Just booked in Seattle

A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • Great spot if you want to hang in Ballard, and why wouldn't you? Comfortable bed, roomy space, smooth check-in, good price. Recommend.

  • We were in town for a wedding in Ballard and this cottage was in the perfect location. It's quaint, cozy, and quiet so it's perfect if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay. I loved the lush garden surrounding the cottage and even noticed that they were growing grapes! Brad & Liz were very communicative the whole time and made sure they were there for our arrival. Everything was smooth the whole way through. I would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Ballard!

    Jennifer2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was there to meet me and show me around the place and both Brad and Liz were very welcoming. All was as expected. The space was very pleasant and comfortable with the art work providing a very interesting addition to the feel of the space. I was there for a social event in Ballard, and for my purposes the location was great.

    Dale2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Brad and Liz's cottage was perfect. It was clean, warm, comfortable, and they have water, tea and a small fridge which were all very much appreciated. The artwork and sculptures in the cottage were outstanding. Unfortunately we never had the chance to meet Brad or Liz. We were there for a baptism so our days were long and full. I look forward to staying with them again sometime!

  • We enjoyed our stay in Ballard. Brad and Liz were fantastic hosts. The cottage had all the amenities and the property was beautiful. We were able to walk to a couple of different bus stops so we could get around Seattle.

  • The Cottage is a sweet place located in one of Seattle's charming walk-able neighborhoods close to the waterfront, with convenient links to the rest of the city. It is set in a pretty garden, with large windows and french doors to a patio under an arbor. Guests share space with Liz's art, some in progress, but there is room for guests to spread out. The bed is very comfortable and the nights very quiet. The bathroom is small, with a tiny shower, but the towels big and fluffy. We would definitely stay here again.

    Cindy2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Brad and Liz for two nights Nov 1&2, and we could not have been happier! The cottage is Liz' studio, a separate building in back of their home; it's really wonderful, full of her clay sculptures and various assorted works of art. Nice comfy bed, coffee maker, micro and little fridge; all the comforts of home. The location is ideal, on a super quiet residential street in Ballard neighborhood, about 45 blocks north of downtown, and a few blocks from great restaurants, shopping, Crittenden Locks and Shilshole Bay and it's marina. Because it's a separate living area, we only met Brad for a few minutes when we arrived, but he was pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this place; we hope to stay with them on our next trip up to Seattle.

  • This was hands down the most well stocked and well thought out airbnb I've stayed in - Ive literally never felt more home away from home. Anytime I has a need, suddenly what I needed was at my finger tips! Ziploc bags? Yep! Extra toothbrush? Yep! Hair spray? Yep! Hangers, robes, laundry detergent, everything! Not to mentioned the book of menus from *not takeout places* the walking directions, the QVC card, everything was super helpful in addition to being totally darling and well decorated. I don't always say this, but I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

  • Erik + Pamela's cottage was private and secluded, very well equipped and nicely decorated. We would move in if we could. Great area to stay in if visiting Seattle near all the Capitol Hill bars and restaurants. We definitely would stay again!

    Dana2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for a stay in Seattle. Lots of privacy, very clean and had everything you need contained within the apartment. Location was excellent we could walk pretty much everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay here again. • Regina's cottage was my home base during a recent soul-searching trip to Seattle and she couldn't have been more accommodating. I acted too late and missed out on the second night of my stay, so she opened up her second room on a night she usually doesn't rent it out so I wouldn't have to move all my stuff to a new location. I arrived after an 800 mile road trip just in time to attend one of her yoga nidra sessions, which was just what the doctor ordered! She was welcoming and wonderful and definitely made me feel at home. The room itself was adorably outfitted, and while I wasn't home long enough and the weather wasn't nice enough to open up the big doors it was still a nice space. The neighborhood was quiet, pretty and well situated, and it was a short walk up to restaurants on 45th or over to Fremont, and I even walked to Ballard and UW without a problem. I would definitely recommend Regina's place to anyone in the area and I'll definitely be back!

    Misa2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute space in a walkable, residential neighborhood. Regina was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. She was accommodating when my friend came to spend the last night with me and even gave me some candy for Halloween!

    Rebecca2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • A calming space to unwind.

    Jenece2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was very friendly and her guest cottage was indeed very cozy with a fantastic bed. Everything was easy here and our stay was perfect. We found the tea in the main house enjoyable. One note is that the shower may feel cramped for those at six feet tall or above.

    Rick & Val2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Regina's place was darling. Good location close to UW and transportation downtown. And that bed! Omg so comfortable. Highly recommend.

    Sharon2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely place to stay!! Regina made me feel welcomed with everything set for me right when I got in. She even had pistachios and water on the table, which was such a wonderful touch. The room was incredibly cozy and warm. The bed felt luxurious. And she was so accommodating letting me leave my suitcase in a locked room until I flew out very late the next day. I would absolutely stay here again and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at this cottage!

    Danielle2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Regina made me feel immediately welcome, with very flexible arrival schedule and how open and available she was with any concern or question that I may have had, and her kindness throughout my stay made my time here beyond comfortable and calm. The space was absolutely wonderful! From the immaculate condition of the room to the multitude of interesting books to the cozy and private atmosphere, it was a truly relaxing respite. Meanwhile, I was always welcomed into shared spaces generously, and Regina was kind enough to offer a yoga class. The neighborhood was quiet and residential, but within walking distance of several great spots, including amazing views of Seattle as well as some awesome coffee shops. Furthermore, there were several bus lines immediately near by that made transportation to and from any part of the city easy and hassle-free. Overall this stay was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had with Airbnb, and I was genuinely sad to leave. I cannot recommend it enough!

    Melissa2016-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was SO warm and welcoming. I felt very comfortable coming to her house. The cottage is delightful and very convenient to both the bus line and the UW campus. It was exactly has advertised-she even made me breakfast! I did not expect that at all, it was a great touch.

The Sunday market is a must, as is a visit to the many gelato, and ice creams shops. With Golden Gardens beach, the Ballard Locks and the Nordic Heritage museum all close by, there is plenty to see and do.
  • The cottage offers all the comforts and privacy you could ask for. I want that shower in my own house! I loved the Ballard neighborhood and the cottage was walking distance from my son's place. Gray hosts, great location.

  • Lovely self contained cottage in the back yard. We loved the outdoor seating area with the lights. There was also a outside heater and BBQ which we did not have an opportunity to use. The cottage was very comfortable with a great shower and we'll equipped kitchen. We hope to stay again if we get the chance.

  • Bev & Grant's place was very lovely; a very nice and newly renovated space that was comfortable and had all the comforts I expected! I had a nice stay, and would recommend staying here to anyone that wants an affordable place to stay in a great part of Seattle!

  • Wonderful cottage in a very sweet neighborhood! Very clean and well-maintained, and the hosts provided necessary information but were very respectful of our privacy. Perfect place for a getaway!

    Laura2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay at Bed & Grant's cottage. Thanks!

    Derek2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The backyard cottage was wonderful. Well appointed, comfortable and, despite the close proximity to the owners' home, felt very private and secluded. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants made this a wonderful oasis near downtown Ballard.

    Justin2017-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bev and Grant's Ballard Cottage was my first Air BnB stay, and it was fantastic. The cottage is right in the backyard, but it feels very private and secluded. The neighborhood is great, quiet, and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. The place itself is adorable, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much, and Bev and Grant were extremely helpful.

    Nikki2017-07-23T00:00:00Z

An oasis minutes from downtown, this loft guest house is it's own unique space with an open floor plan, tall ceilings with lots of natural light, gas stove, radiant floor heating, and a large patio with hot tub and tranquil gardens. Perfect for work or weekend retreat!
This loft guest house is a unique, tranquil space built by the owner himself. Situated on a large property in Beacon Hill, the space has tall ceilings, lot's of natural light and it's own private garden and hot tub.
Beacon Hill is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Seattle, and just minutes from downtown, and right next to the vibrant neighborhoods of Georgetown and Columbia City.
  • This loft was pretty much the ideal getaway in Seattle. Away from hustle and bustle of downtown, but just a short drive away from amazing restaurants. Malcolm gives several great recommendations for food, the mexican was particularly impressive. The space felt safe, private, and very clean. There are some narrow steeper steps to get down and around in the backyard, which can be difficult w heavy bags. iPod hookup for music. Private back deck is wonderful with a perfect garden view. Beautiful kitchen. Heating system is non direct, takes forever, and didn't seem to get that warm - and we found ourselves pretty chilly getting home from a late night show... Other than this, absolutely no issues. Highly recommended at a fantastic value for the feel of the space.

    Dulce2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm was super helpful, even coming out to help me find the place when my GPS couldn't quite locate it (it was right down the street). The place was beautiful and he made it super easy to get in! The place is beautiful, it was a perfect place for the weekend.

