  • Laura was an amazing host. Attentive, good communicator, professional, and always willing to share her insider tips on La Spezia. The room and the house is amazing. Extremely clean, quiet, comfortable and private. Plus, the place is full of history. We loved it and we slept so well! Laura's tips on visiting La Spezia and Cinque Terre were extremely helpful. We ended up doing the boat tour, and it was amazing. PS: Her food is delicious! We had an awesome time in La Spezia thanks to Laura. We give her a very high recommendation.

  • Laura was very welcoming and friendly. She came to meet us at the car park nearby and showed us down the steps to her home. We weren't very sure about the location but enjoyed a fabulous meal at the local restaurant overlooking the port as the sun set with the back drop of the mountains.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Laura and Tiziano. They were both very welcoming and wonderful hosts. It was a great location and the room was very comfortable. We were also given lots of advice about the local area. Highly recommend staying here.

  • What a wonderful stay. Probably our best Abnb experience yet. Outle hosts picked us up at the station, to surprise us with dinner and gelato - home made gelato. Their home is amazing and both hosts went out of their Way to make us feel us home. Breakfast was amazing, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

  • What a fabulous place to stay! We wish we had stayed here longer! Perfect location, just a short bus ride from la spezia train station. Very beautiful room and house. Laura and her husband were very hospitable, providing us with refreshments upon arrival, and even holding our bags for one night prior to our arrival as we walked cinque tere. Laura cooked us a delicious Italian meal for €15 each. We loved their dog Gala! Have already recommended this Accomodation to family and friends travelling next year :-)

  • This was a wonderful experience for us. We were picked up at the train station and taken to a magnificent property up high in the Hills overlooking Le spezia. Magnificent views. We had our own private space. It was fresh, clean, the bed was amazing and we had everything we needed there. Laura and her family are delightful. So happy to help in every way. We had an amazing meal cooked by Laura and enjoyed a wonderful night with her husband Tiziano and 2 other guests who were staying here. They treated us like family. The house is a 2 minute walk to catch a bus to get to train or boat that you will need to get to Cinque Terre. If Laura is heading that way she is more than happy to drive. There is a wonderful truly authentic local Italian Resturant just a couple of minutes walk away and the fish is fresh out of The Mediterranean. I would put this stay on top of our Airbnb experiences so far. Thank you Laura and Tiziano

  • This place is outside of the main city of La Spezia but absolutely perfect for taking in the views and having a nice relaxing place to stay! We wish we had more time to explore the coast as Laura has so much knowledge of the area, it's a shame we couldn't stay longer! Thank you Laura xx

  • Charming place (well hidden in the hills), friendly people, clean accomodation and a feeling of well taken care off. PS: the nearby restaurant perfectly completes a full genuine-Italian experience, so make certain to arrive with a hunger :)

My house is located in the hilly area of Castellazzo, above the city of La Spezia. My property is in fact a portion of an old castle of the '400, carefully restored preserving the structural characteristics of the time, in full respect of poor materials used for its original construction more than seven centuries ago. The room I offer you is the old stables, with the ceiling vaults partially stone, offering you the chance to see the sea while sitting on the bed. The entrance is independent and there is a private bathroom with shower. My house is only 10 minutes from Central Railway Station, 20 minutes from the Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Lerici. I offer my guests a breakfast on the terrace overlooking the magnificent Gulf certainly be impressed by the extraordinary silence that frames the green olive trees and the blue sea in this beautiful place.
  • We had such a good time at Alessandro's place. We stayed 5 nights and it felt too short. Amazing recommendations he has for places to visit around La Spezia. Great room, great bathroom. Very relaxing place right into the trees. A little path into the vegetation from the road and you reach the room and the fabulous terrace to enjoy the view and the breakfast in the morning.

  • If you have plans of staying at least 3 or 4 days in Cinque Terre, Alessandro's house is the place to be. His cozy, silent and beautiful room is located on the top of a hill in La Spezia - perfect place if you have a car available. If not, there's public transportation (bus / 2 Euros / 15 min to downtown) running every 30 minutes, but it ends around 8pm. So if you want to stay longer in dowtown La Spezia you'll need a taxi (18 Euros) or a ride to get back home. Alessandro is extremely helpful and attentive. He served us breakfast every day and drove us around whenever he could. He speaks good English and knows every good spot in La Spezia and its surroundings. Alessandro is also funny and interested in different cultures. His equally nice brother, Mattia, helped us out when Alessandro wasn't around. His room has a double bed with private bathroom. Well-tasted decor and fresh flowers upon arrival :-) - and a breath-taking view from his terrazza. Tips: - if you're taking the bus, you must pay it once you enter - or you might get a 35 Euro fine. - don't miss Porto Venere. You get there by ferry in downtown La Spezia - Monterosso is the best spot for swimming. Don't forget your towel!

  • Beautiful views from the balcony. Great room and bathroom - clean and great standard. Car advised to reach the accommodation. Would definitely reccomend.

  • Alessandro was amazing - he was everything you would ever want in a host and more. He is so generous and showed us all of these amazing places in the area and told us about the history of Cinque Terre and La Spezia. We enjoyed dinner with him one night and it was the highlight of our trip - he's such a great guy. The apartment has the most beautiful view of the city you can imagine and a very convenient bus to take you anywhere you need to go. Walking to dinner at Osteria Secondini was great too - it was our favorite meal of our whole trip in Italy. I definitely recommend staying here!

    Amanda2013-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Well, there are two reasons I chose this place... the view and the other reviews of how lovely Alessandro and Maritina are... And neither disappointed! We arrived after dinner to charming Alessandro who greeted us showed us around and left us to our wine on the lovely patio that you see in the listing. We ate breakfast there also and shared a quick coffee with Alessandro before he had to leave! Great guy. We were sorry we missed Martina. This was a lovely accommodation!

    Ashley 2015-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 nights staying with Alessandro in La Spezia. He is a wonderful host and we enjoyed our morning conversations over breakfast. (Delicious warm focaccia bread with pesto). Also the views looking over La Spezia and the harbour from the house are really awesome.

  • Alessandro is a fantastic host. I am 110% happy. He helped us with our itinerary and had plenty of maps and advise about what to do, see and where to eat. Best pasta I've ever had. The room is clean and nice. The view from the balcony is fantastic. If I ever go back to Italy I will visit this area again and will stay at his place again. Book your stay here you will not regret it!

  • Theres nothing more to say: unbelievable!!! We had three wonderful days at Alessandros house. Alessandro and Martina had great tips what we can visit and place to go. They are wonderful hosts and we had nothing to criticize! We got some fresh Focaccia for breakfast, tee, cookies, water and joghurt. The house has an awsome view over the city of la spezia and the sea. The room was clean, small and cosy. We had a seperate entrance and we were allowed to use Alessandros beautiful terasse. We felt welcome in the first minutes. Alessandro and his girlfriend Martina are so friendly, nice and funny. We would love to visit them again.

Villa Federici, the most ancient mansion in La Spezia, built in the first half of the eighteenth century, opens its gates to people who appreciate beauty. The villa is located on the first hill of Mount Santa Croce, behind the Cinque Terre hills, on the street that connects La Spezia to Portovenere and Cinque Terre. The 180° panoramic view on the Gulf of the Poets, the Apuan Alps, the Versilia, make your stay at this historic mansion really "poetic". Once you go through its gateway you'll find yourself immersed in the middle of a natural park, with the biggest and most ancient cedar tree in Italy. The villa makes only a two-floor apartment available to guests in order to preserve its "poetic" atmosphere. The flat has all comforts and a minimalist design combined with the ancient parts of the mansion. Villa Federici is situated in Fabiano Alto, about 10-15 minutes from the city centre and from the main railway station of La Spezia. Fabiano can be easily reached by car or by bus (line 23 or 21). Being on the way to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre, the villa is particularly suited to people who want to reach these destinations. For hikers and mountain bikers it is also possible to go to the Cinque Terre using the C.A.I. paths, going through unforgettable panoramic areas and steep sea cliffs (1 hour walk). It is also possible to visit the nearby Apuan Alps, the white marble quarries of Carrara, the Lunigiana with its enchanting medieval villages and its hundred castles.
  • I loved my time with Laura. She is a great host. The apartment was very comfortable and Laura went out of her way to Make me welcome. I really enjoyed seeing some lesser know. Spots due to Laura'a tips

  • The combination of a generously wonderful host and an outstanding location made our stay at Laura's apartment very enjoyable. The apartment was stylish and well appointed, with stunning views of La Spezia and close to relaxed and friendly local restaurants. Laura was full of fantastic local knowledge, generous in her hospitality and advice which we utilised to explore not only Cinque Terre but also the closer towns of Porto Venere and Lerici. We would highly recommend staying and we would like to thank Laura once again for a wonderful experience. It truly was amazing.

    Julie-Ann2015-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's home is perfect for a holiday near Porto Venere and Cinque Terre, I only wished we would have stayed more than three nights to enjoy the home and area more! We felt like very welcome guests for our stay as Laura went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, including help with the bus to Porto Venere, fruit and snacks, a ride to and from the train on arrival/departure, local advice on where to go and what to see. Laura's home has been in the family for generations and is a nice peek into what Italian ancients lived like many centuries ago. She's taken lovely care of the estate and it feels like an honor to share the courtyard and space with her family. A truly unique and special Italian experience. We did cook and make small meals in the kitchen which worked great! Coffee on the patio each morning was delightful! If you don't have a car, just plan to pick up groceries before heading to the house so you can simply enjoy. While we didn't visit, there is a lovely looking restaurant close and Laura offered to cook and I am sure would share a delightful meal. Next time! I'd highly recommend a stay and would suggest several nights to truly enjoy the area!

    Kelly2013-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house is located on the mountain, across which you can see the city center. The view is very beautiful especially in the night. Laura is a good lady, who pick us up as soon as we arrived at the parking place. She made a tremendously detailed presentation on how we should visit the downtown as well as how we should visit the five-terre. It is very helpful. What's more, her house was really an antique which is said to be over 200 years old. If you like to live in a place with ancient taste, that's the place.

