We live in an 1895 Victorian top flat with 12 foot ceilings on the best block in San Francisco. Our calendar is always up to date. Location Location Location~ Our home is close to the Mission, Lower Haight, and 2.5 blocks from the Castro theater. The underground is 3 blocks away, with a street car even closer. The room is small and cosy, but a great price for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US! Please fill out your profile if you are interested~and make sure to arrange a time to meet prior to your arrival, I lead a busy lifestyle, work full time, and wouldn't want to miss anyone! Check in is at 5 and we are 37 steps up from street level. Restaurants are plentiful and beautiful Dolores Park is quite close. Your room has a twin day bed 75 inches long with a desk and a solid door. The room is 9.25 feet by 8 feet. Amenities include wireless and a gorgeous full kitchen. For all you foodies out there BiRite Creamery, Tartine, Delfina's Pizza and Proper are within 4.5 blocks of our front door. Michelin rated Range is just a few farther. As much as we love bikes, and we do, we don't have space for storage. If you rent one please return it at the end of the day or lock up on the street at your own risk. Please ask if you would like to have a friend for a short visit.
  • My stay at Brenda’s place was short but would have loved to stay longer! The room was very clean and quaint and the bathroom is shared, which was not an issue at all. The location is fantastic, literally a 2-5 minute walk to great restaurants, cafes, and shops. Parking in San Francisco can be quite a hassle but I had little problem with finding a place to park. Brenda was very kind, open, easy to speak with, and does a great job ensuring you feel at home. I highly recommend staying at Brenda’s!

  • I stayed 3 days at Brenda's and I had a great experience in San Francisco, the house and Brenda are simply wonderful.

    Paula2013-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is perfect. I spent a month in the Brenda’s home, and it was the best choice. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, full of art decorated. The room is great with a super comfy bed, I sleep very well, no noise in the street. The location is a great place to stay with plenty of great bars, parks, clubs, restaurants and good food, good night life for dance, concert, theater. It is close to many public transportation (the BART line is excellent for transport to and from the airport and city centre) and the house is also located in a safe and convenient neighborhood. Brenda e Serena are wonderful: welcoming, helpful, easygoing incredibly kind, helpful and warm. They made me feel right at home, and for me it was like being in a family. I strongly recommend staying with Brenda. I Hope to meet Brenda e Serena again next time in SF. if you want to book in SF, this is the place. Thank so much and I miss you. Ps. Ah yes…you can not fall in love with Boo and Moo, dog and cat so sweet

  • I had great time staying at Brenda's house. She is an exellent host, very friendly and helpful. The place was beautiful and the location perfect. I can really recommend staying with Brenda while you're in San Francisco. I only had very few days in SF but I would like to come back and stay at Brenda's place again. Thanks for everything!!

  • Great location in the heart of Castro. Brenda is super friendly and fun to talk to. Her dog and cat are super cute and not intrusive at all. She helped me getting around the city and her flat is super clean and everything you need to enjoy your stay in San Francisco. Highly recommended!

    Adrian2012-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • By far my best Airbnb stay to date! Where to start? The apartment itself is magnificent, oozing an old, San Franciscan charm . The bedroom was spacious, with an incredibly comfortable bed and curtains which could black out the brightest of days. The kitchen and bathroom were both large and fully equipped to do whatever your heart desired. Location-wise the apartment is incredibly close to Castro street, only a few blocks away, with lovely shops and restaurants scattered about, the closest restaurant being a literal stone's throw away. Brenda is the most marvelous Airbnb host I have ever encontered. Her communications were incredibly clear regarding checking in, and her tips about town were spot on. Brenda went beyond the call of duty of an Airbnb host and was one of the most welcoming people I've ever met, making me feel like a part of the household there. If you're traveling alone and wanting to stay near the Castro neighborhood then this is the place to stay, you won't regret it. I'm already planning my next trip back.

    Thornton2013-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's place rocks!! It is in the best location in SF you could ever ask for, her house is lovely, clean and welcoming and she was a very kind, friendly host. The room is cute and compact and it suited me great as I didn't have much luggage. It was very clean and comfortable. Recommended!

    Kerry2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was very happy to stay with Brenda. The place is perfectly located and the room and appartement are beautiful. Plus Brenda is very nice and fun to talk to. If I would go to SF again I would certainly try to stay there again and only can highly recommend it.

Two minutes from the front door you can catch a MUNI bus to the nearby BART (underground) station. Or take a walk over Bernal Hill to BART and the Mission District and see some amazing views of the city and the Bay. Freeway access is nearby and easy.
Bernal Heights is a very popular neighborhood. It's interesting, safe, convenient, beautiful, quiet. The best place to live in SF!
  • Mike and Nic have a lovely apartment, the photos are very accurate. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and well-connected. There are lots of shops, bars and cafes a short walk away and a really convenient bus down to Mission just up the road. Mike and Nic were away during our visit so we didn't get a chance to meet them, but they were very helpful via email. We had a minor breakage and they immediately organised for someone to come by and repair it. Very good hosts with a wonderful property.

  • Really nice place to be with a family. Good location, I recommend to book here and climb the hill just behind to get a great vista point.

    Jerome2013-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place is just like you see it in the photos. Mike and Nic were accessible and helpful when needed. We did underestimate the hills, so take comfy shoes and keep in mind there are a couple of buses that go by very close. My partner and I had a great time.

    Carlos 2013-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice, spacious and clean apartment. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and easy to find a parking spot. Buses are nearby to different area. We enjoyed our stay.

    Enrica2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience. The location is great to enjoy a unique neighborhood in San Francisco. Cool downtown and easy uber ride to all the sights. The place itself is just as described. Spacious with a great bed and all the amenities. We would stay there again and highly recommend.

    Mara2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • I had a GREAT stay at Mike and Nic's place. The space is calm, quiet and has all the conveniences. Mike and Nic were responsive and attentive hosts. It was great having the space to myself, and the neighborhood atmosphere was friendly and congenial. There was easy access to two bus lines; just get ready to climb a few of San Francisco's famed 'hills'...They are doozies! The room (a converted corner store) is comfortable, with a super gas fire place and big screen t.v. The bed is extremely comfy. And the huge dining room table is a real plus. Decor is consistent with the 1920's vintage ethos. And the little kitchenette is well outfitted for small to large meals. An all around nice place to stay in Bernal Heights. Highly recommended.

    Jim2012-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was everything that was advertised and more. Such a lovely studio that I want to recommend it to anyone and everyone! It was easy to find and perfectly comfortable and spacious. The pictures don't do it justice -it's absolutely gorgeous inside and not to mention very clean, neat, and pristine. My family absolutely loved staying here, they raved on and on about how nice it was. As a first time Airbnb customer I can honestly say that I was 100% satisfied and I'm going to be booking this place again in the future, it was very much worth it.

    Fern2012-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Mike and Nic's place. The apartment looks exactly as it does in the pictures and you certainly feel at home the moment you walk inside. The neighborhood has lots of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby as well as places to walk around. If you don't have a car (which we didn't) the bus stop is less than a minute walk from the house and takes you directly to the subway station - downtown San Fran is only a few stops from here. If you're looking for a cozy apartment in a quieter neighborhood in San Fran then this is place for you. We would definitely stay here again if we're back in San Fran.

One bedroom sanctuary with a beautiful garden view and cozy fireplace. Comes with it's own entrance just steps from bus lines, train and all that Haight Street has to offer. Complete privacy with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast bar.
If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.
You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.
  • Sara was awesome with communications and was the perfect host. It was actually sister and family that stayed with her an she couldn't have been more accommodating. They had a wonderful time in San Francisco and this was in no small part thanks to Sara. Oh and my niece loved her dog!

