Just booked in Watervliet

3 bedroom apartment with deck on Hudson River! Stunning second floor apartment with private porch, 2 living rooms, sunny kitchen, shared lush backyard, garden & deck on Hudson! Close to RPI, Sage, Emma, HVCC; short distance to Albany, Saratoga.
This apartment is on the second floor of a quaint house on a relatively quiet one-way street. The style inside our apartment could be described as cute, shabby/chic with a little artistic flare, opening up to a beautiful river view. Our furnished space is an excellent place for short visits from a few days to a few months. We can easily accommodate RPI parents and staff, EMPAC artists-in-residence, corporate travelers, displaced home owners due to remodeling, mortgage closing or an emergency. Let us put up your out-of-town guests looking for a little more comfort and spaciousness than what a hotel can offer. We have three small bedrooms each with a bed--one queen mattress and two full size beds with futon mattresses. (We also have a futon couch which makes into an extra full size bed in the "river living room," although this couch is not as comfy as beds in bedrooms). There's also a outdoor couch on the 2nd floor deck, that I (Branda) have been known to sleep on in the summer, because I love the sound of the river and birds and sleeping with the stars, but it isn't really comfortable for sleeping and you need to be short! So much to love! We have the best of both worlds -- an urban neighborhood with a back yard sitting on one of the most beautiful natural spots you could find! Look out at a view of the confluence of the mighty Hudson and Mohawk Rivers. A visit to our River Home is not only offers a beautiful view, but a direct opportunity to learn about the history of the beginning of the Industrial Revolution! We're surrounded by historic places to explore, directly across from Peebles Island and Lock 2 on the Erie Canal! Plus, just a short walk down our street is writer Herman Melville's home, where he began his career as a writer with his first two novels "Typee and Oomoo!"
If you enjoy a quaint historic spot at the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, this could be a great neighborhood for you. This is not a typical tourist spot in any way -- yet is imbedded with deep history. We are on a quiet working class block on a one way street with an exceptional view from our back yard! Our River Home is in Lansingburgh, which is the Northern most part of the City of Troy. We have beautiful views, historic sites, and easy access to basic needs. We are right across from Lock #2 of the Erie Canal, and the Waterford Visitors Center and Peebles Island, just below the 126th St. bridge across the river. (We are between 122nd and 123rd St.) Our furnished space is an excellent place for short visits from a few days to a few months. More about Waterford, NY: The Town of Waterford is situated in the southeastern corner of Saratoga County, 12 miles north of Albany at the junction of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, and the junction of the Erie and Champlain Canals. It is the home of the “Waterford Flight”, the highest set of lift locks in the world. In 1816 the old precinct of "Halve Maan" (Halfmoon) was divided into two separate towns, Halfmoon and Waterford. The Village of Waterford is located within the town and holds the distinction of being the oldest continually incorporated village in the United States. More about the Erie Canal: The Erie Canal is an artificial waterway that connects the Hudson River to Lake Erie. This historic waterway, first completed in 1825, is one of the most important projects in the development and success of New York and the United States. Then Governor DeWitt Clinton had a great vision to create a man-made waterway connecting Albany to Buffalo which would allow raw materials from the west to be transported cheaply to the populated eastern seaboard. His idea was met with harsh criticism and his opposition dubbed the idea as Clinton's Ditch or Clinton's Folly, but he pressed on. On the fourth of July, 1817, Clinton's Ditch was started in Rome, where there was a long level section to be dug. The Erie Canal was completed from Albany to Buffalo in the fall of 1825 and was an immediate success; it secured New York as the Empire State. To this day the Erie Canal still serves the boating community in providing safe passage to Upstate New York and beyond. The canal was enlarged and straightened many times and the current version stretches 338 miles from Waterford on the Hudson River to Lake Erie near Buffalo. The canal was originally built as a means for commercial traffic, but it has transformed into a recreational boater's dream. The Erie Canal is lined with dozens of canal towns offering all the services that a transient boater would need. Today's canal has 34 Locks and is at least 120 feet wide and 12 feet deep. It has a vertical clearance of 21 feet between Waterford and Three Rivers (Oswego Canal junction), and 15.5 feet between the Three Rivers and Lake Erie. The locks are significantly larger than those of 175 years ago at 328 feet long and 45 feet wide, large enough for almost all recreational cruisers as well as large commercial barges to pass through. The largest vessels can be as large as 300 feet long by 43.5 feet wide. For more info: http://www.nycanals.com/Erie_Canal More about Herman Melville's House: The Herman Melville House was home of author Herman Melville between 1838 and 1847. The building is preserved and maintained by the Lansingburgh Historical Society.

  • Justin was a great communicator and I needed that as my times changed due to traffic so he was brilliant. Then when I got to the place it was super clean, very cosy, a very sweet find. Thanks Justin.

  • Super host and great communication responding to every need. Immaculately clean with nice touches around the house. It was the perfect place for a quick visit to spend time with our RPI student.

    Edgar2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great place to stay. Host are living nearby and they are really helpful. The bed is very comfortable and furnitures are new. The downside s are the house is close to the road and the heatting systeam is close to the dinning room. It would he a little annoying when you sit down staris. Also, the room dose not have any working table. If you try to work with youe laptop for a long time you have to set up on the dinning table. Over all it is a good place to stay.

    Wenzhi2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night at Justin's place but it was just what we needed for a wedding nearby. Really cozy, clean house with incredibly comfortable beds! Justin made everything super easy!

The house is in Albany County, in a small town called Watervliet. It is 2.3 miles from Troy, 7.5 miles from the State Capital, and 15 minutes from Albany International Airport. This cozy apartment is street level and there is plenty of parking and a bus stop right outside the door. It has a small dining area in the kitchen, a large living room, a separate bedroom and a private bathroom. Plenty of space for 2-3 people.
This apartment was recently renovated. Highlights include the cozy location, eat-in kitchen with new counters, all of the appliances and utensils you need, a large bedroom with an very comfortable bed and television. The living room is spacious and also has a TV. It is close to the Albany International Airport, New York State Capital and University of Albany/SUNY. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.
Watervliet is a small town next to Troy and Albany. It's a nice place which makes it the perfect getaway when you need a little break from the hustle & bustle of the city. There's plenty of parking on the street.

