San Francisco Vacation Rentals

Just booked in San Francisco

1895 Victorian flat w/ 12 ft ceilings. (No Long Term Rentals or couples) Close to Mission, & 2.5 blocks from Castro theater. MUNI is 3 blocks away. Room is small and cosy, and great value for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US!
We live in an 1895 Victorian top flat with 12 foot ceilings on the best block in San Francisco. Our calendar is always up to date. Location Location Location~ Our home is close to the Mission, Lower Haight, and 2.5 blocks from the Castro theater. The underground is 3 blocks away, with a street car even closer. The room is small and cosy, but a great price for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US! Please fill out your profile if you are interested~and make sure to arrange a time to meet prior to your arrival, I lead a busy lifestyle, work full time, and wouldn't want to miss anyone! Check in is at 5 and we are 37 steps up from street level. Please go light on perfume and cologne - we are allergic. Restaurants are plentiful and beautiful Dolores Park is quite close. Your room has a twin day bed 75 inches long with a desk and a solid door. The room is 9.25 feet by 8 feet. Amenities include wireless and a gorgeous full kitchen. We have one cat that enjoys company almost as much as we do and a sweet rescue pooch. Our flat gets more light than any other home I've been to in my 13 years of living in this great town. For all you foodies out there BiRite Creamery, Tartine, Delfina's Pizza and Proper are within 4.5 blocks of our front door. Michelin rated Range is just a few farther. As much as we love bikes, and we do, we don't have space for storage. If you rent one please return it at the end of the day or lock up on the street at your own risk. Please ask if you would like to have a friend for a short visit.
  • My host, Brenda, made the trip a total first class experience. She was like a sister or best friend. The whole flat is spacious, homey, and very clean. If you want to be in the Castro area, this accommodation is ideal. I cannot rave enough about this trip and Airbnb experience.

  • I had another successful stay at Brenda's, last week, and I'm reluctant to even consider staying anywhere else. Never give up on a good thing, right? I also haven't been able to try all of the recommended places in her neighborhood, yet, but the ones I have tried were good. I also took advantage of the wash and fold service at the end of the block, which is super convenient. I'd highly recommend it. It was a little louder outside than the last time I stayed, but the white noise machine helped significantly.

    Marc2012-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is perfect. I spent a month in the Brenda’s home, and it was the best choice. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, full of art decorated. The room is great with a super comfy bed, I sleep very well, no noise in the street. The location is a great place to stay with plenty of great bars, parks, clubs, restaurants and good food, good night life for dance, concert, theater. It is close to many public transportation (the BART line is excellent for transport to and from the airport and city centre) and the house is also located in a safe and convenient neighborhood. Brenda e Serena are wonderful: welcoming, helpful, easygoing incredibly kind, helpful and warm. They made me feel right at home, and for me it was like being in a family. I strongly recommend staying with Brenda. I Hope to meet Brenda e Serena again next time in SF. if you want to book in SF, this is the place. Thank so much and I miss you. Ps. Ah yes…you can not fall in love with Boo and Moo, dog and cat so sweet

  • This is a beautiful, welcoming, comfortable place to stay. I always book it right away when I know I am traveling to San Francisco. Brenda is always very helpful. The condo is full of natural light and beautifully appointed. The location is truly perfect centered in restaurants, coffee shops and all kinds of conveniences. I just love it!

  • Brenda's place is gorgeous and ideally located. I had a fantastic time there and Brenda is a great host. Would definitely stay there again!

  • The neighborhood was fantastic with many international dining restaurants and markets, just a few streets up from Sanchez. Brenda was very accomodating and welcoming the day of my arrival. She was very informative and sharing of her personal recommendations of things to do in the city. Also, I was really loving the cozy room decor and livingspace area. It was a pleasure experience staying with Brenda in San Francisco!

  • Perfectly Located Castro is not only Perfectly Located Castro But >>> Perfectly Located San Francisco !!! PLC is within walking distance to great cafes and restaurants and public transportation !!! As one with an interest in art and art museums it was wonderful for me to chat with such a knowledgable individual as Brenda. As a first-time visitor to SF I was most grateful for her useful sightseeing and travel tips. Thank you again Brenda for an Idyllic Stay / I felt very much at home ... BTW: Do give my regards to Phina (The Cat) et al.

Bernal Heights is a very popular neighborhood. It's interesting, safe, convenient, beautiful, quiet. The best place to live in SF!
  • We rented this apartment for friends visiting us in SF from France, and it's even more adorable than it looks in the pictures. Our friends were thrilled with it, and frankly, I really wish I lived there. You couldn't hope for a better place.

  • Perfect stay! My parents and I stayed here for a week for Chinese New Year and it was terrific. We fell in love with the studio at first sight and discovered more sweet touches in the following week. Stylish decoration, good lighting, and basic but handy cooking supply. Would definitely go back. Laura is a very nice hostess.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Mike and Nic's place for close to a week. Though we were only able to talk to Mike and Nic briefly, they were supremely friendly and helpful. Included and in easy access was an manual for the studio including how to operate the gas fireplace, list of amenities, maps, and guides. As another reviewer stated, the photos do not do this place justice and also significant, the surrounding Bernal Heights / Cortland Ave. neighborhood. We couldn't have been more satisfied.

    Long2013-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week in Mike and Nic's apartment in Bernal (URL HIDDEN) is clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. There are restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, bakeries, laundromats etc. less than a ten minute walk away on Cortland. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Vega.Climb to Bernal Heights Park for amazing views of the city.We used the muni and Bart to get into the city without difficulty but it is over a 30 minute ride.Mike was accessible and helpful.

    Andrea2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Nic's place was fabulous. I had never spent much time in Bernal Heights, and I loved it. I went on a gorgeous hike and are delicious food, just around the corner. Mike and Nic were extremely responsive and great to work with. I would stay here again for a nice weekend in SF.

    shalinee2014-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a very relaxed stay at Mike and Nic’s very comfortable, roomy studio. Very effective gas fireplace, which worked really well. Masses of leaflets and local information. The location was ideal for us, being close to our son and his family. It’s in a nice quiet neighbourhood, with a plethora of stores, bars and restaurants just minutes away on foot. We enjoyed a superb meal at Piqueos, the Peruvian restaurant. We much enjoyed travelling by Muni, making use of the excellent rate of $1 for seniors for 90 minutes worth of consecutive transportation. We made frequent use of numbers 67 (round the corner on Bernal Heights Blvd) as well as down the hill on Cortland Ave) and also numbers 24 (along Cortland Ave), and 14 and 49 on Mission St. (URL HIDDEN) was a godsend. We can echo what others have said – communication with Mike and Nic was extremely pleasant and prompt and they were very attentive to all our needs. Many thanks for a comfortable, relaxing stay!

  • My family was visiting me in SF and we found this studio well decorated and that comfortably accomodated my family of 4. Mike, the renter, was very flexible about checkin and checkout times and was available for any questions. My family really enjoyed this place.

    Genevieve2012-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures of the apartment say it all! Roomy, comfortable, good location on corner, parking available on street, easy access to bus and Highway 101 into the city. Loved the cold beer (and non-alcoholic cider) waiting for us in the fridge. Great spot Nic and Mike!

One bedroom sanctuary with a beautiful garden view and cozy fireplace. Comes with it's own entrance just steps from bus lines, train and all that Haight Street has to offer. Complete privacy with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast bar.
If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.
You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.
  • Sara's place is actually amazing! Location is perfect, the house is spectacular & the airbnb space is clean, cosy, & well thought out. I stayed there with my girlfriend & mum & it was perfect for the three of us. Very comfortable, & has all the bells & whistles. While there's no kitchen there was a small fridge, cutllery, cups & bowls, as well as a Nespresso machine which was a massive bonus. We had a late flight out on the day we left & were even allowed to stay at the property until 6pm on the day of departure which was a massive help. While we never got to meet Sara directly, she had her friend Wayne meet us on arrival. He was very friendly & helpful, the perfect host

    Joe2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was out of town, but she was still an excellent host because she made arrangements with another SF local to help us out. The "replacement host" was always available to help us over text and answer questions (like, "where should we park?"). We were impressed with the privacy that Air BnB offered - the host is able to be contacted, but not always checking in with you or watching when you come and go (contrast this to a hotel lobby where everybody is always watching you). The Garden Retreat itself was beautiful and secluded. There were no surprises when we arrived as the listing photographs and description were true to life. Personally, the Haight neighborhood of SF was our favorite. Walking distance to the amazing Golden Gate Park and tons of nearby restaurants to choose from. I can't speak to public transportation as we drove everywhere, but I am surprised at how easy driving and parking was.

    Kelsey2016-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Sara's. Sara was very helpful with directions for transport, eating etc and organizing taxi to airport. Sara's place is well situated to tourist attractions. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

    Jeanine2014-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation in a great location. Only 2 blocks from the main street in Haight Ashbury. Easy access to the city centre. Sara was very hospitable and teally made sure we were comfortable.

    Sarah2015-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was very charming! We had such a nice time in SF. Sara was very welcoming, she made us feel at home right away! And what can we say about her dog...we just fell in love!