    Molly2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm's property is simply one of the nicest / cleanest accommodations I've ever rented. The fine attention to details, exquisite decor and lovely wine upon arrival really made it a special experience despite the windy rain outside. Highly recommended!

    Astrellita2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm's place is great! The loft is modern and very clean. My wife loved the garden stairs and all the plants. 10/10 would stay again.

    Hunter2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm's place was amazing and served as a great start to our honeymoon. We wish we had stayed longer so we could have utilized the well laid out kitchen. The landscaping and garden area helped create a cozy environment, but the loft still had a modern vibe that we loved. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Seattle area... highly recommended!

    Vincent2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience at an awesome location!

    John2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm's loft was magnificent! The place was very comfortable and we felt right at home. The loft was stocked with everything we could have needed or wanted, up to date features and a unique artistic feel. The hot tub in the garden setting was also such a treat. Malcolm was extremely kind and gave us great suggestions for places to check out while in the city. This was the best place we could have landed in Seattle!

    SEATTLE LOFT GUEST HOUSE
    133 reviews
Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016. When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin for a vacation. His love of lofts started and grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard. The home was designed by Richard Hiner Architects and built by Carl Lind, with CB Construction.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain stores and nearby. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A short 15 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • Such a perfectly cozy way to stay in Seattle and check out the best of Ballard!!

    Pat2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin was extremely welcoming, funny and kind. My boyfriend and I had the best time staying in his adorable "Little House" and in the very walkable hip neighborhood of Ballard. The house was absolutely charming and we wished we could have stayed longer and cozied up. Can't recommend it enough!

    Liz2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house is just as pictured. Modern, light, and comfortable. My husband and I had a great stay. It had everything a hotel would have plus so much more. The bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet at night but a very short walk to coffee and awesome restaurants. Ben was easy to get ahold of and a great host. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Cameron2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet little house in Ballard. It's about a 20 minute bus ride to attractions in the city. Bus stop is just a short walk down the road. Close to some cute shops and good restaurants. Beautifully kept little house! The bed is in a loft with a low ceiling but comfy. Perfect dor our purposes. We could not have been more pleased with our stay!

    Britain2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The space is cozy and wonderful. Benjamin is an outstanding host.

    Geri2017-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and quaint! The cabin had a very homey and comfortable feel, to the point where we just wanted to stay indoors for a whole day! All kitchen amenities as well including a fridge so great for cooks. The bed was very comfortable, very soft, and there's a skylight right above. The hosts respected our privacy very well; they left us alone pretty much the entire stay. A LOT of shower amenities as well. 10/10 recommended

    Jeffrey2017-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This charming little house was the perfect size and location for a couple looking to stay near downtown Seattle. Benjamin went above and beyond to ensure we were well informed and taken care of, welcoming us with snacks and reccomendations on local hotspots. I would 100% reccomend the little house to anyone!

    Heather2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this tiny house! It was perfect for a weekend of exploring Seattle and had even more fun locally in Ballard. The house was beautiful and comfortable for couples, but close quarters for more than two. Hosts were very thoughtful, accommodating, and easy to communicate with.

Foot friendly with lots of community gardens, called p-patches! I am in a neighborhood called the Central District (locals call it 'The CD') between the fantastic local eateries and shops in nearby Capitol Hill and Madrona 'hoods.' Like many US cities, the CD neighborhood has both has million dollar homes as well as a homeless population.
  • Julie is such an amzing hostess. She took the time (even though we were running late) to explain the area that we were staying in as well as in relation to all the tourist attractions of Seattle. The place was exactly what we needed- our "home away from home". You get what you see in the pcitures and more. If you would like to do a "Tourist" trip then know that an Uber drive took us maybe 5 min. and the most we paid to go to the usual attractions was $10. If you would rather walk you can also do that just expect to get to downtaown in about 30 minnutes (downhill). Ladies- no heels for this trip! All in all, Julie and her private guest Apartment was the perfect place to stay. I reccomend her space for all.

    Jessica2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was just perfect! The place is exactly as shown in the pictures, even better I can say, it really deserves the "cozy" attribute. Julie was such a nice host and was very flexible allowing us to accommodate our 3 years old toddler that wasn't planned in the initial reservation. The neighborhood is very quiet and easy to access by car or public transport. Absolutely recommend!

    Marcos2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lucky to grab this place. I just moved to Seattle and the location was a great base for exploring the city. Nice. Clean. Quite.

  • Julie is a wonderful host. The unit is everything as described, located in a very quiet safe neighborhood with easy bus transportation to all the tourist attractions. Julie has written down details on almost everything a tourist needs to know, such as taking the bus, restaurants, places of interest. We loved the unit, private and quint, nicely decorated. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're in Seattle.

  • Had a great stay in Seattle. Julie's guest apartment was nice and located in a great neighborhood. Julie was also very quick and attentive in communicating and made us feel welcomed. Thank you for your hospitality Julie!

  • This is a peaceful neighborhood and public transit very close. From the airport you can take the light rail to Baker Terminal and catch the the 48 to olive street. From there is 3 short blocks.

  • Julie was a great host who went out of her way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. The apartment itself is great - I really appreciated having my own entrance and complete privacy so I could come and go without worrying that I was being a disturbance. This is the perfect location for someone looking to spend some time in Seattle and not wanting to stay in a hotel. I particularly enjoyed walking from the apartment to downtown - it took about 30 minutes. Taking the bus was incredibly simple and quick as well (10 minute bus ride to get downtown). I would come back and stay here for sure!

  • Julie is kind, friendly person. Like at home nice, warm atmosphere, great location. We had all we need to spend a great time in Seattle. Public transportation just a minutes walking distance from the house. Quiet, safe neighborhood.

  • I stayed here with 3 other friends attending a conference, and the apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable. With four of us in there it never felt crowded, since there are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a roomy livingroom and dining area. It's in a great location as well! Linda was very responsive and helpful. Check-in and check-out were pretty easy and went smoothly.

"Picture a perfect summer day, and chances are your thoughts will take you to Alki Beach Park, a long beach strip that runs from Alki Point to Duwamish Head on Elliott Bay. It's a great spot for a 2.5 mile walk any time of year, and in the summer draws joggers, rollerbladers, volleyball players, beachcombers, sunbathers, bicyclists and strollers out to enjoy the sun. The widened path accommodates a lot of folks, and there's plenty of parking along Alki Ave. SW. There are picnic tables, a bathhouse housing an art studio, and a restroom at the south (Alki Point) end of the beach, and there you'll find the monument to the arrival of the first white settlers. The water temperature ranges from 46 to 56 degrees Fahrenheit. The north end of the beach is protected by a bulkhead, and flanked by cottages. The whole beach offers spectacular views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the flotilla of ferries, sailboats, steamships and other craft that ply Puget Sound waters. At a small seawalled square that used to be the site of Luna Park, an amusement park, be sure to stop and see the old 2.5-ton anchor dredged up by the Nor'West Divers Club and secured at the site." • Marian's studio was the perfect place for our brief stay in Seattle. The room was well-appointed, and we were greeted with a very thoughtful welcome basket. The view from our window was incredible! The water taxi made traveling to downtown very easy and fun. Overall, the studio is a very affordable and comfortable option-- I'd recommend it to anyone looking to avoid the hustle and prices of downtown.