    Campbell2015-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a great location! Sara left us some snacks and was very nice in welcoming us to the neighborhood.

    Matthew2014-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, and Sara is too. Lots of (very clean!) space, really nice backyard and close to all the things we wanted to see and do in town. The place is full of inspiring books about SF and Sara gives great advice despite being fairly new to the city. We will be coming back to stay here the next time we are in San Francisco!

    Felix2015-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot ,a comfy retreat after a day exploring San Francisco. Sara makes loads of great eating suggestions nearby . We loved staying and will be back. Thank you Sara.

    Megan2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved San Francisco and we think that Sara's place had a lot to do with that. Great location, in a nice residential neighbourhood two blocks away from vibrant Haight St. where you can find bars and restaurants (the Thai restaurant is great!), coffee shops and very interesting shopping ideas. It is also very close to the beautiful Golden Gate Park, great if you have children. There you can rent bicycles, and we think that is the best way to get to know The City. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet. The view to the garden and the sweet smell of flowers make a great difference. If you have a car you can park it right outside easily. We saw Sara very briefly but she was always very friendly and gave us some good tips about the town. And she also has a great selection of books about San Francisco! We definitely recommend this place.

    Mara & Chris2014-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • My host made me feel very welcome. She was ready and waiting for my arrival. The apartment was fresh, clean and easy to move right in. The neighborhood met all of my expectations and beyond. It is lovely and fun to stay in the Haight. I was in San Francisco for work and to visit family. Sara's place was perfect for me.

    Gretchen2015-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was very helpful and was a great host. She gave us a lot of tips of what to do and where to eat. The place looks even better in reality and we highly recommend it to others.

    Martin2014-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This property is very attractive and very nicely situated near Haight, as portrayed in the photos and described. Sara was very attentive in communication with me, and nicely had a bottle of wine along with chocolates as a warm welcome. There were two formidable issues that arose during the stay that ought to be noted: 1) My adult daughter stayed with me the first night (Friday), and I confirmed with Sara that the pull out would be suitable for her. That night was awful, as the insulation between ceiling and apartment is very flimsy and Sara's daughter was entertaining until after 2 am. It was impossible to sleep and I had to call Sara after that, upon which sound gradually diminished. Rugs need to separate the floors, and/or stricter rules on that kind of commotion really needs to be enforced, given the premium the apartment commands. 2) Pullout is very uncomfortable (springs and flimsy mattress), and even my daughter could not really abide by it. Her sleep was severely disrupted by both this and the commotion, and it placed a distinct damper on the visit. I had communicated prior to visiting as to whether the pullout was suitable for a person, and was reassured that it was. I am sorry to report these circumstances, as I think Sara is a gracious host. Second night, on my own sans daughter, was fine.

  • Great room. I stayed overnight for a work trip. Slept extremely well - the bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, other guests were quiet and I didn't see them. The room was a little stuffy the first night, but by leaving the overhead fan on it eventually got better. Overall it was a nice space and I would stay there again.

    Janice2017-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff was a great host, quick to respond to any questions I had and suggested lovely places to check out.

    Chelle2016-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I stayed here for one night. We came in late from out of town, it was easy to find, and there’s great parking right next-door. Jeffrey could not have been kinder or more helpful. The room was beyond expectation, and the bed was super comfortable and we slept great. The neighborhood has lots of options for eating within a few minutes walking distance. There wasn’t one thing I did not love. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

    Wendie2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! It was quiet and so close to so many fabulous shops, cafes and restaurants. I was only here 1 night but would definitely return if it was available again. Actually tried to come back on my return to SF but sadly it was already booked. Slept very well in the comfortable bed with divine sheets. Remember if you require a kettle to ask Jeff and he will happily provide one. Two recommendations - for great coffee and breakfast around the cnr visit Jane Cafe which opens early and Delfina Pizzeria for a casual dinner just next door.

    Jane2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey's place is great! Location is one of the best in the city, just a couple of blocks from Fillmore street and Alta Plaza park.

    Dzmitry2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice time at Jeff's place. It is a lovely, well appointed room and bath. We usually stay at Airbnb apartments so I can cook sometimes but we're only in SF for two nights. Great location and Jeff and Mike are nice hosts. They carried my very heavy suitcase up many stairs!!!

    Tina2016-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff was a great host with a lovely space to stay at. The accommodations provided felt better than a lot of hotels I've ever stayed in! Although this was primarily a business trip for me, it was a comfy and nice experience for what I needed. Thanks Jeff!

Beautiful 1bedroom with balcony, classic bay windows and newly remodeled kitchen. Only 3 blocks from all the best shops, restaurants and night life in the city on Fillmore, Union and Chestnut. Walking distance from the Marina and Presidio. Best neighborhood in the city!
  • Blair's home is beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice! It's been updated throughout, was spotless and quite comfortable. Pac Heights is a fantastic neighborhood with lots of parks and views nearby. Blair was a generous and easy host. Highly recommend.

    Ann2013-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had to add an extra night to our trip because of poor weather in NY. Blair helped us through the booking process quickly! The apartment was great, especially the location.

    Steve2015-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Blair's apartment, it was a fantastic place to stay so thank you for having us as your guests Blair. The neighbourhood is very residential and quiet, but still within easy walking distance of Union Street (great shopping!) and other areas. We would be happy to come back again for another visit one day.

    John2014-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb rental and it was a fantastic experience. Blair was very easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly and accurately. The property was exactly as described - very stylish, clean and in a great neighborhood. The pictures you see online are what you get. I strongly recommend Blair and this property if you are staying in San Francisco.

    John2014-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment, convenient location, lovely neighborhood with parks and good restaurants. There were even two tennis courts two blocks away that we could use for free! Blair was super friendly and very prompt with her replies. Only downside was that the apartment seemed like it had not been properly cleaned in a while (surfaces and textiles dusty, bed didn't feel 100% clean). All in all our experience was however positive.

    Hannu2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Blair was a wonderful hostess! The condo is gorgeous, and well equipped. The location is great for everything you'd want to see/do in the city. Plenty of amazing restaurants and public transit nearby. Only a short 10 min walk or so to beautiful walking paths along the bay. Coming back to the condo after a day of exploring was just what my wife and I needed to relax and recover from all the hilly walking one must do in SF. I can't believe how much cheaper it is than the hotels nearby, and how much richer our experience was for staying off the touristy beaten path. If/when I find myself in the city again I will definitely be checking on the availability of this house again, for sure!

    Joshua2014-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Blair was a wonderful hostess ! The appartment is awesome ! Quiet, very comfortable and well decorated, just like the pictures.

    Anaelle2014-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Blair's place was a great experience. The house is beautiful and very well-appointed; a tranquil retreat in one of the nicest spots in SF. Blair was super cool and made sure we were comfortable, and she has an impeccable sense of style. Everything went smoothly with the communication and check-in. A total gem. Definitely recommended.

  • Really beautifully decorated place located perfectly within one of the most stylish neighborhoods in San Francisco. Host Rob was friendly, charming and full of awesome tips and suggestions that really enhanced our stay.

    Naveen2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rob is an awesome host!

    Jul2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rob was a lovely host and has a beautiful home in a great location! Me and my friend loved staying at his home which is much bigger than in the pictures. Our room was spacious and clean and we loved the four poster bed. Rob was very kind and accommodating, he even offered to carry our heavy bags up the stairs for us. The bathroom was big and clean and a bathroom roster allowed for each guest to have optimal time in the bathroom. Rob also offers an array of tea and coffee and is very generous with the facilities. We loved the location as well, with many bars, cafes and restaurants only a few steps away. We hope to stay again if we are ever in San Fran!

