  • Sally ~ Thank you so very much for your warm hospitality. The yurt is amazing and I've been dreaming of my retirement in a cozy yurt like yours. Dalton and I enjoyed our short get-away and I hope to visit you again. It was wonderful!! Julie & Dalton

  • I stayed here with my honey over New Years Eve. It was the perfect little getaway we were looking for. It was so nice to stay somewhere our dogs could join and have trails we could walk that start right at the door step. It was everything we could have asked for and then more. Kitchen set up, big bed, wood stove, claw foot bathtub, some books, a CD player and even a TV with netflix :) Sally kept us stocked with plenty of wood, which was nice because the yurt can be drafty. But once the wood stove gets going it stays nice and toasty. Sally also brought us some free range eggs from her hens along with some coffee to make, butter, and sugar. If you bring your own meals, you will be perfectly content to stay put for a few days :)

    Jessie2015-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The celestial yurt was such a warm and welcoming space. The experience was peaceful; it was so comfortable and warm on a cold night with the fire going in the wood stove. The bathroom was luxurious and the bed beyond comfortable. The property was fun to explore, as well, with a hiking trail to a creek just behind the yurt. I would have loved to have more time, but Sally and the yurt went above and beyond providing everything needed to feel right at home, including fresh eggs! Thank you!

    Chelsea2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very quite and close to town. The food in Oakridge didn't disappoint. Sally gave great tips about the area. Her eggs were amazing!

    Sunshine2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our first time in a yurt and it was fantastic! Quiet, scenic, with an extremely comfy bed. Loved it!

    Kari2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were met with fresh eggs and coffee as others have noted. The yurt is very romantic and secluded. It is wonderful to stay in a yurt with an indoor bath, toilet, and kitchen. I've never had such amenities! Sally was very responsive when we had an issue with a blown fuse. She was great.

    Cynthia2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Although we were only able to stay overnight in the yurt: it was absolutely worth it. The yurt itself was extremely cozy and quaint with the sweetest ranch vibe you could ever imagine. Not only was the yurt fantastic, but Sally was equally (if not more) delightful. We blew a fuse, to which Sally came down to fix and... well, showed us how to properly start a fire. She is an extremely kind host with a fantastic sense of humor. Can't wait to come back.

  • The Celestial Yurt met every need and wish my mate and I had for a romantic, rustic getaway. Nestled in the Cascades, we had access to great hiking, Salt Creek Falls, hot springs, and a surprisingly delicious restaurant (Lee's Gourmet Garden) within a few miles. The yurt itself was cozy, yet spacious; rustic, yet equipped with every modern pleasure you could hope for from a vacation. The wood-burning stove, multiple heaters, and hot shower/tub were sufficient in keeping out the winter chill. The sleigh bed was almost too comfortable, making it near impossible to have an early morning. Sally was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Thanks to her sweet personality and excellent hospitality, we had the loveliest weekend getaway.

  • Cozy cabin... we loved staying here in the pouring rain... even with a detached bathroom. We ate a way nicer than expected dinner down the road at Steamboat Inn, it was pricey but local and delicious. Hot springs 20 minutes up the road... I highly recommend the trek through the woods even in the sleet.

THE FIRES ARE OVER!!! Mountain Mama Lodge remains unscathed and we are again open for reservations. We are just across the highway from the North Umpqua River! MML is the perfect spot for hikers, bikers, fishermen, hunters, families and retreat-goers for exploration of Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and areas of the North Umpqua Trail and forest. Refer to the National Forest Service for any closed trails or river access.
Bring your group for biking, camping, fishing, hunting, crafting or just a relaxing retreat! Also a private and romantic getaway for 2.
Stunningly beautiful! We are a short walking distance to the North Umpqua River (just across the street!) yet are conveniently located next to the Dry Creek Store for any needs you may have. We are surrounded in every direction by forest, creeks and waterfalls, making our neighborhood one of the most beautiful and serene in the Cascade Range and southern Oregon. We are approximately 50 miles east of Roseburg on Hwy 138; the closest to the Crater Lake National Park north entrance.
  • Great location close to great hiking. Cute cabin with clever touches done by the owner. AC was a welcome surprise! Kids loved the games left and the beds were so comfortable!!! Curtains were nice to separate the spaces. We wish we had more time!

  • This place is a shining example of what AirBnB can be. The detail in decoration and equipment is very nice, and the place was very clean. Sherry wasn't there, but made sure everything was well prepared and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We can't recommend both her as well as her lovely cottage highly enough!

    Dennis2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! Would defintely stay here again. Everything we needed was there. Beds were comfortable and shower was a treat.

    John2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a quiet, sweet, well equipped Cabin. The beds were good . The shower was a treat. The near by grocery was very handy. We were happily surprised by an old Type Writer and a Dial Phone, as well as other decor that we could try to explain our young daughters... :-) Notice that there is no cellular reception and no WiFi - so come prepare. We enjoyed the disconnect. The owner, Sherry, is very nice and caring! We enjoyed her cookies :-) Many Card board and Box Games. Recommended for a family. We stayed 2 nights.

    Gal2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • I loved everything about this place! Sherry is a wonderful host as well. You won't be disappointed.

    Liezel2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the Mountain Mama lodge. Sherry was a phenomenal host. It was evident that she took a lot of effort to ensure every comfort was available to the guests down to the finest detail. Example - She was nice enough to leave the lights on for us as we were arriving late in the night. She even had the sofa beds set up and ready for us to crash upon arrival. She arranged the wood in the fireplace; all I had to do was "light a match". Directions to the lodge were super accurate. The amenities at the lodge were perfect. They really thought everything through. My family and I had a great time here. Highly recommend!

    Sid2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry's cabin was perfect for our needs. It was just as described and she was a welcoming, communicative host. For outdoorsy types, it could not be in a better location with access to incredible nature and hiking all around you. Would definitely return!

    Jon2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry's place is wonderful and ticks all the boxes for a great vacation stay. Her directions for check-in were detailed and thorough and so we found the place super easily -- she had also let us know ahead of time that we would not have cell phone service in the park, which was very helpful! When you enter the cabin you can immediately see that Sherry's hosting style is all about attention to detail and wanting to make her guests feel completely at home and have the best time during their stay. We made dinner there (kitchen super well-equipped) and had the best night's sleep and the outdoor shower was amazing! Everything worked perfectly and we were super comfortable. Only wish we'd stayed longer!

  • Unbelievable location, over looking the North Umpqua river. Secluded and private, right next to the towns general store for all your convenience. Randy was helpful and friendly with directions. The area is in a cell deadzone and we had trouble with wifi, regardless, I would strongly recommend a stay here!

    Kurt2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely home, perfect for quiet getaway. The wifi works, but it's pretty spotty- which only helped us unplug even further. The house is very well equipped and Idleyld is an adorable little blip in the road. We wish we could have done dinner at the lodge across the highway. All in all, a very sweet early spring vacation.