Freshly renovated, historic carriage house in historic downtown Troy. Same block as Troy Music Hall, Plumb Oyster Bar, The Confectionary, Ilium Cafe, Peck's Arcade, Little Peck's, Heart space yoga, Liza's, the Shop, the Hanger, RPI, Empac Center, Russell Sage. Steps to amazing Saturday farmers market. Includes covered garage parking spot. Lofted sleeping area with spiral stairs, new hardwood floors throughout, exposed original wooden beams, subway tile, Carrara marble bathroom floor.
Modern carriage house behind historic building in the heart of downtown Troy. Shared landscaped backyard with fire pit and seating.
  • Kerry's carriage house is a beautiful place with an attached garage which is great for those concerned over vehicle security, my old farm truck was too large to fit inside but that's not a concern for me. Walking distance from plenty of fare in downtown Troy and the river. Kerry was very accomodating, the only minor issue I had was the internet. I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi unless standing against the windows in the back of the house, and would lose connection if I walked further than the kitchen counter. Beyond that, I really enjoyed my stay and anyone else will too.

    Ian2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrys apartment was like something out of HGTVs "fixer upper" It was a beautifully renovated carriage house complete with subway tile and a barn door. My husband and I traveled to Troy for the weekend bc of its close proximity to the Saratoga race track. We were traveling with our twin boys who are just one year old and Kerry and his wife couldn't have been more accommodating to our family. They provided a baby gate and also some toys that their own daughter had outgrown for the boys to play with during our stay. This couple went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. There apartment is in a prime location with at least 20 great restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be returning to Troy and staying with them in the future. This is THE PLACE to rent in Troy!!!! Don't miss it!

    Mike2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • I was in town to attend a parent event at my daughter's boarding school. The location was amazing! The space is pristine and perfect. Comfortable and everything you could possibly need. Internet speed was wonderful. Parking in the garage is an incredible feature. The neighborhood has so many amazing places to eat. I look forward to planning my next trip and hoping this location is available. Wonderful!

    Nodia2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kerry's carriage house was a great place to stay in Troy. Clean, comfortable and convenient - can't ask for much more. It's walkable to everything in downtown Troy and the garage parking spot was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend it!

    John2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location. Quiet and clean. Convenient parking. Funky, cool space. Kerry and his wife were helpful with their tips about how to get around and things to see and places to eat. We would definitely go back!

    Mike2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place Kerry provides is unreal, such a great location in Downtown Troy, and a really cool loft he's got! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in such a cool place. Highly recommended.

    Jack2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Place exactly as pictured. I wouldn’t change a thing.

    Rhonda2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kerry's place was great! The space is very cute and perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway. The sleeping loft is right above the kitchen area, and creates a very open feel to the whole place. There are plenty of dishes and basic cooking utensils if you want to stay in, but one of the best features of this place is how close it is to everything. There are literally dozens of bars and restaurants in walking distance. The apartment is right in the middle of a charming downtown area, but set back far enough from the road that it's nice and quiet. I'd highly recommend it for a quick stopover or even better for a weekend away!

You’ll love this place because of the contemporary ambiance of our cozy urban nest and the diverse neighborhood convenient to cafes, restaurants and a fabulous downtown.
This apartment was formerly a retail shop that we lovingly converted into living space. It is one of a kind! Each detail was planned until we felt that the furnishings and ambiance created a perfect urban nest. We hope you will enjoy staying in this unique space.
This apartment is located in a diverse active urban neighborhood. There is some street noise and traffic that is part of the experience. The location is excellent for those who like to explore the heart of a city as it provides multiple venues within walking distance. Excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops are located within blocks of the apartment as are both Sage College and RPI.
  • This really was a great trip! Great hosts, lovely apartment, great city!

  • Kathleen and Rich were excellent hosts. She came to pick us up at the train at the train station so we didn’t have to take a taxi or Uber. Their place is just as described and is centrally located in downtown Troy. It is very cozy and you feel at home right away. It is full of interesting details and very well equipped. We would love to come back to this little jewel in Troy, NY

In the warmer months it's just a couple of blocks away in Monument Square. Enjoy local shops that tout a variety of wares and locally crafted goods. My favorites are Anchor No. 5 boutique, The Broken Mold and Forage & Sundry. Enjoy a loungy atmosphere with a variety of food vendors and events including live music and poetry at Troy Kitchen. Grab a bagel and a cup of joe at a local colorful favorite, Psychedelicatessan. Stop in next door at the neighborhood pub Finnbars for a pint and some comfort food. Dress up and reserve a table at Peck's Arcade for some tapas, be sure to check out the adjoining wine bar, Lucas Confectionery. Take in a show at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Take a class or workshop at the Troy Arts Center or the Tech Valley Center of Gravity. Troy has so much to offer! • Exactly as described. Courtyard is funky (the good kind) while also being quiet/secluded. Perfectly located within the busy area of Troy. Ideal for weddings or any other event at Franklin Plaza.

  • Adorable place...I have to cook my own meals and the kitchen was fully equipped. The evening I stayed was very warm and Tara made a special trip to provide me with a fan - great host!

    Deirdre2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tara wasn't kidding about the steep steps up to the loft, but they were more than worth it. My son and I were in town visiting Rensselaer, and we hardly wanted to go because the carriage house was so comfortable and inviting -- very stylish too. The kitchen was wonderful, and having extra towels and linens and washcloths was a really nice touch. We even had a fresh flower. We had fun playing darts. The games and movies selection was great. We'd go back in a minute.

    Kelly2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, cute, clean space. Easy to park close by on the street.

    Valerie2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptionally well kept, decorated, and outfitted place--a pleasure to stay in. Instructions were clear and all communication smooth.

    Peter2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tara's place was really nice, and in a great location! It was cool to have a backyard to sit in, especially with the good weather this past weekend.

