The Stables Cottage is located in the quiet, village of Scotterthorpe. This is a private, detached cottage, standing in the grounds of The Old Granary. A cosy hideaway set within the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. It is completely self contained with garden and parking. The Stables Cottage renovation was completed in 2014. Family resided in the property until 2016. It was then rented on a long term let.
This property has been built with love, having a wonderful, cosy ambience, with high ceiling beams, log burner, stone fireplace and a free standing bath. The Cottage is tastefully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen. Please note that The small bedroom is off the main bedroom
A cosy hideaway set within the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. 1 mile to the village of Scotter where you will find a Church, a quality butcher, several shops, takeaways, hairdresers and pubs that serve food. Within the vicinity we have; Blyton Park Race Track, Kieraden Park Mx Track, Blyton Fishing Ponds, Blyton Ice Creams, Messingham Nature Reserve, Grange Park Golf Course, Skydive Hibaldstow, Forest Pines Golf Course, The Baths Hall Scunthorpe, 2021 Visual Arts Centre, Gainsborough Old Hall, Gainsborough Heritage Centre and Normanby Hall Country Park. We are 20 minutes drive to Gainsborough, Scunthorpe and Brigg. It is 40 minutes to Lincoln and 50 minutes to Hull.
  • A lovely, relaxing over night stay. Jo was so helpful when we were settling in and even offered to get the fore started for us. It was so cosy with the fire roaring and I really pretty village. We also appreciated the chocolate biscuits and milk provided on arrival. Another recommendation for something to do, we took a little trip to Messingham zoo on a bit of a whim the next day and it was fab. Would definitely stay again.

Stylish place, specious enough to have a lovely family celebration, everything you need kitchen wise, amazing stand alone bath and super cosy log burner.   • Considering this was my first time using AirBnB everything was so easy from start to finish and any questions I had were replied to very quickly. A very clean and spacious accommodation in an idea location. The garden was amazing to sit in when we had some spare time too. Bob and Joanne were great hosts that went above and beyond when Bob kindly rescued us when our taxi let us down on a bank holiday. Highly recommended!

    Your room will be a private Double bed, with the bathroom next door.
    🌍 Private Double Bedroom, within a family home, with no Children. Private Double bedroom over looking the back garden, with space to hang your clothes, own TV with access to watch films on the media player. Bathroom is located next to the guest room. With towels available. The Kitchen isn't available to use unless this is discussed before hand. Guest can however use the microwave and cutlery. I can leave out a choice of breakfast, for example fruit, Ceral or toast for an extra small fee. Check in is between 5pm - 9pm and Checkout is 8am, please feel free to discuss this if you require to make alternative arrangements. Please feel free to ask me any questions about your stay. I will do my best to accommodate. Keadby is a small village, two shops, one has a post office with free cash machine, a pub and a chip shop. Tesco Extra, KFC, Mc Dondalds and pubs/restaurants etc 2 miles buy car. Keadby is 40 minute walk to Scunthorpe, buses and the train run every hour. Althrope Train station is a 5 minute walk from our house, it connects to Scunthorpe and Doncaster. Wi-Fi is : Aminet-guest and the passed word : guest ( lowercase) Please note, when driving out the village it is a one way system We also have a small Chihuahua dog called Chilli🌶 Regards Veronica

  • As I booked the flat at the last minute, there was some issues with the flat being ready on time but Penny did all she could to solve the issue. Penny is a very caring host, who checked regularly with me that everything was going ok during my stay. The flat itself is great, with a lot of space. Perfect for a few days of a business trip.

    Our home is just on the edge of the village of Messingham. Two Double rooms with a shared private bathroom are available for short or long stay guests. Ample secure parking with an electric gated entrance, tea/coffee making facilities available. Free Wi-fi, free view TV in the bedrooms and separate sitting room with Sky TV. Home Gym with treadmill, cycle and weight bench. Full size snooker table, pool table and Table football are available for use. Use of fully fitted kitchen.
    We are on the edge of a quite village with great views of the countryside but with all amenities within a 10 minute walk. There is a restaurant next door and a wine bar and pubs in the village, also an Indian restaurant, Chinese take-away, kebab house and Fish & Chip shop.

    A beautiful apart hotel set in the heart of Scunthorpe. A short walk away from the town centre and the Baths Hall. The property features beautifully designed studio suites and rooms ideal got short and longer term stays. The property also boasts a lounge area and a cafe which is open until late.
    Our modern double bedrooms are equipped with a double bed. The room has a floor to ceiling headboard and an amazing mattress supplied by the Chelsea Bed Co. A large wardrobe and work desk are provided alongside kettle, telephone, fridge and a 32 inch Smart TV. The En suite comprises a power shower, basin, WC and our hand selected toiletries.
    The building is a large red brick property based opposite the Baths hall. The property is next door to the Sainsburys Petrol Station.

