest.
My home is located just five minutes from charming downtown Weaverville with its Main Street filled with a wide range of restaurants, art galleries and other shops. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is only 20 minutes away, and it's a short 15-minutes drive to downtown Asheville.
  • Pat has a lovely home the upstairs is used as the private guest area. Everything was clean, neat and had thought put into it in order to make the stay very accommodating. The area was quiet and secluded but close to downtown Asheville as well. Pat shared information about places to eat and the inside scoop on menu choices (Mountain Eclairs are in my future). I'll definitely want to return!

    Beth2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • I have used Airbnb several times, in many different cities, but my stay at Pat's was the best I've ever had. The charming house sits on a breathtaking property with huge trees and a wide variety of flowers, and has a deck where you can enjoy your breakfast or just the beautiful mountain air. The inside is spacious and very clean. Pat is a very kind host. Upon meeting her, she immediately gives you a tour and access to most of her house and deck. She asked my sister and I if she should make extra coffee for us each day, and kindly offered us croissants each morning. She also suggested local restaurants and events happening in the area during our stay. Pat goes above and beyond to make sure you feel at home, and have a wonderful stay. She has an overall positive attitude and her adorable cat is just an added bonus. You will not regret staying here, and you'll find yourself wishing you could stay one more night.

  • Very comfy and relaxing.

  • The stay was pleasant, clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. We were very satisfied with our first experience with Airb&b. Pat was friendly & gracious.

  • Pats place is super clean and very comfortable. Bed and bathroom were great. Loved having coffee on pats beautiful back deck ... awesome landscaping and very peaceful. Her place is very accessible to Asheville and other places of interest. She knows the area well and can give you as much info as you desire.

  • Pats place was charming, very clean, comfortable bed, beautiful gardens and very close to town. We enjoyed our stay!

  • This location is exactly as posted. Pat is an awesome host, and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is pleasurable. Weaverville is a lovely small town and Pat knows it well. One of her recomendations was the Well Bred Bakery and it was outstanding!

Our place is 1 block from downtown Weaverville and within a very short walk of all its offerings.
New, cozy, clean and comfortable apartment 1 block off Main Street with all of it's wonderfull restaurants, art galleries, shops and more. The studio is private with it's own entrance and parking. It is conveniently located within minutes of Asheville.
All downtown businesses walkable. Really. 2 minute walk. No joke
  • We cannot recommend this stay enough! Everything about it is restful. We couldn't believe how clean and fresh the apartment is, as well as perfectly spacious and decorated. It is as pictured but better in person. Coffee is provided which made for a nice, slow morning, topped off with a 2 minute walk into town for some breakfast at the bakery. Both the town and apartment beckon you to settle in and stay a while - we only wish we could've stayed here longer! We're officially charmed.

    Liz2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying at Chris and Jessie's airbnb. Self check in and check out was easy. Super comfortable loft style place with everything accommodated for a short stay. Off street parking. Restaurants within walking distance. Hosts replied to questions fast. Can't say enough good things about my short stay. Thank you for hosting me!

    emily2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location was walkable to the downtown area. We were able to grab dinner and breakfast all weekend by walking 5 minutes to town. It is a quaint room with just enough space. Great backyard for the dog to stretch her legs out and run. Would happily come again.

    Jason2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! So much value for the price. This place is great for people that are staying a bit longer and need more of an "apartment". The place is literally a 4 minute walk to the cute Weaverville downtown area with some shops and restaurants. There are 2 parks within walking distance if you want to get out and walk outside and be in nature. Also, it's a 15-20 minute minute drive to get up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and then an easy 15-20 minute drive into downtown Asheville(URL HIDDEN) We only talked to Jessie for a minute when we arrived but she was super nice and made sure we knew to reach out if we needed anything. She was also super responsive before the trip, answering questions we had within 30 minutes. The entire place is decorated so well. It feels so cozy and homey. They have a full fridge, a microwave, a huge coffee maker and a mini oven/stove in the kitchen, as well as plenty of plates, cups and silverware. The bathroom is beautiful. They have a beautiful shower with a stone wall. They provided towels and wash cloths for us. They do have a water heater in the bathroom that kicks on when you turn the hot water on and when we hadn't used the water in a while, it would take a minute or 2 for the water to heat up, but that's normal for most places. The bed was comfy. They had curtains for the windows, and for someone that has to have it pitch black to sleep, that's a nice touch! They have a comfy couch and a TV with lots of channels and some movie channels and I think even Netflix. (We only had time to sit down for 30 minutes to watch TV so I didn't pay too much attention.) They also have a closet that has a lot of space to hang clothes and even provided some hangers if you would need extras.

  • This is a well-appointed space within walking distance from downtown Weaverville (go eat all the things at Well-Bred bakery). It is also a quick drive from Asheville. The space was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in/out was simple. We would stay here again!

    Alison2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this space! It is very private and cozy! The little loft was perfect for what we needed. We loved having a refrigerator for left overs and we loved that downtown Asheville was just a quick 10 minute drive away. Chris and Jessie were awesomely quick to respond to any questions we had and offered some really cool hiking suggestions. We would absolutely return here without hesitation.

    Robin2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place for home base! It's just as described and we were very comfortable. It's an easy walk to several restaurants and not far to drive for a grocery. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare an easy meal. Even though this is located in town it was very quiet and we slept well!! Would absolutely visit again!!

  • Air BnB was perfect for a getaway for a weekend or just a night. Uber was just 15 dollars to downtown Asheville. Weaversville is a beautiful litttle town that is quiet and close if you like to sleep in.

Charming, quiet, cottage! Walking distance to downtown Weaverville's restaurants and shops also minutes to Asheville. The barn was completely restored to brand new with vintage accents and modern amenities. Perfect for couples and your pet (Approval required and $50 non-refundable pet fee). Cottage provides a kitchen, full bath with shower, A/C and Heat, wireless and a patio area to sit and enjoy. There is also a park/trail nearby for walking your dog. Cottage is behind my home, but is private!
Great walking neighborhood, close to downtown Weaverville
  • Very cute and clean! We would definitely stay here again!

  • Mark's cottage is nothing short of amazing! It's cozy, clean, and very well decorated with all the amenities you could need. His beautiful art is also featured throughout the cottage. He was so very helpful in helping us newcomers figure out the city with his recommendations. However, he offers his guests privacy/space and doesn't intrude in any way. There's a few great restaurants within short walking distance (literally right around the corner). The neighborhood is peaceful and homey feeling. It's a short drive from Asheville, but offers more of a comfy and peaceful feeling in Weaverville. For anyone looking to stay in Asheville, I would highly recommend doing yourself a favor and booking here! You will not be disappointed. Thanks again Mark!

  • This place is so close to everything but feels like a million miles away--so, a great getaway. Best stay I've had at an airbnb.

    Mariah2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great secluded place in Weaverville. When you arrive and see this barn house, it's the perfect couple getaway place. The house is decorated in upscale modern and artsy pieces. It's really quiet and there's horses in the back yard. Worth staying.

    Alex2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's Barn was perfect for our weekend getaway. The space was beautifully decorated and very clean. Location is walking distance to Weaverville and short drive or cab to Asheville. Mark is a great host and we look forward to our next stay.

    Michael2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really well decorated cozy place a very short walk to downtown Weaverville and a 15 minute Uber/drive to downtown Asheville. Mark was a great host who was available but not at all intrusive. We were able to make food in the kitchen easily and there were grocery stores no more than a mile away but if we wanted to eat there were restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

    Jeffrey2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was great - exactly what we needed and within close proximity to downtown Weaverville and a short drive to Asheville. Would recommend.

    Ryan2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mark’s barn is by far my favorite Airbnb stay to date. The photos really don’t do it justice and the location is perfect for downtown Weaverville and Asheville. Mark was quick to answer texts and everything in the house manual was very clear. It was he perfect private and cozy get away! My only suggestion is to bring a pair of bedroom shoes or socks — the beautiful concrete floor gets cold. We can’t wait to visit the area again and hopefully stay at Mark’s barn!