    Aimee2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rob's home is exactly as the pictures showed and located in good area with so many restaurant and closed to downtown and good hospitality

    TINGTING( Beyonce)2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed with Rob during our trip up Hwy1. We had an incredible time. Lovely neighborhood, full of great food. The space was very clean as Rob was very hospitable. There was 2 other guest during our stay but space or privacy was never an issue. Highly recommended

    Jeremy2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rob is a very welcoming host, and his home is a very beautiful, quiet and comfortable apartment in the Mission. It is within very easy distance of surrounding areas such as Noe Valley and the Castro, which are both a short walk away. Downtown is also minutes away by BART and bus and from here you can walk to North Beach, Chinatown and the Embarcadero. Rob's apartment is close to the bus and BART hub on Mission and 24th St., so it's easy to reach the city's major sights by either mode of transport. This meant that we could also easily use public transport to go to places like Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury, the Golden Gate Bridge and Crissy Field. Rob's apartment is located close to some brilliant restaurants and coffee houses, fine bars and bookshops, as well as convenience stores and pharmacies and. Because of the location, we had a great time, walking from district to district, taking in everything that these areas had to offer. If we felt a little tired at the end of the day after all the walking, we could get the bus and BART connections home (these are very frequent and very easy to use). I have been to San Francisco many times and Rob's apartment is by far the most comfortable and beautiful accommodation that I have stayed in - its fusion of Asian and Victorian style is an experience and a work of art in itself, and the view from the living room (where we had our morning coffee) along 29th Street toward Sutro Tower is spectacular. Rob is a great host, who kindly helped us with all of our questions before and during our trip, and we would most definitely stay here again.

  • Rob's place is wonderful and he is a really nice host. The apartment is really beautiful and well-located. There is a shared bathroom but Rob has set up an organized system for using it, so it's still convenient. I had a really pleasant stay and would recommend it!

  • Rob was prompt and eager to greet us when we arrived. The home was nice. Very beautiful Chinese antiques. The comforter and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom towels were very nice. I think the brand is called Threshold, but I'll definitely be getting some lol. The parking however was not that great, but that's the whole city. Unless you get a hotel with a parking lot expect to spend a long time looking for parking in San Francisco. Overall Rob was great. Next to some bars and a really good chicken place called Good Fricken Chicken right ahead on 29th street. If you need groceries Safeway is a minute away as well as pizza hut if you need a quick lunch. Thanks Rob.

This beautiful two bedroom/one bath apartment is located in the Castro/Duboce Triangle and in walking distance to Upper and Lower Haight, NOPA, and the Mission. Lot's of transportation, corner stores, grocery stores, and fantastic restaurants are in walking distance. If you come with car, street parking is quite easy here but it is restricted. However, there is paid parking around the corner at the hospital garage and there is also a street nearby where you can park your car for a week.
What I love most about the apartment is how truly bright it is. Big windows allow for lot's of natural lighting. The space is quite big (for San Francisco standards) with a nice large kitchen for cooking and socializing. The guest room is facing the back which is quiet and shielded from street noise.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with cute little streets, beautiful houses and lot's of parks. And if you are in the mood for entertainment you only need to walk a few block to find great places to eat and drink and people watch.
  • Great location, comfortable, clean, gorgeous accommodation. Highly recommended. Lovely host as well :-)

  • Anka was very welcoming and friendly! She was very helpful prior to arrival and gave me detailed instructions on how to access the apartment because she wasn't going to be in. The room was exactly what it was in the pictures and it was very spacious! My boyfriend and I had a considerable amount of luggage and we had sufficient space for our things. Anka also left a binder with instructions and recommendations of surrounding eateries, which was very helpful! The room and the bathroom itself was very clean. Location-wise, Anka's apartment was very convenient as it was situated in a nice neighbourhood with lots of places to eat and a 10 min drive away from union square. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay there again if i went back to sf!

  • Our stay with Anka was perfect! Her apartment is really easy to find, walking distance to the BART and MUNI. Very close to a great park to go running (buena vista park). There are many markets around, restaurants and bars around. Anka is such a great owner! she helped us to find a good restaurant that was still open when we arrived at 10pm. She suggested us a Mexican place, 6 minutes walk from her place. Food was so good. The catch on market street was delicious too. She recommended us to go there for sea food. She prepared a book with all the information you need to visit around, she suggests bars, restaurants et she showed with (Hidden by Airbnb) map how to get there! Her place is very clean, that smells good and it is located is a very safe place. It is calm around, we dont understand the neighbour. Anka is really friendly. We appreciated her personnality. We talked with her every day and she offered us to us all her kitchen furniture to cook our food and also to use her washing machine if we needed to. We definitely recommend to stay with Anka!

  • Anna's apartment is well lit and located in my favorite neighborhood in San Francisco near Duboce Park. Anka was an excellent, friendly host. I highly recommend staying with Anka.

  • This is a great place to stay in San Fransisco. Anka was a welcoming host and everything was as described. The room was clean comfortable and had lots of room. We enjoyed getting to know a little about Anka and found her to be interesting and friendly. The apartment is on a hill(as you would expect in San Fransisco) but at the bottom the Tram runs into Downtown for $2.25 round trip. Parking is a pain in the whole of the town, but Anka told us to park on Buena Vista park where the was little restriction and our car was there safe for three days.

    Andy2015-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Anka was a wonderful host. The bnb was in a great neighborhood, central to a lot of hip areas in the city. The space was exceptionally clean and well decorated, and her dog Milo was an added bonus to our stay;). Would definitely stay here again!

    Janis2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Anka made us feel incredibly welcome at her apartment. Even though she wasn't home when we arrived, she had messaged me a week before with instruction on how to get into the apartment. Check out was equally seamless. Her apartment and the room we stayed in was true to photos, if not better! Anka's place is bright, cozy, and super clean. Her dog is very well behaved, quiet, and friendly. The location is also fantastic - central and almost everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. I highly recommend staying with Anka, and if we came to SF again we would definitely stay there again. Thanks again Anka! :)

Welcome to San Francisco's Mission District, the sunniest neighborhood in town. Enjoy world-class dining, shopping, and nightlife on Valencia, or a Tartine picnic in Dolores Park. It's all just steps from our 100 year old home. We've been Hosts since 2009, the year Airbnb began, so we can suggest restaurants, share insider sight-seeing ideas, and will hopefully help you have a great visit. We love our home, our hometown, and our neighborhood, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Your sunny room has a queen size bed, and looks out over lush gardens. It includes all the comforts of home... Sofa, dresser, closet space, a rocking chair. Your private (though not "en-suite") bathroom has a "like rain" shower head, over a clawfoot tub. We have a twin mattress available for $60/night, to use for a 3rd Guest or for separate sleeping. (It can go on the floor in the same room, or in our dining room if you'd like a little more space.)
Located between Valencia Street and Dolores Park, we are in a great location for exploring the Mission, as well as the rest of San Francisco. It's an easy walk to the Castro, Haight Street, Hayes Valley, and Noe Valley. And we're close to BART and Muni, so it's easy to visit the Ferry Building, Union Square, Downtown... Everywhere! Then again, you might not want to leave the neighborhood at all... Here's a very incomplete list of spots within 4 blocks of our home: Foodie Heaven: Tartine, Delfina, Bi Rite Market, Mission Chinese Food, Locanda, Foreign Cinema, BiRite Creamery, the list goes on - and seems to grow daily! Shopping: 826 Valencia (Dave Eggers' Pirate Supply Store!), Paxton Gate, Curiosities for Kids, Beta Brand, Mission Bicycle, Self Edge, Weston Wear, Shoe Biz... Dolores Park, the Chapel (for live music), Clarion Alley (home to the CAMP Mural project), the Women's Building (maybe the most famous of the famous Mission Murals), Mission Pool (seasonal outdoor swimming, walk there in your towel, it's 3 doors down!)...
  • I really enjoyed the ten-day stay at Ivan&Wendy's listing. Their place is spacious and tastefully decorated. There is enough storage space in bedroom. Bed is very comfortable!