This beautiful picturesque cabin overlooks A creek surrounded by forest, wildlife, and rivers. Read a book in a hammock overlooking the creek, enjoy a peaceful soak in the hot tub while listening to the running river, or enjoy a cup of coffee while gazing out at nature and listening to the surrounding wildlife. Frequently visited by deer, geese, a great blue heron and much more.
The property is nestled in the Umpqua National Forest away from the hustle and bustle of cities. Some of the most popular activities include the following: Near Countless hiking trails The best star gazing due to the remote location void of light pollution Near the best year-round fishing including Salmon and Steelhead Popular hunting destination Rock jumping and swimming Rafting and River floating Mountain biking 10 minutes from the tallest Sugarpine in the world About 2 hours from Crater Lake 1 hour 45 minutes from Ashland (Shakespeare Festival) 40 minutes to Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville Around an hour from many wine vinyards Things to keep in mind: There is no cell service at the cabin. Phones can be connected via wifi (albeit slower than you may be accustomed to) and there is a landline for use. The cabin is near a little market filled with primarily snacks and camping necessities, but you probably want to get your groceries in a larger town prior to driving to the cabin. Canyonville is the closest town with a grocery store. This cabin is also located in bear and cougar country. Please be alert. Do not let kids roam alone. Be safe when hiking. We also have poison oak on the property. We’ve tried to clear a lot, but you may run into it. There is Tecnu wash in the cabin. The creek supplies all the water in the cabin. Water goes through multiple filtration systems and has been tested safe, but you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you desire. Fire season runs throughout the summer months. During this time, it can be hazy. No fire pits are allowed. Please check local news for active fires in the area. The closest hospital is in Roseburg (about an hour away). • Amazing place for a quiet relaxing weekend away! Clean, cute, cozy and convenient my location between Eugene and crater lake. Loved the wood burning stove, the chairs by the river to sip coffee in the morning, and the kitchen very well stocked with equipment. Would love to stay again!!!

  • Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Suzie was a great host. Loved the easy access to the creek!

    Paul2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here with our three little boys and my husbands 26 year old sister. We had a great time! We went to see Crater Lake but unfortunately Crater Lake was covered by fog and all the trails were covered in multiple feet of snow. We had a good time still at the cabin in the woods though!

    Ashley2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Suzie's home is everything you could ask for in a secluded getaway. The quiet setting makes for a perfect place to clear your head and enjoy your surroundings. Crescent Creek runs right along the property and the dock on its banks is perfect for morning coffee. The home comes stocked with all your basic necessities and is ready to go as soon as you unlock the door. Everyone in our group including our pup had a great time and we'd definitely contact Suzie again if we are in the area.

  • It is a great location to get away from city life with easy access to hiking, paddling and boating. Make sure to come with all the food you need because grocery shopping in the area is sparse. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable. The tranquility of being by the water each night was a great end to a day, especially after a long hike in the wilderness or a tiring paddle. We will be back.

  • Our stay was just what we needed. Quiet, rustic. There aren't many services nearby so come prepared, but both wifi and tv are available. Would stay here again.

  • Donna's place was a great place to stay on the way to Bend from southern Oregon. Nestled away in the piney woods, it's a secluded spot that felt very peaceful. It was clean and cozy, and Donna was very kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it to those traveling through the area or looking to get some true peace and quiet!

    Andrew2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's place was a clean and comfortable place to stay after our visit to Crater Lake. The unit fit three people comfortably. Satellite TV was a nice amenity. The host was super responsive. Thanks!

    Niki2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was a very warm host and her dog Athena was incredibly sweet and friendly. The location is remote from any towns or stores, however it was a perfect pit stop for me, my partner and our dog on our road trip. The space is stocked with its own fridge, TV, bath/toilet and dishes which made the stay feel like an nice hotel room. Donna's home is surrounded by a lot of trees and is close to a lot of trails and lakes. If you plan on being outside in the evening here, bring bug spray!

    Rachel2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Donnas place after a day at Crater Lake. She was a gracious host and the place was clean and comfortable. She also let us use her grill to make dinner and made sure we had what we needed. Communication with her was easy as well. Recommend for anyone looking to stay near crescent lake!

  • Mike had excellent communication and was very responsive. He gave some very valuable resources too. This was super helpful not being from the area.

    Michael2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were a group of 5 friends staying in Mike's cabin for 3 nights. The cabin was close to Salt Creek Falls and Crescent Lake, but a bit of a drive from Crater Lake. Since the only entrance open at Crater lake was West Rim, it was about a 2 hour drive from the cabin. But during the summer it should only be about an hour from the closer entrance. The Cabin had a cozy firepit outside, and since it's so secluded, it's great for star gazing at night. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it! Thanks again Mike!

    Tanya2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was an excellent host. He provided all of the necessary information my family and I needed to make the most of our stay. Note that there is no wifi, and no cell service for AT&T or T-Mobile. Only Verizon had cell service in the cabin, and the signal booster in the living room helped bring Verizon to 3-4 bars of service. The house was clean, the hot tub was hot, and Mike provided everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommended.

  • Mike was a great host and his place was ideal. He was very responsive to any questions and needs that were raised. Great overall stay and location within driving distance of Crater Lake and Bend. Would definitely rent again!

Great cabin for family getaways! With many nearby Recreations. Crater Lake, Waldo Lake, Salt Creek Falls, Willamette Pass, Odell Lake, and Diamond Peak are all nearby! Very nice view in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Room for up to 8 Guests!
The cabin sits off Highway 58 about one mile, and is easily accessible. Plenty of parking and space for 6 vehicles and guests. Cabin has all top of the line kitchen appliances (dishwasher, gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave). Also brand new washer and dryer, perfect for long stays! Master bedroom has queen size bed, 32 inch flat screen tv, and amazing master bathroom with heated tile floors. Upstairs is complete with two bedrooms (with bunk beds totaling 4 beds), a full bathroom, and a living room area with TV and dvd selection. This cabin really is amazing and is in brand new condition. There is a water drip system that is set for the birch trees in the front of the cabin, we ask that our guests do not unhook the black hose for personal use. Due to the fire restrictions we do not allow outside fires, including the use of charcoal or propane grills.
Due to the fire restriction we do not allow any outside fires. This includes charcoal and propane grills. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Beautiful view of the Oregon Forest!
  • The cabin is beautiful and in a gorgeous location! Spectacular views! Everything is modern and new, yet we still felt the comfy, woodsy, cabin feel. Willamette Pass is literally 10 minutes away and Crescent Lake (groceries, gas, dining, drinks) is close by as well. We were allowed to bring our dog with deposit. Host is very quick with responses...thank you Daniel - very much appreciated. We got in late and coming to the cabin with lights & heat already on for us after driving thru snow was great! We had six in our group but could have had a few more (3 bedrooms-2 sets of double/twin bunk beds, big couches, & queen bed in the master). Compared to the cost of getting multiple hotel rooms, this cabin beat that hands down! We'll definitely come back next year for some more snowboarding.

    Christa2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is fantastic, and the setting is beautiful. Dan was a very helpful host, and made sure everything was ready for our arrival. I would love to stay here again.

  • The cabin was beautiful and had lots of room for our family of 5. Close to Crescent lake and an hour drive to Crater Lake. Just an FYI we have Verizon and were unable to get service but the cabin does have Wi-Fi and a great selection on movies.

    Angie 2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cabin! We had a wonderful weekend of playing in the snow and relaxing. Very roomy, great kitchen, wraparound deck, and outstanding view! Host was very attentive and prompt. Would recommend highly and thinking of going back in the summer!

  • The cabin was fantastic! It's clean, and totally furnished - we loved it! The location was perfect between Crescent Lake, Crater Lake, and Bend. I would totally book the property again.

  • This cabin looks just like the main picture! We had a great time and I would recommend this place thoroughly. Only advice I would give to renters would be to realize that this cabin is in the pass. You need a car that can drive in the snow, while the roads were plowed be sure to have chains or 4 wheel drive.

