Vacation Rentals in Tasman

Just booked in Tasman

"The Chocolate Yurt" is a fully insulated 6m yurt with a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. A private retreat in the native bush with outdoor kitchen with cooking facilities and bath/shower, both with amazing views of the Motueka river valley and the Tasman Bay beyond.
Our yurt resides in an eco village in the Motueka river valley, 15 minutes from Motueka. The handcrafted wooden furniture gives it a warm, inviting atmosphere. A woodburner provides warmth for the winter months.
Our yurt is surrounded by native bush and often you wake up with the song of the bellbird and fall asleep with the sound of the morepork. Our neighbours are all happily living in this beautiful spot
  • What a break! Straight up, i'm a city girl so I am nervous about staying in the outdoors, but this was glamping! I had everything I needed to have a comfortable, functional, but outdoorsy stay. A beautiful, big clean yurt with a big bed with super warm duvets, and power for the little lights about the place and power points for charging your devices. I always feel the cold but the yurt was very warm, even during the night. Towels, linen and blankets were provided. As for the amenities, the kitchen was very well equipped with a gas stove and gas fridge, and even some tea, coffee, salt, pepper, etc. Do bring some cooking oil with you though! The outdoor shower was very warm, and the composting toilet was virtually smell free. As for our hosts, Remko was prompt at answering any messages pre-trip. He met us on arrival, and showed us around the Yurt and how to use everything. There was also a handy book with instructions on how to use everything too. Thank you Remko and family - we look forward to returning next summer!

  • We loved staying at the yurt! One of the best things we've done in NZ. Remko was welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the outdoor facilities, particularly showering with a view. All the woodwork was beautiful and really added character to the place. Highly recommend.

  • A lovely place to relax, soak in the view and listen to the birds. Off the grid, off the beaten path and off the scale! Sarah and John

  • Amazing place to stay. Remko was very helpful and welcoming. Photos really do not put this little slice of paradise to justice! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

  • My first Airbnb experience along with my first ever Yurtlife experience. Wow all I can say is I am so very grateful for the opportunity to meet Tessa and her family and to stay in a beautiful yurt in a magic location. It was peaceful, natural, birds singing, rain on the roof, snug with a fire and a yummy breakfast all made with tenderness and care for the environment and people who visit. I felt so privileged to stay. I also feel more enlightened and inspired to look st my life and how I can improve it. So grateful and hope to come back again. Thank you so much

    Toni2016-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the yurt. It was such a beutiful spot of nature and we loved living in the natute. Tessa and her family were the perfect hosts providing a delicious breakfast and even helped us out when we got a flat tire! We wanna go back soon!

    Anna2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Remko and Tessa have a wonderful simple life style and the yurt is so peaceful and quiet and everything you need for a relaxing night away. They are very generous and hospitable and the breakfast was outstanding. Thank you.

    Hollie2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Yurt exceeded all expectations. The accomodation was stunningly cultured and rustic whilst maintaining the modern amenities like wifi and cooking facilities. The view was beautiful and we would highly recommend coming to stay with Tessa and family to see it for yourself. Many Thanks and we wish you all the best, Jamie and Paige

  • The House Truck was great, even better than we had hoped! There was so much attention to detail in the layout of the truck, and we had everything that we needed. The location was amazing, and having an outdoor shower with views of Golden Bay was a fantastic experience! We would definitely stay again.

    Alison2014-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • What great experience. Amazing view, complete privacy and the House Truck is perfect. Would love to have stayed longer.

  • Beautiful set-up in a beautiful place. Private, quiet and extremely cosy and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place, and what an amazing shower, wish we could have stayed forever!