  • Villa Federici was a step back in time! We absolutely loved staying there and enjoyed the experience immensely. Laura and Titsiano were extremely gracious hosts and were a delight to share time with. They were both warm, open and friendly, nothing was a problem and we were very well looked after and made to feel totally at home. Laura cooked us the most amazing 'locally sourced produce' meal and it was like dining in the main hall of an incredible palace! We loved it...thank you ver much Laura! It is a great access point to The Chinque Terra, however we found Porto Venere to be spectacular and a hidden treasure. Also it was wonderful to go back to our 'special place in the clouds' very high above La Spezia, and delight in the amazing views over the city. Thank you Laura and Titsiano for sharing your beautiful home and treating us to such a grand stay. Ciao for now, Vonnie and Ray (Sydney).

  • Laura is amazing!! She picked my friend and I up from the La Spezia train station and gave us suggestions of what we should do first and our different options in the area. The guest house is so cute and has everything! ( but bring your own shampoo etc). She left us breakfast items, coffee, tea, juice, milk. The place was so clean and I felt very welcome in her home. She even let us wait in her home before we left for Cinque Terre because we came early. My friend hurt her eye and right when I asked Laura for advice she immediately came to the rescue and took us to the doctor and pharmacy. She is SUCH a sweet woman. The house is located at the top of La Spezia with an incredible view. You can either walk or take the bus to the La Spezia station but the bus doesn't run very late so you may need a cheap taxi ride if you plan to stay out past 7. When I come back I will definitely stay with her again. Everything you could ask for in a host. Such a wonderful experience! Thank you so much for everything Laura!

  • Laura was a very good host. I made a mistake booking a day earlier but they were able to accommodate us. The apartment was just like the pictures show. It was very cute and modern. The view from the grounds is incredible That night Laura suggested that we visit Portovenue that is close to their mansion. This was an incredible area. We visited during off season - it was quiet not much open. We did enjoy it. That night Laura invited us to dinner at her home. The mansion is like a walk into an older Italy - incredible. I loved the atmosphere. The dinner was delightful - fried (batter dipped) sage, locally produced prosciutto like meat, pasta with homemade pesto, homemade cookies followed by local wine and limoncello.

  • This is the most wonderful experience I've ever had through airbnb! Laura is a very gracious host and picked us up/dropped us off everywhere we wanted to go. We took the train from La Spezia into cinque terre (super simple) for the day and she gave us useful information on how to get around the towns and what attractions were good to see. The apartment was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed, including a light breakfast. If you're looking for an authentic experience in Italy and you want to enjoy beautiful scenery and good company, this is the place for you!

Surrounded by green hills, ten minutes from the city centre. Ideal for family, couple or a small group of friends traveling by car or motorcycle or bike.
We rent two double private rooms of our house. The rooms are independent from the rest, have separated entrances from the courtyard, a bathroom in common and WI-FI free. The house is located on the hill facing the city of La Spezia. Surrunded by a 5.000 sqm private garden cultivated with olive trees, vines, fruit trees and vegetables, it occupies a part of a typical country house built in mid '800. The rooms combine the original rustic with simple minimalistic style. You would enjoy a italian breakfast on the veranda where you would meet chickens, cats and our dog Paolo.
The best way to reach us is by car, by motorcycle or, if you are just a little bit trained by bike. A big free parking is situated 30m far from the house. If you are coming by train, we have a couple of bike you can borrow. Bus number 34 stops two times during the morning 30mt far Bus number 12 stops every 20min 1Km far. At your arrival at La Spezia Train Station you have to take a taxi to reach us for the firs time. Once at the place we will show you how to go around by bike or with the public transport. Historical City Center, Train station and Embarking point for the boats are 3km far. Shops and services only 1Km.
  • Serena's house was exactly as pictured. She was warm, welcoming, so friendly and unbelievably helpful. You have your own private guest house (if no other guests are staying) and the bathroom is great. The house is really private and picturesque. Breakfast overlooks the vineyard. We had a car so getting to La Spezia and Porto Venere were very easy - without a car I think you would have to take a bus from Serena's into the city (I believe the buses only run around 7:30am and 10am). We drove and parked in order to take the train to Cinque Terre. I can't wait to return to Cinque Terre and stay at Serena's again!

    Lauren2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Going to Cinque Terre? If so, Serena and her family are wonderful hosts in very nearby La Spezia (area train pass is valid from La Spezia to Cinque Terre to Levonto). For us, it was like staying and living in a postcard. Generations of her family own most of that valley. You will have a sunny breakfast with a view of the quiet terraced homes. Her two dogs and cat are friendly and will quickly accept you into their "la familia." Her parents are jovial and kind. You'll be able to manage communicating even if you don't speak Italian. Your room will be a mini-castle with all walls of your room and bathroom made of rocks and boulders. Very romantic and one of the more unique rooms of our lifetime of travels. Serena is organized and at check-in had all the info we needed to do our explorations. Nearby Cinque Terre (10-12 minutes by the train that serves those seaside towns?) has many touristic options (for this UNESCO World Heritage Site). You may want to also add a day to your vacation just to relax in your room or the very large patio overlooking the hillside. It will be a La Familia "slow down and enjoy" experience. Would have added a third day to our stay, but was pressed for time to move on along to be able to get to Monaco in time for the International Fireworks Competition. Would recommend Serena and her home to anyone.

    Rebecca2012-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time hosted by Serena's mother Nadia. Serena was away and communicated well through email. Even though we don't speak Italian, and Nadia spoke only Italian, we somehow communicated together, and received some great travel tips. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location for easy train ride to the Cinque Terre.

    Ben2012-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Serena went out of our way to meet us by La Spezia's fire station and then to guide us to her b&b. The room was very clean, cute and modernly furnished. The 2 dogs were very friendly. The accommodation is situated over the harbour however the nice garden does not overlook the shipyard. Serena's mother provided us with a simple but nicely presented breakfast. We also had access to a small kitchen. It is possible to park the car for free around 30 mins from the train station from where to head to the Cinque Terre.

    Maryanne2013-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We (two couples) stayed 5 nights at Serena’s B&B at the end of our holidays. It was a great experience! Unfortunately we have not been able to meet Serena personally but Nadia, her mother represented her very well and was a very pleasant host. Although we were not able to speak any Italian and Nadia did not speak English very well we have been able to communicate rather well. She twice cooked a lovely tasteful local meal for us. The area around La Spezia is very beautiful. Of course we have made the boat trip to Cinque Terre and we visited Portovenere and Lerici which are also very beautiful villages. We did some hiking in the environment and enjoyed swimming in the sea. We had a very good time.

    Igor2013-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Serena was absolutely great. She is nice, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the garden enjoying the sun. The room and bathroom are really nicely decorated and perfectly clean. We also have the possibility to cook in the evening which is a plus if you want to have a rest after a whole day visiting the area. Serena's parents living aside are very nice. We were feeling at home. I really recommend to stay at Serena's place though you should be ready to walk a little if you do not have a car. La Spezia is an ideal place to go visiting the area : lots of bus and trains.

    VERONIQUE2014-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Serena and her family are the most friendly, warm and welcoming hosts you can imagine. We spent five summer days in the cozy atmosphere of the place, had breakfast in the shade of olive trees, were greeted by the two friendly dogs and could always turn to Serena and her lovely mother with questions and problems (if we had had any). We already recommended this place to our friends and family and would love to come back some time. All the best for you!

  • Marina and the apartment were both wonderful! She was so kind and helpful and the apartment was beautiful and very clean. The terrace and view from it were wonderful. We were only in La Spezia for one night but after checking in, we wished we were staying longer! One of our best airbnb experiences... Highly recommend!

  • Wonderful stay! Marina was a perfect host! The location was perfect for exploring Cinque Terre the following day. Marina printed out various resources for us to use in planning the details of our trip, which helped us a lot. The apartment is very comfortable and nicely decorated (Marina created all the artwork on the walls). Even when we had a minor issue during the stay, she corrected it in a matter of minutes. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

    Travis2016-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marina was definately a 'super host'. She picked my friends and me up at the train station, and the tourism information provided by her was super valuable. The location of her house couldn't be more convinient. Only 5 mins walk to train station. And the supermarket is just downstairs. From the balcony of the apartment, you can enjoy nice view of surrounding mountains and blocks. If you would like to visit Porto Venere and Cinque Terre and just want a handy place to stay, just choose this.

  • The owner gave us very clear instruction of how to get to the apartment from the train station. So happened we arrived at the right time that she even give us a ride from the train station. Even if we have to walk, it would be just a few minutes. I was amazed by how well organized and well equipped the apartment is. Clean and nicely furnished. The own gave clear instruction for everything you need to know for staying in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped that you can easily make your own dinner. The bed and blanket are clean and comfortable. Keep up with he good work and I strongly recommend this apartment for anyone

  • Such a great experience to stay in Marina´s apartment in La Spezia. Very good location, excellent and comfortable apartment, all facilities around (supermarket, bakery) and very near from the train station. Only few minutes from Riomaggiore (one of the Cinque Terre places). Marina was so kind on giving us detailed tips about the cinque terre visit tour and about the places to try local food. I would recommend Marina and her apartment. Great choice and good price and you will not regret for sure!

    Ricardo2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Marina was a great host and provided great information for our short stay. The apartment itself is wonderful - super clean, very comfy bed and couch, great little kitchen and nice sized bathroom. The location was perfect, close enough to the train station for super easy travelling. I would highly recommend Marina's place if you are going to stay in La Spezia - it's absolutely perfect!

  • Marina was a splendid host to begin with. She gave us a detailed run down of the town and ensured us we are ready before she left! Her apartment was amazing and highly recommended! Its 5mins walk from the central station where leads your to Cinque Terre in no time!

