“This small Hawaiian chain is quite well stocked with whatever and Aloha. It has a small-town local feel with really friendly people. Employees are easy to find for help and will often walk you to the item. Customer Service Counter is always maned. They have a deli and hot food take-out which is fresh and tasty as well as full line of groceries, produce, personal items, a pharmacy and Red Box. The bathrooms are to the right at the front door. Bakery items are good except the donuts. (go to Safeway for these). ”

“Beautiful views at the top. I took my kids who were 10 years old at the time and they did this trail, no problem. Again if it is wet the mud makes it much trickier. Pick a dry day to hike.”

“Rent a kayak or stand up paddle board from shops next to the river. You can take a tour or do it independently. Families, be advised that it take roughly 2 hours to paddle up the river to the grotto. So fun and beautiful!”