    Camille2015-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, this place is amazing! We arrived at the property not quite knowing what to expect as it is a dream of ours to live in our own house truck one day. We drove up the hill through the bush and there it was. It is absolutely gorgeous. It stands on the hill overlooking the bay. Inside it is comfy and quaint with lots of wood and colourful windows. We loved the little peace flags and the selection of cds to listen to. Outside there is a composting toilet in a seperate little building, table and chairs to enjoy the amazing view, a bbq and an outdoor bath and shower. It was so lovely soaking in the bath, admiring the view and listening to Bob Marley on the stereo. Bliss! The area is lovely and Takaka is now our favourite place! Do yourself a favour and check out the guest book too - it is a heartwarming read and full of rich history and love from all sorts of people. It is full of stories, photos and drawings

    Indy2016-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house truck was an amazing experience - one we'll remember for a long time! Unfortunately we couldn't have picked a worse day weather-wise, but I can imagine how beautiful the view would be on a clear day. We were warm and comfortable though, and very impressed with the Eco-friendly facilities. We'd love to stay here again.

  • Awesome waterfront property with everything we required for a weekend in Nelson. The views are spectacular and well worth the climb up the stairs. We hope we can return another time.

    Caroline2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeously appointed apartment with so many thoughtful extras. Fabulous view !

    Vicki2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was great! Fantastic view, very clean, and the movie section was a nice detail. Wish we had more time to stay.

    Justin2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was friendly and flexible, which made her easy to work with. And the listing exceeded our expectations: it reflects her good taste and feels like a spa environment. Understated, elegant, clean. And what a view!

    Judy2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Mary came to greet us at the top of the stairs as the driveway was quite difficult to find. The view was stunning as was the apartment layout and appointments. The only downside was the lack of soaps, shampoos and conditioner. The breakfast supplies were minimal with only a thimble full of milk, 4 slices of white bread including a crust and 4 Kellogg's mini cereal boxes. Certainly no home baked goodies as per our previous experiences. There was however a Nespresso machine with a complete range of pods at $1 each and free access to 80 movies on Apple TV. The apartment was beautifully furnished and decorated with all rooms spacious and comfortable.

    Judy2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful apartment with everything we could have wanted for a warm and cosy stay. It was incredibly clean, well appointed and the views were stunning. We would stay again without a doubt.

    Hannah2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was just what we needed! Absolutely stunning view and with absolute privacy :) perfectly appointed with all you need to recharge your batteries. Mary was very helpful and friendly and left us with the information we needed to enjoy our stay.

  • A lovely place to kickback and relax. It’s a little ways out of Nelson but it’s a peaceful scenic area that’s worth the drive. We enjoyed having a place to cook and grill in the evening (we get tired of eating out everyday) and it served as a jumping off point to Nelson and the National Park. Sue was a lovely hostess and gave us many helpful suggestions. She even did a load of clothes for us!

    Gary2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue & Hugo were awesome hosts, their property was even better than we imagined, so beautiful, and very well maintained. They were extremely welcoming and accommodating. They even washed a load of laundry for us during our stay so that we could focus on enjoying our vacation. They provided great advice on places to visit, we really loved the little nearby town of Mapua, which they recommended. Fantastic A+++++ hosts and property, highly recommended. Mahalo and Aloha Sue and Hugo!

    Thomas2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Hugo were wonderful hosts! Communication was great, the apartment was just beautiful with amazing views, the bathroom floors were heated, free wifi/television for rainy days, and Sue made us some homemade muesli with yogurt, bread/butter for breakfast, and her homemade honey! Sue and Hugo also provided recommended restaurants, bars, wineries, and brochures for us to explore on trip. We also had to change one of our bookings at the last minute, and Sue generously provided her landline phone so we could make a call. Overall - 10 stars from us! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area - you will not be disappointed! Thanks Sue and Hugo :)

    Megan2015-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really friendly hosts who made us very welcome and gave us good ideas about where to eat and visit. Very comfy bed and lovely homemade museli, yogurt and marmalade for breakfast. Thanks Sue and Hugo.