  • This cottage is the perfect location for peace & quiet, walking to nice restaurants, coffee & shops. The town & cottage are a great balance with beer filled trips to Asheville or outdoor activities in the beautiful mountains.

    Shellie2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great cottage. We loved it so much. It is close to everything but allowed us to have our quiet time as well. The home is so tastefully done but not over the top that you feel u can't be comfortable. It was so perfect for us to relax in. I can not think of one thing that we needed that was not there. Parking was so easy which made it nice as well. Jessica and Brian were the perfect host in everywhere from communications to where to go and what to see. My wife and I are already thinking about our next stay here. Can't wait.

    Kevin2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Jessica's cottage is so perfect for a trip to Weaverville or Asheville. The most affordable and adorable option you will find!

    Holly2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was the cutest little spot. Perfect for 2, but everything you needed to accommodate some kiddos as well! The cottage was very well thought out and well kept. Lots pf windows and natural light. not too much "stuff" in the small space. There was nothing that we needed that it didn't provide, and then some! The only thing I might say is if you want to cook here, and like more than Salt and pepper for seasoning, maybe bring some spices along. That's one of those things you just don't think about :) and sometimes the wifi got a little spotty. Brian and Jessica were so friendly and available, and left us some local brews in the fridge! It's within walking distance to the little main street that had so many yummy food and drink options, and it's in a great neighborhood. We would love to go back!

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION TO MAKE SURE IT IS A GOOD MATCH! NOTE: Base price is for 1 guest. Please use the accurate number of guests when you book. Friendly to people with allergies! 10 to 15 min / 8 miles to heart of downtown Asheville and easy access to interstate. Wonderfully private. Pictures are of the area you have access to. You will need transportation to get around.
    - 8 miles to downtown Asheville and half way between North Asheville and downtown Weaverville. - Your space: private suite and a large hangout area and kitchenette (NO STOVE). I will not be spending any time there but might need to access my storage area. - Due to allergies, all cleaning supplies are unscented (they have essential oils) and non-toxic as much as possible and large HEPA filters clean the air. Products used: Laundry: Ecos Plus Lavender and unscented OxiClean for stains. Cleaning supplies: Multi-purpose Cleaner Cedarwood &Sage from Trader Joes, vinegar and water, Bon Ami and SoftScrub Oxi unscented. Diatomaceous Earth, Boric Acid and Essential Oils for bug control. I am open to adjust what I use before you come if you have a specific allergy.
We are located in a quiet neighborhood (it is still "a neighborhood" and there is occasional noise), surrounded by forest yet very close to Asheville and the towns around it. You can feel like you are far from everything but could be just minutes away from a gourmet restaurant, coffee shops, Trader Joe's or the Parkway. Although you could walk to a grocery store and a chain pizza place there is a steep hill coming back to the house and no sidewalks - so understand that ours is not the type of neighborhood where you can walk to a quaint downtown or the upscale eateries in downtown Asheville. Most cool places are a short drive a way.
  • Mimi's was close enough to downtown but far enough to enjoy a relaxing weekend. She left great instructions and was there if we had any questions. Would absolutely stay again!

    Megan2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This space was just perfect! It was extremely clean, exactly as described in the listing, and wonderfully quiet and peaceful while being close to everything we needed. Mimi was so accommodating and responsive to any question or need that we had. Highly recommend and will be back next time we're headed that direction.

    Kim2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and could not have been better. Mimi was a fantastic host and very accommodating. She worked with us on our check in time and was even kind enough to check if the temperature was good for us. She even put some welcoming snacks in the space for us while we were there. The space was perfect for us as well. It was a very large sitting area with everything you would need for your stay. The bedroom and bath are exactly as the pictures show if not better. The room is located on the bottom level of the house with its own access which was perfect for us. It was up the hill just a bit and had beautiful views of forest. It was located very close to town and only took about 10 minutes to get where we wanted to go. We also took Uber twice while there and it only cost $15-$20. Based on our experience I would recommend this Airbnb and Mimi to anyone!

    Ashlee2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi has a lovely large for very and comfortable clean space. Although there is no TV she has a great selection of DVD which we made use of several evenings. Wifi works flawlessly. The description and pictures are accurate. It is easy to find and very easy point to explore the Asheville and surrounding area. It is comfortable very well supplied and equipped not only with coffee, convection/ microwave, refrigerator, dishes etc. Even tasty candy kisses and a good supply of pamphlets highlighting places to visit and eat. Mimi is a very personable lady checking in and out was a dream. She checked to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. Great space great host location at a reasonable price.

    Arnold2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The space is great - plenty of room for two people to enjoy a relaxing short or long stay in Asheville! The location was very easy to access and was within a 10 minute drive of downtown. Mimi was a great host - she was very responsive and welcoming! Overall, we had a great experience and thought Mimi's Airbnb was a great deal!

  • Great area and value! Mimi was a great host and very responsive!

    Tony2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi is friendly and great with communication. We had a great stay and no questions or issues during our trip! Would recommend staying here any time!

    Kathleen2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, close to restaurants and any popular sites or stores. The neighborhood was quiet and tucked away from the road with a grocery store right down the street for convenience. Everything was clean and comfortable, with snacks, teas, coffee, and a microwave/oven for any cooking needs. The bed and shower were so delicious and easily our favorite part. We woke up every day feeling rested and relaxed. A tv is provided with movie selections for nights in and although we were comfortable the whole time, Mimi was available for any needs or questions. We didn't have any interruptions except for the occasional footsteps above but that's expected, and I would recommend leaving the light on for the driveway if you're coming back after dark. We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a simple getaway and great value.

sanc·tu·ar·y a place of refuge or safety: oasis, retreat, hideaway I am Serenity, your Sanctuary in the trees. How did I come to be on the mountain top with the most beautiful of views? • Wonderful getaway property!! Booked 2 nights after finding this unique listing and was extremely pleased. Well-appointed treehouse provides peaceful retreat, while close enough to town for those wanting to explore the Asheville area. Only regret is not planning for a longer stay!

  • When I turned the corner and saw the treehouse in the tree it was even prettier in person. I had my girlfriend blindfolded and had parked right out front and stood there with our luggage in my hands when she removed the blind fold. The directions were all spot on and answered any questions we had. We brought food and cooked on the electric grill on the patio. Drank wine on the deck in the evening and coffee in the morning with an amazing view of the mountains. When you stay check the memory book(URL HIDDEN)Jessica & Dyla(URL HIDDEN) Ft. Lauderdale Also we saw a bear track and 3 long beards on the way down the mountain.

    Dylan2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The description and pictures of the home are spot on! Such a wonderful place to vacation and unwind!

    Regina2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse was absolutely perfect for our trip to Asheville. It was conveniently located. We could be into Asheville within 10-15 minutes. The features and details inside the house are impeccable. The wifi could be finicky when we were both on but ultimately was serviceable. As this is a recent build and the neighborhood is in the process of being developed the driveway was a little hard to navigate in a sedan. A taller car would have been better. This was truly a unique experience. We enjoyed waking up in and coming back to this place every day of our trip.

    Ashley2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was absolutely perfect. The house was secluded enough to relax and have a quiet stay, but close enough to downtown Asheville to experience everything it had to offer. The host provided everything we needed and more, including great recommendations for dinner. I wish we could have stayed longer but we cannot wait to go back.

  • What a cool little town weaverville is! This place is in a great location, walking distance to mail street. What a great front porch too! I would recommend this house to anyone. Its also only a 10 minute ride to downtown asheville.

  • This place was absolutely perfect. We were there for a wedding and it had everything we needed at the house. We sat out on the deck at night and had a great time. Several places to eat and hangout were walking distance. The House was clean and better that what it looked like in the pictures. We left some items there and Judy was so awesome and mailed it back to us. Like I said...Absolutely perfect!!!