    Andréanne2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you are an old hippy, or even if your not, it was a great place to stay. "The Haight" is a little gritty but that was the authentic experience we were looking for. Had a rental car but left it parked and used Uber to get around the city. Anywhere in the city is a $10 Uber away. Nothing but good things to say about Sara's place and San Francisco.

    RICHARD2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's home was exactly what it said on the tin! It was a great place to stay, really quiet and private with a great space to relax in. It really is seconds from Haight, and the area has such a great feel to it. It was really nice not being in the "touristy"bit where the hotels were, I've been to San Francisco before and staying here was a completely different experience. It's still really easy to get to every thing in San Francisco and it's a 15 minute walk to Golden gate park. Sara was a great host, and even let me leave my bags I. The apartment on the last day before my flight which was a real help! If I come back to SF I would stay here!

    Jenny2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I am new to Airbnb and I will tell you that this was an amazing fIrst experience!! From the moment Sara and Boo answered the door we felt very welcomed! The location is amazing, we just wished we had longer than 3 days to spend there. Sara was a blessing! She went out of her way to make us feel at home. She was extremely helpful (and I must say patient with my noisy 5 yr old!) and really saved us by printing out ferry tickets late one night that I needed for the next morning! And the fact that we were able to do laundry was a huge plus!! There was plenty of room for the 3 of us and so much better than a hotel. I feel very lucky to have found Sara's place and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Private entry, quiet, first floor suite with artful touches in 1911 Edwardian. Close to beaches, GGate Park, GGate Bridge, groceries, cafes, restaurants on city-wide trolly line for memorable vacation/business/retreat. Easy drive to Marin.
The private first floor, sidewalk level suite, is clean, comfortable and quiet with original windows and doors providing natural light and fresh air. It's San Francisco living, so you can be sure to hear the sounds of a trolley passing by and footsteps from the flat above. SF STR permit number (4 zeroes) 949
We live in a friendly neighborhood with cafes and restaurants, and are perfectly situated to walk or take local transportation to nearby visit museums. Step out the yellow door and there are walks through wooded trails to Baker Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge, Land's End, and Ocean Beach -- to the Legion of Honor Museum in Lincoln Park, the DeYoung Museum and/or the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, with its lakes and beautiful gardens of the Arboretum. If you prefer to sidewalk explore, it's fun to walk down Clement Street from 25th Avenue to Arguello, stopping in at the pubs and Chinese restaurants (little Chinatown) -- head a bit further to Fillmore Street, or take the full journey on the California 1 trolley (electric bus) - 7 miles to the Ferry Building (about a 2 hour walk) through the distinctly different neighborhoods that make San Francisco such a great place to visit and live. If you are looking for a movie and dinner -- Pizetta 211 and the Four Star Theater are just around the corner. There's something for everyone.
  • Dennis was a fantastic host! The listing was very cute and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for. Dennis was very accommodating to my girlfriends and I! We had a few changes in our plan and we had a few house key mishaps and Dennis was very polite and forgiving:) Dennis and wife gave us our space, which was nice:) The location of the listing was great...very safe and quiet! And a quick Uber or Lyft ride away from all the shopping and attractions. I would definitely recommend this listing to others!

    Kenzie2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! Such a lovely spot to holiday and relax. Close to transport, laundry and cafes. Was a perfect base to explore from too.

    Kylie2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed the place. Very cozy and had several features that made the flat one of a kind. About a 40 min bus ride into downtown which kinda stinks, but I found to trust the area. If you want a quiet place outside the city, but close enough for a quick drive or close-ish bus ride, this is the place. I found the flat to be slightly better than advertised. The pictures don't necessarily do the place justice. Would stay here again!

    Russell2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beyond what I expected ! It was well decorated and cozy. My boyfriend and I arrived late at night and Dennis were kind enough to make it easy for us to find the place and even suggested streets for parking. The place was really clean, there were clean towels provided in the bathroom and extras just in case.. There were also extra blankets but we didn't need to use it because the bed warmer was more than enough. The apartment is next to a cute cafe so don't worry about what you'll be eating for breakfast. I'm completely in love with this place and would definitely recommend to others!

    Trisha2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We recently stayed 5 days. Place is exactly as described and seen in photos. Super cute place. Angelinas and California Market located next door and across the street were great. Don't skip Pizetta 211. Great stay overall.

    Lizet2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    emily2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis was a wonderful host. He made sure everything we needed was available to us, and even left us a bottle of sparkling wine for our stay, which was so kind. The apartment is so lovely and was perfect for our stay in San Fran. The apartment is very unique with a comfy bed, great kitchen and lounge room and a great shower. We loved having a little grocery store right across from us, and made use of the Landry Mat and the Cafe called Angelina's two doors down from the apartment. The cafe has seriously yum food with a homey touch. There are loads of food places right near the apartment, and public transport is very accessible for the explorer. The busses were wonderful, stops were located on the street and it was very easy to get from place to place. We recommend the cafe's choc chip cookies, and highly recommend staying at Dennis apartment in San Fran! It was truly wonderful.

  • Loved, loved, loved this space!! Jeff & Mike were the best hosts! The space is conveniently located across the street from a supermarket, Starbucks, and very near Fillmore street where you can find some of the best restaurants and shopping in town. The space is even lovelier in person. From the very tall ceilings, to the sklylight, to the motion-sensor lights in the bathroom, this space is beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. There is only a mini fridge so if you would like to cook or bring something to the space to eat later be sure to bring your own utensils, napkins, etc. Jeff & Mike were some of the nicest hosts I've dealt with. They were very sweet to give me a tour of the space at 11pm at night due to my very late arrival. They were excellent communicating with me throughout my stay to make sure I enjoyed my stay.

    Estelle2015-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The room was wonderful - clean, stylish, relaxing - and the location was absolutely spectacular. Even on our short trip, we were able to run to the marina and browse some of the great eateries nearby. Jeff was a gracious host, and we will absolutely stay here again the next time we're in San Francisco.

    Caitlin2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful room, great neighborhood, host was very helpful and friendly.

    Carlos2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • I truly enjoyed my stay at Jeffrey's place. My room was clean, spacious, modern and quiet. Loved the modern bathroom and high ceilings. Bedding and towels soft! Location is great--boutiques, cafes, good eats right out the door. Only issues-- parking is a challenge (but that's SF) and stairway to bedrooms is very steep. Fine for me, but problematic for elderly or disabled. All in all a great place and I would stay again.

    Lisa2015-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here. Jeff was gracious and very helpful with info on restaurants, transportation, etc. He helped me with my bags when I arrived and offered to help again when I departed. The room was spacious, comfortable, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops within a five minute walk. Great room, great location, great hosts. Definitely would stay here again.

    Kim2015-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Room is wonderful, stylish and super clean. Jeff, thank you for your good taste. The area is nice too as it is so close to Fillmore. 3 rooms are rented on the same floor, but we barely hear the other guests. I'd recommended this place to anyone else.

    Ruoyi2015-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a great place. So stylish and in a great neighborhood that feels far removed from Union Squares hotels and tourists. We felt like locals :-) Jeff and Mike are great hosts who recommended many places near by and even sent out a list of tips and things to do before we arrived. I forgot my passport at their place and they went out of their way to make sure I got it back. Hope to be back some time!

  • I can only think of one word to describe this listing...'beautiful'. Great location, spacious, strong wifi. Blair is an Awesome host. Flawless communication and easy check in/out process. I've stayed in many listings all over the world and this spot in Pac Heights stands out as the most memorable. Thanks for a great stay in a super listing!

  • We absolutely loved Blair's place in Pacific Heights. The neighborhood is beautiful and the apartment is impeccably and beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location was fantastic - just a few (very steep) blocks to Union Street famous for it's boutiques and restaurants, or you can go up the street and walk down (the much less steep) Fillmore that is also filled with lovely boutiques and restaurants. I was so so happy to be back in the City and always love to rent an apartment when I go so I can feel like I live there again, even for just a few days, and Blair's apartment was perfect. She was a very responsive, easy-going and helpful host. Would definitely stay there again.

    Shastyn2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Blair's lovely home. The building and surrounding area is gorgeous. And the apartment is beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need inside. I never wanted to leave! Blair was very easy to communicate with and was a wonderful host. Definitely a great place to stay whenever you are in the San Francisco area.

  • Fantastic house and area. We had a great time and everything went perfectly. Thank you!

    Olivia2014-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's condo is a place with heart and soul. The details and the tasteful interior makes it a place were you feel immediately at home. The location in Pacific Hights is from our perspective the nicest area in San Francisco. For visiting downtown you need to take a bus or taxi/Uber, however, many nice shops and restaurants are in Fillmore street, just around the corner. When coming back to San Francisco we would alway choose this place again.

    René 2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Blair's place couldn't have been more perfect! She was very clear and proactive in communicating everything we needed in order to get to her place, get the keys and have a great stay! I cannot even describe how cool her taste in interior design is! The furniture and fixtures were stunning as well as the overall look/feel of the apartment. The french doors and balcony were my favorite as you can enjoy your coffee on the deck. The neighborhood could not be beat and is very safe, beautiful and a close walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. As a former San Francisco resident I think I could say that her place is one of the best places your can stay in SF for a true luxurious local experience!