  • Excellent Host. At our arrival Marina came to take us at the train station and welcomed us with very useful information about La Spezia. The apartment is close to the city center, recently furnished and extremely clean. All needed tourist info (including maps, info leaflets on the surroundings, where to go and the best restaurants) was to be found at the apartment. Marina was extremely helpful for all our needs during our stay.

Our house is a small farm, we are located in countryside, totally surrounded by nature, inside the Cinque Terre Park but away from the very crowded villages. Are you travelling on foot? Before to book the room please send me a message, I would like to give some additional info about our location and how to get my house. We are also able to pick-up you from La Spezia Centrale train station but we need to know it in advance. Ciao!!! David & Roberta
Do you like to stay in the countryside, in the middle of the nature, completely surrounded by greenery ? Our house was an ancient share cropping farm of 1600, totally renovated in 2005. Today it comprises 25 magnificent acres of land and woods. Locanda del Papa is located in the ancient Commune of Carpena, on the hills behind the Cinque Terre( Riomaggiore ), a few feet from the Foce Pass, from where the view extends to La Spezia and the area contained between Portovenere and Lerici called the Gulf of Poets. There is no problem with parking, since the property is totally enclosed and the access road is entered through a gate. We are renting on Airbnb our favorite two rooms: Room of dreams and Room of Silence. Both rooms have private bath and wi fi internet connection ( in the room). So please look at our photo album and choice your favorite room and let me know which one do you prefer. In winter the rooms are heated from a central furnace assuring the maximum comfort and in the largest rooms there are also wood stoves with visible flames. In the summer there is no need of air conditioning. Nature provides it with its cool evening breeze.
I know that many of you wish to visit the Cinque Terre. Well, this is a good place. We are 6 km from the La Spezia RR Station and the train is the best means of reaching the Cinque Terre (it takes 8 minutes to Riomaggiore and the Via dell'Amore (Lovers Lane). We are also 7 km from the embarkation point of the passenger boats that in the summer visit all the towns along the Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre. By car you can reach many places. We are 15 km from Monterosso and 20 km from Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre. La Spezia is very close with its famous naval museum and civic museum Amedeo Lia. Portovenere, designated by UNESCO in 1997 a World Heritage Site, is only 16 km away from our House. Lerici, with its enchanted bay and its beaches certified “Bandiera Blu” (Blue Flag) for their cleanliness is only 12 km away. Tellaro, designated one of the 100 most beautiful small towns of Italy is 4 km from Lerici.
  • David and Roberta were WONDERFUL! They were truly our favorite hosts during our 15 day stay in central Italy. They were warm, helpful, and spoke wonderful English, which, at that point in the trip made things a little less stressful:) This American could only learn so much Italian while planning her wedding! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast absolutely divine.

  • We stayed in the downstairs suite with an amazing view! David has a lovely property and it was easy to access by car. David and his wife are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was the best we had during our trip :)

  • David and his wife are completely dedicated to his guests. Kind, generous, they give us all we needed for Pau, our 7 monts baby. Our bedroom was like a little apartment, with a kitchennete. Excellent for our needings. David explain all you need to know to reach Cinque Terre or wherever, with maps, timetable, prices. We had a big terrace where we could see the mountains, forest and little villages. Also it's a very quiet and relaxing place. Congratulations!

  • After a very warm welcome David and his wife were very helpful with recommendations and explanations to discover the surroundings (for example a hike to cinque terre) ... The room was very nice and clean and for breakfast you could have whatever you want :-) it was a great time! Thanks!

  • Locanda del Papa is amazing! The B&B is in such a wonderful location. David and Roberta's home definelty lives up to expectations from previous reviews. Roberta picked us up from the train station, David offered us some lovely Vermentino and they both provided lots of great information for our stay. The breakfast was delicious. The room where we were staying was clean, bright and had everything we needed.

    Aoife2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous view from this location! We couldn't get enough! Welcoming hosts, Roberta greeted us with a nice glass of wine and a rundown of the farm's history while the kitties made us feel right at home. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning with a taste of their homemade olive oil and jams (which we were anxious to purchase). Great hosts, amazing view...a nice way to top off our trip to Cinque Terre!

  • Marina really is a super host! She gave us a very warm welcome and shared lots of valuable tips. The apartment is perfect: great location (near the station and city centre), clean, comfortable beds and got everything you might need. The neighbourhood is calm and feels safe. I would gladly recommend this place to a friend! As for La Spezia: it's a good starting point for exploring the Cinque Terre and other places nearby!

  • Awesome stay near the Cinque Terre. Really clean, great host, great location, really wonderful experience. If I ever return to the Cinque Terre, I will definitely stay here again.

  • Letting was exactly as describe. The host is a lovely person and very accommodating.

  • Marina's place was just as she described. She picked me and my friend up at the train station and drove us a few blocks to the apartment. She was prepared with materials on how to navigate the nearby Cinque Terre as well as suggestions for local restaurants and bakeries. She even gave us a welcoming bottle of wine! Thank you so much Marina, it was amazing.

  • We were very very pleased with house and the host! Location's perfect and the house is immaculate. The bed was super comfortable it was hard getting out of it the next morning. Marina was kind enough to pick us at the station and showed us around. She even stocked-up some breakfast! All in all, a grade A stay! Well done Marina!

    Ida2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Marina wonderful host, met us at the train station, handed a bottle of white wine. The apartment is on the first floor of a small house, separate entrance and has everything you need for life and more. I recommend to stay in this apartment for Conque Terre!

  • Marina was a wonderful host. From the first time I contacted her to enquire about the flat, she was helpful and very quick to respond. She stayed in touch with us to confirm travel plans and even picked us up from the train station. The apartment located in a beautiful villa, just minutes away from the main train station, the center of town and the ferry. It is bright and airy and has a beautiful collection of artwork created by Marina herself. We would definitely recommend this place. It's in a great place for those wanting to visit Cinque Terre!

    Alisha2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Marina's place was fabulous. She was very gracious, meeting us at the train station and taking us to the apartment...she was also very patient, as our train arrived a bit later than scheduled. She was easily accessible by text during our stay and was very helpful in guiding us to good restaurants in the area. Her place was exactly as shown in photos. It was bright, spacious, clean and located in a quiet, yet convenient area near the train station. We only stayed one night, on our way to Cinque Terre, but I would absolutely choose to stay at her place again if we are in the area during the future. Thanks Marina!

Cozy, comfortable, quiet, central, fully equipped home, ideal for families and groups. Fully renovated in 2017! 4 minutes walk from the train station and perfect base for visiting Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso), Portovenere, Lerici.
House "Nautilus" is a comfortably furnished apartment situated in a late 800 building, in the center of old town La Spezia, very close to central railway station and car-free zone. We offer two rooms, a double and a suite, a bathroom and a kitchen. Our apartment is an ideal starting point for trips and excursions to Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, Sarzana, etc. All the main means of transport terminals are nearby. All the essential services (shops, markets, restaurants, laundries, internet centers, parking lots, taxi, bycicles) are available in the immediate vicinity. We'll be very happy to provide information, suggestions and material about places to visit and public events like the "Palio del Golfo" (a very popular rowing competition taking place the first Sunday in August). We are currently planning to integrate the offer to our guests with trips in our private boat to the Golfo dei Poeti. It's the best way to appreciate its natural beauties.

  • Guido was a really nice host. His place was big enough to stay at least 3 people. very clean and convenience. lot of cooking tools and 2 single beds + 1 double bed. actually I'm not sure the location was great coz I got there by car. (easy to find by GPS) If someone wanna go to 5terre, it takes 25min from the place.

    Chanho2014-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed in Guido's place in La Spezia while visiting Cinque Terre.. The location was conveniently near the train station and it was only another 15 min train ride to get to Riomaggiore. His place was very nice and was a 2 bedroom flat we got all to ourselves while we were there. We were out of clothes and needed to do laundry and Guido was nice enough to search for the drying rack to hang our clothes. The piazza near the B and B was also nice and relaxing to walk around compared to Roma's busy center. Next time, we hope to visit La Spezia a little longer and stay at Guido's place again.

    Angelo2011-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Guido's apartment was a real gem, spacious, clean and close to everything. Guido was very helpful and provideda a lot of information about te area and it's attractions. A great value.

    Patrick2012-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Guido was very welcoming and helpful, met us on arrival, and provided us with lots of information on the Cinque Terre, trains, boats etc as well as a thorough orientation to the apartment. The apartment though very central , faces onto a quiet street so is vey peaceful at night. It is light, very clean, with 2 large bedrooms and lots of space. Being so close to the railway station, as well as ferries, makes it an ideal spot to stay if visiting the Cinque Terre. We also enjoyed La Spezia and were so glad we chose to book Guido's apartment. Our only concern regarding the apartment was that the beds in the twin bedded room were extremely narrow (ie too narrow to be comfortable for an adult), as were the sheets. I am sure this could easily be changed. Overall we had a great time here and would definitely recommend the apartment

    Susan2012-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Guido was a fantastic host when myself and 5 other friends went to stay in La Spezia. His flat was in a great location (right near the train station to get to the villages of Cinque Terre but also in a perfect spot to explore La Spezia too). Guido gave us some fantastic restaurant suggestions and had lots of information available about the local attractions. The bedrooms were both a good size for all of us to sleep comfortably. I would definitely book with Guido again if I ever go back to La Spezia or Cinque Terre!

    Kerry2013-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • I travelled with three other friends and stayed at Guido's apartment for only one night. Despite our brief overnight stay at the apartment, we found it to be clean and spacious. Well located (only 5 minutes walk from the central train station). We arrived late (10pm) and Guido was still available to welcome us at the apartment. Definitely a recommended place to stay while at La Spezia or with intentions on visiting Cinque Terre, like us.

