“Consistently excellent food, I especially like the crumbed olives. They often had a lunch special, 2 courses and wine, which is lovely, as well as degustation menus. Also, do nice breakfasts. About 5 minutes walk if you go via the Ching Street bush track, or you can head up Willmett Street, and head downtown that way.”

“This is the main passenger ferry. It operates from early morning to late at night and takes about 25 minutes between the mainland and the island. You can get a taxi or shuttle from the airport easily; the trip takes about 15 minutes. There is a parking lot, if you want to leave your vehicle on the mainland while visiting the island.”

“One of 4 movie cinemas in Townsville Central Village also includes Max Brenner Chocolate Shop, Hog's Breath Cafe, Guzman Y Gomez, Relish Cafe, Reds Salon and Fratello's Coffee. During our holidays we often get out to the movies here then spend some time at The Strand after a day movie or Max Brenner for latter evening showings.”
