  • Julio made me feel very welcome to Moca, PR at his space, where there is a living area and 2 bedrooms. The weather is gorgeous at this time of year and the location is accessible to many different beaches. On the property itself, it is what Puerto Rico offers, nature, beautiful plants that are flowering this time of year, trees, a patio, a hammock and a view to the lush greenery of PR. Julio is very attentive to my needs, giving me all the information of what there is to see and experience nearby. Sentia muy bienvenida, como familia visitandoles, y tenia acceso a todo.

    Jennifer2014-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Julio, was amazing. He was attentive, always willing to assist, and gave great directions. My group of 4 loved The drive to and from the house, the stars, and the astounding amount of nature right outside the door. Eight thumbs way up from us.

    trent2015-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Julio place was exactly as advertised. If you have a car I would definitely recommend this place. Julio gave us recommendation of where to go. We had a great time, I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in Puerto Rico!

    Kristina2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • First of all this was a great deal. The apartment was large and very well taken care of. Julio was attentive but gave us our space, and his suggestions for food and places to see were so money! The location is perfect for exploring the western part of Puerto Rico.

    Patrick2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Julio was very welcoming, and offered to help any time we were looking puzzled. He steered us to a small but very good "mediterranean" restaurant in Moca, which had very good pasta with homemade sauces. The bakery was great as well. The grounds are very nice, and there are no roosters crowing to wake you at the break of dawn. We sat out on the patio, even if it was rainy, because it is totally protected; the deck was also a nice spot, although closer to road noise. We stayed several days, and as one other reviewer noted, you cannot really cook, because there is only a microwave and fridge. But we did fine with the bakery, and usually were away for the day. There is air conditioning, only in the main bedroom, but we never used it, because the ceiling fans, the cross-ventilation, and the location on the lower level meant the apartment stayed very comfortable. The sheets are changed every other day (!), with fresh towels every day, and the garbage is also removed every day. Our only negative is that, as an older couple with grouchy backs, we found the bed pretty lumpy, and it took a few minutes in the morning to get going. This is a good spot in a nice area of P.R., away from the tourist areas and among the "locals."

    barbara2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing located in a a great area central to everything that the west coast of Puerto Rico has to offer. The apartment is huge it consisted of two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen, and dinning room. You will need to have a rental car in order to get here but they are so cheap to rent it makes since to get one anyways. Julio is an amazing host always ready to answer the phone with any questions. He also has some amazing suggestions of places to visit that not many people know about. The area is extremely peaceful and quiet, you feel like you have transported yourself into the past and you can relax for days. The coquis sing outside glorious melodies and the absolute best is the hammock outside from where you can receive the new day or say goodbye to the one just passed. Julio makes sures you have anything you may need from clean towls, to soap and coffee. I highly recommend anyone to stay in this amazing apartment you would not be dissapointed.

  • Really nice place and Yaiza and her husband are son kind! Thank you for a lovely weekend!

    Luis2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Yaiza and Edwin were wonderful hosts and ver communicativer before we arrived. As soon as we arrived they were waiting to greet us and available for anything. They are very knowledgeable on the area and shares their information on San Sebastian and the surrounding, beautiful region. San Sebastian is a very lovely, well-maintained historical town that my friends and I were very impressed with. Beautiful, restful experience. Thanks, Yaiza and Edwin!

    Leah2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Yaiza, her husband, and her daughter were the most welcoming hosts! They had everything prepared for us, and even made breakfast! Check in was prompt, friendly, and informative. The location is more than perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

    Robert Turner2017-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly welcomed by Yaiza and Edwin. The fact that Yaiza is an historical architect and willing to take time from her job and family to show us the museums and tell us about the rich history of San Sebatian was a huge plus for us. Breakfast was great and she even invited us to dinner at the last minute. Our room was nice.

    Linda2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • One of my best experiences in Puerto Rico was meeting Yaiza and staying at their place. I can describe the San Sebastian B&B with one word...Intentional. Before you even walk into the lobby area/first floor (which is also where Yaiza and her family live). The outside is welcoming, with chairs and a table to sit and enjoy the tranquil nights in San Sebastian. Sitting outside you see the stars and listening to Merigue and salsa from the bar around the corner. The place is in walking distance of the city square and some of the best Pizza and calzones I've ever had in my life at Goivanni's. The interior design is classy, inviting and warm and reflects the character of the host Yaiza, who is beautiful, intelligent and full of great stories. Her husband Edwin is a jack of all trades, will make sure you have everything you need and make you a great breakfast. Great location, the best hospitality, I highly recommend San Sebastian B&B. You feel invited into a family here more than just staying in a room for a night. Definitely one of my favorite places to be when visiting PR.