    Zach2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Tara's carriage house. The apartment is well-located -- near restaurants and nighlife-- but quiet at night due to being tucked away on a scenic alley overlooking a private courtyard. The apartment has everything you need or could need-- copious towels, a great selection of teas and coffee, DVDs, hair dryer, etc. Tara is a gracious host-- very quick to respond to questions, and provide tips on where to eat and what to see while in Troy. Highly recommended!

  • Our stay in Nina's apartment was perfect. It was immaculately clean and super comfortable, and she left us snacks and a bottle of wine as a little welcome gift. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the location couldn't be more perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we'll definitely hope to stay here next time we're in town.

    Emily2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment could not have worked out better for us. My best friend and I are RPI Alums and we were in town for our homecoming weekend. Nina's apartment is located in the most ideal location right downtown, in walking distance to both our favorite bars/restaurants and well as some new places that are delicious and modern. The apartment itself was much larger than we had even expected. We felt very at home in this updated space and hope to stay with Nina again in the future. Check-in and check-out were both seamless and Nina checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly midway through our stay. Such an enjoyable weekend in Troy!

  • We stayed at Nina's lovely loft apartment for two nights while on a college visit with our daughter to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RPI is a quick drive or about a half hour walk. The accommodations are outstanding. Nina has a well maintained unit and provides quality bedding and linens. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances. She even sets out light snacks and beverages. Downtown Troy is easily walkable and has great restaurants and some nice shops. We were able to park on the street in front of the apartment building but the parking garage is directly across the street if we would have been unable to find a space. Nina communicated well with us and provided detailed instructions on access to the apartment and all the information we would need during our stay. Highly recommend this rental!

The neighborhood is great for live music (troy savings hall), the Saturday farmer's market (incredible) and lots of local pubs and shops, all within a short few blocks.

    Wayne2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's house is great. I am a repeat customer. The location is ideal and the atmosphere couldn't be more peaceful and lovely. Will recommend to all my Troy-bound friends.

    Betsy2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying in Kathe's Victorian rooms. They are so comfortable and cozy. Kathe has been a warm and gracious host and we always feel like family when we stay. The best part might be the amazing smell of the soaps and fragrances from the Indigo Spa on the ground floor.

    Kyle2015-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Kathe's place exceeds all expectations, it was wonderful!

    Dees2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! We had a wonderful stay, house is on a very picturesque street in Troy, is clean, elegant, and communication with Kathe was very easy. Highly recommend!

    Jason2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kathe's Airbnb is fantastic! The location is perfect (just a couple blocks south of the Troy's Farmers' Market, near lots of great restaurants, etc). The rooms are up on the third floor, so there's a good division and sense of privacy. The continental breakfast Kathe provided us was great.

    Ralph2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Kathe's place is immaculate, serene and located on a beautiful street. We were only in town for the night, and didn't get to see much of Troy or Kathe's place, but what we did see, well, I definitely want to come back. The room was perfect. I loved the window nooks and I easily could have spent an afternoon reading in one . The bed was SO comfortable, and the shared bathroom was large, close by and spotless. Everything in Kathe's home is placed with thought and care, truly peaceful and welcoming. Thank you Kathe!

A quaint row house community from the 1800s. My apartment is on the second floor of a two-family house. It is 4 blocks from RPI campus, very close to Russell Sage, 7 blocks from Samaritan hospital, 5 blocks from St Mary's hospital and not too far from Emma Willard School. The apartment is close to major roadways that make anywhere in the Capital District easy to access. Only 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs. Twenty minutes to Albany.
Lots of space. Washer and Dryer in Apartment.
  • I like Troy- I had not explored this city before- I think it is important to read their house rules. I was very surprised they expected me to take out my trash to curbside, wash my towels and linens. There was no coffee or tea for the morning, so bring your own. This did not seem like a neighborhood where I wanted to walk down in to town from. There were 4 of us staying together nd I had the day bed. The pillows smelled stale and were flabby.

    Josie2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jim was a really nice host and the apartment was spacious and had everything that we needed for the two weeks we stayed there. Good location too.

    Aimée2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jim was very helpful and responsive and his apartment was very conveniently located for visits to RPI

    David2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was in a good location for me. Neighborhood was quiet. Host was easy to work with. Apartment is not "cool old", it's more like "dumpy old". I had a hard time sleeping on the mattress, and the space could use a good thorough cleaning. My stay was fine because it was good enough for me, but my wife would never have stayed there.

    Jason2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jim was a great host. He came down to welcome me to the place and give recommendations about everything I needed. He also checked in part way through to make sure everything was okay. It was great to have most of the apartment to yourself and the ability to do laundry there was awesome.

    Nicholas2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Helen and Jim were very responsive to our inquiries and offered coffee!

    mindy2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This location was perfect for visiting my daughter at RPI. The campus was close and the neighborhood was safe to walk through at any time of day. I really appreciated the effort that Jim went to to make sure we have everything we needed, especially the coffee and wifi password. It was a great place to stay while I visited Troy.

    Alicia2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jim is very kind and thoughtful. He is willing to offer helps. This apartment is very close to RPI and better than I expected with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and a cozy bedroom. The price is good. I'd like to stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

My place is walking distance to everything! RPI is right up the hill and there are tons of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Amazing Korean food right around the corner and one of the coolest bars in downtown right up the street!. You’ll love my place because of the awesome location and amazing outdoor space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
This is an old building with a lot of character, there is a sun porch connected to the bedroom that is a great private space for guests.
Troy has a ton of character and there are a lot of new shops, restaurants and bars opening all the time. There is an amazing farmers market on Saturdays as well. You will never be bored in Troy, there is always something to see and somewhere to go, especially if you love to eat :)
  • Angela was easy to communicate with, and the 24hr check-in was very helpful.

    Adam2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had a blast, Angela's place is great. Such a comfy cozy bed, plenty of towels and unfettered access to kitchen / laundry and parking. Very cool patio, very fun area. Certainly a host with the most. The whole trip was cool as hell. Thanks!

    annie2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angela is an exceptionally helpful host. She responded immediately to questions or updates concerning check-in times and made the process very smooth. She is very knowledgeable in the areas growing downtown businesses and offered superb suggestions for places to grab food, coffee, and drinks, as well as sights to see while in the area. Her space was very clean, quiet, and cozy including a private bedroom and sunroom, kitchen amenities, and laundry. She is a very kind host and makes her guests feel welcome in her home and supported throughout their stay.

