Heredia is the capital city of the Costa Rica province of the same name, and features year-round warm temperatures. Though sometimes cloudy, this province is a dream-come-true for those that love outdoor adventures, even with the wet season bringing rain during May - November. Tranquil with just enough excitement, Heredia is perfect for weary travelers that need relaxation, and for seekers of big and small adventures with plenty of activities from hiking to white water rafting. Visitors can spend a quiet day horseback riding, or a fast-paced day packed with mountain tour bikes. No matter what brings a traveler to Costa Rica, the perfect activity can be found in Heredia. Eco Tours For the nature lover looking for a truly tropical experience, a Heredia eco tour delivers a big punch. From volcanoes to national parks to amazing waterfalls that let their visitors get a taste of sustainable tourism in full swing, Heredia offers an exciting, central location for you to set up camp for a few days. Make sure you visit the beautiful La Paz Waterfall in Vara Blanca. Rafting Tours The water is warm, come on in! For a white water rafting tour that keeps you moving, come to Heredia when the river will be moving the fastest – between the months of July and December – and visit the largest county in the area, Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. The Sarapiquí River reaches peaks of class III and IV rapids, and offers some amazing opportunities for nature-watching and spotting some beautiful wildlife. Canopy Tours A canopy tour, also known as zip lining, is a great way to get a sky-high view of your beautiful surroundings. While in Heredia, you’ll have the opportunity to take an hour and a half (roundtrip) tour at the Rainforest Aerial Tram. The Rainforest Aerial Tram is adjacent to the Braulio Carrillo Nacional Park , and true to its name, this location will give you spectacular views of the forest and its plant and animal life. Another popular spot for canopy tours in Heredia, Costa Rica, is in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. If you are looking for the ultimate zip lining adventure, this spot offers 15 platforms that you can explore. Golf Resorts Fore! If golf is your way to unwind and enjoy the outdoors, then the Herradura Hotel Golf Resort and Country Club needs to be toward the top of your 'must golf' list. A short 5 miles from the San Jose International Airport, this highly rated golf resort can help you get to that sweet spot that balances a social day with natural resources. Heredia is also home to the Residencias del Golf Hotel, a great place to stop before you head to downtown San Jose. Relaxing In a place like Costa Rica, just being outdoors at all can be more than enough for any traveler. While the province of Heredia has so much to offer, sometimes you just want to kick back and relax.. in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world of course! The resorts here offer amazing views, like the one you can see of the Braulio Carrillo National Park if you stay at Cibeles Resort Hotel Cabinas & Spa. If you have a deeper budget for your rejuvenation activities, you can find upscale spas in Cariari, conveniently located near the San Jose International Airport. Braulio Carrillo National Park Braulio Carrillo is one of the most easily accessible national parks in the region, as there is a highway that runs virtually right through the park. With the Poas Volcano to the west and the Irazu Volcano to the east, Braullio has one of the most scenic landscapes in the country. Home to at least five different life zones and virgin forest, travelers can witness a diverse array of wildlife and aviary species in action throughout various elevations. The park is also home to the inactive Barva Volcano that sits 9,534 feet high above the lush greenery. Spanning roughly 62 square miles, this massive volcano was believed to have been active more than 3,000 years ago. Today, Barva boasts the Barva Lagoon, one of the most visited lagoons in the country. Because of the high altitude of Barva, there is an abundance of wildlife as well as diverse weather conditions. La Paz Waterfall Gardens La Paz is the No. 1 most visited privately owned ecological attraction in Costa Rica, and boasts the most famous waterfall in the entire country. In addition, this wildlife reserve is home to more than 100 animal species, a lake where you can cast a line to catch your own trout dinner and experience a stunning butterfly garden. The waterfall garden is most often visited for the hiking trails that meander through towering, cascading waterfalls. The Magia Blanca waterfall is the most majestic and is perfect for photographers who want to take memorable photographs from underneath the flowing water. City of Heredia Known as "The City of Flowers," Heredia is a beautiful community tucked between small mountainous towns. The crown jewel of the city is Central Park, or Parque Central, which is surrounded by unique architecture and lined with mango trees. Ancient buildings that border the park date back to the 18th century, including the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, which was built in 1797. The House of Culture, or La Case de la Cultura, is also situated on park grounds and is one of the top attractions in the city. As the old home of President Alfredo Gonzalez Flores, the building in itself is historic. It also contains artifacts and unique exhibits for travelers to learn more about the culture of the city. Barva The small nearby town of Barva is quaint, and dates back to the 16th century. Boasting a colonial atmosphere and unique architecture, Barva is an ideal stop for any history buff. Basílica de Barva, is one of the top attractions here, dating back to 1767. This stunning church is next to a small courtyard with contemporary sculptures and colonial, adobe homes. The mask-making studio of Francisco Montero is another point of interest, and should not be missed. Café Britt Looking for a delicious cup cafe? Located within the town, Café Britt is one of the most famous coffee roasting companies in the country. It was founded in 1985 and was the first gourmet roaster in the country. Since then, the place has become one of the largest attractions in the country, and has welcomed more than 500,000 visitors after opening to the public in 1991. The tour of Café Britt includes a visit to the gardens and lush green areas, a walk through the coffee roaster, a skit by giant puppets teaching about Costa Rican folklore, history and culture, and a tasting of coffee and chocolate created on-site.
  • Alex was great and very concern on our needs, we will go back again!!

