Places to stay in Tok
Our hostel is located right off the Alaskan Highway, the city center, close to restaurants and grocery store, a park, native culture, and outdoor adventure. You’ll love this hostel because of the guests from around the world, the spacious kitchen, and the walking paths right in front along the Alcan. This bunk is good for solo adventurers and there are 3 other bunks if you are traveling in a group.
This is a hostel-style accommodation in the common area consisting of 4 built-in bunks at the back of room. Each bunk is $21 per night and has its own privacy curtain. This is Bunk C on the bottom--no ladder. The top bunks (A & B) have 2 mattress pads rather than the one on the bottom. A full bath is located in hall with a large shower and shared with other travelers in bunks and room 3. There is a TV but we only have one local channel. The television in the common area has a lot of DVDs to watch and must be off at 11pm. There is a small desk in this room for working.
In the center of town, you will love the walking paths and good location. The courthouse is beside our place to the east. The grocery is a few blocks to west and Fast Eddy's restaurant is a couple blocks to the east. There are walking paths up and down the highway throughout town. Take a peek around. • I booked three bunks there. It was great. We liked this place. There were other nice Traveller too - not young party people like in a hostel. Location is good.

This is Alaska the way you dreamed it when you planned your vacation. It's rustic luxury at its finest; a beautiful decorated cabin, set on 40 wooded acres, yet only 3 miles from the center of town.
The cabin has 2 queen beds, a kitchenette, a cozy woodstove, deck, and oversized bathroom. We have enjoyed hosting travelers in Tok for over 8 years. Additional information and reviews are available on our website, www.cloudberrycabin.com or Tripadvisor.com. Search Cloudberry Cabin. Please visit our website: www.cloudberrycabin.com for reservations and direct booking. If this cabin is full, please check out our other cabin, Bearberry Lodge. We have been in business for over 8 years. Please check out our reviews on Trip Advisor, search Cloudberry Cabin.
We are located conveniently at the junction of the Alaska Highway and the Tok Cut-off Hwy leading to Anchorage. We are the first major stop back in the U.S. when you travel through Canada to Alaska. We are 90 miles from the Canadian border, and 3 miles from the center of Tok. Our 40 acres is beautiful and peaceful, with a huge lawn and plenty of breathing room. You'll have a cabin all to yourself. This will truly be one of your favorite places in Alaska, and we are excited to share it with you!
  • Wow! Wow! Wow! When I spotted the Cloudberry Cabin, I really wanted to stay there. Unfortunately, it was booked for the evening I needed. When our travel itinerary allowed us to travel through Tok several days later, it was available! I was not disappointed. In fact, this has been my favorite Airbnb to date. Everything was perfect! Pristine, well stocked, yummy breakfast foods, product samples plus chocolates! Talk about a top notch place! We were exhausted when we drove up. But, the deck with chairs and beautiful flowers made me smile. When I saw how nice it was inside, I couldn't believe it was ours for the evening. We even mustered enough strength to walk the trail behind the cabin. Why anyone would stay in a hotel when places like this exist is beyond me. Thank you for an amazing stay!

    Sharon2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem and you should not miss a chance to stay here. Fantastic location and the breakfast is superb.

    Bruce2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a unique cabin in the forest close to town. You will need a car. Cabin was very clean and it's location meant it was very quiet. Highly recommend it.

    Jörg2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! My husband, dog and I have been staying at many AirBnB's on our month long trip and this is by far my favorite. The cabin is adorable, the porch out front was amazing (and we saw a moose family!) and the breakfast. Oh the breakfast! Crepes with wild Alaskan Blueberries, plus bagels, english muffins, the most amazing jam, oatmeal...We could have dined for a week. I'm not ashamed to admit that we stuffed ourselves silly by the wood-buring stove. We didn't want to leave. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Thank you, Debbie!

    Leanne2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's house is what you would expect under a log house in Alaska: rustic and cozy, with a veranda and flowers in front of the house. It lies a bit remote in the middle of a clearing in the forest where you are waiting for a moose to step out between the trees in the next moment. Debbie spoiled us with many little amenities and prepared a delicious breakfast. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend a stay at Debbie's. Be aware: the kitchen is very basic (no stove, no oven, but a microwave) and the WiFi is very limited accessible (only from the veranda and very weak signal).

    Nils2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie and the Cloudberry cabin were great. Debbie makes the best crepes I have ever had. She stocked the place with a great variety of breakfast items that we enjoyed, including juice and milk. The space was large and accommodated four adults just fine. We enjoyed a walk in the woods as well as the quietness. If you havythe chance stay with Debbie.

  • Newer or remodeled house that was exceptionally clean and available on short notice. Host was flexible enough to allow certain accommodations for my situation, which I truly appreciated since this was within the same day that I inquired and booked it. Quiet place and nice updates. Even though it was just myself, I found this to be well worth the money spent and I had a pleasant experience with the host. I will inquire about again if I’m ever in the area in the future. Thank you.