Sun-Filled, Spacious Brownstone in Downtown Troy 3 blocks from downtown in Scenic, Historic Washington Park. (1 and 3-br apts. avail. in the same building) 1st floor of a gorgeous brownstone, complete with modern appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer and lots of sun-light. 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed. Queen-sized Aero bed is available upon request. (Pets are most welcome but please give me notice before booking.)
The apartment is sunny, immaculate and welcoming. The location is perfect as you're just a few blocks away from all the best parts of Troy but the street itself is quiet and lined with brownstones.
Troy, NY is a historic, beautiful, walkable little city, rich in culture and charm. It's also central to many other area attractions and outdoor adventures.
  • Everything about the apartment was exactly as described and the rental experience was terrific! It's a beautiful place and just what we wanted. Mary was an excellent host.

    David2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, clean and spacious, and I was able to bring my dog because Mary allows Pets! Kitchen is beautiful, and the Internet works without a flaw.

  • Mary’s apartment was lovely and it’s in the best part of town- not even a 5 minute walk to downtown. I found the apartment to be spacious, spotless and comfortable. Mary made herself available to me and offered me suggestions of things to do in the area. Highly recommend!

  • I absolutely loved this apartment and will be back for sure! It's within a few blocks of all the best parts of downtown Troy and the private parking was a plus. The space is immaculate and has all the charm of an old brownstone but with modern amenities.

    Johanna2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was just as advertised. Had open communication with Mary the whole team leading up and after staying. Was a great location for walking to bars and restaurants. Plenty of street parking, but it was nice to have a private spot in the back as well. Would love to stay here again!

    Molly2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is exactly as advertised, and the rental experience was superb. Mary was prompt and extremely helpful. We had an excellent stay! The apartment is near downtown and situated near some excellent architecture in Troy, NY Though not a problem at all for us, some might mind the lack of television (bring the board games!). If you don't care about dog stuff, you can stop reading now. The apartment is dog friendly, and so is a large portion of the town, from Henry Loves Betty (funky dog store) to Superior Merchandise (coffee), and even Ace Hardware. A major exception to the dog-friendliness is the beautiful, but private, Washington park. You'll want to walk through to see it, but dogs aren't allowed in that park. We came in the winter, and a 20 minute drive away was a Capital Hills golf course, which has a massive off leash park in the off season.

I'm walking distance to the downtown nightlife and only a block away from 1 of only 2 privately owned parks in the country. I have a beautiful deck off of my apartment.
Quiet beautiful neighborhood. Neighbors are all extremely friendly.
  • Only stayed one night but loved the location, very convenient, parking was a breeze. Perfect for myself and a colleague, with two separate bedrooms. Lots of supplies in case you forget your own toiletries.

  • Great spot, very private and secure! Danielle is the bomb!

    Gus2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Straightforward check-in and prompt communication. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-located for our visit to Rennselaer in a quiet, pretty neighborhood. Although we stayed only one night, this could be a good longer-stay location for 2-3 people, with a sizable living-dining area and a well-equipped, smaller kitchen.

    Genevra2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I enjoyed staying in the first floor flat in Danielle's building over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting my daughter who attends college in the Troy area. The place was both hip and cozy. The kitchen was well outfitted and we were able to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for our daughter and her friends. Danielle was a super host! She ensured the four of us guests settled in comfortably and helped us with extra linens and place settings. We would definitely stay with Danielle again and would highly recommend the 1st floor flat.

Intro pricing! Sm, 2nd fl, one br apt. Old NYC feel. Comfy, clean retreat. Quiet, working class n'hood convenient to RPI, Troy, U Albany, downtown Albany & Troy. 30 min to Saratoga Springs. Walk to the Armory. Easy access to I-787 and I-90.
Charming apartment in an old brick building. Plenty of on street parking. Original plank flooring, exposed interior brick. Filled with antiques and tranquil charm. Perfect for a comfortable, business stay, university visits or to explore the capital region. Nice, newer bathroom, incredibly comfortable queen sized bed. Space accommodates 2. The apartment is on the small side, and the bathroom requires walking through the bedroom, so keep in mind how close you want to be to those you are traveling with! UNFORTUNATELY, NO PETS, NO CHILDREN DUE TO SPACE AND SAFETY CONSTRAINTS :) I do require my guests to fully complete the Airbnb identity verification before accepting reservations.
This neighborhood has an old school, working-class feel. From the 60 year old Schuyler Bakery to the pubs and pizza joints within walking distance, people are very friendly here. I walk around a lot, and have no problems, but there isn't much hustle and bustle around, it's just a working class neighborhood, so If you aren't comfortable in an older, city environment, then it might not be the place for you.

  • We had a great stay at Melanie's! The apartment is just the right size for two people and would have been perfectly comfortable with 3 or 4 if we were in a mood for a slumber party. The kitchen was stocked with more than we needed, very clean, and Melanie even left a basket of toiletries for our use in case we forgot anything. She was extremely helpful in finding things to do in the area, including the Saturday farmers' market and nice places to go out for drinks. The place is only about 10 minutes from downtown Albany in a car, or 30 minutes by city bus (which we used and can vouch was an easy one-shot trip). I highly recommend the place and would definitely stay there again.

    Emily2014-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apt was better than I expected. Melanie was a very gracious and accommodating host. Communication with her was very easy and she even gave me a personalized tour when I arrived. The apartment is very clean and well laid out, excellent lighting and decorative details! A very relaxing and cozy space in the heart of Watervliet. I found the neighborhood very quiet, which was great for long walks.

  • A nice appartment, very cosy and clean. Melanie is very kind and you feel really welcome! A nice place to stay and relax after a week in busy new york city!

