Vacation Rentals in Italy

Just booked in Valdipino

This small lovely bedroom is perfect for a short staying. The view from it is Amazing and the location is very quiet. A fresh breakfast is included and is served at bar "pan e vin", where Cristiana works, at just three minutes far walking.
It's a small double bedroom with private bathroom, balcony with a very nice sea view, refrigerator, hair dryer, tv, enternet wi fi inside the room. Enternet access wi fi free is also at bar "pan e vin", very close the room, where Cristiana works with her housband and where breakfast is served. This room is perfect for a short staying, especially for people who like to walk, to swim, and to visit all the village of cinque terre. Of fact the room is very close at the start of the footpath to Vernazza and then to Monterosso and in the other direction to Manarola, through "costa da posa" and Volastra where is possible to admire beautiful scenery of sea, vineyards, olive trees. The best way to came here is by train; From la Spezia, by train is just 15 minutes and then from Corniglia's train station is possible to walk (10/15 minutes) or take the shuttle bus (just five minutes): then from the bus stop take the little way, Via Fieschi, in between the ATM and the restaurant "dau tinola" and then in about 70 metres you will find the bar "pan e vin".
The room is located in Via Serra, a small pedestrian way on direction to the footpath to Vernazza. At our cafe "pan e vin" is possible to have a delicious wine tasting with three quality of 5 terre wine + cheeses+ salami and bread for 11,00 euro. From the room, in two minutes you'll be at "restaurant cecio", a very good typical restaurant and in three/five minutes to all the other restaurants.
  • One of the most amazing places we have ever found on Airbnb. You can sit on the terrace, drink a bottle of Cinque Terre white wine, and watch the sun set over the Mediterranean. Cristiana is a wonderfully friendly host. This place is a must-stay, I'd go back in a second.

  • Corniglia is a gem amongst the 5 terres - much more peaceful and less overwhelmed by daytrippers - it has a wonderful small town charm that one immediately feels upon arrival. The climb up from the station is daunting but there is a regular shuttle bus service to ease the pain. Cristiana has been a wonderful host and has gone out of her way to ease us in; picking us up at the train station, arranging for alternative breakfast for us as Bar Pan e Vin was closed for the time we were there and giving us helpful pointers on navigating Cinque Terre. The views out of the room is nothing short of spectacular. Overlooking the main town from across the street (and the town centre a mere couple of minutes stroll away) the quaint french windows and cosy balcony perfectly frames Corniglia. The view is especially spectacular at sunset. Definitely the best place to stay in Corniglia and I dare say Cinque Terre.

  • Cristiana and her husband Stetano are amazing!!! Cristiana is so quick to respond to emails. Also, they own an adorable cafe and you can always find them there if you need anything. They are so welcoming and kind, my husband and I felt so comfortable, like we were old friends. We didn't want to leave!! Her room was so clean and cozy and had an amazing view. Also, her included breakfast was delicious. We got stuck in town and Stefano was able to give us a ride to the train station further away. What a savior! I really cannot say enough great things about this host. We cannot wait to come back and would not ever stay with anyone else!!! Do not hesitate to book with her!!!

  • Christiana was absolutely the loveliest and most welcoming host! Our room was very small but the charm, cleanliness and VIEW more than made up for its size. Corniglia was charming and sweet and Christiana made our stay there easy and unforgettable. We hope to be back very soon and for a lot longer!

    Molly2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Corniglia was perfect! Cristiana and her husband were very friendly! The apartment was as expected with a great view! I highly recommend it! Thank you Cristiana!

  • Very nice, small room with very nice balcony and view. The room was clean and perfect for our short stay. Cristiana is a friendly, warm and open person. I felt like home qickly. Thanks a lot Cristiana for the warm welcome.

  • This was a wonderful place to stay! Corniglia was by far the best town in Cinque Terre. The room was simple, yet perfect for what we wanted. Great views of the town and sea. Cristiana and her husband were wonderful hosts! There was a rail strike on the day we were trying to leave and Cristiana spent a long time helping us find a way out. Her husband got up at 6am to drive us to the station and was going to drive us 40 minutes away but we found a ride before he could take us. A perfect getaway spot!

    Colin2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Do not get intimidated by the steps you have to climb to reach the village. You can always take a bus from the station to the village. Such a peaceful and beautiful little town. The room was small but spic and span. It was maintained very well; the bathroom was clean too. Best thing was that hot water was available throughout. It was a blessing. The view from the room is truly breathtaking and what you see in the photos is what you get. Cristiana was helpful and proactively gave us suggestions on what to do for the next day. We just loved this place.

  • Nice and quiet place. Cordial host. Sunny living room. Lovely view on the surrounding mountains.

  • The house was beautiful and well equipped. But it is cold (to 30 October, despite a request to have the heating, because the child was ill, we were at 17 degrees), it lacks any kind of necessities (there's a little sugar, salt, a sachet of tea, or coffee) and there are no shops in the village. The house has no shutters or blackout curtains (and therefore to the 6:00 am plenty of daily light). Moreover, contrary to the initial agreement (check out 12:00), Mrs. Elizabeth came to us to say that we had to leave the house compulsorily before 10:00 in the morning. So all in all we must say that although Mr. Alberto and Lorenzo were friendly and punctual the hardships encountered have influenced the quality of service.

    Luisa2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house and very nice hosts. Alberto and Elizabeta made our stay unique! I definitely recommend! :)

  • 1.The host forgot the key at home and he obligated to have ladder to climb in the house ...... 2.The neighbor relationship seems bad with the host , They argued each other when the host tried to open the house ,and after the neighbor made an obstacle between the gardens when we arrived and used the body language to my parents to make them understand that it is forbidden to entrer . We felt treated as thief …….. 3. Equipements were completes however the washing machine is shared with host as when we arrived in the house , the machine was running for the host …. 4.The village is 35 mins to Levanto and 20 mins to Le Spezia , good for visiting 5 terres if you didn't find a hotel in high season. However ,the road to the village is not easy . 5.Hard to find a parking place even the host was nice as he proposed to give his parking place to me . But as it is a small village , the parking places are limited and do not think about a place close to the house .

  • Beautiful house! Great value for money and perfect if you want to visit cinqueterre! In my opinion, only possible to get to if you have a car but lovely place to stay.

The apartment has all been renovated and you feel very comfortable in it, the bathroom is great. PS: Make sure you play the italian singer CD from the stereo to really feel you are in Italy :)

  • The place is not far from La Spezia but you need to use the car. The house is great and clean! Next to the house is a supermarket and in front a nice cafe for breakfast with good Italian coffee.. A bit further in the street, in the direction of La Spezia (5 minutes walk) is a nice restaurant from a older man and woman, they serve great food and are really kind! Thanks again for the great stay!

  • The appartement was perfect, clean and well located. The terasse was super quiet and sunny. Massimiliano is the perfect host, he helped us for our journey to Cinque Terre. Thank you both Massimiliano and Gian Luca. We ll be back.