Off the Alaska Highway just outside of Tok, down a dirt road and nestled in the woods, you will find the Off The Road House, a European-style wilderness B&B. The property is park-like, carved out of the boreal forest. The eclectic architecture contrasts and blends into its wilderness setting. OTRH stands out from other establishments due to the beauty of the place! We welcome you to stay with us in this "best kept secret".
We welcome you to sleep in one of our comfortable rooms when you make Tok your destination. Present capacity is six, with two rooms that can accommodate two or three, and a bed in the sunroom off the living room. The bathroom facilities are downstairs in the main house, easily accessible. We look forward to your reservation. If you wish we will be happy to assist you with your vacation and travel planning. We are longtime residents of Interior Alaska, have many connections to the land and the indigenous people, and would like for you to have unforgettable experiences in this great Northern wilderness.

Glamping Recently, a global trend has caught fire that offers outdoor enthusiasts an upgrade on rest and recreation. It's called glamping, a new word for a new kind of travel, defined as glamorous camping. When you're glamping, there's no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, no fire to build. Whether in a tent, yurt, airstream, hut, villa or treehouse, glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing luxury.

This is an absolutely idyllic spot in the foothills of the Alaska Range. Quiet and scenic, between creeks and the Tanana River, yet right on the Alaska Highway, 24 miles west of Tok (mile 1338.5). The rooms are small, but comfortable. We also have a fire place and free wood for you to use. A mini fridge on the deck will keep your food and drinks cold. The deck offers great views and relaxation and in the morning we'll serve you a delicious, hot breakfast to start you off right!

Our family-run campground and this one of a kind wood stove cabin is located right off the Alaskan Highway, close to the city center and everything in Tok. We are located beside 40 Mile Air and the bush pilots. We have a fire pit in the back for roasting marshmallows and socializing with fellow campers. Walking paths in front of the Campground go all around town. Guests in our stove cabin use the main restrooms for the campground and you have movies and drinking water.
You will be sleeping in a genuine wood stove on a futon that folds into a queen bed. There is a small TV screen for DVD movies that we provide. We also provide bedding and towels. You will be presented with a signed certificate of survival for sleeping one night in Sam McGee's Wood stove. Robert Service, the famous Yukon poet and story teller wrote the "Cremation of Sam McGee" We have recreated Sam's resting place as a large wood stove cabin--your Certificate is a pamphlet that includes the entire story of Sam McGee for your entertainment.
Beside 40 Mile Air, you will love seeing the planes (no--not a lot of air traffic) and the genuine bush pilots of rural Alaska. Fast Eddy's restaurant is located across the Highway. The grocery is a mile to the west and can be a brisk walk using the pathway that runs adjacent to the Alaskan Highway. There are walking paths up and down the highway throughout town and leading to gift shops, gold shops, and the Visitor's Center, which is a wealth of information. Take a peek around. • I booked this as a surprise for my mom on her first road trip into Alaska. She was tickled! We had a great night stay. The stove is cozy and is a Robert Service dream! All the amenities were amazing and spotless! I used to long haul drive straight to Fairbanks, now that I know Chris’s place is here I can break up my drives, because in the future, I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a memorable experience!

    Tegan2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique experience staying in Sam McGee’s Wood Stove! I grew up listening to my father recite many Robert Service works, so it was quite fun to connect to the infamous cremation! The space was very clean and organized. Excellent water temperature and pressure in the bathroom/ shower house. The communication with hosts was excellent! We knew we’d be getting in very late and they had everything ready for our arrival and left the light on for us to find the place :) Highly recommend this fun option for your stay in Tok

    Jennifer2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • A unique opportunity to stay the night in a huge wood stove. It was very affordable and a very fun experience that I would definitely do again.

    Samson2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you plan to stay in Tok, a night in the stove is a must! Not only is it unique but it’s spacious (I’m 6’7”/2meters and could stand comfortably) and certainly a great value. The tiny “cabin” was warm with plenty of blankets and a special heater. The added bonus is rereading Robert Service’s poem and getting a certificate!

    Adam2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was very clean. It was charming. But most interesting, I was delightfully surprised that is was a quiet inside, given that it is located right in town. I also found that I slept comfortably in a "woodstove". I look forward to coming back.

    Jerry2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Pleasantly surprised by the space, it is bigger than it looks and the heater/extra blankets kept me warm through the night. The outdoor kitchen at the main campground was pretty cool also.

    Hannah2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The bed was comfortable enough for sleeping. The electric heater with the lighting effect of glowing hot coals was a nice touch. I did use an extra blanket though, as the overnight low was right around freezing on the 18th of August.

Common area very good to meet other people who live in private rooms in the same house. kitchen good equipped for cooking. Much space in the shared bathroom. However, there is only one. Lot of space around the house to park, play or eat outside. No lockers. Very friendly and good atmosphere, Felt safe even main door is unlocked. Really recommended!

  • We were glad to find this place. There isn't much choice in Tok, particularly as regards restaurants, so a comfortable Airbnb with ample kitchen facilities was a good find.

