Vacation Rentals in Sapelo Island

Just booked in Sapelo Island

Enjoy this quiet cottage on a secluded island. Walk seven miles of undeveloped beaches. Sometimes you will stay on the beach all day and not see anyone but the sea gulls. Watch the bald eagles hunt, pick up sand dollars or just relax.
The island is accessible by passenger ferry to residents and guests only. All of the beachfront and most of the island is owned by the State of Georgia and is undeveloped. The University of Georgia Marine Institute conducts research from there facilities at the South End. Cottage is a fully furnished 1 BR 1 BA with a queen fold out sleeper. Guest must bring ALL food and necessities since there are no stores or restaurants on the island. Two bicycles and beach chairs are provided. We have another cottage next door and are down on an irregular schedule. The whole island is so secluded. There is very little light pollution at night so it is great for astronomy. The human population is so small that there is almost no background noise.

  • We couldn't have asked for better accommodations or a better experience. Access to the truck gave us access to every available part of the island. The beaches, especially Cabretta, were full of serenity and empty of people! The locals were friendly and welcomed us to a cookout where we had all the amazing food, drink, and laughs we could take in. We're already thinking of our next trip. Thank you Kathy, thank you Sapelo!

  • This is the perfect place to get away from it and disconnect. You are on an island with few other people. We were on the main beach for two hours the one day with no one else there the entire time. I can't understate the fact that the price of the rental includes use of a vehicle during your stay .... this is a game changer, since you can't have your own vehicle on the island. The house was very clean and Kathy communicates extremely well and covers every detail. We saw a fair amount of wildlife. Everyone on the island is extremely friendly and the island seemed very safe and free of crime. I recommend a tour of the mansion on the island. It only cost us $2 each for a self-guided tour of this slice of history -- a mansion that had been visited by presidents and other prominent individuals. If you like wildlife, find out what permits or tours of the island are available, otherwise, only a small portion of the island is available to the public.

  • Just what I was looking for. I have always wanted to spend time on this special island. This cottage was the perfect accommodation. Kathy was a wonderful host.

  • This cottage was perfect -- small and quaint with a nice front porch. The pictures we viewed did not do it justice. The cottage was very clean with everything you need. You have access to two bicycles, beach chairs, grill and a truck to explore the island. The availability of the truck was one of the main reasons for selecting this cottage. I am so glad we did. You really do need a vehicle to get around parts of the island. Owners were very attentive -- checking in to make sure everything was fine. As far as Sapelo Island, it is just a little slice of heaven on earth. I hope it will stay that way.

  • Kathy and Doyle were wonderful hosts! Doyle met us at the ferry on the way in and drove us to the cottage. The truck and Jeep were easy and fun to drive, and the bikes and beach chairs were a great addition. They invited us to join them and some neighbors at an oyster roast, which was delicious and exceptionally generous. I highly recommend staying with them!

  • This was our second trip to Sapelo, the first time in August of last year, and we had to come back! We have stayed in the Mint cottage, both times, and have had amazing experiences! I am actually writing this review, while still on the island! Last year, we came as a couple, and enjoyed every single moment here. This year, we brought our 10 year old, and he had his own space in the cottage, and LOVED being here! To start, Sapelo is not a touristy spot. There are no restaurants, no guided tours through the town, no stores to buy souvenirs. This is a beautiful island, with a very simple goal: Come here to relax, unwind, and enjoy the quiet! As part of your reservation, you are provided with an F-150 pickup, that can fit six people inside, and all your stuff (which, you will need to pack EVERYTHING, including food) fits perfectly in the bed of the truck. Driving to the beach is super simple! It's about a 2 mile drive, but you don't even notice. You get to take in the scenery! Kathy and her family have always been welcoming to us, and even though we have never met her, we have met her wonderful husband, her kind son, and we are always greeted by Kendra on the dock! You are dealing with quality people, who always make sure you have everything you need. The cottage is beautiful! It seems small, when you initially drive up, but it's really not! You have a full kitchen, equipped with all the utensils, cookware, etc you could possibly need, along with full size appliances, and a nice size living/dining room. You have a washer and dryer, which REALLY comes in handy, especially when you spend all your time on the beach. Prepare to have a great time, and simply enjoy your surroundings! Reconnect with your family. Spend time with your significant other. Lay on the beach, all day. We will be back, every year!