    Kassena2016-01-19T00:00:00Z

There is many beautiful trails for hiking, biking, motorcycling and off-road toys just outside the door and down the paved road. We're located across Hwy 58 from Crescent Lake and about 2 miles to the nearest gas/grocery store and restaurants.
  • We had a great time! The host was nice to deal with. Thanked me for a few simple suggestions and was very timely with responses. The house was very clean and spacious. The ping pong was a nice touch along with the separate space below so the kids could be loud. Great views. Nice house and very comfortable. Close to the lake which was crystal clear and beautiful. I reverend this to anyone. Take your bikes.

  • We had a great time and wonderful experience staying at Diamond Peak cabin. We went for Thanksgiving and our girls were looking forward to some snow. They got their wish and had a great time sledding. The area looked magical with the fresh blanket of snow and we felt very cozy in the cabin. Though we did not meet our hosts they replied to our questions quickly. Our only issues was lack of cell phone coverage (we have t-mobile) which made it a little challenging communicating with friends that were meeting as there (seriously what did we do before cell phones?)

    Veatriki2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Kim was very prompt in all communications. The house is very clean, well-appointed and comfortable.

    Carol2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The picture do not do this place justice - it is gorgeous and spacious. PERFECT for a family get away. The master bedroom and two upstairs bedrooms are great for spreading everyone out at night. The loft area is a great sleeping/play area for kids -- and the basement with the games was excellent for night time activities. I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay here! Plus, it is very easy to get to Odell Lake (Max. 5 minutes) for awesome fishing.

    Angela2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and very accommodating for a large family. Beautiful scenery around the home. Very clean and nice furniture and bedding. Kim (the host) was very helpful. Would stay there again.

Our custom-built Lincoln Log cabin sits at 5,200 feet elevation on 1 acre in Diamond Peaks, with an outdoor picnic table & fire pit. Decorated with Native American & cabin artwork, it has a luxurious lodge feeling throughout, with pine paneled walls for extra coziness. Great for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (dogs). The local area is an outdoor person's paradise - 15 minutes drive to Willamette Pass for skiing/snowboarding, and 10 minutes to Crescent Lake in summer
You’ll love the high-end feel of this cabin - we have created a luxurious home away from home! The gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances & granite countertops; two fireplaces (wood & gas) so you are warm on every level; the comfy beds with new linens; the incredible selection of games for entertainment (no cabin fever here!); the calming and peaceful ambience with Tibetan prayer flags blowing outdoors in the breeze; an outdoor BBQ for summertime grilling; deck seating & sun umbrella for shade, and last but not least...the tranquil 1 acre property with picnic table, reading benches, and an outdoor fire pit from which you can enjoy spectacular starry nights. Crater Lake National Park (north entrance) is an hour away by car, and makes for an inspiring day trip!
The local town of Crescent Lake has a pub (Manlys) and a cafe for local food if you don't want to cook! In summer, the Crescent Lake Lodge (on Crescent Lake) is a 10 minute drive-away, offers good pub food in a lovely lake setting. The restaurant is NOT open during the winter and so guests should plan to bring their own food/drink from home, and cook at the cabin. There is a general store in Crescent Lake that carries a large selection of basics, catering to locals and campers and RV'ers.
  • Great location above the beautiful Crescent Lake and an acceptable distance to Crater Lake. The home was a beautiful cabin and well appointed, which comfortably slept our party of seven adults. We especially enjoyed the view, downstairs game room (lots to do!), basketball court, and large fire pit area with ample seating! Isla was a joy to work with and her attention to detail (both in the amenities of the home and in her communication) helped make our trip very memorable!

    Jeffery2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home with all the amenities. Isla is great at communicating. Highly recommend it if the location suits your plans.

    Damon2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This luxury log cabin was a delight! We loved its gorgeous back deck, stunning view of the mountains, a family room to kick back and relax in, and a downstairs arcade that had our children and our "inner children" jumping for joy! We enjoyed an easy day trip to Crater Lake, but everyone looked forward to getting back to Isla's place to continue our good time. We highly recommend!

    Alison2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Isla is a fantastic communicator and responded to all my questions in a very timely fashion. The home is beautiful and we all wished we could've stayed longer! The porch was definitely a family favorite. We could've sat out there, looking at the trees and listening to the breeze for hours! So peaceful...

    Jennifer2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what an amazing weekend at the luxury cabin! Every detail of it is explorable and together gives you a homey feel. The cabin is new and self-contained. The sight at the back deck of the stars and the milky way is breathe taking! This is definitely my best Airbnb experience ever. We are surprised that the owners are willing to share such a nice place with everyone.

    Yanjun2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful luxury cabin that I would return to in a heartbeat! We had a fun girls weekend there and loved the beauty and "comfiness" of the cabin inside and out. We explored the surrounding area by day and cooked in the beautiful kitchen and played games at night. The outdoor fire pit is AMAZING!! So fun!! Thanks, Isla and Jamie!!

    Jill2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is absolutely gorgeous and made for a better stay than we even imagined. The game room is perfect for school age and older kids and the entire property is well maintained. The cabin was fully outfitted to meet all of our needs. Communication was also outstanding, making for an easy check-in and check-out process.

    Deanna2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at this stunning house which fully deserves the tag of "luxury". It is extremely well equipped to a very high standard. The decor is also interesting and thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the games room was amazing too! The showers were the best of our 2 week road trip! The cabin is wonderfully remote, so make sure you arrive with provisions. Isla is a thoughtful hostess who communicates frequently and well. Thank you for a great stay.

Views to soothe your soul! We offer a perfect location - minutes from the North Umpqua River, waterfalls and hot springs close by, 2 hours west to the coast, and 1.5 hours east to the Cascade Range and Crater Lake. AND your hosts include a wonderful pack of friendly, furry sled dogs! Your beautiful suite includes a spacious room with such great views you might never venture out - but enjoy the gourmet kitchen, dining room, and large deck made for soaking up the view.
There's not much that ISN'T special here. The incredible view, large deck, gourmet kitchen, well-appointed room, your own custom bath, the wonderful sled dogs, privacy...close proximity to the North Umpqua River, on the way up the mountain to waterfalls, hot springs and the Cascades - while only a half-hour from Roseburg. It's a gorgeous home, but it IS a home, and I share the house itself w a handful of my wonderful pups. A beautiful home where you don't have to worry about taking your shoes off - what could be more inviting? Your suite is accessed through the main house; it includes a large bedroom/living room; large walk-in closet, and your own bath - complete with a custom shower. From your windows you can enjoy the great view , the yard AND the dogs - the yard is their playground and home for the outside kids. The rest of the house is considered 'common space' - make yourself at home. Enjoy the huge deck with it's great views, cook up a feast (or use the microwave ).
Privacy! We're 2 miles off the highway...way up at the top of the hill! Located on 5 acres, with all the residences on 5 acre lots; you'll barely see another soul. And you sure won't from the view off the deck. Great roads for a walk, huge trees everywhere! Glide has a small Dollar General and a local store/gas station-but its a good idea to get groceries & gas from Roseburg. Two local burger joints and a small pizza joint are right in town; with IdleYld Restaurant 5 miles up the mountain.
  • Shae is such a lovely and welcoming host. We loved being greeted by 2 of her dogs in the driveway! On arrival, we were shown around the house, which was very spacious and comfortable. The views from the deck are beautiful, and I was able to enjoy with my morning coffee. Definitely wish we had more than 1 night at Shae's.