    Lorraine2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Apparment very modern and cool, all was clean and it has all the things for cooking. The bathroom had towels and was very clean. The views of the mountains are incredible and the place was really quiet. Is necessary a car for going to the train station and then for going to Cinque Terre, but was so near!

    Mario2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice decorated flat in a quiet lovely area. I didn t have the chance to know Massimiliano in person even though he always answered my messages and doubts at any time.

    Caroline2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a clean and well decorated appartment. All necessary ammneties are in place. Has a big nice terrace to enjoy scenery. Gian was easy to communicate with. He recommended some nice places to visit. Highly recommendable stay if traveling by car.

  • The house is beautiful and Gian Luca was very kind with us. All furnishings in the house are new and the house was very clean. The house is better than we expected. It is a very good place to go by car because it is close to Monterosso al Mare and Vernazza which allows you to visit Cinque Terre by spending the day in each place.

    Riccò del Golfo, Liguria, Italy

Apartment in typical Medieval village 20 minutes drive from the Cinque Terre and 15 from La Spezia. A few minutes from the trail that connects Riccò del Golfo to the Cinque Terre. The town of Ponzò is very characteristic, it is surrounded by nature and enjoys a splendid view of the valley below.
The house has a kitchen with oven, fridge and microwave, large living room with table, sofa and TV, two bathrooms, one with shower and two bedrooms. Finally, it has a terrace and a balcony ideal for sunbathing or an aperitif and for relaxing while admiring the village and the church of San Bartolomeo built in 1000 AD
The village of Ponzo 'where the house is located is a medieval village rich in history. Since the year 1000 it has been mentioned in the books as the seat of the Ponzo Lords, which at the time dominated the surrounding area, also controlling La Spezia. Today it is a beautiful village of about 100 inhabitants surrounded by nature on top of a hill: it enjoys a unique climate and peace.
  • It was really a wonderful vacation! The location, house and neighbours are more than great - so it's just perfect, if you want to live like a real Italian! Love it so much !!

Quaratica is a small town located between mountains in Val di Vara Park in the Ligurian interland but really near to the sea of the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro and Fiascherino. At about 350 meters on the sea level you find the apartment, small but eficient and complete by the necessary for two people to have some quiet days .
In the village of Quaratica in Val di Vara on the way to the Cinque Terre rent a small apartment house of two rooms on the ground floor consists of room with double bed, double room with living room and kitchenette (with fireplace) and small bathroom with shower. The apartment is equipped with kitchen, fridge/freezer, TV, free wifi connection. The apartment is reachable by car highway exit La Spezia-S.Stefano di Magra or by bus which runs from the central train station. For the Cinque terre by car starting from Quaratica towards Riccò del Golfo/Pignone/Cinque Terre you can enjoy through the beautiful scenic route. The beaches and the villages of the Cinque Terre, Lerici and Portovenere are reachable within 30 minutes by car. You can do rafting and paragliding sport hiking trails (a stone's throw from the house) of the Val di Vara for the Cinque Terre. The apartment is situated in the beautiful medieval village of Quaratica about 8 minutes drive from the city of La Spezia and 8 minutes from the municipality of Riccò del Golfo.
  • Welcome was terrific as our hosts had arranged someone to meet us who was very helpful and gave us some good local information. Apartment was comfortable and clean.

  • Nice clean little house in the middle of the hills :) no problems with communication, very nice guy!

  • It was really great. Wonderful clean home. Angelo was extremely nice and easy to work with. Just a heads up, definitely easiest to access if one has a car.

    Josh2013-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Angelo was quick to respond. He also accomodated our request for an earlier check-in. The apartment is small but has the neccessities, however a few more cooking utensils would have been useful. High humidity so things stay damp! Cell reception inside is challenging but a bit better just outside the apartment. Situated on top of a hill, very quite and private but did not find any shops in the village. Buy and bring anything you may need in La Spezia! Glad we drove as the bus service runs only every 6hrs! Great if you want a place off the beaten path.

    Elsie2014-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for just 1 day while visiting cinque terre. Very interesting place if you want some place nice and quiet. An additional extra was the fact that the village of Quaratica was just having a culinary event. We recommend it!

    Steven2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and cozy apartment in the little mountain village Quaratica. Everything was as described in the announcement; a great place to stay. The environment is just amazing!

    Hannes2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything perfect! Did not meet him in person but the communication was without any problems. The flat is lovely and made us feel home immediately. Thanks to the car the remote location was a plus. The bus runs only three times a day, but this would work well too.

    Jann2014-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Angelo and Kiara were both amazing hosts, incredibly sweet and definitely added to our experience at cinque terre. The apartment was nice and cozy and very clean! Perfect for a getaway.

The house is on a hill, Riccò del Golfo, in a quiet but not isolated, 7 km from the railway station of La Spezia: 10 minutes by train for the Cinque Terre. Nearby the pearls of the Gulf of Poets: Portovenere, Lerici and Tellaro. The house is ideal for 4 people looking to relax. It is situated on two levels: in the kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower, large terrace with parasol, table, chairs, barbecue, above a bedroom with bathroom and one with 2 single beds.
Comfortable for four people, it is available on request cot. The second room, normally with two single beds, on request can be used as a second bedroom.
The tranquility, the silence of the countryside and the cool evening make it the ideal accommodation to regain energy after intense beach days and for a break before jumping into the evening city nightlife. The town of Riccò Gulf still offers all the important services: grocery stores, pharmacy, post office, bank, bars, restaurants and pizzerias, gas station.

A recommander!

A recommander.

Rural building on three levels with private terrace and public parking. The restoration has retained its original historical features, with exposed beams in wood, stone to the walls (maybe it can cause some dust) and terracotta floors. Clean air and fresh air in summer for the presence of trees. Satellite TV, home theater, blur-ay, WI-FI. The beautiful countryside and the green, not far from the sea. Car is neaded!
The accommodation is in a typical Ligurian village and is about 30 minutes drive from the 5 Terre (Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore) and about 15 minutes from La Spezia Centrale station. It is advisable to use a car for travel.
Typical Ligurian village of '600 d.c. This is a village of peasant country immersed in the green a few Km from the sea
  • The host was very hospitable and nice! He explained everything perfectly and his home was absolutely beautiful. We look forward to visiting again. Massimo has done a great job with the restoration and the home had everything you need.

    Alessandro2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Massimo was very friendly and helpful, even leaving prosecco and ice cream for us!! His place is a cute old stone house that has been very nicely renovated, and comfortably furnished. The village is very peaceful and was a great base to explore the Cinque Terre region from, especially if you want to avoid the crowds of tourists in the Cinque Terre villages! Massimo also left out maps, leaflets etc and gave us advice about where to visit which was very helpful. Highly recommended, all round.