5-level, bright & modern loft with 20’ ceilings, views, award-winning green design. All amenities. Room to stretch. Stocked kitchen & pantry. New 50” TV. Lovely master suite. Poker table. Parking. Cable. Great for quiet groups, business & startups, families. ABSOLUTELY NO noise ($250 fine), events, unregistered guests, photo/film shoots or noisy activities. (This is a close, friendly, family-oriented urban community and we're quick to let each other know about disruptions. )
Welcome to my 5-story, built-green Live/Work loft! Please READ CAREFULLY so you can determine if my space is a good fit for your needs. This is a true Seattle urban loft experience unlike any hotel you will find. TO BOOK YOU MUST RESPOND THAT YOU UNDERSTAND MY NOISE POLICIES AND LIST AN ACCURATE NUMBER OF GUESTS. Summer renters, please note there is no AC in this complex (AC is not common in Seattle). Most of my guests love this loft but it's not perfect for everyone! This is a very open, tall, funky, "built green", industrial private residence - the floorboards are recycled MDF, the second bathroom is a "wet room" shower (see below) and I have 5 levels of stairs and spaces. This modern, roomy space is offered exclusively to professionals or *QUIET*, calm, low-impact groups. I love this area because even though it is close to the action, it's still a calm area in a modern, peaceful community. I have ONE COMPACT parking space available for free. Larger vehicles may park in the surrounding neighborhood, usually there is plenty of free parking. I suggest not renting a car and instead using Lyft/Uber, our bus (at our front door!) and our new street car - I can even pre-load a transit pass for you upon request. **** I'm sorry, but my neighbors and I will NOT tolerate any noisy groups or partying in any of the units. (Noise complaints from neighbors will result in a $250 fine.) My suggestion is that you look farther south or north outside the urban density found in Central Seattle and double check with the host about your plans. *** Back to the fun stuff! This loft soars 5 stories tall and the spaces are separated by flights of stairs. The different levels give guests room to have some space of their own for sleeping, the large & open living area has a big 50" TV and room to gather for meals and games. NOTE: What is listed by Airbnb's system as a "3rd bedroom" is a second COMMON AREA. It is separated by staircases from the 1st floor and the 3rd floor. It also contains the poker table and the computer on the same floor. This floor may also be easily converted to a working office space as seen in photo #15. The 5th floor bathroom (en suite to the master) is the large bathroom shown in the photos. The 4th floor bathroom is a "WET ROOM" bathroom - essentially the shower is not separate so the whole room becomes a shower! Wet rooms are a contemporary trend here in Seattle and might be familiar to people who travel to high density areas. This Loft is great for: * Business travelers who want space to work or relax * Quiet groups and families - (again, no parties or non-residential noises) * Fans who want to attend games at Safeco or CenturyLink Fields I'll meet you at the loft when you arrive at 3pm and give you a tour and your key. You may park at the dedicated compact spot in the courtyard of our building (watch out for little kids!) If you have a larger group, let me know how many singles / double you have so I can make up your extra beds as needed. Cleanliness is something I take very seriously. The unit is professionally cleaned and inspected by me after each guest checks out. Amenities include: * Up to 7 beds so you can sleep separately * 50" TV set w/cable * Apple TV * Comfy mattress toppers, linens and pillows * Poker table / Pop-a-shot basketball * 1 dedicated COMPACT parking space * Pantry stocked with goodies and lots of coffee & tea options * Lovely master, en suite with soaking tub and separate shower * 2200 sq feet (670 sq meters) of living space * Washer/dryer/dishwasher and detergents * Modern green design, recycled floorboards, solar heating * 20’ ceilings and tall, bright windows * Bus access directly out front (#27) * Apple Computer and printer * Indoor bike storage and bicycle pump * Rice cooker * Clean pack & play cot for your wee one The layout at a glance: * Floor 1: Entrance, game room, bathroom * Floor 2: Landing area with 1 twin bed, poker table * Floor 3: Large living space and open kitchen, 1 convertible sofa & 1 cot (both with comfy mattresses) * Floor 4: Bedroom with 1 full & 1 twin bed, wet room shower/bathroom * Floor 5: Master suite with queen, en suite full bathroom + cot available Across the street is Pratt Park - with covered meeting areas for functions, picnic tables with BBQ grills or just to hang out at the playground. In the summer there is a little water play feature for the kids. PRICING: You’ll notice there is a base price and an additional price per person after 4 people. Please take the time to review the cost breakdowns so you understand the pricing of this unit. My calendar of availability is automatically up to date, so feel free to use Instant Book (unless you have questions, which I welcome). ********** After you book, please let me know that you have read and understand my noise policies and house rules. Please take a few moments and give me a sense of the purpose of your trip and who you are traveling with. Ensure that you have booked for the correct number of travelers. Please include an ETA if you have one. Bonus kharma for reading this far! Thanks! **********
We are located on 19th & Yesler Way in Seattle. The neighborhood is right outside of downtown and a short ride to the sights. The new First Hill Streetcar connects us to downtown and Capitol Hill is 5 blocks down Yesler hill. The area offers bus or Uber access to downtown (~ 1 mile or 14 blocks) to Pioneer Square), the Mariner's Safeco Stadium (~ 2 miles) and Seahawks Century Link Stadium. This loft ~10 blocks or so (w/hills!) downtown in an active, urban, residential setting with neighborhoods (and unlike downtown: free parking!) surrounding us. Grab some coffee at the Broadcast Coffee (one block east). You can hop the streetcar over to the international district for hand-made dumplings and noodles or head to Capitol Hill for crispy chicken sandwiches with Bacon Jam. (Did I mention that we are food-obsessed?)
  • Spacious and fun!

  • Unique loft style place. Jessie was a great host.

    Gautam2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie is a fantastic host. Her home is such a cool space and although not really "walking" distance from places, a short Lyft ride away! We had a lot of fun playing basketball during the day when we were waiting for our rides and enjoyed the open space we had to interact with each other as we were such a large group. The poker table is a big plus, we got some rounds of Mafia and Exploding Kittens in :) If you've got a big group, I would recommend Jessie's place!

    Crystal2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment, in a great location for visiting Capitol Hill and Downtown. Jessie was an incredibly welcoming host.

    Sheraz2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie is great. She is one of the best hosts I've had anywhere around the world so far. Her home is quirky and cool, and sleeps lots of people. Although the place doesn't offer great privacy for each person staying there, with just one bedroom, it feels spacious and is a great option for groups that like being together. A perfect option for travelers that are on a budget and want a cool place to stay.

    Keith2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie was so awesome! She was a great host, super easy to communicate with, her place was amazing, she went above and beyond for the group and I'd definitely book again. Thanks for everything Jessie :)

    Adena2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie's place is modern, funky, & cool with plenty of space for my 7 girlfriends and me to spread out for the night. I didn't actually meet Jessie as one of my friends arrived before the rest of us and received the tour but our communication was excellent & she was very helpful with transportation and suggestions of things to do in and around the neighborhood. Our stay was great.

    Amy 2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie was very nice and responsive. There was a miscommunication and she thought we were arriving a day later than we were, but she was able to quickly contact the cleaning crew and we could check in only three hours later (and she refunded us our cleaning fee). The parking lot is VERY tight - be warned that only a tiny car will fit. The house itself is as described. Some of the beds are cots placed in the living room, but they are comfortable and warm. Overall, the place was convenient and clean. Thank you for the cookies, Jessie!

  • A great place. The host is awesome.

  • Greg's place is really nice and cozy, we can tell he put a lot of thoughts and ideas to make the place a awesome one. 5 of us had a really great time there. House is nice, clean and ready for us when we get there. The location is great, you can get to most places easily with bus. Highly recommended!

    Hao2014-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described! Perfect little place for our marathon crew. Great access to downtown and most attractions, and a quick walk to a bus stop for transportation. We had a car for part of the trip, and had zero trouble finding parking along the street. Greg was great to work with, and accommodated our needs.

    Trevor2014-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Greg's place. It had everything we needed and the giant closet came in handy for keeping things out of each others' way. Greg was a friendly but unobtrusive host. We didn't get a chance to use the Cascades-style fire pit, but it looked great! We would definitely stay there again if our path takes us to Seattle in the future.

    Jennifer2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and four others rented Greg's place for a week long stay. The apartment was perfect for us! Everything was clean and looked like new, we loved having a kitchen to store leftovers or even make a meal like we were home, and we all had plenty of room. The apartment is so quaint and very quiet we had a great night sleep every night! Due to our groups busy schedule we never had the chance to meet Greg, but he took steps to ensure that we had everything we needed and so we were not reliant on making our schedules match up. He made sure to give us all his contact info in case we needed anything or had questions, along with a great breakdown of where everything was in the place. He went so far as to leave town maps, food suggestions, info on which buses to take to downtown (which took maybe 10 minutes to get to), a helpful app that made using the transit a breeze, even access to his Netflix account via the Roku! Essentially I'm saying that if you need a place to stay in Seattle, Greg's place should be at the top of your list. Each person in the party I was with said that they would stay there again no questions asked! We all look forward to having another chance to visit Seattle and stay with Greg!

    Tiffany2013-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying here. I stayed with a few work friends while we were in town for a work conference. The house was comfortable and well equipped. Our favorite aspect was the front deck with a grill and a fire pit. We grilled out twice during our stay and made a fire one night. Greg was extraordinarily accommodating and even made a trip to buy more firewood so we wouldn't have to carry firewood back by foot from the store. I highly recommend staying here.

    Kyle2013-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Greg's house. The apartment suited our group of 5 perfectly. Thanks for having us Greg!

  • We stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very sunny and relaxing place. The bed was comfortable. It was very clean and fresh smelling. The gardens were beautiful, and the hottub was a treat. The host was friendly and offered directions to local places to dine and things to do. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would not have traded it for a hotel.

  • Julie was such a great hostess! She even offered to pick us up from the light rail since we arrived late at night! The cottage was beautiful, clean, and in a great location for nearby activities as well as access to downtown. We only wish we could've stayed longer!

    Michelle2013-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • I am a return guest at Julie's cottage and plan to return again. It is bright, cozy and extremely clean, with all the amenities one could need. I highly recommend it.

