  • This was an amazing Airbnb! We had mentioned that we were on our honeymoon when we first contacted Joanne and Rob and when we arrived there were congratulatory treats and a sweet card! Besides that thoughtfulness, the place was beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location. The directions that were provided were clear and we had no issues finding the place. It was perfect for us for our one night stay and we wish we could have enjoyed it longer.

  • What a beautiful and large home! While we only had four people, this lovely property could easily accommodate up to 20 people. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night and could not fully appreciate everything that this home offers.

    Bruce2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this location. The home was very spacious, our group enjoyed using the pool table and the porch in the backyard was a great place to relax after a long hike. We would definitely stay again. We were surprised that someone visited the home while we were out to replace the towels and make the beds. This wasn't a bad thing, it just wasn't something we wouldn't have expected from an Airbnb accommodation.

  • We had a great experience staying here! Kristeen was very accommodating even when our schedule changed up on us and we had to arrive later than expected. The house is very conveniently located in the downtown area within walking distance to a grocery store. The home was clean and very well stocked. My family loved the big back yard with the trampoline and fire pit. We even played a competitive game of croquet! Lots of fun and it reminded us of being at grandma's house.

  • We r enjoyed this house very much It has full kitchen, u can cook your food Quiet neighbors Very comfortable beds

    Irene2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The photos of the house just don't do the home justice-it has such a nice homely feel to it, the rooms are very large and clean, and it has a great back porch with outdoor furniture and porch swing, overlooking a lovely green yard. We were met and welcomed by Garry the owner on our arrival, and shown around the place, which was a very friendly start to the visit. You'll find that the house is within easy walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. The pizza place over the road makes great pizzas. Kristeen and Garry provide very informative information about places of interest to visit, and we really our trips to Mossy Cave and waterfall, as well as Bryce Canyon NP. All supplied driving times are completely accurate, so you are only a short distance from a lot of attractions. We thoroughly recommend Bybee as a base for your visit to the area.

    Ulrike2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed stayed at Bybee's Nest in September 2017 with my wife and two sons. As with any Air B&B accommodation, there are pros and cons. Pros: -Gary is a warm and friendly host. He greeted us upon arrival and pointed out features of the home. Multiple varieties of Keurig coffee and a bottle of OJ were much appreciated. -Tropic is a great base location from which to explore Bryce and other close by natural attractions. A grocery store and several restaurants are a few minute walk from the house. -The house's fire pit, BBQ and covered back patio are perfect for outdoor dining and lounging. -The living room has very large flat screen TV with basic cable. Cons: Even though we enjoyed our stay at the house, I feel it is my obligation to other Air B&B guests to point out the following cons. I would not immediately cross this house off of your consideration list. Rather, I would discuss any concerns you may have with Gary. Let me preface by saying I am allergic to some types of mold and have allergy induced asthma. -I suspect there may be mold in the basement. I went in the basement for a less than a minute when we checked in. The air felt heavy, damp and did not smell fresh. Due to my mold allergy I knew not to go into the basement again. -I felt minor mold allergy symptoms while on the main floor of the house. It was not bad enough for us to check out early. We assessed the situation each day. We did spend our planned three nights in the house. -There is free WiFi in the house, but we were getting slow speeds of 1.59 Mpbs download and 0.04 Mpbs upload. We have AT&T for cell phone and data. Making calls was ok, but cellular data in Tropic was on the "E" network which appeared to be is slower than 4G and LTE. -Keep in mind there is no dishwasher in the kitchen.

    David2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kristeen's place was perfect for our family of 7 It had everything we needed for a 3 night stay while visiting Bryce. It was quiet with friendly and accommodating hosts. Wonderful home.