  • This place is amazing. Thank you Ivan!

    Vincent2010-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for just one night, as I had a late dinner in the city and early business meeting. Ivan and Wendy were fantastic hosts. I arrived a bit on the late side and Ivan couldn't have been more accommodating. The house is a beautifully restored turn of the century SF home. Think claw foot tub, high ceilings, victorian tile, wood floors throughout. The hosts rooms are downstairs, so you have easy access to your own bathroom on the 1st floor. The home is immaculate. A fresh pot of coffee awaited me before I headed off for my meeting. Absolutely perfect place to stay.

    Charlotte And Doug2012-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Ivan and Wendy’s place is beautiful, super clean, and very cozy. It’s perfectly situated in the heart of mission near all the restaurants, cafes, and bike shops. We interacted with Ivan prior the trip with questions about places to visit in the Bay Area and he responded immediately with long and detailed emails which showed how much he truly cared about making sure his guests enjoyed their stay at his home and in the area. We had a great experience at Ivan and Wendy’s place and we’re sure we would have even a more memorable and beautiful experience if we had had the chance to meet them in person.

    Disa2014-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ivan and Wendy were WONDERFUL! (And so was Milo.) I am an SF local and had a very unfortunate turn of events with very loud, very disruptive construction on my house during my busiest weeks of the year. Wendy and Ivan were so accommodating of my bizarre schedule and strange comings-and-goings. Their house is warm and comfortable, with a fantastic bed, cozy comforter, and a beautiful kitchen (which I never had a chance to use). The bathroom was modern and the shower was luxurious. I had a fabulous experience and would recommend their home to anyone.

    Jace2010-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ivan and Wendy were wonderful hosts - very communicative before I arrived and so easy to talk to and get along with. They went out of their way to be accommodating (thanks!). Their place is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect location (and the bathtub is to die for). I'd recommend staying here any time and hope to again!

    Heather2012-01-17T00:00:00Z

  • I was passing through town very briefly and Aziz's place was just what I needed. He himself is kind and accommodating, the place was spotless and the location was convenient for me. There's a Panera and a Safeway a block away for immediate needs and tons of other stores and restaurants nearby that are easy to get to. Big screen tv with Netflix in the living room, personal temperature controls in the guest area, private bath, and a secure building with a concierge topped ev thing off excellently

    Cerise2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Aziz was great! He was easy to communicate with and was very flexible with checking in and out. The building has great amenities like a gym. The place was spotless. Definitely recommend staying here!

  • I absolutely loved the view of the city during the day and at night. It was wonderful to have natural light come through the window, esp. because the sunrises on the opposite side of the apartment. Aziz was very accomodating (he had extra blankets, towels, and body wash available for us to use) and very hospitable (he left fruut and other health snacks in the counter. He also was willing to let us use his cookware and eating utensils ). The place was also spotless. I also reeeeally like that Aziz provided quick responses to questions via text.

Great location!! Walking distance to all the top attractions of San Francisco, in the safe & prestigious Nob Hill neighborhood, and one block to Cable Car. Newly remodeled with modern design but it is inside a beautiful Victorian apartment building on the first floor, no stairs. Hardwood floor, small modern kitchen, marble tiled shower, large closet space. This cozy studio is very bright with lots of windows. There is a laundry room across the unit with commercial grade washer and dryer.
The studio is small and compact perfect for one to two people. Brand new construction with modern design. Although it is a small space, it fully contains its own sitting & dining area. The bedding is a full size wall bed with comfy mattress, functional kitchen, full size bathroom, and large closet space. It is very bright with large windows, quiet at night, supper clean. It is ideal for travelers who are visiting San Francisco and are looking for great value in down town area near everything and accessible by short walking.
As a trending neighborhood, our vibrant community embraces the old and the new. The streets are dotted with upscale boutiques, top rated restaurants, corner bars & swanky lounges, historic theaters and hip nightclubs, as well as ethnic eateries and coffee shops. Great around the corner local market with great deli offering as well as top grocery brands such as Trader Joe’s and whole food.
  • This place is right in the heart of Nob Hill with easy walking access to a number of awesome cafe’s, restaurants and bars. Fred was very helpful with the booking process, accomodating an early check in and most notably giving great tips on local hot spots. The room is definitely small however a perfect place for those intending to be out and about for the majority of their time, but come home to a well located and safe place.

  • Calm, peaceful and perfectly clean : Claudia' s place had all we needed. She was helpful and very welcoming. We highly recommend this place!

    Vera2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been more perfect. I was lucky enough to be Claudia's first Airbnb as well, and she absolutely nailed it. First off, her place is adorable. She did an awesome job on the remodel and the decor so it's incredibly cozy and welcoming. I instantly felt at home. Secondly, she's clearly creative and detail-oriented so the preparation she put into our stay was very apparent. She had a personalized note for me with the Wifi data, television instructions, nearby restaurant recommendations, etc. She had also put together gift baskets with toiletries and snacks. In addition, her communication was great. We stayed in touch my entire stay and whenever I had a question or needed anything at all, she responded instantly. I genuinely loved everything about this experience and fully intend on staying here for my future visits!

    Brittany2017-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • I can say with confidence, Claudia's in-law suite is a hidden gem and we are so glad we found it. We were wowed with all the attention to detail and cleanliness. The welcome basket with essentials and the snacks were a fantastic touch. The bedroom. The bed was super comfy and warm. There were lots of pillows and blankets if needed, but we were nice and toasty the entire night. Barn doors looked awesome. The living room is really cute and welcoming. It makes you feel at home. Loved the electric fire place. It kept the suite super warm. Chromecast was a great touch-- so was the candle and throws. The bathroom. High-end and nicely stocked with essentials and more. The kitchen. Loved the look, especially the shelves. Fridge was full of waters, there was also creamer for your coffee. There is a Keurig with plenty of pods and different roasts. There's also a toaster oven, dinnerware and pots. All you need is there. Parking was a challenge, but we always found parking and didn't mind the walk, we actually enjoyed the walk :) Hardly any noise at night. Quiet neighborhood. Overall, we loved our stay. Claudia was super nice and a fantastic host. The only time we saw her was when she gave us the keys. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Claudia was a great host, always responding quickly to us and giving us plenty of privacy. The air bnb was new, clean, cozy, and well designed. It was so homey it was hard to leave. I would defiantly stay here again!

  • Claudia's home is exactly as advertised - and then some. It is a very clean, modern living space about 15-20 minutes outside of the city center. You can easily get downtown by using BART or paying around $20 for an Uber ride. Claudia made my birthday trip extra special by giving me a surprise birthday treat and wine upon our arrival. She also provided a very thoughtful welcome basket with extra amenities and suggestions for local restaurants and activities, and was very responsive if we had any questions. Snacks, coffee, and water were also fully stocked and waiting for us. Claudia went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible - even providing us rides into the city and to the airport. I highly recommend staying with her!

  • I spent two wonderful nights in Jody's room. After a stressful week, I enjoyed the calm and peaceful neighborhood a lot. The room was absolutely clean, cosy and very thoughtfully equipped. There was everything you would possibly need when visiting the city. Jody and her family were very nice and welcoming. Mission district with its lively and unique atmosphere is within walking distance. I can recommend Cafe St. Jorge in Mission St. which is just around the corner. Also getting to the airport is quite easy since the BART is not far away. I would be happy to come back to Jody's place again.

