1895 Victorian flat w/ 12 ft ceilings. (No Long Term Rentals or couples) Close to Mission, & 2.5 blocks from Castro theater. MUNI is 3 blocks away. Room is small and cosy, and great value for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US!
We live in an 1895 Victorian top flat with 12 foot ceilings on the best block in San Francisco. Our calendar is always up to date. Location Location Location~ Our home is close to the Mission, Lower Haight, and 2.5 blocks from the Castro theater. The underground is 3 blocks away, with a street car even closer. The room is small and cosy, but a great price for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US! Please fill out your profile if you are interested~and make sure to arrange a time to meet prior to your arrival, I lead a busy lifestyle, work full time, and wouldn't want to miss anyone! Check in is at 5 and we are 37 steps up from street level. Restaurants are plentiful and beautiful Dolores Park is quite close. Your room has a twin day bed 75 inches long with a desk and a solid door. The room is 9.25 feet by 8 feet. Amenities include wireless and a gorgeous full kitchen. We have one cat that enjoys company almost as much as we do and a sweet rescue pooch. Our flat gets more light than any other home I've been to in my 13 years of living in this great town. For all you foodies out there BiRite Creamery, Tartine, Delfina's Pizza and Proper are within 4.5 blocks of our front door. Michelin rated Range is just a few farther. As much as we love bikes, and we do, we don't have space for storage. If you rent one please return it at the end of the day or lock up on the street at your own risk. Please ask if you would like to have a friend for a short visit.
  • Staying with Brenda was an amazing experience. Her place is immaculately designed, with a very worldly feel to it. The house is situated in the heart of the Castro district, and is surrounded by excellent restaurants offering various cuisines from around the world. Brenda is a lifelong world traveler that is very open-minded, and interested in meeting new people. As a design enthusiast, her apartment is furnished with beautiful details. The bedroom is excellent for 1 person, though I don't think it would be comfortable for a couple. Also, if you are very tall (6'4"+), you will likely me too tall for the bed. Other than that, the place is fantastic. Would stay there again.

  • Brenda was a wonderful host, very generous and accommodating! I would love to visit again!

  • Brenda is lovely and a thoughtful host. Her dog Boo and cat Moo Moo are very sweet and well behaved. The room was perfect for a solo traveller exploring San Francisco.

    Belinda2011-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay with Brenda, surrounded by Boo and Miss Mumu, having coffee early morning and looking at life going by below - yes, the room has a lovely big window with lots of fresh air and natural sunligth coming into your room Brenda is a lovely lady, really great when it comes to advice, tips and general San Francisco 'what to do' and 'where to go'. Even with hectic schedule, Brenda always made sure that I was okay, and even checked in with me when my seminar ran late, to be sure that I was okay. I would definitely recommend Brenda's lovely Flat in Castro. The area is easy to navigate, friendly, and very safe. I really felt at home

  • Brenda was a kind and generous host. The apartment was lovely and so was the neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for more!

    Ben2012-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda is a most gracious hostess. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable both in her home, which is lovely, and in her city, which as we all know is sublime. Many thanks, Brenda. I much look forward to staying with you again. Elizabeth H. from Miami

    Elizabeth2012-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Brenda's was a great pleasure! The apartment is situated in a popular neighborhood with nice restaurant, cafes and bars in walking distance. Berenda's apartment is carefully decorated and the bedroom she rents out is small but charming. All is kept cleen. Brenda gives you a warm welcome, has good tips, what sightseeing activities you can do and where to eat. You share the bathroom with the host and another flat mate. I enjoyed my stay and hope to come again.

Transportation to Downtown (about 3.5 miles to Civic Center) or any of the San Francisco attractions is easy with frequent buses. Two minutes from the front door you can catch a MUNI bus to the nearby BART (underground) station. Or take a walk over Bernal Hill to BART and the Mission District and see some amazing views of the city and the Bay. Freeway access is nearby and easy.
Bernal Heights is a very popular neighborhood. It's interesting, safe, convenient, beautiful, quiet. The best place to live in SF!
  • It was my first Airbnb experience to stay at Mike and Nics Place and I couldn't ask for a better Start. Mike and Nic are very nice and easy to talk to and give you a helping hand if needed. The Studio is really very cozy and personal. Bernal Heights is good area to start discover San Francisco. The Bus is just around the corner and her is my tip for easily move thru the city: Go and take the SF Visitors pass from the SFMTA. They charge you just 23 $ for a 3 day service to use all public Muni Transportation's like Bus, Trolley and Cable Cars. Have fun!

    Michael2014-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancee and I loved our stay at Mike and Nic's! It was a bit of a last minute reservation for us, but they responded to us quickly and answered all of our questions despite being away on vacation. The place was different than other places we've stayed - this place had a ton of character, with a cozy fireplace and beautiful decor that made us feel right at home. There is a good view of the city from right outside the front door, with plenty of street parking nearby. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay while exploring SF.

    Mark2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I have nothing but great things to say about Mike, Nic and their place! I stayed for over a week and really felt at home. Mike does a great job of communicating any details one may need before arriving and makes himself readily available in case any issues do arise (although there were none during my stay). The place looked exactly like the pictures and was true to its name (it is very cozy!). They even make an effort to make sure the cupboards and fridge are stocked with a few things for your stay (in addition to the usual staples you would need for cooking and coffee). Not expected at all but really appreciated during mornings/late nights where you could use a refreshment or something to nibble on. I was able to meet Nic towards the end of my stay and she was a delight to talk to, Very warm and engaging, you could tell she really does love the neighborhood and city. There are a few bus lines that stop within walking distance of their place (on is right on the corner) so getting into the city and back was never an issue. The neighborhood itself felt really safe and I was able to enjoy some of the restaurants and shops on Courtland Street (just a block south). Would recommend without hesitation to any Airbnb user, thanks!

    Giovanni2013-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We felt home from the moment we checked in this lovely place. We met Nic and Mike just for briefly chats: they are both very sympathetic and helpful. We would love to go back one day. Bernal Heights is a pleasent neighbourhood with a beautiful view and a lot of things to visit in walking distance.

    Daniel 2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Good location with street parking nearby. Mike and Nic understand their position when their property is in use. Privacy was appreciatiated. Very spacious. Great flat screen TV in HD. Very clean and tidy and I was able to use their kitchen utensils which were adequate. After 10 days of use, there were no issues.

    Ernest2012-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mike & Nic have a lovely studio and the location is perfect for experiencing a less touristy neighbourhood of San Francisco. It is minutes away from a street full of amazing restaurants and cafés. The kitchen facilities are a bit limited for cooking more than a basic meal but were enough for what we needed and, like I said, amazing restaurants are just around the corner.

    Alexandra2012-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nic was very friendly and accomodating, and the studio was clean and quiet in a very lovely neighborhood. Great location and very comfortable, definitely recommended for a stay in SF.

    Katherine2013-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Very comfortable and tucked away in a very quiet street. Short walk to some nice vistas. Stores, restaurants and bars just a few blocks away. Highly recommend it.

