Triopetra Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Triopetra

Villa Irena is a recently (spring 2017) renovated traditional house. It blends seemlessly modern day amenities with it's traditional character. Villa Irena is fully furnished with all comodities you might need to have a pleasant and unforgetable stay. Thank you Stefanos & Irena Vlatakis.
It consit by a spacious bedroom with direct unobstructed view to Libyan Sea and Paximadia Islands and a livingroom / kitchenette, private bathroom with shower and washing machine.
Agalianos is a traditional and quite village. It is built 5 min with car from the enormous and wonderful beach of Triopetra (or Ligres beach) with panoramic view to the sea. Also Agios Pavlos beach is 20min with car.
  • Stefanos's house is one of a kind! Very comfortable, decorated with style, including everything you may need. The view is amazing from the balkony and the village perfectly located above the best beaches of South Rethymno. Stefanos is really friendly and helpful. His hospitality is outstanding! We were really glad to meet him and we will come back for sure!

  • Perfect retreat with amazing view over the beautiful landscape and the sea. Also very good communication with the host. A lot of great beaches within easy reach by car, there are nice roads along the coast that you might not find on the map, but they are not difficult to find. The appartment is clean, with very nice bedroom, the kitchen is small, but works well enough if you don´t plan on cooking a lot. Big veranda without roof / shadow, meaning it´s perfect for stargazing at night.

Three-Rock is a very special studio just two hundred meters from the -perhaps- most beautiful beach of Crete. You get everything you want to feel like home plus this extraordinary Triopetra (three rock) beach.
Three-Rock is a very special studio just 250 metres from one of the most fabulous beaches of Crete. There is a double bed and also two more traditional sofa beds made of stone. We have provide of course to about towels and sheets and there are more linen in the closet. There is a refrigerator, stove with oven, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, glasses etc. The water is drinkable. You can use everything that is in the kitchen. There is a table of six people and chairs inside the studio and another one on the back terrace. The windows are double glazed and two of them have a screen. For heating there is a portable heater and stove and of course there are two fans even if it's always cool inside the studio. There is a cot available for babies. There is also a TV, DVD player, CD player and library with Greek and foreign books. In the bookcase you can find books, cd’s and dvd’s.
There are several places to visit in a relatively short distance: picturesque villages, beaches and mountains suitable for hiking, with many endemic plants. Be aware though that the beach Triopetra has too many places to explore. Most visitors prefer the central part (with umbrellas), others go on the east side (on the rocks and cave) but we advise you to proceed and on the west side where a series of small rocks protect you even when strong south wind blows. Very close to the Three-Rock studio, just fifty meters, you can reach Akoumianos river -with enough water in the winter but very small in summer. It is nevertheless an enjoyable ride. Even more, an important attraction is the beach at sunset, which will definitely want to see again and again ... . * Triopetra (Trio-Petra) : the greek words for Three Rock
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Three Rock Studio, which was a great base from which to explore the area. The studio had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and Gregory was very helpful and friendly. There was beer and raki in the fridge when we arrived, which was a lovely gesture!

    Hannah2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very kind and helpful when we arrived. Our impression is that he is a very nice person. Triopetra is not a reccomendable place for families with children, as is not served well (no pharmacy, no entratainments, no safety guard, no petrol station, no mini-market,...) and it is a very windy place. The beach is a very wild place with a clear water sea, but be careful in swimming, becaus it is open water. The studio were we stayed was not really functional, but liveable. We found it a bit dusty when we arrived.

    Andrea2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 28 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • We had a wonderful time at the Three-Rock-Studio, which is really so close to the beautiful and charming beach, in a very quiet environment. Most of the tourists at the beach are greek, so Triopetra is an insider spot. The studio with all the furnitures and fully equipped kitchen is very charming and clean. Gregory made us feel very comfortable and helped with any problems or queries we had. We can very much recommend the studio for a vacation for some relaxing days in peace in a beautiful nature landscape. Perhaps it's good to know, that you need a car, because the next supermarket is 40min away in Spili. And also that there is no aircondition. Although most of the time you wouldn't need it, we were there duing the hottest days in August and it was quite warm in the night. But the fan in the apartment also helped cooling down a bit. We very much loved the sunrises and sets while sitting on one of the two terraces. It was a wonderful stay there.

  • Our stay at Gregorýs was great ! Gregory prepared everything for us it was lovely and full of thoughts. It is very clean, there are plenty of nice books , music and dvd if you want some... The deco us very nice and sweet! We just wish to come again :-)) The beach down the road is really near the studio and when you get rhere it is amazing very large and preserved. You are really by yourself ! We walked around and visit the other bay names Triopetra Beach (+/-5km) where you can find really good meals lunch and dinner. Well, it was awesome! Dear Gregory thank for your help and to have made everything so simple ! See you soon ;-) Justine&Damien

  • Gregory was really lovely and welcoming. He made our stay in the beautiful studio, which is even nicer, than you can see in the pictures and description quite uncomplicated. We were the only guests at that time and we really enjoyed the stay. The area is really nice and definetly not touristic. Beautiful landscape and perfect for hiking in the spring - nearly nobody was there. A quite and peaceful valley. Strongly recommended by us.

    Thomas2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • One week in Gregory's studio with a friend of mine. This was like heaven on earth! Gregory is the best host you could ever wish for, always available, very helpful and providing you with lots of information. Thus, to reach Triopetra by car via Rethymno provided with Gregory's very detailed information is the easiest thing to do and a very nice trip by itself. The way the studio is prepared for you makes you feel like home at once. I found everything is even nicer than it looks like on the pics, a beautiful, tastefully furnitured, spacious studio with a large terrace towards west and another small one towards east, so you'll find sun or shade almost all day long. The garden with olive trees and many other plants, the seaview, the mountains around. Though there is a house across the street it is a serene, calm, quiet spot, mostly nothing to be heard but beautiful natural sounds. In short, this is just a place to be happy! Triopetra beach is an attraction in itself, just walk down the road and finde a place up to your taste. I'll be back soon! Sefcharisto poli, Gregory!

  • We had a lovely family vacation in this beautiful cretan style villa. We especially enjoyed the calm and idyllic setting in the hilly country side which is perfect for relaxing and tranquility. Eleftheria was a wonderful and very welcoming host and made us feel like Locals. She even surprised us with a super delicious traditional meal. We highly recommend it.

    Pia2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Eleftheria and her family are very open-hearted people. When we arrived late night, we found a warm delicious meal in the oven and she suprised us with little gifts, produced in her own farm. The villa is very nice and clean, the location in the mountains awesome. A short way leads to several beaches, where the water is very clean. The farm is located near the villa and we could visite the goats, sheeps and chickens with the children. The children also had the possibility to ride the horses and the vacation was a little adventure for them. Whenever we needed something, Eleftheria helped us quick and told us the most beautiful places in crete. We spend wonderful two weeks there and we can highly recommend the villa. Thank you for all Eleftheria!