    Eric2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this house! It was a perfect base camp to visiting and enjoying Bryce Canyon, Grand Escalante and Zion National Parks. The backyard is wonderful to hang out in even in the dead of summer. They have a great fire pit and grills. We didn't have kids with us but I imagine it's great for kids too-- a big back yard and a playground. It's close to town-- so it's easy to reach the grocery store and restaurants. We also enjoyed the town hill that's walking distance from the house and is a beautiful place to watch the sun set from. The house comfortably fits 6 adults and I know you can add additional room by booking the basement too. We'd stay there again! Enjoy

  • The Cowboy Retreat is an excellent location to stay at. With steps outside of Bryce Canyon and a beautiful drive to Zion this home can't be beat. It was clean and tidy and had tons of space to spread out after a full day in the parks. The vistas from the house are stunning and the small town down the street is very sweet. Everyone we met was very helpful and nice. We would definitely return to The Cowboy Retreat.

  • Nice location , about 7 miles away from Bryce and 89 Miles from Zion National park. There is a nice grocery store close to the house , you will find everything you may need at a very good price compared to the Grocerry store in Bryce ( very expensive) . Very safe and peaceful area, house is little old but it is functional and nice from inside. There is a restaurant , pizza place , Bar , gas station and big grocery store very close to the house.

  • Tad was very welcoming and easy to reach. The house was in great shape, and very spacious and comfortable. Our fully-remodeled, 100-year-old, pioneer home is nestled in the red rocks of Cannonville, Utah, USA. It's a beautiful town 15 minutes away from Bryce Canyon National Park. Near one of the world's Top 10 Scenic Byways. You’ll love our basement apartment because of the views and quality accommodations, such as new beds with down comforters, PLUS high speed fiber line internet. Gas station and convenience store across the street. Grocery store 5 miles away.
Laundry facilities are available onsite. There are stairs leading down into this basement apartment, so it is not considered handicap accessible. Located next to the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Visitor's Center, which serves as a great hub of area information. We are currently working on the landscaping, preparing for putting in water lines and 16 new big trees this fall. The city park is half a block away, where you can enjoy family gatherings on the grass and the mezzanine.
  • Spacious, clean and well-equipped, this basement apartment was homey and had almost everything one could need or want while on vacation -- a toaster was the only thing I missed. Aubree left lots of good information about local attractions and restaurants. My only disappointment was that we were so tired from hiking at the end of the day we had no energy for the foosball and other games that are provided. The BBQ truck across the street is a great plus.

  • The host's attention to detail is obvious here and the house is well laid out and well equipped. Highly recommended. The location is excellent for access to Bryce canyon and Kodachrome state park as well as a range of other hikes, off road drives and monuments that we didn't know were in the area until we looked at the maps and info provided by the hosts. There is a visitor centre for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument close by with lots of visitor information. Great views of hummingbirds there on the feeders as well.

  • This place was clean, comfortable and spacious. It served our needs well as we wee traveling with our 13 year old grandson and we all needed some personal space. The kitchen worked well for cooking and the beds were fabulously comfortable. It was a pleasure spending time in a historic home (100 years old) that was so well remodeled. Soon there will be 20 trees planted which will add another level of charm! It was an easy drive to Bryce Canyon.

  • Every photo of every Airbnb property is only a perspective. But let me assure you, this property is better than photographed. You'll get a big, beautiful, serene, and captivating stay near (but not too near) Bryce and its state-park cousins. Don't miss Kodachrome Basin - just down the road.

  • Joe's place was absolutely incredible and perfect. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, and it has everything you might need. The views are amazing. I honestly can't think of anything but the highest praise for Joe's home, and the Bryce Canyon area in general.

    Jonathan2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time and LOVED the house. From the moment we walked in everything was clean and perfectly decorated. We enjoyed the bottle of wine that was left for us along with the extra waters provided. Joe was wonderful and told us some not to be missed spots in the area. The view from the front was breathtaking and we loved the trail behind the house. It was a perfect stay !