    Helen2015-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Met on arrival by Sue who showed us through their beautiful and well equipped unit in a picture perfect location. Sue and Hugo were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Little extras with of her muesli and homemade yoghurt and jam which were delicious. If you are after a relaxing few days you won't get much better than this. Wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Superb..Splendid Stay we could ever wish for...We truly felt we met our secret santa earlier this december :D thanks to our lovely hosts Sue & Hugo to not only make our stay comfortable but also help me plan a perfect romantic birthday bash for my hubby :D The scenic beauty and the cozy home makes it a perfect place especially for a couple ...the small detailing of the interiors too will surely leave a smile on your face throughout your stay. We would highly recommend everyone to stay here at nelson and this will surely leave a mark on your trip to New Zealand :)

    Priyanka2012-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay. Great view and close to wine country.

    John2013-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely small apartment as described. 2nd "bedroom" really the lounge. Fine with family member(s) but wouldn't have suited 2 sets of friends so well as communal space would have been limited. That said there is plenty of outside area to relax in. Views amazing - idyllic spot. Real bonus were Sue n Hugo - both charming hosts who struck the balance between welcome / care and providing privacy. Never mind renting out rooms - Sue should commercially produce her yoghurt - it's the best we've ever eaten!

Continental Breakfast included which includes yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread, milk and spreads. No hidden cleaning costs on booking. We have two rooms available, both of which you will have to yourselves on booking. 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and the other in the main area has a King size bed. Also separate laundry/toilet/shower area. Private entry and completely private to our upstairs dwelling. We can offer you a 10% discount with the local kayak company down the road if operating.
The apartment is two bedroom studio style, but very large (approx 70 sqm) with private entry. We can offer you a local discount with the Kayaking company here called Golden Bay Kayaking Company. The apartment is below our house with private entry and deck with small garden so all in all the area is very private from the house. We are 100m from Tata Beach; a beautiful beach with golden sand and mountainous backdrop. You can swim at the beach at all tides, and all year round (in winter too if you're brave). Behind the studio is direct access to an estuary (for times when the beach is too rough). The studio is equipped with everything you need to cook (a full oven, microwave, stove and refrigerator) and has a veranda for you to dine outside on warm, summer nights. We provide a continental breakfast which includes the choice of 4 cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit of the season, spreads and either raw milk or supermarket milk - your choice! Plunger coffee and teas. 100% fruit juice. Rhubarb freely available from our garden as is lettuce and herbs outside the apartment for your use. We have lived here at Tata Beach for 29 years and walked the Abel Tasman, Heaphy and Cobb Valley tracks many times. We are only a 10 minute drive to the Northern end of the Abel Tasman track and can be used as a base for tramping there without having to stay in the huts etc. We are happy to help you with your plans and give you advice on the most picturesque or challenging hikes, climbs, kayak adventures or picnic spots in the area. We are part of the local walking and cycling groups and would be more than happy to take you along for the ride. Double kayak, single kayak , paddle boards and classes are all available for hire just down the beach and we can offer a 10% discount on booking a stay with us, bikes may also be available for hire in town. Golden Bay is a relaxing location, so we ask that our guests are quiet when they share our house (we live above the studio). We can advise on the best places to have dinner and best markets to visit to take advantage of the local produce and crafts.
Close to beaches for swimming, kayaking, or just lazing on the beach. We are on a peninsular so surrounded by water either side (estuary is our backyard) so you can have a coffee on our Jack and Jill Macrocarpa seat while you watch the water come in or go out. On the beach side Tata Beach is the only beach within the Golden Bay area that is swimmable at all tides.
  • Debby and Neville were extremely friendly and hospitable, which we greatly appreciated. We spent two nights in Golden Bay and their home was the perfect location to access some of the best sights in the area.