    Jobke2014-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie’s place was lovely. It was exactly as advertised: charming, cozy, welcoming, and clean. There was a peacefulness and tranquility about it that really appealed to me; I felt as if I were in a home away from home. It had everything needed for a stay much longer than mine, which was just one night, and if I could have stayed longer I would have been able to settle in knowing the place provided whatever I could possibly have needed. I loved the brick walls and the hardwood floor, too. Melanie, incidentally, was always available via AirBnB messaging to answer every question I had, which also made the experience a positive one. The neighborhood had a friendly vibe, and there was a nice ice cream parlor just a block away where the visitor could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I make at least four trips a year to the Albany, NY, area, and Melanie’s will definitely be my choice of a place to say from now on.

  • I can't give enough praise to Melanie and her beautiful apartment, I was just basically passing through for the night with a couple hours to check out Albany, and she directed me to the best spots (especially for my time frame). The place itself was comfy, cozy, warm! (it was a paltry degrees Fahrenheit that night), and she put out teas for the morning and more than I could have even thought. After staying there I want to return and explore that part of the country more when I can, now that I know there is a place like this around.

This is a family home in a decent neighborhood. Email me for more photo's and specifics...
Depending on my schedule: You're bedroom may be Upstairs or the 1st floor where the shared bathroom is. Sometimes my children are home and the bath would be shared in that case. ( there is a 3/4 bath in the finished basement also)...We do work around your schedule and respect each others privacy....
This is an older established neighborhood, where parents may leave the home to family. We are walking distance to a convenience store, public transportation, a five minute drive to downtown troy, where there a plenty of good restaurants, night life, a 15 minute drive to Albany which offers concerts and just about anything you can think of...

Karen left some snacks and a bottle of water in the room for me. I had no pressure to leave by the checkout time of 10:00. I had a downstairs room that had a Q bed, WiFi, and a large screen TV. Karen is a friendly host.

This cozy sun-drenched studio has a huge bed (Cal king), a beautiful new kitchen, and an extra-deep soaking tub. It's in the very heart of Downtown Troy. Super close to RPI, EMPAC, The Troy Music Hall, The Farmers Market, and the Takk House. Whether you need a cozy romantic getaway or simply a clean, fresh, place to lay your head, the "Bird in Hand" will not disappoint.
The Bird in Hand studio is on the second floor of an 1870's building. The apartment overlooks a church yard, so you have a view of snow in winter and a garden with trees in the other seasons.
  • Igor is a fantastic host & his place is lovely. Located in close proximity to coffee shops & restaurants - just what we needed!

  • Very unique space with a lot of charm. Very easy check in.

    Andrew2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Igor's space is as described - modern and charming! We were in town for a wedding and the apartment was just around the corner from the venue (Lucas Confectionery). It was perfectly positioned for our needs, and a great landing spot to discover the developing arts district. We happened to be around for Troy night out and had a delicious dinner at peck's arcade, down the road. We enjoyed delicious morning coffee from 'little peck's" in the morning light of the apartment's enormous windows. The view overlooks St. Paul's famous Tiffany Windows across the street. The area was definitely lively on a weekend night - so perhaps a little noisy for those who sleep light or have little ones. We enjoyed the look of the space and the spacious bathtub as well as the unique loft of the bed, with windows overlooking a small park. Check in and out were easy and flexible, and Igor was there if we needed him, but not overly involved. Would definitely stay here again!

    Caitlin2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Igor was very responsive and provided many recommendations for things to do and eat around town. Very central location, right next to the farmers market that has the best pesto! Clean and comfortable apartment with the perfect bathtub.

  • The flat is great and Igor is a fantastic host! Would definitely stay at one of his properties again.

    Michael2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really adorable! Nicely decorated with a lot of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is great and fully stocked with pots and pans and dishes you'd need. The cupboards aren't stocked like a kitchen that's being used often so if you are cooking you may need some essentials (there are a few). The bathroom is great, beautiful tub that was sparkling clean was wonderful. The bed is much bigger than I thought from the pictures, very unique set up. Our favorite surprise was a pull down projector by the foot of the bed, we happened to have brought our Roku USB and were able to watch our favorite Netflix show on a big screen in bed- can't beat that. The AC was nice, but didn't reach the bed nook very well so I'd recommend a fan. The neighborhood isn't amazing but it is a quick walk to a few restaurants and coffee shops. I'm not sure we'll be heading back to Troy, but if we did we'd love to stay at Igor's place again.

  • Great place, great stay.

    Wenzhi2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Where to begin? Location: Rhe's apartment is in a beautiful building in the heart of residential downtown Troy - a short walk to incredible restaurants, boutiques, and the best Farmer's Market in all of upstate New York - outside of NYC, you won't find a better one. The neighborhood is charming, quiet at night, and friendly. Parking: Free. Onstreet. Parking. It's a thing of beauty! The furthest I had to park from the front door of the apartment was half a block. Amazing. Building: It's quiet, charming, cozy, safe, and homey. There are motion-activated lights on each level, which made leaving before sunrise and coming home after sunset a breeze. Apartment: I was staying there while working on a 10-day project for a client, and the apartment became my refuge and solace after 15-16 hour days - and what a refuge! The attached living / dining area give you room to move; the kitchen is the perfect size for preparing meals - and is amply stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, cutlery you'd need. (Rhe even provided me with some starter provisions in the fridge and some snacks, which just blew me away!) The bathroom is a perfect size (I'm 6-2, so some bathrooms seem tiny to me - not this one!) and off the living room there is a small patio/deck that you can access via the window which affords you a western view towards the Hudson River. So much storage/closet space. The bedroom is large and cozy....and the bed is so comfortable that I was tempted to try to sneak it out of the apartment and bring it home with me. Needless to say, I slept soundly and comfortably every night of my stay. Rhe provides numerous pillows of varying levels of firmness, too - so you'll be comfortable even if you don't bring your pillow from home. The linens/towels were perfect. Off the bedroom (to my surprise) is an office space with a desk. This apartment is perfect for a couple, and heaven for a single! :-) Temperature / Climate Control: The weather was all over the place while I was there (nothing to do with climate change, I'm sure....wink wink) and on warm days, the apartment was cool and airy. The few nights the temperature dipped low, the apartment felt cozy and warm. There are ceiling fans and a brilliant cross-draft that keep the air moving if needed - and also an A/C unit in the living room (didn't need it,but always nice to know it's there.) Hospitality: None better, hands-down. Rhe was a great communicator before, during, and at the end of my stay, always responding promptly and with kindness. During check-in, Rhe walked me through the entire apartment, and by the end of the tour I felt like I knew everything I needed to know for my stay. She made me feel at home instantly. Overall: If you are coming to Troy and are looking for a charming (in the truest, most heartfelt...