  • My wife and I were looking to stay in a relaxed spot in an up-and-coming neighborhood and we hit the jackpot with Julie's cottage. Very clean, quiet, with peaceful vibes and a fantastic garden with several visiting bird species and a lovely view up the hill at night whilst sitting in the hot tub. Everything you need in the little kitchen, and a cute little porch overlooking the garden for breakfast! Walking distance to all the local-owned restaurants and pubs. Also walking distance to a lakeside trail and the old-growth forest in Seward Park which is perfect for a nice walk, hike, bird-watching, nature center. It's a quick drive right into downtown Seattle. Columbia City is a diverse and buzzing little community and Julie's cottage couldn't be in a better spot. We will definitely stay here again.

  • Very nice place and within a few minutes drive of the downtown area. Came to town to watch my fiancé do the Rock and Roll marathon. He loved having the hot tub to come back to! We loved the cat - who seemed to be waiting in front of the door every time we opened it, waiting for a head scratch! Overall, a very good first time experience with airbnb

    Tessa 2012-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was as described. Just the feeling of never have left home. I would come back & experience it all over again.

    AMANDA2012-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here right after our wedding - it was a little piece of heaven. Very quiet, clean, smells great, and great hot tub. We would walk to breakfast just 10 min away. We got some much needed R&R.

Quiet, comfortable and luxuriously furnished 2 bedroom apartment with fantastic views in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Spacious bathroom with large soaking tub and extra large shower. Serene setting with beautiful gardens. Private patio and entrance.
Newer apt in 1910 Queen Anne home. There is plenty of closet and bureau space as it is not a full time residence. Full horizon views of the Olympic Mountains, and great views of Puget Sound and Shilshole Marina - watch ferries and cruise ships. Queen Anne is a picturesque neighborhood of older homes and gorgeous gardens with many parks. Our house is perched above a winding walkway, allowing stellar views. Most guests prefer to enter via the back garden - this is also the best way to get to Macrina's Bakery and the bus stops. There is a foyer area for coats and Olympics view seating - with large windows it's almost like being outdoors. The patio seating is also covered, which makes it more comfortable in inclement weather. There is a second patio below in the garden. There are 2 bedrooms: one has a queen bed, the other a vintage double. We also have a foldable twin than can be put away during the day - this is only available on request prior to arrival if you have 4 or 5 people in your party. Perfect for a family, or 2 friends who need a bit of private space. Including the front foyer there is approximately 850 sq ft of living space. We are 1/2 block to bus line #1 for downtown Seattle via lower Queen Anne (10 minutes ride) or 3 blocks to bus #2 for the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Easy block walk to a local coffee shop, 2 blocks to Rhinestone Rosie's vintage jewelry or the Macrina Bakery, and 9 blocks to restaurants and shops on Queen Anne Ave. We are close to several parks with great views and amenities, such as Magnolia Boulevard and Kerry Park. There is also quick and easy access to 15th Ave W - gateway to the vibrant Ballard neighborhood. The bathroom is ultra roomy, with both a large soaking tub and shower with a seating bench - both accommodate 2 people. We provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and towels are the plush Hotel brand. Linens are refreshed every 6 nights or as requested. Adirondack chairs are on your private patio and entrance, where you can enjoy the sunset over the Olympic Mountains with a glass of wine. There is no TV, but many amazing books! Great restaurants are nearby on Queen Anne Ave. The apartment kitchen is well stocked with cookware, a dishwasher, spices, teas, french press and local Starbucks coffee. It is just a 3 block walk to local Ken's Market. Continental Breakfast provided for the first morning, as well as a variety of snacks and desserts. There are plenty of itinerary ideas gathered in a binder, including theater, nightlife venues, neighborhoods and restaurants. For out the door activities, nothing can beat walking around the original Olmsted Boulevard that circles the top of Queen Anne. There is also a nearby public tennis court. We provide lots of local advice to make your stay here adventurous and hassle free. Reliable wireless internet. Street parking is free and plentiful, available on the next street if not right in front. We do have cats in the upper apartment, so no visiting pets, please. Please have a photo, phone number and social media connection verified by Airbnb for booking. Our house is not suitable for children under 6, and please be aware the apartment is not child proof. Thank you!
Safe, quiet, beautiful gardens and parks. Close to downtown, with easy access to adjacent Ballard, Fremont and Wallingford neighborhoods.
  • The accommodations were only exceeded by the exceptional care from Catherine, our host. Communication was excellent prior to arrival, with Catherine asking if we had any dietary preferences or allergies. Upon arrival, the house was adorned with fresh flowers in both bedrooms and in the kitchen. Also, there were fresh bagels, juice, milk, fruit from their own organic garden, and jellies and jams made by our host in the fridge. The view was beyond belief as was the soaking tub in the absolutely gorgeous bathroom. Beds were super comfortable, everything imaginable was in the kitchen, and there were brochures and guidebooks that were very helpful in deciding how we wanted to spend our time in Seattle. Catherine was even so thoughtful as to write a handwritten welcome note, inviting us to pick fresh fruit from their trees, and listed 3 of their current favorite restaurants, one of which we tried the night of our arrival, called Monsoon, which had the freshest and most flavorful fish ever!! Catherine, we can't thank you enough for our home away from home, and send you every blessing!

  • My host was excellent and provided coffee beans, a grinder and French press, as well as numerous "treats", fruit, and milk. She changed the sheets on the third day and left helpful information on restaurants and things to do. She was accommodating with a schedule change I needed. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a water view from the living area. The bathroom is HUGE and has a very large tub, perfect for soaking after a hike! The entrance is up a ramp and some stairs from the street, so it may not be a good place for someone who has challenges walking.

  • Catherine is very welcoming host. She responded to my messages very quickly, asked me in advance where I’d like to go & what to see in Seattle and prepared 2 folders with recommendations about restaurants, farmer’s markets and different flyers and maps with sights and bus routes. She met me upon arrival, helped me with a really heavy baggage and seeing all my stuffs even suggested me her suitcase upon departure. Catherine’s house is located on the North of Queen Anne District. This is very beautiful residential area with plenty of restaurants, cafes, nice little shops and wonderful houses buried in verdue and flowers. I highly recommend to live here during your vacation in Seattle if you’re going to spend more than 2-3 days there. Catherine’s house is located within easy walking distance of a few bus lines to Downtown of Seattle, Fremont and Ballard. Catherine recommended me farmer’s markets in Ballard and Queen Anne. Go there for buying fresh fruits, vegetables, garden flowers, grabbing a lunch in a pleasant atmosphere. Ask Catherine about all that interesting places and routes, she’s really ready to help you. Catherine’s house is surrounded by flowers. Apartment is located a little bit in shade. It’s clean, with great view from the porch and huge windows of living room. It has fully equipped kitchen (necessary tableware, refrigerator, plate, microwave, coffee press) and big bathroom (with towels and toiletries). Catherine provided me with food for a breakfast (muffins, bread and jam, milk, yoghurts, juice, coffee, tea etc.), fresh fruits, snacks and kindly suggested me to help with delivering my purchases from supermarket. I liked my staying in Catherine’s apartment and hope to return here again.

    Lyudmila2013-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was lovely and the view was as gorgeous as advertised. Catherine left a well-stocked kitchen. The check-in process was simple and easy.

    Katherine2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was a convenient location on Queen Anne with some great retail and restaurants within 1-2 miles. The view from the kitchen and living room was beautiful and the climb to the front door was beautifully landscaped. Catherine paid attention to the details in the kitchen leaving me with coffee beans, snacks, desserts and breakfast items in the refrig. She also accommodated my request for heavy cream for my morning coffee - I thought this was great! The bathroom is huge and nicely furnished. The 2 bedrooms are adequate - I thought the pillows could be upgraded (fortunately I brought my own pillow) and maybe the linens as well. You can hear the owners upstairs, walking around and sliding chairs, but that wasn't really a huge issue for me. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

    Cherie2014-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute place with amazing views. My son and I each had our own room and the bathroom was wonderful. Catherine was such a great host. She made sure we had everything we needed and even had some bagels and muffins there for us in the morning. There is a wonderful bakery and grocery store nearby and a few breakfast places walking distance to the apartment which was nice. Really loved the neighborhood and the apartment. If you are sensitive to cats this may not be the place for you however.

    Janet2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • My first trip to Seattle and it could not have been more perfect. Catherine's home felt like staying with friends. The apartment is spacious, well located and very comfortable. Catherine's personal touches were truly appreciated-from the local recommendations (shopping/restaurants) to the delicious fruits, baked treats, tea/coffee, homemade jams and chutneys in the fridge. She is a generous and thoughtful host. The views from the apartment are lovely and I did not find parking a problem. I will be back.

    Danielle2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to stay before or after a cruise, Catherine’s place has the advantage of being only 5 minutes from Pier 91. I spent the night before My wife and her mother’s return from their cruise. You can even see the ships dock from there. Very roomy, clean and comfortable. Catherine was the perfect host.

  • Loved my stay. Optimal location. Super clean and cozy.