    *my house is very clean and hygienic and even more so at the moment, with surfaces, door handles etc sanitised many times daily, plus anti-bacterial cleaner is on hand in each communal room and both bathrooms* This spacious room is located on the ground floor and used to be a lounge. It is also very comfortable - whilst you will be sleeping on a double sofa bed, it is as comfortable as a comfortable real bed - trust me, I'm a fussy sleeper and I slept very well indeed in it
    The house is a 5 minute drive from the steel works and the hospital, half a mile from supermarkets, a small high street, pubs, takeaways and a gym. There are more pubs and eateries within 2 miles, making it a perfect location. There is ample space to cook, (all pots, pans and utensils, plus 1 x cupboard and 1 x fridge shelf is provided for each guest) dine and relax - I have a large kitchen with breakfast bar. You are also welcome to work and chat here, should you wish. There is a bay, plus ample on-street parking available, enabling you to park right outside of the property.
  • Gemma is a brilliant host - friendly, whilst giving me the space to do my own thing - I felt this was a home-from-home. The room itself is very comfortable and spacious with the added benefit of a sofa and dining table. Having said that, I enjoyed sitting in the kitchen to eat. The bed is very comfy - whilst it is a sofa bed, it is a very good quality one which has its own mattress (like a bed, not sofa) so you wouldn't know you weren't in a 'proper' bed. I met Gemma's lodger whilst I was there and there was another guest staying at the time I believe, though you wouldn't have known as it was very quiet and peaceful. If you want a clean, safe, quiet, comfortable and welcoming place then this is highly recommended!

    Part of a Coach House, traditionally decorated, with lots of original features. It is in the middle of Messingham a pleasant village 5 miles from Scunthorpe. There are 4 public houses in the village and also very close by is a highly rated restaurant. There is also a beautiful cafe - The Old School. There are takeaways and an Indian Restaurant. There are grocery stores also within walking distance. We are a short drive to Grange Park Golf. There is fishing locally, tennis, foot golf and a zoo.
    Built in 1875 - traditional property. 3 double bedrooms, 2 cosy lounges with TV, large victorian kitchen and a bathroom. Beautifully presented throughout.
    Messingham is 5 miles from Scunthorpe and 24 miles from Lincoln and Grimsby. The village has everything you would need for a stay.

A massive kitchen diner with large cooker, great supply of kitchen eqpt to cook/prepare anything. House was warm, comfortable. We used it as a home for 10 days waiting for our house purchase to complete. Would recommend as a great place to stay.

Layout worked well for our group of 4 adults and 1 teenager. 2 reception rooms and kitchen diner on ground floor. 3 x double bedrooms and bathroom (cubicle shower, whb and wc) on first floor. Front two bedrooms have interconnecting door, which . Property is on main road. Noise from passing traffic was notable, but did not cause a problem. Hot water for shower runs off small tank, notice advised usually enough for 2-3 consecutive showers. Large groups would need to plan shower use or run risk of a cold shower!! Property and stay overall was ideal for our 2 night stay whilst visiting friends. Thank you Sam for use of your home.

  • This is a hidden gem. We love staying here. It’s extremely close to the nearest town but feels very isolated and peaceful. We saw some deer in the field outside each morning, my husband enjoyed fishing in the lake and Jo and Jonathan leave you in peace but are on hand if you need them. The views of the surrounding fields and lake is a lovely way to get away from the hustle of everyday life. Jon and Jo have made this lodge feel like home from home with the high-quality design, thoughtful touches, and aesthetics to the lodge. We were using this lodge for work and a family visit up north and had all the amenities and great wifi to accommodate us. We highly recommend and will definitely be back if we are local again.

  • We had a lovely week at Jonathan and Jo’s lodge. Jonathan and Jo were the perfect hosts. Both lovely people, nothing was too much trouble for them if we needed anything but they left us in privacy for our stay. The little welcome treats were lovely and much appreciated. The accommodation itself has been built and furnished to a really high standard with lovely finishing touches. All of our visitors commented how lovely it was. There is everything you need in a home for a week and it was toasty and warm during the chilly winter week we were there. There was good WiFi and tv with Netflix signed in. We will definitely be regulars to the lodge whenever we are visiting family in the future.

Peter and Penny were quick to respond to my messages arranging check in and confirming details. The flat location is handy for going to the park, woodland, theatre, Cafe Indie, local Pods leisure centre (with a great yoga class by Stuart!), Honest Lawyer pub, North Lincs Museum and 2021 art gallery (just to list all the fun things we did!).   • Awesome location. Excellent suggestions for food and entertainment!! The place is huge and super cozy. There were 4 of us and we absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave! I highly recommend. Note: it is a small town so busses and stuff don’t run until later in the morning on Sundays so research your transportation. We walked most of the time. The people are so nice and the host even FaceTimed me to fix a problem we had at 1 in the morning! They have laundry services but not an actual washer so be aware of that. It’s very affordable and we would have utilized it had we stayed longer :)

  • The apartment was great in terms of amenities compared to other places - I tried very hard to find other places that simply had an oven and it seemed impossible. This place was so close to the station and had a netflix TV as well! Only suggestion for anyone coming in winter months is to grab plenty of jumpers or blankets as the bedroom gets quite chilly during the night.