    Maddison2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Shane is super sweet. Her pack is amazing. Must love dogs. Amazing place, secluded suite with attached bathroom, Very nice shower. Will come back

    Tyler2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Shae's home was exactly as described, if not better. The pictures on her page don't do the views that her place offers justice. Her pack of 13 sled dogs are incredibly well behaved and SO loving. You can tell Shae puts a great deal of effort to keep the house clean and tidy, especially with a pack of dogs to look after. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and the bathroom was lush. If anyone is en route to Crater Lake, as we were on our road trip, it is an incredibly scenic drive with great photo opportunities along the North Umpqua River. All around a great stay! We would happily recommend to anyone and would stay again.

    Kaitie2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Shae was so great in our stay at her place. Her puppers are great. Just be sure you want to be around a dozen dogs ready to play. The view is amazing and the room is very nice, especially the shower. Shae was a great help in our journey to the northwest. We were staying with her to go to Crater Lake but the roads to give us access were closed due to wild fires. She notified us a few days in advance and helped to guide us to another area we could hike and enjoy Oregon's beauty.

    Don2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed just one night but we wish we could have stayed longer. 'Mountain Retreat' is such an accurate description for Shae's home. It is up a long winding road in a small Oregon town. It is 30 minutes away from the action on I-5 so you definitely feel secluded. Shae was a delightful host and very friendly. Her huskies are so cool, all like...12 of them! Very pretty and very well behaved. She told us the water (drawn from a well) was good. I thought that was small talk but when I drank the (URL HIDDEN) IS REALLY YUMMY WATER. Ha! It makes city water taste like trash! It makes filtered water taste sour! The master suite is HUGE - I'm guessing 500 SQ? The walk in shower & remodeled bathroom is gorgeous. The shower had ample hot water and great water pressure. There were towels provided. The walk in closet was pretty much the size of my entire kitchen in San Francisco. We didn't get the views because of the weather but I did see her huskies playing in the side yard. That was really cool to wake up to. You do not get cell phone reception what-so-ever up in the mountains but Shae has very reliable Wi-Fi. Just not sure how emergency calls work. Shae provided a space heater but I thought the room was wonderfully cozy as is! It's all relative, you know? Shae gave us very helpful advice on how to navigate down the snowy, winding mountain road. As city dwellers - I can certainly said it was a fun and exciting experience. I would definitely stay here again, the experience beats your typical roadside motel hands down.

    Lily2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Shae's place on our way from Crater Lake down the West Coast. The place was perfect for our short stay, although we wish we could've stayed longer. We felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived and Shae was very accommodating with our late check in. The room was extremely comfortable with an amazing shower in the ensuite bathroom. We had a great time meeting all of Shae's dogs.

    Harry2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was so wonderful! Shae was very easy to communicate with, from giving us great directions to fun, local things to do in the area. We went to the hot springs, Crater Lake, and the coast, which were so easy to get to from Shae's place. We brought along our rambunctious puppy who got along very well with all the dogs. As a pet owner, you definitely appreciate a pet-friendly vacation :-) Thanks again, Shae!

  • What a beautiful property on the river! Enjoyed our short stay on our way to Carter Lake! Owners were very hospitable! Would stay here again if we ever are passing by again! Thank you!

  • Sandy helped us to find there and we misunderstood the wifi password, she send it again to us, thank you, that place is chill, Sandy said don't need AC, that's indeed, even it's summer time, not hot inside, nice. She gave us water to drink cos she said the water from faucet is from the river near by, not for drinking:) Cos our phone was not work well, we can not contact her in time, but Sandy still put us on her mind, that's so kind, we found a Shanghai couple stayed there before us at there, from the notebook in the room:) Thank you Sandy.

  • This is an amazing place! If you're looking for a serene, upscale, riverside experience, in an estate like setting, look no further. Perfect location for gaining access to all the nearby waterfalls & hot spring. Sandy was a generous and attentive host. Providing wonderful experiences such as - riverside fire in her fire pit, and local wine and complimentary snacks.

    John2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was an excellent place to stay - it wasn't difficult to find, Sandy was very welcoming, and the check-in went smoothly. The property is amazing - a beautiful home right by a beautiful Oregon river. Our room was cozy and comfortable - it had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. We walked down by the river on a neat little 'gnome' trail on the property, sat by the river by a fire that Sandy and her husband were kind enough to start for us, and enjoyed a relaxing night. A really great experience all-around.

  • This has become my absolute favorite Airbnb Location. The house is simply stunning. It welcomes you with a beautiful sunrise and puts you to sleep with the soft soothing river close by. This is a great place if you enjoy the green outdoors. My only regret was that we had to rush our stay; we contemplated staying an extra day! Sandy is a great host! She knew we had a long drive and sent us a messaging letting us know we could sleep in the next morning. She truly wants you to enjoy your stay and get the most out of your stay. Enjoy the quality stay with Sandy! If time permits be sure to visit Crater Lake which is a short road trip away (1.5 hours). Also, go Ducks.

  • The River Lodge is a delightful place to unwind and relax to the sounds of birds and water rushing by. The room was beautifully appointed and the grounds filled with trees and beds of a variety of plants. Sandy met us and gave us a great introduction. Even before we arrived, she advised us to pick up food before we came because the property is in the country. A great experience.

    Elin2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • I was so thankful Sandy accepted my reservation on such short notice. My sister and I had a long traveling day. Sandy was very responsive to text messaging. I was a bit surprised that it was not in the town of Roseburg but a few miles away. However drive to Glide was not strenuous, the roadway was extremely well maintained, it took us off the main beaten and allowed our conversation to focus on the new area and its beautify; just what the doctor ordered. It was getting duskiest as my sister and I pulled into the driveway. We were a bit nervous then we saw the string of lights guiding our way to the door. All stress began to melt away. As we looked onto the property and took in the surrounding beauty we felt safe. As soon as we were settled in our comfortable room, we went outside and walked the park like yard, stood by the river and watched the last rays of light disappear. All my anxiety about the past few days eased. As I turned to head back to the house I realized I did not have a flashlight, nor did my sister. No worries Sandy has the grounds full of solar lights that guide you back to your room. Well done Sandy, well done. I will definitely stay here again, next time for more than one night!

  • We had such a wonderful stay at Tracy's place. The proximity to so many destinations was lovely and the home set up/comfort was ideal.

  • Wow! What a great cabin, and a great experience! This was our first time staying in an AirBnB, and can only say positive things about it! We had a beautiful trip to Crater lake and the forests of the west side; we soaked in the warmth of the woodstove; and enjoyed comfortable slow mornings of cabin life. Great hosts providing excellent and timely information, thank you Tracy!

    Kimberley2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy's cabin was just lovely: spacious, comfortable, clean, and secluded. It also is absolutely adorable inside and out with comfortable beds and a fun little loft area. Everything we needed was provided, including access to a full kitchen and laundry machines. Just a reasonable drive's distance from Crate Lake National Park and lots of other hiking options, it was a great, quiet place to relax and recuperate after a long days worth of exploring the outdoors. Tracy was an excellent communicator; she was extremely helpful and understanding when we needed any assistance or had any questions. I would definitely recommend a stay in this cozy cabin to anyone wanting to explore Oregon!