    Nina2016-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived we were amazed by the wonderful views when driving to the house. On arrival, we found out that Eleftheria had prepared the perfect lunch for us. During our stay she spoiled us several times with self-made cookies and fresh food. Also she insisted to clean the house several times during our 2 weeks stay. Eleftheria is the perfect hostess! The village Drimiskos is small, but the tavern of Cleitonas and Maria can only be recommended: incredibly tasty food, all fresh and prepared with love, in an authentic setting and friendly atmosphere. The house is very comfortable, you have everything you need. The pool was welcome and very much appreciated by everybody. The house is surrounded by a nice garden. Everything is very quiet and peaceful. Nice views also from the house! The area is very nice, rough, mountains, large beaches where you are almost alone, even in July. Should you become tired of so much peace: the drive to Rethymnon is only 45 min, and the city is very nice to stroll through in the evening. We had a wonderful time in Drimiskos, in Eleftheria’s house. We hope to be back some day!

  • The house was really nice and very clean, the house has a very nice view and beaches are at only 500 meters. The house is really calm. Stella was really nice, really helpful, very responsive to all our requests, this was really appreciated. It was hard to find the house the first time, our GPS wanted to take dirty roads, the best way to find it is to come from Spili then Kerames.

  • We had such a wonderful time at Stella`s beautiful villa. Stella, her husband and her son were super friendly and welcomed us with a fresh cake and a full fridge, just everything we needed after our flight. The villa itself has a stunning view, a nice pool an was super clean!!! We would definitely stay here again, thank you so much!

    Rafram2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Triopetra view villas are beautiful properties. Amazing views, quiet and pure relaxation. Very clean, modern, and Stella and her family were very responsive and great to deal with. The area is a bit remote, suggest you stop in the town of Spilli or even earlier in Reythymno for super markets to stock up. As the roads are windy and twisty it takes a lot of time to get any where. Stella provided coordinates for directions but in our phones only showed up as a list of directions, was difficult to follow. We ended up putting "Triopetra" in the GPS and had to have Stella meet us once we arrived to the area to show us the way to the villas. Very interesting driving! Highly recommend a dinner at the traditional Cretan restaurant near by, called "Filenia". Beautiful spot, family owners were so kind and the meals were great! Moussaka was very tasty!! We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return some time!

    Andrea2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Villa for two weeks and had an amazing time. It is the perfect place for people who want to relax and enjoy pure nature without many people around. Beatiful beaches and excellent taverns are close by.

    Janine2017-07-23T00:00:00Z

    Triopetra View villa 1
    6 reviews
Argyro's House, Agia Paraskevi, Crete At the lower end of the village below the square and the church, this unsophisticated house has simple paved floors of local stone and is terraced on the hillside in a really quiet position with wonderful views over the countryside to the Libyan Sea. Adorned with a generous swathe of bougainvillea, the partially covered entrance terrace has built in bench seating for alfresco dining and from here there are entrance doors to both the well equipped kitchen and the small adjoining living area, with built in sofas, fireplace and large dining table. A stone staircase off the living area leads up past a small shower room to the first floor, where there is one small double bedroom and a slightly larger twin bedroom, which has patio doors to a lovely private terrace with wrought iron balustrade and just incredible uninterrupted sea views. Both bedrooms at this level have sloping, beamed ceilings and there is a further small twin bedroom off the kitchen. Built into a wall , at the back of a small courtyard to one side of the house, is a magnificent barbecue with a nearby shady olive tree encircled by a low wall and a lovely spot to put a cushion on a hot day Agia Paraskevi, Crete, featured in the Sunday Times "Beat a path to the heart of secret Crete" Hidden away on the south coast between Agia Galini and Moni Preveli and a good 2 hours drive from Chania Airport, the tiny hamlet of Agia Paraskevi, stands high on the hillside looking out over the Lybian Sea. Virtually abandoned for 25 years, the village has over the past decade been slowly restored and brought back to life and now provides the setting for a unique holiday experience and the ultimate place to unwind! Ag Pag, as we affectionately call it, has two churches and a score of houses, dotted haphazardly over a wide area of the hillside demarcated by rocky bluffs and olive groves sloping downwards towards the sea. All the houses are built in traditional style from local stone and wood, with terracotta tiled roofs, but all are different shapes and sizes and have their own particular character, based on the lie of the land and the vision of their individual owners. Apart from the very occasional passing car, Ag Pag is amazingly peaceful and by day you can clearly hear the tinkling of goat bells on the hillside a kilometre away. By night its even quieter and the sound of silence is almost tangible, save for the occasional soft hoot of a Skops Owl, or the distant murmur of the sea breaking on Ligres beach, 2km away down the hill. With no large villages let alone towns nearby, the sky at night is a further revelation with a vast and dazzling canopy of stars, seemingly close enough to touch. Finally, it is important to appreciate that Ag. Pag is not a new, purpose built holiday village, but a wonderful old village, that has been restored to life by the enthusiasm and dedication of some of its younger sons and now acts like a magnet to all whose lives it has previously touched. A recent champion of Ag Pags renaissance is Kyriakos, who appeared out of the blue a couple of years ago. returned from the island of Ios together with his wife and young son and built a taverna with a few rooms and a swimming pool just below the village (10 mins walk from the square). Kyriakos who speaks good English, is quietly spoken but with a hugely infectious laugh, he's a real man of the people and loves company so all our customers will be made very welcome. Local Information: The sandy Ligres beach, well served by two tavernas, is just five minutes drive away, whilst a ten minute drive will bring you to an excellent fish taverna on the little harbour in Agia Fotini. Twenty minutes further west of Agia Fotini the unsurfaced road follows the coast to Swallows Canyon where a palm fringed fresh water lagoon backs the sandy beach below the spectacular hilltop monastery of Moni Preveli. Ten minutes drive to the east, are the superb beaches of Trio Petra and beyond, Agios Pavlos. All the beaches on this stretch of the south coast are sandy and relatively quiet even in high season, with a good half dozen strategically placed tavernas. For bakers, mini markets, banks and a little more civilisation, the hill town of Spili, with its handsome Venetian fountains, is a good 40 minutes drive, so it's worth stocking up whilst you're there (we found the delicious bread from the traditional wood fired oven baker froze very well ). Several tavernas offer enticing coffee or lunch stops to make the trip worthwhile. N.B. Car hire is essential and although metalled roads now link most of the small villages and beaches, hiring a 4-wheel drive vehicle gives you the exhilarating option to explore the myriad tiny roads and tracks. Walking - In spring and autumn the area is excellent for walkers and there are footpaths to Ligres and Trio Petra beaches and also to Agia Fotini and even distant Moni Prevelli. A Tale of Two Villages Agia Paraskevi or (St. Friday) is named after the villages 13th century church which until 1979 was cared for by two Greek Orthodox nuns who had lived permanently in the village since the last World War and built a second small church where the square is now located. For hundreds of years the land around the village had been farmed by the villagers of Ardaktos, which stands inland at the head of a precipitous gorge leading down to Agia Paraskevi. From October until June the villagers would stay in Agia Paraskevi, gathering olives and growing wheat before returning to the cooler climes of Ardaktos, during the hottest summer months. Up until the early 60s Agia Paraskevi could boast a population of 30 to 40 inhabitants but Greek rural life was undergoing dramatic changes and by the end of the 60s the village was deserted, save for the two nuns. In the course of time, the village boys of the 60s became men, took up professions, married and had families. Many of them moved to other towns and cities in Crete, but from time to time, especially when they got together at weddings, baptisms, funerals and so on, they would remember their simple and carefree childhood in Agia Paraskevi. In the early 90s eight of these men formed a loose co-operative and obtained a grant from the Greek Government to restore some of the original dwellings on condition they were rebuilt in traditional style. Later others joined the project and today Agia Paraskevi is a village St Friday would be proud of. • We spent 5 days in the beginning of May in this beautiful place. The house is very nice, with a charming garden and a fantastic sea view. It is situated in really rural and quiet surroundings. It takes about 5 minutes by car to get to a very big and beautiful beach where you may not only sunbathe but walk along sea. The beach is almost empty which is incredible as sea water in May is quite warm (for me at least). The parents of Nikolidakis are very hospitable, they treated us to some of their excellent home made food. There are two very good tavernas near - one in the village, one on the beach. Our experience was really great.