One bedroom sanctuary with a beautiful garden view and cozy fireplace. Comes with it's own entrance just steps from bus lines, train and all that Haight Street has to offer. Complete privacy with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast bar.
If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.
You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.
  • Just perfect. GREAT location, very accessible to everything and could catch an Uber/Lyft within 2 minutes anytime. The way the apartment is situated makes it quiet and peaceful. The furnishings and description is entirely accurate. A wonderful local grocery nearby lets you buy necessities (food, wine), but Sara keeps the basics well stocked (TP, towels). Very comfortable, great atmosphere and highly recommend.

    robert2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Sara's place. It is very conveniently located at a great location (walking distance to many coffee shops and restaurants and golden gate park). The apartment is very cute and has access to a fantastic little garden. The public transportation works perfect to reach to all other SF districts. Sara is an excellent host. She was very very friendly and communicative during my stay and answered my questions promptly. I highly recommend.

    Meliha2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • I think Sara was not at home when we got there. Left Keys and instructions where we could find them. So far so good. Due to her guest it was pretty noisy in the evenings. (Friday & Saturday). The rest was good, she left brochures and good tips in a folder.

    Rebecca2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was a great host! She was very responsive and we enjoyed trying out recommendations from the binder she left us. The apartment was bright and clean and even better than the pictures! Location was in walking distance to many parts of the city. It was the perfect place for us to stay!

    Alan2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was awesome and the location and place were wonderful. Great location and very comfortable, relazing place. Her dog Boo is very sweet and will often come by to say hi, but then is on his way. Highly recommend it!

  • I had a wonderful stay at Sara's garden retreat - it was a very comfortable and cozy home base for my recent visit to San Francisco! Sara was easy to communicate with, very responsive and very friendly too. And of course I enjoyed the homemade snacks she provided me very much :) I hope that I have the opportunity to stay with Sara again in the very near future!

  • The room was wonderful - clean, stylish, relaxing - and the location was absolutely spectacular. Even on our short trip, we were able to run to the marina and browse some of the great eateries nearby. Jeff was a gracious host, and we will absolutely stay here again the next time we're in San Francisco.

    Caitlin2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, really nicely remodeled room with very hotel quality finishes. Friendly hosts. On a busier street so caution to lite sleepers. Plus side is that you're close to all things pac heights!

  • A truly great experience! One of the very best AirBnb's out there! Jeff and Mike were exceptional hosts! They were lightning fast to respond to any questions or requests, and were super accommodating and informative. Jeff was there to greet me upon arrival and was very fun to chat with. The location was great, in a nice clean and quiet area of SF. The room was very clean and the artwork was a very touch. The bathroom was also very clean. The room was very private and felt more like a standalone one bedroom apartment. Really no complaints whatsoever except for me the bed was a tad on the soft side (albeit I tend to like super firm mattresses). I would definitely recommend Jeff & Mike's place to anyone looking to stay in SF!

    Justin2016-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Jeffery and Mike's place for two days, and we loved it! Jeffrey and Mike were very helpful and responsive, they patiently answered our questions in detail prior to our arrival. After check in Jeffrey gave us a detailed overlook of the neighborhood and offered some great recommendations to local restaurant and attractions. The apartment is very clean and comfy, made us feel right at home. The location is perfect, parking and grocery next door and with tons of food options. We would definitely love to stay there again next time we visit SF.

  • I can only think of one word to describe this listing...'beautiful'. Great location, spacious, strong wifi. Blair is an Awesome host. Flawless communication and easy check in/out process. I've stayed in many listings all over the world and this spot in Pac Heights stands out as the most memorable. Thanks for a great stay in a super listing!

  • Blair's home was absolutely stunning and met our expectations if not exceeded them. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. Everything was clean and neat. The neighborhood was great. We felt very safe and at home. There were a lot of good restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance from the house. Blair is a great host and very accommodating. A 10 out of 10 experience! Thank you Blair.

    Mary2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay! Nearly perfectly equipped with everything you need, quality interior and furniture and with a lot of love in all the little things. It was worth the price and in the end very hard for us to leave. Is there's a 6 star rating? 5 is not enough ... Thank you Blair!

    Michael2015-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Blair was an excellent host! Check-in and check-out were a breeze, not to mention that Blair was very accommodating with our request for a later check-out time. This was our first experience with Airbnb but the description and the pictures were true to the space, even exceeding our expectations. The apartment is truly lovely. It is well-decorated and cared for, clean and cozy. We felt instantly at home, so much so that we are already talking about our next stay at Blair's.

    Danny2015-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect, close to Union street where there are good restaurants and shopping. A quick walk to the Hyde street trolley line. The house was beautiful, very clean and felt like home. We felt at home when we were there, better than a hotel. The patio is fantastic for a nice meal or a glass of wine while you wind down from the day. We definitely will stay here again when we are back in the city, it was a beautiful home!

    Naomi2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Blair's place in Pacific Heights. The neighborhood is beautiful and the apartment is impeccably and beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location was fantastic - just a few (very steep) blocks to Union Street famous for it's boutiques and restaurants, or you can go up the street and walk down (the much less steep) Fillmore that is also filled with lovely boutiques and restaurants. I was so so happy to be back in the City and always love to rent an apartment when I go so I can feel like I live there again, even for just a few days, and Blair's apartment was perfect. She was a very responsive, easy-going and helpful host. Would definitely stay there again.

    Shastyn2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's place is a perfect European-style pied-a-terre, the architecture and interior styling blew us away. The neighborhood is so charming, and walking distance from a lively shopping area with cute restaurants (you don't even have to scale any hills!). Perfect for an intimate couple or solo traveler. We'll most certainly be back. Thank you, Blair, it was an ideal AirBnb experience. Highly highly recommended.

    Niki2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Blair's listing. It is located on a nice quiet street which we appreciated because it was a nice place to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing in the city. The apartment itself was beautiful and we loved all the windows. One of the reasons we love doing airbnb is that we get to save some money and cook meals for ourselves and eating meals at the table surrounded by the big bay windows was a great way to start our days in San Francisco. Overall, we loved our stay in San Francisco and a big part of that was because we loved staying at Blair's listing.

  • Rob’s place was so amazing from the very point we got dropped of! It is in a great location, the check-in process was very simple and descriptive, and he provided us with many tips of places to visit. They made us feel very comfortable and our stay is one we will never forget. Totally worth every moment and we will stay with them again soon!

  • We never got to actually meet Rob, but he has a beautiful home on mission street! It's spacious, clean, and comfortable. There are lots of amazing restaurants within a couple minutes walk from his home. We recommend Pizza Hacker and Coco's Ramen! For being on a main street, it was relatively quiet so we were pleasantly surprised. We also felt safe in this neighborhood. We mainly used uber for transportation into the city, but local transit is plentiful. 10/10 would recommend. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to SF!