  • We had a great girls' weekend in Weaverville. The town is so cute and quaint - much more relaxing than Asheville, but still just a 15 min ($25 Uber - no issues getting one) car ride away. We cooked in the kitchen and loved all the appliances. The house is spacious and good for a group, with two dining tables (one inside, one on the porch), three full baths with showers only, and two sitting areas. Wifi is strong throughout the house if you need to get some work done. Parking in back fits 3-4 cars.

  • Had a great stay at this beautiful location. Bruce was very hospitable and we loved seeing his art throughout the house.

  • Bruce is an amazing host. Beautiful home with amazing views. Perfect location outside of Asheville, yet close enough to all it has to offer. Comfortable bed, awesome bathroom. Will definitely book with Bruce again.

    John2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce was very helpful in setting up all aspects of my stay. He met me upon arrival and showed me around. His home is beautiful and a great location for spending time in Weaverville. The rooms were spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful extras like hairdryer, and guides to local attractions. The bed was comfy. I had to ask Bruce to be quiet the first night of my stay when he arrived home late with company, his company immediately left and everything was quiet thereafter, but the noise did wake me up. His living room, with wooden floors, is directly over the bedroom and the sound carries quite a bit. He apologized when I saw him next but I probably wouldn't stay here again because I was in town for business and was unhappy about having been waked up. Everything else was fine.

    Patricia2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's beautiful art covers the walls, and the room was extremely comfortable due to lots of natural light and a luxurious bed. The view from the porch was the highlight -- rolling green hills, forest and mountains. Robert gave us a couple of recommendations for hiking and bars/lounges, and generously offers coffee in the morning. Plus, his dog is the sweetest!

    Nagi2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce's place is beautiful and in such a quaint little town. Perfect distance from Asheville if you're not a "wake up in the city" person. He was a wonderful host, offering suggestions of what to do and where to go. Watching the sunrise from his patio was beautiful and oh so peaceful.

    Kari2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have enjoyed our stay any more! Bruce was friendly, down to Earth and great to talk with. Our room was comfortable and private, the paint & decor neutral & I loved his personal art throughout the house. Bruce's house was very clean and the neighborhood quiet & equally clean. The view from the back porch is amazing!

    Cassie2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Roberts place was perfect for a cozy getaway with amazing views off his back porch. He was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating even giving us coffee in the morning. Great recommendations for Asheville and Weaverville to do's as well. Dog is extremely friendly :) highly recommend!

    tegan2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce's place is great. He was a very responsive and friendly host. The bedroom is exactly as depicted - plenty of light, large closet, and very clean. The extra room (separate TV room right next to the bedroom) is also a great plus. The bathroom is also great - clean, large, well equipped - and located on the same corridor that connects all the downstairs rooms (the corridor floor is stone so I highly suggest bringing slippers for walking around!). Somehow I though there was also a separate kitchen downstairs that was included in the post, but I was mistaken. I ended up bringing a bunch of groceries to Bruce's place and he was very gracious in letting me store them in his fridge and also cook a big pot or soup. Overall a great stay. Thanks Bruce!

This home is within 15 min of Asheville and 5 min of downtown Weaverville. It is handicap accessible throughout the main level. Fully stocked with linens, towels and all kitchen needs. Private even though we live next door.
Main level is fully handicap accessible, from the ramp at the entrance to cooking in the kitchen to taking a shower or doing laundry. This arts and crafts style home has all hardwood and tile floors on the main level with the master bedroom, bath and laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and pots and pans for all of your cooking needs. The gas fireplace is custom designed by a local artist and in the winter provides enough heat for the entire home. The 2nd level has two generous size bedrooms who share a jack and jill bathroom, each with their own toilet and sink and share a shower space. There are two desk areas in the home, one on each floor. This is a very quiet neighborhood that appears you are living in a park, rather than a small subdivision. This house sits on over an acre with the home of the owner. Shopping is 2-3 minutes away, grocery, liquor, drug store, several restaurants, retail shopping, art galleries and much more. Ziplining is just up the highway and Biltmore estate is south of us less than 15 miles away. Skiing is just north of us at Wolf Ridge. Several local cab company's service the area. I live next door and can assist you with most of your questions. I will provide light grocery shopping and dog walking for a fee. My mother is a REALTOR and has a large network of people at her finger tips. If I can't answer a question or help you with your travel plans, she will be able to for sure! We are collectors of local art, crafts and antiques and can assist you with the best places to shop and add to your collections. We aren't hikers but have information as to the best places to go and who to talk to about out door activities. Asheville hosts over 300 independent restaurants and we can give you a guide to help you choose the best places to dine, many within 5-10 min of here. We keep a variety of maps, events and things to do at the house. This will save you a trip to the local visitors center. It is like having your own private concierge! We look forward to hosting you on your next trip to Western North Carolina. We have added a Graco portable crib for guests traveling with infants. It is stored in one of the bedroom closets for your use. We also have two high chairs for your use. Access to the full house and the yard, the swing set, the fire pit, the entertaining areas and places for dogs to walk. They have access to the porch off of the front of their house also with a table for out door seating. If we are home, we sometimes see them as we are going back and forth to their cars, otherwise we never see each other. We text each other if issues arise. We will not stop by unless you invite us! We like to honor your privacy while you are there. Small private subdivision. Close to everything as far as shopping, PO, restaurants, grocery but yet you feel like you are out in the country. The neighbors are almost invisible due to the trees that we planted surrounding our property. On leasing, this is first come first serve for the space. We have held time frames open for guests in the past and then end up losing another paying guest. It is a business and we will rent the space to the first person who qualifies and will no longer hold a space open while someone makes a decision! From the airport it is almost a straight shot to the house. 26 miles door to door, highway I-26 West from the airport to our exit 18 Monticello road, then turn left, go across the bridge, take the first right on Ayers Rd, to Songbird lane on the right and then the third house on the right and you are there. Takes about 20-25 min depending on the traffic. If you have any special events happening and would like something waiting for you, we can offer that assistance to you. If we are in town prior to your stay, we try to leave you a welcome surprise upon arrival! If you need an earlier check in or a later check out, let us know. IF we don't have another guest close to your date, we will work with you on that. We are on well water with a full filtration system, if you are used to city water that has flouride in it, some people are not used to pure well water and may want to get bottled water to drink. We get our water tested on a regular basis, so it is probably safer than most city tap water! We have had issues with too many cars in the past so we are limiting guests to three cars, no exceptions, this is a home, not a parking lot and we can't have these cars all over the driveway and the yard. If you have a one day event, please let us know but there cannot be a continuous stream of cars all over the property.
It is a small neighborhood, great for walking yourself or you and your dog. Everyone knows each other, there are only 8 houses so it is safe and quiet. We also have easy access to the highway and downtown Weaverville. Grocery stores, Wal Mart, gas stations, all within 5 minutes of the house.
  • Absolutely love this house. Had a wonderful stay, as always. We will be back soon!

    michelle2014-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying in the Arts & Crafts home. It was beautiful. Everything in the home is custom designed! We felt so comfortable and Cattlin and her mom were so helpful. We have a baby and they purchased a new pack-n-play for us so that our infant would have somewhere to sleep. It was so generous of them. The house is well equipped with all necessities. The rooms are a good size and all the beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean and the kitchen was great to cook in. The back porch is very relaxing. We even built a in built in fire pit. What a wonderful vacation we had. Asheville was a quick 15 minutes trip down the highway. The town of Weaverville is quaint too. We went to a great bakery called Well Bread and an Asian Restaurant called Soba. They were excellent. Thank you so much Cattlin and mom!! :)

  • Fabulous place! A little north of downtown Asheville, this was the best deal for sure in the area. plenty of room, love the place with a big kitchen and Two King beds!!! A third Bedroom we didn't need would make this perfect for almost any size get together. Two porches, one with plenty of room to eat and relax on, peaceful, serene and close to downtown, it was perfect! Our hosts Diane and Cattlin were a pleasure to meet and easy to work on details with, it couldn't have been a better experience. Grocery store 5 minutes away and everything else you would need close by. I will be back!

