We had a great stay! The place was just as the photos depicted. The view was great, it was very clean, and quiet. The golf cart worked well for getting to and from town. Tom was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with! We would definitely go back! Thank you for everything!

Nice place with all the amenities and a fantastic ocean view. Both bedrooms are small but fine for sleeping. Really convenient that it includes the use of a golf cart for getting into Avalon, which is only 10 minutes away at most. The balcony is open to the adjoining units, so you can get to meet the neighbors over morning coffee sometimes and that was fine. One word of caution for the mobility impaired - the unit is about in the middle of the hillside so lots of steps from either above or below. It can be a little awkward if your bags are heavy so pack light! The unit has a washer and dryer in hallway which is shared with the adjoining unit and quite convenient. Wi-Fi worked great and the TV was set up for Vudu access so we watched a movie under our Vudu account. The tap water seemed to taste a little odd, so I only made coffee the first day. We bought bottled water at the Vons in Avalon. All in all it was a great stay and we would stay here again with a group of up to 5 or 6 people.

We really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous location that reminded us of a Greek Isle Villa. The view is stunning and the space is very updated and comfortable. We enjoyed the patio in the early morning & evening and the fireplace was a nice touch on the Spring mornings. We would recommend this location to anyone looking to unplug and enjoy Catalina Island.

Great home. Amazing views. Had a couple small issues wifi password and tripped a breaker but Tom very responsive and handled. Golf cart is especially helpful. Wish we had more time. Thanks Tom.

False advertising, there is no wifi, or pool/hot tub access, was not given a key to the room upon arrival because I was told, "Oh, you won't need it, this is a safe neighborhood". While I don't doubt the intent of the host(s), I also don't want my things stolen. Seriously unprofessional host, would never recommend this listing in its current conditions.

This condo was awesome! Very cute and a great location. Super clean and simple!

I recently stayed here with my husband, parents and 4 month old daughter. The unit is large and easily could accommodate more adults. We found it close enough to walk to from the docks and down to the shops, even with the baby. It has beautiful views from the unit. Having access to the golf cart was awesome! The only complaint I have is that I wish the complex was ADA accessible. I had a hard time with our stroller getting up and down the stairs to the elevator every time. The unit also has many stairs (was not a problem for us since our daughter is not crawling yet but could be an issue with a toddler). Other than that we had a great time and would definitely consider coming back in the future!

The view is beautiful, we ate all of our meals on the patio overlooking the ocean and the historic casino. We loved having the golf cart and exploring the island. Kim was excellent in answering questions and quick responses.

Best place to stay, period. Just a short 5 min walk to town and breathtaking views from but the main floor patio and bedroom patio. The condo was exactly as described and pictured. Kim is also a fantastic host. Really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I would not stay anywhere else on my next visit.

This is a great place to stay. The condo was very clean and only a short walk from the main street. The golf cart was a great plus and made getting around fast and fun.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kim's place. The weather was dark, gray and rainy for our 3-day stay, but we didn't let that stop the two grandparents, two parents and two baby girls from having a good time. The 2-year old loved riding in the golf cart to explore the island with grandma and gramps, and having the two bedrooms and full kitchen made it so much easier to manage the naps and varied menus required to feed the little ones. When we had a question about the wifi, Kim was very quick to respond. Great host!

Gorgeous place, very spacious for our family vacation. Just far enough away from the main drag to have quiet - but easy to walk to everywhere you'll want to be throughout your stay. We'll definitely be back!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The place was fantastic and Karin was a great communicator!

Karin was a lovely host. The property was smartly decorated and clean, located conveniently near downtown Avalon, and easily met the description of the unit. Don't be put off by building's exterior or that it is in a condo complex. We did not feel crowded by the other guests and those we met were very friendly offering a "local's" perspective or recommendations. Given Karin's hospitality, flexibility, and accessibility would highly recommend working with her on any future stay to Catalina. The only issue worth mentioning is that the property is only 3 blocks from downtown on a slight incline from the water. When get to the building, will need to navigate stairs before getting to the back elevator to access the unit. Though our group opted for the stairs most of the time, if carrying luggage, groceries, or gear of any kind, this may present an obstacle for some (or it could be i just had teenagers who wondered why Uber did not pick them up at the dock).

Karin was easy and accessible to speak with in every issue. She texts back within 2 minutes. She is gracious and hospitable. I never met her in person but she made me feel like family. A truly perfect experience! An extremely beautiful home!!

Convenient to Avalon shops but very quiet because of it's location up the hillside. Clean and comfortable, kitchen had the basics, the view from the balconies is awesome. My mom and all the grandkids were comfortable and happy. It was close enough to everything that even the 4 year old was able to get around entirely on foot. The en suite bathrooms were an extra plus for our 2 families.