  • The condo is a beautiful place - it's fun and comfortable and perfect for a San Francisco-style retreat. Blair made it really easy to enjoy the trip, and hope we get to come back someday!

    Jennifer2014-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment, convenient location, lovely neighborhood with parks and good restaurants. There were even two tennis courts two blocks away that we could use for free! Blair was super friendly and very prompt with her replies. Only downside was that the apartment seemed like it had not been properly cleaned in a while (surfaces and textiles dusty, bed didn't feel 100% clean). All in all our experience was however positive.

  • Hosts were great! They offer great ideas on what to do in the area. Both are well traveled, hardworking and considerate of their guests. Very hospitable and they make a great breakfast! Their home is comfortable and beautifully located in the Castro neighborhood. I would stay again for sure if back in SF!

  • It was a great location, amazing views, and wonderful hospitality! Ken was a great host- gave me some useful advice on places to go and how best to get there. The dogs were adorable too! I really felt at home there. thanks again Ken and Ashish!

  • felt like coming home. easy going, accurate description of space. kinda hard to leave. if and when I get back to that city this is my first place to check for availability.

    franz2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ashish and Ken are wonderful hosts - exceptionally friendly and very knowledgable about your surrounds. Their gorgeous Labrador Paul is also a very warm and welcoming little guy, but keeps to his own mostly. The space is great for a solo traveller, with epic views and just the right amount of room. For light sleepers, the sunrise in summer and general street noise may be slightly annoying, but nothing that can't be fixed by the provided nightshade and some earplugs. The location is brilliant, nestled in the welcoming Castro district, you're three blocks from a Muni, tram and bus. 10mins to Ferry Building and the guts of San Francisco. Very highly recommended.

  • It's really amazing experience to visit here, comfortable and quiet place. The host Lisa provide everything as she could do, it's like your own home with great detain design everywhere. I will definitely to revisit here in the future. Thanks Lisa!

We have room to sleep two comfortably with options of a futon (full bed) and/or leather sectional. Our guests sleep downstairs, and we sleep upstairs in the loft area. We are very easy going people and enjoy hosting our guests from around the world! Our location is convenient to multiple venues, tech companies, tourist spots, and great food. Check our guidebook for some of our favorites! Message me with any questions or simply use Instant Book to stay with us!
Our loft is updated and very spacious. If you are okay with sharing a space with my wife and I, then it's a perfect fit! Our place is centrally located in the city and a short commute to some of the best sights San Francisco has to offer. There is street parking on all the streets surrounding out building. We do not have secured parking for guests. We have everything you need: fully stocked kitchen washer/dryer TV/internet comfortable bed to sleep on :)
  • Lovely house and super cute dog, have to go next time.

    Rayi2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Brad & Danielle's place is lovely and easily accessible. The dynamics of the open loft living were a different experience for me but it worked just fine. Easy access from highways and airport. Dakota (the dog) was totally chilled - I'm not really a dog person but this was fine.

    Edelweiss2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Danielle are friendly and helpful. I'm happy for my short stay at their place.:)

    leah2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Bradford was super lovely, very accommodating and made our check in process a total breeze. Great location in the SoMA and very clean apartment. Not much privacy (which we were totally fine with and prepared for) but other travelers may prefer a private room rather than open layout with loft and shared loft bathroom. But I definitely think this place is for a particular type of traveler who's open to meeting great hosts, and having a more casual, sociable and affordable Airbnb experience in San Francisco. Thanks for hosting us and providing so many great recommendations, Bradford!

    Lauren2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Bradford and Danielle were amazing! They were so accomodating and welcoming. It was the perfect space for us to use on our last night in SF as we were looking for a place to just crash before our 6AM flight in the morning. Their entire home was pretty much open for us to use and they were so down to earth that I felt like I was staying with friends I knew for years. Clean and open space, easy to find, free street parking in front, what more could you ask for? Beautiful couple and a beautiful home.

    Andrea2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Danielle were phenomenal hosts and very courteous. Really enjoyed my experience staying with them. Their apartment and its location are also both very hard to beat!

    Bryce2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bradford & Danielle are really great hosts. They are extremely kind and make you feel welcomed as soon as you meet them. Their pup is also just as sweet and extremely lovable. The apartment was clean, in a great location, and spacious. I definitely recommend them!

  • Brad and Danielle rock! They were super nice and welcoming and I would definitely stay again. The apartment was organized and clean. I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. 5 stars!

  • Je and Derren were such kind people and were excellent hosts who were always easy to contact and ready to help. Their home was immaculately clean and had all the amenities you could need, with surprise bonuses like netflix! Location was excellent with cheap ubers able to get us everywhere, I couldn't recommend Je and Derren and this wonderful air bnb enough! It was such a pleasure to stay there, we genuinely loved every minute of it and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Sarah2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Close to public transit and busier streets but away enough for a peaceful sleep. The beach isn't too far, the Golden Gate Park is right above and near the Castro district too. Loved the hosts, they were very nice. Loved the system for checking in and out. The rooms were modern and the bathroom was very clean which is always a big deal for me.

    Francisco2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • I have been at the accomodation with a friend for three nights. Everything has been exactly like in zur pictures and was very new. The kitchen included everything that is needed and also towels were available. Unfortunately we have gotten a fine as we we're Parking on the street so so do only park there when it is really allowed. Metro als bus ja available in 5 min distance walk, which makes it quite easy to go the City (takes about 30min depending in where you go)

    Svenja 2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Very easy to work with Darren and communicate. Self check in. It's almost like a hostel vibe. Solid food in the area as well!

    Min J.2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Je and Darren's place is located in Sunset, a very quiet yet convenient location from which to explore the Bay Area. It is a five minutes walk to cafes and ten minutes to Safeway supermarket and practically one minute to the 19th Avenue which becomes the freeway. Parking is a breeze right on the street in front of the house. The space is absolutely sparkling clean, brightly lit and so brand new one could still smell the paint! The kitchen is well appointed. Coffee and teas are thoughtfully offered. The beds are comfortable and no traffic can be heard of ensuring a good night's sleep. Bedrooms, depending on which you book from the four, range from mid-size to very small. The two bathrooms work very well for the four bedrooms. Waiting time is minimal. All in all, the space is small and simple but very sufficient if you need a clean, safe, efficient place to come home to after a day of exploring San Francisco.

    Lulu2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our San Francisco stay was made better by staying here! The space was very clean, the modern kitchen was well outfitted, bathrooms were clean and equipped with great touches for a shared bathroom, like the wooden shower stand and hanging hooks for towels and clothes. Overall very comfortable, affordable and quick response time with communication.

    Trina2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Je and Darren host what looks like an apartment converted into a mini hostel. It's clean and decent for how expensive it is but isn't your average ABB. It can also be loud as you can hear the kids on the floor above you and other guests talking even with all doors shut.

    Michael2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Booking and communication were really easy with Je and Darren. Daniel also helped a lot and was very prompt with replies! Everything was very clean and the room was definitely enough for the few days we stayed. Unfortunately another guest in one of their other rooms left their front door open to air things out or keep cool, so there were a number of mosquitoes that got in. Nothing Je and Darren could have anticipated, but it comes with the territory of a shared space. I did like the fact that the fridge was sectioned off for each room though to ensure it's not a free for all for space :) Just an FYI for anyone driving - parking was a minor issue, but Je and Darren made us well aware of the situation before we arrived. Street parking is free, but it is first come first serve and each street has different street cleaning days, so if you are not leaving by 8am each day you may need to move your car to another street over to avoid a ticket. Other than that the stay was great and I would recommend it for anyone staying in SF!

Come share our beautiful, peaceful, 4br modern home with amazing city views on Potrero Hill. Two rooms for respectful guests available in our recently built, gorgeous home. Custom cabinets, marble bathrooms, plenty of parking. The bus to downtown stops on the corner. Me, Sam, and our two kittens, Puss & Boots live here.
Wake up from a quiet deep slumber on a comfy memory foam mattress. Grab a cup of coffee and sit looking out at the city from the dining area, or sit in the sunny back garden. Hop on the #10 bus outside your door to get downtown, North Beach, FiDi. the #19 takes you right to Fisherman's wharf and many attractions. Everyone who has stayed says it's an amazing place. Convenient to SF General, SOMA, the Mission, and right off the freeway to take you south to the peninsula, or east over the Bay Bridge.
The sunshine, the views, the convenience to downtown and the beach. Potrero is one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city. Tourists don't usually come here, so it has a real locals feel. Yet you can be in the mission or Soma in five minutes. I love being close to the action yet being quiet and relaxed at home.
  • Loved Emily and her wonderful little retreat from the busy city! This was my 3rd Airbnb experience and I was still a little skeptical, however Emily's place made me a true believer! I came up to the city to see the nutcracker and have a girl's overnighter. This was better than seeing the nutcracker, and that was pretty delightful, lol. I invited Emily to stay at my place if she is ever in my area. THAT'S how much we enjoyed it.