  • This place is made with love! It was soooo comfortable and we really enjoyed it! There are so many details that we greatly appreciated! It is like somebody is really thinking and doing the wright things for people that are traveling! I recommend it a 100%!!! Thanks Jody!:)

  • Jody provided my friend and I with a wonderful place to stay in SF. The accommodations themselves were very homey and comfortable and you can tell she puts a lot of thought into trying to make it a nice place to be. The location is in a nice, quiet part of town that you may not ordinarily get to see if you stay more in the city center. It's about a 10 minute walk from nice cafes and restaurants and close to public transit. We had a very nice time staying there and I'd highly recommend it to other travelers!

    Lauren2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Just as described, this room was very private, clean and comfortable. A perfect neighborhood for exploring Noe Valley, the Mission District and more. Easy to grab nearby public transportation. Everything you could need for either a short or longer stay.

    Tina2014-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great private space in a cute friendly neighborhood, Jody even offered to help pick me up with my suitcases from BART! I was able to go to and from the room daily with a short walk to the BART as well as a very accessible little grocery store that Jody directed me to so I could load up the fridge. I felt very safe walking even at night. Both the room and the neighborhood was very well kept and clean. Jody took time and care in preparing the room for the traveler. There was one small glitch with the toilet and Jody was VERY attentive responding immediately even though it was the middle of the night as well as handling it, fixing the issue, and going above and beyond with kindness to apologize! Life happens and there was no fault to her but she handled it with such thought and care making my stay. I will definitely be back!!

    Jennifer2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! The room was very nice and very well equiped...but if the bed was a bit bigger, it would definitevely be a better stay. Thank you Jody :)

    wajdi2015-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Jody's place. The room was very comfortable and it was great to have my own bathroom and front door. The local neighbourhood was really pretty and the views of the city from their street were stunning - especially at sunset. I didn't actually get to meet Jody but in all her communications she was very kind and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

    Gina2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jody was helpful and in touch helping with transportation ideas before I even arrived in San Fran. During my stay she was very available, but I also felt like my space was very separate and private. If I needed her she was in touch. If I was good, she left me to have the space in complete privacy,

Located in the heart of the Mission District, consider this your home away from home. Peaceful and comfortable, yet close enough to pretty much everything San Francisco is known & loved for, as well as some lesser known (equally loved by those who do) sights.
You'll have a modern, cozy, private bedroom with a full-sized bed within this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. (You'll be sharing the main areas of the house with Brian/Angela and two other guests, plus our two small rescue dogs) Your bedroom is equipped with a large, flat screen television set up with Chromecast. Jacques and Bijoux are sweet and playful pups who live here. If you want to play or cuddle with them, they'll love it. (If not, don't worry, they do not have access to the bedrooms).
The Mission as a whole is a melting pot of culture, art, amazing food, and active night life.
  • This was among the best AirBnBs I have ever stayed at. Angela and Brian are fantastic hosts and the place is just amazing. The description of the place is very accurate and the two dogs are adorable as well. I also enjoyed the neighbourhood, it’s much nicer there than downtown.

    Holger2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Angela were friendly and welcoming. The space was comfortable and it was great having coffee and cereal right there ready to use in the morning!

    Jennifer2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • I have to say that Brian & Angela are the best host I have ever encountered. From my initial contact to the end of my stay they always responded quickly with any questions. The directions to the home, the house rules are clearly spelled out! The home is absolutely beautiful, super clean, and they make you feel like family from the start. I think I'm now officially their Aunt Susan!!!! Their home is located by so much, some of the best food, and ice cream that I have ever tasted. Since I was traveling alone I was a bit nervous about walking around, although San Francisco has a big homeless population I have to say that I never felt uneasy about walking around the neighborhood. The best part about staying here is that they have other airbnb guest staying at the home. Its so nice to meet people from different parts of the world. I stayed for 6 nights and met 5 other guest. I couldn't write a review and not mention the dogs. First off, I have never met a dog I didn't like, but these two stole my heart. Both are so well behaved and such loves, I will miss them so much. I cannot even express the gratitude I have to Brian & Angela for making my stay such a memorable experience. I will definitely be back! Susan

  • I couldn’t have possibly asked for a better pair of hosts than Brian and Angela. Every step of the way they were fantastic; it was such a pleasure living with them. They consistently went way above-and-beyond to make me feel at home. While I stayed with them I was applying for a new job while also working in the hospital full time, and they were a huge source of support both logistical (giving excellent advice on interview attire) and emotional (motivational notes before my interviews) throughout a tough month. I ended up getting the job I was aiming for, and Brian and Angela are one big reason why that was possible. They are genuinely great people, with a beautiful home, and two awesome dogs that I miss – what more can you ask for?

    Nicholas2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Angela are wonderful hosts! They are welcoming, helpful, and so friendly. Stayed for a month and felt like I could establish my personal routine but also had cool roommates to relax with after a long day. They stay on top of keeping the apartment clean and well stocked - which is so appreciated. If you're a dog fan, their pups are sweethearts and easily won over :). Would totally recommend to a friend.

    Laurel2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Angela are the perfect hosts, I would give them more than five starts if I could! Their home is beautiful, and in a very cool location in the Mission district. The beds are super comfy, there is a delicious breakfast available and all of the products and amenities are very high quality. The dogs are the cutest - I wish I could have taken them with me! They really went above and beyond to make me feel at home, becoming more like instant friends. The place also seems to attract some really interesting people, so that was an added bonus. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else next time I'm in San Fran. Sophie

    Sophie2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Angela were wonderful hosts! They are attentive to your needs and very helpful and knowledgeable about things to do in San Francisco and surrounding areas. They provided welcoming treats upon arrival with a personal note. And the dogs, Jacques and Bijoux were loves, filling the void of being away from my pets. I look forward to booking again!

    Lois2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Angela showed me the new standard of what an excellent AirBnb experience should be like in San Francisco. At first I was simply looking for a clean & well-organized space to stay in for NYE weekend. This stay not only made me think more of both hosts & the penthouse, but it was so good in that I was treated like a special guest or even like a family member throughout the entirety of my stay. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at their place in the future, as I know I certainly will consider future stays here! Also, Jacques & Bijoux were simply adorbs. Can't get any better than playing w/ their doggos :)

  • Michelle was a pleasant and gracious host. I liked the area, good value, and a good place to explore San Francisco from. She had parking which was an extra bonus. The house is located on a steep San Francisco hill, very authentic!

  • a really lovely authentic feel, peaceful and quiet surroundings , super cozy and comfortable,Michelle, her son and two cats where awesome and on my next trip to sf ill be sure to check if this place is available first. loved it 100%

  • I had the most amazing time at Michelle's place. Her cozy, cute, very unique apartment made my first day in SF feel like just another day in a loving home. Michelle's kids are warm, helpful and gracious and her home is filled with unique artifacts, quotes and posters that one can spend days looking at. It's located in a nice neighborhood and close to the John McLaren park which offers great hiking options. Michelle has some excellent recommendations on food and hike worth checking out. It is a little farther from the city for business travellers but if you are visiting SF for leisure, do stay at Michell's place for few days before moving closer to downtown!

    Nayana2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this listing was convenient and pleasant! Everything was exactly as described and was everything we desired. Michelle was easy to communicate with so that everything from parking to obtaining the keys was smooth. We appreciated the location and the comfort and our decision to stay here definitely enhanced our San Francisco visit. Would recommend for it's easy access into the city and two cute cats. Thank you!

  • Michelle's place is a great place to be when you want to discover San Francisco, have a high vantage point and don't wanna pay parking fees. Michelle is a nice and exceptionally well communicating host.