My wife and I and two of our adult children spent a long weekend in this lovely Catalina condo. Karin was wonderful to deal with and even left a nice Merlot with a Happy Birthday message. The accommodations were spectacular and made us feel as if we had checked into a large suite in a luxury resort. My wife said it was her best birthday ever and that it was the perfect get away weekend.

This house is amazing. Just 3mins walk to the sea, close to the shop. Both of the rooms can see the ocean in balcony.

Jan was an incredible host. She was an excellent communicator, super responsive and personable. Jan was very quick to respond even during the holidays. Jan made you feel welcomed even before your arrived because of how thoughtful, thorough, and helpful communication. When you arrived at the property, Jan had a welcome basket of fruits, snacks, and beverages along with a welcome note. The property was spotless and incredible. The views from the balconies in both rooms had view of the shoreline. The property had all of the amenities of an upscale hotel except with all of the personal touches of a home away from home. From the moment you walked into the front you, you felt a rush of excitement and relief that you were able to get such a deal! It was the perfect place to rest after a day of exploring the island, and the perfect place to wake up feeling energized to face the day. The property was centrally located within minutes from downtown with quaint boutiques, restaurants, the museum, activities, tours, and the museum. It was a stone's throw away from the dock and the casino. We had a first-class experience from A to Z. Our only regrets were that we could not stay longer and that we did not have the pleasure of meeting Jan in person. We plan to return to the island. We could not imagine returning to the island without staying at Jan's place. The quality of Jan's property and her customer service were as much of the ingredients in our overall amazing experience as was the beauty of the island. Thank you, Jan!

The house was attractive, clean, spacious, and very conveniently located to a food store, the museum, and all other venues in the town of Avalon. Since we needed to walk everywhere, this was very important. The kitchen was very well equipped, and when we arrived there was water and soda in the fridge and a few snacks to get us started. With four guests coming and going, it was great to have a combination lock on the front door, so we didn't have to worry about keys. And Jan was thoughtful in letting us check in a few hours early, so we didn't have to lug our suitcases around town between ferry arrival and check-in.

This is a great place to stay on the island. Very upgraded throughout and would make a very nice stay for two couples. The walk up the last bit is steep but Jan does note that clearly for you but not too much of an issue. Quality throughout and convenient to shopping and restaurants. You will not be disappointed here.

Jan was an amazing host! She arranged for an early check in which helped us out immensely and also arranged for a person to go the town home and recover my keys and get them to the heliport so that they could make the next flight over to the mainland after I had forgotten them and was stuck in Long Beach. Now if that isn't an amazing host I don't know what is. The place was clean, comfortable and bright. It was also a short walk to all the great shops and dining. It couldn't have worked out better for us. Oh, and the beds are super comfy!!

Great location and easy access to everything. I recommend staying at this location. Beds are perfect, slept really well and has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Really loved our stay at Jan's place in Catalina. The place was beautiful and well decorated and right in the middle of town. Everything was in walking distance and Jan made us feel at home. She was very responsive to all our request and was an excellent host. We will for sure be staying here again on our next trip to Catalina.

Hamilton Cove is a lovely area about a mile from the main part of Avalon. It is quiet, beautiful, and the views are truly mind-blowing! Carrie was a wonderful host, communicated clearly, and offered everything we needed for a perfect vacation. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Perfect!

Outstanding view and location

We highly recommend Carrie’s Villa at Hamilton Cove. We selected this Villa based on Carrie’s positive reviews, as we have learned the hard way that pictures can be deceiving. In this case, the pictures did not do justice to the AMAZING ocean views from Carrie’s beautiful Villa. We were stunned as we walked from room to room and could see panoramic ocean views from EVERY single window. We were also impressed with the size and functionality of the Villa. The Villa is comfortable, inviting, and family friendly not stuffy or overly fancy. The kitchen is open and in the center of the Villa so you can participate in whatever is happening in the living room, dining room, and on the veranda as you are cooking or making drinks. The kitchen is well stocked and had nice stainless steel appliances. We read there was laundry but assumed it was in a common area. We were pleasantly surprised to find Carrie’s full size washer and dryer in the unit. This was extremely helpful as our twins enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and we could throw their wet towels in the dryer to be ready for their next pool trip. The beds were perfect and you can see the ocean while relaxing in bed. It was hard to tell from the pictures but the entire veranda is Carries and she has four separate seating areas outside of each living space. My husband & I enjoyed the relaxing table and chairs outside the master suite while our twins next door had their own seating area outside their secondary bedroom. The third and largest area is outside the living/dining area. We pushed the two tables together outside the living room and had breakfast as a family every morning overlooking the ocean. We ate most of our meals on the veranda and used the huge indoor family dining table mostly for games at night. We loved that you can be as active or relaxed as you desire. We checked out golf putters at the guard station and played on their 18-hole putting green. It is a beautiful real grass putting green. We also checked out a basketball and played on the oceanfront court. My husband worked out every morning in the health center which also had panoramic ocean views. He saw dolphins playing during one of his exercise sessions which was great incentive to keep his eyes fixed on the ocean for the next four days. The boys loved going up and down the stairs and I enjoyed driving the golf cart and parking close to our adventures. This was our first trip to Hamilton Cove and I was afraid four days might be too long, it was not. We had to tear ourselves away, there was so much to do we plan to stay longer next time. We fell in love with Carrie’s Villa and will absolutely be staying here again.