  • Peter was a fantastic host! The place is clean, secure and in a great location to walk to Downtown Seattle restaurants and sights. The unit does not have AC (as mentioned in the listing). It was warm the week we were there so we opened the windows at night and the heavy traffic below was a bit noisy. Still, our stay was very comfortable. We would defiitely recommend his place to our family and friends.

    Leigh2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The good - great location, about an 8-minute walk to Pike place and 10-15 to the Space needle. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. There is an office building across the street which means privacy on a weekend. The host (and his management company?) were very responsive leading up to the trip. The not-so good: Emailed our host after our first night that we couldn't get the heat to work. Someone from the management company responded they were checking with the host and then nothing. Which made for two more chilly nights. There was no microwave in the apt - which is probably noted in the description but I just assumed there would be one. So heating up leftovers was tricky - and especially since the range didn't work either. And nor were there any pans (other than fry pans) to reheat soup. Also no cups - while there was a coffee maker. No dining table or bar stools (again per the listing pictures) ... but would have been nice to have some. And the kicker was not having an extra roll of toilet paper (other than the half on the dispenser). Thankfully we caught that in time to pick up a roll at a convenience store. Just wish the host would have taken care of these big and little things which would have made for a really super stay! And finally the elevator was out (and the apt was on the 5th floor). There was another freight elevator that the building manager did show us to on our arrival (with luggage!). Just was more convoluted to get to and back ... so we used the stairs ... up 5 floors! Not to blame the host for this ... stuff happens ... and it was a weekend so didn't get fixed.

  • Nice apartment close to centre. Everything walkable, nice place and would recommend. Can be a bit loud next to road but wasn’t a problem for us.

  • Location is fantastic, a couple minute walk to Pier 66 and Pike Place. The apartment was very clean. There is no AC, which is listed in the description, but the location has fairly heavy traffic so be prepared for added noise.

    Christine2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is super cute and exactly where you want to be when exploring Seattle! We walked everywhere. No need for a car or uber. Easy access to the pier, The Wheel, the aquarium, and the market!

Location ! Downtown & Pike Pl Market: 20-30 minute walk; Capitol Hill is a 10-15 minutes walk. Comfortable home on tree lined side street of Pike/Pine. Multitude of cafes, bars, and the best book store in Seattle. Also see our Bedroom #1.
We are in a 'workers' Victorian house built in 1900 located a 20-30 minute walk directly east of Downtown on a tree-lined residential street. This private bedroom has a queen bed. The bath is adjacent and is shared if the other room is occupied.
We've watched as our 'hood (Pike/Pine) has become a mecca for food, drink, and art. We have nationally recognized restaurants and bars (as well as numerous food trucks) within blocks. Music venues, and theaters allow for an exciting night life. Many coffee houses, interesting retail, and the best book store in Seattle keep the days interesting. The Seattle International Film Festival and the NW Film Forum both have local theaters with daily showings of indie films. We also have Central Co-op, a great place to shop for local and organic foods. Our neighborhood has a great diversity of people. Capitol Hill (just north of Pike/Pine) has been the city's gayborhood for years; Pike/Pine has been home to many of Seattle's arts community, visual, dance, theater; and Seattle University is just two blocks away. We live on a side street of homes from the early 1900's with several older brick apartment buildings mixed in. Its relaxed and low-key, a great place to walk and wander.
  • This was our second stay, and once again, we had just a wonderful, calming time at the end of our driving vacation. An oasis!

  • I had a great time on this trip! Kevin and Louis were super friendly and helpful - they gave me a map as soon as I arrived and had plenty of suggestions for things to do, places to go, etc. The house was very comfortable, the neighborhood was within easy walking distance of downtown, and I always felt safe coming and going. I spent a lot of time sightseeing, but it was also peaceful enough for me to work (telecommute) when I needed to. Would definitely recommend!

    Katherine2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Louis&Kevins place. Immaculate bedroom and bathroom, fast internet, parking, $5 Uber rides downtown...very helpful and friendly.

    Gert2016-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say about my experience staying at Louis and Kevin's place... Nothing short of amazing in every way. Their house is charming, warm and inviting, I felt like I was home... The room was perfectly appointed and comfortable. They thought of everything you might need to make your stay perfect. The location is the BEST and the neighborhood is adorable. Highly recommend this beautiful cozy home! Thank you so much Louis and Kevin!

    Jenni2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Louis and Kevin are both very nice, always can rely on their fast replies if you have any questions. Louis was very informative about where to go, what to see and etc. Great suggestions! Very cozy and unique place. Nice walking distance to the business commercial area. Definitely will stay here next time if I visit the area again.

    Sally2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend Louis and Kevin's place. It is in a central location in Capitol Hill, which is an exciting neighborhood to explore. It is also a short 20-30 minute walk from Downtown. Their house was warm and inviting...they had a warm fire at night when I came back from exploring. My hosts were wonderful about recommendations on places to visit. Forgo getting a rental car, take the light rail and pretend to live like a local.

    Lisa2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing place to stay. Warm and friendly host with a cozy house in a great neighborhood. Walking distance to some great restaurants and dt. Will definitely book again!

  • This was my first time using Airbnb and I am happy to say I had a great experience. Louis and Kevin were very responsive and accommodating to our arrival time, which I'm very grateful for, and their hospitality was just right-- offering to help with any questions we may have about our visit and also making us feel very comfortable to be around the house enjoying our morning coffee before taking off. The house was extremely clean and perks like extra toiletry and free coffee in the morning were really helpful and generous. Our stay was very satisfactory that if I were to visit Seattle again, I'd want to stay at their place.

Centrally located top floor studio- walking dist to everything(!), close to Convention Center & easy access to any part of town. Beyond the basics amenities - perfect for business or pleasure. Easy 24hr check in, parking available for $10/night.
This is a top floor corner unit in an old world charm building. Please note there is NO ELEVATOR. I have a fully stocked kitchen if you feel like making a meal. Bathroom has your basics such as body wash, shampoo & conditioner as well as a few extras like a flat iron, hair dryer, and some styling products. Forgot something? Toothbrush? Toothpaste? Dental floss? Q-tips? Razor? Don't worry I got you covered! Please note that this is an older building with hardwood floors in the middle of the most lively neighborhood in town. If you need absolute silence to enjoy your stay this is not a good fit. There is always some level of noise depending on what time of the year or day of the week you come. Whether it's from the neighbors grilling out back (feel free to make friends!), a block party or just the regular weekend crowd enjoying the nightlife. If you are a light sleeper you may want to pack some earplugs. Promoting the local community and artisans that make this city great is really important to me - help me support our local artists & businesses. All of the art you see on the walls is by a local artist and friend. I also partner with local craftsmen to promote their work - need gift giving ideas anyone? Tea selection is from our local loose leaf organic tea shop just down the street - please visit their store and bring some home with you!
I'm a leasing agent in Seattle and Cap Hill is my favorite neighborhood! It's diverse and eclectic - we have all kinds of folks from all walks of life living here. From artsy creative types to high tech. This is a lively and thriving neighborhood not for the faint of heart. There is always something to do, a show to see, a new restaurant to try, or a festival to attend. This is also Seattle's 'gayborhood' - if being surrounded by rainbow hair, glitter & feather boas doesn't sound like your cup of tea this may not be the place for you. We welcome everyone here but we expect those who come visit our neighborhood to respect our community. The apartment is near everything - you can walk to the grocery store, coffee shops, boutiques, yoga studio, tons of restaurants and anything else you might be interested. Looking for something specific? Just ask - I'd be happy to point you in the right direction!
  • Elena and AJ's place in Capitol Hill was an excellent stay. The unit was very close to a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The unit itself was cozy and had all the amenities, which was great. They even included a handy guide to help aid us with things to do. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

    Rachel2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Elena was easy to communicate with and everything we needed was taken care of. The studio was exactly what we needed since we did not want to spend too much time indoors, and wanted to explore the city and visit with friends as much as possible. Access to shops, bars, restaurants, and transit was amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend a stay here!

    Chris2016-12-29T00:00:00Z

  • Elena is truly a superstar host. Her place is stocked full of everything you might need and even things you never thought you would need! We felt so comfortable staying and really appreciated her creative touches with supplies from local artists and businesses. Location is in the heart of Capitol Hill which is a convenient, central location to just about everything in Seattle. Perfect for everything we wanted to do during our stay. Would 100% stay again. Thank you Elena!

  • Had a great trip at this well equipped studio apartment in capital hill. I was in town for a conference and the unit was well situated with all ammenities easily accessible. Melissa2014-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved this little studio. The area is so cute and quiet and my boyfriend and I felt quite comfortable and at home here. We had several delays on our flight out and Marcus was so understanding and helpful despite the inconvenience. Once we got here, he happily talked us through everything and explained the area. I was a little nervous about using this app as I had never personally used it before but Marcus really made a great impression and I am so happy I chose to stay here. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting seattle!