    Anna2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had the privilege of being the first guests at the cabin! We had a few troubles booking the dates we wanted but Tracy had everything sorted within a few hours and was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We found the cabin easily using the directions and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Isolated and peaceful but within driving distance of some of the most stunning scenery on the west coast. Crater lake is a small drive away, not to mention the many other lakes and trails. We had a lovely hike with stunning scenery at Salt Creek Falls. The cabin itself is very well kitted out with everything you need and clear instructions on using the cabin. The bedrooms are an excellent size, beds super comfy and there was plenty of spare bedding. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, my fiancé playing accordion, whilst enjoying drinks. Good grocery stores are about an hours drive so definitely a good idea to stock up, but the drive is so beautiful it didn't really matter. Can't say enough good about this place and the owners. Thanks guys!

Newer home in a sub-division with very few homes nearby. Lot's of privacy. Behind the home is a secluded wood area, it's like having your own wilderness in your backyard. Walk a few hundred feet out and you'll be facing Salmon Creek. A trail wraps around the river allowing for an easy bike ride, or nice jog.
At the end of the subdivision is a Frisbee golf 3 hole course and picturesque creek and pond. Great for a picnic lunch. The home itself allows for up to 8 guests. Pets are allowed. The backyard is fenced in so your dog won't wander off! Full kitchen equipped for all your cooking needs. Bumper pool/poker table inside. Backyard has a bbq, fire pit, and table area. Very comfortable hang out! Greenwaters park is a short walk away. Close to the Historic uptown area. Tons of outdoor activities throughout Oakridge and surrounding areas.
  • Very quiet Oakridge neighborhood with undeveloped lots on both sides and across the street. Just across the highway from a park on the river and another river behind the neighborhood. Super quiet except for the regular trains that roll through town at night. That is the only thing that can be considered a negative The town is very small with limited dining and shopping options but there are good places to get all meals, a great pub and surprisingly a great Chinese place right on the main highway through town. We will definitely try to book this house again when we come to ride and fish in/around Oakridge. .

  • Natasha's place is a great place to stay. There are walking trails near the house by the creek. The house is very well stocked, it was amazing. We were very comfortable there.

    Janet2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were 2 couples with 2 kids enjoyed staying at Natasha's rental vacation for 2 nights. Its a relatively newer home with a beautiful mountain view in the front and hear river stream from the back yard/porch. we took walks along the river side in the evening, enjoyed grilling in backyard, sat all night long chat having fun. I would say Natasha is a great host. whatever basic things u need is available in the house. She has put great amount of thought and detail to make sure guest have a great time at her place. We made happy memories staying at her place. :)

  • The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. All the essentials (dish washer, washer machines, blankets, towels) are all there and easily accessible. My family of 5 stayed over the weekend where we relaxed, cooked food, and played board games. The local area is serene and very private. The sound of the creek in back was very pleasant. Natasha gave clear instructions that made check out super easy. I would absolutely stay there again!

    Michael 2017-08-21T00:00:00Z

A fun, modern 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the heart of uptown Oakridge. Close to shops, restaurants, and the local brew pub; huge backyard for grillin' and chillin'; a 5-minute ride to mountain bike shuttle companies. Welcome to your Oakridge adventure!
Whether you’re in Oakridge for the killer mountain biking, the great fishing, the gorgeous hikes, the friendly people or all of the above, Jasper Lodge is the perfect place to call home at the end of a long day of play. This completely remodeled home has 3 stylishly furnished bedrooms with some of the most comfortable beds in the world (the master bedroom has a Tempurpedic mattress!), and 2 modern bathrooms. Spread out your map to plan your day’s adventure in the plush living room, cook up a storm in the well-stocked kitchen, or fill up your growler at the Brewers Union Local 180 (4 blocks away) and grill out on the patio. We have a secure garage with plenty of space for your fishing, boating, ORV and cycling gear, along with some basic bike tools for guest use. (Plus, the Willamette Mountain Mercantile is just a 5-minute bike ride away if you need repairs, gear, or a sweet mountain bike rental.) We also have a bike-washing station and laundry for you to use after those epic muddy rides. We love to cook, so you’ll find high-quality versions of everything you need: pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets, hand mixer, plates, bowls, glassware and more. We also have growlers available for you to use. You’ll find all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including: - wifi - washer & dryer - kitchen stocked w/ new appliances - fire pit & charcoal grill - shampoo/conditioner/soap - hair dryer - towels & bedding - local trail maps and guides - AC unit in living room and master bedroom - fans for all bedrooms
You’re totally going to love Oakridge. It’s an old logging town that’s been revitalized over the past few years by outdoor tourism, and as a result you’ll find a pleasant blend of small-town charm and city-style amenities. For example, Ray’s Food Place (2-minute drive) has both the classic sidewalk summer grill tent, and also kombucha on tap. Our home’s location is phenomenal. It's less than a 10-minute bike ride to both the mountain bike shuttle companies, and an easy ride back from the terminus of most of the popular local trails. The bike shop (Willamette Mountain Mercantile), groceries (Ray’s) and super-delicious dinner and beer (Brewers Union Local 180) are all close by, and the restaurants and shops of downtown Oakridge are a 5-minute drive away. We’re in a quiet neighborhood with lovely neighbors, so you can expect friendly waves and kids biking down the street. One note: Oakridge is on a train route, so you’ll hear a few trains go by throughout the day and night. We’ve found that if we keep a fan running in the master bedroom it doesn’t bother us personally, and in the two other bedrooms guests don’t seem to notice the trains at all. We do have a stash of earplugs available, though!
  • Loved this place. It was perfect for what we needed. Super close to the Brewer's Union Pub and a great jumping off point/home base for all the activities in the area. Had a great time would definitely choose this place again.

  • Jessie and Robert provided a clean, cozy, and welcoming home for the weekend. As soon as we entered the house, we noticed that there was a guidebook with everything we needed to know about the house and the surrounding area. If we ever had a problem, we consulted the book and it worked out. We called Jessie once to help with a problem and she was on top of it and so helpful. The rooms each had a theme and it was beautifully furnished. Could not recommend more. Thank you Jessie and Robert for everything!

    Danny2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in oakridge and Jessie's house. It was large and the space was divided well. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and the beds were comfortable. The backyard was huge and great for relaxing after riding trails all day. The train tracks are right behind the house and woke me up at night, but that's the case in the whole town. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a house in oakridge!

    Phil2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Jessie's home. It was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Jessie was very accommodating and flexible during my stay, she was wonderful. The only real issue I had with my stay was the check-out procedures. I believe I was charged a $100 cleaning fee for my stay but the check-out list provided by Jessie required quite a bit of work on my part. I had to clean all the dishes, take out all the trash and strip all the beds. If there was no cleaning fee I would not think twice about doing the tasks requested on Jessie's check-out instructions. Anyway, beautiful home in a scenic location and a very helpful host!

    Gabe2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a wonderful, centrally-located hub for biking in the Oakridge area. The hosts have decorated the house with cool themed rooms and have the local trail maps on the wall. Just about everything a small group or families need to have a comfortable base. The house is outfitted well with comfortable linens and towels, and has secure storage for bikes after you wash them off outside with the hose. The bike stand is a nice touch for lubrication and bike tweaking, and the bike shop is only a couple blocks away for major repairs, and to get great information and recommendations on riding. The only thing missing at the house is a little stereo, so if you want to listen to music make sure you pack a portable speaker. No TV, but you're there to ride anyway! The yard is huge, and there's a nice concrete patio, but it was too cold and wet when we were there to sit outside. The checkout guidelines are all common-sense, and did not seem onerous to us.