The apartment is a custom renovation, with myriad creative details, tucked away in North Troy. Well loved and well cared for, this apartment is full with beautiful art, great music, and a calming ambiance.
The space is a private room within our apartment separated from the living room by glass doors with a curtain.
North Troy is a wonderful quirky and lovable neighborhood home to The Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy Bike Rescue, Ingalls Avenue Boat Launch, The Hangar on the Hudson, and the Lansingburgh Bike Path. Admittedly, our block could be considered visually unappealing -- with our closest neighbors being car repair shops, a carwash, and a storefront evangelical ministry -- but we like to think it adds to our unique charm :)
  • Capers and Tonya are probably one of the most loving and welcoming people we have met. The space transmitted warmth and kindness while the hosts had been really helpful with our transition to the city of Troy. The distance from downtown is walkable and bus stops are conveniently located at right at the corner of the street. We definitely recommend a stay at this sweet place! Our stay has been much more delightful than we could ever imagined!

    Apostolos2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing, sunlit and quiet space. My brother and I enjoyed our stay very much. Capers and Tonya are very considerate and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Troy.

    Karen2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Arrived at 2am with my travel buddy and Capers was completely okay with it, as mentioned in the description. The place itself was wonderfully decorated and I loved the bathroom! Was a perfect place to stop on our road trip and wished we had more time to enjoy the place and the city!

    Priya2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Capers and Tonya are awesome people that keep a great little place (don't be fooled by the exterior). They were very accommodating and good-hearted to a fault. I would definitely recommend the place. The people even more so.

    Srinivas2016-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, creative space. The apartment has an incredible peace and energy to it. We had a quick but wonderful stay. Woke up feeling refreshed after a 9 hour drive. We would recommend this place to any others traveling through Troy or needing a little retreat.

    Brittany2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Host was awesome- very accommodating and friendly! The Air B&B guide in our room that they created was adorably helpful and the detailed info on the actual listing was clear and thorough. We had a very comfortable overnight stay and loved that the location was super clean and is convientantly located a block from the bus stop.

    Laurén2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful night's sleep! The room was clean and welcoming. Both Capers and Tonia were very accommodating and kind. I have never left a sleep away experience feeling like I had made real friends before!

    Maggie2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Capers was very welcoming. The quirky description is on-point, and I found it very endearing. The space was comfortable and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend their apartment to others. I have never been to Troy before, and it is a very small town, but it is full of great restaurants and cute, boutique-like shops. The apartment is within walking distance to downtown, and I found the area very safe.

Beautiful architecture, lots of restaurants, bars and shops.....pretty much everything! Located right on the Hudson River
  • Very cute place. Fits in with the artsy atmosphere of Troy. Convenient location, many shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Nice river walk close. I did read another reviewer’s comment about the neighbor’s apartment’s smoke smell coming into the bathroom, this was easily solved by turning on the bathroom vent fan. No complaints, we enjoyed our stay. And will stay here again.

    Lisa2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place has potential, however, I would not stay here again. It really needs updating, especially the bathroom, and a good cleaning!! The decor is not appropriate for some. If you're looking for a neat and tidy place, keep looking. There was rotting food in the refrigerator, there are no television channels, plants everywhere, dusty, the smell of cigarette smoke came into the apartment from an adjoining apartment. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

    Tammy2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed the décor, having the entire place to ourselves, and being able to walk to a lot of great restaurants. We didn't meet Katherine, but she was very friendly and responsive via text. Hope to be back in Troy again soon!

    Anne2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great! Unfortunately my significant other started having uncontrollable allergies from possibly the pet dander. Katherine was very understanding and allowed us to reduce the number of nights we stayed from 2 to 1 without any issues. Great host to communicate any concerns with.

    Kevin2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! The decor of the apartment is so nice. It feels lived in and cozy. And the location couldn’t be better, right in downtown Troy. It was perfect! We definitely will be seeing if this place is available next time we are in Troy.

    Elizabeth2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, the flat indeed is eclectice and Katherine's personality and great artistic taste and skill is evident everywhere. The central situation in downtown is pefect for access to the offerings nearby and despite being on a business trip, the moment I stepped back into the flat after a day of work, I felt I was at home..... even if it was not mine! I will be back!

    Glyn2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kate is really sweet! The flat is decorated very artistically and we enjoyed the beautiful hardwood floors and French doors that open out to look out over Troy's River street. This location is walking distance to many restaurants and shops, as it is right in the historic downtown district.

    Richärd2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Romen’s place! My boyfriend and I came down from nearby Saratoga for a 2 night staycation. The home has amazing touches, lots of unique and stylish pieces. There was plenty of space to relax and the apartment had everything we needed. There were little notes and tips around the apartment which was a great touch. We weren’t bothered at all by noise and found easy parking. Saturday we drove the few minutes to town to enjoy lunch and the Farmer’s Market, beautiful shops and restaurants. Romen has lots of coffee and tea as well as items needed for cooking in. We would definitely stay here again when looking to explore more of the area or just to hideaway in a beautiful space!