  • This was our first time in Seattle and definitely not our last! Marcus and Lara's place is a gem and a great find. Location is amazing! It was walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and coffee shops to name a few. Their place was very cozy and filled with endless guides to tour Seattle. Marcus was a great host. He was easy to communicate with and was very helpful in giving us suggestions on places to go and eat. Would definitely come back and rent their place when we return to Seattle. Thanks again!

  • This was a great first time using AirBNB. Marcus was very nice and provided great recommendations for places to eat. The bungalow was very nice and clean. We were very pleased.

  • I absolutely loved staying here! The location is very convenient to downtown Seattle, yet still feels "secluded" with its own structure and private parking off the alley. I will be staying here again in a couple weeks and I genuinely look forward to it!

A historic and unusually unique two level view apartment, best location in Seattle to get to downtown, ferry terminal, Kerry park (one block), shops and restaurants in one of the most famous neighborhoods on the West Coast.
Welcome to the Queen Anne Hideaway. Your home away from home is a two level unit in an incredible vintage Queen Anne landmark home. Your apartment has been beautifully furnished, luxury beds with feather toppers, view decks, and all the details you need to make your stay perfect. Our apartment has two official bedroom (walls not shared) with one queen bed and one king. An additional sleeping nook has two twin beds perfect for kids or additional guests. The kitchen is stocked for all your cooking needs. You will find all the condiments and extras on hand necessary, including coffee and creamer (priority uno). We will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable at a price that makes it affordable to visit Seattle again in the future. Many of you like the ability to check in early, which is possible when the guests prior text me to say they have vacated (often guests leave before the 11AM check out time which allows me to get a early start on the cleaning).
We are 2 blocks away from the famous 'Frasier' view. The top of Queen Anne is an historic and very walkable area. There are great views from multiple lookouts, the most incredible homes to gawk at, bars, cafes, bookstores, salons, tea shops, and eateries to keep you busy. Oh, and did I mention Trader Joe's and the cheapest cheese on the planet? Got kids? That's fine by us, just let us know if we need to break out the high chair and packinplay. You can easily walk downtown, waterfront, and pikes place if you are able bodied.
  • If your using public transport and want to be just a little ways from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle, this place is exactly what your looking for. Bus stop just outside the door that takes you anywhere in the city. Stops about every 30 minutes but you can access up to date info on a transport app to your phone. The beds here are comfortable and there is plenty of pace for a family of 4. Host are not intrusive and helpful.

  • Paige was very informative during the entire process. She sent us a detailed description of the area and local amenities. We absolutely LOVED her place! The beds were extremely comfortable (we ended up sleeping way past our alarms). The decor was adorable. We ended up hanging out on the back patio with wine and cheese for an hour before exploring the city. We saw Paige and her family in passing and she was extremely nice, recommending different restaurants and areas of Seattle! Everything was very clean, plenty of towels, dishes, etc. Just up the street there are plenty of good restaurants and a Trader Joes. Parking is also very easy to find here.

  • A very friendly host who reassured us when we were unfamiliar with the Queen Anne area of Seattle. A "Hello" sign that made us feel welcome into a homey two bedroom basement apartment. My sister said she slept all night and so did I in super comfy beds. You will love this place!

    Vendalyn2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Paige's basement apartment in Queen-Ann. Even though the apt was located on a lower level,it did not have a basement feel at all. It was well lit, felt very bright and still managed to get enough light in during the day. Her beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, and Paige gave us great recommendations for things to do in the Seattle area. Paige's place was also walking distance to a great ice cream shop, coffee shop and pizza place with great late night happy hour. Overall, we had an incredible stay.

    arlene2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • I have nothing but great things to say about our stay at Paige's beautiful apartment! We arrived in Seattle early in the morning after driving overnight from San Francisco, but Paige was so welcoming and graciously accommodated our very early check-in. She provided excellent directions to the house and clear instructions for how to access the unit. The apartment itself is gorgeous! Its garden entrance is very private and the interior is spacious, bright, and inviting. Paige has awesome taste in home decor - you will find yourself taking pictures (or mental notes) of all of the furnishings so that you can replicate it in your own home. Overall, it was a wonderful time in Seattle thanks to Paige's hospitality and beautiful apartment. We will definitely be back to the Queen Anne Hideaway!

  • Great experience. Easy to access

    Henry2014-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Seattle! The Queen Anne location is ideal to get south to downtown or north to Freemont/Ballard areas. Walking distance to really great coffee, donut and ice cream shops! Bus stop right outside the house and plenty of off-street parking available. Really nice basement apartment with comfy chairs, couch, beds and linens! Paige was really easy to communicate with and takes great care of this place. She even catered to our needs that we had with our baby traveling with us. Highly recommend!!

    Matt2015-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This house is just like the picture, and the location is great, just nearby the Kerry Park. Paige is a great host and offered us lots of useful information. Defenitely will choose this place next time~~~

This is a beautiful and spacious one bedroom apartment with an amazing view of the Space Needle from the bedroom. At the bottom of Queen Anne's sought after West slope; is my charming Uptown apartment. The building was originally built in 1898, has been has been updated with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. This kitchen has a full size oven, glass top stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a washer/dryer in the unit. This apartment is on the second floor and has a South facing front door and is bright with a lovely cross breeze when with open windows. The apartment comes with wireless internet, flat screen t.v and a Bluetooth radio/stereo and DVD player. The living room couch folds open into a bed for two. From the bedroom windows you can view the lovely Space Needle. The bedroom has vaulted ceiling and a ceiling fan, a queen sized bed, Iphone docking clock radio two side tables with drawers, long closet with and luggage rack. We have limited parking, for compact cars only. Please check availability with me when you are booking. Parking, when available, is $5 per day. We are just one and half blocks to Key area, The Seattle Center. We're a perfect location for the Storm Games and The Key's concerts, Pacific NW Ballet and the Seattle Opera at McCaw Hall. And an easy walk to SAM Olympic Sculpture Park and many unique shops and restaurants. Just a 5 minute bus ride to the Pike Place Market and Downtown and five more minutes to the SODO neighborhood and the Mariner's Baseball , Sounders Soccer and Seahawk's football games as well as historic Pioneer Square and the Seattle Waterfront. We are right on several bus lines and just a short walk to the monorail West Lake Mall and a quick ride connecting to the new light rail to SeaTac airport. Because this apartment is in the city and is so close to the Seattle Center, you will naturally hear some street noise. I have lived here for almost ten years and I have renters that have lived in the building for many years so the city sounds hasn't made much of an impact however if you are sensitive to noise you may wish to look for a listing further out of the downtown area. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, I am happy to answer any questions you might have. Thank you for taking the time to read my listing.
We are located in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood also known as the Uptown neighborhood. This is a vibrant neighborhood with the Seattle Center and lots of access to live theater, playhouses, dance, opera, the Seattle International Film Festival, Teatro Zanzanni (a marvelous restaurant and cabaret), and there is Bumbershoot and Folk Live festivals. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, lounges, stores and lots of entertainment, this is a busy neighborhood. On the top of Queen Anne hill you will find a charming few blocks of restaurants and stores on Queen Anne Avenue the rest of the hill is mostly residential homes and apartments. One of the best views of Seattle is from Kerry Park on Highland Drive heading up the hill on Queen Anne Avenue. The lower part of Queen Anne is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. One of the best parts about living in this neighborhood is how easy it is to walk to just about anything you are interested in.
  • Our short stay went very well. Our host provides every thing you need. I love the special touches like the pastries she leaves for your arrival.

    Debra2015-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a terrific location, walkable to anything in the Seattle Center district! The apartment is super clean and nicely decorated, looks just like the pictures.

    Tamara2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Serina's apartment in Seattle. The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed with extra amenities including a Keurig coffee/tea maker, toiletries and even pastries for breakfast. Serina met us when we arrived so check in was easy. The neighborhood was very walkable to lots of restaurants and bars and basically across the street from the Seattle Center (where the Space Needle and some museums are located). I would consider staying again if ever back in Seattle!

    Amy2013-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Serina was a great host, and we loved the apartment! The location is fantastic (it's so close to the Space Needle and to the Key Arena, which is perfect for seeing a show and walking "home"), the view out the bedroom window is gorgeous, and the amenities in the apartment were very thoughtful. We'd love to stay here again!

    Brianne2013-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything during our stay was great. The location was perfect to easily get downtown or further uptown. We could walk to Queen Anne and easily access stores. Having an awesome view of the Space Needle was definitely a bonus. Everything was clean and in working order while we stayed and Serina was easy to contact with questions. Also the parking space was convenient.