    Zai Liang2013-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome place. It is spacious, well-equipped; high speed internet; mounted flat screens in bedrooms. Very clean with shiny Italian tile floors. Ideal for a couple traveling with grade-school children. Child's room includes a play loft furnished with toys. Excellent distraction for rainy days or before dinner time. It faces away form the square, street and is on the second floor; therefore, it is quiet. It is walking distance from Ghirabaldi square and the train station. Ghirabldi square is a pedestrian area loaded with cafes and shops. There's ample parking at the La Spezia train station for about 18 euros a day. The tourist office at the train station offers two-day passes to Cinqueterre for 23 Euros. Trains run between thirty to forty-five minute intervals. One can arrive at Monterosso, the furthest town in thirty minutes. This is an ideal location if you want to visit Cinqueterre and not overpay for a cracker-box of a place and not drag tour luggage up the Riomaggiore hills.

    Victor2014-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Guido was wonderfully gracious - especially since we hadn't been able to get through to him to advise him of our arrival time. We arrived at 10 pm at night and asked to use someone's phone who was nearby the apartment since we weren't getting through with our phones. When we reached Guido he said he'd be there in 10 minutes to let us in which he was. The apartment was by far the nicest airbanb we have stayed in and seemed bigger and more luxurious than described.

  • Valeria was very friendly and picked us up from the airport with her daughter. She didnt speak good english, but then hardly does anyone in La Spezia! But her daughter did and was very helpful with tips from both her and her mother. The apartment is cozy , neat and clean, and a 5 min walk from the nearest bus stop, which gives you a chance to appreciate this beautiful little town.  Apartment: wifi worked, there is a washing machine which was awesome as we had travelled for a week already, kitchen had pots and pans for cooking, mocha pot and coffee for a must do morning mocha, air conditioning was a treat. Location: brisk 5 min walk to nearest bus stop, about 25 min into town, supermarket is near the 3rd/4th bus stop, La Spezia is an awesome little town and the vibe on a Saturday is crazy!

  • I stayed one night in Valeria's apartment for the trip to Cinque Terre. Eventhough I made a reservation in the last minute, room was very clear and well prepared. Valeria was very kind and I enjoyed comfortable stay. The apartment is located in close to the train station and it's perfect for Cinque Terre visit. I strongly recommand Valeria's place.

We were able to leave the car there and walk to the station (20 min) to visit the cinque terre. Thanks again Valeria!

  • Valeria's apartment proved to be perfect for the last two days of our trip through Northern Italy, both as a place to get some good sleep in a decent house and as a base for our planned visit to Cinque Terre. We stayed with our 15 month old son, the apartment is very comfortable and modern. Valeria and her lovely daughter Laura were great hosts and provided us with some nice tips for our trip to Cinque Terre, like boat and train schedules, but also for a great fresh seafood / fish joint in La Spezia. If you want to visit Cinque Terre, this is a place to stay. We would definitely come again!

  • We really loved staying at valerias apartment! It is really nice and the air conditioner was a bliss during the hot August days. We actually never met Valeria but her daughter Laura who let us in and explained everything in great detail. We felt really comfortable and it was easy to contact valeria and laura if we had any questions. We would really recommend this accommodation to everyone and would definitely come again :)

  • The place was great, close to the train station and easy to use this location for visits to the Cinque Terre. Andrea was such a lovely host, he couldn't meet us at the train station and sent his mother to meet us (which was great so we didn't get completely lost in arrival). Check in was easy, the room was clean and bright (as in pictures), and Andrea was easy to reach for questions and helpful suggestions on things to do, see, and eat nearby. Overall my boyfriend and I had a great experience and would happily stay again!

The apartment is even better than that shown in the photos. Not a big room but definitely more than enough for 2 people. Most importantly, it was v clean and the room was v comfortable. • Simply delightful! I highly recommend this charming apartment to anyone traveling to Cinque Terre. I was exhausted after traveling for more than 24 hours from Johannesburg, and Giorgia went above and beyond by meeting me at the train station to take me to the apartment. She recommended some great spots for dining - tailoring all her information to my interests and even offered to make reservations for me. I was so grateful for her help in coordinating with my next airbnb hosts to get keys and check-in. Her maps and explanation on transport were a godsend and allowed me to make the most of my time here. This is true Italian hospitality! The apartment is very convenient to the train station and has everything you could need. I only wish I could have stayed longer as I truly enjoyed my stay! Thanks Giorgia!

There's also free parking on site if you have a car. About 2 mins walk from the apartment, there's a bakery called Panificio Rizzoli Marcello where you can get focaccia and other breakfast items. Giorgia is super friendly and helpful. She provided maps and train schedule for our convenience. She even left a bottle of wine for us! We'd definitely stay with her again!

    Nicole2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights to explore Cinqueterre and it was a perfect location. The apartment is near a grocery, a coffee shop, the train and only 25 mins walk to the ferry. Giorgia was a perfect host. She recommended to take the ferry for Cinqueterre and we don't regret it as I think it's the perfect way to see it. The apartment it's exactly like the pictures. I really recommend it. Thanks again Giorgia :)

  • Giorgia was a very welcoming and gracious host. Her apartment is very clean and beautiful. She was very accommodating with our checkin. We arrived at the apartment much later than expected, even then Giorgia welcomed us and made reservation for us at the resturant. She even drove us to the restutant and guided us through the city. Her resturant recomendations were excellent. Overall we had a very pleasent stay at Giorgia's apartment. Highly recommended! We would gradly return to her place for future visit.

the best place to reach the 5 Terre !!!!
The house is suitable for 2 people, and is composed of a kitchen, a living room, a double bedroom, and a bathroom. Is situated in the outskirts of La Spezia, a few minutes from the center, in a quiet area in the middle of the green, and lets achieve the three most popular destinations in the area (Porto Venere, Lerici and 5 Terre) in about a quarter of an hour. The entrance is independent. There is also an excellent opportunity to park close to home. The bus stop is at the exit of the house. For walkers: continuing the climb, you reach the top of the hill, enjoying a view that embraces the whole city. then you can go down the other side, cross the city and go back to the apartment.
Hilly and quiet, surrounded by greenery and a great view of the city and the sea
  • Emanuele and Barbara's apartment is great. Whilst compact, it has everything you need including an amazing view! The climb up the hill is definitely worth it. Emanuele and Barbara kindly picked us up from the train station which is about 20-30 mins away by foot, so was appreciated with our backpacks. The apartment is clean, comfortable and if you like cooking, it has a well stocked kitchen and there's a supermarket not to far away too.

  • The apartment was very neat and clean, had everything you need and a beautiful view from the balcony. It's very quiet. Thanks for having us.

    Maria2012-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a beautiful stay in emanuele and barbara's flat! Nice flat, with everything you need, and a wonderfull view from the room! The must: take your lunch on the room's terrace, watching montain and sea! Well located if you want discover Portovenere and Cinque Terre by car! Manarola is a beautifull area, and just 15min buy car! Recommand it a lot, and the hosts are very nice!

    Aurelia2013-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and cosy appartment in La Spezia. Quaintly experience due to the location next to the locals. Space for parking is available on the street but not on a reserved place. Narrow streets! You can reach the wonderful cinque terre by car, by train from the main train station or by ferry at the harbour in aprox. 30 minutes. Really worth it, but very crowded though!

    Marcus2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I adored our stay at Emanuele and Barbara's place! It was located in a quiet, safe, and incredibly picturesque part of town. The place was clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated. Only a short walk to the train, buses, and the boats which visit nearby towns. Check-in was hassle free, we were even given a ride from the station. There were maps and useful guidebooks provided as well!

    Austin2015-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautifully presented little apartment in La Spezia. Emmanuele and Barbara are wonderfully accommodating and still picked us up from the train station when we were delayed. The apartment is in an OK location - it's a little walk to town but in the centre there are lots of places to eat and the trains to Cinque Terre are really regular and fast. I'd definitely recommend staying here as long as you don't mind a little walk.

    Lisa2014-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous appartment, very clean & spaceous and includes all you need to prepare food. Very freindly hosts! P.s. be prepared the house is part way up a hill

    Jennifer2013-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Emmanuel met us at the station as arranged, this made it very easy to settle in. The apartment is quite charming and the view is beautiful. Walking to town is not too bad but getting to know their bus times is a very good idea.:-) for the trip uphill after a day exploring.

  • This accommodation was absolutely fantastic, beautiful views and very well situated, stunning apartment. The photos don't do it justice. I wish I could give it more stars. Gianluca was so accommodating with us getting in so late after major train delays. He kept in constant contact and was waiting for us at the train station to transport us to the apartment and carried our rather large packs up all of the steps. He also gave us detailed information on using the apartment. Truly fabulous host. We wish we had booked more nights. Thank you so much Gianluca.

  • Is there a 10 STAR scale here? The best place and treatment we have experienced via AIRBNB. The place spoils you in all respects (except for parking). Great views, proximity to the piazza, sea, restaurants, playgrounds, shops, CASTLE! Gianluca, provided extraordinary support helping us with parking, luggage and steep staircase. Fluent English also helps as it's uncommon commodity in Italy. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

    Jacob2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is fantastic! You could spend an entire day on the balcony enjoying the fabulous view. The apartment is just a two minute walk down the hill to the main plaza of Lerici. You get your exercise returning to the apartment! There is an elevator near the castle that makes the return a lot easier. Gianluca is a wonderful host! He was waiting for me when I arrived and showed me where I was able to park my car. This apartment really made my visit to Lerici!

This apartment is in the center, public transport is under the house, the station is within walking distance in 10 minutes as well as the waterfront where ferries depart. Of supermarkets, shops of all kinds and more every morning, one block away, takes place a fish and food market where you can buy fresh produce. For those who have the machine also, nearby, you can park it for the whole day with only 3 Euros.
The apartment is not large but is well divided, cheerful and welcoming.
The apartment is located in the heart so the heart of the city is practically under house. The neighborhood is quiet and even after dinner you can walk into town in the peace of mind.
  • Great clean place, a little bit of the seaside in downtown La Spezia. Carlo was fantastic and helped us unload and carry bags and was available during our entire visit if we had questions. The apartment is centrally located and transportation to Cinque Terre is super easy. We would highly recommend this place!