  • Very nice house with beautiful view, in a little offroad area. Everything was great in and around the house, the host was also very friendly. The area is very silent and the beaches are not very far away with tje car. We very enjoyned our Night there.

  • We spent a great week in this beautiful traditional house (furniture could be refreshed). Small but cosy oof terrace with an amazing view over the bay in a super quiet and laid back new rebuilt village - perfect to relax. We made day trips from there discovering the impressive beaches and gorges of the region. We recommend Argyro's house warmly.

  • Roomy house, very quiet surroundings and marvellous view from outside the main bedroom. Very well equipped, good space for six people (we were two), nice garden. Car (which we had) is strongly recommended. We were well received: the host and his father met us at the village of Spili (on the main road from Rhethymno to Agia Galini) and we were escorted all the way along smaller (but perfectly safe) roads to Agia Paraskeui. And also: just around the corner (80 m) there is a small taverna run by a retired couple, with really outstanding Cretan home cooking by Eleni. (and free Internet) Not to be missed.

    Tord2014-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The House is very charming but we were unlucky with the weather and the house is in a very windy spot, it was not possible to sleep at night without ear plugs because of how loud the wind was. The House is high on the mountains so you need to know which roads are ok to use and not to depend on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map because it only gives you the shortest way and you could end up on very narrow damaged and dangerous road.. you need to know how to drive well in the mountains. The smell of the kitchen pipes can be very unpleasant when its windy, but its ok when there is no wind. it was nice to have the cats around and the Neighbors dog as well, the restaurant right next to the house has the best food you can have in Crete.

  • Just an amazing time in this remote country house at the end of the road. The seaview is awsome and everything so quiet Vaggelis was a warm and very helpfull host telling us about the best places and little restaurant. Try walking the long empty beaches and Villa Maria taveen down the road to Legis beach

  • Lovely location, authentic house with great views, friendly generous people. Met by Vagellis' father late at night in the dark, and escorted to the house which was very much appreciated. We had no problems with driving as we had a jeep. Beautiful secluded beaches where we swam every day. We loved the peace and quiet and hospitality in the local taverna where we had breakfast every day. Vagellis was at the end of the 'phone to answer any queries. We really like this part of the island and had great weather. Thank you to Vagellis and his father.

  • Maria's place is an excellent place to explore the wonderful beaches of South Crete. A very spacious home for 4 people, with a wonderful terrace and garden to enjoy breakfast and a nice drink at night. Very quiet location, with ample parking space. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms a big plus, and two air-conditioned bedrooms with ample space. The fridge was stocked with fruits, treats and a a nice bottle of wine, such a nice touch for a welcome gift. Check in was seamless and a very warm welcome. Definitely going to visit again. Thank you Maria.

It's really beautiful, with stone walls, outside and inside, stone floor, a nice small garden. I was even was better than what we expected watching the photos. It's very well equipped, we could find whatever we needed: also enough kitchen tools, not as the most "tourists apartments". There were even some board/card games our kids used. The location is very quiet, and stunning. A car is needed to reach the nearest village with a supermarket or beaches and tavernas. The nearest beach, ligres beach was very beatiful, but we enjoyed many beaches nearby. The assistance very fast and efficient. We loved staying in Emilio's house, and would recommend it to everyone.

If you are looking for a holiday house in a real Cretan village, our home gives you the peace and quiet of a rural location. It consists of 1 master bedroom, a living room, a traditional kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 WC, verandas and courtyard. This point overlooks Paximadia islets at south, Gavdos island and White Mountains, offering spectacular and romantic sunsets!
One gets onto the property through the courtyard. In the courtyard there is a stair leading to the first floor, where are located the master bedroom with a private bathroom with shower and two verandas, enjoying views of the endless blue of the Libyan Sea and breathtaking sunsets that will captivate you. Master bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds, 1 double bed and closets. Downstairs, on the other side of the courtyard one can enter the living room, equipped with 2 sofa-beds, 1 dining table and 1 closet. There is a separate traditional kitchen that is fully equipped, but which is not luxurious. A small WC is downstairs reachable through the courtyard. Everything there is, is just simple but efficient.
''Kerames village is located 49km south of Rethymno, close to the village Agalianos. Enjoy the numerous amazing beaches below, with the most famous being the beaches of Akoumiani Gialia, namely Ligres, Triopetra and St. Paul sandhills. The beachfront north of Akoumiani Gialia is called Keramiani Gialia, meaning Keramean Beach, named after the nearby village. Preveli beach and lagoon, sometimes known locally as "Palm Beach", is located below the monastery of Preveli, at the mouth of the Kourtaliótiko gorge.''
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kerames in Sevastiana's house. The house is big enough, and terraces are really nice, even if we we were not really able to enjoy the top one on the roof because of the wind, the other one downstairs was protected from wind and very plaisant too. Décoration is quite rustic, very simple, and makes you feel you're living in a real old Greek house. The village is very nice and really typical, not very touristic, in the middle of nowhere between sea and mountains, you need to have a car to live there but if you have so a lot of nice places in Crete are easily accessible. Sevastiana is really nice and very helpful. We definitely recommand this place to everybody !

  • It's a nice, realy authentic house, with a rooftop terrace with a great view onthe village and sea. On arrival the house easy to find and we had a warm welcome. The house is quite basic but clean. The shower was renovated and comfortable. The beds are not recomended to someone with back problems. The town a has nice small winding streets and friendly people. There is a tavern with good food and two minimarkets. The surroundings are beautiful, with nice beaches at 15 min drive on winding steep roads.

