“Driving up in to the Waitakere ranges gives some scenic views all the way back to Auckland. This is a lovely area of rainforest walks, including the Fairy falls. The Aarataki visitor center is worth a visit if you're in the area. The Waitakere dam walk is also well worth doing.”

“Drive on Bethells Beach Road to Find the Lake Wainamu Car Park. Then you can Walk over the Sand Dunes to the Lake, I would sugest walking in the shallow stream on the L/H Side. Swim in the lake, or walk 1/2 way around the lake to Wainamu Falls, and have a swim in the pools”