    Tina2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo's flat is really cosy, very clean and has everything you need, even a washing mashine. Coffee, detergent, salt, oil and such is all available, and we even got a typical pasta and pesto to prepare for dinner. Very friendly and comfortable, and very conveniently located - parking for 3 eur/day around the corner and the train station to Cinque terre 5-10 mim walk away. A great stay!!

    Petra2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo is a very friendly landlord, detailed introduce houses in and around the supermarket and other useful information for us, especially when we meet the Italian railway strike, actively query, verify the railway information for us, thank you very much, recommended.

    Ying2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo was a fantastic host. Carlo met us at the apartment and recommended places to see and restaurants to dine at. He also left a box of pasta and jar of pesto in the cupboard in case we wanted to eat at home one night - in which we did and it was delicious! The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. After two months of travelling around Europe, Carlo's apartment is our favourite! A++ service! Highly recommend.

    Rachael2016-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo welcomed us and helped us to carry our luggage all the way up. The apartment is just like in the pictures. It is very clean and smells really fresh & clean. The added benefit is that there is a washing machine and it works great too. As location is concerned, it's convenient, it takes a little more than 10 min walk from La Spezia Station. There's a Carrefour nearby, and lots of eateries near the station towards the apartment. On Friday, there's a local market a block away that one can shop like a local for clothes, household linens etc. overall, it's a great apartment to stay in :)

    Suzanna2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days in Carlo's flat in La Spezia- it is well located with shops and the train station very close by. The flat is beautiful and everything is provided for. Carlo is also a very good host, very communicative and friendly! We visited Cinque Terre which is very easy to access by train and Portovenere by boat. All the villages are absolutely stunning, and so Carlo's flat proves an excellent base to visit them all! Would recommend to anyone, is good for groups of friends or families.

    Clare2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo was so helpful and kind. A beautiful apartment. Easy distance to public transport! Highly recommend! Thank you Carlo.

  • Living in this apartment was a great experience. It is bright, clean, spacious, well designed and makes you feel like home. Moreover, it is well located, 5 min from the train station and 10 min from the seaside. It is also very convenient to visit amazing Cinque Terre park from there. Carlo is very friendly and caring host. Thank you very much for this experience. We had a wonderful vacation and if we are so lucky to come back, we would definitely stay in this apartment.

P.S. very clean Airbnb and go to the Restuarant Akua Da Oscar you won't regret it !

  • The house was ok, in contrast her attitude make us very upset. I had food poisoning on first booked day in florence so I had to miss the train, but she was just got angry with us in circumstance that she had to wait even though she didn't mention latest check in is 7 PM at first place or her page. So we had to book another place to stay in florence only because she couldn't wait for us. Even she blamed us that all happen was our fault on next day, ask us to take the trash out when we leave. I never have experience like this before in my airbnb trials. Don't go if you can hold up all this restrict conditions. House was just like as pictures.

  • Marisa was a lovely and caring host and the apartment was absolutely amazing. Everything is nice, clean and completely new. The apartment lies in the middle of La Spezia's pedestrian area with shops and restaurant. And it is also close to the harbor. We came by car which we had in the private garage right next to the apartment (for 25 Euro a day). So the car was close and safe. In addition there are public parking spots which might be cheaper. We travelled to the Cinqueterre by train and train station is also in walking distance. Marisa had a lot of maps and brochures about La Spezia and Cinqueterre which we used. All together, we had a wonderful time there. Thanks, Sabrina&Andreas

  • Marisa is a very nice host! She was attentive and helped us with parking, also suggested some nice places to visit and places to eat. Apartment was really nice and central location. Just if you are staying during weekend it could be a bit noisy, because windows are facing pedestrian street and there are some bars around.

Marisa was great host, she invite us with a lovely wine and she was also very helpful with recommendations where to go and what to visit. We highly recommend her apartment. Don't forgot to visit great wine bar around the corner.

  • Marisa made us feel very welcome and made an extra effort to meet us near the apartment when we became a little lost. The apartment was delightful. Scrupulously clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and in a great location close to shops, restaurants and the ferries. Marisa gave us great suggestions for activities that suited the duration of our visit. We were delighted with 'The Sailor's House' and our stay at La Spezia.

  • Marisa's place is very lovely, a nice living area, small but comfortable bathroom and spacious bedroom. The place is clean and light. Marisa was a great host and the communication went perfect. Be aware that the bedroom and living room are facing a street and that (at least on Friday and Saturday) you can have some noise disturbance from the bar downstairs. Overall highly recommended!

  • Eshel's place is incredible! One of the only places we stayed I could walk around barefoot without getting my feet dirty. So clean, well decorated, spacious, air conditioning, nicely updated bathroom/shower, and lots of windows for natural lighting. There are 4 flights of stairs without a lift, just a heads up! Wish we booked more than one night.

But also a short walk away from the train station and the marina. The apartment is beautiful, extremely clean and very comfortable. La Spezia is a very special place and I would be grateful to stay at Eshel's again when I return.

  • We had a great time at Eshel's apartment. It's exactly like the photos lovely and clean. Walking distance to the centre of town but still very quiet. There was even a coffee maker which came in handy in the morning. Didn't have any issues but I do have to mention the stairs. The apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator so be prepared. I would still recommend the apartment. Thanks again Eshel.

  • Andrea was such a nice host! He was very helpful even though we met him just once, he was very responsive whenever I messaged him regarding our accomodation. On the day of us arrival, he couldn´t pick us up at the train station, but he arranged his brother to wait for us there. Andrea greeted us the following day and gave us several useful advises not just about how to use our time well during our stay in La Spezia/5 Terre, but also about some great places to eat at. The breakfast coupon to the nearby cafeteria was just lovely! Andrea´s apartment is cozy, and is located just 5 min away from the train station (which we also used frequently to go to 5 Terre). We really enjoyed every moment staying there!

  • Very nice stay in Carla's apartment. Carla met us at the train station which was good of her especially considering our train was delayed then cancelled and the weather was really bad. The flat is lovely, excellent location, quiet, big high ceilings with ceiling fans so not too hot. Carla left some nice food for us in the fridge too which was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay there again!

    Lee2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This accomodation was charming and Carla was lovely. She left us olive oil, fruit, cheese, eggs, pasta etc so we were able to have breakfast there which was very relaxing.

    Stephanie2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Carla's warmth could be felt even in her chat msges before we even reached there. She had to go through an emergency throat surgery so her partner and daughter inlaw came to the station to receive us. Her apartment is a warm home away from home. She had left amazing homemade pesto, muffins and fresh fruit jams for us, along with more than enough breakfast provisions. She came to meet us the following day with gifts and gave great tips regarding everything. The apartment has two double bedrooms and one single children room with one toilet. Its in a great location, less than a five minute walk from the station so very easy commute to the cinque terre. Even the harbour is a nice 15 minute walk away. There is a nice shopping street with eating places and cafes very close by if anyone is interested. It was our best stay with Airbnb. I would love to visit Cinque terre again just for the warmth of her house :)

  • What a great place! Super friendly hosts, good communication about arrangements regarding appartment. Location top! We felt at home the minute Carla opened the door for us. Plenty of food in fridge, which was great as we arrived when shops were closed. Freshly baked muffins and the list goes on. A real gem! We will be back! Just one last thing we stayed there with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Plenty of space.

  • We loved staying here! Even though we arrived quite late to La Spezia (23:00), Carla met us at the train station to walk us to the adorable apartment. It was such a fun experience to be introduced to Italy for the first time by being walked to the apartment with Carla, her smiling husband, and her sweet dog Rosetta, down the La Spezia streets. This apartment feels quirky, vintage, and so Italian. Carla speaks great English and was so helpful to us. When we arrived, she had already stocked the refrigerator with Italian cheeses, meats, milk, eggs, yogurt, etc. We ate in for breakfast every morning and also had delicious Italian coffee before we went out to Cinque Terre each day without ever having to visit the grocery store, which is so valuable when you don't want to waste time on a quick vacation! This apartment was a great starting point for our adventures to Cinque Terre. We took the ferry the first day up to Monterosso and then hiked down to Corniglia from there, then took the train back to La Spezia, both the port and train station are so accessible from this apartment. The next day we took the train to other villages in the morning, then caught the ferry to Portovenere, which was so beautiful and worth visiting, even though the train doesn't stop there. On the way to the train station each day, we walked by the La Spezia square, and on the weekends, there was a delicious little sweets stand at which we purchased the most amazing macarons each time we passed it. The only drawback to this place, I would have to say, is the lack of air conditioning. We absolutely were NOT in need of air conditioning while we were there in late September, so it really was not an issue. Maybe in July, you would just want to consider that. There were only 2 of us staying here on this particular weekend, but if we ever go back to this area of Italy with our 3 children, we will absolutely stay at Carla's place again! It was such a great experience, and she was the perfect hostess! She provided us with plenty of advice, information upon arrival, then left us alone unless we needed her. Whenever we did correspond with her, we had immediate feedback and communication, knowing she was always available. Carla really is the perfect candidate to host an apartment like this on Airbnb. We had the dreamiest weekend! And she even provided us with home-baked muffins which were so delicious, we had to bring some home to our 3 boys!

  • Good location for visiting 5 Terre, Serzana and the moutains Liguria/Tuscany. Carla is very helpfull. Thanks a lot.

  • we are a family with 2 kids, we chose la spezia as our base for visiting le 5 terre. Carla is a great Host, incredibly generous, and helpful. she went beyond our expectation and left for us in the kitchen all needed things for a delicious breakfast. she also provided us with all the informations need to visit the 5terre and the around. the Apartment was as described, simple but functional. the apartment not missing a thing. It's in a very good location, really close to the train station (2minutes by walk!!!), 10min. walk to the center and port (to take the battello for 5terre). grocery, restaurant and coffee shop are in the around. cons. 1 bed (our bed) uncomfortable mattress. Nous avons été bien accueilli. L'appartement est très bien situé et je le recommande pour visiter les environs.