    Sibyl2013-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this cute ground floor apartment in Tata Beach. This whole area of New Zealand is gorgeous. We stayed three nights but could have easily have spent a week there. Tata Beach is small and quiet but is a great base for exploring the area. The apartment is very comfortable - especially the beds - and has a pretty view out to the estuary out back. But the real draw of this airbnb are the hosts, Debby and Neville. They are wonderful. They had us up for breakfast two mornings for delicious pancakes and scones and coffees. Neville roasts his own coffee and can make a professional looking and tasting flat white. Debbie stocks the airbnb with homemade muesli, fresh pressed juices, whole milk from the dairy, homemade yogurt, bread, etc. They gave us so many tips for the area, and also encouraged us to pick whatever we liked from their pretty garden. Debby and Neville are lovely people. All in all, a wonderful airbnb experience.

    Alistair & Jenny2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying with Neville and Debby they are perfect hosts. We only had two nights and this was obviously nowhere near long enough for this beautiful area. Debby and Neville are very friendly and were extremely helpful with local knowledge. We slept in the biggest bed ever - so comfortable. We loved Debby's homemade jam and chocolate chip cookies, a lovely wee touch which was very much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Mo and Rob

    Maureen2014-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts AND perfect location for a long weekend getaway - 10 min drive to everywhere and the beach across the road is spectacular for an evening swim! The hosts are a lovely couple and very sensitive to your individual needs and plans. Lovely touches such as homemade yogurt, juices, and beautiful fruit and vege garden where we were told to help ourselves to the plums! Perfect advice on where and what to do each day leaving no need to think!

    Sally2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time! Our hosts were incredible and did everything they could to make our stay fantastic! From delicious scones to possibly the best flat white I have ever had, Debby and Neville went to great lengths to create a lovely and warm atmosphere for us. The accommodations were roomy and contained everything that we needed. There were delicious homemade cookies and breakfast supplies waiting for us in the apartment and delightful conversations throughout our visit. From tips on places to explore while we there, to ideas on what we could do on our way to the next adventure, they helped create a new and wonderful itinerary for us! I would highly recommend staying at Tata Beach. Our hosts were truly treasures!

    Donna2014-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with neville and debby for 4 nights, it was a wonderful experience we enjoyed the neighbourhood, the beach was amazing, we did some kayaking which was tiring and lots of fun. About our hosts both are very very nice people we dint get enough chance to talk to them but neville gave us some very good advice on what we could do with our time and where we can go, and debby makes the worlds most amazing cookies, loved them. i would highly recommend staying with them they are very nice hosts and have very nice place and the neighbourhood is just cherry on the cake. thanks neville and debby for being a wonderful host.

    Manish2015-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Neville and Debby's place - it is in a great spot with a lovely view of the estuary and only 100 m from Tata beach. We were made to feel very welcome and really appreciated being provided with a high chair and bib for our one year old. We had all seasons during our stay and the flat was a nice place to be in rain and sun. The kitchen was simple but had everything we needed. We found the layout initially a little strange with the king bed in the same room as the living space but we got used to it quickly and it worked fine. All in all a very peaceful and easy place to stay. Thanks Neville and Debby!

    Kristie2016-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Neville was a fantastic host. He made us feel right at home and even treated us to flat whites and some great conversation. The location is amazing, right near the water and close to the entrance of the Abel Tasman. The kitchen space was great for cooking and we kept really warm with the space heater provided. We highly recommend staying with Neville and hope to be back again in the future.

  • Amazing place, the 2 most memorable things for me were the curious kiwi that came around every morning and the starry sky that was bright enough to cast shadows on the ground without the moon. I also personally had no issues with any bugs durring my time there. I'd reccomend this place to anyone. Just make sure your vechile is good on dirt roads/hills.

  • We had an amazing time at Kiwi Greenie & I would 100% recommend it to anyone wanting to stay somewhere beautiful, peaceful, private & secluded. It has every comfort you need and is close to the Abel Tasman national park, which has some of the most amazing untouched beaches in the world.

  • Fantastic house with incredible views. Very secluded and relaxing!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Kiwi Greenie! It is in a beautiful location that makes it easy to relax and take in the scenery. The stars at night were incredible. The house is extremely comfortable and quite a marvel. It had everything we needed and was very clean. I hope I get the opportunity to stay there again.