    Katharine2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Massimo's place is very well decorated house with everything you need. You don't have to bring anything from home. There is even a really good coffee machine, a sound system where we could plug in our iPhones and a very well organized waste system (we could learn from this in the Netherlands :)) . The interior is a great mixture of old versus new. We loved it! It's a really lovely quiet little town which is based on top of the hills. The nearest big town La Spezia is easily accessible (by car). From here you can access all the cinque terra towns with the train. If you want to visit another quiet, local beach area we advise you to go to Bonassola, which is also easily accessible by train. No doubt that you're gonna love it ass well.

  • We went there during the low season with our 2 kids of 3 and 5. The place was very quiet, clean, well equipped and we could park our car easily. It made things easy, and we had a great stay. Gianmarco (Massimo’s brother) was very nice.

    Claire2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is located in a quiet area in a small old town with easy access to the towns in Cinque Terre. The apartment was quite beautiful and well equipped. We would've liked to have stayed even longer if we hadn't had obligations on in the next place. Massimo's sister met us and showed us the apartment as well as gave us recommendations where to go to eat nearby, find the supermarket, bank and all other necessities. We truly enjoyed the stay and look forward to finding the opportunity to come back!

  • My wife and I have been traveling through Europe for over a month and this Airbnb is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. The house was beautifully remodeled, and you could not ask for a better location, very quiet little village with great views and not far from Cinque Terre by car. We even extended our stay by 3 days because we didn't want to leave. We cannot thank our host enough, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

  • Great house in a very small village ... careful restored with a lot of modern comfort and an amazing pleasant athmosphere Massimo was a very kind and helpful host. He was accessible around the clock and was on the spot when necessary. Gave us the feeling being part of the family ... thanks for that, Massimo !

  • Massimo is a great host! We got lost and he came and found us and led us to his lovely place way up in the hills, and very secluded.. the house is very well equipped, spacious and comfortable! It's about a 30 minute drive to La Spezia where we caught the train to visit Cinque Terre. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area...a welcome retreat after full days of exploring. We highly recommend Massimo's beautifully designed house! Thank you Massimo!

  • This was the greatest Airbnb experience of all time. I need to shout it off of a rooftop. Paula and Alfre were the sweetest most generous hosts, our mouths were open the whole time at the entire experience. They showed us the area like they were family and toured us. The place was exactly as described if not better, the communication was excellent, they are angelic. They created our itinerary as we only had tentative plans once we arrived. It was amazing to meet them. MAJOR plus: the cleanliness, the comfort and the communication with hosts.

  • Paola and family are so lovely, kind, generous and helpful. Their neighborhood is peaceful with some great views. The apartment is clean, lovely, spacious, quiet and completely stocked. Nice for families, too. It's on the same property as their home. They were available any time we needed and made sincere effort at communications in English, with electronic translators, if we needed them! They were so generous to take us back and forth to La Spezia train station, so we could visit the Cinque Terre and surrounding area. If we had a week, this would be a great place to spend it, with a car for a few days to see the outlying areas. Glad we didn't stay in the Cinque Terre areas. We had quiet nights and wonderful days hiking there. If we return, this will be our first choice for accommodations.

    Molly2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Paola's apartment! She was so kind and helpful, and gave us loads of great tips for day trips. The apartment ist just as beautiful as in the pictures, and very clean. We were even provided with cake & cookies and there were basic supplements like coffee and tea and oil in the kitchen. Highly recommended, we would come again anytime!

    Blu2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is our best Airbnb experience we've ever had! We were surprised to see so beautiful house for this value. We fell in love in it and the terrace, where we had breakfast every morning. The kitchen, the bedroom and even the towels - everything was great, extremely clean and made with care and love. But the greatest thing that we appreciated so much is Paola and her family hospitality. They were so kind and careful to us, always ready to solve all our problems. When my husband caught cold, Paola even cooked her special vegetable soup for him and gave many other helpful things that immediately cured him. We are happy and grateful to meet such great people. And finally, the area itself and its surroundings are just a fairytale. After a long trip in Italy, this place is where we really wish to come again and spend some more time.

The town of Riccò del Golfo, the southernmost of the Val di Vara, has expanded significantly, from the ridge of the Cinque Terre on the borders of the municipalities of La Spezia, Pignone, Beverino and Follo. In addition to the chief town, located just five kilometers from La Spezia, fractions enrich the territory: Bovecchio, Camedone, Caresana, Carpena, Box, Debbio, Porcale, Graveglia, Pian di Barca, Ponzò, Quaratica, San Benedetto and Valdipino. You can move freely in this part of Liguria, in different times and places, switch from landscapes to those most citizens still largely rural. Coming from La Spezia, we find Carpena, a quiet village of a hundred inhabitants, is reached through the Via Aurelia, the ring road south of the Step of the Mouth. Proceeding towards Riccò Gulf, and leaving the Aurelia, we find the road that that leads to Val Graveglia, Debbio and Polverara. We return on the Aurelia and find directions to Porcale and Quaratica. From the capital detaches the way for Valdipino and box, while further upstream a short path leads to Ponzò and Bovecchio.
  • Giorgio is very friendly, open and always available and happy to help you. She really cares about her guests and is eager to give you advise on any matter. To be honest the flat is a little off the beaten track but that really doesn't matter if you're travelling by car. Plus, the flat is very spacious, clean and freshly renovated. You even have your own patio, barbecue and little garden. We can definitely recommend staying with Giorgia!

    Susanne2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Giorgia's place wasn't pleasant. After asking for a late check-in, Giorgia left the key on he door as it was convenient to all of us. But she also closed one of the bathrooms and one of the rooms because she thought we didn't need them since we were only two. Leaving us with the smallest most ridiculous bathroom of them two. After realizing that the bathroom wasn't nice, we texted her to ask her to come back the day after to open everything we paid for. She was reluctant but still came and opened the bathroom that was in fact still dirty from the last guests (hair all over). Everyday Giorgia asked us on (Hidden by Airbnb) (which also felt kind of harassing) if the gardener could come in the morning and when we would leave if so, we felt pressured all the time. The last day we said she was pressuring us and she replied that it was also for our pleasure (even though it was kind of obvious we didn't care about the garden) and that she didn't make us pay for the late check-in (when it wasn't mentioned anywhere and was convenient to her too). The appartement was pretty but it wasn't clean. We felt pressured the whole time. Giorgia wasn't very honest. Oh and we're still looking for the breakfast that was mentioned in the description.

    Erika2017-07-12T00:00:00Z

  • The house located in a beautiful and peaceful residential area in the mountain. It has two floors with all the bedrooms upstair. We are travelling with Mom, so it's great that we can have a good chat in the living area without worrying about disturbing her. It's better to have car but if you are organised. You can travel to Cinque Terre by public transport. Stefania is a good host. She give us good recommendation about local restaurant and provide all the spice we need for cooking. She always tries to accommodate our request. We have a good time there.