    Travis2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Yaiza was more than generous with our cancellation. My boyfriend and I canceled our trip here because we did not like the location. However, Yaiza mentioned to me that she made all the arrangements we asked for including making sure we had the right size bed and upgrading the internet after our inquiry about their internet speeds. I am appreciative of her generosity and consideration.

    Kat2016-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great B & B. Everybody was super friendly.

  • We stayed one night at this place and everything was as shown in the pictures.

    Jose2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Regino was very welcoming and nice, we check in late and he made sure we arrived well. The place was clean and cozy, close to the Gozalandia falls (must visit) and restaurants. In the future we would love to come back. Thank you Regino!

    Tayrona2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very great people. I enjoy my stay at Regino's place, beautiful view and quiet neighborhood tucked away on the side of the mountain. Unfortunately, there was no internet service and the phone signal was almost non-existent (all due to hurricane Maria). Other than having these luxuries (which I needed for work) the place was great. Ideal for a nice space to get away to if you are vacationing in San Sebastian. Highly recommend.

    Travis2017-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful little place in beautiful surroundings! You are in the jungle and very close (10 min drive) to San Sebastián waterfalls. Regino and his wife are very welcoming and kind.

Welcome home! Here in the heart of Puerto Rico's rainforest awaits your Private Caribbean Island Retreat. Bathe in the waterfalls and sacred springs of the indigenous Taíno ancient organic food forest.  Come enjoy this transformational experience!
Let the local coquí frogs serenade you to sleep with their romantic song that fills the cool mountain breeze of the night. The roar of waterfalls near and far will captivate your attention for beauty, while sipping on your favorite beverage by the fireside. Enjoy a candlelit dining experience like never before, on your own private island in the middle of pristine waters, gushing from springs deep in this sacred Taíno valley. Surrounded by thousands of acres of uninhabited rainforest, you will experience intimacy "en la naturaleza". I will be waiting for you and your family, by the horses grazing at the top of the mountain, and escort you to your private Caribbean Island retreat, either on foot or in our 4×4 Off-Road Jeep. The choice is yours. You also have a myriad of hammocks and tents to choose from based on your individual preferences. You are free to bathe in the hundreds of private natural pools and waterfalls. I look forward to accomodating your desires for a transformational experience in the rainforest!
The neighbors are mostly just tropical birds, owls, coquí frogs, crawfish and lightning bugs. Before arriving at the entrance of the farm, you will pass several quaint homes at the top of the mountain. They are all part of the same family, Durán, who has lived in these mountains for generations.  If you are outgoing and want to make friends with the locals, the family is always playing dominoes at the corner store where La Finca Cucubana connects with the main road.  Although they are competitive and full of energy, this is there way of having fun in the evenings. They bring each other homemade fruit wines and rums to share, or you can by ice cold beer from the sweet lady that owns the store.  You can also find canned foods, and other miscellaneous items you may need during your stay.
  • Brett & Scott (and Lita & Radar) truly care about providing each guest with their ultimate rainforest adventure! When I was all beached-out, this mountain getaway was the perfect antidote. They communicated every step of the way. From calling to confirm that I knew what I was getting in to (this is true camping, y'all), to letting me know when there was a check-in delay, to including me in some amazing hikes, I was taken care of from start to finish. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and secure. The tent was clean and in good shape, and there were hammocks to hang out in over the river as well. I highly recommend booking with these guys and blissing out- they also lead eco-excursions, so check with them about booking two experiences at once!