    Eduardo2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The first place was the cabaña and I don't truly recommend it just because of the fact the place smelt was terrible, the lights didn't illuminate enough and also there were not hot weather on the shower and it's the most terrible thing because the wether is really cold in there. I told Alex about the inconveniences and they moved us to a suite that was really clean, well lighted and hot water on the shower and the sink. The view was really awesome and the ladies the assist on reception are very friendly and polite.

  • Nice place but be sure to do checkin before 22:00. We told we would arrive late but couldnt find anyone. Found a nightguard who did not know about our booking. Breakfast expensive extra. Nice pool. Great view. Priced very well.

  • We loved Carlos! The owner and his family make the house. Great humor, very helpful and careful. Great breakfast: would definitely recommend it!

    Carina2013-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Luis Carlos' place was perfect for what I needed. He and his mother (who was there during the day when I arrived, while he was working) were very kind and helpful. The house is adjacent to their house and is well kept up with kitchen and washer dryer. It feels private. They are working on some updates to the water system to increase the water pressure but I personally had no problems with the shower/water system. I would definitely stay there again.

    Kenny2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • My sisters and I stayed in this cute guest house and it was perfect. Luis Carlos and his family were incredibly hospitable. It's a little far from where things are happening in town, but totally worth the distance. Can't recommend it enough!

    Breanne2012-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Luis was there to meet us when we arrived at 7:30 in the morning. We asked if there was any place to eat near by and Luis and his mother offered instead to make us breakfast which was delicious. They made us feel very welcome. The only thing to be aware of is that the water shut off at about 8pm and returned on at about 1am accompanied by some noise in the bathroom for about 15 min. That being said I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay near the airport. Thanks Luis and Family :)

    Sherissa2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to be. Thank You for everything.

    Jan2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We were treated so well by Luis' entire family. They picked us up at the airport (so nice as we just had a long trip) and made us a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast. It was a nice way to arrive in the country. We met Luis, Melissa and their folks who shared a drink he makes from a fruit called Nancy. It was a lovely and strong nightcap. :) This is a very typical and comfortable Costa Rican home. It was neat to see how coffee beans are grown right outside our door. The other side of the house shares a wall with a clothing store that plays thumping music from 9am-5 or 6pm. The volume varies, not always so loud and we were not there most of the day. The house was very clean with fluffy white bath towels. The shower is different that what we know back home--The temperature is like a warm tropical rain. They called us taxis when needed and translated to the cab driver where we were going. The Ark herb farm was a lovely and close day trip giving personal tours and ends with a really beautiful tree house. Santa Barbara is a safe place to walk. We tried a restaurant Melissa recommended just down the road and they lent us umbrellas to walk there. The supermarket is just down the street past the main square, also an easy walk. A great was to begin or end a visit with a glimpse into everyday life in CR.

  • Our family of four stayed at Luis Carlos' place for 5 nights in January, and it was a wonderful experience. We used the home as a base to explore Poas, take a coffee tour, go into San Jose and generally hang out. We had four of us split into the two rooms with beds large enough for us to share, two to each. The house was well equipped with everything we needed including a very good kitchen, a great spot to eat outside, and strong wifi. Luis Carlos and his family live next door and they were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were delivered some fresh fruit from their garden one day, and another day they brought over some tamales for us to share. There was always someone available if we needed anything or needed to ask a question. Luis Carlos and his sister speak very good English - a bit of Spanish may help otherwise but we got by just fine (I speak some Spanish, the rest of my family do not). In all, it was a great experience and we would not hesitate to return someday.