    Maureen2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed in Emily's place. It was perfect! The house is very nice, modern and clean and Emily is a fantastic host! There were cold beers in the fridge, and she even dropped us off in the restaurant where we had our appointment, after giving us a small San Francisco tour. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely book Emily's house again when visiting San Francisco.

    Bo2014-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Emily made the check in process extremely easy, and gave us some excellent tips for spots in the city. Her "House Manual" helped us pick restaurants during our stay, and all of them were excellent recommendations. Plow had possibly the best brunch I have ever eaten. She is not kidding about the hills in the area being huge, but I don't mind a good workout. Overall Emily was an excellent host and I would not hesitate to stay with her again. Highly recommended!

    Spencer2014-10-23T00:00:00Z

  • Emily made a special trip to welcome us to her lovely home. She was gracious about letting us use her wonderful kitchen for quick meals before our other obligations. We enjoyed meeting her and loved staying in her home with views of San Francisco.

    Colene2014-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Early was the perfect host, easy to communicate with and very generous. The room was spacious and light with great comfort and a separate bathroom. Everything was clean and inviting. Emily prepared a lovable breakfast that we enjoined with the view of downtown below. The area was nice and quiet. I will really recommend Emily.

    Kerstin2015-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Emily was super welcoming and accommodating - she met us at the door and even helped us carry bags up! Storing food in her kitchen was no problem, and she gave us a tour which included a roofdeck with amazing views! Really comfy bed, nice room, great shower - it couldn't have been a nicer stay. Thanks for everything!

The one thing I love most about this place is the location! You can walk about a block to the heart of Fillmore Street for cafes, shops, restaurants, and just about anything you need. If you want to explore the city, we are a few blocks from two great parks, a half a mile to the cable cars, and a one-mile walk through Pacific Heights' magnificent "Gold Coast" to the beautiful and historic Presidio. The location is also very well served by the bus system. The central location puts the whole city in reach!
  • Very pleased with my first airbnb experience and stay at Jay's listing. The apartment felt like a 5 star hotel with the benefit of complete privacy. The location is fabulous, within walking distance of shops, great restaurants and cozy coffee joints. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Jay during my stay, but he was more than accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. Highly recommended!

    Abbie2014-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a great experience. One notices that Jay has experience with Airbnb - in a good way. Everything went very smooth, from start to finish. Communication was instant, helpful and friendly. Arrival was no issue thanks to a door with code. The room was clean and comfortable and there was enough space. Jay was happy to answer any questions we had. Providing breakfast cereal and milk was a very nice touch that we appreciated. I recommend staying here for a worry-free stay.

    Jan 2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Jay had to be one of the highlights of my trip to SF. Not only is Jay an incredibly responsible and responsive host, but his home is absolutely beautiful. The place is impeccably clean and wonderfully decorated. I also had more pillows and towels than I knew what to do with! I highly recommend staying with Jay and will certainly be back. His home is easy to find and the neighbourhood is very safe (good for tourists who aren't sure how to navigate SF's many areas). Great place to stay in terms of entertainment as well - you're about a block away from the Fillmore District and no more than a few minutes walk from Japantown (one of my favourite neighbourhoods)! Don't hesitate - book away.

    Ashley2015-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Heard about Jay's AirBnB from my neighbors, who happened to be good friends of his. I was in town for a few days for a conference so I decided to stay with him. The pictures almost don't do it justice for how nice the accommodations are. Great location, very safe. Easily acccessible by Uberpool. Jay was out for a last minute business trip for the first day, but we were able to hang out for a bit after he got back on the next day in between my busy conference schedule. Great guy, very welcoming, and a lot of fun to kick it with. It was fantastic to stay here, and most certainly if I am every in SF again I will make it a priority to stay with him!

    Annabel2016-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! This was my first Airbnb, so I wasn't exactly sure how the process would go, but it's been fantastic from the time I booked. When it was closer to my trip, Jay contacted me in advance to make sure I didn't have any questions and was very friendly and quick to answer anything I asked. The listing was exactly what it said. It was a fantastic location - near a lot of restaurants, shops, etc. The home itself was very well kept. I was impressed and would recommend this room to others. Thank you!

    Tom2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's place was great! It was in an awesome location close to great restaurants. Close enough to walk to fishermans wharf. We had "roommates" which made the stay interesting. We got to meet and talk to the other people staying there which we liked. We couldn't have loved our time in San Francisco more and would totally recommend staying at Jay's place!

  • We loved our stay so much! Thank you for being such a gracious host. We will definitely be back.

    Leah2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • My girls and I enjoyed staying at Igor's home, which is authentic "San Francisco" style architecture. Our room was comfortable, with plenty of space. There were plenty of towels to use in the bathroom, which was very clean & had nice hot water. The only issue was sharing that bathroom with other guests that may be staying there as well. It wasn't a problem for us--but you might just want to be aware of that situation. I actually liked meeting guests there from the Netherlands while we were there!

    Annette2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was in a nice area but not near most of the activities nor the BART so you needed to take a car or bus line to get around. A little nosy with other guests and sharing a bathroom but overall, a good place to stay.

    Wendy2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Very easy to walk to downtown, golden gate park and the Golden Gate Bridge!

    Tori2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is in a great location particularly if you prefer a quieter neighbourhood. The room is spacious and comfortable, there's laundry facilities and a lovely back yard to sit in. Igor is a generous host, giving useful information on the sights and getting around the city. A great find.

    Sally2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was in a cool location - close to LOTS of food options and walkable to Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park. It's a great place to rest your head for the night if you plan on touring all day - we were literally only there at night. Hosts are communicative and helpful. Just be aware that you'll have to share a bathroom and the walls are thin, so you can hear others speaking in other rooms. Overall, great place to stay while touring San Francisco!

A block from Valencia, 3.5 blocks to BART, fabulous cafes, restaurants, shops and clubs within one block. Yes, you have your own space, your own bathroom and your own entrance. Our building has 3 units, and you will be sharing a wall. The people on the other side of the shared wall are loud. I wish I could say we have a quiet sanctuary. If you read through my reviews, you will see that the noise bothers some, but not all. I provide a background noise machine and earplugs.
The space is on the ground floor with a sliding glass door that opens to the back yard. The main room has a queen size bed, dresser, desk, and futon sofa, cable TV, and shelves to organize your things. There is a small room outside of the bathroom that has a small refridgerator, and microwave. Since it is not a real kitchen, there are disposable plates and utensils because doing dishes in the bathroom would not be a good idea for our plumbing. You will find a Nespresso coffee maker, coffee pods, a toaster, cutting board and knife. The bathroom has a sliding door, The toilet is under the stairs, so a sloping ceiling, please take care not to bump your head! (See the picture) There is a sink and shower.
The Mission is hard to describe. It is vibrant, and a little bit of all that SF has to offer. There is great food, and the best people and this block of SF has the best micro-climate in the whole city. I feel lucky to live here.
  • Karen was polite, kind and extreamly welcoming! I landed early in SF and she let me drop my luggage off in her storage unit and even moved my stuff into the room for me while I was out on the town. She was a great host and the place was amazingly well kept! I highly recommend her and the place. She even stocked the place with a couple bottles of wine and beer! A+++

  • What an awesome listing! Great communication beforehand, and Karen was available to greet and show me around when I arrived at 10pm to check in. The room is perfect. It is large, very clean, and super comfortable. I had a short stay (in at 10pm out at 8am) but I could have comfortably stayed here for weeks. The location is perfect - it's in a great neighborhood and is very close to Dolores Park. I didn't get a chance to check out the back yard but it looked nice :) I highly recommend staying here.

  • My sister and I planned to spend the night at Karen's on Feb 8th together, but I missed my plane so it ended up being just my sister staying the night. Karen was beyond helpful and so nice in making sure my sister got to her place safely. With the weather (rain) hitting SF, she offered to pick us up from the BART station, and after finding out my sister was traveling alone she walked to the station to meet her! She was very prompt in replying to emails and being in contact with us before our arrivals. Now onto her place. Karens room was very private, with a separate entry off the street and then a keyless entry to the room from the basement/backyard/street entrance. It was very clean, with maps of the city, fridge, laundry, microwave, coffee maker, umbrella, and private bathroom. There is a patio to the most adorable backyard. I am planning to visit SF again with my husband and would most definitely stay with Karen. She is very hospitable, and also allowed us to keep our luggage at the room for most of the next day! Thank you Karen!

  • This was the second time I stayed with Karen. My second stay, like the first one, was very pleasant. Karen is a nice and accommodating person and her apartment is just perfect in terms of appearance and location. I plan to stay with Karen again soon on my next trip to San Francisco.

  • We had such a great time in Karens house. The room has private entrance so you do not have to bother anyone. I loved the sidedeck !!in the morning we enjoyed there our coffee. The room was very clean and there was everything you need. I would definitely recommend this house!

  • Karen was very easy to communicate with and the place had everything we need. Great location in the heart of Mission Dolores!

  • Great location, clean and comfy room, and excellent host. Simply put, Karen's hospitality and place was amazing. She has certainly paid attention to detail--from extra phone chargers, extra towels, bottled water, and even small snacks and chocolates--she's got you covered. Definitely would love to stay here again when in SF! Thank you, Karen!