    ROZEN2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rob's house is absolutely beautiful and a great place to stay. He was communicative, flexible, and organized, and had a good system in place for handling multiple guests at a time with no hiccups. The neighborhood is relatively quiet but only a few minutes from the hip part of Mission and only a a 10 minute walk from BART. Overall, great value and would definitely recommend.

However, there is paid parking around the corner at the hospital garage and there is also a street nearby where you can park your car for a week.
What I love most about the apartment is how truly bright it is. Big windows allow for lot's of natural lighting. The space is quite big (for San Francisco standards) with a nice large kitchen for cooking and socializing. The guest room is facing the back which is quiet and shielded from street noise.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with cute little streets, beautiful houses and lot's of parks. And if you are in the mood for entertainment you only need to walk a few block to find great places to eat and drink and people watch.
  • Anka was a great host! Would definitely recommend staying at her place to explore the city.

  • Vibrant gay area that felt safe. Easy access to transport and shops etc in all directions from the apartment. Would mention the stairs up to the apparment of which there were loads and they were very steep so if you have a large heavy suitcase be warned. My friend and I have trouble opening the door on several occasions with the security bolt not opening but other than that enjoyed our stay and loved Milo the dog.

  • Very conviniently located, minutes away from the Castro and Mission. Clean and well-sized bedroom. Very good information on where to go/what to do gathered by Anka.

  • My Wife and I stayed at Anka's place a few weeks ago for an anniversary trip to San Francisco. The space was exactly what we were needing! It was a very clean space, the bed was extremely comfortable and the location could not be beat! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay for a few days.

  • We enjoyed the apartment very much. It's at a great location. The apartment was very clean. Although we did not spend much time there we highly recommended. Anka offered us great tips about restaurants and bars in the area. That was very helpful.

  • My wife and I had a pleasant stay at Anka's place. The apartment was clean and spacious. Anka was also very polite and welcoming.

  • This place is wonderful. Beautiful room, fantastic space. Anka's personal touches and attention to detail around the apartment are really noticeable. The location is fantastic and she's just a lovely person. I'm delighted I stayed here.

  • We had a lovely time staying with Anka. She provided a clean, gorgeous apartment in a very convenient neighbourhood. Anka was extremely helpful host always ready to help with directions or tips about San Fran.

Welcome to San Francisco's Mission District, the sunniest neighborhood in town. Enjoy world-class dining, shopping, and nightlife on Valencia, or a Tartine picnic in Dolores Park. It's all just steps from our 100 year old home. We've been Hosts since 2009, the year Airbnb began, so we can suggest restaurants, share insider sight-seeing ideas, and will hopefully help you have a great visit. We love our home, our hometown, and our neighborhood, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Your sunny room has a queen size bed, and looks out over lush gardens. It includes all the comforts of home... Sofa, dresser, closet space, a rocking chair. Your private (though not "en-suite") bathroom has a "like rain" shower head, over a clawfoot tub. We have a twin mattress available for $60/night, to use for a 3rd Guest or for separate sleeping. (It can go on the floor in the same room, or in our dining room if you'd like a little more space.)
Located between Valencia Street and Dolores Park, we are in a great location for exploring the Mission, as well as the rest of San Francisco. It's an easy walk to the Castro, Haight Street, Hayes Valley, and Noe Valley. And we're close to BART and Muni, so it's easy to visit the Ferry Building, Union Square, Downtown... Everywhere! Then again, you might not want to leave the neighborhood at all... Here's a very incomplete list of spots within 4 blocks of our home: Foodie Heaven: Tartine, Delfina, Bi Rite Market, Mission Chinese Food, Locanda, Foreign Cinema, BiRite Creamery, the list goes on - and seems to grow daily! Shopping: 826 Valencia (Dave Eggers' Pirate Supply Store!), Paxton Gate, Curiosities for Kids, Beta Brand, Mission Bicycle, Self Edge, Weston Wear, Shoe Biz... Dolores Park, the Chapel (for live music), Clarion Alley (home to the CAMP Mural project), the Women's Building (maybe the most famous of the famous Mission Murals), Mission Pool (seasonal outdoor swimming, walk there in your towel, it's 3 doors down!)...
  • I loved the time I spent here. The house was modern, yet held a wonder feeling of history and life. There were listings of suggested restaurants, bicycle rentals, etc. Such valuable information for someone from out of town. I would definitely stay here again. Also, the sheets were so soft and bed was amazing!!

  • Stayed with Ivan and Wendy (and Milo) for six days while visiting my daughters in the Bay Area. Wonderful hosts, beautiful home, great neighborhood for walking and exploring, convenient for transit--what more can I say? This is a welcome alternative to the downtown hotels, especially for those who like to join in all the urban activity during the day and then go home to a quiet and comfortable place to rest. I will definitely be back.

  • Great room with an awesome view!! Convenient location! Two very hospitable hosts and 1 very friendly dog!! This place is convenient to a lot of things ...neighborhood seemed safe, even when we walked home early in the am!! We would definitely recommend to anyone...Thanks again Ivan, Wendy and Milo

  • Yes, I am writing my second review -- they were so awesome I extended my stay! Be sure to try all the food in the area - Gracias Madre has great vegan friendly mexican food nearby, of course the burritos are excellent. The most surprising bit for me was to find my favorite comfort food from India - I've lived across the U.S. and I was super shocked to see it in the Mission. Did I also mention how ridiculously walkable their location is? You can easily walk to great restaurants, Dolores park, two BART stations, and Muni tram stops. I highly recommend that you stay at Ivan and Wendy's!

  • Ivan + Wendy were an absolute gem to stay with. This was my first time staying in a "private room" rather than an entire residents, and I was highly apprehensive for privacy issues but they were beyond accommodating and friendly. In addition, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and cleanliness of their home. Located one block from Delores Park, this spot makes it easy for any outside traveler looking to get some of the best bits of SF in walking distance. Thanks for the great stay guys!!

  • Great stay. Great people. Wonderful stay!

    Hannah2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. Unbeatable location for experiencing SF like a local. We walked across the road to Amnesia to watch some indie bands, wandered half a minute down the road to visit 826 Valencia, had breakfast at Tartine, dinner at the excellent Delfina, and walked back from dinner at La Taqueria. We mostly got an Uber to get around in SF and was very easy - and cheap too if you opt to pool with other passengers.  The bed was very comfy, the room is very sunny as advertised so bring an eye mask (though I think they actually provided one too). There was some space to hang some clothes up and drawers to unpack for a few days. We stored some groceries in the fridge but didnt cook any nights (so many places to eat out).  This was a great neighborhood for wandering, checking out shops, bookstores, boutiques, community organisations, and cafes.  Communication was easy and check in easy too - they were away but arranged for a friend Megan to let us in and she was very welcoming and lovely.  The bathroom was great and very powerful shower lots of hot water, also some little hotel style toiletries if you needed them. Also had a hair dryer which was great.  The home is just gorgeous, the living area was the perfect setting to read a book in the afternoon sun - if we had time!  Ivan and Wendy provide a guidebook in the air bnb app, so you can click to see their recommendations for local sights and restaurants. It was handy particularly as they were away.  We felt very much at home and I would recommend this place highly to anyone wanting to experience a real and evolving area of SF.