While the space is small and cozy, you have access to the large dinning, kitchen, and movie areas. This room contains 2 twin XL beds (for tall folks). This room is by the back entrance where the BBQ and picnic table are located. For cooking and eating you have a spacious kitchen and dinning area plus a refrigerator and cupboards for your food stuff. Enjoy a movie in the sitting area while you are here, we have hundreds of DVDs to choose from.
In the center of town, you will love the walking paths and good location. The courthouse is beside our place to the east. The nightly price is $69 for 2 people ($7 for each additional person and for any pet(s). Our family-run campground is located right off the Alaskan Highway, close to the city center, restaurants, a park, native culture, and outdoor adventure. Beside 40 Mile Air and the bush pilots, we have a fire pit in the back for roasting marshmallows and socializing with fellow campers. Walking paths in front of the Campground go all around town. Your RV Cabin will be in Row B surrounded by trees..
This is a fully stocked (dishes, cutlery, pans, cleaning supplies) RV cabin with stove, microwave, fridge, TV (only 4 channels), and private bathroom. There are not really any "bedrooms" but the queen bed is up front with a privacy curtain, the kitchen and dining table in the middle, and 2 bunks with privacy curtains in the back beside the bathroom. Each bunk will sleep a child comfortably and the bottom bunk will sleep an adult used to camping (think sleeping on a camping mat). The dinning room table makes into a small bed (toddlers only) as well as the sofa (pulls out to a small double). Please note that the queen bed has a very comfy mattress while the bunks are camper mattresses and thin. Children love the bunks but adults, maybe not as much. Although the bathroom is nice, we encourage guests to shower in the campground showers as they are larger, sturdier, with lots of hot water and much more comfortable.
• The RV was clean and inviting. Great host with quick responses. The RV has a shower but it’s better to use the facility showers due to more hot water and to avoid the risk of over filling the RV tanks. Facility showers were very clean. They also have a washer and dryer for a small fee if needed.

Nightly price is $79 for 2 people ($7 per additional person -$7 per pet) Our family-run campground is located right off the Alaskan Highway (beside 40 Mile Air, mile post 1313) close to the town center, restaurants, a park, native culture, and outdoor adventure. This unit has recently been upgraded with a porch and shade roof nestled in the pines. Visit our community fire ring and socialize with fellow campers. Walking paths in front of the Campground go all around town.
OUTSIDE: This unit is nestled in the pines and was recently upgraded with a porch and shade roof. You have a picnic table and BBQ unit right outside. It is also close to the common area where you can visit with travelers from around the globe if you choose. KITCHEN: This is a fully stocked (dishes, cutlery, pans, cleaning supplies) RV cabin with stove, microwave, fridge. BEDS: There are not really any "bedrooms" but the queen bed is up front, the kitchen and dining table in the middle, and 2 full size bunks in the back beside the bathroom. Each bunk can sleep 2 children, or one adult, and the dinning room table makes into a small bed-suitable for a child only. We say the camper sleeps 5--but that means 4 adults and a child--or several children. Please be aware that although the queen bed has a new, very comfortable mattress, the bunk mattresses are camper style and thin. They work well for kids and those who need a firm mattress. Although the bathroom is nice, we encourage guests to shower in the campground showers as they are larger, sturdier and much more comfortable. ENTERTAINMENT: This unit has a local TV (only 4 channels). It also has a CD player with surround sound and you can listen to books on CDs as well as music. BATH: We have full bathroom but it is only suitable for BRIEF showers. We encourage guests to use the Camp showers with are larger, sturdy, and have plenty of hot water.

  • The caravan is perfect for 2 adults and has everything you need. It has a bathroom with an internal shower but within walking distance there are very clean and comfortable bathrooms / showers. Access to common services is via numeric keypad and the code is supplied with a qr code scan.

  • Great place to stay and loved the doggy box!

    Oscar2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Aspen is a travel trailer that has been all dolled up for guests. A roof and porch have been built around it so it's very easy to access and also keep off any rain from the entrance. It is sparkling clean and in great shape. We did use the very nice shower facilities instead of the trailer shower, just because there is more space and no worries about running out of hot water. There is a queen bed and bunk bed. The queen bed is very high, and was difficult for me, being short and squat. My husband slept in it and said the mattress was great. I opted for the lower bunk, which would be great for children, but not so much for me, as it didn't feel like it had a mattress at all. Regardless, it was fine for one night and we very much appreciated Shelly allowing us to check in early.

  • The Miners Cabin was quaint, rustic yet with the amenities. It was very chilly when we got there so the small heater was appreciated. The darkening shades/curtains helped a lot, since we aren’t used to this constant sunlight, so we got a good nights sleep. Shauna welcomed us into her home for breakfast, and I expected the basics, but she had everything laid out and organized, no matter what your preferences might be. The fresh quiche and reindeer sausage was delicious! Thank you for making our stay memorable!

The area is very pleasant to explore, as it’s in a quieter part of town so you’re right in the forest with rabbits next to your door.