  • Sevastiana's house is in typical Cretan style, very simple, basic style and we liked that a lot. We enjoyed our stay in Kerames also because local people are very friendly and polite. We are happy of this experience. Moreover the location is only 4 km from the magnificent Prevely beach, the famous beach with palms, one of the best attractions in all of Southern Crete. we warmly advise a stay in Kerames if you look for authentic Crete . Thank you Sevastiana and Voula. we hope to come back next year . ciao

  • If you like a traditionell very pituresque Cretan mountain village, then Kerames is the Place!! Sevastiana's charming traditional house is perfect if you like nature, a quiet surrounding with no TV and WLAN. We (family of 3) loved the spacious house with its huge roof-terrace and its spectacular view! The kitchen is well equipped, both bathrooms have hot water, the living room is cozy and the sleeping room upstairs is spacious. We had our meals at the shaddy patio with a wonderful view. The village is lovely with nice tavernas, good house wine & food and very friendly Cretan people. The beaches are close wheras a car is recommendable. Sevastiana is very helpful, so her aunt. All went well and we highly recommend Sevastiana's traditional house. Andrea & Family

If you are looking for a home that offers you tranquility and magic into a real beautiful Cretan village, our home gives you the option to enjoy a wonderful holiday in Kerame. From there will enjoy wonderful views of the Libyan Sea and the beautiful romantic sunsets. the beaches that stretch along considered among the best in the island! There are Triopetra, Aghios Pavlos, the Ligres beach as well as the world famous beach of Preveli known as PALM bEACH with countless palm trees and the river that flows into the sea. The house is on the edge of the village offering great views to the beautiful beaches and mountains. It consists of a single room of about 80 square meters divided into two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room and fireplace. The spaces are stone giving you a little of the magic of Cretan architecture. There is also a large courtyard where you can sit down to relax and enjoy the wonderful views. In the yard there is a second bathroom. In the village you can enjoy relaxing walks in the streets and to drink traditional coffee or eat at a restaurant. You can also shop necessities in the mini market store available. The distance from the town of Rethymno is 45 km from Chania airport 110 km.
  • Lovely older authentic house in the old residential area of an authentic Cretan town. Beautiful view and well structured house described accurately. Would not hesitate to stay again and the hostess did an amazing job of communicating, meeting and making us feel at home.

  • Quiet apartment with an incredible view of the landscape and the sea. The village is a bit secluded and the hot water relies on solar power so it may not be the best to visit during the off season. The apartment is a refurbished medieval building and offers a very unique travel experience. Recommended for summer travelers looking to get out of more "touristy" areas.

  • I warmly recommend the house of Kleopatra and Kostas in Kerames! Our 3 nights stay in this nice and stylish house in Kerames was a highlight of our trip to Crete. We were warmly welcomed by Kostas, Kleopatra's husband. He explained what places to visit, where to eat and also told a lot about local traditions and rural life. The house is well equipped, fresh and nicely decorated. We were one family (3 adults and a child) and house was just perfect for us. Besides sofa and a single bed, There are two double beds but if you are two couples keep in mind that the rooms are not completely isolated from each other even though the second room is on the second floor. the outside terrace is great for star watching. Kerames is a nice small mountain village, where you can see how the locals live. There are very beautiful and tranquil beaches 15-20 min from the village. My favorite was Treopetra, especially the cozy beach on the other side of the Stones. Beaches near Plakias were also nice. Overall, the southern part of Crete is much more authentic and calm than Chania and Heraklion's areas packed with tourists! The memory about this traditional house with great view and very kind and attentive hosts will be one of the best memories from this trip!

  • Karames is a lovely, little village...if you are looking for seclusion and quiet, this is the place! The views are amazing from all 3 levels of the enormous patio. The home is unique and roomy...we ate in often because the nearest opened tavern or restaurant is in Spili...a half hour away. The roads are very windy but the scenery is beautiful. Rethynon is an hour away, where there are fabulous restaurants, shops and grocery stores. We visited in February until early March...chilly but many sunny days to enjoy the beach which is 20 minutes away. Hosts are wonderful and welcoming...great people, great place!

  • I only spent a couple of days at Kleopatra's house, but I wish I could have stayed more: the house is a traditional stone house in a small village in south Crete, from there you can easily reach some beautiful beaches like agios pavlos, triopetra and preveli. The house was very clean and fully equipped (also the kitchen and the bathrooms). We also had the wifi. Kleopatra was extremely kind and helpful, she helped me and my friends with instructions to get to the village and picked us up at the main road to bring us to the house. She welcomed us with fresh fruits and everything for breakfast, and also showed us every corner of the house. We were 7 people and we could stayed there comfortably, she even allowed us to use her bathroom. She enjoyed talking to me and my friends, it was really a great stay!! Last but not least: the view from her terrace is simply amazing! Super recommended!!!

  • We stayed three nights and felt we had a great experience of living in this hillside village, which is still very traditional and gives you a very local experience. The host family were absolutely lovely and were easily accessible and very kind in providing local recommendations and being on hand to answer any questions. We highly recommend this apartment if you want to explore local life and the quieter and beautiful southern beaches.

    Tina2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing hilltop location with outstanding views in a charming remote spot near beautiful beaches. Village taverna was so friendly. Our favourite location and hostess on our "grand tour" of Crete. The kids especially loved it. Would highly recommend for a taste of the local culture and beauty. I'll always remember that view.

    Emily2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful stay in Kerames at Kleopatroa and Kostas's home. Crete was our favorite of the Greek islands and this was one of our best stays... The apartment is unique and has a beautiful two-story balcony, excellent for sunset watching and cozy outside breakfasts. The village is beautiful -- remote and quiet with lovely winding streets that lead you to remarkable views. Kostas couldn't have been a more welcoming host--warm, gracious and accommodating; he not only provided us with directions but drove out to a few of our local destinations to ensure we found them without trouble. The apartment was very well-stocked, clean, and had all the conveniences you would need. Make sure to visit the local beaches (especially Preveli), explore the village, and enjoying the drive in and out. It was hard to leave this stop of our trip.

Our double rooms accomodate 2 persons per room and include : a double bed - Lineastrom matresses for extra comfort and 100% cotton linen - towels, fridge and bathroom with a shower. Our double rooms are located on the first floor and have a spectacular back garden for privacy and rest and a big balcony with breathtaking sea-view!
  • Our holiday at Votsalo apartment was special, since we were on our honeymoon! The room is suitable for a couple which loves nature, the sea (as mentioned by other guests you can really hear sea waves while lying on the bed), some privacy (the spacious terrace provides privacy, as it is sorrounded by walls). The place is quite isolated, though, and you will definetely need a car if you plan to visit some of the beauties of the island. Virginia is a lovely host: she made us felt really spoilt by cleaning and tidying our room every three days and accomplishing all our requests. She even got us some nice (and really tasty) presents from Rethymno! The wine her husband gave us is really superb! All in all, we really appreciated Virginia's warmth, kindness and also her fluent English. She told us that she really loved being a host and spoiling her guests. Since we loved to be spoilt, you could say that was a win-win situation ;-)

Natassa is a very tender person and gives so good vibrations! You feel sorry for leaving.. Thanks for the nice breakfasts and attention in general! Great experience, a different one in crete!

  • A beautiful room, very well equipped and a good vibe. Location is in a small village, between the houses, with a beautiful view of the mountains, and a nice large verandara where it is great to sit. Natassa was very helpful and kind. The goat yoghurt was amazing!

  • Natasa is very nice person. She is very kind and polite.