My place is close to great views, 30 minutes from the beach, family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining.. You’ll love my place because of its location in a tropical flower plantation in the mountains, clean stream with fishing and swimming holes, bird watching, hiking, peaceful and private location.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
This is a charming wooden house in a 5 acre tropical flower farm in the mountains of Puerto Rico. This private farm is located in a lush river valley surrounded by mountains and brimming with natural life. The Casey river is a short walk away and it is ideal for a refreshing dip in its swimming holes, fishing for dajao, and shrimping at night. This is an area full of life: lizards, insects, coquís, crickets, birds, and other local fauna. The house and its surroundings are kept free of pests, though the occasional gecko (harmless) might find its way inside. The house is fully screened and can be left open to enjoy the night sounds or closed and air conditioned.
This is a quiet neighborhood with a church, a bar, and a "lechonera" (place where they make roast pork in the weekends). The lechonera has a bar, sells Puerto Rican fried foods, and "cuajito" (stewed tripe), and roast pernil. About 5 minutes away, in the Rt 352 intersection, there is a bakery, hardware store, tire store, bar, and pharmacy. Both the bakery and the pharmacy are also convenience stores which sell basic groceries, desserts, etc. To get to supermarkets, restaurants, and other amenities you need to drive to Mayagüez, San Sebastián, or Las Marías all about 20-30 minutes away. This farm is near the following tourist attractions in nearby small towns: Maricao: Hacienda Juanita, Torre de Piedra, Monte del Estado, Salto Curet, Fish hatchery. Las Marías: Festival de la China (March). Lares: Hacienda Lealtad, Heladería El Grito. San Sebastian: Farmer's Market (Fridays), Gozalandia (waterfall). Moca: Castillo Labadie. Rincón: Lighthouse, whale watching (February & March), surfing (January - April), many restaurants, bars, live music, farmer's market in the town square (Sundays), beaches, etc. Aguadilla: Crash Boat beach, restaurants, ice skating rink, etc. Mayagüez: restaurants, town square, Tropical Agricultural Research Station (botanical garden), El Litoral (seaside walk), University of PR: Mayagüez, Museo de Hostos, Museo Pilar Defilló, and more. Hormigueros: Iglesia la Monserrate. Cabo Rojo: Playuela, Lighthouse, Boquerón village, Joyuda (seafood restaurants), etc.
  • From the moment we got to Puerto Rico, Nelsie was just simply a pleasure! She assisted us from the beginning and helped us navigate our way to her house. She was so accommodating to our every need and was just the sweetest person. My family and I loved her and definitely felt welcome and as if she were a family member of ours. The house was just so cute, natural and comfortable and we loved staying there. All the nature surrounding the house was simply beautiful and magical. It was awesome to experience the forest come to life once the the sun set. Advice, make sure you arrive by daylight because at night it is extremely dark and super easy to get lost. Also pay attention to the Kilometer markers (14.4 is the entrance!!!!!) , as we did not, and we were completely lost in the beginning and found our selves deep in the mountains but Nelsie came to the rescue despite of the time it was. We are so grateful for the experience and for Nelsie taking us in to her home. We are especially grateful for all the conversations and the words of wisdom she shared with us!! We will be back for sure!

  • Casa Abuelita was perfect! We (2 adults and 2 kids age 11 & 12) stayed for nearly a month and loved it. Very comfortable and the perfect setting for exploring the stunning coastline and beautiful interior. Nelsie is the most warm and generous host: she even taught us and fed us delicious Puerto Rican food. I just didn't ever want to leave this little slice of paradise!

    Sara2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fell in love with sweet Nelsie and her beautiful place. It was a slice of paradise. Secluded in the mountainous rain forest we hiked and relaxed in its peacefulness.

  • Nelsie was more than an amazing host. She helped us figure out where to go, what to eat, what to do... everything! Her home cooked meal was the best we had on our stay in Puerto Rico. The house was clean, quiet, relaxing, and beautiful! It is a short drive to many beaches and towns, so you never feel like you are missing anything. We came to Puerto Rico on a whim and now we can't wait to come back. Not sure if we could say the same if it weren't for Nelsie and her amazing hospitality.

    Gracie2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here. We wanted to be in a quiet secluded area but at the same time close to everything. The house has everything you need, super clean, and Nelsie is absolutely wonderful. She gave us so much info about the area and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The river flows right below the house so it's very tranquil. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone!

  • Elsie was an amazing host. She accommodated my family with last minutes requests, and even let us check in and out passed the time/dates requested. Her responses to my messages were prompt and she was very informative about the area. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and felt extremely homey. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook and feel at home. The house fit 6 comfortably and Elsie was kind enough to provide us with a 7 inflatable bed to use. The day before we left, Elsie gave my family and i plant clippings from her farm to bring back to NY and plant. Very down to earth and easy to speak with. Spoke both spanish and english. I would recommend this BNB to anyone and everyone especially families! I will be visiting again for sure!

  • This is an awesome house. It's off the main roads so look forward to a nice and quiet place. We loved hanging out on the patio at night, listening to the jungle come to life. Ms. Nelsie is really nice. She will make you feel like family. We are looking forward to staying with her again. Muchas gracias Nelsie!!!