  • The arts and crafts home in Weaverville is a lovely place from which to explore the Asheville and Great Smoky Mountain Region. I was in the area for a friend's wedding, and it was great to have such a comfortable and spacious "home base". Weaverville is a cute town quite close to Asheville, with charming coffee shops and restaurants of its own. Cattlin was very helpful in giving us directions and everything was just as described in the posting (the photos don't do the decor justice -- the house is gorgeous!). There is plenty of outdoor space (a lovely back deck and yard) and ample parking (we had two rental cars for our group). I look forward to another trip to Asheville, and will definitely stay at Cattlin's place again.

  • Great place that is very close to Asheville, NC. Accommodations are very nice and clean. Enjoyed our weekend stay here. Would definitely recommend highly!

    Adarsh2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cattlin was a great host. We did not see her but she was easy to reach with any questions and offered helpful information about how we could make our stay even more enjoyable. Our dog, Joe, was very well accommodated for, too. The home is very private and cozy and well equipped for cooking nice meals, enjoying sitting by the fire, and taking walks. It only took us 10 minutes to get to Asheville, yet we felt secluded in our country home.

    Laura2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Every detail was covered. Spacious and relaxing. Beautiful home with thoughtful touches throughout. Coloring books for the kids and the bottle of wine made us feel very welcome.

Studio apartment, private entrance, southern light, hardwood and tile floors. Kitchenette with range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, crock pot and more. The mattress is a comfort select. Lovely linens. Room darkening curtains. Eco/green friendly maintained. Queen Comfort Select with topper : very comfortable.
The space is really beautiful. The studio apartment is twelve minutes from Asheville and a short walk or ride to many wonderful amenities in downtown Weaverville: Creperie, Well-Bred Cafe, All Good Coffee, Blue Mt Pizza, Main Street Grill, Soba, Ingles (a market with many organic products), Tailgate market. The neighborhood is very quiet. Drive up Hamburg Drive for 360 degree view and wonderful sunsets. Twelve minutes to the Pisgah forest or zip lining. Eco products used for cleaning. Reverse osmosis water for drinking. Whole house filter for tap and shower water. Perfect for a sensitive being.
It is a sweet, quiet, dead end street with a variety of houses. Very convenient to Weaverville and Asheville, the Pisgah Forest, Wolf Laurel Ski Center. Easy access to good food, music and theater along with lots of hiking and nature walks.
  • Wonderful place! Clean, cozy, and quiet. In a scenic, peaceful neighborhood but just a short walk from the shops and restaurants in downtown Weaverville. Easy to get to Asheville or up into the mountains from there. Would absolutely recommend.

  • What a wonderful studio apartment.

    Robert2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the room for my actor while we shot around town. He loved the closeness of everything and Davida was very quick with responding to any of my questions.

    Niko2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what we needed for the weekend. Davida welcomed us when we arrived even though it was late at night and she made sure we had and knew everything we needed. The room had everything you would want from a hotel room plus more because there was a full fridge and stove. If we came to Asheville again this would be our room!

    Michael2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • First, Davida's place is located in a lovely neighborhood in Weaverville: walking distance to shops, coffee, and restaurants, and an easy 15-minute drive to anything you want to do in downtown Asheville. Davida herself obviously cares about her guests and made welcome suggestions for our visit. However, this "studio" consists of a bedroom with an electric stove and a big bathroom with a refrigerator and other kitchen amenities within the bathroom. It was a strange setup to have the refrigerator right next to the toilet, and this certainly limited our desire to put food in the fridge. Additionally, on the day of our check-in, I had still not received check-in information, including key code, from Davida. Despite two followup emails from me, I did not hear from Davida. I called her around 6:30pm and was finally able to get a hold of her. I would have appreciated her being more responsive on the day of our checkin. However, she was welcoming, kind, and receptive once we were actually there. For the price and distance from Asheville, I don't think this place is worth it.

    Carrie2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect for a weekend getaway. Wonderful host and fabulous little town.

    Michele2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Davida was a great host! Her house is lovely, and it was great to have a private space with a kitchen area for our 3-night stay. Davida gave us some helpful suggestions for shops and restaurants in the area. Downtown Weaverville is small but cute, and you can walk to it easily from her place. Ingles is convenient for groceries, and Asheville is a few minutes' drive away. Overall, our experience was great, but I did want to mention two potential negatives. One is that the space is connected to Davida's house, so sound does travel. Although not a big deal for us, it could be if you need total peace and quiet during the day. We also found the bed, which is an airbed, a little uncomfortable. Again, not a huge deal, but we would have preferred a real mattress.

    Joshua2016-07-06T00:00:00Z

First floor suite of a private secluded home situated on 2 acres on an elevated plot near Weaverville. We call it the "Hideaway on Hidden Falls Dr." The suite consists of a separate bedroom with a private bath(shower stall no tub). There is a full TV room with a couch and 2 recliners . There is a separate refreshment room with microwave, toaster, mini fridge/freezer and a Keurig . All are welcome and we are "gay friendly". Please no smoking, children or pets.

Local attractions such as Biltmore Estate, local craft breweries, downtown restaurants and Asheville proper are very close by. Minutes away is the Blue Grass Hwy and the Mt. Pisgah inn.
Neighborhood is quiet with few homes on Hidden Falls
  • Nice bright space, tons of towels, comfy bed, Bob gave us a great rundown of the place when we arrived. Loved our time at the hideaway!

    Vera2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Bob's place for two nights. Bob was very welcoming, communicative, and even made efforts to enable us to check in early, as soon as the place was ready. We slept very soundly on what I think is the most comfortable mattress I've ever encountered. The apartment was very clean and incredibly spacious and comfortable. Loved sitting outside watching the fireflies at night. Many thanks to Bob for hosting us.

  • We were in the Asheville area for both work and pleasure. Our wonderful accommodations helped us get our work done and then were a great part of our having fun. We loved how quiet our suite of rooms was, and how extensive the selection of coffees, teas, yogurts, cereals, ice cream (!) were. Comfy bed. Lovely private secluded deck. Wild turkeys and Simba the cat for company. • Linda was very helpful with directions to her house and also gave us a lot of useful information of different hiking trails around the area. The room was beautiful and the land was fantastic. It was everything we were looking to find for our weekend get away.

  • Linda and her husband were very nice people. They provided us with everything we needed: towels, hygiene products, breakfast and snacks. Their house is an absolutely beautiful place in the middle of the woods. The room had a private entrance and private deck and it was newly renovated. We will absolutely book with Linda again. Great hospitality!

  • Everything was clean, comfortable and homey. Enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys. Appreciated the breakfast items, snacks and coffee selection. Kerry was there to greet us and was available if needed. Very hospitable environment.

  • One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had to date. Linda was extremely gracious and welcoming upon our arrival. She provided resources for us in the room to help us navigate Asheville and the surrounding areas which was greatly appreciated and utilized. The room was beautiful, spacious, and the deck was such a peaceful place to spend the mornings and evenings. Coffee and breakfast items were provided which made for a very accommodating and comfortable stay. Not to mention, the bed was glorious! I got such a great nights sleep while staying at Linda's. The location was perfect, just close enough to Asheville but far enough away to enjoy the serenity. I can't thank Linda for her hospitality enough. She is the definition of what a true Airbnb host should be and the degree to which I believe is expected by all. What a wonderful, wonderful stay!!!