Walk to everything from my historic victorian rowhouse in the heart of hip, downtown Troy. This listing is for a quiet, private bedroom on the 3rd floor (walk up) that sleeps two in a queen bed. The bathroom with a clawfoot tub for baths only (no shower) is shared between guests. Dining room access in the morning for tea, coffee, fruit, muffins, etc. Possible access to deck off kitchen if weather allows and you don't mind small dogs. May not be suitable for small children.
This listing is for one bedroom with a queen bed on the third floor (walk-up) of my victorian rowhouse. There are 3 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. The bathroom is a common bathroom, be prepared to share, but chances are pretty good you'll be the only one except for RPI parent's weekend, alumni weekend, etc. I don't often rent out more than one room at a time except in very busy times. Clean towels and linens are provided. There is a clawfoot tub with a handheld shower only. NO STAND-UP SHOWER. Organic shampoo and conditioner provided.
You'll fall in love with the historic and charming downtown Troy. It's people are real, friendly and easy going and it's collection of victorian era architecture is stunning. I am in the best location for walking to everything downtown - unique shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, the library, post office, RPI, Russell Sage, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Empac and the Arts Center. The Renssalaer County Historical Society and Hart-Cluett mansion are directly across the street. There are several wellness studios here offering yoga, massage, reiki. Riverfront Park and Prospect Park and Washington Park are within walking distance. Our farmer's market is one of the best in the area and shouldn't be missed. Downtown is easily bikeable and there is an ongrowing movement for continued improvements to the cycle culture. There are cycling trails that will connect you with Albany and Schenectady and beyond. Albany, the state's capital is a 10 minute drive. Saratoga is about 45 minutes. Ski areas from 45 minutes away. We border Vermont, and the Berkshire area of Massachusetts.
  • Kathe's home is amazing, I can't say enough good things about it. She was very accommodating, warm and friendly to two stragglers staying for one night in Troy. The room and the private bathroom was perfect, big, beautiful and clean. She left breakfast out the next morning, a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

  • This house is awesome and house host is really kind !!! And really beautiful house !

    Youngtaeg2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I loved Kathe's home. It was so beautifully restored and decorated. It was a pleasure being in her environment. Although we shared a bath with other guests, we never saw them or even heard them. The location is ideal and right down the block from my favorite restaurant. Historic Troy is lovely and I can't wait to come back.

    Betsy2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • I don't tend to be someone whose plans change last minute but I was in town for a family emergency that ended up involving lots of changing and evolving plans. Kathe navigated it all with grace and ease and made a truly difficult week better by the comfort both she and her lovely place provided. Her space is a sanctuary and a home, but with the perfect balance of privacy as well. I'd recommend it to anyone (it's also walking distance to lots of cute and fun things to do around downtown Troy.)

    Rebecca2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Always a pleasure to stay at Kathe's row house. Great host, good communication and a perfect clean quiet room for a stay in Troy!

    Kevin2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my quick overnight stay in Kathe's beautifully decorated room! The location was great for visiting my son at RPI only 5 minutes away from the school. I loved the big quiet and comfy room located way up on the 3rd floor of the very spacious beautifully renovated building built in the 1800's. The nicest part was the big bathroom with the classic claw foot tub. Wish I could have stayed longer to see more of her Indigo Hair spa on the first floor. It was so nice for her to leave some of her products in the bathroom to try out. I would definitely stay there again sometime! Thank you Kathe!

    Donna2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was very kind and caring and made sure that we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated as per the photos posted on Airbnb. The Victorian rowhouse is located in the historic district of downtown Troy with plenty of good restaurants and shops to explore within walking distance. We had no problem extending our stay. We look forward to visiting Troy in the future and will definitely book again with Kathe.

    Irena 2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Kathe' place was very charming and extremely convinient. We were meeting our uncle half way between Montreal and New York and Troy was just coincedental. But a very memorable stay came out of our time at Kathe'. She was very patient and helpful is coordinating with the airbnb staff as we had some credit card trouble. Kathe' place is better than the pictures on the site. Its was quite an experience in living in such a vintage house and Kathe has done every bit to preserve the look and feel of the place. Thank you very much for hosting us. Sheena bought some of your products at the farmer' market and loved it. Best wishes.

    David2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tina does a great job making the guest feel at home. The house was built in 1892 and the woodwork and fireplaces are from that time. The rooms and bathrooms have been remodeled. The house was built by my Great Grandmothers' parents and three generations grew up here. Tina has restored a piece of Troy history that people can continue to enjoy for years to come. I'm waiting for my next trip to the area so I can book early.

The Italianate plaster molding is more beautiful to us than owning a Picasso or Monet. Our neighborhood has been designated as a NYS historic district that is called Historic 5th Avenue. It and the Washington Park area have led the way for neighborhood revitalilzation and restoration all around Troy. In addition, Troy's vibrant early American history was key to America's and the world's industrialization. Architecture and History buffs will love Troy.
  • Beverly was a very gracious host. We felt very welcome and at home during our stay. This home was very well kept and perfect for us.

  • This was our second time renting from Jim and Beverly. It's a lovely place and we would happily rent from them again if we were to return to the area. They were courteous and helpful hosts with a strong desire to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

  • Beverly and Jim are very gracious hosts. Their apartment is very comfortable and quiet and they strive to make you feel at home (away from home). I highly recommend it and will definitely stay their again when I have the opportunity.

  • Great Place to live and enjoy the Troy NY area. After a month I would highly recommend the clean and comfortable apartment and the gracious hosts, Beverly and her daughter Therese. Close to everything, like a breath of fresh air but still in town. Thanks Beverly for everything Fred

  • Terrific space, comfortable, spotless, private, with all amenities as described. Historic Presbyterian church and renovated brownstones out front door, enclosed garden with barbecue for dining out back door. Dedicated laundry was big plus. We played tennis daily at nearby Prospect Park, walked two blocks to best coffee, bakeries, restaurants, brew pub (also a new tap room just blocks away). Another block to the Hudson River, exceptional outdoor farmer's market on Saturdays (continues indoors year-round), "Yoga in the Park" every Tuesday and "Rockin on the River" weekly music festival-Troy loves to celebrate summer. We even stumbled onto free Shakespeare "Much Ado-" performance in nearby church court yard during an evening stroll...put on by Troy Civic Theatre Company. Jim and Beverly were simply delightful-easy and welcoming, always available by phone or text, and guided us to the best of Troy and some other hidden gems of the area (Clark Collection 40 minutes away, Park Playhouse outdoor theatre in Washington Park and Capitol Repertory Theatre, both in Albany, a 10 minute drive from Troy). With all there is to see along the Hudson, we never had time to use the bikes or Kayak which they graciously offered....definitely next time! This was stay in which the city and our hosts far exceeded our expectations, would definitely stay with them again.

