This sun-drenched room features glowing hardwood floors and a picturesque bay window overlooking the front garden and historic Reservoir Park. Relax in graceful chairs nestled in the bay window, or lounge in the ornately carved queen-sized sleigh bed dressed in a silk comforter and pillows. A beautiful floral tile mural extends that special garden feel into the private bath.
Signature Breakfast You will never go away hungry at The Fleur-De-Lys Mansion! We start serving breakfast at 8:30 AM with the last service at 9:30 AM. We strive to provide you with scratch, tasty, and wholesome food. Our bread is baked fresh on site daily from a sourdough starter. This includes English Muffins, bagels, and Italian bread. Chef Mark and his staff use local and fresh ingredients for a breakfast you will never forget. Food allergies must be noted in advance.
We are on a fairly quiet street, tucked away among mature trees and across from a park. The neighborhood is very walkable and runnable and there are huge and beautiful parks nearby.
  • Expect to have great service at an amazing place. We thank Leslie and Mark for a wonderful stay.

  • A nice clean room in a charming older home. Lots of antiques to look at.

    Jill2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brian is a very gracious host, with considerable knowledge of antiques and the local area — if things from the past are your jam, stay here! There’s much to see and admire. The location is very near the old square, which offers a few shops, places to grab a bite, and a few bars. It’s centrally located to several other towns and not far from St Louis, but it’s quite safe in Waterloo. Because we were visiting with family for the holidays we had breakfast planned out most every morning, so we didn’t have breakfast here. We didn’t realize it was an option until later (for some reason it didn’t show for me on the listing) but it worked great. We will definitely stay here again!

    Cris2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We adored Brian’s BnB! Our bedroom was cozy and comfy. We slept great and loved our room. We really enjoyed when we first checked in and were able to talk to Brian about the history of his home and all the antiques. There is so much history in that house! It’s really quite amazing. He put a lot of work into it and it shows. If you love antiques and old artifacts I highly suggest you stay at Brian’s place. You should also check out his store Mill Street Treasures. It’s downtown, less than a mile away. We spent an hour in there looking at everything and there was some really cool stuff upstairs! The downstairs is themed per season, so lots of Christmas stuff! Overall, we recommend Brian’s BnB! He is a lovely host with a lot of knowledge and we really enjoyed spending time talking with him. We will definitely be back!

    Jen2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Brian was a wonderful host. Great communication pre-trip and during our quick stay. Our room was comfy and quiet and we got a great night’s sleep after a day exploring Waterloo. So many antiques decorate every inch of space. A unique B&B and a true gem in Waterloo. We had to head home early and missed breakfast. Hoping our next stay can be longer!

    Renee2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a very nice pick for a romantic get away. Great location, and everything is very clean. The house is very beautifully decorated, with a charming grandfather's clock chiming every hour.

    Ashley2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed a very congenial stay. Brian, a local native, is a wealth of knowledge about the Waterloo area and its history. If you are into antiques, this B&B is like a Victorian museum. Room was large, clean and quiet. Will contact again if in the area.

    Bob2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you love antiques like I do this is the place to stay.

My place is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of The hospitality, homey atmosphere, the comfy beds. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
  • Great place close to Main Street. We had a room, living room, kitchen and bath to ourselves. Loved the homey decor- took me back to visiting my grandparents. She even had a delicious pastry setting on the table to greet us! She provided maps and recommendations for dinner. Thanks for a great visit Rhonda.

    Cheri2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rhona is by far the best host we have ever had! The bed-and-breakfast was stunning and clean! It was so cool to stay at such a lovely historical home. Her food was heavenly. In fact the fresh baked pie upon arrival made me weak in the knees it was so good! I don’t even have words for how scrumptious breakfast was. I honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and directed us to multiple places we enjoyed! Ronha treated us like family the instantly we stepped out of the car. We will definitely be back for a visit as soon as possible!

    Jaimi2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible time at Rhona's place. She's an extremely sweet host and the house is a site to behold. The breakfast was a wonderful touch and extremely delicious. We can't wait to make a return trip to the Lococo house. Do yourself a favor and make the reservation now!

    Jason2019-11-03T00:00:00Z

  • Great and friendly home and atmosphere. Wonderful food and added touches.

    Susan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great little B&B in a great location! Rhona made our first B&B experience memorable. Very welcoming and thoughtful, knowledgeable about the area, and a great cook too! We would definitely stay with her again if we get back to the area. You won't be disappointed!

    Stephanie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is exactly what you would expect from a bed and breakfast. It was homely, clean, and friendly. Probably the best experiences one could ask for for a first time at a B&B.

    Tyler2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a review on behalf of my mom :). We gave her a night away with her sister as she has been holding a lot together, lately. She raved about Rhona’s place and the food and the hospitality and being able to drink coffee outside and just relax. My mom and her sister had a wonderful time. Apparently, the breakfast was amazing as they both tried to go into detail about it, but would interrupt each other with mmmm’s and oooooo’s. Coconut dipped, French toast!!?!? They also talked about goose feathers (pastry) that was prepared for them when they arrived! Apparently, they got the recipe and we should be enjoying those soon! They loved their time and were very complimentary of Rhona as their host.

  • Outstanding experience all around. Breakfast was great as we our hosts.