Private, very cozy two bedroom, one full bath apartment with kitchen, comfy living room and your own private entrance. Great house on one lane gravel road in a quiet neighborhood. Sit on the rocking chairs on the back patio and sip your morning coffee or watch the sunset in the evening. We are located ten minutes from Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway. The Bilmore Estate is approximately 20 minutes.
Private, two bedroom with one full bathroom, both bedrooms have full size beds and well furnished. Kitchen is well equipped and living room is very comfortable. Patio entrance with beautiful sunset views, on a very large wooded lot. Carport parking with enough room for 2 cars.
We live in a very small neighborhood on a one lane gravel road, just 3 minutes from downtown Weaverville. Weaverville is a great place to eat and wander the shops from wines to antiques. We are just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway
  • We stayed at Mike and Kathy's place for three nights during our mini-vacation in the Asheville area and had a wonderful time. The place was impeccably clean and well-equipped--we had everything we needed. They even left some snacks, juice and water in the kitchen for us. The coffee maker and coffee they provided made it for pleasant mornings. It was a comfortable place to stay for our family of four. A 15 minute easy drive to downtown Asheville and close to other attractions in the area. Mike and Kathy are really nice hosts. When I found out that I forgot the Biltmore tickets at home and asked Mike if he could print them out for me, he didn't hesitate and saved the day for us. I highly recommend them if you need a place near Asheville.

  • Great stay! Easygoing, clean anc comfortable

    Javier2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were wonderful--so clean and comfortable! Michael and Kathy really went above and beyond to include little touches to make us feel very welcome. The neighborhood was very quiet, and having our own carport to use was a huge bonus! There was a lovely outdoor seating area with a roof that would be lovely in warmer weather. Everything was wonderful, from check in to check out, and I would definitely stay here again if I am in the greater Asheville area. Check it out--you won't be disappointed!

    Will2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Kathy are wonderful hosts. The space is a perfect two bedroom with open kitchen and living room. My family of four had plenty of space. The apartment is on the bottom level of Mike and Kathy's home - however the setup left us feeling like we were in our own private mountain cabin. Completely separate entrance, great covered outdoor space with table and rocking chairs that looks out at a large backyard space and forest. The town of Weaverville is has a cool little main strip with an awesome pizza joint, incredible bakery and even better Brewery. We will be back, and hopefully Mike and Kathy have an availability.

    John2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mike place is awesome, nice and clean plus surrounding with the nature. We had a good time during the stay. The place is few minutes away from Asheville. We also enjoyed the small town there. Good local coffee shop, Well-Bred there. We would come back.

Full amenities in the kitchen with complimentary teas and coffee . There are beautiful live plants, unique art and a great tub to soak away your day of play or relaxation. Sit on my front porch and look at the birds that play in the yard and bask in the beauty of our relaxing beautiful mountains. • We selected Kristen's house for our annual "sister's retreat" and our first airbnb rental. We were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The location was safe and ideal for us, with great little restaurants and shops close by. The yard and house were charming and cozy. There were 3 of us, and we all slept comfortably. We enjoyed the front porch in the mornings and evenings with the view of the beautiful sunflowers and mountains in the distance. The open living/dining/kitchen area was perfect for us to talk, play games, and eat. We felt so at home (so much better than a hotel) and would definitely recommend Kristen's house for a stay in the Asheville area.

    Jane2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived late at night and the house was not hard to find. The porch lights were left on for us as well as some interior lights, which was kind and welcoming. Everything we needed was there for us and Kristen was wonderfully communicative and quick to respond! The space was very homey and made us feel like locals. We spent most of our time out of the house but the fire pit in the backyard promised a good time if the weather had been colder, and the front porch was a lovely spot to welcome the morning sun peeking over the mountains. The house is less than 15min from downtown Asheville and an easy commute. Everything was wonderful, thank you for sharing your home with us!

    Dana2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very cozy and accommodating. We had no issues and everything was great. Weaverville is a charming little town just a short drive from Asheville. We tried a few restaurants in town, definitely check out the Creperie! It was a great place to grab breakfast and a good cup of tea or coffee. The stay was very private and Kristen was not intrusive, but she did make sure we were taken care of and had a way to communicate if needed.

    Brandon2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen communicated very well with us and made us feel welcome. She even checked in to make sure we arrived with no issues. She offered to provided any extra advice or help to make our stay wonderful and went out of her way to provide some chocolate covered strawberries which were delicious. I certainly recommend staying here to any one looking to relax and visit Asheville.

    Jason2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • I went to Kristen's house with a friend. The house was perfectly set for us in all senses from the very beginning: beautiful front garden, clean house, nice welcome message, all necesary stuff available and at our disposal. Simply perfect. If I had to go back again to Asheville I would definetively go there. We rented a car at the airport and it worked for us well. I did not remember such quiet nights and loved sitting out on the porch during evenings.

    Adela2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • After our long drive we thought we would have a difficult time finding Kristen's house in the dark, but her friend Susan thoughtfully left porch and side lights on, welcoming us like long lost family. After getting our bearings inside, my husband and I made cups of tea from Kristen's extensive variety and sat in the backyard. It was so peaceful looking at the full moon, smelling the 4 o'clocks and listening to the night sounds. A great beginning for our weekend. Kristen's house is serene and cozy, and has everything one could wish for in a stay. We took advantage of her hiking books and spent an enjoyable day exploring local water falls. The location is fantastic! We were able to walk to town, which made it so convenient. I loved her bathroom: it reminded me of the seashore! She painted the ceiling to look like the sky and the walls were the sand. Oh, and the rain shower head was awesome! Kristen and her friend responded promptly with any questions we had before and during our stay.

    Susan2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Kristen's Weaverville cottage. It was close to downtown Weaverville and only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Asheville. The atmosphere was very relaxing. She was an excellent host and her quick response to questions was wonderful and appreciated. We were I town for a wedding so things were hectic at times but when we were at the cottage the atmosphere made it seem like time slowed down and we were able to recover a little! I would recommend her and her cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Includes a spacious living room area with 2 bedrooms and full bathroom. This is our home that we live in. The area of the house you first pull up to is the side we live and play. There may be toys, gardening equipment, etc.....don't be alarmed :) The other side of the house, where you will be, is very tidy and private. We look forward to meeting you!
This is the basement of the home we live in. It is a walkout basement that is open to a private part of the yard for you to enjoy. Please note that you have to go through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom and currently one of the bedrooms does not have a door. It is still private and you cannot see the bed from the living area or the other bedroom.
  • My husband and I had a great stay at April's this past weekend! The basement apartment was clean, thoughtfully put together, and just as presented in the listing. They are located right down the street from downtown Weaverville and had a great suggestion for breakfast the next day (Well-Bred Bakery and Cafe, which we would also highly recommend)! We appreciated the motion detecting lights at night and the private entrance that we could lock. They also had a selection of movies and board games available for our use. We would definitely recommend this listing!

  • We absolutely loved the Bike House. Our hosts made sure we were comfortable and it was a treat to sit on the screened-in back porch and watch the fireflies at night. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and it was a great location to explore Asheville.

    Virna2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a refreshing private get away that isn't too secluded from a small downtown atmosphere, Tycers place is just what you are looking for. This place is very clean, private, accommodating, and the perfect get away for couples and small families. My fiancé and I enjoyed the connivence of downtown Weaverville ( 5 minute walk) restaurants, the friendly atmosphere Tycer and his wife created for our stay, and the relaxing environment of the screened in porch at night to listen to the night critters while unwinding from a long week. Though we only stayed for a night, my fiancé and I contemplated staying much longer, but our plans did not allow that. This is a wonderful home away from home atmosphere. And it is the little touches that make it this way.

    Megan2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tycer and his better half were as nice a host as we have ever had. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. He even invited us to make home made apple cider with him which my daughter and I found to be as fun as any activity we did while on our trip. His place was spacious, comfortable and had a very homey feel. His rental was the best place we have ever rented. We plan to stay at his place again.

    Lawrence2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice hosts, beautiful house, close to town and the outdoors

    Mary2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying here; the hosts are wonderful and welcoming, as was the Asheville Bikehouse in general! The back porch is perfect for enjoying coffee and taking in the fall scenery! They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable; they even had water/beer/organic milk for coffee in the fridge and snacks on the counter. They also have a binder with information on both Weaverville and Asheville. We will definitely be staying here again!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Jamie's home in Weaverville. While we never met her in person, she was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The bed was comfortable and the room looks over the lovely backyard. The house is situated on a quiet street and is a short drive to downtown Weaverville. Driving to Asheville was closer than we expected, which was also a plus.