    Antonio2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Natassa's place, a renovated traditional cretan house. The appartment is very nice and clean, but the coolest thing is the large terrace with a superb mountain view. Kentrochori is a nice little village in a mountain area, from which you can explore the beautiful south of Rethymno. If you are into mountains, probably there are some nice hikes around, but at the same time some great wild beaches like Triopetra and the Agios Pavlos dunes are reachable in less than an hour's drive. The palm tree forest of Preveli, a must-see, is also close. Natasa, the owner, is a great hostess (and person in general). She directly made us feel like home. We could have everything we needed and asked for (also lots of great home-made stuff from Natasa herself, like cheese, sweets, and raki, or things from her garden). Natasa and her sons are also very cool people, and I really enjoyed our discussions on various stuff. I should also note that they are highly skilled musicians, so maybe you get lucky and listen to them play some nice traditional cretan (and more) music. I *highly* recommend this place, particularly if you want to experience some original village atmosphere and hospitality, with nice people and in beautiful surroundings, away from tourist crowds. It was a pity we could not stay there longer.

    Pantelis2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement was just a dream! Located in a small mountain village, fully equipped and very clean. Natassa is a very caring and helping person who is always available if needed. The place is perfect to leave one's cares behind and the perfect starting point for excursions to the beaches of agio pavlos, triopetra and preveli. The traditional tavern at The beginning is also a lovely place which serves delicious food and from where you have a beautiful view over the Mountains and dales. It is also highly recommended to utilize the self-made breakfast by Natassa.

    Sandra2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • It´s been a fantastic stay in Natassa´s home. I would only repeat what other visitors have already written: Natassa is a wonderful host and cook and a great and courageous woman. The beautiful village house is located in a somptuous mountain landscape. Everything is harmonious and peaceful and at the same time very lively, thanks partly to Natassa´s goats, lamb, hens, rabbits and sweet little puppy Rosie. Very nice hiking tracks just outside the village. I could not have hoped better holiday.

  • We (a couple and our 5yo girl) had a very nice little house within the few triopetraview villas Stella is renting. It was very clean and calm, 3 min by car to triopetra beach. Stella has been a really great host. We had white wine and juice and fruits to welcome us in the house ! Triopetra is incredibly quiet and wild, you feel as if you were alone. No tourists, No hotels. Just one warning : the wind in August! It was very very windy when we were there and even the houses are in a windy spot. But that's part of the charm and it was so nice to be alone on the beach :)) Thanks again Stella ! Hope to come back soon.

    Eugenie2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We recommend Stella's place for people who are searching for calmness, visiting this south part of the island and who are not afraid to drive curvy roads to get somewhere. It was very clean, lots of space for two people and very quiet. The kitchen is simple equipped, but enough for breakfast and easy meals. The bungalow is not in the first row, it is behind the two big villas, but neitherless you have a very nice view over the sea. We would come again & definetely recommend this airbnb. (tip: to get to Stella's place you have to drive a road over the beach of Triopetra - we didn't find it in first place)

    Lukas2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Tripoetra View Villas. The bungalow is brand new, very clean, well supplied and has a nice view. It is very close to the beach. Stella and her sister Irini were lovely hosts and very attentive to our needs. The suite offers good value for money and we would recommend this as a great option for travelers to Crete.

Relaxing and spacious holidays for 2 to 4 people in a traditional stone house with lush gardens and impeccable views of the Libyan Sea
Nestled privacy and green, Villa Estella is a 120 sq. m., two-level, traditional stone home ideal for families or friends 2 to 4persons.  The villa's layout with large gardens, terraces , a pool and amazing views. On the first (ground) level, there are a spacious dining room ,the kitchen and large outdoor spaces where you can enjoy your breakfast or any meal al fresco, relax while listening to the chirping of the birds or swim in your private pool while admiring the panoramic sea views. Two steps away you will find two bedrooms (one with a large-size bed and ensuite bathroom and the other with two single beds and bathroom). Just a ten minute/3km drive from villa Estella is the wonderful Triopetra Beach which is, in effect, two beaches separated by a small peninsula facing three majestic rocks rising up from the sea; overlooked by the ancient chapel of Profitis Ilias, Koumado has a few tavernas and sun shades for hire while the larger beach, Chatzi, offers more tavernas and famously picturesque sunsets. The fine sands wander westward for several kilometres offering magnificent views to the Lefki Ori mountains, great for a leisurely stroll or perhaps a scenic drive along the small coastal road which zig zags inland now and then around river valleys and other natural topography. En route, why not stop at sleepy Ligres, home to a couple of very highly regarded tavernas offering delicious local dishes in a delightfully unspoilt environment, or maybe the tiny hamlet of Agia Fotini with a couple of equally appealing tavernas and quiet bays ideal for snorkelling (the South coast of Crete famously offers some of the clearest water in Greece). Averaging over 2800 hours of sunshine per year, southern Crete is a fascinating region with unique flora, fauna and birdlife (African swallows can be seen almost all year round) and so many wonderful beaches (Frangokastello,Plakias, Preveli and Aghia Gallini to name but a few). All of this, combined with the balmy weather means a visit to this laid back and soothing corner of Greece is sure to surprise and delight " Location and Area Attractions: In the magnificent beach of Triopetra (3km) you will find two taverns. In the next village, Akoumia (6km) you can find coffee shops and a petrol station. Nearby, in Spili (10km) you have access to mini markets, taverns, cafes, post office, bank and a health center. The beautiful coastal town of Ag. Galini has a greater variety of tourist amenities and is situated 15 km away. For nature-loving people who want to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday. For the most outgoing, the vibrant city of Rethymnon is about 38km away.i

Our villa is located on a foothill of a mountain, in a traditional and peaceful village of Kato Saktouria in southern Crete, offering tremendous views of Libyan sea and surrounding mountains. The area around the village is totally in nature and quiet and you will be able to relax and feel “away from it all” from the first moment of your arrival. It is one of the best locations if you seek to stay away from the tourist areas of Crete and also visit the amazing natural beaches of south Crete such as Agios Pavlos, Agia Galini, Triopetra and many more! One of the closest big village with range of amenities such as shops, bakeries, taverns and supermarkets is the picturesque fishing village of Agia Galini, around 15 minutes drive from the villa. Additionally the well known village of Spili which also has all the amenities and a health centre is located around 20 minutes drive away. If you like adventure, the location also offers the advantage of exploring the unique natural environment of Crete’s inland. Explore the villages, interact with the locals, find taverns with real Cretan cuisine and products, walk in the gorges around or find some totally isolated beaches! We will be happy to make you suggestions and directions for places which only locals know about them.
  • Good communication, taking care. Thanks.

  • We had a very relaxing week at this luxury apartment. The house is big enough for a family although it was just the two of us. Everything is brand new (at time of writing) and worked like a charm. The owner of the apartment was very kind and showed us everything we needed to know. We also got directions to the nearest supermarkets which for a small one is around 20min drive and larger ones are a bit further out. Restaurants are also around 20min drive away. You will certainly need a car to make your way around the area. I would definitely suggest this home for anyone who wants some quiet time combined with some luxury.

  • Kostas and Sophia were very informative and gave us all the information we needed and more! The owner greeted us on our arrival even when our flight was very late. We were greeted with food and wine to the most beautiful villa! The house is as perfect as the pictures and just ideal for a romantic break!

  • Smart apartment with a fantastic sunset view. Great beach 15 minutes drive away.