    Rania2015-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is how I hope every Airbnb stay would be. Carla's apartment was a true home from home and looked/felt like a family home. It had everything you would need and then more with the unexpected fruit and food treats for us when we moved in. La Spezia itself was ideal with a local market (bread, fish and fruit) a short walk from the apartment, some great restaurants frequented by locals and easy access to the more touristy Cinque Terre. We travelled to La Spezia by train from Florence (via Pisa) and this was an easy journey. Even more so as we were met at the station by Carla to show us the short walk to the apartment. Carla told us that she lets her apartment through Airbnb because she likes meeting people from different places - this shows and makes her a great host and a refreshing change from the more commercial operations.

Small seaside village featuring classic "narrow streets" Ligurian. Nearby there are restaurants, bars, Pizzeria.
  • Nicole's mother welcomed us very kindly. Good place to stay. The room is really next door (you walk 1 meter and you are at it).

    Pierre-Alexandre2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole and Maria Grazia are so sweet! Very kind women, that were very helpful and kept our apt clean and stocked. Very cute decoration. cozy and girly. Their kindness and attention to detail makes me wish I was 100% satisfied. Pros: The apt is very clean, renovations make it comfortably new. The wifi is strong. Awesome host. They actually came one day to take out our trash and change the sheets. There was extra towels, toilet paper, and blankets, which seems to be rare with airbnb. It's economical and a quick bus ride (once you figure out how) to Porto Venere and the 5 Terre. People in the little town (Cadimare) are kind, one guy actually gave us a ride to Porto Venere b/c no cabs would come get us. They left us wine and some bread and things for the kitchen. Nice big fridge. Great gelato downstairs made by a very sweet old lady. Cons: Construction on a building just next door, doesnt look like it will be done in the near future, for anyone looking to book soon. The bed isnt terrible, but isnt great either. The bedroom is literally 2 steps from the front door but it is infact disconnected from the rest of the apartment. So if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you have to find the keys, unlock your "bedroom" door, step into a public halllway and unlock the front door to the other side of the apt. This was annoying, and would be inconvenient for a couple. Last thing that bothered me was the AC in the bedroom. Its a floor unit that is supposed to have the vent tube go through the window... well this tube was literally tied with wire out the OPEN window. So literally couldnt close the window... completely defeats the purpose of AC. AND allows mosquitos to come in and eat you all night. So i took the curtains and tried to stuff them around the vent in the window to limit the open space for critters to fly in. I brought my own anti-mosquito plug ins, and thank god i did. Oh, and the toilet is cornered in a small space in the bathroom. wasnt in issue for me, but a grown man probably wouldnt fit easily. Our stay worked, and the place was clean and put together, but I wouldnt stay again just for the separation of bedroom and apartment.

    anastasia2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in an older house, in the second floor. In case you are coming with a lot of luggage should note there is no elevator. The living part is separated from the bedroom – two different entrances. Apartment is located 10 minutes from La Spezia, you should have a car to visit nearby villages, since there is not much to see in the area of the apartment. Nicole was really kind, the apartment is nicely furnished and clean. Would recommend the apartment and the host, but wasn't thrilled with the location.

    Nastja2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole was a very nice host, she prepared some treats for us before we arrived, which was super nice from her. We appreciated very much her hospitality. The apartment, as mentioned in the previous comments, consists of two separate places. So once you are on the corridor you have one room on your left (with separate keys) and one studio on your right. The bedroom had a nice double bed, and the studio (just on the opposite side of the corridor) has a big sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom. The fact that the room and the studio is not directly connected can be a little bit inconvenient, but if you are aware of this in advance, I think it's fine. In general, we really enjoyed our stay at Nicole's place. And loved the area. There are little cafes and restaurants on the street, we had breakfast in one of them every day. Very nice Cappuccino! Also there is a harbor in front of the building and you can rent a boat there :)

    Eszter2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Nicole. Communication with Nicole was good and clear. We were warmly welcomed by Maria Grazia. Cadimare is in between La Spezia and Cinque Terre so you need to take the bus of car to go there. There are not any shops in Cadimare but there are good restaurants! Quit village but really pretty and calm. We liked the contrast between busy Cinque Terre and Cadimare. There is a little beach in front by the harbor, but it's a rock beach, so take some shoes if you go there! :) The appartement was as aspected, not very big and the bedroom is next door. The couch is not very comforteble so if you want to chill you need to go outside.

  • Really nice and neat place, the host and her mom are very friendly and helpful. I had a good night sleep.

    Ahmed2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole was amazing about helping with everything! Gave us an in depth list of things to do, places to see, where to shop, how to get to popular destinations. Really helped us out. The location of her place is really great, local neighborhood with 3 great places to get food. Our stay was wonderful.

    Alina2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay! Nicole was so helpful from start to finish! Very clean and homely apartment and some great bars and restaurants on the doorstep! About 15 mins to the train station by car from which we explored the cinque Terre. Would happily return x

  • Very nice and lovely place! The view is amazing! Of cause this place just for travelers with car, because house is located on the mountain. Near is few local and traditional restaurants, and by car the center is very close. Thank you Daniel for helping us with late check in! And always staying in touch with us.

  • It was a great experience to stay with good view and if we have a chance to visit la spezia, we will stay again.

    Kim2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean space with a view. The shower didn't drain properly which was kinda gross, but other than that, everything was clean and tidy. I would not recommend staying here if you don't have a car. We depended on the bus and had to leave early and come home early in order to catch the bus which really ruins your evening if you want to stay out late. The view was great too!

    Bruna2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in La Spezia was great. The house had beautiful views and was very clean and comfortable. Our host picked us up from the train station the first day and was very helpful with information about getting to and from 5Terre. The house is located a long way up a hill and bus service to La Spezia is sparse, but we made it work and still had a great time. Grazie!

  • Daniele was very welcoming and creat host. Apartment was as shown in pictures. Now there is a fridge also :) We also recommend nearby restaurant.

    Silver2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you are not by car, you better choose another location. It is really far away from the city centre, so you would need to count with extra expenses for either rent a car or get a taxi. In terms of cleanliness, it was a bad experience. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere, dried caterpillar on the floor, mouldy wall and stuffy air in the apartment. If you are allergic to dustmites, you should ask for antiallergic pillows because they are all filled with feather. Honestly, it really looked like that the apartment was not cleaned for the next guests.. The wifi connection was also very weak, I could not connect to it at all. There was a pool where we could swim, however, the water was full of bugs.. The view on the picture is not from your room, but from Daniele's terrace. Last but not least, if you want to travel to Cinque Terre that means that first you need to get to La Spezia Centrale train station and then by train you can reach all the 5 villages.

    Eszter2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived very late that night at La Spezia Centrale (trainstation) but still Daniele would like to pick us up. That was very kind! A warm welcome. The appartment looked even better than on the photos! It was very clean and well equipped. The bus didn't drive very often so if you came by plane, and not by car, we advice you to rent a scooter (near the station) to drive up and down the hills. Also very nice and cheap way to explorer the cinque terres in a free way! Breakfast was not included, but available in every local bar nearby. We had a very good time here!

    Steven2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Daniele is a very good helpful host. He gave us all the information we needed about travelling around the region. The room he rents out is prefect, it has an amazing view, very comfortable bed and great decor. The bathroom is like a separate room - so big it is - with a sauna! I would recommend this place highly to those travelling by car, as I think it can be a problem to reach it from the town of Spezia by other means. Thank you for a great stay!

  • Tatiana's house was a lovely place for my boyfriend and I to stay for 2 nights whilst we visited Cinque Terre on a day trip. The town Ceparana itself is very quiet and small with limited shops and restaurants, but this is absolutely no problem and quite nice to come back to after a long day in the busy Cinque Terre. We caught a 25 minute bus to La Spezia early in the morning and the the train system was very cheap and effective to visit the towns. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone who would like to day trip to Cinque Terre or other close areas in the Province. Tatiana's house itself was such a pleasant surprise. I was extremely clean, well stocked, spacious and lovely. It had a great bedroom and bed, a large bathroom, lounge room, a large TV and a great kitchen! The nicest apartment we have stayed in on our trip around Italy so far. It is definitely good value for money. Tatiana was a lovely host, and despite not speaking English, still communicated well with us via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translate and welcomed us when we arrived. She also kindly helped us buy bus tickets for our day trip. Overall we had a great stay! Thank you Tatiana!

    Claudia2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tatiana is such a lovely and wonderful lady. She picked us up from La Spezia station as we had a baby and heavy luggage. Even though she can't speak much English, we still had a few good laughs using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translation. Her home is beautifully decorated and as described, clean and tidy. She even had lots of soft toys for our little girl. It really feels like home and gave us good rest. We visited the 5 land easily without problems. Good place for a small family.

    Claudia2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tatiana's home is lovely. The pictures do not do it justice. It's an easy bus ride away from la spezia central station and it's a great base for exploring the cinque terre and surrounding Italian riviera. She was so kind to drive us to a market in a neighboring town when we arrived on Sunday because the markets in ceperana were closed. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay and ensure you make the most of your time there. While she doesn't speak much English, she connected us to her son Marco so he could make sure we understood everything. Shes an amazing woman and we felt so lucky to stay in her beautiful home!! Thank you Tatiana!

    Ali2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment, very clean and spacious. It is in a secluded area, about 40 minutes away from La Spezia station. Be aware that if you are arriving on a Sunday there is not much open. Make sure to ask Tatiana in advance which buzzer to ring upon arrival, we were confused when we first arrived.

    Kate2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect : the flat is big, very clean and very nice. Tatiana doesn't speak English but is still very nice and easy to understand ! Grazie !