  • The perfect retreat in a stunning location. The accommodation is immaculate and the attention to detail much appreciated! Fresh flowers, freshly baked scones on arrival and the most comfortable bed. We had the best nights sleep. Louise and Richard are wonderful hosts, so friendly. I really recommend this accommodation.

    Jenny2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying her. Louise's place was in the most beautiful setting and the room was gorgeous with its own bathroom and lovely toiletries. The scones on arrival were absolutely delicious. The view is spectacular and the setting is beautiful. Louise and her husband were extremely welcoming and gave us great advice on the area and NZ telling us about a beautiful lake nearby off the beaten track. Only stay if you have a car as it's a short drive from the nearest town. A wonderful experience and stay. Thanks so much for a perfect night.

    Lily2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The sleep-out was a large and lovely space in an exquisite setting. Plenty of space to relax, play, and dine. The furnishings were great (bed on the softer side) and the private bathroom just a few steps away was luxurious. If it is bug & moth season, don't forget to shut the windows if you have the lights on. It is a real country-style neighborhood, and absolutely beautiful. Not far to drive to Lake Rotoroa over an unsealed road. (If heading elsewhere from there, you can depart on regular sealed roads.)

    Linda2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, comfortable and a 'get away from it all' place. Lovely cookies too!

Here is my quaint, modest 1898 cottage walking distance to the town with a spacious bedroom and tasteful decor throughout. It would suit a mature single traveler wanting conversation or quiet, comfort and great breakfast. I do welcome couples though as well. Non-smokers only please. I have been known to tour guide guests in lieu of them hiring a car, either taking them to vinyards or drive to Mapua or Motueka for a small cost.
Being an 1898 cottage the decor has been a little bent on French/African mixed with shabby chic. Nothing gives me more pleasure than making a guest at home. Any space is only as good as its host and I will endeavour to make your stay relaxing and memorable. The bathroom is right opposite the guest bedroom and I usually plan to use it myself when my guests are out exploring, so in effect is your ensuite.
I am down a quiet street, yet close to town. Certainly a number of things to see and experience. There is the WOW museum; numerous quality wine vineyards close by, the Nelson Saturday Market is a must. A ferry to the lighthouse or Farewell Spit. Of course the Abel Tasman is a must. I have access to bike hire which can be delivered and dropped off with credit card facilities. Hardy street is our street of Restaurants as well as Rocks Road with amazing views over the ocean.
  • Linda is a nice, friendly, warm and helpful host.  Her cottage and the garden are beautiful. The breakfast was great, the bed uge and comfortable and everything needed available. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this place.

  • Linda puts great care into her home and as a host. She has an eye for detail that is a delight and a surprise. She welcomed me with a friendly smile and afternoon tea which I really appreciated.

  • Another lovely stay with Linda. I really did feel at home and enjoyed her clean, comfortable and well-decorated home, as well as the wonderful food and transport. Most appreciated!

    Nick2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was the perfect host. She is friendly and chats easily. She goes the extra mile and cooked me a lovely dinner at very short notice. I loved the cottage which is very close to the centre and done beautifully. There are a few steps up from the road but there is parking on the street and despite having a very basic map I managed to find my way there. This was very good value and I hope to stay again.

  • I think this was my favourite AirBNB hostess ever! Beautiful cottage with amazing decor and lots of small touches to personalise your stay. Good location, comfy bed and delicious breakfast. If you are after a more relaxed/casual experience communing with nature, then this is the place for you. The fully self contained motor home is nestled in a private location amongst the trees on the property. Do not expect the Ritz here - it's about enjoying it for what it is - a natural environment with privacy and peace. Roughing it with style. And although I make every effort to have it spotless, because of its bush location dust and cobwebs are inevitable at times. Home cooked farm style dinner and/or breakfast available at main house by prior arrangement. Dinner (main and desert) $30 per person, cooked breakfast (bacon, hash browns, tomatoes, fresh free range eggs and toast) $15, continental (cereal and toast) $10. I am a keen motorcyclist so I welcome fellow enthusiasts.
Mapua is five minutes drive away and has range of shops, galleries, restaurants, bars and cafés. The village is situated by the beautiful Waimea Estuary, just a short drive from Nelson, Richmond and Motueka.
  • This place is just ridiculously beautiful. Lush garden, fantastic views and a hot tub. And then there's Dawn. Dawn is such a nice, cool, energetic and lovely woman that is was a real pleasure to stay with her.