    Ying2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stefania and Antonio welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment answering any questions we had. The apartment itself is placed in a lovely and quiet location with a stunning view of the surrounding hills, something we enjoyed every evening. The apartment has all the basics for a weeks' stay, was nice and clean and had spacious and comfortable bedrooms (with stunning views). The location is ideal as it is very easy to reach using the main highways and has good road connections to the surrounding areas. A huge shopping mall and supermarket were only 10 minutes drive away, beaches were 15-20 minutes drive, our favourite at San Terenzo and Lerici. The only thing is that you will need a car to get around in this areas easily, there is public transport but we didn't use it. All in all we have enjoyed our stay at Stefania's and can recommend the apartment for anyone wishing to explore a very picturesque location.

Private parking, spacious hall, it stays cool inside, excellent hot shower and nice 3 balconies. The house is close to 5 terra, La Spezia and the nice beach place for children and adults Levanto, The hospitality of Alberto and Annemaria is fantastic, nice pickup , easy communication and quick support. thanks for all your kindness and the wonderdull time. Best regards Anne, Julien, Max, Lucius and Dux

  • Anna Maria was very understanding with our last minute booking. She gave us the information we needed to get around town and we were not disappointed with her recommendations on what to see. The house is comfortable and spacious. It's set in a small town on a busy street. It can be noisy but you couldn't hear the cars from the bedroom. There's a small market and fruit store in walking distance for basic groceries. We were very glad that we chose to stay here instead of La Spezia. The air is more pleasant to breathe! We also had a car so the 15 minute drive to the La Spezia station wasn't a big deal. Free parking here is a plus. We were a group of 5 and everyone slept well; I was the only one who had trouble falling asleep because the mattress was too soft. We all have our preferences so it may not be a big problem for others! Anna Maria was very welcoming and genuine! Thank you for your help and hospitality!

Modern, comfortable, renovated studio flat on the ground floor. It's surrounded by big mountains, and it's the perfect place to spend your free time thanks to the fresh air. You can enjoy the sea and the mountains because the first beach is just 11 km far from the base. The best apartment to go to Lerici, Tellaro, Portovenere, 5 lands and Versillia by car, bus and train. Moreover is the lovely place for who loves trekking, nature, and sea.
You can stay on the terrace where there are a table and seats to eat outside, or you can stay inside where there is a beautiful kitchen. Are present the dishes and pots. The living room is too bright to take relax on the sofa in front of the smart TV. After a nice sea, mountain and sun day you can sleep on the comfortable bed and sofa. In the base there are a dry hair, an iron, air condition, heating, and the fridge.
In the hamlet there aren't activity but the La Spezia city is about 2,5 km from it. In San Benedetto (1,5 km) you can find a market, a butcher shop, a pizza restaurant, a newsstand and a hairdresser. In the end, there is a shopping mall named "Le Terrazze" (2,5 km), and it offers a lot of services like: clothes shopping, supermarket, restaurants, covered parkings, a gym, a swimming pool and a plenty of bars.
  • The studio is very nice, the location is in the mountains, 15 minutes drive to La Spezia. Matteo is adorable, very sweet and he arranged everything for us to feel good. The only negative point : the only sunlight you can get while inside the flat comes from the front door if you let it open (the studio is on the ground floor), there is no real window.

  • Stay in Matteo's place was truly amazing. House was completly equipted with all the things one needs for the stay and it was immaculate. Quite, green area of Porcale is located 10minutes by car from town La Spezia which is a place from which Cinque Terre is easy to reach by train. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience beautiful stay in real Italy.

  • A nice apartment in a quiet mountainous area. Nice, sympathetic host. Next to the Cinque Terre National Park and many other interesting places.

    Dmitri2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
Ho trovato l'host molto disponibile. Secondo me sconsigliato per chi non vuole muoversi in auto. Perfetto per due persone. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chi, come noi, vuole visitare muovendosi in auto.

From the moment you enter the quaint medieval village of Castè you will be wrapped in a small spell. The country, completely stone and recently brought back to the ancient splendor, represents the typical example of Ligurian Podesteria. Surrounded by woods and located on top of a terraced hill with the traditional "dry walls of the 5 Lands", it is ideally located for those who love to go for long walks in the green for both sea lovers or nearby art cities.
Located on the noble floor of an ancient rural building, the stylishly furnished accommodation features a large bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and panoramic terrace with a unique view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The building is housed in a complex of old Corte Paganini, which is available to guests with tables, deckchairs and umbrellas for their moments of relaxation
Thanks to the dense network of paths to which the village is connected, they are within easy reach of the tourist resorts of Portovenere, Riomaggiore and, in the future, also Monterosso and Levanto.
  • Gianni & Antonella could not have done anything more to make our stay better or more comfortable! Best air bnb we have ever stayed in. They kindly transported us to and from La Spezia as we didn't have a car and were glad to show us local things of interest along the way - including the fireflies and best scenic spots. They also recommend wonderful restaurants where the food was delicious. They were very friendly to us and we cannot recommend their house more highly (amazing beautiful views).

    Emily2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation was everything it was advertised to be. The place was small but it had all the amenities needed. The views were amazing from our balcony. The place is so peaceful. The hosts were lovely, warm and kind and gave as much needed advice on the whereabouts. Highly recommended.

    Ryan2017-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Gianni's place! Completely different from anywhere else we stayed on this trip, it's located in a tiny tiny village about a 15 minute drive from La Spezia. The village is picture postcard beautiful, as is the fabulous valley view from the apartment itself. The pictures online don't really do this justice. The place is an old family apartment remodeled in 2012, so has modern conveniences including an excellent bathroom and a comfortable large bed. Gianni and Antonella are lovely, charming, and went to great lengths sharing tips and recommendations about the entire area, including things we wouldn't have otherwise thought of doing. They were like having a personal concierge on call! The place had plenty of special extra touches that made us feel so welcome. The drive there is about 15 minutes from La Spezia along an increasingly narrow and windy road - we loved it. Parking in La Spezia is easy to find, so we just left the car there each day and used the train to explore the area, which was perfect. Highly recommend Gianni's charming place!

    Brian2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gianni is the best host we have ever had! He provides all the maps, timetables and local knowledge required to plan your days in Cinque Terre (including where to find free parking). He also offers some really thoughtful little extras which I will leave as a surprise... The apartment is in a gorgeous ancient little mountain-top town, and the balcony provides spectacular views of the Carrera mountain (home of marble) and surrounding countryside. Perfect for couples!

    M & V2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special place. A quiet hilltop hamlet, a stunning view over the hills, birdsong echoing in the valley, three luscious wooded footpaths disppearing towards Cinque Terre, and just a short drive from La Spezia. The house is fresh and spotless, with an excellent hot shower, washing machine, dishwasher, and complimentary wine and juice. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Gianni and Antonella are on a mission to share their love of the area, so expect a thorough introduction to the area on your arrival, with maps and pictures and explanations. If you don't speak Italian, (Hidden by Airbnb) translates for you. They are also very happy to ferry visitors back and forth from La Spezia, morning and evening, though if staying for more than a few days it might be courteous to hire a car or get to know a local taxi firm in La Spezia so as not to burden Gianni and Antonella with too many trips up the mountain- though they seemed to genuinely enjoy helping us! All in all, thorough introduction and language barriers aside, there is no catch at all. Better and cheaper than a stay in Cinque Terre. Go!