  • I was in town for a tech conference and needed a simple, clean place to crash close to BART. This was my first Air BNB experience, and it was a great one. I'll be back! Karen was very responsive as I made the booking and also when I arrived. She met me when I arrived - she lives upstairs - and was lovely. She even left some bottled water on the doorstep following a Costco run - nice tough. The room is spacious, light, simply decorated and clean. The bathroom is well stocked with towels, and there is a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable, the building was quiet, and the location is unbeatable for the Mission. The room and bedroom have their own entry, so it really feels like a apartment, just minus a full kitchen. Great find!

  • This place is fine if you want to save money and you're only stopping off. Basic amenities and easy process. The area is pretty sketchy and it's hard to find parking. You get what you pay for.

  • James was super accommodating. He answered all my messages quick and was really friendly when showing us the place. He was so nice. The place was very clean. The kitchen had everything you need pots pans and stuff. He even gave us some water bottles and ice in the freezer. There was a keurig which was sweet. The bathroom was really clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Best part flat screen smart tv James connected to his account so you can watch whatever. Parking was easy to find on the street. We would definitely go back and stay at Jame's place!

  • It was clean and convenient.

    Victoria2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what we needed: clean, rollaway bed, and coffee in the morning. A perfect place to crash after exploring the city all day.

    Kristina2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very clean and a cool little space. I was traveling solo but this would easily fit several guests. Great to have a private kitchen and bathroom. Never met James but the communication and check-in were perfect. Other reviews have described the neighborhood as sketchy. I would have to agree with that. The actual block where the apartment is located is fine, but once you get into town it's a little scary. This is obviously not James' fault at all and again, the apartment was great and quite secure. Just a heads-up if you're someone who would be intimidated by that sort of thing. Thanks James!

    Matt2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • James home was wonderful. The neighbourhood was a wonderful place.

    Tom2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • It's get everything you need. And a little more good place for the price

    Mario2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a great stay at James'! The place was very tidy, clean, and neat for a great price. Everything was set up very well for us when we arrived! I wasn't able to get ahold of James via messenger but he picked up right away when I called to inquire about self check-in which was very easy. Street parking was a little hard to find at night but we were able to grab a good spot.

  • Rene was a great host! The place was nice as well. We stayed in the master and someone else was in the living space. We originally booked because of the view but unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it in the morning because the living room person had blocked off the door to the patio to block the sun I assume and we had no way to get out there. Pretty bummed but everything else was great! Would definitely return.

We look forward to sharing one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city with you, the Mission! PLEASE NOTE: We provide parking but we ask $20 per day, not included in your booking price. It is payable in cash when you arrive. There is only one spot and we have two rooms so please inquire about availability. We live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath flat and list two rooms on Airbnb. The two guests rooms share one bathroom. You will either share the bathroom with one other guest or have it to yourself if the other room is not booked. Our place is easily accessible from all Bay Area airports (we are 3 blocks from the 24th St Mission BART station). We are near the Valencia Street corridor (one block) and we are a short walk to foodie heaven (Delfina, Bi-RIte, Arizmendi, Dosa, etc) as well as Dolores Park. A very short BART ride gets you to other great parts of the city (door to door 10-20 minutes) including the Moscone Center, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, North Beach and we are walking distance to Noe Valley, the Castro, and Hayes Valley. Very easy bus or MUNI (train) connections will get you to the Haight/Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, and Fisherman's Wharf in about 30 minutes. However, San Francisco is a small city and the greatest way to appreciate it is on foot! Our commitment is to provide you: Great Value An impeccably clean room and house A very central location, easy to access everything you want to see in the city and lots of public transit options The most comfortable bed. It is a hypo-alergenic, organic, Natura mattress (you need to try it to appreciate it) Expertise on the city to help make your experience memorable- we have over 30 cumulative years in San Francisco and very diverse interests. We're here to help! Assistance if you want it and peace and quiet if you don't. Very flexible check in and check out We are within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and diverse nightlife . Check out our guidebook for things to do in the neighborhood. We've tried to provide a varied list of the best our neighborhood has to offer. You will have a sunny private bedroom (full sized bed) with shared bath. If you want to "cook in" we have markets a block away with everything you'll need. Coffee and tea are available in the morning. The house has WiFi and a 42" LCD TV which you are welcome to use. We look forward to making your trip to San Francisco a memorable one! Michael and Yesica
  • Michael's room is great because everything feels new, comfortable and clean. The living room area is gorgeous and makes you feel right at home. Great location in the middle of Mission. I was very happy with my stay. One last detail is that it was a bit of an inconvenient having to share the bathroom with another couple that was staying in the other bedroom.

    Karla2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean + nice Room and Apartment. Perfect location in the Mission District! Yesica gave me some nice tipps for breakfast spots, etc... Next time SF - again :)

    Christoph2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the stay. The home was beautiful and was as-described. Yesica spent time going over the local attractions and how to get to them from their place. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

    Steve2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • During my stay, Michael and Yesica went on a family trip, so I did not get to meet them in person. Michael sent me detailed instructions before my arrival so that everything ran smoothly. He was quickly responsive by email to any question that I had before and during my stay (he also left a phone number which I did not feel the need to use). The room, bathroom and the apartment were very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The apartment is very close to the Mission and Valencia night life area, and yet quiet. Felt safe to walk in the area at night. Close to the BART station, which got me to the city center and SFO. Overall, warmly recommend staying at Michael and Yesica's place.

  • This has been my first experience with Airbnb and... couldn't be better!!! Michel and Yesica are great hosts! The house is wonderful, exactly as described, lots of space! Mission is awesome! I loved Valencia street, a place full of good food (thanx to Yesica too). But the “plus” of this experience is Michael and Yesica, two truly lovely people! Need an advise where to dine? To have breakfast? Places really good can't miss? No problem, ask Yesica! She’ll be gad to give all the informations you need. She's been so kind, really a pleasure to meet people so fantastic as them! Thanx guys, i hope to stay with you again.

Our suite features a charming bedroom, full private bathroom, private entrance/exit, plus your own deck with a view to our beautiful garden. The location is perfect for travelers wanting a safe quiet space near BART, shopping, and restaurants with easy parking.
Located a stones-throw from Glen Park BART station and several other convenient transportation options, this beautiful garden-level suite is the perfect retreat for those who want a home-base to explore the city (and beyond) and appreciate coming back to a lovely and relaxing environment. The private bedroom and attached full bath are on the lower level of a single family house, with separate access through the garage. Step outside the french doors to your own patio facing the colorful garden. It's a great spot to read or just relax with a beverage. The suite includes a deluxe queen bed, wifi, flat screen tv with Apple TV, includes HBO and Netflix, large closet, dresser, iron and ironing board, a pod coffee maker with an assortment of coffee and tea pods, microwave, mini-fridge/freezer, dishes, silverware, and glasses. Note there is **no kitchen access**. The full bath features an ample tub. The room can accommodate two adults and one infant or child 5 years or younger. You may use our washing machine and dryer located in the garage, just ask first please. Note that we have two toddlers upstairs and our household starts around 7:30am. We try to make as little noise as possible in the mornings, but as our kitchen is right above the guest suite, our space may not be a good fit for guests that are sensitive to sounds at that hour. ***Ours is a friendly and inclusive home. We do not discriminate based on nationality, race, age, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. All are welcome and appreciated!***
Glen Park is a sunny, friendly, and safe little neighborhood with several good restaurants, a healthy foods grocery store, fun decor shops and a great independent bookstore that features live music performances. It's part of the City, yet it feels like a little village. It has a calm and friendly vibe and all the convenient transportation options make this a perfect home-base. Just a few blocks away is GLEN CANYON PARK. Unlike any other park in the City, it is situated in a rustic canyon, with 70 acres of bucolic, walking trails along Islais Creek, or more challenging hikes up to the top of the Canyon. Folks come from all over the City for the birding, nature walks, and even rock-climbing.
  • I totally recommend this place to anyone. If you are looking for comfortable and want to experience one of the best and cool part of SF in this neighborhood, Glen Park (probably the most chill and friendly community), look no further. 5 stars location, 5 stars to the room and shinny 5 stars to the dearest host, Ms. Kate. She was sweet and very accommodating. We are very thanksful for their hospitality!

  • Great place to stay in SF! Located in a very friendly neighborhood very well connected with public transportation for wherever you might wanna go! The room was all cosy and clean, too bad we didn't spend more time on the nice terrasse! Kate was very welcoming and helpful, we totally recommend this oasis!

  • This studio is truly tranquil and very convenient. It's so nice to have a private deck with comfy chairs. Loved that the light and garden seemed to be a part of the room. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and fun to explore. Great location with all parts of San Francisco easily accessible . Excellent restaurants within 2 minute walking distance. Wonderful to have a BART station a few blocks away. Kate is a lovely and conscientious hostess. We felt well taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay. Oona is delightful . This is a place we want to come back to.