You’ll find the two full baths and washer/dryer handy for cleaning up after a long day of outdoor excitement. When you return to the house to rest from your adventures, curl up on the comfortable couches in the great room to watch a favorite movie on the flat-screen TV and DVD player, or surf the web and send pictures of your unforgettable experiences to your friends and family at home using the high speed wi-fi access. The north bedroom features alcove play areas the little kids will love to come home to.
We built our home here about 6 years ago, and the upstairs addition was just finished last fall (2014). Our home is located on what used to be the Rose family farm of approximately 70 acres. I grew up here, working the farm as a youngster with my dad and brothers. The farm has long since been divided up among family members, and the old corrals and barn in the hollow next to our home (Sunrise Hollow) had to be torn down, but the area still retains its peaceful atmosphere. Most of our 20 acres lie to the south of the house and consist of wild thickets and brush. The property is bounded 1/2 mile to the south by Henrieville Creek and is bisected near the house by another small creek locals refer to as Henrieville Wash. Kids love to play in the wash, but always come back muddy, so they will need an extra set of "mud" clothes and shoes if you allow them to explore there. There are restaurants in Tropic (8 miles away) and around Bryce Canyon City (17 miles away). The entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park is 20 miles away.
  • What a lovely way to visit Bryce Canyon! We were glad to not be packed in with the crowds at/just outside the park. Instead this home is a 15-minute ride away. The apartment is unusually spacious and quiet. One bedroom has 2 full/queen beds. The other has two twin beds plus extra mattresses in cute alcoves with a play area - elementary-aged kids would adore this room. My husband and I elected to stay in the main area in another curtained-off bedroom. Since there are two full bathrooms we each got our own, just like at home. :-) There's a large living room area and a large rustic dining room table. Kitchens matter to me, and this one is very well equipped and supplied. I really appreciated the full spice rack! And it was nice to have thIngs like laundry detergent supplied. Everything was in good working order and very clean. The only noises were birds and the occasional cow moo. The views are of surrounding rock formations, very different from Bryce. At the end of the stay we got to meet our sweet and gentlemanly host, Milt. He told us he'd grown up on this ranch and that his relatives live all around the house we were staying in. We were doubly glad to have experienced the real deal of living in Utah instead of the tourist situation at the park.

    Alane2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay -- it was the perfect location for our two-day trip to Bryce. Our group consisted of two couples and two singles. Milt's house had the perfect amount of space. I really loved what they did with the kids' room -- some nice nooks for kids to play and hang out. Also, after a few days of national park touring, it was lovely to have HE machines to wash our laundry. Milt's communication was always very prompt and courteous. We also appreciated how clean everything was - plenty of towels and kitchen supplies.

    Helen2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The area is very large. Ideal for a multi day visit with a complete kitchen, washer & dryer, and two bathrooms. Clean as a pin. There was nothing that we needed that was not already there. Very comfortable couches and chairs for visiting with our group. Excellent wifi & TV. No cell service (ATT), but a land line is provided!! Room arrangement provided for privacy within our group (two separate bedrooms). The location is off the beaten path, but only 5 minutes from the main highway.

    Bill2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Milt is a very nice and kindness host. His house is the best in America! The house is quiet, clean and comfortable. The view from window is amazing and beautiful. All of us hope to come back and meet Milt again.

    YUSHU2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay at Milt's home. The kids loved the side rooms and the backyard with the slide, swing and tetherball was probably more of a draw than Arches NP. There was plenty of room for all of us.

    Teresa2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rooms are bigger than what I expected and very clean. Scenery is beautiful. If moon is hiding, you can enjoy beautiful stars at night. Milt is very friendly and gentleman. There are two bath rooms, but shower should be used one by one.

    Satoshi2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice apartment. Location was far out so we spend time watching the stars and the milky way

    Steffen2016-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Milt, was kind to give us nice advises to visit during the bad weather. The place was great, clean and big enough for the 7 of us.

  • Nice place to stay in a popular area without many reasonably priced accommodation. Sweden was a very reasonable host, and checking in was very simple. Communication was good but not amazing. The place is a large tent with a nice bed and a night stand. I did not get to see the rest of the camp, as I simply used it as a place to stay. The "luxury" definition might be a bit much. Apart from the size of the tent, it seemed to be a nice campground.