  • The room is super clean and new/modern. The shower and bathroom are perfect and there's lots of space for hanging clothes. The bed is pull-out couch, but really comfortable. Amy is very friendly, she made me feel at home, like I had a roommate for the week. We even ordered in together and almost went to a show together (my schedule didn't permit). I highly recommend this place and the host and hope to stay there when I return to SF!

  • As a business traveler this was an easy and comfortable place to stay. The listing is clean and there was a private shower and bathroom in my area so it felt very much like my own place. I was happy to use the gym and enjoyed the cafe on the ground floor for an easy breakfast before work. Very nice place, new, and great SOMA location!

    Abby2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amy was super awesome! Space was clean and there was lots of closet space which was helpful since we were in town for a conference. Bed was very comfortable. Having the window to open at night was great. With easy uber/BART in and out, no problem getting around the city to sight see / grab dinners. Would definitely stay again!

    Joshua2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The AVA building is a modern apartment building and a central location to stay for my convention at Moscone Center. Amy gives you your own electronic key that opens the lobby door and the apartment. The 1BR, 1 Bath suite is in the front of the apt, so you have plenty of privacy and a very large shower. It’s minimalist and clean. The sofa bed is very comfortable with some squeaking when you get in and out. I appreciate that she does not allow outside shoes in the house and has provided a shoe rack at the door. The gym on the second floor has great treadmills, ellipticals, and weights. It was a 20 minute walk to Moscone Center and Uber was quickly available. The pick up point for Uber pool is in the back of the building but I would contact the driver and direct them to pick up at the front. Wi-fi was broken during my visit but she assured me that it would be fixed within the week. Thanks Amy.

We are right in the middle of several very desirable neighborhoods. (And 2 of the 3 Cable Car lines) Steps away from lots of great restaurants, bars, nightlife and shops of all kinds. 96 Walk Score and 95 Transit Score You can walk to: Polk Street, The Fillmore, Chinatown, Japantown, Cable Car Museum, Lombard Street (including the crooked part), Union Street, Chestnut Street, Downtown. Ok, we usually drive to Chestnut Street, but that's because we actually have a garage! In San Francisco! (Maybe you have to live here to know that most people don't have a garage in SF.) Even better, our garage has enough space for you to park too. Also close by: Coit Tower, Union Square, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Exploratorium, Civic Center, Theatre District, Financial District, Ferry Building, The Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Marina Green. (So much to see!) We are also right near several bus lines, if you don't drive. (And the Cable Cars. Don't forget the Cable Cars.)
We live right on the border between two very nice neighborhoods: Pacific Heights and Russian/Nob Hill. Polk street is one block away, and is filled with shops, restaurants, and bars (mainly for locals). There is a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods not far away. Safeway is a short drive. There is a CVS pharmacy literally next door. Because we are centrally located, if you leave the windows open you will hear traffic noise.
  • We enjoyed our stay at Matthews! It was in a very central and lovely neighbourhood in SF. The apartment comes with a secured garage which was very convenient! The apartment itself was very comfortable and we loved all the smart appliances in Matthews apt! Matthew was a great host who was very quick to communicate with us and provided what we needed to ensure a nice stay. Would love to come back when we visit SF next time!

    Isaiah2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! 1. Location- easy walking distance to everything, easy to hop on a bus or cable car and ride around the city. There is a CVS right next to the apartment which is nice if you need little things during your stay. 2. Space was clean- host was very attentive and available for any issues or concerns that came up during the trip 3. Parking- this rental comes with a parking space on the ground floor, this is really nice as driving and parking in the city is a big hassel!!

    Crystal2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Location is great, as well as Matthew who was great a welcoming us. Nonetheless, the flat wasn't has we expected i.e. my business partner was staying in the living room and it's really more of an extension on the corridor without a real separation wall. There's also an issue with the temperature of the flat which was 83 degrees farenheit (28 degrees celcius) and made it impossible to sleep without the window open on a noisy street. Matthew was very helpful and immediately offered to provide air conditionning units, which helped cool the place down to 78 degrees farenheit.

As the entire city of San Francisco is 7 miles by 7 miles, we are still close to everything even though we are not located right in the center of the city. (See public transportation section below for more information.)
  • Nice place, comfortable, a bit far from downtown.

    Sylvain2018-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Being my first AirBnB, I didn’t know what to expect but this cute little place was better than I anticipated. It was very comfortable to stay here and is close enough to get a cheap Uber anywhere. Claudia was quick to response and I appreciated her thoughtfulness. Highly recommend staying here!

    Mina2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia was very welcoming and the appliances were first class. There is a beautiful shower. The unit, while, small is very comfortable.

    Kary2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia's home is exactly as advertised - and then some. It is a very clean, modern living space about 15-20 minutes outside of the city center. You can easily get downtown by using BART or paying around $20 for an Uber ride. Claudia made my birthday trip extra special by giving me a surprise birthday treat and wine upon our arrival. She also provided a very thoughtful welcome basket with extra amenities and suggestions for local restaurants and activities, and was very responsive if we had any questions. Snacks, coffee, and water were also fully stocked and waiting for us. Claudia went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible - even providing us rides into the city and to the airport. I highly recommend staying with her!

    Connie2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is so stylish and cozy! It's completely remodeled and it is beautiful. You won't want to leave! But if you do it is super close to a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station, which makes it easy to get anyway in the area including the airport! Claudia was very hospitable, giving recommendations on local hot spots and responding to requests quickly! I definitely recommend her place for anyone visiting San Francisco. I know if I return I'll be looking to stay here again!

    Chelsea2017-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is Amazing! So close to transportation, the view was spectacular, and the place itself was just so clean. I felt truly at home for the three days I was there. Claudia was a great host, always responding quickly to us and giving us plenty of privacy. The air bnb was new, clean, cozy, and well designed. It was so homey it was hard to leave. I would defiantly stay here again!

Great location!! Walking distance to all the top attractions of San Francisco, in the safe & prestigious Nob Hill neighborhood, and one block to Cable Car. Newly remodeled with modern design but it is inside a beautiful Victorian apartment building on the first floor, no stairs. Hardwood floor, small modern kitchen, marble tiled shower, large closet space. This cozy studio is very bright with lots of windows. There is a laundry room across the unit with commercial grade washer and dryer.
The studio is small and compact perfect for one to two people. Brand new construction with modern design. Although it is a small space, it fully contains its own sitting & dining area. The bedding is a full size wall bed with comfy mattress, functional kitchen, full size bathroom, and large closet space. It is very bright with large windows, quiet at night, supper clean. It is ideal for travelers who are visiting San Francisco and are looking for great value in down town area near everything and accessible by short walking.
As a trending neighborhood, our vibrant community embraces the old and the new. The streets are dotted with upscale boutiques, top rated restaurants, corner bars & swanky lounges, historic theaters and hip nightclubs, as well as ethnic eateries and coffee shops. Great around the corner local market with great deli offering as well as top grocery brands such as Trader Joe’s and whole food.
  • This AirBnB is very modern, clean and efficient. However, guests should understand that it is exceedingly small (under a staircase which can be noisy) apartment with little room to move around.Still, location is very convenient.