    Paulien2016-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great located accommodation, close to the Abel Tasman Nationalpark. The bed in the bus was so confortable . We were allowed to use Dawns shower, which was really nice. The wifi in the camper didn't work, but we could login at Dawns wifi. You must sit in the bath tub after an exhausting day... really amazing!! We would total recommend it, because it's something different.

    Teresa2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay here. The motorhome is quirky, comfortable and well equipped.

    Lisa2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved sleeping in the bus- it was so comfy!! Even better was the hot tub with the magnificent view.

    Hayley2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn is great & made us very welcome, explaining everything about how the van we were staying in worked (we have a motor home so we're used to the set up). The position of it gives an amount of privacy but Dawn makes it very clear that you can pop into the house whenever you wish. Wifi doesn't quite reach to the van which is a bit frustrating, but all you need to do is walk to the house. Other people have mentioned the length of the bed, I am 1.81m tall & didn't really find it a problem. Great to be able to use the hot tub (amazing views!) & the ducks waddling past the door are lovely! Would definitely recommend.

    David2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Dawn in Camper Bus. During our stay we were able to enjoy Dawn "little farm". It was great experience to wake up in the morning to have ducks and chickens around. Dawn was very nice and helpful. Thank you.

Relax and enjoy the stunning, ever-changing sea and estuary views from this quiet, peaceful cottage on 2 acres of native and pine. Awake to sunrise and birdsong from your bed or grab a cuppa and take it all in from the comfort of an easy chair.
The cottage is more suited to a couple or solo traveler.
For those who need real R and R, put your feet up, relax and enjoy the all day panorama, bush and bird life from the comfort of home. For the adventurous there is great kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, tramping and swimming. For the more sedate, enjoy some magnificent easy walks, check out our quirky township, or leave the car at home and explore the beaches at your doorstep, find the seals and take in the amazing bird life. It's all here.

  • We stayed at Chris's place over Christmas and had such a peaceful and relaxing couple of days. The cottage was extremely well equipped for cooking Christmas dinner! Chris and pip were so warm and friendly and really made us feel welcome. It was just a shame our time was so short as we would love to have stayed at sunrise cottage much longer.

Perched high in Atawhai, our place has great views over the Tasman Bay. You'll love the peaceful neighborhood, and endless sea view. It is only a short drive, or a 30 minute walk, along the waterfront to town. The lower floor is for our guests sole use, comprising the main bedroom with queen bed, a day room, with king single bed, and your own bathroom. (No kitchen.) Should you want to meet us, we live upstairs. Would suit couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Your space is the downstairs floor of our 2 story home. It is your own space, including a garden to relax in. It has wonderful views over Tasman Bay, and lovely birdsong to keep you company.
Atawhai is a hillside suburb 3km north of Nelson. Our place is at the top of the street, very private and a great space to escape from it all.
  • A lovely space with a fabulous view and many nice ‘extra’ touches. Communication with Kathryn was very prompt and easy, clear instructions, straightforward access and we appreciated the provision of some local beers and breakfast food.

  • Lovely view and very clean! The kitchen is part of the second bedroom on carpet which was fine but I wasn’t expecting! A microwave would have been great. The wifi was good though and the beds were very comfortable! Upstairs was noisey (it was Friday night though) and some notice would have been appreciated. Overall it was a good stay. Gorgeous finishing touches with bath salts and soap!