  • House as described, convenient stop off on the way from the airport. Buses into Alajuela and San Jose are cheap and easy, about 45 mins but the rush hour can add an hour to this!! Local shops not far. We didn't eat out in Santa Barbara but really liked the Jalapenos restaurant in Alajuela, wouldn't recommend wandering around here late at night though.

  • Christian's place was exactly how he described. So clean and neat. Sarah who gave us our keys was such a delight after the long drive. This place was very safe and perfect for 3 adults to sleep. We were able to get easily and safely to the airport. We will be staying again on our next trip. Thanks, Antoinette

  • I wasnt there long enough to give a 5 star review. But the short time that i did stay there christians place was clean and comfortable. Wish i could of stayed in heredia a bit longer!

  • Very clean, modern and cute. I will defiantly return in the future and keep this place bookmarked!! If you need anything Christian is quick to answer any questions and help out in any way he can. He helped my mom and I get good directions to the mall nearby and just ensured everything was taken care of. He even climbed the tree outside to let us try some water apples. Awesome place!

    Briana2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was okay

    Caleb2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Christian is a very attentive host. He was always accessible by phone and returned my texts immediately. His place is newly remodeled and everything in it is clean and new. The stay was quiet, and it took the taxi about ten minutes to reach the airport. This place is great for a couple or a business person. It is small for a family with toddlers, but if you are just staying to go to the airport it still works, and there is a backyard kids can run around to. We ate pizza next door and shopped at the grocery store a block or so away for lunch and breakfast. Thanks Christian!

    Keshia2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great for a short stop over due to the close proximity to the airport. Friendly, helpful host offering a small yet clean and comfortable modern appartment. Close to a great fresh food store and easy for public transport. Was perfect for what we wanted and our budget. Thanks Christian for an enjoyable stay :)

    caroline2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Christian was kind enough to accommodate us even though we checked in extremely late. We were able to pick up the keys at the pizza parlor next door. The place is small but well equipped, comfortable and clean. It was great for our quick overnight stay.

    Liz2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy (small) and clean apartment. Perfect for us as it was only an overnight stay for us to be at the airport early next morning, and it was very close to SJO. Would recommend for an overnight stay for this reason, but not for long term, with a large family you would walk all over each other and it is far from downtown San Jose. The neighbourhood is very quiet, there were 3 restaurants nearby and two of then were closed, on a Tuesday. If you take a taxi to this apartment, make sure you specify San Juan de Santa Barbara and not only Santa Barbara as they are two different locations.

  • A very good place to spend a couple of nights when the airport is or was your destination. The street can be abbot noisy but the house has everything you might need and Karol is a terrific host. She awaited us on time on our arrival and departure and is just a very nice woman in general!

    Steven2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Karol is a willing host but the house lacks some basic amenities. The location is difficult to find unless you have WAZE (and are willing to pay data connection prices in Costa Rica on your cell phone). I am sure Karol will make improvements in the near future, as she is eager to continue service to her guests.

  • This is a great place. Karla and her sister were absolutely wonderful! They were accommodating, helpful and very friendly. We showed up a few hours late due to issues at the airport but nonetheless Karla was understanding and made sure we were okay. The house is quite close to the airport (15 minutes as advertised). It's a secure gated house. We were a group of 6 that were really comfortable during our stay. No issues. Definitely would stay here again if we come back to CR. Thank you Karla!

  • Staying at Laurel's is a great time. Close to the airport but also close to San Jose. I wish we could've stayed longer. Laurel is a great host, her place is great, and I would highly recommend to anybody looking for an affordable place to stay near the airport.

    Zachary2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel was a great host, very helpful tips on the roads, local restaurants, taxi, etc. This cute house was located in a beautiful garden overlooking the city, only 20 minutes away from San Jose airport, SJO. It was very clean and cozy. The kitchen has all the necessary items that you might need for cooking and dining. There were also great coffee, tea, honey, lemon, etc. which we enjoyed in our brief visit. We liked our short stay, and would definitely recommend it, and will consider returning if we are in the area again.

    Hassan2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel is fantastic host! She is friendly, helpful, social! Laurel met us personally for Check-in & check-out! The house is cozy, clean, good equipped ,located in the private garden! There are fresh towels, bed linens, comfortable bed and pillows! Wi-fi is fast. We spent beautiful time here! Dear, Laurel Thank you very much! We will happy to return in this house again! We are recommended this house!