  • Loved our stay here. The house is located on a quiet road. It was a good location as far as being near Asheville and also Near Downtown Weaverville. We did not spend a ton of time at the house as we were out exploring a majority of the time- but the house was warm and had an inviting environment. The house smelled lovely and was clean. The space was perfect for the two of us. Our host was kind and friendly- offering a heated blanket or use of an oil heater, as it was pretty cold out one of the nights we were there. The space was nice, had a pretty view from the guest room window. I enjoyed looking at all the various eclectic books and art throughout the living space- it definitely added to the fun and cozy vibe of the house. I would come back to stay again for sure.

  • Location is an easy drive to Asheville with Weaverville's downtown minutes away. The host, Jamie, is very friendly and hospitable. I'd recommend checking in during daylight hours as it's a little difficult to see the driveway at night the first time. Jamie was very helpful with this as well.

    Eric2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Hummingbird hill is a perfect little mountain view oasis near the heart of Asheville. Its only about a 10 minute drive from the Asheville exit and about a mile from the cute old town of Weaverville. Everything about the place, made it such a lovely stay. The hime is very tranquil with majestic views from the back porch. I even saw a little bunny down the hill. The home is very clean and the bed is comfy. Patrick is a super friendly host and he has an adorable sweet Spaniel. Plus, you can't beat the price for a place in this area. I give it five stars!! I may just have to move in.

    Jamie 2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Jamie's home! The house was clean and cozy, and our bedroom was very comfortable. The drive to downtown Asheville was easy, and it was so nice to come back to the house after a long day out and enjoy the natural surroundings on the back porch. Jamie was not at the house, but she was communicative and made sure our stay was going well. We truly felt at home and recharged after our visit :) Thanks again Jamie!

    Danielle2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and Jamie was super nice. Bedroom was little smaller than expected but it was manageable. Pillows were a bit flat, so I would suggest bringing your own pillows if you like yours on the firmer side. Jamie was super nice and approved of letting us bring my red lab with us. We brought her along almost everywhere we went. Asheville is super pet friendly so that's why we wanted to bring her and was so grateful we could. :) All in all good place to stay, back patio area had a great view.

  • Jamie was extra considerate and responsive to a last-minute request. This airbnb experience has been among my very best and the value here is extremely good. Quiet, peaceful, and in a beautiful setting, this is THE PLACE if you want to be a short drive from Asheville, but not pay those Asheville prices, consider this home. When I make down this way again, I would love stating here an additional time. For everyone else, again, just a superb value.

  • Julie's cottage was simply perfect ! It was apx 15 min outside of downtown Asheville, such an ideal location. It was private & quite romantic. The pictures do not do it justice. The decor was inviting, fresh coffee in the morning and a beautiful deck to drink it on. Lovely fireplace and a bed to die for ! Incredibly clean...we will definitely be back :)

  • The listing is very accurate. The place is out in the mountains and it's awesome. Julie and her husband were awesome airbnb hosts. We didn't get the chance to meet them, but they made us feel like they had. It was our honeymoon, and when we got inside she had left us a card congratulating us on our marriage and wishing us the best time! The husband had left a extension cord and power strip for us as we had mentioned wanting to hook up our xbox to the tv (wife is a huge gamer too). Fresh flowers on the table. Everything was exactly as described. Backyard was amazing. It's like a studio apartment but bigger and in the mountains. Water was always hot, power never went out, and the internet is cable internet and fast. This listing is the real deal, if it's available, take it.

  • Quiet, secluded and peaceful cottage. Beautiful home with all the amenities. Julie is an awesome host all around.

The lovely country cottage is located on 15 acres. Our son and daughter in law built the cottage and our home; so, that makes it even more special. They also live on the same property. We have our own hiking trail in a wooded part of the property. We are excited to share our piece of heaven and do hope you love it as much as we do!
  • We were greeted by Janie and her husband. Both were very welcoming and offered to tell us more about the area. The cottage was very welcome, quaint and very clean. Their home is very close (driving distance) to downtown Asheville. Also the town of Weaverville had some great b'fast spots we checked out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Margee2015-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Janie's "cozy cottage". It was exactly as described and the pictures reflected it very well. Although we didn't do any cooking while we were there, the kitchen was very well stocked. We had limited interaction with Janie as everything was as it should be and we had no issues with anything. When I did reach out to her regarding info on the walking trail behind her property, she responded immediately. It's a great location - easy access to all of the surrounding areas of Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Weaverville is a wonderful little town with fun restaurants/bars if you don't want to drive into Asheville. I'd highly recommend Cozy Cottage - and the added bonus of being welcomed home each day by Janie's two friendly dogs was always fun.

  • The pictures of this place don't do it justice! Very spacious, clean and well-appointed with everything you need to have a very private, quiet and relaxing getaway. Owners are very organized and welcoming, they provided clear directions, a bottle of wine and a detailed housebook with great recommendations for food and things to do. Very short drive to Asheville and amazing outdoor activities. We loved the experience and would go back anytime.

    Adam2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ya! The place was soooo pretty!

    Cole2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Janie's cottage with my mom and aunt. We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Janie greeted us upon our arrival and was a very pleasant host. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer.

    Kristen2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Janie was very welcoming and the cabin is awesome. It's close enough to be convenient to Asheville and all the area has to offer, but away from city enough to feel secluded. The cabin has a great kitchen and was stocked with all the necessary utensils. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was nice. Overall, this was a great place and I'd recommend it to a couple looking to get away.

    Jamison2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our host greeted us upon arrival and provided her personal contact information. The description of both the property and the cottage were very accurate. The neighborhood seemed very safe and family friendly.

    Roberta2015-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Janie is a fantastic host. Everything was clearly communicated and thoughtful. My husband Jonas and I really enjoyed staying at her cottage. The cottage is very clean, charming, and in a beautiful setting. We loved the Sunny Point Cafe that they recommended for breakfast. We hope to be back one day when we can spend a little bit longer in the area. Thanks for your hospitality!

After five years of hosting in Florida we are now ready to continue in the bountiful blue mountains of North Carolina.
You will have a private bedroom and bathroom in our quiet, mindful, and green home. Organic coffee, tea, and breakfast selections will await you every morning. Your room includes a premium mattress and linens, and TV with Netflix. Your fully appointed bathroom located in the hallway just outside your room has a tub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are complimentary. Please know that we have two guestrooms, and you will share the bathroom with the other guests if both rooms are occupied.
Our mountain-side neighborhood is very peaceful and beautiful. We are surrounded by hundreds of acres of wild and beautiful forest.
  • Hildy, Colin, and Mia were great host. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Hildy offered us coffee and breakfast every morning, but we had plans to be up early so ate out. House was in great location only 10min from downtown and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We had great conversations with them we were in the house. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Sweetness and ease prevails here! I felt very welcomed and Colin and Hildy helped me schlep all my stuff in too!!! Very rare to witness the kindness and respect between a mother and son. The bedroom was simple yet warm and the bed was cozy and comphy. Loved the Organic coffee every morning and the invitation to help myself to fruit! I will be back at some point and stay again. Thank you Hildy and Colin.

    Corey2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Hildy and Colin are wonderful hosts and exceeded all of our expectations. They made us feel super comfortable and we enjoyed getting to know them. We absolutely plan to stay with them again!