    Robbie2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Best Balcony ever! The ancient house is wonderfully restored and on the balcony you have a stunning view over the mountains and woods. We had a really warm welcoming from Gianni, Antonella and their family - they provided us with many interesting and helpful information on the best places to go to in the area, on Casté and the history of the house. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend their place!

    Kira2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We followed the advice from the other reviews and stayed at Rosetta's Home. It was the best decision we made during our trip to Europe. Gianni and Antonella are by far the kindest most generous hosts that we've had with Airbnb. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, provided us with recommendations for things to do and places to go, told us about the history of Caste and La Spezia which we loved and even took us to and from the train station. Gianni and Antonella did a wonderful job remodeling Rosetta's Home, it is beautiful with all modern amenities, marble floors and a balcony with incredible views. We recommend having a car as Caste is located in the mountains, but it is a short 10 minute drive to La Spezia so you can easily get groceries or explore the city. We loved the hike from Caste to Cinque Terre, the views were amazing (Gianni also took us to the trail head and provided us with excellent directions.) Thank you Gianni and Antonella for everything, we hope to be fortunate enough to come stay again soon.

    Elizabeth2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say about our stay in Caste?! Well it was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if you are travelling around this area of Italy. Gianni and his wife Isadora were the perfect hosts. Unbelievably enthusiastic and they were very patient. They waited on us even though we were two hours late and didn't make any fuss about our delay. The apartment is absolutely stunning, has all the amenities you need, the bed is comfortable and the view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking. The courtyard and town it's located in is stunning too. Luigi left us a bottle of wine, milk, snacks and was full of information about the local area and even told us where to park for free if you are going to the Cinque Terre. We just wished we had had more time to stay here because it was the perfect place.

The SUNRISE apartment is an old stone building in the upper part of the village of Castè. Next to the house goes path 501 which leads directly to the 5 lands through the woods that fill the valley. It has a large terrace (over 16 square meters) that enjoys a magnificent panoramic view of the valley and from which you can admire the exciting sunrise. Parking is private.
The apartment is on two levels. On the first floor there is a large bedroom and a sofa bed on the ground floor kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, microwave oven + grill, induction hob.
Castello's Medieval Village has been completely restored in the last decade. Its inhabitants are a small community very determined to maintain the beauty of the places and to incorporate into them new life with cultural manifestations ranging from theatrical performances in the Paganini Court to art exhibitions in various parts of the country.

  • Gianluca's place is one of a kind! Built in the 12th century in a small medieval town of only 25 people. Beyond the unique stay, Gianluca's hospitality made it even more special. They met us at the steps when we arrives and showed walked us through every bit of their place. They showed us how to get around to the Cinque Terre and all of the local attractions and recommended places to eat. Later on in the first evening, they baked us a little cake to welcome us! You couldn't ask for anything more from a stay!

  • Gianluca and Marilena are wonderful hosts. They are extremely helpful and you can tell they take great pride in their beautiful Sunrise apartment. It is a great place to stay. Marilena's cake was delicious and the bottle of wine will be a great memory of our stay in Caste. Our only regret was not having enough time to spend relaxing at the apartment.

  • Gianluca and Marilena's house in Casté is one of the most special places I have ever stayed at. The house is situated in a small village whose residents are so friendly with one another they seem like one big family. Gianluca and Marilena were wonderful and accommodating hosts, and made it easy for us to get back and forth to the touristy areas. We enjoyed a nice hike from their place to Riomaggiore, and would recommend the hike to all who visit. We will carry forward all of our nice memories from our trip here!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Casté! The appartment and the nature around are beautiful! Gianluca and his wife are very charming hosts- who not only gave us a lot of information to discover the area, also they surprised us with wine and self-baked cake! Thanks again! Inga/Bruno/Lou.

  • My wife and I had an absolutely magical time in Caste at Gianluca and Marilena's home as part of our honeymoon. The home itself is lovely and nestled into the hills surrounding Cinque Terre and just a short drive from La Spezia. It's wonderfully decorated and comfortable. The area is quiet and the sunrises from the home and terrace are breathtaking! As wonderful as the home was, Gianluca and Marilena's hospitality was even more wonderful. Communication was fast and thorough ahead of and during our stay. Gianluca was always ready to give us recommendations and advice when we had questions. For travelers looking to explore the Cinque terre, Gianluca and Marilena have prepared a very thorough guide to the trails, the five towns (including a couple that aren't part of the five but are even more lovely), the train and ferry schedules, and other helpful tips and information. The welcome gifts were especially thoughtful (and delicious!). We'll always remember our time in Caste and hope to return one day. Highly highly recommended to future guests!

  • We booked Gianluca & Marilena's place for a short stay to explore the Cinque Terre as we love the style of the old Casale house. They have renovated their flat beautifully and we found it very comfortable with lots of nice extra touches and decorations. Gianluca & Marilena were great hosts who provided us with all the essentials for breakfast and even baked us a lovely cake! Highly recommended for a trip to the local area and the terrace is stunning if the weather good. We made trips for dinner to La Spezia (only 15 mins away) which was fantastic and to Vernazza, Manarola & Porto Venere by car. A great weekend overall.

    Natalie2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • We agreed with one of the guests that the pictures did not do the place a justice. We were mind-blowing with this unique little place, this is the best stay my gf and I had throughout our trip. If you are looking for a taste of typical italian uphill village, this is definitely a place to go for. Also, this place is newly renovated and has everything you need, from boardgame, travel guide, well-equipped kitchen to packed pastry, spaghetti and tomato source, oh, and a bottle of home wine as a welcome gift too. We would suggest the guest to bring some fresh ingredients for cooking, enjoy your homecook dinner, wine with the stunning sunset views, just like we did :) We booked the place for 2nights (and of course it was not enough!) and we did not drive, Marilena (Luca's wife) picked us up from La Spenzia station to Caste. we spent our first evening chilling in this romantic Caste. The next day morning Marilena drove us to the station and we did some hardcore hiking. We were lost in the village n was too late to hike the 501 trail to Caste, without hesitation Luca and his wife warmly picked us up from the station at night, we could not be more thankful for that.

  • Valentina was an amazing and a very friendly host; the tips she shared with us during the check-in helped a lot. It's a bit out of the town but we preferred and enjoyed the chilled mountain air after the hot, humid seaside hikes and the view was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended to all travelers with a car.

  • It was a wonderful stay in Valentina's house! The place is so quiet and the view on the mountains is awesome! What a pleasure to wake up in this environment. .. It is also a perfect place to stay if you want to visit 5 Terre. You can park in la Spezia (15min by car) and take the train to get there. Not only the 5 terres but also Trevallo, Salanza, Lerici, Rapallo are really nice cities to visit ( and more quiet!) Thanks for everything!