    Frank-Jan2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was a great host even though my stay was short. She was hosting a gathering at the time I checked in, but she made sure I had plenty of privacy and space! Her home is clean and uniquely decorated (I really enjoyed looking at all of the art work all around the house). I sadly didn't get to meet her two cats, but I guess that means they keep to themselves a lot. I'm really glad I stayed with Michelle!

(And 2 of the 3 Cable Car lines) Steps away from lots of great restaurants, bars, nightlife and shops of all kinds. 96 Walk Score and 95 Transit Score You can walk to: Polk Street, The Fillmore, Chinatown, Japantown, Cable Car Museum, Lombard Street (including the crooked part), Union Street, Chestnut Street, Downtown. Ok, we usually drive to Chestnut Street, but that's because we actually have a garage! In San Francisco! (Maybe you have to live here to know that most people don't have a garage in SF.) Even better, our garage has enough space for you to park too. Also close by: Coit Tower, Union Square, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Exploratorium, Civic Center, Theatre District, Financial District, Ferry Building, The Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Marina Green. (So much to see!) We are also right near several bus lines, if you don't drive. (And the Cable Cars. Don't forget the Cable Cars.)

Polk street is one block away, and is filled with shops, restaurants, and bars (mainly for locals). There is a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods not far away. Safeway is a short drive. There is a CVS pharmacy literally next door. Because we are centrally located, if you leave the windows open you will hear traffic noise.
  • After seeing pictures on the site my expectations of Matthew's place were high and what I experienced surpassed those expectations! Big, clean and well laid out apartment with super safe and easy access via Matthew's private garage and elevator. He's made the experience even easier and more fun by installing a few smart devices including lights when you come and go and an August door lock so you don't need to worry about a key exchange. Matthew was an ideal host. Attentive and always reachable when I had questions but never bothersome. He offered to do so much (help with recommendations, etc) but I was too busy with work to take advantage! I will definitely stay here again - every time I visit SF if it's available. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Eric2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a great location Parking is great (and in a garage). Just what I was looking for.

    Jeff2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was truly a light-filled stay, from the brightness of the sun over the horizon to the moon glowing at night, to the kindness of Matthew and his family. Matthew responded to messages within a couple minutes, and even though I arrived so late he came down to let me in when I said my phone was having troubles opening the garage. A nice cool room and maps and brochures were waiting for me when I went upstairs, and any time I had a question Matthew offered a solution. He also kept me up to date on all the fun things going on in the area. I felt more welcomed than I do at my own home sometimes! He was a magnificent host and I would definitely stay at this Airbnb again if I get the chance to head to San Francisco again =)

    Lindsay2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Matt has been the best host I've found on Airbnb. He is incredibly attentive to every detail and gets out of his way to ensure his guests are as comfortable as possible. The apartment itself is really comfy and has all the techy devices you can imagine. We really enjoyed our stay at Matt's place and would recommend it in a heartbeat!

    Daniel2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew and Emily were exemplary hosts. We arrived early into the city and really appreciated being able to have access to the apartment so that we could begin our vacation. We also appreciated that they were available for questions and recommendations throughout our stay The apartment was everything that was described and more. Modern, bright and very clean, it was a great location from which to explore all areas of the city. Many of the sites are within walking distance or a short Uber ride from the apartment. We would highly recommend this property and will be back again next time we are in San Francisco.

    Amy2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for our trip (multiple friends are located in Russian Bill). Very clean, nice bathroom, and the private parking garage was a huge plus. Highly recommend.

    Harrison2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Of all the Airbnb stay we had, Matthew and Emily's hospitality ranks very high. Very convenient location with a garage parking!

    Yan2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location close to most things in SF. Only issue is noise of a big city at night which comes with the downtown convenience. Nothing you can really do about it but will need to be considered by people that are light sleepers. The host was great and responded quickly to any questions.

This unit is located on the 2nd floor of a 6 story building. Presenting genuine Francisco old style and charm, this building was built in 1915. The place is 650 sqf 2 BD, 1B apt located in the ❤️ of San Francisco. Conveniently located close to everything needed for a great vacation or business trip: shops and restaurants, popular tourist attractions, Financial District, Moscone Center and 14 min. walking distance to famous Union Square. The neighborhood has an European vibe to it!
You are paying for the LOCATION. Our apartment is well maintained but since it is an old building and a rental you are limited to what you can do. The Room: • Freshly painted. • Queen size bed with brand new mattress. • Fresh towels and linens as well as free toiletry, shampoo and soap. • Apple TV connected to cable ( CNN, Travel Channel etc.). • Sectional sleeper sofa (queen size). • Modern blinds. • Large dresser with 6 drawers • Modern and brand new area rug • Electric fireplace/heater. ***The room can accommodate up to 4 people. There is an extra charge for more than 2 guests. KITCHEN *** limited kitchen access, EXCEPT if you need to do laundry or use the refrigerator. Full access for stays longer than 7 days. • Brand new kitchen furniture set. area. • Granite countertops. • Water filter. • Brand new 2 in 1 LG washer/dryer machine. • Breakfast nook. • No stove, it takes too much space! I use Instant Pot or a counter plug in burner and a toaster oven for baking- it works great! • Appliances available for use: Vitamix. Humero slow juicer Nespresso coffee machine ( provide own pods). Espresso and cappuccino maker. Salad maker and food chopper. BATHROOM • Freshly painted. • Stocked with toiletry and clean fresh towels.
    • Plenty of bus lines, stores, dining, and many famous San Francisco destinations. • Financial District, and San Francisco's famous Union Square ( 15 min. walk). • Close to trendy Polk Street nightlife, retail and restaurants. Go have a delicious San Franciscan gourmet dinner after a great day in the city! Polk street has several iconic spots for doughnuts ( Bob's Donuts, open 24/7) as well as seafood (Swan Oyster Depot). Also, Muy Muy (5-7 min. walk) is amazing for breakfast! If you are planning to go during the weekend make sure you go early since there is always a line, however it moves fast... • 2 blocks from Trader Joe's (10 min. walk) and 1 block from Walgreens (3-5 min. walk). • Holmes Bakery ( 2 min. walk), seriously you have to try that, it is the hottest spot in town, offers freshly baked pastry. Go there early (they open at 7:00 am) they sell out very fast and the lines can be pretty long, mainly on Fridays and the weekends. • For dinner and drinks I recommend Millers Rest ( 2 min. walk) , The Saratoga (5-6 min. walk) and the Rusted Mule (8-10 min. walk) there are plenty more lounges, bars, restaurants on Polk street if you are looking for a spot within walking distance.

  • It was a nice place for a short stay in San Fran. All amenities included. Outside noise was inevitable due to being in the city.

    Gabriela2018-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ana's place was wonderful. Good sized room, very comfy bed, helpful and friendly hosts. Their dog and cats minded their own business and didn't interfere at all with anything. Fresh towels made the shower a godsend. Street and alley were a bit noisy, but that's just the character of the neighborhood. Neither my wife or I ever felt unsafe in the neighborhood. You're truly in the heart of SF, so enjoy it for all it is.

  • I had a brief but extremely pleasant stay at this lovely apartment. I was graciously accommodated on very short notice and arrived very late in the evening after a long flight. Check-in was exactly as described and couldn't have been easier. Despite the late hour, I was greeted warmly and shown all the helpful touches around the room that would make my stay comfortable. My only regret is that my quick trip did not allow for me to stay here longer!

There is wireless internet in the Marina Facilities, but it does not reach the boat. The marina facilities is a secure quite area with tables and chairs.
  • Ideal location for a relaxing and unique stay. Easy to find and pleasant hosts.

  • You couldn't ask for a better location. A sailboat stay isn't for everyone. It is a little like camping and if you go into it knowing this you will enjoy it much more. We had a fabulous stay and the weather couldn't have been beat for December. Nights were chilly but with the warm blankets and space heaters we were warm enough. Loved being able to spend time on the boat relaxing and watching the sealions.