  • I have travelled all over the US and Europe for many years and have cooked up quite a few special memories. Last year we took our girls (then 5 and 2) to Cumberland Island, GA and since then I have been saying it was one of my best vacations ever. This year's vacation on Sapelo surpassed last year. We were met at the ferry and shown to the truck that Kathy let us borrow for the week. We then followed our greeter to the cottage, which was clean and extremely functional. From that time until the day we left, things just got better and better. Kathy was quick to respond to emails and went above and beyond in providing exceptional hospitality. Favorites of the week: birdwatching (our favorites were the wood storks and the eagles), gator watching, playing in the surf every day, rain (it is great to see the island in different phases), telling ghost stories, relaxing and playing games, exploring every part of the island we were allowed to visit, and so much more. Least favorite: the little biting bugs, which only bothered us as we got to the dock and prepared to leave. Everything was magical; I'd go back to Sapelo anytime! It would be especially fun to see during different seasons.

  • A wonderful experience- on a magical island! If you are looking for high rises, golf courses, and traffic- this is not the place for you. This was a perfect getaway for my wife and I and it beat our expectations. Kathy's cottage was clean, well-equipped, and use of the truck was great. Kathy was helpful from the moment we made the reservation until we left the island. She provided very specific, detailed instructions to prepare us to know what to bring and how to maneuver around the island. Truly off the beaten path and lost in its own time, Kathy's cottage is a perfect place to experience the island. Recommend the island tour with Dr. Dunn and scheduling to eat at the one restaurant, Lula's kitchen. Be aware that planning carefully for this trip is essential for a good experience, but worth your efforts. It is a great place for a remote vacation, with you bringing all of your food , but loved the luxury of wifi to keep us in the loop. We hope to return!

  • Time at Lucy's retreat on Sapelo Island is a gift ---- a step back into admiring the sunset, experiencing the beauty of a deserted beach and enjoying a good laugh. What a special place! The apartment is cozy, very clean and delightfully stocked - we will be back asap!

    Kelley2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • From the sand roads with no road signs, to the wild and untamed landscape, there is a way of living on Sapelo that requires quite an adjustment from the world most of us live in now. Lucy has taken great care to assure that that transition is an easy and graceful one. It seemed to us that she has thought of everything - from meeting us at the ferry, to giving us a car to drive (with a much-needed map inside), to providing a winch for raising our luggage up to the third floor apartment above their living quarters, to all of the beach equipment you might need. The space where you stay is more like a small thoughtfully appointed apartment that you would love to live in than the typical Airbnb. It features a well-stocked kitchen with a great layout for cooking your meals (no restaurants on the island). There is a lovely nook for eating, a futon sleeper sofa for sitting, a wonderful little library with many books about this magnificent island, and the bathroom is there to meet all your needs, and the bedroom is wonderfully spacious and complete. There are also chairs, a table and umbrella on the third-floor deck that are surrounded by tall pines that won't allow the wind through without issuing that lovely whispering sound. A great place for tea or breakfast. There is a grill there as well. Quite an attractive and comfortable place. Lucy and Mike are beautiful souls who have a deep passion for where they live and love to share their stories about it so you might have a more enriched trip. They are kind and generous souls always looking to help and ensure your stay is magical. You will never regret the trip here once you walk onto the pristine beach and experience an amazing expanse of sand and sea standing by yourself. It is so uncrowded and so untouched by human hand that nature continues to rule its destiny. It is perhaps the most remarkable gift on the entire overdeveloped East Coast (there is not a single house on the entire expanse of beach). In four days of walking and laying in the sand, we experienced no more than five people crossing our paths. We finally said one day, "What are they doing on our beach?" It is that remarkable. Yet for all its magic, Sapelo Island is at a crossroads that requires the help of all people of conscious thought to come to its aid. It is a microcosm for the way the world is playing itself out and the more people who experience its magic that care for preserving its soul, the better. It needs our attention. Lucy and Mike have been telling this story for more than 23 years and we really appreciate the chance to take up the banner. Just don't too many of you come at once!