    Jane2014-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • My host Kate was the very best that you can ask for. The description of the place is very accurate, it was fully equipped with everything me and my girlfriend needed. and incredibly neat and clean. It offers great privacy and independent entrance thru the garage. Kate made us feel as independent as you can feel in your own place. By the way, it's a 5 minutes drive to either Market Street, Mission District or Castro. You can't have better location for the price. Also, parking in the neighborhood is not a big issue. Maybe I got lucky but I never had to park more than a block away from Kate's place. Few regulations might sound a little complicated and too many, but in truth, it's all very simple when you come to deal with it. It's just common sense what you need. Everything was so perfect that we didn't find time to see our host other than when we checked in and on the way out. Her responsiveness was always on point and, we never got interrupted. Our privacy was never breached, not once. Not even when we got to the place for the check-in. Kate texted me (I don't remember having waited more than a minute for her response, always on point) saying that she was going to give us a 5 minutes to settle before coming down, and 5 minutes after was knocking at the door asking for permission to come down the stairs. No wonder she is an all-star host in the San Francisco area. This was so amazing that I don't feel like trying anything else. The next time I will be staying at Kate's again.

    Alex2015-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed in Kate's home during my spring break from school. We absolutely loved staying here. The room was just as described in the listing. It was clean, spacious and private. The bathroom had clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc. The room also cam equipped with snacks, water, a refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee machine. Those definitely came in handy! After we arrived, Kate came down to meet us. She went over the house rules and gave us suggestions for our visit to San Francisco. She was always available via text to answer any questions we had. She was such a sweet soul! The room also came with a binder that included the rules, information about parking, and hey Yelp reviews of surrounding restaurants. This definitely helped us a lot! This place definitely felt very homey. Also the neighborhood was wonderful! The house was walking distance to many restaurants. We felt very safe walking around. We went to 1 restaurant and 1 coffee shop and were not disappointed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the next time we visit San Francisco, we will definitely stay here again!

    Julie2015-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely apartment which had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. It's so convenient for the city - it only took 20 mins from Embarcadero to the door on the Bart. Would definitely commend to anyone wanting great value accommodation in a good part of the city. Kate was a lovely host and responded quickly to all queries.

    Marianne2013-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's place is conveniently located near neighborhood restaurants and close to the BART. The accommodations are as described and very adequate. Kate is friendly and helpful with ideas on where to eat, park and what to see.

    Chuck2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Airbnb and I am so glad I did. Kate was wonderful and everything is just as described. Very clean and neat and I would stay here again. The patio area is so pretty but I didn't get to use it because of the weather. The BART station is about a block and a half away. It was so easy to get anywhere I wanted to go. As a single woman, I felt very safe in the area even after dark. And there is a great market right down the street. If you're going to San Fran, this is a great place to stay!

Quiet space for quiet guests. Modern, cozy, private, bedroom with a private en suite bathroom in Castro neighborhood. Perfect for single person (very safe) or couple. Excellent for business travelers: mini-fridge, Kueurig coffee maker, cereal for breakfast and snacks. Largest room in apt. w/queen-sized bed and cozy decor and homey feel. LGBTQI run/friendly. Plenty of street parking without time limits! Two cats - one friendly, one aloof.
Yes, I DO offer one night stays if they fall between two longer stays! If you are unable to request a one-night stay, just send an inquiry and I'll make it happen! **This is a quiet home best suited for quiet guests. If you prefer late nights out or loud music/behavior, my place isn't for you!** My Castro home features a larger-than-a-hotel master suite -- yes, you have your own private bathroom - and includes some extras to make your experience a little more luxurious! QUICK FACTS ABOUT YOUR STAY -- Your own PRIVATE bathroom attached to your bedroom -- only you have access (I have my own) -- Large, quiet room in the back of the house, away from street noise -- Brand new, extremely comfortable queen sized mattress bed (For European guests, that is 152 cm x 203 cm) -- Keurig coffee maker in the room -- mini refrigerator in the room for your drinks, etc. -- Free, unlimited street parking -- Free, good wifi -- Free local and long distance domestic phone calls -- 5 min. walk to Castro/public transportation; central SF location; 10-15 minute walk to the Mission, Haight Ashbury, Noe Valley; and about 20 min. to Golden Gate Park. -- Beautiful views of Kite Hill, Eureka Valley, & Twin Peaks -- To lighten your travel load, I provide shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, facial soap, body wash, shaving cream, razor, body lotion and other amenities. -- iron and ironing board -- Very homey and comfortable feel -- breakfast cereals provided - also in the room (milk in the mini fridge) -- 2 mellow cats included - but they are NEVER allowed in the guest bedroom (even when you're not here) in case you have allergies. -- Private access to backyard w/table & chairs -- Book basket: I have several books available for you to read or take with you. If you want to drop one off, that is great, but it's not necessary. THE NEIGHBORHOOD - NOTE: the house is on a hill so if you aren't comfortable walking up and down it, my suggestion would be to take Lyft. I can send you a discount code if you don't have it yet! Just shoot me an email. You will be staying on 17th Street - the closest neighborhood is the Castro -- a 5 minute walk to Castro & Market, where most major MUNI lines (K,L,M,T,S and historic street cars) converge. The location is smack dab in the middle of SF which means you are also walking distance to a variety of other awesome neighborhoods including the Mission, Cole Valley, Golden Gate Park, Haight Ashbury, and Noe Valley. If you don't want to walk - the central location makes cabs affordable. It is a 15 minute trip to Union Square (including the walk to MUNI stop), a 20 minute drive to the Golden Gate Bridge, about a 20 minute drive to Fisherman's Wharf or 30 minutes by MUNI. There is a great selection of restaurants, bars, and shops that are all walking distance from the house. The Castro Theater - complete with a Wurlitzer organ player - is just a 5 minute walk. Some of the great restaurants just minutes away from the house include Frances (winner of several awards, including a James Beard award), Anchor Oyster Bar, and Chow (a casual, neighborhood restaurant that has something for everyone). The next neighborhood over, only about a 10-15 minute walk, is the Mission which features some of the best restaurants in the city. ABOUT YOUR ROOM & PRIVATE BATHROOM The bedroom is spacious, quiet, and serene, and is decorated with local artists' work. It features a private, en-suite bathroom. The queen-sized Posturpedic bed is brand new and has comfy linens including a down comforter and both firm and soft pillows. Relative to the rest of the house, this room gets less light but still has two windows and plenty of lighting in the room. Set in the back of the house, the room is very private and quiet-- you basically have the whole back of the house to yourself, including private access to a cute, intimate backyard where you can sit after your day (or during your day!) and use the barbecue to make dinner. (I love to barbecue and I can show you how to use it). Your stay comes complete with two beautiful and extremely mellow cats, Roger and Hank! However, the cats are never allowed in the guest bedroom and most guests with allergies have reported that they had no reaction during their stay. They take some time to warm up to others and often tend to disappear when guests arrive. THE HOUSE The house is newly renovated, very clean and cozy with a modern feel and lots of light. It's on the top floor so I have a nice view of Twin Peaks and Eureka Valley which is especially pretty at night. The kitchen, living room, backyard, and washer/dryer are available for guests to use. Note that the bedroom does not have a TV, however, the wifi can get you connected on your laptop. I've lived in San Francisco for 18 years I am not exaggerating when I say that I am in love with this city. I know the city very well and can help guide you to destinations that are worthwhile (and those that aren't). I hope you will grow to love San Francisco as much as I do. TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT By far the best way to get here these days is to take Lyft - it's about half the price of a taxi and it's door-to-door. The prices range but it's usually anywhere between $20-30. If you don't have Lyft on your phone, shoot me an email and I'll send you a discount code (I have a relationship with Lyft). A cab is about $55 including tip. You can take BART (public transportation) to the 16th Street Station or Civic Center (approx. $8 per person, one way). I suggest you take a cab from there (approx. $7.00) because my place is on a hill which is quite steep at a couple points - you don't want to be lugging your bags up the hill although many guests have done it. SuperShuttle is a "shared ride" airport shuttle that transports several passengers and is cheaper but generally takes longer ($18 for one person; $28 for two).
The Castro is a vibrant neighborhood with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and the amazing Castro Theatre. It's also a safe neighborhood. While historically a gay neighborhood, that is changing now. Everyone will feel welcome in the Castro, I can assure you. While homelessness is a problem in SF, you won't see that near the house. It's only when you get to Castro & Market that you'll notice it. The fact that I live on a hill is a deterrent! PARKING IS EASY HERE This is a great choice if you have a car!! While most SF neighborhoods require a parking permit in order to park for any longer than two hours, my neighborhood has NO TIME RESTRICTIONS for parking so you can leave the car for as long as you want. The only caveat is street cleaning which happens on Wed. 12-2 (on odd side of street) and Thurs 9-11 on the even side).
  • Chris has gone out of her way to ensure that her guest room with its private bathroom has everything that a visitor could possibly need. The bedroom is spacious (more so than it appears in the photographs) and the bed is very comfortable, there is ample storage space and a good sized writing desk. This room also opens out onto a bright shared garden, with a lemon tree and visiting birds. And the apartment is only a 7 minute walk from the Castro Muni station. Chris made us feel very welcome and we were very much at home, we had easy access to Kitchen along with the sitting room and TV. She has good internet access at a good speed and works with all the devices we brought along! And then there are the cats, the magnificent Roger and the very sexy Mrs Roger (AKA Hank), we’re cat lovers so they were an added bonus. They are big cats with big personalities and if you’re not interested in them they will just leave you alone. As with most cats, they’re not interested in you unless you have something they want! J We had the perfect stay with the perfect host and can’t recommend Chris enough! Next time when we visit San Francisco she will definitely be our first choice.