    Peter2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • To anyone interested in renting the Jasper Lodge, I would highly recommended it. Great location, clean, comfortable and as advertised

  • A nice place in Oakridge with easy access to downtown. The place is completely outfitted for your needs. No disappointments

    Jerry2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, spacious and well equipped with a perfect location - can't find anything to fault! Jessie was great at getting in touch and making sure we were ready to go upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of equipment and supplies, the garage was secure and the laundry room was quite simply the best thing since sliced bread (or shuttles) on a mountain bike trip. Oh, and the beds were comfortable and the location meant a pint was only a five minute walk away. We'll be back.

Our cozy two-bedroom, two-bath house is 950 square feet with a wrap-around deck with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains, outdoor seating and a propane grill for BBQ. We are just a quick walk or bike ride to "uptown" Oakridge where you will find an English-style brew pub, a distillery, massage therapists, the Post Office, City Hall, and other businesses.
Our home is slightly below street level with steps down to the front door, the living areas are all on this level. The garage/basement is on the lower level and has a washer and dryer and plenty of space to store bicycles. The entrance to the lower level is down the steps on the east side of the house.
We are in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking or biking distance to nearby trails
  • This is a great rental for anyone looking to stay in the Oak Ridge area. The house is really set up to be a home away from home and 2 bath/2 bedrooms was really nice for 3 of us. Each room has it's own heater and this was really appreciated as we came here after a snowy hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - yes, snow in Summ(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN))! Communication with Kelly was excellent and we really liked having the washer/dryer to use for our wet clothes. The local brewery (Brewers Union local 180) was a great to get a bite to eat, grab a beer and play a game:) Really cannot recommend this place enough if you are in the area.

    Shawna2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. I liked how each couple had their own bathroom. It was very spacious for 4 people. It was simple to check in and nice how the house was right in town, only a few blocks from the local pub. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

  • Linda was a great host and accommodated us even on very short notice, with excellent communication. Oakridge is a great town to explore, and a great jumping off point for the surrounding outdoor activities. The view from the house was great, and all of its rooms were very comfortable. We would absolutely stay at Linda's house again.

  • This is a great place for staying in Oakridge, either to experience the nearby hiking and mountain biking or en route to Crater Lake from the valley or vice versa. The accommodations are clean with appropriate conveniences, including a nice tv, a boombox with cd's, board games, and good kitchen gear. Be aware that a train runs nearby. If you are a light sleeper, it might wake you up. If you are a train buff, you will enjoy watching the cars go by, including a couple of Amtraks a day.

    Paul2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable. Hosts have provided everything you could need. Nice layout. Lovely large deck. Cozy beds. We will stay here again.

    Sarah2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This a gem of a house in Oakridge. As a mtn biker I appreciated the smaller touches like a safe place to store my bikes (in the basement), hose to rinse off the mud, and awesome views and location. It is walking distance to the old downtown and a short drive to the restaurants on hwy 58. The beds are nice and comfortable with each own bathrooms. The kitchen is small but more than plenty to get the day started. It even had organic sugar. The real plus was the spacious deck with the views of the mountains to the south. Felt like we were in the Swiss Alps. If there is one tip or awareness is that the train runs just south of the house and needs to blow its horn at the crossings. Might need earplugs. Didn't bother me though. Enjoy your stay!

Newly remodeled 3 bed, 1 bath home in the Willamette National Forest. Mt. Bike, fish, boat, hike, snowmobile, ski, swim, visit hot springs and covered bridges and enjoy all the activities surrounding Oakridge. Super cute comfortable home.
Our comfortable simple home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. We provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Completely remodeled with new kitchen, modern furnishings and even an outdoor propane fire pit and seating area to enjoy at night. We provide wireless internet access and Chromecast so you can stream content on our flat screen TVs. We have another rental property on the "other" vacation rental site and consistently get good reviews due to attention to detail. Our homes are nicely decorated and provide a wide array of kitchen and household goods so that your stay is enjoyable not frustrating. (Haven't you ever thought; "What! No foil or baggies!!?"-Grrr) In May, we will be adding a portable AC unit for the main living area. This should keep you comfortable even on hot days.
Oakridge doesn't have many vacation rental homes, but the area is chock-full of outdoor activities. We are Oregonians and have fallen in love with the beauty of the Willamette Forest. There are several rivers, creeks, covered bridges and waterfalls within a few miles! 10 minutes to natural hot springs, 30 minutes to popular Crescent Lake, 1/2 mile to fishing in Salmon Creek, or playing at the Salmon Creek park with the little ones, or a little further to North Fork of Willamette River. Miles and miles of Mt. Biking trails for all experience levels starting right in town. Hiking, golfing, swimming, all within a few miles. You can ski/board or snowmobile up near Willamette Pass, 20 miles away. The 2nd tallest waterfall in Oregon is only 23 miles up Hwy 58. As you can see, there is a lot to see and do in this little known area--come explore! You can also do day trips to Bend, LaPine, Crater Lake, and so many more beautiful Oregon areas. Please note, Oakridge is on a train path and you can expect to hear a few trains every day. While this doesn't bother most, we wanted to call it out. In the summer if you have the windows open at night, you'll hear it. We keep the fans running and for us personally it doesn't inhibit sleep--we actually have grown quite fond of it.
  • We had some trouble find the place. Neighbors were extremely helpful in helping us. Monica sent the instructions by mail the same morning of our arrival., and as we were on the road and not all the time having available internet we couldn't open the file on time. House is very sweat . Clean and well equipped. Only worry is that it was very hot, no aircondition, one fan was not enough .

    Yael2014-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with the host was great. We drove in from Crater Lake late at night. The drive west on 58 was very dark and the area felt very remote. The house is on a dead end street and it was quite dark at night. Slightly unnerving, however, the instructions were very helpful! The house was super clean and bigger than what we needed. Very comfy. Looking at stars and the milky way at night was awesome. Very quiet. We loved hearing the passing trains. The place had everything one would need. The bakery place and the union pub are walking distance. Good breakfast at the bakery and the pub had a good and friendly crowds. Very surprising for a small place like Oakridge to find so many people hanging out. Didn't do any mountain biking (seems that's what everyone is into there) but Salt Creek Falls was great and fly fishing on the Willamette river was good.

  • Nice, clean place and a great base for mountain biking in Oakridge! We were two couples with 3 infants/toddlers and the house was very practical for our group. Highly recommend. Plus mountain biking is fabulous!

  • Great location, was able to bike to trails from the house. Great place and would definitely stay again. Only down side would be the train horns but if you stayed anywhere in Oakridge you would still have the same problem. Other than the train horns it was peaceful and quite.

  • What a great place, was just like being at home. Very clean and comfortable. A perfect home base for all the many Oakridge adventures. (5 days of mountain biking) Host was genuinely concerned that we were comfortable and happy with our accommodations, which we were. Trip was as smooth as butter, just like the trails!

    Gordon2015-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at Monica's place. It was warm, cozy and well equipped. Definitely would come back. During the night, you can see an amazingly beautiful sky, light up by the stars.