  • Lucy's place is the absolute best!!! Its always super clean and the island is like no other place! I simply can't describe it. The natives are awesome! This home is such a gem and Lucy is so awesome! I highly suggest this rental!

  • Lucy was a great host. She was very helpful on all our adventures. Sapelo is a magical island. We look forward to returning soon!

    Ansley2016-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice stay at Lucy's place. She strikes the perfect balance between being accessible but not intrusive. The apartment is homey, private and comfortable. The loan of a car is a huge plus since it is not possible to bring your own vehicle to the island. The apartment is at the top of two flights of stairs, so it would not be accessible for someone with a mobility impairment

    Renae2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • It is a big adjustment to come to a place as remote -and wonderful- as Sapelo; you have to come prepared. We appreciated all of the detailed information Lucy gave us before and during our stay. We had few questions and no additional needs. Having access to the beach cart, umbrella, chairs and fishing gear was very useful and/or needed. Using her vehicle was fun (and totally necessary to be able to navigate around the island), and we appreciated that as well. We felt as if we were traveling across Jurassic Park. And when we were finished exploring and enjoying the day (especially the Heaven on Earth that is Cabretta Beach), we came back to a cool and comfortable apartment fitted with all we needed. We miss Sapelo and look forward to the day we can return.

    Jessi2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were unable to access the island because of Irma. Lucy forgot to tell us that the island was shut down, so we were stranded on the dock. But she very graciously refunded our reservation money and all of our travel expenses. We thought that was very decent of her. Hoping to get back to Sapelo one day.

My place is close to Beach, Community, Library, Ferry dock. The house is very homey. Satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and land line phone. Rustic style, great breeze, tucked away in the woods away from any neighbors. . My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups. The house also comes with an 8 passenger van. This wonderful rustic cottage is a great place to get away. Tucked back in the beautiful Sapelo Island forest just minutes from the beach. Our home is in a very private location being away from any main roads. We have a wonderful 14' deck that wraps the house to sit out and enjoy the island breeze and listen to the ocean waves. The home was built in 2005 and has modern appliances and bathrooms. There is satellite TV, WI-FI and a land line phone. Since pictures were taken, there are now new flat screen smart TVs in the house as well. There is a passenger van included in the rental! It's nothing too fancy but it gets you around the island. There is no grocery store on the island. All groceries must be purchased prior to taking the ferry over from Meridian. My place is close to Beach, Community, Library, Ferry dock. • Fabulous home! It had everything we needed - solitude, quiet, comfortable amenities, and a funky van to reach the deserted beaches. Richard was point on re: communication on the ferry and logistics. We will be back next summer!!

    Kim2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's home is really beautiful. It was roomy and well equipped. The porch is amazing! Staying on Sapelo is a very unique experience, staying there with all of the comforts of Richard's was even better! Thank you, Richard.

    Christine2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The house is perfect! Comfortable furnishings and great location. Not too far from the beach yet secluded from neighbors. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our time at the house when we weren't hanging out at the beach. Best beach trip ever!

  • Weekend At Bernie's is a great house. Lyla responds quickly to all communication and is very helpful. This is my second time staying at the property and I know that my family and I will be back again. Sapelo is a beautiful and very special place!

  • Sapelo is my favorite place and this home was great for a weekend away. Jackson responded quickly and was very helpful with any questions we had. Will definitely be back!

