“About 45 minutes south is a great retail shop, connected to a great restaurant (Waterman's Grill) and some of the best (free) kite boarding shows you can see. The Outer Banks is known as being one of the best spots in the world for Kite boarding. If you head down to Real and walk to the back you can watch some world class kite boarders doing their thing, and it is amazing to watch. There is also live music Friday and Saturday nights.”

“Island Cruisers has a wide variety of four-wheelers for you to hire, which include four-wheel-drive cars so that you can cruise on the beach and on the road. They have two-wheel-drive vehicles as well, which range from economy to multiple passenger vehicles. Their classic VW fiberglass powered convertible is just perfect for a one day trip from Hatteras to Ocracoke. They also offer golf cart rentals and fishing accessories.”

Hobby Shop
“Skate boards, surf boards, clothing, foot wear, hats, sunglasses are just some of the high quality products in stock for adults and children, and at a reasonable price. This is our hands down favorite best surf/skate shop on the island. Jason is a good person to do business with, and generally a good person to be around due to his wisdom and humor, so stop in for a visit. His intimate knowledge of local conditions make him an invaluable source of info before heading out. Daily surf reports and more at rodanthesurfshop.com.”