Located in Uptown Oakridge, this charming old mill home is your base for exploring Oakridge; quick access to the Pub, world class trails and the Willamette River. Two bedrooms with queen beds, a sofa bed in the shared space and one full bath can accommodate 5-6 people. Relax in the backyard under mature oak trees or BBQ on the deck with a propane grill. The small garage is perfect for bike and gear storage. Wifi available; bring your own devices. Pets allowed with prior consent from the owner.
  • This place is a great getaway for lots of different activities. We stayed for a weekend in july and went swimming at several different calm lake and river spots with our 1yr old daughter and 15yr old dog. Our friend and her dog also came along for the trip. But there's also a ton of incredibly scenic hiking, mountain biking, kayaking/canoeing to be done as well. There's a deep garage under the house that we found incredibly useful for storing dirty day use gear like rafts and a kayak. The little house is very comfortably stocked with linens and your basic (plus a little more) kitchen needs. The remodel and decor make it feel inviting and clean. It was very cute. There's tons of sleeping space. And we felt very comfortable letting our one year old daughter run around and play in any part of the house. Between 3 adults, 2 dogs, and one baby we felt like there was plenty of space for all of us. We had our own room and our friend had her own room. Had more people been with us there was a Murphy bed in the back of the house and a small but comfy sofa in the living room. The house is in a great spot. When you walk out you see beautiful tree covered mountains. Then a very short walk away is a bistro that has coffe and breakfast in the morning and wood fired pizza at night. If you take a slightly longer walk you'll find other eating or drinking spots (I think the local brewers union was nearby) The hosts were super nice with their initial communication. We didn't have any reason to communicate during the stay because everything was great.

  • This cottage is a great spot for the Spartan MTB crew to stage all your area rides and post ride activities. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. There is a nice deck to relax on and ample garage space to secure your bikes. Our kitchen was found to be lacking some basic cooking utensils so bring your own spices, oils, baking sheet if you want to bake something, etc. The area noise at night was louder than we expected due to trains passing through at all hours of the day and random barking dogs at night. If you're a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. Everyone we met in Oakridge was super pumped we were there to shuttle their trails and vacation in there town. We will be back for another round soon.

  • Great place for a few days in Oakridge! Very clean. Nothing weird about the place. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Lots of towels. Kids loved the hammock and play area in back. We liked the neighborhood. Very easy check out procedures compared to other airbnbs, so we really appreciated that leaving at 6:30am!! We will likely be back.

  • We came to ride Mtn Bike in Oakridge and this place was perfect for that, there is a garage for the bikes, a rear deck with BBQ and all the conveniences possible. Everything is very clean. Quiet neighborhood and walkable distance to restaurants and the famous Oakridge brewery. Great place!

    Guillaume2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and great amenities! We really appreciated having a bike stand in the garage.

Come and stay at this special modern house located in Oregon’s Cascades where there is close to 100+ miles of mountain bike trails. This 3 bedroom house is not far from uptown where locals and sports enthusiast gather.
This space is perfect for a couple, family or group. The backyard is awesome too as it has plenty of room to relax and enjoy a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening. I would encourage you to have a BBQ as well!!
Quiet cul de sac which is nice to enjoy after a long ride in the forest.
  • As soon as we walked into your home we felt welcomed. I cannot tell you how relieved I was by the cleanliness of your home and how comfortable everything was. The beds receive a 9 out of 10 in comfort from my husband. The location of your home from the mountain bike race venue was awesome and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We really appreciated the message from your co-host Kelly that we could check in an hour early. Thank you so much for hosting a wonderful weekend.

  • Great place on the edge of town, yet still easy to get around by bike. Comfortable beds after a long day on the trails and a well equipped kitchen for all of your cooking needs. The garage is especially convenient for setting up for rides and working on bikes. Nice and quiet neighborhood with views of the surrounding hills. Clean and well maintained premises.

Cozy 800 square feet Cottage with RIVER VIEW! One bedroom and Bath. Nice kitchen with dishwasher & Washer & Dryer. Queen bed in Master & Queen sofa sleeper. Satellite TV & DVD player. The Cottage is a short 40 minute drive from the Eugene/Springfield area along scenic Highway 58. Located in Westfir (population 258) and 5 miles from Oakridge with full grocery store, gas stations and many restaurants. We can see the Alpine Trail from the cottage. Westfir has limited curbside recycling (bin on back porch) we encourage you to take your recyclables home if possible. Thank you :) Garbage day is Thursday. Train/road noise? The Westfir/Oakridge area is on the main line of a major railroad. The City of Westfir is within a "no whistle zone" so train noise is limited- however you will still hear the train, especially the heavy freight trains going uphill. We have noticed that Friday night seems to have the most trains. We are on the main road through town and there can be some traffic noise from time to time. There is currently quite a bit of thinning logging going on and log trucks on the road from time to time. We find the noise kind of soothing but if you don't, we have some earplugs in the bathroom cabinet just in case. Is the cottage a place for guests with young children? Due to proximity to road and river guests with young children should be advised to be extra vigilant. The house is yours to enjoy with a washing machine, fully functional kitchen, towels and linens and cozy furniture. Oakridge is a larger town a few minutes by car away, with more stores and restaurants and amenities. You will have the place to yourselves, we will be just an email or phone call away. The Neighborhood The Cottage is in Westfir a tiny logging town of almost 300 surrounded by beautiful National Forest. The office covered bridge- the longest covered bridge in Oregon- is located here. Huckleberry flats OHV area has over 30 miles of trails for both motorcycles and ATVs. You can also enjoy hiking, boating, birding, hunting, fishing and kayaking. Fly fishing is open year around with best fishing in May/June and September according to local and blog sources. Remove any trash, glass etc. to keep the area safe for swimmers and fish alike. Do not allow your children to be near the river without supervision and proper safety equipment. Please keep in mind that the river runs through residential areas and voices do carry.(from the City of Westfir newsletter)" Getting Around Diamond Express a part of Lane Transit Service has a stop less than 2 miles away. What is the capacity for people, bicycles, and wheelchairs on the vehicle? The primary Diamond Express bus is a 35 passenger vehicle with two spaces for persons who use a mobility device. This bus also includes a front mounted bicycle rack that holds three bikes. At the driver's discretion, additional bicycles can be placed on board. Sometimes the back-up vehicle must make the run. It is smaller and can only carry two bikes and fewer people. Sorry no smoking, fires, candles or (tent) camping. Check Out: Please leave used towels and sheets on the floor near the washer. • The Westfir house has a great charm to it. Comfortable, clean and good views. Quite area and close to downtown Oakridge. No disappointments.

  • We booked the Westfir River Cottage on short notice to help us bridge a gap during our house purchase. Glad we did! The cottage was a wonderful place to rest our weary heads for a week. It was perfectly-sized for the two of us and our two pets. It's a neat little house, with a somewhat funky interior layout. Everything was in good working order . Julie and family have done a nice job making it a turn-key vacation rental, while not glossing over the yesteryear charm. It's in a great location for experiencing all the Oakridge/Westfir have to offer. If you're a fisherman, hiker, or biker, this is a great spot to spend a bit of time. We fished most evenings we were here; there are several nice areas within 20 minutes of the cottage. Even though we're (relatively) local, we'd consider renting the cottage again for a brief weekend getaway.

  • Julie was a great host. Attentive but not intrusive. The cottage is a quirky gem. It has more Space than meets the eye. It was also very clean. It was a great stay. Great access to the river. We had a really nice time.

  • Julie is a fantastic host. She is super communicative and has a ton of helpful info about the Oakridge area on hand. Her cottage was a perfect home base for our mountain biking weekend and the nearby river was excellent for a quick dip to cool off after riding alpine. We will definitely be back (hopefully soon)!

    Lori2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was very accommodating and made me feel welcome at her house. It's a very quite little town but only about a 45 minute drive to Eugene. The house flows very nicely and easily accommodated my wife and me and our 3 kids and one of their friends.