  • If you are looking for off the beaten path then stop right here; you have found it. This place is epic. Let me put it to you this way when I need to evade law enforcement, this is the place I am going to hide out. There is no one and no other dwelling in sight. The only sound you hear is the ocean crashing on the deserted beach from the house. If you are adventurous, and I assume you are if you are looking at staying on Sapelo, there is an old trail that allows private access from the back of the house to the beach. I did not see another person on the beach or even a footstep in the sand. The house comes with a van (which looks like a get-a-way vehicle). Having a vehicle is awesome because getting around on Sapelo seems like it could be a challenge. Most other vacationers are walking or renting a golf cart. The only other house on the island that is nicer is the R.J. Reynolds Plantation. If I had to come up with a criticism then it would be finding the place. We were given a map that looked like a Red Lobster treasure map with an X on it. I pity the soul that tries to find it after sunset. I recommend bringing a sense of adventure and good company you will have a great time. I did.

Crescent View is a deep water property on the Crescent River. It was recently purchased and remodeled. It has all the necessary amenities for an enjoyable stay, from a well stocked kitchen with modern appliances, to the comfortable linens and fluffy towels. It is situated about 40 minutes south of Savannah, and about 30 minutes north of St Simons Island.
  • As a fellow host on Airbnb, I know a thing or two about the hospitality industry. With so many choices anymore, it's hit or miss at best. If your destination is the Georgia Coastal area, look no further. Tap & Jennifer's Crescent View property is the place to stay. It is a very private beautiful home right on the Crescent River with postcard views. All you have to bring is your food and even with that, there are several great restaurants in the area (tops 15 minutes). The home is very comfortable with lots of room to spread out and a back porch that you'll pretty much stay on. The beds are soft and inviting and there's 4 Telly's throughout. The Master suite is HGTV!! It has it's own dock that's great for lazy evening viewing and nature everywhere. Plenty of rocking chairs, a hammock, a couple of kayaks and a paddleboard offer something for everyone. There's a screened in side porch in case it's breezy with a nice dining table and a pass through window from the kitchen. You'll feel right at home and you'll definitely want to come again!!!! The Crescent View is a true Southern GEM!!!!

    Roger2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Crescent View is a lovely home tucked away in an intimate wooded area. We loved the spacious, open layout, the modern decorations, the abundant supply of fluffy towels, & the beautiful view from the back porch. If you're looking for a place to relax and spend quality time with the people you love it's the perfect spot. If you're looking to spend a lot of time at the beach and plan to do a lot of sightseeing, then plan to drive 50 minutes to an hour.

    Katherine2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • I could not have found a more beautiful space to spend the weekend for a program retreat. The home was absolutely beautiful, in secluded South Georgia (it's a bit of a hike to any nearby city, but definitely possible for day-trips to Savannah or Hilton head etc). The house sits above the beautiful creek (much more like a river) that runs to the ocean and rises and falls with the tide. It is a perfect space to take kayaks out on the water, take a dip before dinner, or soak up some sun! The house had everything we needed to enjoy the space fully, kayaks, paddle board, life vests, apple tv's, wifi, coffee maker etc. and the open space just feels like home. I highly recommend this home, a value for the price, beautiful scenery, and it is an upscale well designed modern home to settle into. A favorite spot in the house is the couch swing in the living room, perfect place to read a good book! Very grateful, would definitely book again!

    Liz2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to escape too. You would not know the great house that's there until you pull in the drive way. If you want to get away from it all, this is a great place to go.

    Steven2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful house for our family vacation. We loved the view and had a lot of fun with the kayaks.

    Ashley2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely gorgeous home and probably the cleanest and most well equipped place we have ever rented. The owners were extremely accommodating and easy to work with. It felt more like a home than just a rental property. 5 STARS all the way, baby!!!

    Julie2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for our party of 8 women on a golf trip. Everything we needed was there. The house is very beautiful and spacious with beautiful views. We are looking forward to another golf trip and stay in this house.