    Kendra2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great host! The room was just as described. Close to things to do in Asheville and Weaverville. Hildy was very sweet and her pup Mia was welcoming as well! Definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

    Rachel2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Hildy & Colin are friendly hosts that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The location of the house was close to everything. The room I stayed in was exactly as pictured, very clean, cozy bed and pillows with a nice touch of artsy electric flavor. I have to admit, there was one night I came home to Hildy cooking something delicious for their dinner with nice music playing in the background. If I was hungry I would've definitely taken Hildy up on her offer to get a plate . And...if you need help with electronics such as tv logistics or want more entertainment than Netflix has to offer, Colin in your right hand man (He has a huge DVD and PlayStation collection). In all, they are extremely friendly people and wonderful hosts. This place is a hidden gem! Thanks for everything Colin and Hildy.

For less, you’ll get more – easy access to Asheville and a quick return to a safe, small mountain town whose residents smile and say hello as they pass each other on the sidewalk. Indeed, you may find yourself falling in love with Weaverville as Howard and Kristen did when they moved here more than a decade ago. With restaurants, shops and galleries galore, this exciting town of 3,500 people has just the sort of friendliness and accommodation that you’ll find at the Dry Ridge Inn
The most beautiful and worthwhile short drive you can take just north of Asheville is either straight up Merrimon Avenue or the highway route 19/23, past Lake Louise and into this lovely little time capsule named Weaverville. Turn left at the only street light you will see, park on Main Street and start browsing. Enjoy a day of shopping for a while and having lunch. You will swear you saw Sheriff Taylor, Barney and Oppie leaving Curtis Wright Outfitters for a fishing trip down at Lake Louise. Weaverville isn’t exactly Mayberry but it is as close as you’re ever going to get in this part of the world. Though you’ll get the feeling that you have stepped back in time, the specialty shops and restaurants will remind you that this is the 21st century. Looking for locally made crafts? The Main Street shops will fill your shopping basket. Brown’s Floral, for instance, offers wild and fun flower arrangements you might not find anywhere else. Guys, this is where you can become a hero with that significant other! Across the street you will find Shopes Furniture. Here you will most likely find Scott Shope whose family has been serving the local populations and visitors for 50+ years. Down the sidewalk you will find Miya Gallery. Jennifer Jenkins has a full gallery of two-dimensional works, fine crafts, glass, wood pottery and silk items. Real artists run and stock this shop, local crafts by local artists. In the mood to take home some pottery either for yourself or as a wonderful gift? Then go see Rob and Beth at Mangum Pottery where they specialize in hand built and wheel-thrown pottery pieces ranging from dinnerware to furniture. If you have an idea for an item, just let them know and watch them bring it to life. Two doors down is the Aabani Salon where you can experience that special pampering you so deserve. Cross the street, the street crossing light button actually works, and head back up Main Street past Brown’s Floral and you will arrive at the oldest commercial building still in use in the Western North Carolina area. Here you will find Shop Around The Corner, a eclectic collection of special finds and antiques. Getting Hungry? Weaverville can take of you no problem. Up the street from where you are now is Blue Mountain Pizza. It is more that just Pizza, with soups, sandwiches, paninis, and live music every night. Cross the street and you will get a whiff of what’s going on at the Well Bred Bakery. The bakers are over their making yummy stuff and the barristers are brewing up coffees that can’t be beat. There is a couch to sit down and eat if you prefer – all the comforts of home but they are doing all the work. In the mood for a burger, buffalo wings, nachos or a club sandwich? You can find all that a more down the street at Main Street Grill. Just a few more steps and you will find Twisted Laurel Pub. Weaverville’s new gathering spot. It is located in the Old Firehouse. Their menu features healthy, high-quality, made-from-scratch pub fare featuring the region’s local bounty. They have a great selection of draught beer, wines, whiskeys and cocktails to enjoy while relaxing in their dining room & main bar, on their outdoor deck, or catching a game on their side bar’s big screen TV. Stop by for a local jam session, to see a live band on the weekend, or to enjoy Sunday Brunch. Ok, buy now you have got to be getting tired. Weaverville can handle that big time. Just two blocks for Twisted Laurel Pub is the Dry Ridge Inn Bed and Breakfast. Built in 1849 and continually updated, the Dry Ridge Inn has eight beautiful guest rooms, each with gas fireplace, free WiFi and a private bathroom designed with your comfort in mind. A luxurious living room with complementary beverages, and the enticing gardens will tempt you to stay in for the day. Business travelers will appreciate the business center on the second floor. This space is right in downtown Weaverville. You can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping within 5 minutes. The drive to downtown Asheville is 15 minutes, and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, for a beautiful drive or hike, is also about 15 minutes. This space has a den, a bathroom, and a separate bedroom; all private space for you with a private entrance. It's great for couples, small families, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
This time of year you can visit the Biltmore estate which is decked out with lights and decorations for the Holiday season. It's a spectacular sight. The Grove Park Inn is also festive and their annual Gingerbread contest is in full swing. Touring the Gingerbread Art is fun for children and adults as well!
  • Jennifer was hos accommodating her place was super close to the restaurants and shops in Weaverville. The pictures are very on point, the space was even cuter in person. Great place for the value.

    Jill2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jennifer's was fantastic. The small apartment on the lower level of her house was just recently renovated and everything is clean and new. My wife and I had a great time walking to downtown Weaverville, which is the easiest 1/2 mile walk. We went to "Wellbred" for coffee and breakfast. Blue Mountain Pizza and Brew Pub for an evening. Hiking on a mountain trail a few miles away. Asheville is 10 minutes away, but Weaverville had everything we wanted for our weekend. Jennifer was a great host and we will definitely stay with her again. Private entrance, very comfortable king size bed, easy parking.

    Jason2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and private place, and it is very easy to get from Weaverville to Asheville. Cute nearby downtown area for when you don't want to make the drive.

    Tessa2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, stylish, homey garden level apartment. Easy to communicate with Jennifer, and easy to enter the airbnb! Could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom, but overall a very nice place to stay.

    Celeste2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Place was cozy, modern and I'd definitely stay here again. The basement felt freshly renovated and I appreciated all the surfaces to set things. Bedroom was big with a comfortable king bed and extra blanket. The lighting was great in the bathroom and there were plenty of towels, too. Jennifer was easy to communicate with and made the check-in/out process very smooth. Had everything I needed. Next time I'll bring coffee to use the coffee station. Such a cute place.

  • We never saw our actual 'host', Sandy!!! We were greeted by her aunt and she is a lovely , welcoming lady. The house was absolutely perfect for my family. Everyone was very comfortable in their rooms and plenty of space everywhere for people to spread out. We loved the covered porch in the back and the side deck, although it was pretty hot and rainy and couldn't hang out there too much. All in all, this home had EVERYTHING as far as amenities (iron and ironing board, complete and MORE kitchen, linens, blankets)... just perfect. Also, it was very clean and refreshing!

    Joanne2016-07-12T00:00:00Z

  • The host made checking in quite pleasant - a key was delivered by a relative who showed us about the house. The listing was very accurate The older home had been updated nicely and was comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well equipped. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but is only a few blocks away from downtown Weaverville, where there are nice shops and restaurants. The three of us especially enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. We would love to stay here again.

    Deborah2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really great place to stay. We were visiting Asheville to see the Biltmore all decorated for Christmas and this home was located within easy reach of that. Furnishings were well appointed, and it's possibly the cleanest place I've ever stayed. Truly a gem, and we're already planning a return trip!