    Maureen2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a solid location near a lot of attractions and close to public transport, this is your place. It was a private apartment for a reasonable price, so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. However, it was easy to walk or get a short ride to wherever I needed to go, and I can't complain about privacy. Fred was also a very attentive and eager host who gave me a lot of good suggestions during my stay. That being said, this isn't an apartment for anyone trying to spend ample time in their room. I like to get a private studio instead of a private room in a shared home, because I know there will be at least one day when I'm traveling where I lay in bed, get work done, and relax. It was hard to do here because the wifi was shared throughout the entire apartment complex making it drainingly slow, which is especially frustrating in a city where I can get better wifi in the H&M down the street. It was also a lot louder than I expected in the apartment. The day I showed up there was a dog across the street barking for 5+ hours, which continued to be a trend through the rest of my stay. Also, the room was under the stairs and I would wake up to the sound of stomping down the stairs in the morning. It wasn't a huge issue, but considering how much I'm paying to stay there it was a bit disappointing.

    Christine2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fred was an excellent host, and this apartment's location is worth the intimate space!

The space was small, but very updated, quaint, and efficient. Although it's between two big streets, it's so quiet at night! This studio had everything I need for my trip.

    Jon2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the location of this airbnb. Central to everything, clean, newly updated and all the basic necessities you would need. Fred was also easily accessible and provided recommendations on places to go. The apartment was compact but we didn't spend much time in there anyways so it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Small, affordable private studio opening to a beautiful yard in SF's hottest neighborhood, walking distance to all the restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars the Mission District has to offer. Best for solo adventurers but doable for cozy couples wanting an affordable basecamp in one of the world's greatest cities. But definitely not suitable for more than 2 people.
We call it the Jimi Hendrix Suite because for several years we had a painting of Jimi hanging on the wall. We renovated the room in 2013 and removed the drywall where Jimi had hung. When we exposed the original wooden wall behind it, we were stunned to find the words "Jimi Hendrix Experience" painted immediately behind the drywall where Jimi painting had hung for so many years. We suspect the former owners were big Jimi fans and painted this in the '60s. We love him too!
  • Couldn't meet the host in person, but she provided a smooth backup plan for getting me keys upon arrival. The photos were accurate. The place was small, but cozy and overlooks a beautiful garden. Even had a fridge and microwave! Ceiling was low so if you're 6+ feet, you'll probably hit your head. Verizon reception and WiFi were both spotty, but I didn't mind as I didn't spend much time there aside from sleeping.

    Ray2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • For what we needed for our stay in San Francisco - a small space in the city but away from the city - this was the perfect match! We really, really enjoyed having the garden available to us. It was the perfect way to spend early mornings before heading out.

    Jeff2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia and her husband (sry I don't remember his name) where very welcoming and gave us great advices for places to eat and see around. The studio is cozy, the bed very confortable, the garden beautifully maintained and the whole thing right in the middle of the Mission. We had a great time here !

    Frank2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! Nice cozy space that was perfect for what we were looking for. The area has great restaurants and little food shops within walking distance and is a short uber ride away from even more amazing things the city has to offer. I recommend this spot to anyone who is traveling through these parts!

    Drew2017-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was so cozy and amazing! It was the perfect place to stay during our first trip to San Francisco. Cynthia is so helpful and accommodating. If you’re looking to visit San Francisco I highly recommend staying here!

Easy and free parking in the garage. A 5 minute walk to Glen Park BART.
  • This place was an amazing value! View of the San Francisco hills from the private back yard garden was stunning. Way closer to Glen Park BART than I expected -- took me all of two minutes to walk to the house from the station, even with luggage. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again during my next visit to San Francisco and will recommend to my friends. 10/10!

  • Grace and Matt's place is very private, secure and comfortable. The deck and outdoor space is wonderful and relaxing with great views. The location couldn't be better. It was residential but only 2 blocks from the center of Glen Park with wonderful restaurants, coffee houses and a great grocery store. The Bart is right there as well so all of the bay area is easily and quickly accessible without a car. Grace and Matt were quick to respond to any needs and the space was extremely well maintained and clean. Not to mention the heated floor in the bathroom. I will definitely be coming back here on future trips to SF.

  • David was the ideal host. Although we didn't take advantage of his amazing hospitality to the fullest as we weren't at his place much more than to sleep, he was nothing short of perfect to us. He really truly cares that you have everything you need and that you enjoy your stay in the city. Thank you again so much for opening up your home to us.

    Ken2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of David's accommodation. Bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped and clean. Uber was a godsend - you are situated a little way from the centre of SF - pool option is interesting! Would recommend to friends.

  • David's place is fantastic! Great accommodation in a perfect location in San Francisco. David is a great host and very accessible should you need anything - Airbnb at its best.

  • David's place was great! Really nice room and ensuite. David was very helpful and recommended some really nice restaurants and also made us cookies! The house itself isn't too close to any main areas but is in a lovely residential location that is just up the hill from the Castro area and easy to access via bus.

    Ellen2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • David's place is perfect for your stay at SF. It is very well located, very close to castro and the mission and downtown. The neighborhood is very trendy and safe. I would definatevely stay here again. David was extremely kind to us, he advise us on places to go. He is the perfect guest. Don't think twice, this is the place you want to stay at!!.

    Alvaro2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic host! Great communication, sparkling clean and we'll appointed room w easy private access. Good value, fun location in the city, homemade cookies, yep! Thanks David for making us feel welcome in a big city new to us.

    John2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • David was friendly and accommodating. After booking he reached out by email to make sure we would be well taken care of. Upon arrival we found a handwritten welcome note and a plate of cookies which was a nice touch. The room felt like a nice 3 star hotel room with nice decorations, clean and comfortable sheets, well stocked bathroom, and large TV. The room is private and easy to access. There are cats in the main house but in the basement apartment where we stayed. Transportation to the city is a short walk to the bus to get down the mountain and another short walk to the transfer stations. Overall a very nice stay and a great value for a San Francisco trip.

    Bobby2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • David is kind and friendly, we had fresh baked cookies upon arrival. And the space is so lovely. Having our own entrance and floor was so nice, bed cozy, furnishings lovely, the pictures online dont do it justice, this space is awesome! And rhe neighborhood a delight, cute little stairways up to Twin Peaks, the flora along the way incredible, walking in this area of town is our favorite. One of our best Air BnB stays ever, and definitely the best we've found in SF.