    Tatiana2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel's home is clean, accommodating and has a scenic view looking over San Jose. It's close to the airport and we easily contacted an Uber to pick us up at this location before our flights. It was a little difficult to find and I recommend being able to contact Laurel over the phone to go over directions. Laurel was extremely helpful and even drove down to the town closest to her home to pick us up, which was incredibly generous! Her property is gorgeous and it's neat to take a look at her garden. Santa Barbara is a short walk (10 min or so) from the property and we were able to grab drinks and dinner. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest your head outside of San Jose but still close enough I would definitely recommend Laurel's place.

My place is close to mountain river. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the comfy bed, the Jacuzzi bath, balcony and the swimming pool. My place is good for couples and solo adventures.
  • First, the place: clean, simple, beautiful. The balcony is huge and for a guy like me which meditates each morning under the sun, it was perfect. It's right next to a flowing river which soothes the mind a lot. I swam in the inground pool and relaxed in the sauna daily. It's a gated property which is extremely safe. It's located near Heredia which is also very nice. Very uphill for people that love sport like me. Grocery store is 10minutes in car and 20minutes from downtown Heredia which is nice for food and bars. Air is fresh, animals & flora is omnipresent, the environment is just perfect. Second, the people. Bernal became a friend after staying there for more than a month. He has a lot under his hat and is very funny and wise. He helps you with everything you need, including lifts, recommendations and food (banana trees on the property). Also, David which stays on the appartment below is an amazing guy. Awesome experience, will defenitely return!

    Charles2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything: Bernal is a superb host and the lady downstairs is sweet and helpful. The unit was clean, well equipped, and the location is magnificent. The mountain surrounds you, the creeks rolls-by with a most beautiful sound, the butterflies are everywhere, the climate is soothing...Overall, we had a most pleasant time at Bernal's, and we highly appreciate the time we spent there. Please don't harm the fuzzy, black caterpillars, since they are Bernal's pets, that later on will be beautiful butterflies!

    Sandra2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place!! The property is beautiful & secluded with orange and mango trees all over the place. The apartment was the perfect size and had everything we needed, including a jacuzzi bathtub and a huge balcony! The river runs right by the bedroom area and makes for a tranquil nights sleep! Bernal is SO great and made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. Thanks Bernal!

    Emily2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Bernals Place is lovely! We stayed there for a week when we arrived in Costa Rica. He picked us up from the airport and brought us to his wonderful, quiet and private place so that we had no trouble at all. The apartment we had was clean, very big and you even have a huge balcony where you are able to cook outside! Very good pricing!

    Marvin2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gem of a place in smaller division of the city Heredia....Barrio Jesus, Sta. Barbara. The barrio is charming, friendly people, and offer just about anything you would need for a comfortable stay at Bernal's. The apartment is exactly as pictured and described, with a country setting, yet close to the nearest barrio. And Bernal is the absolute kindest man, always offering assistance and chatting about his newest projects. My week stay at his home was simply not long enough!

Beautiful wood house with two bedrooms, dining, fully equipped kitchen on an organic farm minutes from town. Incredible view, quiet, private, welcome to all fruit trees Great for kids.Fruit, bread, jam, butter provided, close to restaurants, food delivery available, 20 min to airport, 24 hour taxis. Washer, dryer, cool nights. Great family home, space for kids to play. Activities in the area, Poas Volcano, Bird Zoo, coffee tours,La Paz Waterfall, The Ark Herb Farm, PLEASE ASK FOR DIRECTIONS!
We are only 15 minutes to the airport up in the hills overlooking the San Jose valley. It is a $12 cab ride to the airport. Yet your morning cup of coffee on the porch overlooking the gardens of flowers is replete with birdsong. We also grow organic vegetables. There is a beautiful view of the valley and gives the feeling of quiet country living. However it is close to town and to several tour agencies for Costa Rica. The owner has an art studio next door and classes are available.
The best part of the farm is that once you are here it's quiet and restful. Costa Rica offers many tours, gardens, volcanoes, horse back riding, zip lines, white water rafting, the list goes on. We are 1.5 hours from the closest beach.
  • Laurel was waiting for us at the gate when we arrived and showed us through the house. She left us eggs and fruit for breakfast for the days we were there. Everything was better than expected, the house was clean and spacious and the landscape was beautiful. Fruit trees and flowers everywhere with a view of San Jose from the front porch. It was a wonderful place to start and end our stay in Costa Rica

    Pam2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to land after a long flight. Beautiful garden and a large wooden house with plenty of space. 30 minute drive to San José city center. General tip for most Costarican AirBnb's; buy a local simcard at the Kölbi booth at the bagage claim for €22 (for 2gb data) and install Waze app. Waze does a better job than (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or Apple maps.