  • It was amazing! The view was breathtaking, and a very beautiful and quiet old building renovated to be very confortable. We had a great time, surrounding by nature in the mountains but still very close to the beach and wine yards. The host, Paula and her husband were super host, so warm people and always paying attentions to every detail to make our stay the best possible experience. We had dinner the first night with them, and it took our experience to the next level, great Italian cook ;)

  • It was a very nice and pleasant stay at Borgo di Codeglia. Very calm and quiet place and from here you can drive to a point where it is approximately a 1 hour walk (4 km, steep) to Cinque Terre. So for those who want to do some hiking, highlights recommended!

  • This is a beautiful bnb way up on a hill overlooking the city lights. It's very secluded, but it's the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the tourists in Cinque Terre. You will need to arrange transport to get there. We had a car so it was no problem. They have an amazing restaurant and they cook the most delicious local Tuscan style food for you. The hosts were very nice and friendly. Highly recommend staying with them. We would love to come back as they continue to add more bnb rooms as they are renovating what looks like a small little city on the mountain. Very quaint.

The food is excellent (the best restaurant were we have dinner in Italy, and the prices are reasonable). Luca, the chef, and Paola, the waitress are the best ! We highly recommend this place !!!!

My husband Simone and I, we are both pleased to put at your disposal our House . The CastèStyle Art and Nature Holiday House, ex Wisteria House, is one of the most beautiful houses of Castè. • Lovely location and great house. 5 stars!

    Jon2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Serenella's place is fantastic! It's one of those places where you're driving to seemingly nowhere, and then you arrive and you're like- wow...this place is very cool! The views of the surrounding valley, the large private terrace, and the charming narrow stone streets of Casté are all wonderful. This would be a great place for a long getaway. The only bad thing was that we couldn't stay longer!

    Scott2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous place to stay, situated in one of the many old houses there are views galore from the windows and terraces. Serenella is the perfect host and you may receive a visit from the neighbour, Marco to welcome you to the village. The house is stylishly decorated with a mixture of old and new with art work from Serenella's husband. Seeing is believing and you'll find it hard to leave, we did.

    Tony and Rachel2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Serenella has a beautiful house with three floors. We spent one night there and we were 5 people. Serenella was very kind and nice to us, very flexible with arrival and departing times and let us find all we needed. The house is really beautiful, perfectly clean, and in the nice and green Castè. It was perfect!

  • Nice, modern and clean apartment. Nanda doesn't speak English but it was not a problem at all. She was a nice and helpful host.

    Rita2015-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nanda and his husband are very welcoming. Their little home is newly rebuilt, clean and comfortable with everything a family can need. They also gave us delicious tomatoes and homemade jams. Thanks again to both of you!! :) However, we came from a long travel in Croatia and Italy, we were very tired of all our traveling days and were expecting to get some rest there, but this home is situated very close to a road, so you hear the traffic very well. As for us, it was too noisy day and night. In fact, we didn't expect that in this kind of small Italian village and area. Moreover, this home is surrounded by almost 3 shut down houses (that means not a very pleasant view to see when you are outside this home) and there is also a house which is being rebuilt right now (so, the works on this house were rather noisy and began around 7:30 a.m.). Please notice, if you go there by car, as we did, it will take you around 30 minutes to go to Monterosso and 40 minutes to Vernazza, which are really amazing places to visit in this area. But, be careful of these mountain roads which are very winding!

  • Nanda is a very good Italian host with a beautiful countryside house just like in the description. It is a shame we only spend one night there since we enjoyed ourselves and the area is stunning. Very clean and very comfortable house we recommend it to anyone! Thanks Nanda!!! :-)

    Babis2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. Nanda's home was in a very small village that offered no restaurants or shops. BUT WAIT! She and her husband, Carlos, welcomed us like long-lost family. We were brought homemade apple butter, and she made us a cake!! And we we're only there for about 24 hours. Our apartment was beautiful! It was nicely decorated, exceptionally clean and offered everything we needed. BUT, the best past was Nanda! It is worth staying here just to meet her. She is so sweet and made us feel extra special.

    laura2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and clean house in a quiet, peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush, green forests. Also, Nanda and her husband are very friendly hosts. They even baked a cake to welcome us!

    Daniel2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a gem. Having our very own little cottage set away from the busyness of cinque Terre, but still nestled in the beautiful hills was exactly what we needed after a busy 7 weeks of road tripping! Nanda was the most wonderful host. Due to traffic on the way to her we were much later than planned, she welcomed us with so much kindness. There was even homemade cake and savoury muffins in the kitchen which were all absolutely delicious. The house itself is immaculate. Amazing kitchen, dining room, lounge, lovely bathroom with nice shower and such a comfy bedroom. Two TVs and Fab Wifi too... All in all it felt like home for the 3 days we were there. We felt so relaxed. We visited cinque Terre by driving to La Spezia... parking was fairly tricky and watch out for the dreaded ZTLs in the centre, but all in all this was a great place to base yourself to explore cinque Terre whilst also having a quiet sanctuary to go home to at the end of the busy day. Parking was right outside the house... and all was perfect. Couldn't fault a thing and we'd definitely recommend! Thanks so much Nanda!

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Caste. We stayed for three nights over winter holidays. Gianluca and Marilena were welcoming and went above and beyond- they welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a tart and lets of information about the area. Caste was a great landing spot of checking out the surrounding area. The apartment was very quite, we had enough space to relax and a fully equipped kitchen to cook our own meals at night. We only wish we had stayed for longer and will defiantly be back!

Our apartment was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and cosy, the apartment itself was beautiful and our host were easy to communicate with and very well informed about local attractions and restaurants. • Gianluca and his wife Marilena are absolutely wonderful! We had to be rerouted on our train and dealt with some issues while in Italy. Upon arrival in La Spezia Gianluca met us at the train station. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay would be great. Caste is one of the most beautiful places! I would suggest that you rent a car. It's more difficult to get to and from places(doable by taxi). We loved our stay in Caste and would stay again. Every traveler should make a stop at Gianluca's place. You won't regret it!

Castè is a tiny medieval village in the immediate hinterland of Liguria, bordering on the Cinque Terre Park. The little hamlet, dating back to 1400, and not far from the sea and the Spezia. The Five Lands are easily reachable by LA SPEZIA by train, by sea and for trekking lovers, walking along the path 01 to Castè, (by car less recommended). The car is necessary to reach La Spezia, about 7 Km.
  • Absolutely fabulous place to stay! Couldn't reccommend it more! Communication was smooth, Francesca is a friendly and possitive woman with sufficient level of English. She gave us precious tips where to go, where to park in La Spezia for free, she also provided us with maps, timetables for trains, boats, there were also books about the area we stayed. We had an amazing flat with balcony where we got the sunshine during the whole day. The place is cozy, quiet, clean and the thing I liked the best is that I got a real feeling of staying in Italy (not usual IKEA furnished flat, which was appreciated!). Francesca gave us bread and also local red whine which was delicious and very nice of her. During our stay there was also held local art festival (few of the houses were open to public and you were welcome to go in and have a look at art pieces). From our balcony we enjoyed "dance-theatrical" performance which took a place in a tiny square in front of the house. I'd reccommend this place for families, couples, groups of friends. It' romantic, great views. You'd need a car to get there (15 mins from La Spezia). You won't be disappointed!