Lone Wolf Cabin is situated on a gated road in a forest setting. It is the only residence on the road. It is about 2 miles from both Oakridge and Westfir which makes it convenient for mountain bike riding, hiking, golfing and dining out. There are both Forest Service Trails and game trails near the cabin. The cabin is rustic with modern conveniences.
The cabin has wood siding, blue stain pine interior except the bathroom which is cedar. The floors are oak except the bathroom which is tile. The cabin has a washer and dryer and full kitchen. There is a queen size bed upstairs and futon downstairs.
There are no other structures on the road leading to the cabin or in the vicinity of the cabin yet it is about ten minutes from both Oakridge and Westfir on forested land.
  • Amazingly comfortable cabin, it's very clean and wonderfully quiet inside . Will definitely be staying here again

  • The Lone Wolf Cabin was exactly as billed. Just right for 2 of us, plus retriever (with room for more). Everything we needed for 3 days of riding Oakridge trails (rode Alpine, Dead Mt, and Waldo Lake). Clean, new, quiet. Host was great -- met us on the way in and when we had a little confusion related to locking up on the way out, responded to texts immediately.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Lone Wolf Cabin. It felt very remote and peaceful, but was still a short drive into town where we ate lunch and got groceries. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and Bob was a great host!

Wishing for space to relax and renew? Here is your chance! Off the grid, atop a 40-acre meadow on 160 acres of private land. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County, Oregon. Welcome to Summit Prairie! Hear the wind give voice to the trees at the edge of the meadow. Listen to the birds calling in the valley below. Let the peace you feel here…. stay with you. Your hosts, Alan and Dabney, will welcome you, help carry your things up the four flights of stairs, and orient you to all the wonders of this place, then leave you in peace so you can enjoy. Built in 2009, the lookout tower is modeled after Fire Lookout Towers built by the US Forest Service in the early 1900's. However, it's enhanced with modern essentials: a full kitchen featuring hot and cold running water, propane stove, refrigerator, heater and lamps, exterior shower, comfortable beds in the cupola and main floor with windows all around to let in summer breezes and breath-taking views. And while simply chilling at Summit Prairie is oh-so-fine, think of this place also as a launch point for day trips to Crater Lake (2 hours), or Ashland, site of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (1.5 hours), or historic Jacksonville, site of the annual Brit Festival (1.5 hours), Rogue River Rafting (45 minutes), the South Umpqua Falls (45 minutes) or the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville (1 hour). Imagine! Kick back and relax, read a book, play a game (or three)… write in a journal, meditate… daydream in the hammocks down the hill… soak your cares away and relax in a secluded wood-fired, spring-fed hot tub… Even dance under the moon or sing to the stars. Memories are made here. Come to Summit Prairie...
Enjoy 160 acres of pure, private bliss. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest, you'll awaken each morning only to the sound of birds calling in the trees or bees humming about their business in the meadow. In the evening be amazed at the sunsets, and then as the dusk settles into darkness, exhaust your ability to count all the stars that light up the sky.
  • Well, there's not much to say that hasn't already been said by others. It's an amazing place owned by gracious, loving people who do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at home. If you go visit Summit Prairie and things start to get hot in the early afternoon (as it did a couple days we were there), I can't recommend the South Umpqua River enough. My wife and I packed some food, beer, and the dog and took the 45 minute drive down to the river. We found a couple of 100% secluded swimming holes where we were able to beat the afternoon heat... floating down the river and reading books in the shade. By the time we went back up to the lookout, it had cooled off a good bit and we made dinner and watched the sunset. Yes, the drive up to the lookout is a bit steep at times, and I was dumb and was running the A/C in my little Honda Civic the first time we went up. My car started to overheat and we had to stop for 15 minutes to let it cool off. I didn't run my A/C while on that gravel road again and it was fine from then on. Most of all, I'm grateful that Alan and Dabney have chosen to share this place with us. Letting others - strangers at that - in on something this special takes a truly gracious heart. Thank you guys.

  • I've been struggling just thinking about what to crunch inside this review. Our stay at Alan & Dabney's was nothing short of utterly phenomenal. It was everything that the magic of Airbnb is, a unique one-of-a-kind space coupled with unmatched hospitality from the homeowners. They offered the kind of rare genuine warmth that you seek in the best of your relationships, and my group could not have hoped for a better experience. It's hard to separate the property from the hosts, as they equally made the experience what it was. The tower itself is just as the pictures show, if not better. We were all floored from the moment we turned the corner to see it at night, and simply couldn't stop gushing about it. The views from the porch, as well as while inside the tower, are unbeatable. The valley is gorgeous, with mist sliding all around you, and the tower is equipped with anything you could think of. If you're seeking to really get out and "off the grid", look no further. Any time I'll think of a listing where I need to go and get into nature, this will be at the top of my list. You are really away from any town or people, a nice break from city life. The quiet serenity of being so far out, in a space cooler than any other, is unparalleled. Top that with the stars on a clear night, and it's a slice of heaven. It's a niche place that no other host can offer, which is why I recommend anyone to come stay if you can. This is truly a one-and-only product. While the product itself is unbeatable, the hosts are really what will make your stay special. They made sure we had everything needed, and their thorough communication was much appreciated. Alan & Dabney feel like life-long friends, and we sincerely cherish the quality time spent/conversation had. If you don't get to know them, you're simply missing out! We eagerly look forward to the next time we get to see them. Please, do yourself a favor and set an alarm for when they open their calendar up. It's worth every penny and then some.

  • Dabney and Alan are wonderful hosts. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and then got the tour of the lookout with all the special care that an off the grid place needs. The setting is peaceful, relaxing and gives one the time to reconnect within. We came loaded with birding and plant books ready for discoveries, but I think with the extremely dry weather and the time of year, there was limited sightings of both. Instead we laughed and played and got to enjoy Dabney and Alan's company. They were available if we needed anything and also gave us space to just chill. We hesitate to recommend this place only because we want it to stay avaliable for us! :) Thank you Dabney and Alan for providing such a unique experience.

  • Alan and Dabney fulfill the spirit of Airbnb: their listing is truly one of a kind and awe-inspiring, and they themselves are the warmest and most gracious hosts I've ever met. They were wonderful communicators and answered all of my questions throughout the booking process and leading up to and during the reservation. They met us upon arrival and showed us around the breathtaking lookout tower. The house itself is pristine and impeccably decorated. It's cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view from the bedroom loft is remarkable and the bed itself is so comfortable. Everything was a highlight, but if I had to only choose a few favorites I would highlight the outdoor shower, the beautifully crafted hot tub (also with a view!) and the hammocks. We were sad to leave, but felt wonderfully relaxed and rejuvenated when we did. If you have the opportunity to stay here, absolutely take it. It's a magical experience.

  • I went on this trip expecting a fun and slightly different experience given that we were staying 40 ft up in a treehouse. I was granted that exact experience. What I didn't expect was to meet two amazing people with a love and vivacious for life and to share their love of their place so fully with us. I can only say that all of it was magical and I can not wait to come back again.

  • We had a wonderful time at Summit Prairie. Everything was as described and Dabney and Alan were great hosts. They thought of every little detail and the tower was amazing. Beautiful property, phenomenal territorial views, and great space. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

  • Everything about our trip home was perfect. The pictures, though beautiful, don't even begin to give you a sense of how it feels to be in this home. The views were spectacular, the fire tower had everything we needed, and Alan and Dabney made us feel so welcome. I would visit again in a second and I'll recommend it to everyone I know.