  • It was a great place to stay for a couple of days in SF. Chris is adorable and offered is a nice welcome. We recommand the place without any hesitation!

  • Clean and great location. While I didn't get to meet Chris, she was always super pleasant in all of our exchanges. And, her cats rock.

  • Chris is really nice and the bed is really comfortable. I like the house.

  • Chris is awesome! We had a great time, the room and the bathroom are clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. We also had great conversations with Chris and she was very personable, generous and friendly.

  • The place is great - clean and comfortable. Awesome bathroom. Close to some great foods/drinks and public transport. Chris is a fantastic host, too. We had some good conversation and she gave us some great advice as far as what to see and do in San Francisco.

    andy2012-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I only had one night at this lovely little spot but it was a fantastic experience and we wished we had been able to book a longer stay. First, it's very clean and tidy and feels just like a little hotel. We have your own bathroom and access to a charming little sunny patio where Kevin and I had a couple of beers and recovered from our hectic travel. Castro is a great area and Chris pointed us towards a couple of options for food and touring that was off the beaten path and made our first night in SF a perfect experience.

This is a fantastic location right in the heart of the city. All MUNI subway lines stop at nearby Church and Market MUNI subway stop. Your room is private with its own lock. Comfortable full sized bed. Flat screen TV High Speed Internet . Strong Comcast Wifi. Closet and under bed drawers. Your room is very small but efficient. Maid comes three times a week to insure that the large shared granite kitchen and 2-1/2 shared marble bathrooms stay clean.
  • Great location, nice and clean place, I would definitely stay again!

    Martina2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place really clean and close to the Castro street by foot. We didn't saw any host and the room is really small without a window but it's a good price for a good location. If we had to return in San Francisco, we would go back here for sure !

    Thomas2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The room was tiny like the ad said but great! The bed was super comfortable. The area was great. Having access to the kitchen was a plus! Pat was very communicative. Would stay again.

    Manny2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We would definitely NOT recommend this Airbnb because... 1) the room is way too small, even for one person traveling with luggage 2) the bed is highly uncomfortable, it is hard too get a good sleep in it 3) you can't get sunlight, since the "window" directly points at a neighboring wall, only centimeters away. On top it's damaged, so you can't get fresh air unless you leave your door open... 4) ... which is not advisable since you share the apartment with multiple other airbnb guests (live in other, more comfortable rooms) 5) although it was mostly quite during the night hours, you could still hear the other guests, even with all doors closed 6) the bathrooms were not clean and did not seem to be taken care of frequently 7) the fridge was disgusting since there were left overs of some food leakage on the inside, already starting to mold. Food storage more or less impossible!

    Stephan2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The room is small as advertised but certainly fulfilled my needs. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were great. There was a problem with the entry codes on arrival, but that was quickly sorted. Fantastic location with a short light rail ride into the heart of town. Would stay again.

  • Very nice home, not the one shown in pictures but actually nicer. We had difficulties finding the home and with the door code. Very clean as well since the maid came often. Bathrooms were also very clean and looked recently remodeled.

  • My stay at Tony's place was good. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't see Tony but we communicate by text and he help us with everything. His manager Lloyd was nice and really helpful.

    Daniela2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Tony was great at being responsive to questions I had. I didn't have much time to really meet him, but he was able to walk us (my boyfriend and I) to our room and show us around. The room was clean and looks exactly like the picture, except for the rug wasn't there (I prefer wooden floors anyway). The neighborhood was a perfect location to explore.

    Dawn2015-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I enjoyed our stay in this very interesting area. The place was nice and cozy. What we loved the most was that downtown and bus stops were within walking distance and it was easy to get around. Also, the place is surrounded by good places to eat! The only thing is that since the owners of the building are still constructing, the floors were not clean enough. But like I said they're working on improving their place. I would say that in a few more months this place would look even better. We also loved that the owners made themselves available if we ever needed something; it shows they care!

    Bets2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and Lloyd were very helpful. They got us to the place and helped us find parking with ease. Lloyd was very accommodating, holding our luggage and making sure we had everything we need. The price was good. It was a simple room with a shared bathroom and several other rooms on a couple floors of the building...kind of like a very basic, airbnb motel actually. A little chilly at first, but plenty warm at night. The location is good...we were able to walk to Chinatown, Market st. and other good spots. The walk down to Market on Hydes is a bit sketchy (i.e. homeless, druggies, etc.) but we made it through with no incident....just wouldn't want to make that walk on your own probably. For about $100 a night I'd recommend it as a budget spot if your not able to find a similar priced hotel in the same area, which is difficult.

    Matt2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time in the city thanks to Tony. Simple check in and check out, would do it again in a heartbeat.

    Brendan2015-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice&clean room. The shared bathroom is also very clean. The stairs&corridors are really quite! The neighbourhood is a little bit screamy with all the homeless people but the building is really safe.

  • I can highly recommend Victor's place if you want easy acces to San Francisco and need a place to stay for a couple of nights. You just have to know that you are going to share a house with more than 6 bedrooms and there are just 2 Bathrooms for everybody. Be prepared to wait for your turn. Even though a lot of people were staying in the house it was always clean and the level of noise was surprisingly low. Victor was so kind as to let us store our luggage on check-out day in the apartment until we left town with the bus. All in all we had a great time and are glad to have stayed in the apartment.

  • Clean room and great location to Bart train. Bathrooms are limited so if you need lots of bathroom time, probably not recommended for you.

    Monica2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, and very close to the BART station. Everything was clean and orderly and sharing a common bathroom was not a problem. Only problem was that we were not made aware of the WiFi being down until arrival. It would have been nice to let visitors know just in case. It came back online only after we left. Otherwise, great host and home. Thank you.

    David2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Basic, clean, comfortable accommodation close to BART. We chose this spot for its convenient location and reasonable price. Check in and arrival were smooth. The room was spacious, with bed, cabinets, and a desk. There are a number of bedrooms with a common kitchen and living room and two bathrooms. The house is spotlessly clean. There aren't many frills, and the house doesn't feel terribly unique or quirky. But the proximity to BART, cleanliness, and reasonable price make the place a great value.

  • This is a great place to stay in San Francisco. It is quiet, clean and tastefully decorated. The location is close to bus lines making it easy for us to leave our car at home. We love to walk and we could catch a bus that could get us anywhere in the city in a half hour or less. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store. We would definitely stay here again. George is a great host. His directions to get to apartment were excellent and he met us on time and answered all our questions. We had a fantastic week in San Francisco.

    Ann2012-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the final six nights of our honeymoon at George's studio apartment, and were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfy, and after more than a week in hotels and B&Bs it was great having some space to ourselves and a kitchen to cook our own meals in (no hob or oven, but it does have microwave, grill, fridge, and coffee master). The area is residential and very quiet, but a short walk from plenty of shops and bars on the Haight, and on Divisadero Street. Golden Gate Park is also within walking distance, and downtown SF is a 15 minute bus ride away. We would happily stay there again.

  • My wife's sister and her husband were visiting from Brazil. Our Richmond District flat wasn't big enough to comfortably accommodate them so we wanted a place in the neighborhood. George's place came up on AirBnB and we liked the way it looked. The space (an in-law unit) was very nice and clean with a backyard patio just off the back door to the unit. The main entrance is through the garage in the front. It was perfect and George was very accommodating. We recommend his place right next to the Golden Gate Park Panhandle in the NOPA district....also a short walk Haight Ashbury and much more.

    Michael2012-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience, and because of George it certainly won't be my last! This studio apartment was very clean and comfortable. It is located in a very nice neighborhood, and within walking distance to several restaurants. George was welcoming, and left very detailed instructions for our stay in the studio which made things very easy for us. The studio is just the right size, and I can honestly say that I look forward to booking this studio for my next San Francisco trip!

  • On arrival in San Francisco we were happy to find an all new and very neat and clean studio, furnished with an eye for detail, cosy and well equipped with anything you might need. It’s in a very pretty victorian house at a great location right in the middle of everything in SF. We met George as a very friendly an helpful person, who amazed us not only by preparing the studio for us with fresh flowers and such. He gave us advice on the surroundings and eventually proved to be a true detective and our knight in shining armor when we forgot our passports at his place :) Thanks for everything! We had a good time at George’s studio and recommend it to any SF visitor!! :)

Hi, here I am sharing my not too big 1br apartment with Airbnb guests. It is going great so far but I thought I should put down a few notes in here. - Yes, I live in this apartment too but I close my room's door and my guests have super private, their own studio apartment. - I am almost never home, leave early in the morning and come back late at night. - One rule very important to me, "NO SHOES" please.
This is a living room area turned into a bedroom. Guests will have their own space, divided by room dividers. - I have 2 beds One Queen/One Twin. Twin bed opens up to a King for 4 people's stay. - Queen bed is a little more private comparing to Twin/King because of the room dividers. You will wake up to great views of San Francisco, I promise. Full privacy, I might not even be home during your stay since I stay at my cousin's pretty often.
    - This apartment is super centrally located. You are literally in the middle of the city. - Get groceries at Safeway or the Farmer's market on Saturdays, and breakfast at cafes just steps away. - There is lots of free parking on the street right in front of the building. I help my guests with parking if they need to.