  • Its tough to know where to start, because there have been so many positives about our stay in this beautiful villa! First of all Mr. Nondas, the owner of the villa, gave us a very warm welcome with a bottle of red wine and a selfmade chocolate cake from his mother, its been delicious! Generally the Villa matched our expectations and we knew right from the beginning that we made a great choice to come here. The location of the villa is perfect for everyone who wants to spend some days away from the crowded and noisy tourist spots. The view from the villa is just beautiful, with the sea to the left and mountains to the right, you don't get tired of looking. Not only the villa itself has been great, but also the organization in general. Just to give you a few impressions, the villa has its on app with lots of information about beaches, restaurants, activities, etc, also you can call/message anytime and you will get a quick response, no matter the question you have, something i've not experienced in a way like that before. Finally i have to say that we enjoyed being in this part of Crete a lot, the food, the beaches, the people, just everything. If you plan to come here, don't miss out on this villa! Thanks for everything

  • The view is stunning. From the house you can see a boundless landscape of mountains and ocean. The house is new, as are all of the top-notch furnishings. The owner is incredibly kind and stocked the kitchen with groceries since we were arriving at night. The only thing I would mention is that it is a bit of a drive (on winding roads) up to the house and it is some distance from the nearest town. A great place to get away from it all.

  • The villa in Kato-Saktouria is definitely worth to stay in. It has everything you need and more. Renting a car is a must do because the house is situated in a very calm area. Nevertheless you can go to the beach in about 15 minutes and visit Agia Galini (very beautiful village with some supermarkets) in less than 25 minutes.

  • A stunning get away from it all retreat. Especially those seeking authentic taste of rural Crete. Amazing views of the sea and mountains. It is well worth the drive from the airport and you will find yourselves alone on many beaches on this part of the island.

  • It was very well arranged, the property is very nice, just as nice as the pictures or maybe even better. The view is perfect, just beautiful, great for eating outside! Will recommend.

  • We enjoyed our best airbnb experience to date at Galini Villas. We can't recommend it highly enough. Kostas and his colleague Sophia manage the villas on behalf of the owner, Nondas. Ahead of our visit, Kostas and Sophia provided a wealth of helpful information via email and their dedicated mobile app. They arranged for a baby cot and high chair to be provided, and liaised with Nondas to have our first food shop waiting for us at the villa. The delightful Nondas met us on arrival and showed us around. The villas are brand new, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. We didn't want for anything. During our stay Sophia was regularly in touch to ensure everything was fine and to offer local recommendations and advice. Nondas and his brother visited every 3 days, according to a provided schedule, to change linens and towels. The villas are in Kato Saktouria, a tiny hamlet 15 mins drive from Triopetra beach and 20 mins from Agia Galini. The setting is incredibly beautiful, with uninterrupted views of the sea to the south, a verdant valley to the west, and mountains to the north. As Kato Saktouria is approx. 200m above sea level, and as there is often a breeze, the temperature at the villas is typically a few degrees centigrade cooler than in Agia Galini. If you're looking for top quality accommodation in a beautiful part of Crete, outside the tourist centres but only a short drive from restaurants, bars, etc, Galini Villas come highly recommended.

  • First of all thanks for organizing our stay at Villa Galini. We had a great time and the communication and information from the owner Nondas and Sophia was perfect from the beginning until the end. Because of our late arrival Nondas arranged a delicious Moussaka and wine. We loved the house because it was modern and clean just like the pictures. We also loved the area, because it was not crowded (not many tourist) and the people were very kind. Thanks again and hopefully we see you another time.

  • Everything was just spectacular! Villa, location, host and overall service. Definitely perfect, secluded place with everything that men can possibly need and even more. Great location, near several great beaches and towns, good infrastructure nearby. Design of the villa is top notch, private pool amazing. Great value for money and 200% recommendation and place we will come next time to.

  • My family and I stayed for 5 days. The house was beautiful and clean with great views, pictures of the house have been accurate. Our assistant Sophia and the owner of the house Mr. Nondas have been responsive and helpful. It is close to several nice beaches and you will definitely need a car. Overall it has been a very comfortable stay.

  • Susanne and her husband were kept waiting while we navigated our way through the hilly terrain after picking up the car at 11.00 p..m. They were there to meet and greet us and came out to show us the way to the villa which was difficult to navigate being unused to the terrain and not realising that eithe(URL HIDDEN)would have been useful or a smaller vehicle.

  • Susanne house is simply great! Located in a very quiet and isolated place, 20 minutes walk from a very nice and preserved beach, the house is very convenient. If you like to get away from very touristy area, this is the perfect spot! Susanne and Bernard have been so nice, helpful and very friendly with very good advices.

  • We really enjoyed staying in Susanne's house for a week long escape from the city. The location is fantastic, only a 15 minute drive from 3 beautiful beaches and we enjoyed the uninterrupted view out to the Libyan sea in the evenings. We enjoyed looking after the cats living here too. Susanne was a very responsive host and provided us with lots of information about the house and area. This is definitely a great place to stay if you love the outdoors and want to enjoy rural Crete :)

    Fani2016-07-26T00:00:00Z

In the scenic quiet village Kerames (southern Rethymno,Crete) next to its beautiful square with the 2 traditional cafes, is my grandfather’s 100-year-old two-storey house situated.Well-maintained (respecting its traditional character), it comprises all modern facilities.Sit on its whitewashed terrace drinking a glass of raki, enjoy the view of the Libyan Sea and the beautiful beaches which are only 3-4 km away.In Kerames, there are 2 super markets and 2 taverns serving traditional Cretan dishes.
Our house in Kerames is fully equipped and except from the previously mentioned facilities, there is also a DVD player, a kettler, an espresso machine DOLCE GUSTO, a filter coffee maker, sandwich maker, toaster and a vaccum cleaner. The house is of traditional preserved architecture. The dominant colors are white, blue and that of the wood. It consists of the ground floor and the 1st floor. On the ground floor there is a very beautiful cool interior yard, called avlidaki. Around it are the toilet and the bathroom, the large kitchen, the door to the old cellar and the stone-built white staircase to the upper floor. On the first floor, there is a veranda with a wooden pergola and a view of the Libyan Sea and around it the bedrooms and the living room. The thick walls of the house is one of its special features, since it is an old stone built dwelling, and so are the old wooden roofs with the reeds, which have been preserved with love and effort through the years.
The neighborhood is very quiet and cool, close to the main square and when you go down the central alley, you have a wonderful view of the Libyan Sea. Every Sunday after the Church service, it is common for the locals to gather in the Square for coffee . Walk in the scenic village alleys as well as in the upper neighborhood beyond the old school.
  • Traditional and really well equipped, beautiful white and blue home with small half-open terrace and wide sea-view in a lovely, old and friendly village. We found it hard to leave!

    Mattias2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! Manolis and his wife Patty have reconstructed their old house in Kerame respecting the history and the architecture of the area. It's a place to relax, 10 to 20 minutes away from the most amazing beaches of Agios Pavlos, Triopetra and Preveli. The balcony offers you a top view of the beaches. The house in general is very spacious and fully equipped. The area is great if your need is to relax and swim in those deep blue waters and, off course, the food in the village and around the area was amazing! I definitely recommend you to chose this place for your stay.