  • We loved staying at Laurel's place! It is a beautiful property and the house has everything you could possibly need. Our only regret is that our travel plans wouldn't allow us to stay here more than one night. Can't recommend this home enough!

  • Absolutely charming and delightful! Perfect place to stay for hanging north of San Jose. Lovely!

    Deborah2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel was always friendly and she left us some fruit and other staples which really helped on the first morning since we arrived late the night before. We were travelling with young kids (2 and 3 years old) and the house was comfortable for us and the yard was good for letting the kids get fresh air. We liked the location that it was not far from the airport, near (but not too near) a small town and we were able to go on day trips with a car to sites within the central valley.

*There's a huge front and backyard full of Mango and Avocado trees perfect for Yoga. We love to eat organic and healthy food, that's why we grown our own food. We are pet friendly, we allow BBQ parties.
*It's a nice neighborhood, we live in a private street, so there's no noise or pollution. We also have a huge green field perfect for yoga or just chill under a mango tree.
  • We had a very nice stay, the house is nice and very neat. Gilberto's parents are the most awesome people. We had troubles getting our luggage from the airport and they really went out of their way to help us out. Also we arrived two days later then sheduled and they were very flexible about it. I would certainly recommand this place!

    Sanne2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Gilberto's parents house. The place is really close to the airport so perfect for a first or last night in CR. His parents are lovely and really helpful, and the home made breakfast is a delicious. I recommend it without a doubt!

    Benoît2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with the Gilberto family was truly a blessing and a safe haven. This being my first time to Costa Rica and not speaking the language they made me feel like a part of the family. They are located close to the airport and are very helpful with information about their community. I felt at home and loved my time with them. I look forward to staying with them again during my 3 months here. You couldn't ask for a more comfy bed, and warm shower! Namaste

    Angela2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • While I didn't get to stay at Gilberto's, this review is solely based on the photos and communication. Gilberto's place met my needs perfectly, my travel plans changed unexpectedly so I wasn't able to stay. But Gilberto was kind and considerate and responded quickly during my planning over a couple of months as well as up until that day. I hope to stay here when I return in a couple of months!

    Nikki2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for having me! Gilberto has absolutely amazing patents, who will make you feel so welcome! The house is so clean and close to the airport and the hosts are so lovely. I spent a great afternoon and night there before I departed from Costa Rica. It was great to chill out on the porch in the shade of their mango tree and read a book and relax. Breakfast was lovely too and they made such and effort to accommodate my very early departure time at 5am. Would recommend this b&b to anyone! It's about 5 dollars with an Uber to get to the airport.

    Gloria2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice experience at Gilberto's parents house. It is safe (even for the car!), clean and quiet. Gilberto's parents are very nice, and the breakfast is absolutely very good! Definetely a good adress to recommend!!

  • The place was very nice, and in a quiet location. We styed with Gilbertos parents who were very accommodating. The made us breakfast every morning and were very sweet. I would absolutely reccomend this place to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay right outside of Alajuela