It's a large apartment with all new appliance. You'll feel like home.
We are Surrounded by our family. It's very nice and safe neighborhood.
  • All the comforts of home! So beautifully decorated and fully stocked. I was able to cook, relax and enjoy the convenience of the tienda next door for supplies and yummy Puerto Rican specialties. The area is so calm, I especially loved being able to walk around after a nice rain. Easy to get to, gated parking and wonderful hospitality from the whole family!

  • Jiny was very communicative since it wasn't her on site. We met her sister and her parents, all of whom were very warm. The studio is perfect for a couple on vacation. It's tucked away in a more remote part of the island, which is lovely. Felt very safe and comfortable (the AC unit is strong!) and had everything we needed, especially with the store/bakery/deli next door. My only complaint is that both mornings we were there Jiny's dad was working right outside our door (power tools, hammering) as early as 8:30am. The second time it happened we popped our head out and asked if he could stop, which he did with no problem at all. They had all told us to bring up any complaints, which we did, and they handled it very graciously. A lovely stay!

    Paul2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great 1st experience thanks to Jiny and fam's great service and attention

    Antonel2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is great!!! Quiet neighborhood, next to a bakery where you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner :) friendly host and very easy check in and check out. The place was very clean, it loooks exactly as it is on the pics. The only thing that I would suggest to Jiny is to improve the wifi. The signal was very poor in the studio which made a bit difficult my work.

    Gamaliel2016-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Jiny's place was way better than expected. Let me start off by saying that she was incredibly accommodating when I had to move my trip one day earlier. Once I got there her parents were unbelievably welcoming. I honestly felt like I was at home with family and friends. The studio was the most comfortable stay I had in Puerto Rico. The AC worked great, the studio was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Having access to the driveway was also a big plus! The bakery next door was convenient and they made great food and coffee. My absolute favorite part of my stay here were the regulars who would come into the bakery and play pool most nights. The studio is a little bit off the main road but wasn't much of a hassle.

    Brian2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jiny and his wife were absolutely wonderful hosts. They were always available when we needed them and provided excellent service. Definitley reccommended. The panaderia next door is perfect for local breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, the frappe truck across the street is awesome! Great location. Amazing hosts. And a clean, tranquil home.

    Neidaly2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great studio will all the amenities and a shop nearby to get all the necessary things. The only issue is the phone and internet signal here. Everything else is great. Great host and a beautiful studio.

    Tushar2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jiny, the host, could not make it to receive us because she had to travel for her job. But her parents received us and they were super nice and were always making sure we had everything we needed. Jiny would write tu us to make sure out stay was good. The apartment was perfect and clean, you could actually smell it. I definitely recommend it for a getaway where you want to be without cel phones and just relaxing.

  • René's place is absolutely breathtaking. Our only mistake was booking it for only one night! The area is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the whole night and cooked, the house was fully equipped with dish ware. We stated up all night on the porch, the sky will hypnotize anybody. The house is very cool, the breeze you get when the windows are open is perfect, there is no need for a fan. In the morning we took a hike on the mountains, the pictures don't show half of how beautiful it is. All in all, this place was perfect, we'll definitely be back.

    Joseph2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rene's house was magical. It is on acres of land with cows roaming the hills. We had a great time driving through the dense forest to get there and were so pleased to find a spacious, well-equipped and beautiful home upon our arrival. We felt like we were in a different world. We could see the Milky Way from the back porch where the hammock hangs and plenty of seating is available. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

    Hannah2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a deal. It is quite spacious and very clean. Do yourself a favor and sit in the hammock and enjoy the fabulous stars and tranquility! Rene is a super host. He could not have been more helpful with telling about the area and helping us plan our activities.

    Chris2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rene provided us with a wonderful experience during our first trip to Puerto Rico. Rene is extremely thoughtful and has taken great care in making us feel comfortable and welcomed. Upon greeting us, he presented us with lovely flowers grown on the property. Rene even supplied farm fresh eggs from the farm (which were excellent), and had a well stocked, well organized kitchen. The house itself is spacious and very comfortable. He gave us a thorough tour, and provided wonderful information about the surrounding area. The grounds are absolutely lovely! The vistas are picturesque, and the sights and sounds of nature were such a wonderful change from the busy, crowded cities. Although Rene's accommodations are situated in the country, it is such a short drive to get to many places of interest such as restaurants, stores, tourist destinations and the town of Arecibo. Rene knows the island very well, and we even made a few changes to our original itinerary based on his solid recommendations. Needless to say, his guidance of areas in other parts of Puerto Rico provided us with a much greater overall experience. We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Rene and his Airbnb. If we ever visit Puerto Rico in the future, we will definitely be booking a longer stay at his guest home. It was a truly unique and wonderful experience!