The visibility is excellent and Hoodoos Hideaway is below a major flight path for high altitude airliners & satellites. When the timing is right, you will see the International Space Station. I hope that you will enjoy the beauty of the property and the area as much as I do.
Henrieville is a quiet, peaceful town with friendly people, located on Scenic Highway 12, at 6000 ft/1829 m elevation. Named for James Henrie, an early Mormon pioneer, the town was founded around 1878. Many historic buildings still stand. Henrieville has a US Post Office, but no other services. The town is in a valley, surrounded by beautiful hills and rock formations. There is a wonderful view of the area, including Powell Point, at the end of Center Street, just one block from Hoodoos Hideaway. Gas, groceries and a BBQ food truck are located in nearby Cannonville, a 5 minute drive west. Tropic is 10 minutes west and offers gas, groceries, restaurants & a food truck. Escalante is 35 minutes east and offers gas, groceries and restaurants. Please note: After October 31st, restaurant options are limited. It is a good idea to bring your own food from the two grocery stores nearby.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed staying with Tanya and her husband. Her communication was excellent and she gave me restaurant tips, best hiking routes, etc., that were really helpful. Her home was cozy and I felt at ease right away. My room/bathroom were super comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing. I'm into healthy, organic food too and so I loved it! Her chicken's eggs were just delicious! She's a great hostess! I will stay again and definitely recommend her to others.

    Nancy2016-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time with Tanya. She is such a lovely person and a fantastic host with an impressive knowlege about the area. The room was very nice - well furnished, tidy and even Netflix was available! The breakfast was delicious, Tanya provided a large variety of different food, coffee and juices. We can only recommend this place and are looking forward to stay again!

    Diego2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya and Craig are very nice. She gave me some advise about the Bryce Canyon before I arrive at their house. It's very useful. And I saw the Milky Way at their backyard. Also took some photos for the Milky Way. :)

  • My partner Jonathan and I (traveling with a third friend) stayed with Tanya for the first night of our week-long trip into Grand Staircase National Monument. Tanya is the perfect host! Communication before we arrived was excellent. If we reached out by phone or text, her responses were quick, if not immediate. Tanya provided very clear and specific directions to her home. She really made sure we were cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival, she was very gracious and welcoming and very flexible about our arrival time. Tanya made us feel like more than just guests - she made us feel like welcome friends. She made every effort to make sure we had what we needed, from snacks laid out in the morning to fresh coffee waiting for us when we woke up. It's clear that guest comfort is a high priority. The bedroom is ideal. A comfortable bed with fresh, comfortable linens and plenty of fresh towels. A private bathroom is inside the bedroom. Everything was spotlessly clean as well. Location-wise, I can't imagine Tanya being better positioned as a base to explore this area, whether you are staying one night or more. Explorers looking to travel in this area would be smart to consider her. There's alot around her to choose from. She is also quite knowledgeable about the area and was happy to share tips. We are Airbnb hosts back on the east coast, but this is the first time we used Airbnb as travelers and, as should be obvious, we had a great time and our expectations were met and very much exceeded. If we travel to this area again (and we do hope to) we will definitely look to stay with Tanya again. We can recommend staying with Tanya very highly. We send her a big "thank you". All the best, John

    John2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly welcomed by Tanya and Craig. Breakfast was delicious and simple, the space was clean and well kept, the bed was fantastically comfortable, and we were perfectly located for a number of local nature adventures! Tanya is easy to communicate with and friendly-- and gave us good tips on some hikes. Thank you both for a good start to our Southwest travels!

    Jesse2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya is a great hostess and our stay with her was wonderful. She offered more great choices than we knew what to do with for breakfast and great advice about local eateries and destinations. The room and bed were very comfortable. She was so friendly and accommodating that we give her our highest recommendation.