Come share our Cozy Artsy home in SF's Portola District. One bedroom available in a home with our family and two cats. We live in home. 2 min walk to bus & 15 min ride to subway. 15 drive downtown or 45 min on public transit. Walk out front door & head out on a hike in Maclaren Park.... come enjoy a quiet get away from the hubbub of the City... we are not super close to tourist area but it's a sweet neighborhood. Lots of street parking! Easy freeway access! 15 minute drive to the SFO airport!
Guests seem to love the bed!
Visit Maclaren Park to hike! Breakfast at Tiffany's is super yummy! Four Barrel Coffee is also great! There is a grocery store called Grocery Outlet about 10 blocks away. And we have a new brew pub in the hood, Ferment Drink Repeat! 7 min drive to Bernal Heights where there are some more restaurants, bars, and cute shops.
  • A very spacious clean room in a lived in home. We had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and her two daughters & got to know the two cats who are wonderfully friendly. The location was perfect for us as we'd already spent a few nights in the city, so knew the transport system to get back in, and the room was homely which was a welcome change from hotels. We ordered a takeaway on the first night and Breakfast at Tiffany's is definitely worth a visit!!

    Kimberley2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this listing was convenient and pleasant! Everything was exactly as described and was everything we desired. Michelle was easy to communicate with so that everything from parking to obtaining the keys was smooth. We appreciated the location and the comfort and our decision to stay here definitely enhanced our San Francisco visit. Would recommend for it's easy access into the city and two cute cats. Thank you!

  • Michelle was such a wonderful host. She wasn't just a host, she was a friend. She made sure to make me feel welcomed in her cozy home. I stayed there for a little over 3 weeks and I felt like family! Her kids are a pleasure and each of us bonded well with each other. The whole house is a creative artistic bunch! Definitely was a perk. A lot of positivity flowing through this atmosphere. Michelle was very helpful and supportive as I transitioned my way from Florida into San Francisco. Oh, and she might possibly have the best view of San Francisco. So add that to the list. :)

    Lauren2016-11-08T00:00:00Z

    Elizabeth2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • KJ's place was great! It has all the amenities you would ever need, has a comfortable bed, TV, Wi-Fi, dishes etc. It's a quiet building in a safe neighborhood. It's walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, Golden Gate Park, Thai massage (on Geary), Japantown, Green Apple Books and so much more. It has easy to the bus downtown and elsewhere. I would highly recommend KJ's place.

    Millennium Flats2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fantastic. The apartment is spacious clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a great clawfoot bathtub. You have to be gentle with the curtain when getting in and out of the tub. Bring your own toiletries there are products there but it's unclear if they are for the guest so we used our own. Overall it was a great stay highly recommended.

  • We decided to stay in SF last min and I was able to find K.J.'s place. It's in a great location. Her apartment was clean, quiet, charming and fully equipped. Street parking wasn't too difficult to find. I was also able to bring my 10 lbs dog.

    Arlene2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is spacious for a 1BR in SF. The decor is modern in a beautiful vintage setting. There is a full functioning modern kitchen and a deep claw foot tub in the remodeled bathroom. The apartment is clean & painted in soft soothing colors. KJ was super easy to communicate with when I had questions. There is a great little market (Molly Stone) nearby that has the basics plus an even larger selection of gourmet & take out items. We arrived at the apartment at all hours of the day & were able to find parking less than a block away. Another plus we did not hear any loud street noises from this apartment day or night.

This is a beautiful and bright two bedroom penthouse apartment with a beautiful modern kitchen, a huge roof deck, a backyard with a hot tub and BBQ, two bathrooms and two bedrooms, both of which have beautiful, high quality CAL KING BEDS. The kitchen is fully furnished for any chef. The living room is equipped with a huge 60 inch flat screen TV (brand new in Nov 2017) , with cable, netflix, etc. There are also sonos speakers throughout, controlled via a voice activated alexa show system.
The House was just built in 2012, so everything is new. It has a modern open floor plan, huge rooms, and the third floor penthouse has a massive roof deck. The beautifully landscaped backyards also has a BBQ and a huge 10 person hot tub.
This apartment is located in a quiet sleepy neighborhood that gets the most sun of any neighborhood in san Francisco, but has a low walking score. However, our home could serve as a great central base for exploring louder and more lively parts of the city. This quiet urban escape is perfect for relaxing, working or discrete entertaining.

My place is close to Fisherman's Wharf, it's on PIER 39, Musée Mécanique, In-N-Out Burger, Scoma's Restaurant, Ferry Building, Levi Square, Public Transportation, North Beach, China Town, Financial District, ATT Park. You’ll love my place because of Because it's like your own little island, the people at friendly and you can immediately disconnect and unwind by walking onto the dock. Sit back in the cockpit and enjoy a cocktail while you watch the sunset or as you gaze at Coit Tower.
There is wireless internet in the Marina Facilities, but it does not reach the boat. The marina facilities is a secure quite area with tables and chairs.
  • The location is fantastic and the combination of amenities on the boat and the dock were perfect for us. It was just a few minutes to all the business of Pier 39, but still a quiet place to rest and relax. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

  • We loved staying on the boat at pier 39-- it was definitely a comfortable and unique experience. Emily helped us check in smoothly and showed us everything we needed to know and provided some local recommendations. While pier 39 is very touristy and bustling, the boat is tucked away and very quiet and private. Necessities were available such as linens, towels and they even left a bottle of wine. There are space heaters available as it gets chilly at night but we didn't wind up needing them-- the blankets were warm and comfortable.

    Lisa2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for people looking to be in the middle of town. Could see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge from the boat and restaurants and attractions were within walking distance. The boat may be in a popular area but it is secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet.

    Mikko2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were so happy to find that Alex and Jon didn't misrepresent the accommodations of this rental in any way. (I imagine that can happen quite often.) Upon arrival we discovered parking at the bottom of the block, on the intersecting street, was much easier than trying to park in front of the residence (due to the extreme angle of the vertical parking spot in front of the residence). We felt perfectly safe parking in this neighborhood. The front gate was locked and secure just as the directions explained as was the code to get into the building. The door to our room had its own lock, so we knew it wasn't accessible to anyone else in the residence. This was of great peace of mind as we had lots of luggage and things with us. The cleanliness was apparent immediately upon arrival. That is always appreciated! We thought the use of the space was quite smart and it provided us with anything we could have needed, yet we didn't feel cramped in any way. That's crucial and though we were only staying one night, we would have been just as comfortable staying longer. There a little table with two chairs, a desk, a bed, a lounge chair, a refrigerator, a two top stove, a toaster oven, a microwave, dishes, pans, knives, a coffee machine (with coffee) and a window. The spacious bathroom was supplied with plenty of towels (just make sure not to use them to take off your makeup). There was hand-soap on the sink counter and a dispenser containing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. One feature we liked very much was the low shelf on the wall opposite the door under the window. It ran from one end to the the other which was great for all of our little things and it continued into the bathroom all the way up to the sink. Perfect for girls and all of our "necessities!" I think the pricing was reasonable/fair (despite the parking) as it is a little far from the hustle and bustle. We used Lyft and we definitely recommend getting the App. There is always somebody nearby and the rates are great! In case the tone of our description isn't clear, you can be rest assured that we would be happy to recommend Alex and Jon's place to anyone interested in staying in San Francisco. Thanks again, Nicole (NV) & Kristi (WA) (Checked in July 4th and checked out July 5th.)