  • Francesca was a lovely host, she told us a lot about cinque Terre and even gave us a bottle of wine on arrival. The overall experience was great and amazing view. However is was in the hills about 30 mins outside of la spezia so if you want to do cinque terra you will need a car. Also it's a really nice old building so the wifi isn't great inside.

  • We stayed here for two nights in August. The location is stunning, the welcome warm and the apartment delightful. We would have loved to stay longer just to be in the hills for a bit where it was a bit calmer and cooler than the Cinque Terre. Francesco and Carlo are exemplary hosts, not just with the wine and the array of extras they provide for breakfast but also the way they make sure you are confident negotiating the tourist trails from La Spezia. They helped us out a great deal and went well above and beyond! Delightful!

    Susan2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Whilst a little out of the way from La Spezia you won't regret staying in this authentic part of Italy. Great host, comfortable roomy apartment with all amenities. Comfy bed. Ideal experience if you have transport. Can't fault it!

  • During our road trip in Italy we decided in last minute to stop for 2 nights in Caste : best decision ever! First of all, the village is really cute and quiet (just like the picture) Secondly it is really well located: 20 minutes from La Spezia and the train station to go in the Cinque Terre, 40 minutes from Portovenere, 55 minutes from Pisa. Finally, Francesca is the best. She greated us with a bottle of wine and a lot of pratical information (where to park on La Spezia, where to eat, what to do in Cinque Terre). She answered really quickly and accuratly to our question. We loved so much our stay that we consider coming back soon with more people. I strongly recommand this appartement.

    Audrey2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very refreshingly isolated from the Cinque Terre tourist masses. Wonderful views from the hilltop, well-furnished kitchen, really homey feel. Francesca was very communicative and helpful both before and during the stay. Fully recommend to anyone (as long as you have a car)!

    Jacob2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely fabulous flat, lovingly restored in a stunning hilltop position, cosy and well equipped inside, with a marvellous courtyard with views of the mountains where you can eat or enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine. Francesca was a very friendly and helpful hostess.

The apartment is very large and bright, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, the lounge with two sofas a fireplace, the kitchen has the table, the hob, fridge and washing machine, overlooking the large terrace where you Can have breakfast or dine in peace and tranquility. The first bathroom is smaller but with all the facilities and shower box, the second has all the facilities and bathtub. The apartment is located on a hill just 10 minutes drive from La Spezia town and a 30-minute drive from the 5 Terre
The location we are in is strategic, in fact we are 10 minutes by car or motorbike from La Spezia railway station, and behind the 5 lands, by car or motorcycle half an hour. But we have the calm and the air of the countryside and therefore a true corner of peace and relaxation.
I love to live here, I repeat it all, we are in a corner full of peace, it certainly serves the car, but if you want you can also take a Po during the beautiful season and walk in the middle of nature.
  • A wonderful host. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It is a large apartment in a private house in the countryside but close to the city. We had a quiet stay among the local scenery. Highly recommended!

  • First of all, Dèsirèe is an absolutely amazing Person. You will immediately feel welcomed by her. We spontaneously booked our stay at her apartment one evening in advance and she immediately answered. Her House is just a 10 Minute drive away from La Spezia on a Hill. You get an amazing view of the Mountains and it's absolutely relaxing and calming. Her apartment is really comfortable and even more beautiful and charming than on the pictures. Dèsirèe surprised us with a breakfast basket and the fridge was filled with milk, water and orange juice. She also gave us helpfull recommendations for our Trips to 5 Terre and the Ligurian Coast line. There's also a fabulous Agriturusmo within 10 minute walking distance up the Hill. I can highly recommend your stay with Dèsirèe!

Esperienza comunque positiva e Desiree è gentilissima e molto disponibile.

My accommodation is an apartment in a villa with private garden and car parking, suitable for couples, lonely adventurers, business travelers, families with children, large groups and pets. From here you can reach the 5 Lands in 20 minutes or go The CAI trails. The apartment consists of a living room with a double sofa bed, two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a terrace, a barbeque, a garden and a private car. Nearby there are restaurants, shop and park
The accommodation is located in the green, in a very quiet and relaxing area
Close to home there is a small playground for kids, pretty indeed
  • We stayed at this place two nights. Don't underestimate the time it takes to travel to Cinque Terre, la Spezia is a 20 min drive. We did not meet the owner, but the house was clean and had enough space.

    David2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and clean. Amazing views and even fruit trees in the garden! Alessandra was always responsive over the phone, which was helpful as we arrived very late. Very comfortable beds! TV has channels in English which was a nice bonus! Definately a good place to stay for a couple days! Basic supplies such as milk/tea/kettle and toiletries would have been even better :)

    Praveen2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Alessandra was easy and pleasant to communicate with, and our arrival went smoothly even though it was last minute. The apartment is big, nicely orgnized and well equipped. very clean! Nice garden. I think its perfext for a family or a big group, for a couple it was a bit too big. We had a problem with the heating but Alessandra did her best to quickly fix it and compensated us for it. The only problem in my opinion is the location - for us it took about 1 hour drive to the cinque terre, and the road to the apartment is not friendly at night. But if you plan your time well it's worth it.

  • Ciao Alessandra! It has been a pure delight to stay in your beautiful, tidy and spacious apartment. It really feels like home away from home! The garden is absolutely fantastic to have for chilling, grilling and sunbathing and the apartment exactly what we dared to hope after the pictures t regret a moment :) The car is something we strongly advice the guests to have if you are considering Polverara. Easy, private parking in the garden! Polverara is a small and enchanting village in the hills outside La Spezia. Amazing views I can assure you! 3 very good restaurants nearby, one in couple hundred meters!

    Anne2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Alessandra's place is heaven. U need a car to get to the location but once there you have an amazing view. We loved it!

    Erika2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The beautiful home is as described correctly. In terms of location, it's up in the mountain with beautiful view. So unless you drive, it wouldnt be convenient for traveler without car. It took us an hour drive to Monterosso public carpark. This home is very spacious, tidy and best suitable for family. Though it's only 1 bathroom to share among 3 rooms, but it's a huge bathroom. Washing machine in the bathroom is very much appreciated for us. Only downside is the heating problem during our 3 days 2 nights stay. So it's very cold both morning with limited hot water. I would recommend this place for family with young children and communication with Alessandra is easy.