  • We had a delightful stay and were completely impressed by the extra comforts and attention to detail. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do.

    Danelle2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Quick response from the host as we were a last minute booking. This was greatly appreciated. Beautiful home with many thoughtful touches. Easy to find and there was someone to greet us on our arrival. Home was very clean and spacious. Definitely would stay here again.

    Maryann2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This BnB is so pleasant and beautifully appointed. It's in a great part of town that is just magical and historic. Christine keeps a beautiful house that smells and feels so clean, and I'm usually very picky about those kinds of details. You can tell she and her husband work hard to maintain a high-quality experience for their guests. They woke up very early to make sure I had a good breakfast before my very early departure from the home and were very pleasant to talk with. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

    Danielle2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful historic home, and our hosts were warm, friendly, and talkative. They cooked us a fantastic breakfast and told us lots of history about the neighborhood. They also told us about how to use the trolley to Main Street and gave us suggestions on good places to eat and drink. My wife and I had a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

    Brian2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place to stay! The home is lovely and well-maintained, and the hosts are so thoughtful and warm. They struck the perfect balance of being warm and welcoming without intruding on our privacy, and the breakfast was outstanding. They have a cute sign in the dining room that says “May we enter as guests and leave as friends,” and I think that perfectly describes the experience of staying in their BnB. We were completely unaware of any other guests staying at the same time, and yet when we all came together for a wonderful breakfast the next morning, it really made us feel like a family. This is an exceptional value- the price is great, the location is perfect for enjoying historic St.Charles, and the hospitality is unequaled.

    Morgan2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, just blocks from the historic downtown area. Christine was an amazing host. Both of the breakfasts Christine made was the best thing we head to eat in Saint Charles.

    Mike2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect spot to enjoy St. Charles. Close enough to Second St. to walk to the shops, but far enough away to get a peaceful night’s sleep. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. A lovely stay all around.

Built in 1875, the historic property was a private residence for more than half a century before it became a bed and breakfast. Private owners operated the property as The Waterloo Inn for decades before it came on the real estate market in 2018. In February of that year, leaders of Human Support Services (HSS), a 501c3 nonprofit, purchased the Inn with a unique mission – to operate a bed and breakfast where individuals with developmental disabilities could learn, work and pursue independence. With guidance and supervision, HSS clients take the lead in the day-to-day operations of The SeeMore. The Inn is a groundbreaking experience in hospitality, a place where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn, work and thrive. For them, it is an opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. For guests like you, it is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to stay in a place where the staff can’t wait to make your stay memorable.
  • We really enjoyed our stay here! It was such a quaint place, so easy to get to, and very accommodating when we had to come in late from an event. Juli and Linda were both so cheerful and happy to serve, the breakfast was delicious as well. It was wonderful, I'd definitely recommend it! We were the first "official AirBnB guests" but they've already been around a couple years and had happy customers before us!

  • Mary and Jay's home was a great place to spend the weekend. They had everything we needed, especially a hot coffee and filling breakfast each morning. They know the area very well. It is also centrally located, most things were a quick 15 minute drive away. I highly recommend staying with Jay and Mary. I know I will be staying there on my next visit to St. Louis.

    Keith2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Just like the other reviews say, but you have to experience it yourself. Sorry I only stayed one night.

    Joshua2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gold standard for AIRBNB. If every AIRBNB was like this I would never stay in a hotel again except if I was there for a convention. Great hosts, great breakfast, great accommodations, great area. Even though I knew a little bit about 'The Hill', the golf cart tour with Jay was educational, enjoyable, and a great sight seeing experience. As a baseball fan the Yogi Berra artifacts were an added bonus. Would definitely stay there again.

    Tom2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Jay have a real gem of a place. In addition to the historical significance, it’s a gorgeous home that they keep immaculate and comfortable. The neighborhood is charming, and they give great tips about where to eat, etc. The breakfast is also hearty and delicious, with Jay and Mary hanging out for friendly conversation. I hope I get to visit again soon!

  • I had a wonderful time here! Jay and Mary are fantastic hosts, and the room was just right. Breakfast was delicious, and Mary gave great advice about restaurants nearby. It was my first time visiting The Hill, and I’ll definitely be back!

    Vic2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Jay were amazing! Their home was so welcoming and their hospitality was truly sincere. Mary is a lifelong resident of The Hill with deep roots and we were lucky enough to be taken on a tour of the neighborhood in her golf cart. We had an amazing time at Berra's Beginnings and will definitely be back! Spending time with Mary and Jay was an absolute pleasure. Best trip to St. Louis ever!

  • Beautiful, charming home! We stayed one night at Marsha's Corner Cottage, and felt right at home. So much attention to detail in her sweet cottage, we loved it! Marsha was very accommodating to us and made us a wonderful breakfast to enjoy before we checked out. We will definitely return to stay when in the area! Thank you Marsha!

Named for an inspiring quote from Christopher Reeve, this guest room is a great space for quiet reflection. From their perch on the bright blue quilt-covered bed, guests can look out over the property and enjoy the tranquility of a country morning. A pedestal sink in the room adds a unique charm. The room includes a full bed and its own bathroom with combo tub and shower. *Please note that is room is on the upper level and does require guests to climb stairs.