  • Wonderful stay in San Francisco. This location was an easy commute to downtown San Francisco. The parking spot was wonderful since I was traveling with my car. It was a very safe area. Check in was easy and everything I needed was provided.

  • During our first trip to San Francisco, we really didn't know what to expect although excited at the opportunity to visit. Alex and Jon's place was convenient to everything and in a nice/quiet neighborhood. The room was outfitted with IKEA furniture which we LOVE and being able to park in front of the house was a big plus. We are still recovering from driving in San Fran but have nothing but good things to say about our trip and our stay at this Airbnb!

  • Alex and Jon's place is a great home base for any trip to San Francisco! It's comfortable, clean, and cozy, and it was great coming back to the room after a long day in the city. The parking spot is a great plus. We would absolutely stay again the next time we're in town!

    Katie2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alex + Jon's space was very accommodating. They have all the amenities you need no matter if your staying on night for business or week for vacation. They are very responsive as well. Jon replied immediately when I was looking for parking and was very flexible with allowing extra space for our rental. The neighborhood is centrally located and we felt very safe. The guest room locks so you have complete privacy and sense of security. The only things I'd note is this is a downstairs room. The walls seemed a bit thin so the movement from upstairs woke me up in the morning. Also there are pets in the home. While they seemed to stay isolated if you'r highly allergic this may affect you.

Newly remodeled Master bedroom in the Portola neighborhood. Cedric & Jun are the owner of this great home and would love to receive you and meet you during your visit of the Bay Area. The house is about 15 minutes away from SFO and from Downtown SF. A few express buses to downtown are also running 2 blocks away from the house. Street parking is very often available within 2 blocks. Secret phrase: Be Nice and Care!
Our Home has a modern look and is spread between 2 floors. In total, we have 3 beds and 2 baths. The master bedroom is freshly remodeled and furnished with taste. We use the garage as a small gym that you should feel free to use. However, it is fairly easy to find parking spots within a few blocks, and sometimes right in front of the house!
The Portola neighborhood is a hidden gem. Walk down San Bruno avenue for some traditional food, get to Downtown SF via bus within 20 minutes and take a walk in the amazing (and underrated) John MacLaren's Park.
  • Cedric and Jun were very attentive, responsive, and accommodating hosts, and the place was a great value. Also you have complete privacy, with your own bathroom, and as a added bonus, a deck, with incredible views. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Modern and luxurious home located in Mission Bay with excellent views of the city! It is walking distance from the Moscone Center, AT&T park, UCSF, Spark Social (Food Trucks), MUNI and the Caltrain. It’s about 20 minutes walk to downtown SF and Financial District.
It’s a huge and comfortable. The second bedroom occupied by me. The guest will have plenty of privacy and space.
It is walking distance to the restaurants, downtown shopping center (Powel Station), Embarcadero. Its located next to waterfront, great place for morning runs. Also, there are a few grocery store next to the building.
  • Really nice room in a great building and location. Super clean and modern. Aziz couldn't have made the process easier!

    Samantha2018-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Aziz was very welcoming. His place is nice and modern and clean. I was able to walk to work downtown and there were plenty of restaurants and a safeway very close.

    Paul2018-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The home is clean and spacious. The room was private and it offered my own space. The View is amazing and it feels like you're on top of the world! Aziz is super chill, quiet and I only saw him once for a quick second. I enjoyed the overall experience. I would stay here again.

    Paul2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Aziz was great! He was easy to communicate with and was very flexible with checking in and out. The building has great amenities like a gym. The place was spotless. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Kayla2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • I was passing through town very briefly and Aziz's place was just what I needed. He himself is kind and accommodating, the place was spotless and the location was convenient for me. There's a Panera and a Safeway a block away for immediate needs and tons of other stores and restaurants nearby that are easy to get to. Big screen tv with Netflix in the living room, personal temperature controls in the guest area, private bath, and a secure building with a concierge topped ev thing off excellently

    Cerise2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Room is fantastic, nice view and good amenities. The room looks even better than the picture, worth every penny.

  • As advertised!

    Todd2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved the view of the city during the day and at night. It was wonderful to have natural light come through the window, esp. because the sunrises on the opposite side of the apartment. Aziz was very accomodating (he had extra blankets, towels, and body wash available for us to use) and very hospitable (he left fruut and other health snacks in the counter. He also was willing to let us use his cookware and eating utensils ). The place was also spotless. I also reeeeally like that Aziz provided quick responses to questions via text.

This unit is located on the 2nd floor of a 6 story building. Presenting genuine Francisco old style and charm, this building was built in 1915. The place is 650 sqf 2 BD, 1B apt located in the ❤️ of San Francisco. Conveniently located close to everything needed for a great vacation or business trip: shops and restaurants, popular tourist attractions, Financial District, Moscone Center and 14 min. walking distance to famous Union Square. The neighborhood has an European vibe to it!
You are paying for the LOCATION. Our apartment is well maintained but since it is an old building and a rental you are limited to what you can do. The Room: • Freshly painted. • Queen size bed with brand new mattress. • Fresh towels and linens as well as free toiletry, shampoo and soap. • Apple TV connected to cable ( CNN, Travel Channel etc.). • Sectional sleeper sofa (queen size). • Modern blinds. • Large dresser with 6 drawers • Modern and brand new area rug • Electric fireplace/heater. ***The room can accommodate up to 4 people. There is an extra charge for more than 2 guests. KITCHEN *** limited kitchen access, EXCEPT if you need to do laundry or use the refrigerator. Full access for stays longer than 7 days. • Brand new kitchen furniture set. area. • Granite countertops. • Water filter. • Brand new 2 in 1 LG washer/dryer machine. • Breakfast nook. • No stove, it takes too much space! I use Instant Pot or a counter plug in burner and a toaster oven for baking- it works great! • Appliances available for use: Vitamix. Humero slow juicer Nespresso coffee machine ( provide own pods). Espresso and cappuccino maker. Salad maker and food chopper. BATHROOM • Freshly painted. • Stocked with toiletry and clean fresh towels.
    • Plenty of bus lines, stores, dining, and many famous San Francisco destinations. • Financial District, and San Francisco's famous Union Square ( 15 min. walk). • Close to trendy Polk Street nightlife, retail and restaurants. Go have a delicious San Franciscan gourmet dinner after a great day in the city! Polk street has several iconic spots for doughnuts ( Bob's Donuts, open 24/7) as well as seafood (Swan Oyster Depot). Also, Muy Muy (5-7 min. walk) is amazing for breakfast! If you are planning to go during the weekend make sure you go early since there is always a line, however it moves fast... • 2 blocks from Trader Joe's (10 min. walk) and 1 block from Walgreens (3-5 min. walk). • Holmes Bakery ( 2 min. walk), seriously you have to try that, it is the hottest spot in town, offers freshly baked pastry. Go there early (they open at 7:00 am) they sell out very fast and the lines can be pretty long, mainly on Fridays and the weekends. • For dinner and drinks I recommend Millers Rest ( 2 min. walk) , The Saratoga (5-6 min. walk) and the Rusted Mule (8-10 min. walk) there are plenty more lounges, bars, restaurants on Polk street if you are looking for a spot within walking distance.
  • Highly recommended To stay in this apartment. Thank you very much Ana and Matt! It was a great stay at your place. I love everything in this lovely apartment, clean, quiet and super nice location. Very accessible for everything. Definitely come back to stay if I have a chance to come back in the next future. I love everything. 5 stars!