    Cliff2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya is an outstanding host. Although we only stayed at her place for one night, she immediately made us feel at home. After showing us her house, pets and beautiful garden, the clean and spacious room and enclosed bathroom offered room for a relaxing night. Tanya provided shampoo and conditioner which was very helpful. We really enjoyed watching the stars from a bench in her garden:) just beautiful. What I personally enjoyed the most was the breakfast the next morning: Tanya has lots of different things to offer, from Avocado, fresh eggs and bread, to homemade jam, various juices and even selfmade coffee! We had a lovely conversation with Tanya and she gave us some good and helpful ideas for exploring the surroundings. We also really enjoyed cuddling her dog and cats. I'd recommend Tanya's room to everyone. Thank you again for our lovely time Tanya! Tamara and Maria

    Maria2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya and her husband were by far the friendliest people we encountered during a long road trip that included a wide range of Airbnb experiences and hotels. I mentioned our interest in stargazing and Tanya immediately responded with multiple helpful suggestions. We were in the main house but felt like we had a lot of privacy. We enjoyed great views of the stars from the backyard and were very close to Bryce Canyon.

Small pets under 10lbs are welcome with a deposit. Exact address is 80 south lake view drive would not pull up due to newness of town.
Located behind Best Western Ruby's inn where you will find a beautiful store to shop in, restaurants to dine at. Small shops across the street, and many other things. Bryce Canyon shuttle is located a short walk away. In the summer enjoy hiking, biking, horse rides, ATV’s and much more. In the winter months enjoy Bryce Canyon via Cross Country skiing on groomed trails starting at Best Western Ruby’s Inn, Ski rentals available there as well as snow shoes for a snow shoeing adventure.
  • Grandma B's accommodated my group of 10 very well. The home is very large and clean. It was great having a washer and dryer to use. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beverly provided very precise directions to the home. She responded to messages very quickly. She was a wonderful host. We particularly enjoyed the back deck because the view of the lake was great and we enjoyed being able to watch the various birds visiting the bird feeders.

    Rebecca2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a great location. Walking distance to old Bryce town. The shuttle into Bryce is also walking distance. Great view and large home for large families. It doesn't have an AC unit or heater. Minimal kitchen appliances. No BBQ. Washer and dryer are available which was great. Only one tv but no cable. Overall this house wins on location. Didn't have to move the car due to shuttle services into Bryce Canyon.

    Claudia 2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Grandma B's has plenty of room for a large group. We had 7 and slept comfortably on the main level. There are other bedrooms on the lower level with another bathroom. Grandma B's has a unique floorplan and interesting decor, but the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and updated and the kitchen had everything we needed for our short 2 night stay. Having a full sized washer and dryer was wonderful. The location to the park cannot be beat. There is not a great grocery store in town. I would recommend grocery shopping on your way to Bryce City either in Panguitch or Tropic

    julie2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This home is large and very convenient to Bryce Canyon National Park. It is located right next to a large general store, a few RV camp sites, and a couple of motels. We were this home's first airbnb guests, and I think we experienced the brunt of the host's learning curve. Upon our arrival, the home (including the bathrooms) was not very clean, there were bits of paper, plastic and other trash sprinkled throughout the carpet, and a layer of dust had settled through the home, on the window sills and on the dishes in the kitchen. The bathrooms were in a used condition with dirty toilet seats and trash in the bins. When we alerted Beverly to these issues, she was very flexible and amenable to making our stay work. She gave us the option to leave early, offered a discount, offered to waive the cleaning fee since I had to clean the bathrooms before we could use them, and was genuinely shocked that her home was in such a condition. Her guess is that some local children were able to enter and use the home without her knowledge through a window inadvertently left unlocked downstairs. Beverly was gracious when alerted to these problems and sounds committed to addressing these issues in order to make her home a great option for families (large or small) looking to stay in the comfort of a home when visiting Bryce Canyon. Overall, this really is a great home if you are looking for a place to stay within a mile of the entrance to Bryce Canyon. PS: There are no supplies provided in this home other than linens. Be sure to bring your own dishwashing soap, scrubbers, hand soap, shampoo, etc.

    Priya2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very clean and spacious. Excellent location to enjoy both Bryce Canyon and Byway 12 scenic route. The only reason I rate the house as good vs excellent is because kitchen only had couple of pots and no frying pans or skillets to actually make breakfast or dinner. We ended up eating out, which is challenging in this very very small town.