  • Our experience at Pier 39 with Edward was as perfect as could be. Edward is an excellent communicator, and on the occasions where we needed to contact him, he either answered the call or returned the call/text within minutes. He went to great lengths to ensure our comfort on the boat by providing extra blankets and pillows. The boat was "ship shape" upon arrival and a pleasure to spend time on. Any questions we had were answered and recommendations given. For example, we decided to rent a car, and Edward gave a great recommendation for a nearby parking garage. The experience was better than great. It was excellent!

    Jennifer2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying on the boat was a great way to see the city. You can't beat the location and Edward was a very good host.

    Nick2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 5 nights and loved it, you hear the animals, feel the waves and the location is awesome. In the middle of everything, but quiet and amazing!

    Christine2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fun and welcoming! Great location

    Liz2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time on Edward's boat. We stayed for five nights at the end of March and found the night temperature on the boat to be great (there are space heaters if you are feeling chilly, although we didn't need to use them). The location doesn't get any better than this. It is steps away from a lot of activities and restaurants, yet secluded enough to feel private and enjoy some quiet. The bathrooms and showers at the marina office are very clean and well taken care of. I recommend bringing flip flops for the showers.

    Bryan2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Edward's boat is amazing! My husband and I stayed there for two nights on a quick trip to San Francisco. The location is amazing, it is quiet despite being right next to Pier 39, and come on, we were on a boat! The boat is comfortable and unique and Edward provides all the necessary and some extra amenities. The marina showers and bathrooms are surprisingly clean! Would definitely stay there again anytime we are in SF. Thanks Edward for a fun and unique experience!

Enjoy a cozy and comfortable stay during your trip to beautiful San Francisco in Marie's Diamond Heights home. This room sleeps 2 and shares a full bathroom with any other guests that may have booked the second room at the same time. Free parking is available on the street out front, and complimentary sit-down breakfast with coffee is served!
Your room is one of two smoke-free & pet-free bedrooms that I offer guests. It is right next to a full bathroom (inquire if you prefer not to share it with any guests; I can help you select dates when the other room is unbooked) and on the opposite end of where Marie's bedroom and office are on the second floor of this single-family home in quiet and family-friendly Diamond Heights, a super-central neighborhood at the top of the hill above the Castro and Noe Valley districts (please view a map before booking). The majority of people living here have been in their homes for a long time. Most homes were built in the 1960s. The house is on a quiet, dead-end street but there is everything you'd ever need within few minutes drive in the nearby bustling, vibrant neighborhoods young tourists flock to! Marie has been a resident of San Francisco for 55 years and raised her two daughters in this home. It is an Eichler design from the early 1960's--popular for it's typical features such as skylights, exposed ceiling beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding glass doors, and patios. A front patio is where potted plants bathe in fog on summer mornings. The backyard has huge pine trees that go up a hill. The home is not fancy or 'trendy modern', and it has radiant heat (which heats through the flooring, not via vents!) but it's like staying with a relative and Marie thoroughly enjoys meeting her guests and serving them yummy breakfasts (if they so choose) Added bonus: plentiful FREE street parking! What's within walking distance: Amethyst Way is a dead-end street. No bus lines run here. However, just few minutes walk up around the corner (the street that runs behind the house at the top of the backyard hill) is where above-ground MUNI bus lines #48, #52, #37, and #44 run. Any of these lines will connect with either MUNI underground train stations or BART for quick travel (10-15 mins) downtown, to the airport, or across the Bay. Of course, Uber and Lyft are popular methods of transportation these days. If you have a bicycle, you may safely keep it in either the patio or garage. You can walk to... * Glen Park Canyon--a forested canyon with a creek and meandering trails * Diamond Heights Shopping Village--Safeway, Walgreens, Bank of America, Post Office, yummy Chinese Food Take-Out, etc. * Christopher Playground--a large field and play equipment plus a Glen Canyon access trail head * Tower shopping area with Molly Stones, Round Table pizza, ect A few minutes drive: * Tourist-popular Twin Peaks with its famous city views (5 minutes) * Mount Davidson, which has an easy hiking trail that leads up to the second best (if not THE best) view of the city. This is an off-the-beaten path secret GEM! * West Portal (lots of shops & restaurants) * Noe valley (trendy shopping and restaurants) * Castro/Upper Market * Dolores Park/ outer Mission district * Glen Park (BART station & restaurants)
Diamond Heights is on the top of some hills overlooking Mission/NoeValley/Upper Market. When looking at a city map, you'll find me right near the very center. By center, I don't mean right in the middle of all the action in downtown or down by the water. Guests have left feedback before claiming that I'm not in the center of the city; I am, and downtown is not. I am about equal distance to all corners of the city! I am on a hill above the Mission, Glen Park, and Noe Valley. Around the corner of the major street nearest my home, is a beautiful view of the City and Bay facing east! What's within walking distance: Amethyst Way is a dead-end street. No bus lines run here. A few minutes walk up around the corner (the street that runs behind the house at the top of the backyard hill) is where above-ground MUNI bus lines #48, #52, #37, and #44 run. • It was a perfect stay at San Fran, Marie-Jeanne is a perfect hôte, she takes care all the time of the people who stays in her house, delicious home-made breakfast, helps for the trip...just do not hesitate! The house is also not far from downtown, we reached it by a pleasant walk in the crazy SF streets.

    Erwan2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed here during our stop in San Francisco on our way to Yosemite. We landed at SFO late at night and had a nightmarish time trying to get out of the airport, with the plane being stuck on the tarmac for an hour and the rental car employees having left work without sticking around to give keys to customers. Anyway, we ended up arriving at the house near 2 a.m., 2 hours later than we expected. Marie--Kamara's mother and who actually lives in the house (Kamara does the managing remotely)--stayed up to greet us and show us her lovely house. She was very kind and in the morning prepared us a big breakfast of croissants, eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, orange juice and coffee, which we appreciated very much after such a long day of traveling. She sat down to chat with us while we ate, too. The room itself is more beautiful than depicted in the photos and we were very comfortable. The bathroom is right next to the room and also pretty and clean. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and it was easy to find free street parking near the house. We are just sorry to leave after just one night of an excellent stay!

    Emily2017-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I found it a bit odd that even though Kamara was in charge of our reservation, her mother Marie was actually the host. We didn't have any contact information for her mother, but had only one slight problem with checking in regarding communication. Otherwise Marie was very attentive and did her best to make sure we were comfortable. She provided a wonderful breakfast each morning at the time of our choosing. Between the street parking, the breakfast, and the price this place is definitely a winner.

    Hagen2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Marie's, it was honestly one of my favorites. I felt so safe, comfortable, and welcomed. I shared my stay with 2 additional guests, a mother and daughter from Canada, and the overall stay was great. Marie made a lovely breakfast for all of us and provided everything I needed for a pleasurable stay. I would absolutely recommend staying at Marie's!

    Anastasia 2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kamara's house is located close to twin peaks, easy to find and park. Really nice place to stay. And she is super nice host with excellent cooking skills. If you drive to San Francisco, I will definitely recommend this nice place to you!

    Peggy2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Marie's place was a wonderful time. Marie made my sister and I the most spectacular breakfast both days we were there, and it was obvious that she loved doing this. We will definitely be returning to her place the next time we return to San Francisco.

    Kevin2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Marie's home was perfect for our San Francisco stay! It is in a great location. She was flexible, helpful, gracious, and made THE best breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay again. Thanks Marie!!