    Jared2014-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed in Serina's lovely Seattle apartment while we were in the area for a wedding. Upon our arrival, Serina met us at our door and showed us into our apartment. Serina was very friendly during our brief visit. She asked if we needed anything before she left and reminded us that she was in the same building if anything came up. She also provided some delicious pastries from a local bakery as a small token of appreciation. Our stay was fantastic and we greatly enjoyed the apartment. Serina has all the basic amenities that a guest could need, including silverware, ice trays, an ironing board and iron, and basic toiletries. The apartment was centrally located for what we had planned during our time in Seattle. Both my partner and I greatly enjoyed our stay and we would readily stay with Serina again next time we're in the area.

    Gregory2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Serina was super accommodating with our earlier check in time and was very responsive to any questions or requests we had prior to our arrival. Overall a great place to stay at a central location!

    Glara2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in unit #9 for 3 night. The apartment was really clean and the bedroom has a great view of the space needle. Unfortunately, Serina was out of town, we had a little difficulty finding the parking and getting the permit. It was solved the second day. The first night of our stay, the AC was very noisy, we did not used it in the following days. The 90 degree high temperature is not normal in Seattle. Over all, it was a nice apartment in a good location.

  • Our stay at Varun's place was very comfortable and we enjoyed it a lot. The house is recently build, so everything is fresh. When we arrived the house was clean and well equipped, also the TV with XBox and Netflix was great addition.

  • This is a comfortable home in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Jennifer2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Varun's house was a great home-base for our weekend in Seattle! The spacious house has plenty of places for people to sleep, so it was perfect for our larger group. The neighborhood is cute, and there are stores within walking distance. Varun gave very detailed instructions and was super quick to reply when I had questions. Definitely recommend!

    Allie2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is in a great location - close to all the fun restaurants/bars in the Ballard area and easy for Ubers to get to (from Downtown Seattle). House was extremely clean and stocked with plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and room for a group of us. The neighborhood in the evening is peaceful - perfect for sleeping and no city noise. Varun greeted us and made sure that we had everything we needed - easily accessible by text message. Would rent this place from him again in the future as he made the check-in and check-out process VERY easy for all of us.

    Julie2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Varun's place is beautiful! Better than the pictures! We had a group of 10 adults (5 couples), everyone had a bed and their own space! The house was super clean and was equipped with everything we needed! The location was walking distance to coffee, food stores, bars and restaurants. We took Uber and Lyft into the city, which was only a 15 min ride! Varun was very responsive and accommodating! I would definitely stay here again and 100% suggest this place to other! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

    allison2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Varun answered all of my questions promptly, any time I messaged him before our stay. My parents arrived at the house before me and met Varun. They said he was very kind and helpful. The home was very clean and spacious. This allowed the children to sleep at night upstairs while the adults could hang out on the main floor and not worry about waking them up. The residents in the area were very friendly to us as well. I would stay here again and hope to in the future.

Our spacious hideaway is located in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, a prime location; walking distance to UW/Horticulture Center, Children's Hospital and the U-Village restaurant and shopping scene! Your private space includes the entire daylight basement and shared patio.
Our space is quite large! The entire daylight basement of our home includes: One queen bedroom with office space, closet, 3/4 bath, living room with pocket doors and a queen pullout sofa. Amenities include TV, free wi-if, microwave, toaster oven, small fridge, Keurig with coffee and cream, kitchen supplies, space heater, fan and shared laundry. Please enjoy our outdoor patio for morning coffee.
Our home is in a safe, quiet, family neighborhood. We are walking distance to University Village, Children's Hospital, Laurelhurst Park and Husky Stadium! Starbucks coffee and many great restaurants are a 10 minute walk away! UW Medical Center is 5 minutes by car. Lake Washington is close by.
  • All four in our small family had a pleasant stay at Kendall's. The living space was as advertised, with plenty of room and amenities, including a ping-pong table and coffee maker. The interior was super clean and access through the garden is straightforward through a landscaped front yard. The neighborhood is upper-middle-class with easy access to the University of Washington. Within a mile or two of the house, the University Village shopping center was convenient for morning breakfast runs, groceries, and other errants. I would heartily recommend Kendall's location to anyone.

    Bernard2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space in a wonderful house in a beautiful neighborhood. Don't pass up the chance to explore Laurelhurst and the University District! The accommodations are very well appointed and were perfect for my family of four.

    Brandon2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kendall's place is fantastic in every way, and Kendall is an outstanding host. Laurelhurst is a great neighborhood -- an easy walk to the conference center, University Village shops, and UW campus, including the light rail station that runs to and from SeaTac airport. (Skip the traffic, reduce your carbon footprint, and save your cash; the light rail is fast, convenient, and fun!)

    Kirby2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kendall was a great, generous host and the listing for this space is accurate. The neighborhood is quiet, it is a 1/2 mile walk to most services, but if you can manage the walk there is a lot available. We stayed over UW graduation and I was able to walk to Husky Stadium or catch a bus to downtown with ease. As indicated, it is a basement unit, with one "real bed" and a sofa-sleeper, about as comfortable as one could expect from a sofa-sleeper. There are some kitchen items available, but I really missed having a sink (besides the bathroom). It was a perfect space for me, but my elderly parents struggled with the stairs and narrow path to the side door, and the distance to services.

    Jefe2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Super convenient to Husky Stadium (a nice, easy walk) and Kendall was an excellent host. Will very likely stay there again.

    John2016-10-23T00:00:00Z

  • Great location. 2 blocks from Seattle Center, few blocks from restaurants and bars in Belltown. Close to buses. Right next to the monorail so you will hear it passing by during the day. Need to reinforce the insulation in the window with the ac unit, it does let in some cold air. Overall good place to stay in Seattle, very convenient and walkable.

  • Great value for location and the space needle was only a 5-minute walk away! Also very close to nightlife. However, my friend and I were disappointed that there was a very cold draft (it was the middle of winter) that came through the window due to the A/C unit not being removed yet.

  • We had a great time staying with Vin. The condo is less than a mile from some great Dim Sum and shopping in Little Saigon, Chinatown, Japantown, but is quiet at night and enough off often the beaten track to be very cozy. I love the remodeled bathroom, and being able to have Whole Foods delivered by Amazon. We never had an issue finding an Uber when needed, but often walked to the Seattle and Washington University areas. The kitchen is well appointed and the home nicely decorated.

The A-frame Architectural home is set back in a wooded lot. With an outdoor eating space. Enough free parking for three cars. The interior has three Bedrooms and a Loft: Two bedrooms have queen beds The third bedroom has a full bed. The Loft has a queen bed. There are 2.5 bathrooms The main floor is an open plan space looking out onto the views and up into a vaulted ceiling. The open stairwell is a beautiful architectural feature. For safety purposes, please use the handrail while going up and down the stairs. I want to make you aware of a recent update at my AirBnB. For security and safety, I have added a security camera at the front door and back door. The security camera is only monitoring the outside entrances. There is NO monitoring of the interior at all.
The neighborhood is known as "Matthews Beach". It is located 4 miles north of the University of Washington. The lifeguarded beach and playground is a block and a half away. •Close to Sail Sand Point (rental equipment kayaks, paddle boards, sailing boats…) •Located on bus lines to downtown and U-District route 75), •1 mile from Children's Hospital and University Village •10 minutes to University of Washington •Easy access to Burke-Gilman Trail. •7 miles to Downtown Seattle
  • We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Analisa was very prompt in responding to all of my queries leading up to our decision to rent and was very accommodating as I tried to nail down a specific arrival time. The home was every bit as fantastic as the pictures and other information described. It was such a great location for us as it provided a sense of seclusion and privacy, yet we were within walking distance of parks, trails, and beaches. The kids in our group were thrilled with the Lego decor and enthusiastically pursued the challenge to find the location of each piece that Analisa had provided on a list. Nice touch! Analisa made everything about our stay easy and stress free; from a notebook full of information on amenities/activities in the surrounding area to a special delivery of dishwasher soap. We hope to rent the house again on a future trip to Seattle.

  • Analisa was very helpful in giving us complete details for our reservation! The place was even better than in the pictures! Very spacious and clean and unique! There is a great path to walk or bike along lake Washington, just a block away! We would love to come back another time in the summer months. Very accommodating host and an overall great Airbnb experience!

  • Better than the pictures. One of the coolest and most intricately designed airbnbs we've stayed at. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Beautiful home. Amazing location. Wonderful host. Our three boys loved playing the "Search & Find" game on the Lego wall. The home is set back on the lot and offered privacy. It felt like we were staying in a remote cabin. But the location is central and accommodated all of our plans. We loved our family vacation!!!!