Carrie's condo is fantastic. We've stayed at Hamilton Cove before and Carrie's unit is great because it is only a few steps from the street and all of the rooms have great views (not all units have these features). Like most units at there, the decor is a little dated, but overall it is really comfortable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Catalina.

This place is amazing. The photos don't do it justice. The views from every room are amazing. The sunrise is jaw dropping. Kitchen has everything you would need to cook, the beds are unbelievably comfortable. The place is immaculate. The golf cart is a huge plus for this rental and is parked super close to the entrance to the unit. There is a fitness center and pool/hot tub but we didn't get to use them. This is definitely a must book rental for Avalon. Can't wait to come back. Now a few tips for making your stay easier than ours. 1. Carrie mentions this in the directions to the unit. But don't do what I did and try and map the condo from the address listed in the listing. It will lead you to the Management Company office in Avalon. TAKE A TAXI!!!!!!! from the ferry terminal to the unit.The condo isn't walkable. We arrived after dark and made this mistake because I'm a man and don't always read the full directions. We ended up paying a local to take us in his golf cart Bc the cab company didn't answer their phones. Not the best way to start a vacation. Lol. 2. Although there are 2 "full" bathrooms inside the condo. The master bathroom only has two sinks, a toilet and one large bathtub - no shower. Being that there is a non-stop drought on the island. We felt odd wasting water on a bath. If you are staying with multiple people at this property just note that you will all have to take turns sharing 1 shower. It's not a huge deal. Just kind of inconvenient if you're trying to get ready all at once. 3. The gas station is a bit of a trek from the unit. It's located about 5 mins around the other side of Lovers Cove. Give yourself some extra time when you checkout to make it over there. There is only one pump and the line was a little crazy for us on a tight checkout schedule. Everything else was amazing. I do wish that the rental had more info about usage of the fitness center and pool/hot tub on the grounds. We had to drive around to find them and didn't know the operating hours or if we needed to bring towels from the unit or if there were some provided. As a result we never ended up using it. There is always next time. But like I said. This is definitely a must book rental for Avalon. Can't wait to come back.

Jay was an incredible host! The phone lines on the whole island went out and she drove around looking for my parents to make sure they got checked in safe and sound. She really went above and beyond and my parents had the time of their lives in this great flat!

Perfect place to stay and explore catalina.

Jay's place was fantastic and perfect for my husband and I. The 1 bed room end unit was clean, updated, roomy, and had everything we needed for our stay there. There is a full size day bed downstairs in the living room as well. The location is fantastic- a less than 5 min walk into town and. 30 sec golf cart ride. The town home will be perfect for a couple with one or two small children or three adults. It is a quiet family complex so I would avoid booking this place if you want a party atmosphere. We took advantage of the golf cart and my recommendation would be to do the same. It's expensive to rent the golf cart on the island and it's a great way to get around. Jay was great in communicating and had no issuers getting questions answered before during or after the stay! She provided us with detailed information so there was no issues at all. Highly recommend jays place and we will be back!

I took my wife to Catalina for her Birthday and wanted to make it a special weekend. We definitely had an amazing time and were very happy with not only the unit but also Jay's prompt responses to all our questions. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a place to stay that is clean and very spacious. Much better than a hotel room!

Great location for beaches, restaurants, and center of town. Clean and spacious 3 bedroom unit on the bottom floor. Can easily walk to unit from the ferry. Brian was a great host and we appreciate how easy he made things.

The host (Brian) was so quick to get back to all my questions and concerns. The house was great! Quite roomy and spacious. We had a blast on the island and being able to save some money and cook breakfast and dinner really made it affordable. We would definitely stay here again!