  • Eleftheria and Manolis are most friendly and hospitable host. They are relaxed and easy-going and easy to get aling with. Communication was very good and quick as well, when we had a question they were there in 5 minutes to help us out. They even drove us home from the restaurant in the village ( O geroplatanos, which I highly recommend you visit when you cone here) so we wouldn't have to walk, they lent us jackets when we were chilly and left us all kinds of very good treats. The house itself is lovely as well, it has all you could wish for in a holiday-home. The pool and terrace are lovely as well and the view, well it's just stunning! All in all a very good place if you are looking for a quiet holiday retreat, with enough to see and do within driving distance.

Nestled privacy and green, Villa Gerasimos is a 130sq. m., two-level, traditional stone home ideal for families or friends 2 to 4 persons. Three steps away you will find two bedrooms (one with a large-size bed and ensuite bathroom and the other with two single beds and bathroom). Just a ten minute/3km drive from villa gerasimos is the wonderful Triopetra Beach which is, in effect, two beaches separated by a small peninsula facing three majestic rocks rising up from the sea; overlooked by the ancient chapel of Profitis Ilias, Koumado has a few tavernas and sun shades for hire while the larger beach, Chatzi, offers more tavernas and famously picturesque sunsets. The fine sands wander westward for several kilometres offering magnificent views to the Lefki Ori mountains, great for a leisurely stroll or perhaps a scenic drive along the small coastal road which zig zags inland now and then around river valleys and other natural topography. En route, why not stop at sleepy Ligres, home to a couple of very highly regarded tavernas offering delicious local dishes in a delightfully unspoilt environment, or maybe the tiny hamlet of Agia Fotini with a couple of equally appealing tavernas and quiet bays ideal for snorkelling (the South coast of Crete famously offers some of the clearest water in Greece).Averaging over 2800 hours of sunshine per year, southern Crete is a fascinating region with unique flora, fauna and birdlife (African swallows can be seen almost all year round) and so many wonderful beaches (Frangokastello,Plakias, Preveli and Aghia Gallini to name but a few). For the most outgoing, the vibrant city of Rethymnon is about 38km away.
  • This place is amazing, you have a stunning view from the terrace. The house is very nice too, the pool is cleaned several times, everything was made to enjoy our holiday. There is a lovely restaurant Filenia, a few hundred meters away, great food and typical, recommended by our host. We would love to come back to Triopetra.

  • As others have said, Stelios is a lovely, welcoming host, very responsive to requests and questions. The garden is charming and the views are beautiful. We loved hearing the sound of the sheep bells in the surrounding fields. One should be aware of the fact that the house is quite remote (which can be a plus for many), and a lot of driving is necessary. Also not ideal for young children, in my opinion: many steep stairs. The traditional cretan architecture is attractive and the house is comfortable and very clean, but the decor and furniture of the living area shown on the website photos had been switched and instead of the attractive, elegant furniture shown, we found a completely different, rather kitschy furniture, which we did not like at all. Also make sure to request that the pool be ready to use when you arrive. We were only there 3 days, and it was only cleaned on the second day, so we ended up not using it.

  • Great secluded location among south coast unspoiled scenery. Reasonable driving distance to plenty of stunning beaches. The house is a pearl , tastefully remodeled preserving original features , furnitures and objects. Stelio is an extremely kind and helpful host. We loved our stay .

The space I have is a family holiday home, this was indeed the use. It has a large terrace and a large garden with lots of greenery and trees. Ideal for those seeking relaxation and tranquility during their holidays surrounded by nature and just 40 meters from the sea. It consists of two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Very close there is a tavern with great cuisine and fresh fish.
  • The house is an idyllic place with lots of positive energy.

ZorbaZen House is a traditional Greek island white and blue house offering 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and 3 huge private patios with panoramic sea views. All are perfect for hanging out and sipping wine.... Secluded beaches are only 2.5 km away! Welcome!
Panoramic views of the sea and mountains are available from every room, including the bathrooms! Views from the house are some of the best we have ever seen! (if we can so so ourselves!)
The house lies on the edge of a traditional village known as Kerames, population 100. This sleepy village has remained practically unchanged for decades, if not centuries. A large part of its residents are elderly, still washing their clothes by hand, walk slowly, pick and grow their own food and go to church on Sundays. An authentic Cretan experience that seems to be so rare these days…Most of the narrow winding streets are inaccessible by car. There is a silence, relaxation and authenticity in this little village – it is a place we can simply be and enjoy, without effort.
  • My friends and I stayed at Jivan's for five days and had an amazing time. Big terraces with a beautiful view, friendly locals, quiet beaches a 20 minutes way and stunning views when you drive along the mountain roads. Thank you so much!

    Andrea2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful place and enjoyed every minute of it. Its even better than what I was expecting. The place is clean and confortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the location of the apartment is perfect. Central while also being very peaceful. We were there with our 2 boys (11 and 14) and they never wanted to leave the house 'cause they felt so good being there, and we all had ample space to either have dinner together or watch a movie or each of us be in a separate place and have some quiet time. We absolutely loved the village and its villagers. Very nice people. It is a very small village with not much to do. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, beautiful night skies and the best area (in my opinion) of South Crete, this is the place to rent. I would love to spend every summer at Jivan's place! Special mention to Paul who was so nice to us and always available.

  • Before we booked, we read every review about Zorba Zen House and even though we knew that it must be a beautiful place, we were more than happy being there. It is such a beautiful place in a greek village in the mountains with wonderful views to the sea from everywhere. As we were here in June, nature was still green and at the house wonderful flowers were growing, its put together with a lot of love. The 3 terrasses are great, if you stay at the house all day long, you can find nice and quiet places in the shade and the beaches nearby can be reached fast by car. We really enjoyed everything here: this wonderful house, the peacefullness of nature, outragious night skies, very nice people of Kerames, the good greek food. The directions Jivan and Alf shared with us were very helpful as well as Paul who was always there if we needed something. The kitchen is well equiped, nice beds, everything you need is available. We highly recommend Zorba Zen House for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

  • Kerames is the nicest village in the region, the ZorbaZen House the nicest place in Kerames. In the morning we enjoyed the east terrace, in the evening we stayed on the west terrace, observed the sundown and ate the dinner. For the magnificent star sky we used the uppermost terrace. And in the miraculous kitchen, in which everything exists, we cooked in Greek, in Italian, in German and Swiss. A wonderful place, near to wonderful, lonesome beaches, in an impressive landscape!

    Markus2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you very much for letting us stay in ZorbaZen House. It was the best accommodation we had in a long time - the house is perfectly located at the verge of the beautiful little village of Kerames. We spent two very very pleasant weeks in the house, enjoyed the lovely terraces to the west and the east as well as the lonely beaches (which are just 10 minute drives away). Jevan and Alf are very friendly and suppportive, we always had a good and informative communication with them. Fantastic holidays – unforgetable impressions We hopefully will come back!!

    Alexandra2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Jivan and Alf's house! Everything was perfect. The south coast is beautiful, wild, has great beaches and few turists, most of them greek. There are some nice restaurants on the differant beaches and 1-2 in the village. The house has the most incredible view! From every terrasse, every room you look directly on the see. It's beautiful! The rooms are spacious and nice. The place is very calm. We spent a week there and just loved it! Thank you Jivan and Alf!