    Julien2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Tatiana was a very kind and friendly host and did her very best to make sure we had what we needed. As stated in the listing Tatiana's apartment doesn't have air-conditioning which might not have been a problem for anyone who lives in Italy but we found it very hot (we went in July) also having the windows open at night wasn't a good option as the mosquitoes were inside a lot and I got a lot of bites. I think if we had stayed in Autumn or winter we would have been much more comfortable. If you have a heavy bag it may be a bit difficult as the apartment was on the top floor and there wasn't an elevator. Tatiana' apartment has a lovely bathroom and a great kitchen which we used for cooking dinner some nights.

    Juliet2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tatiana is a great host. Her apartment is outside the city, but very easy to find if you have a car (just in front of the pharmcy Bruni). Her apartment was very clean, and she greeted us late in the evening with a big smile. She doesn't really speak English, but still managed to explain everything to us. Thanks Tatiana :)

  • Mr. Paolo and Ms. Giovanna were incredibly kind and helpful in accommodating our very large (20 person) group this weekend. They even picked up our group from the train station, which helped us avoid the hassle of having to organize taxis. The residences were very clean and spacious with amazing views.

    Maren2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Paolo was very polite and responsive to all our questions. He welcomed us with a warm smile and showed us the house. The house is very modern, spotlessly clean. It accommodated a group of 10 very comfortably. There were bed linens and towels for all 10 of us. Internet worked flawlessly. All amenities were modern and brand new. Great jacuzzi type of shower with a radio (great touch). The garden is also very beautiful The house has a wonderful view of La Spezia and very quick access to the Cinque Terre national park. I cannot recommend this property enough. Thank you Paolo! anyone.

Tivenga is a peaceful hill town, that is the perfect escape after a long day in Cinque Terre. The room has a balcony overlooking the valley. The room is completely restored and has original furniture. You have private bathroom and your own entrance
Staying here is suitable for all those who love nature and tranquility and walks in unspoilt nature. Strategic point to reach famous villages such as the Cinque Terre, hiking in the Val di Vara, visit the towns and small picturesque towns of Lunigiana. The room is double (for two people) and guests will have exclusive use of the bathroom. The entrance to the room is independent. The room has its balcony and a little fridge in the room.
La tranquillità e la vista incantevole
  • Federico and Valentina and their house in tivenga are the ultimate in airbnb and traveling. Their kindness and the beauty of tivegna are not to be missed. If you want real food, a charming and beautiful stay and to meet wonderful people this place is where you need to be. Valentine's food is not to be missed and the experience was unforgettable. Tivenga is such a great place to stay and away from the touristy part of Italy, yet accessible to everything in the area. We are so happy we chose Frederico place. We will remember our stay always and will definitely be back.

    Erin2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The decision to book at Federico in Tivegna was probably the best decision of our whole trip to Italy. I was actually looking forward to arriving after reading all the wonderful comments from other guests. The communication before we arrived was excellent and we were very happy when Federico and Valentina offered to make supper for us for a small additional charge the first night we arrived. We then requested that they feed us for the next two nights as well! Because we travelled by train they came and collected us from the station and we were immediately at ease with them and their wonderful little dog. The accommodation is exactly if not better than the pictures. The room is a place you dream of. High up on the mountain looking down at the valley with clouds below. The furnishings were really fitting and very cozy and comfortable. The food!!!! Supper and Breakfast - well what can one say? When Valentina cooks for you, you know you are indeed privileged to partake of this delicious food. She is a real super cook (master chef) and she not only cooks with her hands but also with her heart and I can assure you - you can taste it. It’s a passion for her. So with a view that is really super - super food - and an exciting area to discover, what more can you ask for. I want to go back to Italy!!! Originally our booking in this part of Italy was to visit the Cinque Terre which we did as the train is very convenient from La Spezia. And we did the best part, and that was to walk between two of the Cinque Terre towns. But to be honest after the day visit, we were anxious to get back to our beautiful accommodation and hosts and were so happy we were not staying in one of the Terre towns. All I can say is Thank goodness for the other Airbnbs that could not accommodate us!!!! Any future visit to Italy will include a few days in Tivegna for sure!!!! Thank You Federico and Valentina – we arrived as guests and left as Friends. Eddie and Sue.

  • Me and my friend had the best time in Federico and Valentina's place! The room is even nicer than it looked in the pictures. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and every little detail made us feel like we were living a romantic movie! The bed is extremely comfortable, the shower is good and everything is perfectly clean. The attention that Valentina gave us was also priceless. She drove us from/to La Spezia every time we needed, cooked for us some delicious food for a reasonable price and made sure that everything was perfect during our stay there. We also fell in love with Margo, the cutest dog ever that live with them! The best experience with airbnb until now with no doubt! :) I wish you all the best Valentina, Federico and Margo! Thank you for everything!

  • I can't say enough good things about Frederico's villa! His partner and him met us and welcomed us very warmly. His flat was absolutely beautiful as well. Very clean, very comfortable, and the view was absolutely stunning to wake up to. We only wished we could stay longer! Thanks for everything Frederico.

    Maciek2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most incredible Italian experience thanks to Federico and Valle! Driving up the mountain to their beautiful little village, we already knew we were in for a treat. Tivegna is a very old village, filled with beautiful alleyways and corridors, surrounded by 360 degrees of endless landscapes for your eyes to feast upon. When we arrived they showed us around, and told us everything we needed to know about the town's history, La Spezia, and how to explore Cinque Terre. Then Valle cooked us (honestly) the most amazing meal we had in Italy. If you get a chance, you must try her home cooking. For a very reasonable price it was truly a culinary delight! And eating our 3 course meal on the balcony, whilst looking out over the mountains, we both agreed it was one of the highlights of our lives. To be honest, we enjoyed Tivegna far more than Cinque Terre. We were literally the only tourists there. It feels like the real Italia, and lived up to the reputed hospitality. We can't speak highly enough of Federico and Valle! They are both such beautiful people, and we're now very happy to call them friends.

    Jack2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • amazing house, best BNB room I ever had. it's a medieval castle on top of a hill. Federico and his wife are very helpful. And his wife speaks good English.

  • My friend and I just had the most amazing 6 night stay in Frederico and Valentinas AirBnB, in the beautiful town on Tivegna. They were both extremely friendly, hospitable and informative. We were picked up from the station upon arrival and taken to the supermarket to get supplies for our stay. The room is cosy and cute, with a stunning balcony covered in vines overlooking the mountains. The bed looks small but my friend and I, who are both tall, agreed that it was one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in. Valentina also offers to cook for you, if you desire for only 15€ each. It was so nice to have authentic home made food after a long day hiking. Furthermore, we just mentioned each day what time we would like to be dropped in town, then what time we would like to be picked up and she would accommodate. It is 5€ each way, which is well worth it. It was the perfect getaway from the busy tourist areas, while still being close enough to venture in each day. I would highly recommend. The room, the bathroom, the shower was everything we could of needed. Both my friend and I would like to come back with our partners to rent the house next time!

    Madison2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Federico and Valentina's was absolutely fantastic! The room was great with a view off the cute balcony. They picked us up from the train and drove us up and down the hill into La Spezia as we needed and their friendly and adorable dog Margo came along for the ride. They also provided us with a lot of information on how to get around, and what to see. Overall the experience was perfect and we wish we could have stayed longer. :)

He also gave us some useful information about the town, places to visit/eat. The room was really beautiful , it has a great view, and seeing as it is on the top of the building , you can see Liguria's wonderful mountains. We also had access to the terrace. All in all our stay was more than satisfying. (The only disadvantage if I can spot any, is that the house is at a certain distance from the train station- not that far, a couple of minutes by bus) Though Mr. Antonino didn't speak English we tried our best to communicate in French! A very good option by the way!

  • Antonino is an awesome host! Really thoughtful, he made our staying pleasant. The room is perfect: big, cosy, confortable bed, clean, spotless bathroom and with a terrace with a great sunset view. Free parking near the apartment (Antonino helped us finding one, drove us back and helped with the lugagge, grazie!). The area is quiet (unfortunately if you have a light sleep, you hear the trains) but also near to the centre (about 15 min nice walk). Really recommended!

  • Hmmm, where should I start? ... Nino's apartament was simply awesome-chic and cosy, very intimate and with a great view. It's even better than in the AnB pictures. Plus, you have focaccia at the ground floor and a very nice walk to the train station if you choose to visit Cinque Terre from La Spezia. And we're really glad we met Antonino. He actually taught me some serious Italian and made me think of going back soon. And he went above and beyond to make our staying pleasant. Definitely a 5 out of 5! Grazie mille

    Cami2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and clean apartment, good bed, all important buses close ( eg Portovenere), good choice for one or few nights.

    Jaroslav2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was an absolute delight staying with Antonino. The room was incredible - so big, spotlessly clean, the mattress was extremely comfortable and overall it feels more like a private hotel room and is only a 10 minute walk to the city center. Even better than the incredible room is Antonino. He is a delight and a true gentleman. He allowed us to check in early and told us what to see and do in the area. Although there is a language barrier you don't feel it. Communication both in person and through air bnb was excellent. Nino made us feel so welcome into his home, he was even kind enough to drop us at the train station on our departure and share a coffee with us. I couldn't recommend this stay more.

    Alexandra2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The room is so big and comfortable, making you feel as if you are in a 5 star hotel.not kidding! Although the host can't speak English very well, he employ all available method to make you understand everything, even we can communicate in depth to emotional matters with each other. And also he is learning English is school to improve his service despite his age. The host will pick you up at La Spezia. And he is extremely enthusiastic. His attitude towards Airbnb is the best I've ever seen.

  • The place is a more hotel-like experience with a private washroom by the bedroom and soaps, etc. laid out. Antonino went way beyond what we expected, taking us to an excellent pizzaria and even driving us between his place and the train station. This is an ideal place to stay while checking out the Cinque Terre.

    Colin2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Antonino is a charming host. This fact combined with a spotless room, a private bath and a huge balcony with a breathtaking view added up to a perfect stay. Thanks Antonino, we'll come again.