    Renee2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The views of this guest house are unreal. Theres a window in the bedroom that when opened looks like something out of a disney movie. However it is important to note that this location is very secluded. It is about 15 mins from the nearest large highway and the camuy caves and the final 5 mins of the drive are on a secluded side road so be ready for a secluded serene getaway in the middle of nowhere. However thats also the charm of this place. Initially the wife and I were a little apprehensive, however the views of the mountain and the farm were breathtaking. Its a 2 bedroom, furnished guesthouse. Very clean with running warm water and full kitchen. Rene was an absolutely awesome host. He gave us our privacy while being instantly available when we needed him. The fridge was stocked and he provided us with bread and farm fresh eggs as well that was a bonus. Would recommend this place to anyone (more people the better) wanting to getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life!

    Akbar2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Puerto Rico is a small island with a whole lot of people. Rene's getaway in the mountains of Camuy is the perfect place to get away from it all in a breathtaking mountainous setting only an hour and a half away from San Juan. The guest house is spacious and well stocked. It's perfect for couples looking to have a place to themselves away from it all. But it's a full guest house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of living and dining space so it'll work for the whole family or even a small family reunion. If you're willing to put people on couches, sleeping bags and hammocks you can fit quite a few people here. You'll be only ten minutes away from the nearest town/grocery store. There is also lots of things to see in the area: the Camuy caverns are maybe 15 minutes away, there is swimming and boating at Lake Guajataka, the Arecibo Observatory is a short drive through the scenic mountains and there is plenty of hiking trails in the Guajataka rainforest. Rene is an accommodating and friendly host and has clearly put a lot of effort into making a great Airbnb listing.

    David2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was the most breathtaking experience where you can get away and forget about everything that stress you out. The host is super sincere and respectful. Everything was comfortable and the privacy I was looking for I found it away from people and noises. I'll love to suggest more darker curtains bc is really difficult to sleep after the sun rises and it's kinda like at 5am or so since we are so high up in the mountain. Also come with everything you need bc everything is at least 15 - 20 min away. I love the security it has and the view is amazing I'll definitely come around sometime and for the entire house by itself is super cheap.

    Ámbar2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rene was very welcoming and helpful, giving us recommendations for things to do and places to go in the area. He even provided us with fresh eggs and papaya from his farm. The house was roomy and beautiful, a great porch and incredible views. A little difficult to find as it was out in the country, and we lacked Spanish skills (that's on us), but he was very communicative and helpful and we would recommend anyone to stay here for a positive experience!

At the moment we have water on the property and regular light. Excellent house for personnel who come to the western area to rebuild or help in the recovery of PR. Vacation house for families in Isabela. No exit road, including two garages, peaceful environment only 4 minutes away from "Jobos" beach. NO Hurricane damages
We are located in an urbanization that has no exit, so it is safer because the traffic is only local people who live in the area.
  • The house was nice, clean, and organized. However, it was very frustrating to stay in a remote location with little cell phone coverage and the wifi was very spotty or not working at all. The TV was not working and when asked, the host stated that Direct TV must have not made it out to the house yet. The microwave did not work as well. During the middle of the night we lost power and the Air Conditioner did not work, which is difficult when it is a warm place. The shower curtain rod in the master bedroom kept falling and fell on my 75 year old mom twice. The hosts did communicate with me. Luckily we were just in this house for 2 nights. Overall, the most frustrating issues were that the advertisement did not match truly what we experienced.

  • Good host and communication. Home was clean with plenty of space. Location is a little further from the beach than advertised and a bit secluded so if you are not familiar with the area it may be a bit of a challenge to find. Bad phone reception in the area and the wi-fi and cable were not working throughout our stay. Being able to reserve the space without waiting for the host was a plus for us; would rent from this host again.

    Deborah2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This home is so great!! Pictures don't do it justice at all. It's so spacious and nice inside. Everything was so clean. The home had 3 bedrooms but only 2 had A/C, 1 with a queen sized bed and one with 2 twin sized bunk beds. The room without A/C has a queen sized bed as well. The bunk bed mattresses were pretty hard but I sleep anywhere so it's not a big deal. My parents took the room with the queen bed and A/C and my brother and I slept on the bottom bunks. There were no sheets on the bunk beds (it did have fitted sheets and a thin comforter which didn't smell like it had been washed recently but I'm not a big germophobe and hotels do this all the time so not a big deal for me.) House was less than 10 minutes to the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets. As mentioned in the post, coverage is a bit spotty and the Wi-Fi really isn't that good so don't depend on it. I highly recommend this home and can assure you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!!!