    Elena2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to the main entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. Also very convenient to several restaurants and boutique tourist shops in Bryce.

    John2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a top spot for enjoying Bryce Canyon . The home is very spacious , comfortable and has all amenities. Sunset drinks on the large back deck overlooking the lake was a treat. Beverly is a very communicative host and her directions were easy to follow . We'll definitely stay again when next in Bryce .

  • This place is spectacular!! The house is beautiful. Terri and Robert were super hosts. They helped us every step of the way to get us good hiking, explorations, restaurants and local attractions. Nice house. Comfortable bed, couches, kitchen has everything. A very clean, comfortable house. We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a short distance to Bryce Canyon and many area attractions. Right on the property you can rent bikes and ATVs. They will give you directions to some spectacular places to go. Also, I have to say, do not miss the museum. It is better than any natural history museum I have seen. Super well maintained. The animals and size of the collection is astounding. The kids will love this place. There are also deer, rabbit, and chicken pens where they can feed the animals after the days activiites.

The owners are awesome and super helpful and friendly and they gave us fresh eggs from their chickens they have on property! Also the wildlife museum that it is next to is really cool and a must see!! Can't wait to stay here again!

  • This is the perfect place if you want to visit and hike Bryce Canyon. Aubree has renovated the space with a lot of love for the detail, and you have a scenic surrounding in a very quite little village. Communication was perfect, and the rooms were beautifully set up. The only thing that can be annoying at night is the bright light from the nearby little lodge. However, the house itself has perfect shades to keep the light out.

    Daniel2017-06-15T00:00:00Z

We had a great time. Well equipped & comfortable. Aubree & Marshall were great hosts. Communication was perfect and everything was as expected (or better).

  • The house is a beautiful historical home 15 minutes away from Bryce Canyon. We did feel a little secluded being in the small town, but there is a place across the street where you can get a few items and also a delicious BBQ joint! The house itself was great for our family (us and 2 sets of grandparents) with plenty of room for our son to run around. The outside is under construction, but we didn't mind as the house is very kid friendly with toys and books and a park close by.

  • A tent and a bed are what you get. We knew that so in that regard we were prepared for the experience (no light, no AC, no wifi, no bathroom/shower nearby). The tent itself and surrounding are nice and clean and check in was swift. The toilet/shower was about 100m from our tent.. in general, we ended up staying in Bryce and Tropic until it was time to sleep. It is conveniently located near Bryce National Park about a 20-30min drive. The only problem I would say with this experience was that on our second night our tent was given to someone else.. luckily we ran into the person that occupied our original tent saying that the check in people told them they could take our tent and that the one next to that was empty- we were fine taking the empty one since we left nothing inside our tent the day before it was just a little strange that it happened in the first place. Also there are no locks on the tents which we didn't feel entirely comfortable about.

  • Sweden's Bryce Luxury Camping was a great experience. You get the best both worlds. You get the seclusion and quiet of camping, but in a tasteful and comfortable environment. It's still a camping experience, so don't expect hot water or running water at the camp site, but you do get a comfy bed, breathtaking views, and a front row seat to looking at the Milky Way at dark. If you're in the area, and want a unique AirBnB experience, I would recommend Sweden's property.

  • We had a great stay while visiting Bryce Canyon. All the benefits of camping with a comfortable bed and a sturdy tent already setup! Levi has put up several tents not far from his home and they all share a nice view of the mountains. We especially enjoyed the clear view of the stars as it just so happened to coincide with the Perseid Meteor shower. Couldn't have planned that better.

  • Loved this place! Off the beaten path and very quiet. Still plenty of space at this particular tent site. The bed was so comfortable! Would definitely stay here again.

  • Very quiet location. More camping than a community. No common area. The outdoor showers smelled. Porta potties for bathrooms.

  • We arrived just before sunset and the view was truly spectacular. The colors were so vibrant with purples and reds. The tipi was really clean and the bed very comfortable and cosy. The showers were very fresh and woke us up! Great location for Bryce and so quiet. Wish we could have explored the surrounding area more. Check in was simple. Would really recommend.