    Dale2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Crescent View provided the perfect environment for us to celebrate our friendships. Very clean and nicely decorated as shown in the pictures. There were enough towels, kitchenware, etc for us to make most of our weekend. We loved that it was secluded enough yet close enough to spend an afternoon at the beach. The view is amazingly generous for a relaxing background. We made a ton of great memories and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Quite, peaceful lot. You will love the serenity of looking over the river and the marsh from the house. Wonderful location for bird watchers, nature enthusiasts, sun worshipers and water lovers.
  • Deep Water River was a wonderful house--well appointed, comfortable, and the river views were lovely. One caution to AT & T cell phone users--we had no connectivity at the house and that was an issue for us. Also, we would have loved to have had wifi, but there was none--good for anyone planning on staying at Deep Water River to know. The hosts were quick to answer questions, and very helpful with information. I happily recommend this house to anyone! :-)

  • Our family had a great time here. The home is spacious, clean, and decorated very nicely (fitting for a coastal home). Everything worked and there were no surprises. I highly recommend this home for a family vacation where privacy, the river marsh setting, and space for everyone are important.

  • What an awesome place to spend a week. Close enough to Savannah to spend a day but really not necessary lol. We felt so relaxed there that nobody was in a rush to leave. Close to some great local restaurants, bar and shopping but not too close. My boys watched EVERY sunrise from the kayaks, we caught dinner in the crab traps, brought yards games and really just enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. The house felt like home and everyone had room to spread out. Mary, Steve, Tom and Teri....thank you for making our first family trip in 12 years an amazing one!

  • My stay at Baisden Bluff was exceptional. We came for Christmas with my family. It was exactly what I was looking for. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep and have the space we needed. The view from the house was beautiful. We took the kayaks out on a peaceful morning. Mary was great at communicating back quickly about any questions. I wouldn't change a thing and hope to visit again!

Located on 18 fenced, gated, and wooded acres, the cottage at White Bluff sits on a 35 foot high bluff giving one a beautifully spectacular view of a pristine, wide river and marsh in the heart of Georgia's Golden Isles. The cottage at White Bluff is truly one of a kind.
  • The view is nice, however the boat ramp is not on the 18 acres, the fishing dock is broken and unusable, the bugs outside and inside the home are horrible, the cottage does not have central air so it stays damp and musty, and has a damp and must smell. Also, bring your own pots, pans, etc because the selection at the cottage is small and not of good quality.

  • Jack, Thanks for opening your home to me and my family. As a military service member, moving can be stressful espcially from Germany back to the states. However, I felt like I was home again. It was a great experience. The view of the water was amazing. It is minutes away from a dock and the fishing was great. Jack provided me a list of great restaurants and activities to do in the local area. Me and my family are very grateful for all the help Jack gave us. Also, thanks for the use of your grill! Matt

  • Beautiful spot for nature lovers. We enjoyed the water overlook from the patio for our morning coffee especially and the sunset was spectacular. The dock was great for star viewing at night. The house was clean and perfect for 2 couples to share & our dog loved the huge yard. Jack was very friendly & communicated well and was very accommodating with our late arrival & showed us around. We definitely would stay again!

  • A great quiet getaway

  • Quiet retreat on the Sapelo River. Scenic view is beautiful. The bluff is high above the river and you have gorgeous sunsets. The house is a simple two bedroom that is a wonderful getaway. The fire pit was great for the evening and to help keep bugs away. Internet worked great. We would definitely return.

    Tori2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a unique, secluded getaway, this is it. We did a lot of day trip adventures, but just sitting and staring at the view would be enough. It's really an amazing place to just sit back and relax. Jack was incredibly nice in waiting for us to check in very late on Friday night. Super nice gentleman and really cares about making sure his guests enjoy the place.

    Paul2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jack was great! He showed us around the property and cottage when we checked in. He also recommended some things to do and places to eat. This is a great place to go to if you want a relaxing weekend! The view of the river is amazing and it's quiet and relaxing. Would definitely recommend for a quiet/relaxing weekend trip!