    A private room at the front of a tastefully furnished family home with shared facilities. Within 10 minute walk local shops include:- Co Op supermarket, post office, chemist, hairdressers, barbers, Indian restaurant, pizza parlour, fish and chip shop. Lincoln, Doncaster, Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Hull are all within 40 minutes drive away. The house is on a circular bus route with good local rail links.
    A spacious single room, at the front of the property in my home. The room has TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, study area and plenty of storage. A light, serve yourself breakfast of beverages, cereals, toast and preserves is included in the price. Please note: This is my home and I let out a double room also. The bathroom, kitchen and dining room are shared, so the need to keep these places tidy is important for us and other guests. There is a lovely back porch with seating overlooking the garden, for the warmer months, with plenty of bird activity.
    I live in a housing estate with a bus stop 2 minutes away. The hospital and Steel works are only 3 miles away. By car you can be in the Lincolnshire countryside within 5 minutes. Local sights include:- Normanby Hall, Gainsborough Old Hall, Lincoln Castle and Cathedral.

The cottage backs on to farmland and there are walks close by in woodlands, river, cycling, fishing and golf. Lincoln is about an hour away with it's beautiful shops, churches and eateries to visit during your stay.
    Our self catering cottage annexe is close to the river, woodland walks and a local villages offering shopping close by. A welcome pack will be provided on arrival including tea and coffee, bread, eggs, cereals,juice, milk, butter, jam and biscuits. The cottage is ideal for anyone who likes the tranquility of the countryside, ideal to relax, curl up with a good book, take woodland walks or go for a cycle ride on the quiet country lanes. We also offer secure lock up storage for sports equipment. Smoking is permitted in the garden seating area.
    There are many places to visit including Pink pig play park, adventure land, Torksey locks, Blyton race circuit, horse racing at Market Rasen & Beverley, Lincolnshire wolds. The area is ideal for cyclists with many routes throughout the countryside, with quiet roads which are mainly flat terrain with many places of interest. We are close to very pretty woodlands that are great for walks or mountain biking, full of bluebells in the spring and fabulous colours in the autumn. There are superb pubs close by serving wonderful food, beautiful boutiques and nurseries for you to visit.

  • We stayed at Campbell House - 7 adults - and there was room for everyone. The place was spotless and freshly renovated. Location was great for us as we were attending a 2 day event at the Blues Club. Parking is on the street but don't let that put you off as there was enough spaces that all 4 of our cars could park in various places (but all within a few doors of the house) We would all recommend anyone to stay here :)

    A private room, at the rear of the property, in a family home with shared facilities. Please note: I also rent out a twin room so the need to keep common areas tidy is important for everyone's comfort. 10 min walk to local shops including: Co Op, Post Office, chemist, hairdressers, barbers, Indian restaurant, pizza parlour and a fish&chip shop. Lincoln, Doncaster, Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Hull are all within 40 mins drive away. The house is on a circular bus route and also has good rail links.
    A double bed with TV, wifi and tea and coffee making facilities in a pleasantly decorated room at the rear of the property. A light, serve yourself breakfast of cereals, toast and preserves is included in the price. This is my home and I let out a single room as well. The bathroom, kitchen and dining room are shared and need to be kept tidy for the comfort of all staying. There is a lovely back porch with seating overlooking the garden, for the warmer months, with plenty of bird activity.
    Quiet residential area with 3 pubs, Co Op, 3 chemists, 2 fish and chip shops, 2 pizza outlets, an Indian restaurant, hair dressers and barbers all within a 10 minute walk but still a surprisingly quiet area.

    The house is located in a village outside of Scunthorpe called Keadby, by car is only 10 minutes away from M180 and 5 minutes away from Gallagher retail park with 24hr Tesco extra, B&Q, Mcdonalds. There are two shops 2 minutes walk away one which is a post office. There are frequent buses and the Althorpe train station is just a 5-minute walk away. The house is a large three bedroom house with a large garden. I have a patio area that is great for relaxing in the sun and having BBQ's.

    Our neighbourhood is quiet day and night, so you can be sure of a good nights sleep. We have a “convenient corner shop” across the road and a “Fish and chip shop that do Kebabs, Pizza and more” nearby. There is “The Worley hotel “ for drinks and food a few minutes walk away and “Glenys Bar” for drinks in the next street a few minutes walk away.