    Julie2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly, this was the most beautiful accommodation we have ever experienced. The word "breathtaking" is no exaggeration, it is simply true! Jivan and Alf are perfect hosts, caring and cheerful. We are very happy we met them - we really hope we will meet again. Kerames is a great place. Very traditional, quite remote (which we think is an advantage that keeps it so unspoiled) but full of nice people.

A stunning villa in the south of Crete, amazing views, quiet, unspoilt area. You can really get to know the real Crete in this location. The villa is located between 2 small villages and a 5 minute drive to the beautiful and quiet beaches of Ligres, Agia Fotini and Triopetra.

    Michael2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 10 gorgeous, cloud-free days at Eleni and Paul's dreamy Cretan retreat. Every morning we would admire the knockout view of the Libyan Sea from the terrace, before trying to decide whether to take the 45 min stroll down to stunning Ligres and Triopetra beaches, jump in the car to chilled out Remythnon or Spili, or simply lounge in the giant paddling pool at the house. The house is decorated with real style. The kitchen, open plan to the living room with great views, is well equipped. Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and chic: look out for the roll top bath in the master bedroom. Eleni made sure we had lots of tips so that we would make the most out of our stay, and she was always a text message away if needed. While the house is blissfully remote - hardly a property in sight - we enjoyed being able to walk into the local village for provisions and dinner at the brilliant local kafenos. Plus seaside tavernas in Ligres and Agia Fotini are not to be missed. We already plotting a return trip!

  • Friends and I came for a week at the beginning of May. The house is beautiful and the views are even better! Loved going down to the beach and eating in local tavernas. Had a bbq on the upstairs terrace which was also great for sunbathing! Eleni and Paul are lovely and very communicative, understanding and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place - a hidden gem.

  • Just a great house in an amazing place ! Very good communication. The house is spaceful, very calm and near beautiful beaches with good tavernas. We spent a very good time in this house.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Paul and Eleni's beautiful home. Their house is located just a few minutes away from the small town of Kerames, and sits atop a beautiful hillside with spectacular views of the sea and countryside. It is only a few minutes away from several stunning beaches. Paul was a wonderful host and gave us excellent tips for checking out the area, including introducing us to several great tavernas nearby for fantastic meals. Paul and Eleni have thought of every detail in the house, making it a very comfortable and lovely stay. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to come back soon!

    Claire2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a truly wonderful time in this very special house. One of the best parts was at night, lying on the sofa on the upstairs terrace watching the shooting stars cross the Milky way, while sipping a glass of the excellent local wine. Other good points: Deserted beaches, great local tavernas, very quiet at night, fantastic hiking, very friendly locals. We would return without any hesitation

    Flick2016-10-25T00:00:00Z

  • This villa is in the most beautiful setting you could imagine. 360 degree views of the sea and mountains. We arrived late at night up the windy road and when we woke up we were astounded by the beauty. There are many terraces and a lovely BBQ area, plus a nice sized pool on the lower level of the landscaped garden. Georgios was the perfect host and helped with every query instantly. Chrisoulla, the cleaner came every few days and was delightful. She even taught us how to cook the snails we had bought from Spili (mostly by miming and a few English words!). If you like a peaceful setting, beautiful views, nice beaches and tavernas within a short drive, 3 gorges nearby, and luxurious rooms and bathrooms, this is the place for you! We will return!

  • George's place is so much more than the photos. It was simply stunning. A spacious 4 bedroom villa, tastefully decorated with everything you need....with an exceptional outside space with lots of seating, a great stone bbq area, pool (URL HIDDEN) much space and the view was just amazing. So quiet and tranquil it really is away from the bustle of tourism. A very peaceful spot. Beaches are 15 mins drive away. A great taverna at Ligres beach which served delicious fresh local food. The local village is 5 mins away with a mini market which stocks most things you need but for anything more substantial you would have to drive to Spilli which is about 20 mins away. If you are looking at totally getting away from it all and having a very relaxing time, I can't recommend George's villa enough.

    Nic2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good experience in the Kerames villa, during the winter holidays, even if we had some adventures on the roads going up, because of the snow fall. The villa is very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable, with patios and splendid terraces, it has indeed a breathtaking panoramic view over the sea, the surroundings are amazingly genuine and picturesque. We had all the facilities we needed in the house, including fireplace for warming up in the cold nights. Ursula, the housekeeper, was very helpful when needed, also our host George was helpful and friendly. We are sure the villa is a paradise during the summer. There are also beautiful beaches close to it and good home made food "tavernas" in the villages around. Only a precious advice: if you come during the winter, when sometimes it might snow a little bit, just hire a 4X4 car, as the villa is up in the mountains and the roads could become a little rough.

Eva's Garden House is located at the picturesque traditional village of Kerame in South Rethymnon, with narrow alleys, a scenic square and views to the crystal clear sea and the splendid beaches. The residence is a family holiday home, with spacious, neat and comfortable rooms that can accomodate up to 8 people. Enjoy our homemade welcome drinks in the yard and garden. Make use of the detailed information pack on tips for the area that we have especially prepared and offer to our guests.
As a holiday home, Eva's Garden House, has created and hosted plenty nice memories for our family and we hope that this will apply to our guests too. The house has easy access (at the entrance of the village) and it is located in a quiet little alley. One of its main characteristics is the front garden and the quiet yard, in which you may enjoy relaxing moments in the shade of the pink-white bougainvillea and the red ibiscus or try the vanilla fruits, peaches and lemons. The house, although new, it has been recently further renovated. It has eastern orientation, which enables perfect living conditions all year round. It has spacious, comfortable rooms. The design of the house, with the bedrooms located on the 2 opposite sides of the house enables to easily accommodate up to 8 people. On one side there is one big bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 semi-double bed and a big cupboard. The 2nd bedroom, with 1 double bed, is situated on the opposite side of the house, with direct access to the living room, in which one can find 2 sofa beds and a big dinner table. The fully equipped kitchen and bathroom are located in between. In the kitchen the guests can find all necessary electric appliances (fridge, electric cooker, toaster, roaster, boiler) while there is a stove for heating during winter. In the bathroom there is a washing machine and a big cupboard with the first aid kit and a hairdryer. The house has a solar water heater, which ensures hot water all year round. It worth noting that the tap water is drinkable.
The house is located near many local amenities. There are 2 mini markets at Kerames, one at the upper entrance of the village and one just around the corner of the house (less than 10m away). The central square is just 40m away of the house, where one can find 2 traditional cretan ‘kafeneia’ (cafes), with local food and drink delicacies, even local dishes on demand. At the upper part of the village there are two traditional ‘tavernas’ (local restaurants). More ‘tavernas’, serving sea food and other local dishes, are operating at the coast, during the summer period (April to November). Finally, there is free wifi access at the central square.

My home is in Kerames, a small quiet village in South Crete. It is around 3 kilometers far from beautiful beaches with crystal water. In the village there are tavernas, cafes and a minimarket. From my terrace you can enjoy the attractive view and the beauty of the Libyan Sea. Furthermore, there are nice and big mountains that you can visit by car or on foot. My home is appropriate for couples, activities for one person, professional travelers, families (with children) and pets.