Beautiful apartment in downtown Portovenere by the charateristic "caruggi" and a view to the outstanding landscape.
The flat has every comfort such as TV, wi-fi, kitchen, Nespresso machine, bathroom with shower and bidet, bedroom with a king-size bed and a ceiling fan and a big wardrobe.
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Andrea's place. It was exactly as it was described and had lovely touches throughout; lovely pictures and Portovenere items dotted throughout. The apartment had everything we needed and was in the best location. Portovenere offered us a beautiful relaxing yet eventful stay...there are things to do and it was busy but without being overly crowded. When we arrived there was a festival on so it was loud due to music on the waterfront, there are indeed lots of crowds..this isn't typical of Portovenere and it returned to normal after a few hours. I think it was the perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment. Portovenere is a great place to stay when exploring a range of other places. There are lots of options to visit various places in a day...cinque terre, pisa, various other islands. You can catch a boat or get a bus for half an hour to la spezia where you can take a train to many places! Portovenere has a beautiful main Street filled with shops and patisseries and there are lots of Portovenere eateries. There is a gorgeous church on top of the hill which offers lovely views of the Bay. The water front has many restaurants offering a range foods and prices to suit everyone. We enjoyed many lovely meals. The most amazing part of our stay was the wonderful , breathtaking view of the waterfront. It is unbelievable and you never get bored of looking out across the water. The sound of the water lapping against the boats in the morning was very relaxing. The room did get quite warm but the powerful fan in the room helped although it was quite noisy in the night. Opening the main window and bedroom doors offered a nicer breeze. I can't fault our stay, everyone was so helpful and I only wish we could have stayed longer!! We Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!!

  • This is a wonderful apartment in Porto Venere. A 3 minute walk from the ferry which will take you to La Spezia or Cinque Terre. There is a lot to see in Porto Venere. It has an interesting history and buildings, with lots of great walking. The apartment has fantastic views from the living room/kitchen of the marina and islands opposite, and as you leave the front door you step out into a delightful little street with shops selling delicious focaccia and ice cream...little cafes and charming restaurants. It was quiet and peaceful at night even if animated during the day. A fabulous place to base yourself to see the Cinque Terre. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, it was great to have a small kitchen to enjoy making an occasional meal and we especially appreciated the washing machine! We have no hesitation recommending Andrea's apartment and we will definitely return at some stage.

    Robyn 2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Andrea's was very pleasant! We loved the location and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome. Wonderful places to eat nearby. We walked everywhere and couldn't have been more pleased!

    Ellery2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location! Very central, close to shops and bar, with a beautiful view of the sea. Francesca and Andrea were both extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at Portovenere.

    nika2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly what you see in the photos. It's in a great location in Portovenere on one of the main streets that is perfect to find/walk to shops, restaurants and places to sightsee. It is also a two minute walk to the ferry and/or bus & taxi stop, so transport is very easy. The apartment is cozy with a great view of the water, a full kitchen and a comfortable bedroom that fits 2 people. The hosts were very helpful with recommendations and were good with timing for check-in and communicating before and after. I would recommend to friends and stay here again. Thanks so much!

    Kimberley2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality! The description is very accurate and my stay was wonderful. This apartment is in the middle of Portovenere and is accessible to everything. I refused to stay in La Spezia because it is too busy there, however, Portovenere was phenomenal. The host made my stay much more enjoyable, I was greeted with local food, great hospitality, and an espresso machine! Anytime I had a question, I received a response within minutes! Thank you! Definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to check out Cinque Terre.

    Tyler2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea's place is spacious and clean and the view is amazing!

    James2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Portovenere and the apartment were both great. The apartment was perfectly located on the main street and with a view of the sea from the kitchen (with no obstruction). Fabiola (Andrea's mother) greeted us kindly and showed us the best place to swim and where to have apertivo and dinner - both of which were great. Overall we would highly recommend staying in this apartment and in Portovenere, we had a great time and wish we could spend more time there.

  • Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The location was great, in that, it is conveniently located to the train station in La Spezia which made getting around an absolute breeze. The apartment itself was cute, cozy and very clean. Chiara was a terrific host as well. She checked in a few times during my stay to ensure everything was ok. All in all, I'd highly recommend staying here!

  • An absolutely beautiful flat close to the train station. We stayed here as a home base for a day trip to Cinque Terre. It's about a 5 minute walk to the train station so it was perfect to get to and from. The place is well decorated and was one of the nicest places we stayed in, if not the nicest during our trip to Italy. Chiara was super accommodating and even took our bags for us early on our check in day so we didn't have to lug them around with us. If you're in La Spezia I would highly recommend you stay here!

  • Chiara was a perfect host - generous in check in, left us a bottle of wine and cold water, and was kind about the fact we arrived twenty minutes late. Her apartment is lovely, very beautiful, and very clean. It is really near the centre of town/station and had everything we needed. The church bells rang to wake us up in the morning - we found it charming, but others may not appreciate it as much. Thank you so much Chiara, we had a wonderful stay!

  • The flat is beautiful, big and very clean. Alice is extremely nice, she was prepared with maps and recommendations about the area which was very helpful. The flat is very close to the train station which was perfect to us - we weren't really interested in La Spezia but more about Cinque Terre, Lerici and Portovenere. Very easy to get to these beautiful places. Highly recommended!

    Vivien2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Alice's home was lovely!! Spacious, clean and the air conditioning was a relief after visiting 5 Cinque Terra for the day where it is very hot in summer (take swimmers). The view from the apartment was beautiful, looking over the town of La Spezia while you ate a home cooked meal. Alice's communication was great before and during our stay, she met us on arrival and provided us with a pre marked map of recommendations and options of sight seeing.

  • For the people that are searching for a great place to stay in La Spezia or surroundings dont look further and go for a stay at the spacious appartment of Monica!!! Monica is a very good hostess that will do everything possible to give you a nice comfortable stay, me and my girlfriend can say we get a very nice stay during our week in La Spezia : ) Monica claims her English is not that good but she is very good to understand. Like i already wrote the appartment is spacious and located in a typical characteristic Italian (i think 1920 or 1930) building with a modern interieur inside the appartment. Also there is a balcony that has a view over the street in front of the appartment. The location is perfect because everything you need is close by, you want something to eat? Walk thirty seconds and your at the local mercado or you wanna go out for shopping? No problem the city center is a two minute walk. Sorry for my bad English but i hope you will understand my text and make the choice to have the same experience like we did!!

    Jerrel2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • What perfect place to stay. Monica was an amazing host with excellent communication and willingness to accommodate us with our requests. Extremely easy access to the ports and station for visiting cinque terre. A local market footsteps away is an added bonus. 5 stars all around Monica! Ciao!

  • Great apartment in La Spezia! Very centric and close to the train station (which you will probably be going to, to take trains to the Cinque Terre villages). The apt building has an elevator (great if you have big luggage). The apartment itself is pretty spacious and it looks recently remodeled; the space has good light as well. Our stay was pleasant. The place truly looks like in the pictures, you will not be disappointed. Monica was in constant communication with us and was flexible for check-in and check-out. This was big for us as we didn't have a fixed train itinerary.

  • Staying in LaSpezia at Fabio's apparent was fantastic. Checkin - Fabio came to station to assist us and took us direct to the apartment. Provided all the details of the good restaurants around. Some shopping places. Explained ways to ferry, bus stand and train station. Guidance - Fabio gave perfect guidance to travel by Ferry to the Cinque Terre as we were with infant kinds. Location- The apparent is 5 to 10 min walk from train station, ferry terminal. Bus stop is close by. The grocery stores and other convenient stores are just a few steps away. Cleanliness - the apartment was very neat and clean. Very pleasing for our group. Other aspects - Fabio is full of positive energy, very friendly and very much organized. He has emailed a short guide on apparent and things close by. The best things on Cinque Terre. Ferry timings. Maps. All this helped us to organize our trip much smoother. Personally Fabio also helped us by buying for us the best olive oil and Italian herbs for Pizza. Much appreciate and many thanks. Definitely recommend this apartment.

  • Do not hesitate to stay at Fabio and Eleonora's beautiful apartment. It was very secure, extremely clean and comfortable for our stay. Fabio was very helpful, explaining about the apartment and also the local area and Cinque Terre. One tip; if you are catching the train from La Spezia station to one of the 5 villages, you may want to buy your ticket the day before if you can. This will help you on the morning of your journey as the line was very long to buy the 'Cinque Terre card' The ticket is validated in a machine on the platform on the day of use. We had a wonderful time in La Spezia and enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. (Also looking at the beautiful ceilings!)

  • Eleonora and Fabio made our trip a truly enjoyable one. They not only provided us clean, convenient, and well designed large apartment, but also gave us helpful detailed information regarding transportation, communication, tourism, and restaurent. My family and I liked the apartment so much and we would recommend it to anyone who wants to travel to both La Spezia and cinq terre.

  • Awesome place. Great hosts. Fabulous location to explore the Cinque Terre. The location was on a quiet side street but close to a great pedestrian shopping and eating promenade. Wow

    derek2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • IF I could have given it a 10 star, I would have. Perfect place! Perfect location to get to the train station to get into Cinque Terre. Very easy to find. Less than 5 minutes walk down the street to the train station, where you can also park your car if you driven. Which we did, and where we left our car for the 2 nights. A nice 10 minute walk down a pedestrian street only down to the ferry if you choose to take it to Cinque Terre. I would suggest doing it one time, and just take the train back. Plenty of places to eat in the area if you choose not to eat in Cinque Terre. A grocery store a block away where you can stock up on food and supplies. As for the unit, it's Beautiful! We were the 2nd group to stay there. Recently renovated. The pictures doesn't do it justice. My wife and I said this would be a place we would love to live in. Spacious, Modern, High ceilings, great finishes. Fabio was able to keep the original historical charm as much as he could have. As for the owners. They were amazing as well. Fabio who I dealt with, was so quick in responding. Was very helpful in checking us in and out. He went above and beyond! Don't hesitate to book this place! You won't be disappointed. I can't find any fault even if I tried. Thanks again Fabio and family! Looking forward to coming back and staying for longer next time.