Welcome to Agriturismo Locanda del Papa! Our house is a small farm, we are located in countryside, totally surrounded by nature, inside the Cinque Terre Park but away from the very crowded villages. Are you travelling on foot? Unfortunately on July and August we aren't no longer able to pick-up our guests at the Train station so, before to book the room please send me a message, I would like to give some additional info about our location and how to get my house. Ciao!! David and Roberta
Do you like to stay in the countryside, in the middle of the nature, completely surrounded by greenery ? Our house was an ancient share cropping farm of 1600, totally renovated in 2005. Today it comprises 25 magnificent acres of land and woods. Locanda del Papa is located in the ancient Commune of Carpena, on the hills behind the Cinque Terre( Riomaggiore ), a few feet from the Foce Pass, from where the view extends to La Spezia and the area contained between Portovenere and Lerici called the Gulf of Poets. There is no problem with parking, since the property is totally enclosed and the access road is entered through a gate. We are renting on Airbnb our favorite two rooms: Room of dreams and Room of Silence. Both rooms have private bath and wi fi internet connection ( in the room). So please look at our photo album and choice your favorite room and let me know which one do you prefer. In winter the rooms are heated from a central furnace assuring the maximum comfort and in the largest rooms there are also wood stoves with visible flames. In the summer there is no need of air conditioning. Nature provides it with its cool evening breeze.
I know that many of you wish to visit the Cinque Terre. Well, this is a good place. We are 6 km from the La Spezia RR Station and the train is the best means of reaching the Cinque Terre (it takes 8 minutes to Riomaggiore and the Via dell'Amore (Lovers Lane). We are also 7 km from the embarkation point of the passenger boats that in the summer visit all the towns along the Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre. By car you can reach many places. We are 15 km from Monterosso and 20 km from Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre. La Spezia is very close with its famous naval museum and civic museum Amedeo Lia. Portovenere, designated by UNESCO in 1997 a World Heritage Site, is only 16 km away from our House. Lerici, with its enchanted bay and its beaches certified “Bandiera Blu” (Blue Flag) for their cleanliness is only 12 km away. Tellaro, designated one of the 100 most beautiful small towns of Italy is 4 km from Lerici.
  • LOVED staying here! Great location, so peaceful and beautiful but also close enough to the town. Room was lovely with everything you would need - fridge, oven, table and chairs, tea/coffee etc. Our doors opened up to the most amazing view. David and Roberta were the perfect hosts - very friendly and helpful with loads of information and recommendations. Breakfast was also lovely and my favourite bit was sitting with my new little friend, Tigra the cat :) wish we could have stayed longer - thank you!

  • If you are planning to stay in La Spezia or to go to Cinque Terre, I highly suggest staying at Locanda del Papa. David and Roberta were extremely helpful and gracious throughout our stay. They picked us up and dropped us off at the central station, and have us directions for using the bus to get to La Spezia in order to take a 15 min train ride into Manarola. Beautiful suite with large bed, kitchen, dining area. EXTREMELY clean!!! Absolutely beautiful views from the doors in the room, overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - coffee, focaccia, meats, etc. David gave us a free bottle of his homemade beer, and has olive oil/jams to buy which he makes himself. Overall an incredible stay, and I hope I can visit again in the future!!

  • We had an awesome time at David and Roberta's. The apartment was clean and spacy and we had an wonderful view of the nature from it and the terrace. The breakfast is very rich and nice and the conversations with David and Roberta nothing but pleasant. Whenever we wanted they gave us very good tips for our daytrips and the hike from their house to Riomaggiore is amazing (Thanks for the map, David). From there you can reach lots of nice beaches and villages. We loved our stay - Thanks to you, we would come back anytime.

    Julia2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Locanda del Papa: luxurious late morning breakfasts, a wonderful view from our bedroom window into a tranquil valley, playing with the kitten and good pizzas in the village pizzeria only 300m away. But the best thing is to come "home" after a day of exploring the surroundings and discussing our day with David and a glass of local wine. The perfect start to our holidays! The surroundings are beautiful: Cinque Terre and Porto Venere are nice and our best day was to hike from the B&B to Riomaggiore.

    Inge2013-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great location if you want some peace and quiet with a great view of the countryside. David is a great host and chef. He can fix great breakfast with the most cheerful and happy smile. He had great recommendations about Cinque Terra and parking to get on the train. We loved his beautiful home even if it was 400 years old. Be careful driving through the narrow street to his home. Also there's no AC so it got warm during the summer night. I loved our breakfast in the outdoor patio looking over the countryside. I would go back again because of the view and David's happy smile.

    Eliza2015-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay here. At first we thought we took a wrong turn as the place is down a long lane. But the surroundings are beautiful and the view is beautiful! The room was big and the bed was comfortable. David is a very good host and was very helpful. We were glad we had a car.

  • We (four adults and two kids) had a fantastic time at Laura's house. It's a clean, comfortable, cool and a great location for visiting cinque Terre, Pisa and the surrounding towns. Laura and her family are fantastic hosts and are exceptionally kind.

  • My family had an amazing stay! Laura and her family made us very welcome! We were travelling with our kids (4 and 6 years) and stayed in a big bedroom with a double bed, bunk beds and en-suite. The breakfast was very tasty and is served right next to the pool. Laura gave us great tips where to go shopping, eating and the quickest way to the beach as well as telling us about the local festivals so we didn't miss out on the fire works in La Spezia! We loved this small and personal B&B so much, we will definetly back soon!

    Gerald2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • It's been a great pleasure to stay at Cotorelle! We are a family with 5 kids (age 22, 19, 13, 6 and 3) and we all loved the place. It's a very nice setting with the landlords living at the same place but in a different house. The are so nice that it's only a pleasure to have them nearby. We had the pool pretty much to ourselves. We did half day trips to beaches nearby south and north of Cinque Terre. The best beaches are Lerici or Massa Carrara if you want sandy beaches. Our favorite beach is definitely Bonassola (just north of Levanto) with a fairly small beach with small stone, so small that it's more like sand but doesn't stick to your skin. Levant is also very nice, a little bigger town but still a very nice beach. Levant is really good for surfing when the waves rolling in from the right direction. Both Bonassola and Levant are also good places to go diving or snorkling. All these beaches are within 30-45 minutes in car from the apartment. Cinque Terre is also really easy to reach from Coltorelle. You go 30 minutes by car to Monterosso al Mare, which is the most northern of the five villages. From there you can go to by train, boat or walk to visit the other villages. Anyhow, coltelle is a really nice place to stay at! :D Johan from Sweden

Massimiliano was so helpful and flexible when it came to our check in time, his home was so comfortable, clean and exactly what we needed for our two children and us. It was more than enough room, we were sad we didn't have time to enjoy the garden and some sunbathing overlooking the mountain side. • We had a great stay at Massimilianos house. There is a nice garden with a great sea view. The house is very clean and has huge bathroom and 3 nice bedrooms. Massimiliano is a great host and a very nice guy, making sure you have a great time. Highly recommended. We will come again.

  • What a perfect location! I'll definitely recommend it to everybody traveling to Cinque Terra. The place is magical and not full of tourists as the small towns. I'll be back :-) And massimiano was very helpful and picked us up at the parking lot.
