“Did you know that 200 years ago, this church was the only building that was constructed in this area? Cismigiu Park, Sala Palatului and other landmarks were not constructed yet and on their place were vineyards.”

Historic Site
“This spectacular glass-covered window was built in 1891 during the most prosperous period in Bucharest - at the Belle Époque (Beautiful Epoque). The passage recalls the bohemian style and was built to encourage street-level commerce. In other words, it was the first mall in Bucharest. Today, the passage hosts a variety of bars and restaurants.”

“The famous 19th century water tower. Beware the boring and minimal museum inside-- only true firefighting history buffs might enjoy it. If the top floor balcony is open for visitors (it often is not), then the view is worth the price of admission!”