  • Mr. Daniels met us at the cottage and showed us around. Guests not used to sulfur water may want to be cautious. The water is strong but to be expected in this type of environment. We brought bottled water to drink and Mr. Daniels provided air fresheners and having lived in St. Mary's/Kingsland we were aware of what to expect. We felt very welcome. He sincerely wished us a good stay which we had. We tried the local seafood place and it was great-for breakfast too.

The house sits on the banks of two deep tidal waterways on the edge of pristine marsh amongst towering live oaks, slash pines, and cedars. The house is on a fifty acre organic farm called Canewater Farm. Its located six miles from downtown Darien.
The studio was recently remodeled with new hardwood floors. The studio has a beautiful king size bed with mini fridge, coffee maker and hot water kettle. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, private toilet and his/her sinks. The studio apartment is attached to a two bedroom ranch house that is an artist in residency called The Thicket Residency, www.thicketresidency.org Guests have their own entrance and parking.
Darien is a beautiful fishing town in the heart of Georgia's Low Country. Our coastal retreat has stunning views of the vast marsh systems and one of Georgia's most beautiful barrier Islands, Sapelo. We are located 10 minutes from downtown Darien, one hour South of Savannah, 35 minutes North of St. Simons, 45 minutes North of Sea Island, 5 minutes South of the Sapelo ferry dock. There are great beaches, resturants, historical sites and wildlife refuges within a short driving distance. Its also a great stopover on your way to the Golden Isles!
  • Amazing marsh views and scenic, peaceful farm. We had such an amazing time here and enjoyed the location and cozy house. This stay was the highlight of our week long trip throughout Georgia. Would love to come back again in the future and Ansley made us feel like at home.

    John2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had wonderful stay. The weather was a bit gloomy but the charm of the cottage and the beauty of the land prevailed. Ansley and Rafe were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The property is simply gorgeous. The cottage is comfortable and unique. We enjoyed grilling on the Weber in the rain. If you have never experienced coastal Georgia - this is a must. It is a serene and peaceful getaway. Thank you for sharing this spot.

    Miki2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ansley's place was just as expected. A quaint, quiet and romantic get-away spot. My wife and I were in town for a friend's wedding and enjoyed our 2 nights at Ansley's place.

  • Beautiful setting. Comfy bed.

  • Our trip got canceled due to Irma, but they were nice about it.

    Sean2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • There's so much new life and deep love on this quiet little farm that you can't come away unrested, even if you weren't there to rest. A friend and I ventured to this beautiful location for a demanding photo shoot that didn't leave much time for leisure. Even so, we greeted each day with renewed focus and energy, no doubt because the land is enchanting and the hosts are so gracious and giving. And the dog! Just when our shoot would get frustrating, Waylon the Great Dane would come bounding in with kisses and hugs – I really couldn't get enough of him. This rental offers all that is great about the GA coast: views, peace, nature, birds, stars, trees, fresh seafood right down the road. The room is comfortable, but you don't come here to stay indoors. Intrepid folks: bring a canoe or kayak to explore the marsh that is right outside the front door. Not-so-intrepid folks: bring some deet and ten books to read on the swing by the river. Even if you work all day, you'll love this place as I did!

Escape to this private quiet secluded island and enjoy... the sunsets and sunrises are absolutely beautiful. There's so much to do here, kayaking, biking, boating, crabbing, fishing, clam digging, oyster digging, shrimp cast netting, sunbathing, campfires, dolphin watching, bird watching, playing guitar, family picnics, family reunion and the list goes on and on. Your close to everything, driftwood beach, Jekyll Island, St Simon's Island, Tybee Island, Savannah, Brunswick, Darien.
Private Campground with boat dock. Escape the crowd and come relax by the water. This place is clean, neat and unique. It has a full bathroom with shower and commercial sized toilet, large mirror over the sink. Build a fire and relax with a good glass of wine the sunsets here are truly amazing. Or bring your boat and fishing rods to enjoy a week of great fishing. Go by boat to eat supper at several local restaurants or find a private sandy beach to enjoy the day. We are a short boat ride from Blackbeard Island. The boat ramp is about 1 mile from the getaway, and there is a local Marina at Pine Harbor with a boat lift and full service with fresh bait, who also gives great pointers on where to fish and shrimp.
I love the peacefulness and the sunrises and sunsets most of all. I like to kayak on the rivers and walk the sandbars. I enjoy riding my bike all over the area. It's very clean and safe area to enjoy.
  • We travel a lot and R's place is one of the best AirBnB experiences we have had. R is a fantastic host and took great care of us form booking to check-out. The location is perfect for an escape. The space is extremely comfortable and well stocked. We loved catching fish and shrimp off the dock, using the fire pit, strumming the guitars, and marveling at the incredible Georgia coastal wildlife. From dolphins to baby raccoons, there is plenty to see! We can't wait to come back and will surely recommend R's place to our friends. Book it! You won't be disappointed.