  • Analisa was very welcoming to her home. I stayed at this airbnb with a group of 6. She greeted us and showed us around the place. However, while the experience here may be different in other seasons, this is not somewhere I would recommended in the winter. For the price per person, my group was dissatisfied with the heating provided. It was fairly cold (20s-30s) when we arrived in Seattle. After the first night, everyone woke up freezing and we found that the thermostat that we had set to 72 degrees when we went to sleep had dropped to 59 degrees when we woke up. I asked her to raise the temperature for the second night, and though she very promptly and kindly responded, she raised it initially to 64 degrees and then for a few hours to 72 degrees before it automatically dropped back down again in the morning to somewhere in the 60s. She said that she installed a nest thermostat because a previous guest had raised up the temperature to the point where the heater was overworking. While I totally understand this, I also didn't appreciate that after our group spent as much as we did for her airbnb, half of my group ended up feeling a cold coming on after sleeping that first night. We all agreed we'd rather stay at a warm hotel over this place, despite this place having a lot of cool architectural features. It might have been a different experience at another season, but unfortunately because of the temperature situation, this was one of the worst airbnb experiences I and members of my group had.

  • Great stay, great host!

    Alicia2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Analisa and her children were very welcoming!! The home is lovely and charming and truly exceeded our expectations! It was also very private, and there was a surprising view of Lake Washington from the balcony. It is at Matthews Beach! We walked the very short distance to the beach every evening after sight seeing in Seattle, and our kids swam in the warm lake water. There were always lifeguards on duty. She really equipped the kitchen with everything we could want. We can't wait to come back for an even longer stay next summer!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Analisa's beautiful house. Although we did not get to meet Analisa (she was out of town during our stay), she welcomed us with a note and some necessities. The house easily accommodated our small family gathering of 4 adults and 3 kids. The kids loved the lego wall! Great location in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach and playground. Close enough to downtown to enjoy all the tourist attractions. Will definitely be back for our next Seattle trip! Thanks Analisa.

Great home for for your next reunion with family and friends. Open floor plan, 4 comfortable bedrooms, 3+ Bathrooms spread out over 3 floors. Walk to the Light Rail Station and get to the Airport, Stadium District, Downtown, Capitol Hill and University District in minutes.
This home is duplex with a young family living in the lower basement unit. Completely separate exterior entrances so you won't be disturbed. This house is one of several grand old Seattle homes I have renovated over the years. It was a candidate for a tear down but like many of my other projects it was worthy of remodel.
We are atop Beacon Hill which is a 3 miles to downtown and the Stadium District. Located in a quiet family neighborhood with a local grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops a few blocks away, this home is a great venue for your next group reunion.
  • A great place in Seattle

  • Absolutely wonderful! We cannot wait to stay here again. The home is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. To top that all off there is an amazing view from the back of the house of parts of the city and the water. Joe is so easy to reach and you can really tell and feel the love and detail that was put into the house!

Olympic Mountain and Ocean Views with ample afternoon sun. Look out the north window to see the Space Needle overhead. Olympic Sculpture Park, Public transportation and the grocery store are super walkable with a score of 95. Dine out to Seattle’s thousands of high end or eccentric restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and eateries located just outside your front door. Come home to a spacious, ultra-functional studio with a retro-contemporary design concept, comfy queen bed, futon and dining table.
The Belltown neighborhood is amazing. Just a short walk to the Space Needle, Pike Place, Key Arena and downtown shops. There you find a multitude of classic Seattle restaurants and shops plus a host of new shops by a new generation. With relative proximity to downtown Seattle and other popular local neighborhoods, Belltown is a prime destination and location within the city.
  • Great flat! Beautiful view from the room and the rooftop. I loved the location and the walk ability. This isn’t someone’s home; so check in is a few blocks away at a machine inside a coffee shop.

    Christine 2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brand new place. Nicely laid out. Nice studio for a great price. Easy free street parking at night as well. We would definitely stay again. We live in the country, so the road noise was a bit loud even for the 6th floor. I would probably get rid of the loud ticking clock. We took the battery out.

    Greg2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is clean and tidy, close to downtown Seattle. There was no WiFi available while we stayed there, however I’m sure it may be set up in the future. The check in system can be a little confusing but is obviously quite secure. This apartment is advertised to be able to house three guests, however it was not very comfortable with the spare ‘bed’ being a very small backless couch. Two people would be more appropriate to stay here.

Comfortable Studio Apartement with private patio one block away from beautiful walks or bike rides along the canal to central Fremont and beyond. Plenty of restaurants, coffeeshops etc. in walking distance. Very easy to get around town from here..
Enjoy peekaboo-views of ships passing by. On sunny days you can see the Olympic Mountains. The Studio is comfortable for 2 people (up to 3 possible by prior arrangement). - full kitchen with gas range, convection oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes etc. . - charcoal grill - bamboo flooring with hydronic floor heat - full bath with big tub - queen size bed, seven foot couch - on street parking - good southwest/ afternoon light - furnished with unique pieces, vintage and handcrafted items. We enjoyed creating a space that we would love to stay in. Please notice that we ( me, my husband and our 8 year old son) live upstairs and kids like to move around. There is sound insulation between the floors and there is another floor above us with a big space to move around for my son and his friends if the weather is bad. So you will hear us some.
Located: - very close to the Burke Gilman Trail - 30 min. walk from central Ballard or the Zoo - 5 min. walk to Ross Park (neighborhood kid's playground) - 10 min. walk from major retailer/ grocery Fremont is a popular neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, boutiques and a great healthfoodstore. Fremont Sunday Market and Ballard Farmers Market are highlites in Seattle.
  • Had so wonderful days in this beautiful studio. Everything was great. Michaela was so nice and helpful. We used the bikes to discover some parts of Seattle. In our opinion it´s the best way to get to know the city. So sad we had just three nights. We will come back definitely!!! Caroline & Marcel

  • We've seen quite a few nice Airbnb apartments during our travels on the West Coast, but Manuela's urban oasis in Seattle would win the price for the most perfect and cozy temporary home. The apartment is located in beautiful Fremont, provided more than everything we needed (great bed, great shower, great kitchen) and was arranged and designed with a lot of love. Thank you for the warm welcome, Manuela, we would have loved to stay longer than 2 nights and definitely would come back!

    Kaline2014-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Fremont Urban Oasis was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon in Seattle. This was our first experience with airbnb and all future airbnbs will be compared to this standard. There was a lot of natural light and the decoration was impressive. The kitchen had all of the necessary cooking utensils and was a great space. The big bathtub was a bonus and the water pressure was great. The covered outdoor patio was awesome and got a lot of use. There is no TV which was nice because it forced us to talk to each other and not be lazy while on vacation-- haha! The location was amazing. We ended up getting a rental car because we wanted to visit Mount Rainier and the Olympic Peninsula; however, it was not necessary. Just a couple of blocks to the center of Fremont for shops, restaurants, and bars. There is a pizza shop a block away that is open until 3:00am which was great for after a late night. There was never an issue with parking on the street in front of the house. We looked into taking buses into downtown Seattle, but realized that for a few more dollars, we could uber in half the time. The most we paid for an uber was $20 because it was a "surge" from downtown to the oasis because of Amazon's anniversary party at one of the stadiums-- every other time we paid between $10 and $15 each way (downtown, Ballard Locks, University area). Manuela was on vacation for the first half of our stay, but she put us in contact with her husband who was very helpful-- especially with the laundry. Both of them were very quick to answer our questions. As has been mentioned in other reviews, you can definitely hear the family walking around upstairs. I am a light sleeper when not at home, so it did wake me up; however, it made sure we got an early start every day and got the most out of our trip. My husband, on the other hand, slept through it no problem. We would absolutely recommend this airbnb to anyone that is looking to spend some time in Seattle. Next time we have the opportunity to visit Seattle, we are definitely hoping the Fremont Urban Oasis is available!

    Rachel2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic! Truly an urban oasis. Fremont is a very happening part of town, as is Ballard. Good bus service between downtown, Fremont and Ballard make this a great spot for folks on foot. Personally, I had a wonderful experience walking to the Ballard Locks and all the way up to Carkeek park via Golden Gardens beach. That's some distance, but a lovely NW Seattle experience. Manuela is a great host and the space is exactly as described in the listing. Highly recommended and I would be happy to return.

  • My stay here was perfect! This is the third time I have stayed in Manuela's home and I just love it. The aesthetic is so great! Location is perfect! Super comfy bed. A perfect place to call home.

    Kathryn2015-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The stay with Manuela was very nice. Exactly what we were looking for. Spacious setting, comfortable bed, nestled in a very cool part of town. She gave us tips on where to go eat including the cpp market place where my girlfriend and I grabbed some lunch and walked over to river to enjoy our meal. Overall our stay was very nice and would highly recommend it.

One block from public transit to downtown, tennis courts, and running tracks. Would send more info in messages. Feel free to inquire about details. No shoes. No parties. Return sober enough to find the place, please!
This room is situated on the third floor of a townhouse. Note: there are two sets of stairs to climb.
It is a quieter part of town. Please be respectful of the neighbors. Please return sober enough that you do not knock on the wrong door! (Yes that happened before!)
