“Bagamoyo, located at Pwani region, approximate 1hr 20minutes by bus. It cost 1$ to get there. You can experience good view of Bagamoyo beaches, Art work, Slave trade & Pre- Post colonial history, Birds and Wild animal view at Saadan National Parks in good price.”

“The cheapest beer is found here, for sure! You'll catch a mix of Tanga residents, expatriates, and traveling sailors here. The food is also pretty ok, and comes at a good price.”

Park
“This is a good outdoor space to visit to get a glimpse of Tanga town life towards the end of the day. There is an Indian restaurant (Sea Breeze) right opposite, for delicious meals (service does take a while though, so you may want to order before you go to the park).”

Farmers Market
“This is just one of many markets in Tanga; this is probably the easiest to find and is conveniently located right opposite the town's first supermarket. Other markets (Ngamiani) is on Street Number 13 and caters more for the "local" clientele.”

Lodging
“This very old hotel, the original 'Bandarini Hotel,' although renovated approximately 10 years ago, still looks a little run down. However, if you like Indian food, this is the best restaurant in Tanga. The seafood dishes are amazing and the price is low compared to anywhere else in Tanzania. Located opposite the Forodhani Gardens of Tanga, a cool place to hang out, observe the quiet pace of Tanga City go by, and savour some excellent dishes and cold beers. Opens at 19.00 hrs for dinner and has a bar that is open throughout the day. NOTE: like just about any restaurant in Tanga, the waiting time for a meal can be from a minimum of 30 minutes or more.”

“This is where buses from out of town arrive. Buses to specific destinations leave from here or close by. Make sure to ask where to find the right bus depending on where you're going. We have a designated taxi driver. Please ask us for his contacts”