  • We loved our time at the Sapelo Sound river house! The property is beautiful and the house is just as described. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around, especially with the large park across the street with the GIANT tire swing. Adults enjoyed the deck and views. Drew and his family were wonderful to work with and answered our many questions quickly. We definitely would like to return!

The island has limitless activities (sailing, fishing, swimming, tours, historical sites, dining, walking, biking, etc.). Or, do nothing!
  • We loved staying here on St. Simons! It was our first time visiting and we had a wonderful experience, much of which was due to Kara's lovely home and the easy communication we had with her prior to arrival. The townhome is bright and welcoming, the view from the screened porch is lovely and everything was exactly as we expected on arrival. While the location is on the opposite end of the island from town and the beaches, we knew to expect that as it was in the description and we embraced it with a relaxed schedule and planned time at home in the morning and afternoon. I hesitate to recommend it too highly because I want this place to be available for us next time we visit St. Simons!

    Matthew2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, quiet place with an incredible view. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch drinking coffee and playing cards while watching the boats go by. Thank you, we can't wait to come back!

  • Staying here was wonderful. My wife, friends and I absolutely loved it. It's a wonderful space, great view of the Hampton river, a true paradise. It's in a secluded location but restaurants and other attractions, like the beach and lighthouse, are a short trip away. Looking forward to coming back to St. Simons and hope to stay here again.

    Brett2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to rest, relax and unwind. I loved sitting on the steps in the morning with my cup of coffee and watch the sun rise while the herons, terns and skimmers flew by. Despite the heat and humidity, the wildlife watching was fantastic. If we ever make it back there again, we will definitely try to stay here. We loved being on the "quiet" north-end of the island.

    Lee2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This condo is awesome!! Kara has everything in it and then some to make it a wonderful place to stay! The 20 minute drive from "town" is so pretty you don't even notice the time. It's very quiet and peaceful and relaxing and just what we needed. Chilly temps this week but inside is so nice we hardly noticed! Not good if you can't climb steps, but I LOOOOOVED the 3rd floor area!!!

    Kay2017-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Seculed, quiet, great pool and safe place for little ones!

    Jerry2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Kara's place is in an absolutely gorgeous spot. The location is so nice, you won't need to go to the beach every day to keep yourself entertained. Just sit on the porch and watch the boats go by or take a swim in the pool or get up early to watch the sunrise. This is an excellent place to really get away from it all. The drive to the pier is only about 20 minutes, so you're not far from the shops and beach. The house itself is Very spacious and well equipped. My mom and I stayed and needed some help with a few things, and communication between us and the host was good and helpful. Hope to come back again sometime!

Their home is lovely and welcoming and in a beautiful gated community. We will definitely make a return visit to their home!

    Joyce2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Sheri were excellent hosts. They made us feel comfortable and at ease from the get go. The room is actually better than the photos - it is much larger than it looks with a beautiful leather couch in it. The bathroom is lovely and in addition to our private areas, we had access to the kitchen, laundry and the outside porch. This airbnb is the best value for money that we have had in 5 months of being on the road in America. We had some great yarns and Chris and Sheri made us feel as though nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for the stay and if we are ever visiting St Simons again, we would definitely come and stay. We loved it.