The toilet/shower room is very clean and spacious! If you do not intend to cook, Kathryn's place is highly recommended. We will definitely come back if we visit nelson again.

Unfortunately we did not get to meet Kathryn or Peter but they left breakfast for us and there were some lovely finishing touches. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Nelson area. You won't be disappointed.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Adrianna's Guesthouse. It is quiet & private, fresh & clean with a lovely lay-out - totally self contained. Adrianna was a wonderful hostess - helpful with any queries but also gave us space to enjoy her guesthouse & garden. Adrianna provided us with breakfast options as well as catering for my husband's Coeliac needs by providing gluten free bread. We enjoyed the location as Mapua is only a short pleasant drive to Kaiteriteri/Abel Tasman park as well as being close to the quaint Mapua shops, eateries & cycleway. We will recommend this AirBnB to family & friends.

  • We had a very good stay at Daniella's and Koen's. Their are great host and a lovely family to stay at. They are so nice and the kids are adorable. The room has everything what you need. The shower in your own bathroom is wonderful. They are so easy going and really helpful. We could use their kitchen to prepare our food, got really good tips for our travels and had some really nice conversations. And not to forget, the Wifi is superfast and unlimited. Superb. We would stay there anytime again and can only recommend it to anyone.

This would make for a great place to stop and rest or to use as a base while you make the most of all the exciting things that this region has to offer - from the bike and walking trails, to sky-diving, the beaches and of course, the national parks. You should be very comfortable on the double sized bed, with feather and down pillows. There are extra blankets as well, in case you should feel the cold. There is also a wall (panel) heater and electric blankets for your comfort. While there is no stove to cook, the microwave & fridge should be very handy. Help yourself to the muesli & milk, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, herbal teas, as well as spreads provided, for breakfast. The local restaurants and cafes are great and there are some menus handy to help you decide your next meal. WI-FI - There is a dedicated router in the studio to ensure you have fantastic speeds and unlimited usage (within reason!). The access codes etc are available in the room when you stay here.
A quiet, well established neighbourhood, very close to the main street and supermarket.
  • Kal was an awesome host. Offered so many recommendations on places to stop on the way. The space was cosy and inviting. Perfect for our one night stay. Thank you so much for all your hospitality. Would definitely stay again!

  • We were delighted by the warm welcome from Andy, Kal and their kids. We had nice talks and they gave good advice on things to do in the area. The independent studio is lovely and contains everything one would need for a great stay. We enjoyed the calm, the only thing we could hear is birds in the morning which is very pleasant. I would go back without hesitation. Thank you.

  • Great place to stay - clean, quiet, stylish space. Easy walk into town where there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Easy drive to Ramanuka Reserve and the Sand split walk - which was a lovely path/beach walk. Andy and Kal were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their cute studio!

  • Nelson is a great town and well worth the time to visit. Paula's room is a couple of minutes drive to the centre so more suited if you have a car. It is very well decorated, clean with plenty of comfort and charm. No view but sunny spot to sit outside. They are currently in the middle of work in the front yard so the entrance is not glamorous but no inconvenience.

    Suzanne2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Small but perfectly formed, great for a short 1 night stop before moving on. Very clean! Short walk (about 15mins at a reasonable pace) into town centre for food. Lots of choice once in town.

  • A great little Studio with such a perfect location. Plenty of parking on the street and the hosts were fabulous! I arrived very late - exhausted and they made the effort to help me carrying my luggage. I stayed only one night but would've extended but unfortunately it was already booked. Studio has everything you need and is super comfy and warm. Hosts were very helpful with everything and even gave me some yummy apples for the road before leaving. Can only highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Nelson.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Marion's place. The apartment was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was also conveniently located on a quiet street and made for an easy walk into town. Before we arrived we had a minor accident with our camper van and Marion went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with our issue. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Nelson.

  • Nice room with a beautiful view, a few minutes away from town. It was a bit tricky to find the driveway the first time as it is sort of secluded. But other than that a really good place to recover.