Plantation style house situated on 2 1/2 acres of beauty. 20 minutes from the airport and only 1 1/2 hours from nearest beach. Yard is full of at least 10 different varieties of fruit trees. Enjoy the scenery from one of the 2 lovely porches.
The house is 2863 ft2 with 3 floors, which include 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and open kitchen living room floor plan. The style is a Louisiana French Acadian House. Three of the bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom/playroom has a foam mattress available to put on the floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed and master bath. There is custom wood cabinetry and beautiful wood detail throughout the whole house. The first floor has gorgeous wood flooring and the second and third have cozy carpet. We also have 2 large porches. The back porch is screened in and has a hammock and table/benches so you can eat or relax outside without being bothered by the insects. The front porch has 2 porch swings and a teak bench to enjoy the view of the yard. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove/oven and all you need to prepare your meals(not including food). We have towels and bed linens available for your use too, as well as a washer and dryer. Food and bathroom toiletries, are not included. Though we will try to keep cleaning supplies available for the house for short term stays. There are several nearby convenience stores within walking distance, as well as a restaurant, pharmacy, fruit stand, and hardware store, all about 500 meters away. We have a selection of English books for your reading pleasure available and toys for the kids. The house has Wi-Fi and cable TV. **There is also a swing set and playhouse/sandbox in the yard. The views from our house to the Central Valley and Barva Volcano are exquisite; and the yard has at least ten different types of fruit trees, including mango, banana, and guayaba, as well as other plants and trees that flower all year long. There is also a river at the bottom of the hill for you to explore. The yard is lined by a bamboo privacy fence. Our town, Birri, is located in the Central Valley of the Province of Heredia, about 1 1/2 hours from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Americas on the Pacific Coast. In fewer than 3 hours you can be on the Caribbean Coast or visit famous Arenal Volcano. Volcan Poas and several canopy tours are located about 45 minutes or less from our house. We actually live at the foot of Volcan Barva, which is an inactive volcano with a national park where you can hike and enjoy the cloud forest with all its strange and beautiful vegetation. Café Britt offers an amazing coffee plantation tour and is only 15 minutes away. This is coffee plantation country due to the fertile volcanic soil and temperate climate. The climate has spring-like temperatures all year long. You will only need a light sweater for some of the cool nights or after a nice rain; but shorts and tank tops are what you should pack. We have our resident pets who are there to keep you company as well. Lucy and Blossom are our 2 cats who live on the front porch. ***Finally, we are strict about the amount of people not only staying in our house, but coming to visit. So if you are interested in having a party, get together, reunion, wedding, anniversary, or event of any kind, please communicate that to me, because we have a different rate for any events/get together that involves more than 10 people in the house. Thank you so much for understanding. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to ask. ***Our property manager is my sister in law, Teresa Lobo. She is there to help you with anything you need. We are very excited about being able to offer our home to you and can’t wait to begin sharing our little bit of paradise with you this way, and hoping that you will be blessed!
Our neighborhood is very friendly and you can walk to the convenience store which is about 500 meters away. There is actually another smaller one even closer. There is a pharmacy nearby as well. And a fruit stand...all with in 500 meters of the house.
  • We have been extremely well guided and welcomed. We really appreciated our stay. The house is comfortable and situated so we are near from the real life and from commodities. We really appreciated the view and the porch. I would recommend to provide a better description of the way to get to the house when arriving in the village. Thanks for letting us live this great experience!

  • A beautiful home set on a huge piece of land on the hill side, greenery everywhere, fruit trees, flowers, awesome view. We felt right at home. The home is well furnished with all the kitchen equipment and utensils that we needed to prepare meals; shopped in the nearby market. Spacious bedrooms, plenty of closet space, large bathrooms, hot water, everything clean. Living room with comfortable sofas, TV with plenty of cable channels, wi-fi. Truly amazed with the design of the house and how every space is carefully utilized, lots of storage everywhere! Loved the collection of books; wish we had more time to read them! The home was more than comfortable for our group of 10 plus 2 toddlers. Teresa, the manager, was very attentive and prepared a nice welcome. She was available for all of our needs as was Sharon, or host via messaging. Definitely recommend and definitely would love to go back! (Waze App is the best App getting around in CR).

  • I stayed at Carolina house for one night. The surroundings are really nice with views to the mountains and the central valley. The place is in a big property in which the owner has her own house, too. So, she and her husband are available for everything one might need. This is a perfect place to relax yourself and enjoy nature, far from the noise of the city but at 10 min for Alajuela downtown. Therefore, the place is perfect for families or people that want to have a peaceful time.

Beautiful house in the province of Heredia, 15 min away(Uber) from SJO(main) airport in Costa Rica, keep it mind the country is very small therefore provinces are really close to each other, amenities : balcony with hammock, hot showers, gas stove, microwave, freezer etc, washer and dryer, maid service upon request, grocery store 4 houses north ( 30 feet), private security guards 24/7 in front of the house( standard in high end neighbors in USA, more commonly use in CR) just perfect ! Pura Vida.
The entire house it's at your disposal but keep in mind this place is more suited for couples with one kid or a party of 3 (4 max ) that need a place to relax after landing in CR, or about to leave the country and you don't want to risk loosing your flight, the fact that's only 10-15 min away from the airport makes it very convenient, also is appropriate for students that want to learn the language for there's many schools in Heredia, you'll get to experience the Tico life away from all the touristy areas, this will help you understand the culture better and learn Español.
It is close to the main Airport Juan Santa Maria , the province's down town( paseo de las flores mall ), and the colonial city of Barva, you can also go to barva's volcano, zip line and horse trail are among the activities, refer to a Costa Rican tourist guide for more info on what to do in the province of Heredia.