    Veronica2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and very nice! Ample, safe street parking which is hard to find in SF. Wifi worked great. Marie was a fantastic host who spoiled me with fresh fruit and yogurt every morning. She was available if you need her, but she isn't intrusive. The guest rooms are on another end of the house from Marie's room, so it feels very private. All in all a great airbnb experience!

  • Amy was super awesome! Space was clean and there was lots of closet space which was helpful since we were in town for a conference. Bed was very comfortable. Having the window to open at night was great. With easy uber/BART in and out, no problem getting around the city to sight see / grab dinners. Would definitely stay again!

    Joshua2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room is super clean and new/modern. The shower and bathroom are perfect and there's lots of space for hanging clothes. The bed is pull-out couch, but really comfortable. Amy is very friendly, she made me feel at home, like I had a roommate for the week. We even ordered in together and almost went to a show together (my schedule didn't permit). I highly recommend this place and the host and hope to stay there when I return to SF!

    Mara2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • As a business traveler this was an easy and comfortable place to stay. The listing is clean and there was a private shower and bathroom in my area so it felt very much like my own place. I was happy to use the gym and enjoyed the cafe on the ground floor for an easy breakfast before work. Very nice place, new, and great SOMA location!

    David2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The AVA building is a modern apartment building and a central location to stay for my convention at Moscone Center. Amy gives you your own electronic key that opens the lobby door and the apartment. The 1BR, 1 Bath suite is in the front of the apt, so you have plenty of privacy and a very large shower. It’s minimalist and clean. The sofa bed is very comfortable with some squeaking when you get in and out. I appreciate that she does not allow outside shoes in the house and has provided a shoe rack at the door. The gym on the second floor has great treadmills, ellipticals, and weights. It was a 20 minute walk to Moscone Center and Uber was quickly available. The pick up point for Uber pool is in the back of the building but I would contact the driver and direct them to pick up at the front. Wi-fi was broken during my visit but she assured me that it would be fixed within the week. Thanks Amy.

Looking forward to our next trip already!

  • Vanessa's place is wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, the house is huge, check-in was super easy and straightforward, there are skylights all over the place, and you cannot beat the location--right next to the beach! It's clearly a new house (or at least newly renovated or something like that), but it felt lived-in. We only stayed one night and I wish we had been able to stay longer. The neighborhood is quiet with a nice coffee shop and some stores within walking distance. All around, a great place to stay, would definitely recommend to others.

Newly remodeled Master bedroom in the Portola neighborhood. Cedric & Jun are the owner of this great home and would love to receive you and meet you during your visit of the Bay Area. The house is about 15 minutes away from SFO and from Downtown SF. A few express buses to downtown are also running 2 blocks away from the house. Street parking is very often available within 2 blocks. Secret phrase: Be Nice and Care!
Our Home has a modern look and is spread between 2 floors. In total, we have 3 beds and 2 baths. The master bedroom is freshly remodeled and furnished with taste. We use the garage as a small gym that you should feel free to use. However, it is fairly easy to find parking spots within a few blocks, and sometimes right in front of the house!
The Portola neighborhood is a hidden gem. Walk down San Bruno avenue for some traditional food, get to Downtown SF via bus within 20 minutes and take a walk in the amazing (and underrated) John MacLaren's Park.
  • This place does not disappoint! It is located in such a cool neighbourhood and it is really convenient to get around to all the hotspots (: My friend and I stayed 3 nights and were so grateful to have the whole bottom floor + porch to ourselves to catch up with each other and just relax. Cédric and Jun were really wonderful and so helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough!! (:

  • Everything was perfect, I would totally recommend this place to stay. Mary answered every question very fast and she left kind details in the rooms, the place is super clean and comfortable. We loved the beds, comforters, soft towels and great shower. The only thing to consider is that both rooms are next to each other, so you can easily listen everything from the other room (not a big deal if you travel with family or close friends, just to know if you travel with someone you don´t feel that comfortable). I would love to stay here again when I come back to SF!

My sunny, 3-story Victorian house is in tranquil Noe Valley, 1 mile from the heart of Mission District, with easy access by streetcar to downtown. Many restaurants in the vicinity, and weather is sunnier than much of SF! Your bedroom has a queen-sized bed and has access to a bathroom with shower and tub (shared with other guests). Free street parking available with some restrictions. In residence: a friendly woman and a part-time teen. SF Short-Term Rental Reg #STR1278
Noe Valley is a quiet, residential area with nice weather and lots of Victorian houses. Valencia Street, in the Mission District, with lots of great restaurants and more nightlife is close by.
  • I had a great experience staying at Maria's. Room is clean, comfortable and cheerful, and location mere blocks from my family. Maria and her family are friendly and helpful, although I didn't see them very frequently. I recommend, and hope to stay there again, until my family's renovations are complete. P.S., parking in the immediate neighborhood is plentiful by San Francisco standards.

  • This is a gorgeous character home - the kind you've always dreamed of living in. It was warm, spacious, and the sun shone in the living room in the afternoon - perfect for reading on the couch. Maria is welcoming and helpful. Everything was clean. We could easily walk down two blocks to Church Street to catch the tram into town. There were also nice restaurants in the area (Regent Thai - very yummy and a great price) and a cute breakfast place "Chloe's". The neighbourhood felt super safe and there were so many gorgeous homes, gardens, trees and sights to see. One slight issue was that the walls between the bedrooms carry sound, so one had to whisper to be respectful to other guests. If you can, choose the room with its own bathroom - it's at the front of the house and more private.

  • The listing was exactly as pictured and the neighborhood is great. Maria and I had some communication snafus but overall I had a good experience.

  • Maria, was so kind and accommodating. She gave us great ideas on what to do and where to go. Her house was beautiful and spacious! Can't wait to comeback sometime in the near future!

The large private studio (300 sq.ft) with beautiful garden in heart of Sunset. It fits four comfortably and Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach is right nearby. Few block from Safeway, shops and restaurants. Feel at home with two queen size beds, work desk, TV and Comcast cable, mini fridge and personal bathroom. Easy public transportation and free street parking. (For 6 guests you can book our another private bedroom together)
  • Everything was super clean and nice! Great communication and location! Yang was a great host and I would definitely stay here again.

  • Great place with amazing atmosphere! Yang was so understanding when I overslept the checkout and I can’t say enough good things about my stay there! I will definitely stay here again when I’m in San Francisco!

  • Yang is an excellent communicator, letting me know everything I need a day or two before arriving at the Airbnb. Once there I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the room. Everything seems very newly renovated and the room felt very homey. Yang provides a mini fridge stocked with waters, a coffee machine, hot water boiler, and an assortment of coffees and teas for the morning free of charge. Beds were very comfortable (2 queen beds) and there was no problem with noise overnight. The bathroom was clean, I liked the two sink setup. The location is too far to walk from downtown areas like the mission, soma, but easy if you have a car or don't mind using ride share. Plenty of street parking is available. Overall this is a great place and I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting SF!

  • The house was very clean and hip. It feels comfortable and cozy likes you’re staying at your own house.

  • The room was nicely decorated, very clean and very well organized like a suite (with a sofa and a TV a bit separated from the room per se). Yang responds very quickly. The room is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Keep in mind you are 25-30 minutes from San Francisco downtown by car, taxi or UBER. I highly recommend staying at Yang's Airbnb!!

  • It was a wonderful stay! I would give 6 stars if I could! :) Best AirBnb I’ve ever stayed at, especially given the incredible value. A wonderful and professional young girl checked us in and brought us additional towels and drinks when she saw the room was going to be full. The room is beautiful and modern and we enjoyed the patio in the back as well. I will definitely recommend your place to friends and family visiting SF and will choose to stay there in the future!

  • Great location! Very close to downtown San Fransisco, about a 10 minute drive with light traffic. Very clean and extremely comfortable beds!