  • Beverly & Jim are gracious host. They are friendly and available without being intrusive. The apartment was very homey, comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. It even was decorated for Christmas which is a very nice touch. The location in Historic Downtown Troy is conveniently in close proximity to; shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment. Also it's easily accessible to major highways, to travel to to other destinations in the Capital Region It is our hope to stay there again on another occasion. The apartment has a nice homey feel which made the holidays feel like they should warm and cozy.

  • What a wonderful experience! The apartment is spotless, tasteful, fresh and well equipped. We usually have difficulty finding wine glasses in short term rentals but Beverly has assured that glasses for both red and white wine are available as well as a French press coffee maker. We quickly felt very much at home. Beverly is gracious and available for helpful advice. We very much enjoyed our conversations with her. The neighborhood is very convenient and it is an easy walk to everything downtown Troy has to offer. Beverly made off-street parking available and gave us a helpful reminder about the early morning street sweeping. We hope to be able to stay in this apartment on subsequent trips to Troy and I would recommend it to anyone. This listing is a great bargain.

  • Jim & Beverly's place was just as advertised and just right for what we needed -- comfortable and well located. We were very happy with their place!

This light filled apartment is right in the heart of Historic Downtown Troy, close to shops, great restaurants and the legendary Troy Farmer's Market. The apartment is stylishly furnished by two architects to make your visit one to remember.
Welcome to this urban retreat in the heart of Troy, NY! We were inspired to curate this apartment in a way that made it feel like a luxurious boutique hotel with charming conveniences and unexpected details. Each room in the apartment is styled with its own unique character and mood that we hope will incite your curiosity in different ways. The White Room is bright, optimistic, and not without a sense of humor. The Library Suite and adjoining Living Room are elegant and mysterious - some might even say romantic : ). The Kitchen and Dining Room have charm and spunk to spare, and the bathroom is like a calming oasis - a tiny, tiny oasis. My husband and I are a design and Architecture team that are deeply inspired by the beauty and timelessness of this great small american city. This apartment resulted from our sincere appreciation for Troy and our desire to give back to a city that has been so hospitable to us in our short time living here. We hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we have. Disclaimers: We wanted to inform you of our apartment's quirks in case this apartment might not be a good fit for certain guests. - This classic beauty of a building is old and thus creaky. The floor boards will let us all know when people are walking around. While this is common for old homes of this area, it might not suit our more sensitive guests. - As comes with a building of this age, many conventional features have their "character" - ie. windows are not soundproof and locks are sometimes tricky. Please consider this when booking our place. -The apartment layout is meant for families or friends comfortable with sharing space. As you can see from the photos, one of the bedrooms is open to the living room. There is a common hallway that can be used so as to not disturb sleeping family members. - Parking: It is typically fairly easy to find parking on the street, and right on our block. However, if there are events, it may take a bit longer to secure a spot. Please be sure to read the parking signs. There are also parking garages available within a few blocks.
Downtown Troy is a Great American City on the Hudson! There are plenty of things to do on your visit and the apartment is right in the heart of it all. The world famous Troy Riverfront Farmer's Market is the place to be every Saturday. There you can try delicious local produce, cheeses, pickles, pastas, candles, and other goodies while enjoying a wonderful live band. There are plenty of delicious restaurants and fun bars around. The Troy Savings Hall has a variety of events to choose from throughout the year. Right next door, The Takk House, also hosts many fun parties, concerts, and community gatherings worth attending. Our favorite places for food, wine, coffee, and drinks: Lucas Confectionery Superior Merchandise Co. Peck's Arcade The Shop Plumb Oyster Bar Next Level at The Ruck Ilium Cafe The Daily Grind The Placid Baker Sliddin' Dirty Brown's Brewing Co. RareForm For shopping, we love the following: Forage + Sundry (right downstairs!) Superior Merchandise Anchor No. 5 Boutique Culinary Square The Maker's Market
  • This location is described as a Charming Urban Retreat. Let me say, that description is perfect. This location is fantastic for many of the Troy eatery's, shops and even nightlife. It is a very clean and homey location and the owners were very responsive and welcoming. I recommend this location to anyone who is looking to enjoy their stay in Troy.

  • Kyle was there to meet us & help with our luggage. Communication was good. Parking was a problem bc of roadwork. A little miss communication & not understanding the signs resulted in a $50 parking ticket. Apartment was clean & spacious. Convenient area with restaurants & shops close by, however the street noise at night wasn't the best for a good nights sleep.

  • it was great we loved staying there and the people were sooo nice.

    Jeremiah2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very beautifully and creatively decorated. The bed that I slept in was firm and very comfortable. Graciela and Kyle were very friendly and checked up with us as the date got closer, and responded quickly to our questions when we had them. Kyle gave us a tour of the apartment when we arrived. I liked the spacious feel of kitchen/dining room, and the natural light coming in the windows of the living room and bedrooms. The view from the windows facing the street is nice too. It's in center of Troy, but also across from a beautiful garden.

    Eric2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Graciela was very welcoming and greeted us with recommendations in the neighborhood we appreciated very much. The town is lovely and every single place she mentioned was amazing. We will be back!

This is a detached cozy home built in 1900. We have a very friendly dog and are located withing walking distance of the downtown Troy nightlife and Russel Sage college. RPI is a short drive away. The room is private, but the bathroom, kitchen, and living space are shared. We also have an office for your use if needed. We are a dog optional home. Additionally there is a private outdoor courtyard with a fire pit and two grills.

  • Kyle and Elena are wonderful hosts that went out of their way to make me feel right at home. Also, Marbles the Dog was a big highlight for me. The room, and their home is welcoming, clean and comfortable. They are located within walking distance to many shops, eateries and attractions.

  • Nice and warm house, marbles the dog is very firend and adorable.

    Kevin2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kyle and Elena are really cool people with a beautiful house and the biggest yet cutest dog ever!!! Live here for the dog if nothing else! They were super easy going about everything, always eager to help and more than willing to share their food with you: nobody does that haha! Anyway...I had a great time! Additionally, there is a cool office space in the attic for working, or one can work at the downstairs kitchen table too. Office space gets a little hot in the summer, but otherwise, no regrets!

I'm sure next time when we will visit Troy we will stay in your beautiful house.