This is the choice for 'glamping' in a modern Casita. We offer an Asheville area experience where you pick the location! Be close in town and Uber around enjoying the breweries, listening to live music at eclectic venues or people watching at a sidewalk cafe. Or choose a place in the forest around the fire pit with steaks on the grill and stars to light the night. The choice is yours, making the Casita experience truly unique .
Reserve a campsite in the Asheville area and we will deliver and set up the camper for you and include all the essentials. (The campground fee is not included in the Airbnb price). Our 17 ft. Casita camper provides a unique Asheville experience. Functional and comfortable, it has what you want and need. We will pick it up when you check out of your campsite. All you have to do is come prepared for fun and adventure. Included is a full kitchen, outdoor cooking options, full bath, queen size bed, flat screen TV, DVD, AC, and heat. The outdoor awning, rug, chairs, table and soft lighting make a wonderfully relaxing space. If you need help finding the best campground to fit your needs, ask us. We have camped at or visited these campgrounds: Wilson's Riverfront RV Park, French Broad River Park, Campfire Lodgings Campground,Hot Springs Resort Campground, Lake Powhatan Campground, Davidson River Campground, Mama Gerties Campground, KOA in Swannanoa, Mt Pisgah Campground and other area campgrounds too. We would have included links and phone numbers for these campgrounds but AirB&B blocks them for some reason so all we can do is give you the names of the campgrounds. There are also campgrounds we advise avoiding and will be glad to give you the heads-up on these as well. We are here to help throughout your visit and are always just a text or phone call away.
The neighborhood is anywhere you want it to be! We can set you up at campgrounds, festivals (like the LEAF Festival. Check it out) or your own driveway for those overflow house guests. You choose the place, we'll make sure it happens!
  • We were looking to go camping in the Asheville area last minute and came across Mary & Jay’s Casita! So glad we did! Mary communicated with us through every step and helped us tremendously. Perfect for a weekend getaway or just to get away for a glamping experience in the mountains! Thanks again for your hospitality!

    Kenya2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The host and hostess were quick to respond to questions and to think ahead to things that I might not have considered asking. The RV was very clean and decorated with taste. It was a most enjoyable stay.

    Tina2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Jay are amazing. They made our weekend effortless and so relaxing. The meals and s’mores are worth extra Moolah. Excellent time for the money.

    patty2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Jay were very accommodating and so easy to communicate with during the entire process. Our earlier attempt to use their camper had to be cancelled at the last minute due to a family emergency and they were wonderful. We are considering purchasing a 16 ft camper and this was the perfect way to see if this size would meet our needs. They set everything up and even had coffee/coffee pot in the camper + ice and water in the frig. Everything was provided, sheets, towels and paper products. Would highly recommend! Great restaurant suggestions, too!

    Susan2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Jay's casita is the perfect weekend getaway! My husband and I stayed at Lake Powhatan outside of Asheville and it was perfect. Mary and Jay met us at the campsite and set everything up--could not have been easier. Mary even sent cream for the coffee and basic kitchen amenities like oil and S/P. The bed is comfy, the camper clean. Nice awning to stay out of rain or hot sun. No complaints and will be back for sure!

Couples love the Cottage! You can bring along kids too for a fun family vacation. Privately situated on 2 acres, conveniently located 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, and 5 minutes to Weaverville. Cozy, charming, quiet, the Cottage provides a fully equipped kitchen, mosaic tile bath and is far from ordinary. Clever use of recycled materials. Fully fenced pet approved backyard with outdoor dining table for 4. Sleeps up to four,: 1 queen, 1 full size futon - located in same room.
The 700 sq ft Wisteria Cottage is cozy, charming, quiet and conveniently located. It sleeps up to four in 1 queen bed and 1 full-sized futon, located in the same room. It is a great space for a couple, or a couple with younger children. As the beds are located in the same room, it is generally not a space to bring along the teenager or older children. Friends may not find the space private enough either. (Note that I also offer a 2 bedroom home vacation home on this property called the Hydrangea House, perfect for 4 person groups). Location is 10-15 minutes North of Downtown Asheville, and 5 minutes from the small quaint center of Weaverville. Easy access to all that Asheville has to offer including the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn and Spa, the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes to all these locations), hikes, waterfalls, mountain biking and glorious mountain vistas. For a real treat, head 25 minutes down the road to Hot Springs, North Carolina for a long and glorious soak in the fresh natural mineral hot springs located on the banks of the French Broad River. Relax and enjoy the colorful gardens and artistic custom-made features of the Wisteria Cottage. New super comfortable Queen memory foam mattress. Fully-equipped kitchen to prepare your favorite meal. Eat out on the private patio surrounded by mosaic art designed into the base of the cottage, or choose from one of the many local restaurants only minutes from home. Use of recycled materials include reclaimed wood exterior, with strategic placement of barn wood, reclaimed wood floor in bedroom/living room, painted cement floors in kitchen and reclaimed kitchen cabinets with custom tile counter tops to tie them all together. If you enjoy eclectic old world design, you'll love the Cottage. It is not a slick modern space! The Cottage was built by French artists over a period of time. Custom touches include a walk-in mosaic tile bath, mosaic tile kitchen counters and custom stenciled concrete floors. The cottage vaulted ceilings make the space light and bright when the velvet curtains are open, and romantic and cozy when drawn. One long-time customer refers to the cottage as 'Velvet Therapy' for all the peace and tranquility it brings to her. The cottage is perfect for a romantic, cozy get-away for two, or for a couple with younger children looking to explore Asheville. The cottage is pet friendly, just be sure to let me know you will be bringing a pet (maximum of 2), and be sure to read and abide by some simple pet rules so that I can keep accepting guests furry friends. There is a fenced area for your pet out the back door (picket fence so beware that very small dogs may not be well-contained). All you need to bring with you are your clothes, food and your adventurous spirit. Everything else is included!
Weaverville is a small community just North of Asheville. We have a beautiful town center with delicious restaurants, art stores and a couple of parks. Google Weaverville NC for the towns website and more information. The cottage is in a quiet lovely location, at the end of a long driveway that takes you well off the secondary road used to access it. It is rare to find a place so peaceful, and yet so conveniently located. You are only a couple of minutes from the highway, two major grocery stores, liquor store, even a Wal-Mart, and you are at most 15 minutes to downtown Asheville. The cottage shares a large parking area with another 2 bedroom 1 bath dog friendly vacation rental home, The Hydrangea House. So you may see other guests staying on the property as well. The cottage location is not in a walkable neighborhood (no sidewalks and narrow shoulder) but it's an easy few minute drive to Weaverville where you can park and walk the neighborhood behind main street as well as the walking trail around Lake Louise, a short stroll from town. Lake Louise also offers a fitness area, children's playground and lots of ducks and turtles!
  • Great first experience with Airbnb. Jayne was super. The cottage is very cozy and private. We didn't want to leave. Perfect place to stay with our dog. We will likely return soon!

    Eric2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jayne is the ideal host! Have stayed in both of her houses. They are always clean, and she goes above and beyond to make sure the stay is perfect! I highly recommend either of her houses if you are in the Asheville area.

    Jason2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I absolutely loved this cottage. It was the perfect size and Jayne really thought of everything putting this place together. The backyard was great for our dog. I loved the notes left there for suggestions on everything from coffee to sunsets. I honestly can't think of one negative to say!

  • This cottage was a lovely place to stay and though relatively easy to find was very private and somewhat secluded. Though we didn't meet Jayne shenwas in touch and easily contactable should we have needed anything. Her recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed a wonderful 3 days in the mountains and the cool break from the summer heat.

  • Wonderful getaway cottage for work or fun. Convenient to Asheville, but far enough away if you don't want to be in the city. Extremely hospitable to the four legged children! I would definitely stay here again. 10 minutes to Weaverville if you don't want to cook, or it has a kitchen if you want to dine in.

  • We LOVED our experience! Everything was as described. This was a cozy cottage and very comfortable for my fiance, myself and our two dogs. There was clear instructions that answered any questions. When it was time to checkout, we did not want to leave. We would definitely go back.

  • Great jumping off point for exploring the area in and around Asheville. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need for a weekend or full week stay!

  • Jayne's place was perfect for a long mid week getaway in the Asheville area. The cottage was so cute and cozy, and Jayne's little notes made it easy to navigate. We and my dog enjoyed sitting in the back yard on the cool nights, which was very quiet and peaceful. Asheville was only a 10 minute drive away and incredibly easy to get to and from. We also enjoyed the trail, restaurants and adorable homes in the Main Street Weaverville area. We really loved it and would happily come back to visit again!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the cabin. Since the cabin is in the owners' backyard it is a hybrid between a true B&B and renting a house. GeGe and her husband were terrific - from booking our v…