  • I had a brief but extremely pleasant stay at this lovely apartment. I was graciously accommodated on very short notice and arrived very late in the evening after a long flight. Check-in was exactly as described and couldn't have been easier. Despite the late hour, I was greeted warmly and shown all the helpful touches around the room that would make my stay comfortable. My only regret is that my quick trip did not allow for me to stay here longer!

We provide branded, quality amenities (toilet paper, shampoo, etc) and we provide a little welcome "basket" of snacks and drinks upon your arrival. We do thorough inspections after each cleaning to make sure that things are clean, tidy and set up properly. We've really tried to set up the space the way we'd want all our future AirBnB's to be! We also live right upstairs, so if you need anything, we're never very far away! SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: We have a brand new queen sized Tuft & Needle 5 star mattress, a comfortable couch for kids or petite guests and a twin floor memory foam mattress. We provide 4 pillows for the queen mattress and 1 pillow each for the couch and floor mattress - couch and floor mattress is made up upon request.
Lower Haight is right smack in the middle of San Francisco! It is one of the easiest neighborhoods for public transportation. We are a 5 minute walk to the muni train and have multiple bus lines right outside. We're in the center of it all, yet our neighborhood has a very chill vibe to it.

  • The stay here is really great, not only for the clean room and great location, but also for the kindness that Mary together with her family showed to us. The room is large and clean, and we're surprised to find that the mattress as well as the pillow are perfect. Mary gave us the permission to use the kitchen and also provided us with some great fruit and food. My parents did feel at home when we stayed here.

Bring your own coffee grounds and instant coffee and teas are provided. Newly remodeled private bathroom, full closet, 1 large dresser & 2 small dressers and an extra space to store your luggage. There is access to a washer & dryer (laundry supplies included). Your place is in a quiet, safe, walkable neighborhood. Your large studio is 400 sq/ft (37 square meters) on the ground floor - also known as the first floor - of a two level private home. Sleeping accommodations are: 1) High quality kind size bed. There is a mattress pad heater to warm up a toasty bed - dials control either the right side or left side and are located on the night tables. 2) The pillow topped queen size air mattress inflates electrically and open the plug to quickly deflate it. It's easy to put away during the day, if you choose to. 3) Chaise lounge (sofa) - extremely comfortable and guests have liked using it for younger kids. There is access to high speed internet. Free street parking is available, much easier than some other SF locations. Folks have found parking on our block or within a couple of blocks. Please be sure to check the street signs for two days of the month that particular street might be cleaned. Public transportation is nearby and frequent. Uber and Lyft drivers are frequently right in our neighborhood and are a very affordable option, as well. If you're arriving earlier than our check-in time, we can arrange to store your luggage. ***If you would like to store your luggage for an early arrival, please let me know a day before your arrival so that I can provide a key in the lock box to the garage storage area before leaving for work.*** Sometimes I've been able to provide an earlier check in: 1. If there are no guests checking out that day, or 2. If guests have checked out earlier than their check out time and my housekeeper has been able to come earlier. I usually don't know this until the day of check in, but am happy to communicate with you if it's a possibility. Also, I can store your luggage later than your check out time if need be.
Our neighborhood is very well situated - 2 1/2 blocks from Golden Gate Park and 8 blocks from the Pacific Ocean. Great little neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops. A good sized organic market is 5 blocks away.
  • Very clean, quiet neighborhood, peek of ocean view. Parking can be a challenge late at night, as you'd expect for SF, and you may have to walk a few blocks.

  • Anna’s place was very clean and near the Golden Gate and other great spots. Anna is also very good at responding to your messages if you ever need anything. I highly would recommend her place. • Our stay at Anna’s was very good and enjoyable. The location was great for us & safe. Anna was very friendly and responsive to our needs and requests. Good points can be said about many aspects including the location, laundry, bath, and mattress / pillows. We do recommend the apartment & would stay again.

  • We arrived at this place after dark, It was a little bit inconvenient to find the lock box and get the key out of the box and get inside through 3 doors, but we did it! Anna replied to our questions promptly and she recommended some good choices of restaurants. The place was clean and unexpectedly comfortable. Anna was very thoughtful that to have cooked eggs, frozen waffles prepared in the fridge. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay conveniently.

  • My family and I really enjoyed staying at Todd's lovely apartment! The place is very modern, generous and well suited for couples and families. It is perfectly equipped with cutlery and dishes and the WiFi works very quickly. Parking spots can also be found nearby. Todd recommend us several delicious restaurants and helped us to get the best out of our SF experience with his insider tips and accommodating helpfulness! We definitely recommend this place and we'll stay at the apartment next time again!

    Jessica2015-05-20T00:00:00Z

  • Celebrated a fantastic birthday weekend with friends here in SF! Right from the start, I knew this was going to be a great AirBnB experience because of how responsive, accommodating, and friendly Todd was. I asked for a few restaurant and activity suggestions and he responded with a ton of fun places that ended up being some of our trip highlights! Although we got there a bit early, Todd was kind enough to meet and greet us all upon arrival. He helped take our luggage into the apartment as it was getting cleaned/ prepped for our official check-in time and suggested a good lunch spot around the corner called Garden House Cafe. When it came time for check-in, he gave us a quick rundown of the apartment which was stocked with enough towels, pillows, and linens for 8 (I had notified Todd a few days before that we might have 2 extra people staying with us too). As we settled in, I noticed a wine bottle and birthday card with my name on it and the sweetest greetings/ drawings from Todd's amazing family!!! Overall, it was an wonderful stay for a quick weekend trip with friends. The space was well-stocked, clean, and comfortable. All the bases were covered and we did not feel uncomfortable at all - in fact, we felt at home! Great experience and would definitely recommend!

    Wenona2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Todd and tatyana where gracious hosts, right from the start they suggested a great Chinese restaurant that was just blocks away.

    Christian2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • If Todd and Tatyana's place is available on your planned visit, don't think twice and just book right away! Our trip to SF was made more special thanks to this awesome home. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood, away from the busy areas but the location is very convenient to the major sightseeing destinations. There's a nearby CVS and various great local restaurants (tried the Burmese-Thai one just right around the corner). We were able to do much more than our previous visit a couple of years ago.

    Elgin2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