Looking for a peaceful Caribbean getaway? We have just the place for you. Come enjoy a hammock by the river and waterfalls in the mountains of Puerto Rico. Enjoy the privacy of a 9-acre farm surrounded by a serene Caribbean rainforest. Bienvenidos
This hammock retreat has been set alongside waterfalls, located on an ancient Indigenous Taino farm, in the mountains of present day Buena Vista de Las Marias.  The land is covered in a shady canopy of bamboo and fruit trees among the jungle.  The air is fresh for adventure to explore the many trails throughout the farm.  There are two valleys, each lined with natural springs to enjoy a revitalizing bath anytime of day.  There are dozens of varieties of tropical fruits and organic vegetables to enjoy raw or cooked over a fireplace.  Each of the hammocks has a mosquito net, fresh cotton sheets, and a rain fly to stay dry.  There are four hammocks available anytime of day or night.  One of the benefits to being at an elevation above the clouds, is there is a natural air-conditioning system running 24/7 for an irresistible climate.  You will understand why we keep extra sheets in the hammocks.  The coqui frogs will sing you their notoriously hypnotizing lullaby, leaving you with one of the most unforgettable nights rest.
Before arriving at the entrance of the farm, you will pass several quaint homes at the top of the mountain. They are all part of the same family who has lived in these mountains for generations.  If you are outgoing and want to make friends with the locals, the neighbors are always playing dominoes at the corner where the farm connects with the main road.  Although they are competitive and outspoken, this is there way of having fun as they enjoy each others homemade fruit wines and rums, or an ice cold beer from the sweet lady that owns the store.  You can also find canned foods, tylenol, and other miscellaneous products you may need during your stay.
  • Everyone should at least try this once. You can't imagine what it will or would be like until you just try it. It was the best experience of my whole 2 weeks in Puerto Rico. Brett knows so many great places that are far better than the brochures. He made me feel right at home. Can't wait to go back!!!

  • Had a fantastic adventure, the natural beauty of the land was breathtaking! Even better were the hosts, Brett and Janira were able to provide more then just a place to sleep, their knowledge and passion for the island made for an unforgettable experience.

  • Our stay with Brett and Scott happened by chance as we traveled across the mountains to Rincon. We can not say enough great things about both the hospitality and the location of Brett's farm. They showed us into town the night we arrived and shared awesome info on the area while we got to know each other. In the morning we were able to wash up in the amazing waters flowing through the farm before we had the phenomenal opportunity to explore a local waterfall with Brett and Scott. If you are looking for a luxury experience, stay clear. If you are looking to truly experience what Puerto Rico has to offer and clear your mind and regenerate your spirit, seek out this place! We can not wait to come back and book a full tour with our new friends.

Located in Puerto Rico's rainforest, this Caribbean retreat is ideal for exploration, yoga, and privacy. Bathe in the springs, take a hammock by the waterfalls, enjoy organic fruits, and gather fresh veggies for dinner on an open fire. Welcome home!
This retreat has been set in a century old cabin, located on an ancient Indigenous Taino farm, in the mountains of present day Buena Vista de Las Marias. The land is covered in a shady canopy of bamboo and fruit trees among the jungle. The air is fresh for adventure to explore the many trails throughout the farm. There are two valleys, each lined with natural springs to enjoy a revitalizing bath anytime of day. There are dozens of varieties of tropical fruits and organic vegetables to enjoy raw or cooked over an indoor fireplace. The private room has a queen size comfortable mattress, with organic Egyptian cotton sheets. There are also several hammocks available to take a siesta, anytime of day or night. One of the benefits to being at an elevation above the clouds, is there is a natural air-conditioning system running 24/7 for an irresistible climate. You will understand why we keep extra sheets in the room.
Bring groceries for dinner, as the nearest restaurant is an hour by car.

My friend and I really enjoyed it!! Also, Brett and Scott were very nice hosts. They showed us around and provided lots of guidance to really enjoy the place!

  • Jose was an amazing host he was kind, friendly and attentive. The room was as described and as pictured. There was 5 of us so we had the shared room with 5 beds. Rooms and shared areas were very clean. We had coffee and breakfast in the morning made for us, sat and chatted with Jose a while and we all really enjoyed it! Will definitely stay here again!
