Bar
“Gorgeous setting on a bend in the River Severn in Shrewsbury opposite the Quarry (Shrewsbury's lovely big park). Lots of seating outside for all types of customers, cocktails for the younger crowd and quiet places for the older people wanted a good quality meal out in a fun place. Can get busy in the summer. Like all good restaurants in Shrewsbury in the evenings, best to book a table in advance.”

“Excellent museum with links to Darwin, as well as hidden away cafe and free exhibition. Architecture alone makes this worth a visit. ”

Town
“"Shrewsbury is full of higgledy-piggledy streets with names you want to say out loud. A river that scoops up the town in a loop. A mix of the very old and the very new. The quirky and the one-off." ”

“Take one of the oldest, most historic half-timbered buildings in Shrewsbury. Give it a beautiful zinc bar bathed in ever changing colours and add a conservatory with elegant chandeliers, framed by stunning iron birdcages.