  • Tolgay's apartment is a very good option to stay in SF. It is located outside the noisy city center, which I great. The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The apartment has everything that is needed to have a great stay. Tolgay is a very nice guy. He asked me several times of I needed anything. I would certainly stay here again.

This spacious guest space has all the cosy comforts! Victorian bones with contemporary flair: internet, extra beds, 1/2 bath, eat in kitchen. I live right upstairs so i am always available to assist or sort out your needs. Yet a separate entry makes it your own private home away from home. Central location close to Muni & BART, yet tucked away on a quiet alley. Lively Hayes Valley just steps away.
Built in 1894, this generous space is an SF original. Perfect for an extended stay in San Francisco, this flat is your own one bedroom furnished rental with cable, internet access, a desk for working, full kitchen, and extra beds. We have what you need to make yourself comfortable in your new home away from home!
With Hayes Valley as your base, you are close to cultural events, fun shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to Hayes Street, Symphony Hall, Civic Center, SFJazz, etc. This central neighborhood has several delicious cups of coffee near by (Blue Bottle just to name one) and yet my little street is quiet and cozy at the end of the day. If you are here for work, the tech corridor is an easy walk away.
  • Donna contacted us to arrange a meeting when we first arrived. She showed us the apartment and a book with all kinds of helpful information on stores, restaurants and maps of the neighborhood. She left us a welcome basket with coffee, juice and food for the next morning. The apartment was just as we expected from the listing and it was perfect for us. We loved being in that neighborhood and felt very comfortable there. We could not have been happier or more satisfied with our experience.can't think

    Amanda2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the location of Donna's flat. Handy for buses downtown and to Golden Gate park, local restaurants, and the Wholefood shop. The flat had everything we needed, was spacious and full of character. We only met Donna briefly as she was away when we arrived but everything went smoothly.

    Lucie2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay en SF! The apartment is perfect. It's very well located, but on a small street so you're blocks away from Haight St. but you have a very silent and pleasant sleep at night. Couldn't have asked for more for our 2 day stay en SF with my brother. Donna is also very attentive and always eager to help and make you feel at home. Absolutely recommended.

  • Our two week stay in Donna's apartment was great! The apartment is extremely comfortable and has everything you could need. We where a little worried about getting around, but we shouldn't have been, it was super easy to get anywhere in the city with plenty of great places to eat nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

    Sam2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome hostess. Place was in a great location and price. Highly recommended.

    Robert2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's place on Lily Street is absolutely perfect for a stay in San Francisco. The unit is just as described. It is spacious and super clean. The kitchen is very very well-equipped, with a full complement of glassware, dishes and cookware. The welcome basket was a loverly treat upon arrival! The second bed is an air mattress, and the living room has ample space if use of the air bed is required. Having the second bathroom is also a luxury not often found in an AirBnB rental. The neighbourhood (Hayes Valley) is lovely. Some excellent coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The shopping is also great, and very hip/modern. In general the neighbourhood is young, affluent and safe. Haight/Ashbury, the Mission and the Castro are all within walkable distances (for most people). Transit access isn't too far either. Donna was a very friendly host, and very easy to keep in touch with. She will definitely make you feel welcome. I can't wait to visit SF again and stay here!

This is an entire one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Hayes Valley. It is a goldmine - located centrally near Civic Center, public transit, shops, and restaurants. Nearby bus lines include the 21. There's street parking but beware of signs as there may be restrictions. My home is very comfortable and clean. It is family friendly, with a full kitchen, a bed, and couch. Washer/dryer onsite. Apartment is on the 2nd floor. As your host, I am readily available over email/phone. Contact me anytime

Sunny, rooftop studio comfortably sleeps 1-2 guests in Noe/Glen Park. 1 queen bed, 1 bath, kitchen, & living space. Located on a quiet street, less than a block from main transit, with amazing restaurants, bars, grocers, & spectacular 360 city views.
The space is located in beautiful, quiet, and accessible Noe Valley (on the edge of Glen Park). Meant for 1-2 guests (Queen bed) looking for a calm, neighborhood experience in SF. The space has an "at home feeling," views from inside, and outside on the decks are spectacular. (Check out our reviews and photos) The other residents inside our building/house are kind, respectful, trustworthy, and welcoming and expect the same from our guests. Noe Valley/Glen Park has some of the best eats, parks, transportation and general walkability. Inside the Guidebook you will find our favorite places and suggestions to visit or discover during your stay. **TRANSPORTION** The studio is located 1 min (walking) to the main train line which will take you directly downtown (J Church Muni train, the stop is at the northeast corner of 30th & Church St. in front of XO Cafe). Located at the same stop is the 24 bus which goes from Bayview to the Marina/Presidio. Just a short walk to Mission St., you have multiple bus lines including the 14 & 14L Mission Bus that will also take you through the Mission to Downtown. All company transit buses are located near by right around the corner and right around the corner. If you need to stay a little longer on day of check-out, it is likely we will not be able to accommodate any requests outside of the strict checkin of 3p or after 11a during checkout. We likely have another guest coming or going immediately before, so please be aware we do not allow guests to store their belongings before or after their stay is complete. **NO SMOKING, PERIOD** No smoking cigarettes inside or outside on the decks please. Period. NO exceptions. **PARKING** Since this is a residential area, and the studio is located just off a few main streets, you shouldn't have trouble finding street parking close by (no trouble for any one thus far). Some reviews state that we allowed guests to park in our spot, but that is only during special occasions when we are out of the city, which is very rare. Please read the street sign that describe the street cleaning schedule. Each side of the road is different. You will receive a ticket if your vehicle is parked during the few hours in which they clean the streets. Please let the hosts know if you have any questions about parking and/or street cleaning. **DECK HOURS** Please do not have loud conversations out on the deck. The wind carries voices into other homes very easily. Any conversations on the deck should end at 9p, at the latest. Please use your best judgement here. Airbnb now allows for neighbors to complain about guests. We do not want to ever have a problem with out guests distributing our wonderfully quiet neighborhood. **NO VISITORS ALLOWED** Please do not have any visitors inside our building or inside our home. Period. We must be respectful to our neighbors inside the building. No one is allowed to help you with your luggage or to come see the views. The views are for you and you only. Additionally, Airbnb only insures guests who have booked with us, so absolutely no other person should step foot inside the building for any reason. Please feel free to ask questions and we will responded within the hour. We look forward to hosting you!
Authentic San Francisco experience in one of the best neighborhoods. Check our reviews about the space and views from your private decks. Yes, two amazing decks and 360 city views inside and out of the studio with beautiful natural light throughout.
  • Nice, clean, cute with great view in a quiet area. Good internet. Great and responsive host. We will come back.

  • The place was gorgeous. Stayed here for work and could not believe the beautiful views from rooftop. Cliff was an excellent host and quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

    Antonella2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cliff was very helpful and easily reached! Getting into the place is convenient! We absolutely loved the views and the place was very clean and had everything we needed! Thanks so much for a great place to stay in the city!

    Corey2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with an amazing view

    Kelly2017-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was as described. Cliff communicated well with us and was very accommodating. Having coffee and tea for guests was a nice touch. The real draw of this property is the outside decking area, which we managed to use both in the day and evening.

    Gillian2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place was great. Arrival & check-in were smooth, the studio was spotless and Cliff was very responsive and accommodating.

    Lucas2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Cliff's place. It was perfect for our week of attending a local graduation. Positives: location - super centrally located and easy to get to parts of the city. Parking - never had an issue (though we're from seattle which sucks). Coffee - we live on coffee and they provided creamer. Opportunities: cleanliness - - we found lots of hair that was obviously not our own, but it was in a corner. Amenities - coffee was provided, shower essentials and kitchen utensils....but the stove wasn't superb. Nor was bedding the best, definitely didn't hold up for a week comfort wise. All in all had way worse hotel experiences but I'd pause before re-boojing given other options.

    Alex2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The whole checkin/checkout process was so smooth and easy. My husband and I felt relaxed and comfortable at Cliff and Colleen's place. It was so clean, cozy with incredible views of the city from a spacious deck! There is also another smaller deck on the other side of the room, so if you have the shades open the room feels huge! The location is also great -- just a short walk down the block to the J that takes you all the way to FiDi (30mins) and with really cute places to eat. Mission St is nearby as well where all the good tacquerias are and there is a supermarket and walgreens in walking distance. Cliff was also so gracious to answer ALL my questions! We hope to stop by again!

One BR apartment in the Tendernob . Walking distance to Tenderloin, Nob Hill, Civic Center, Hayes Valley, downtown! Living room, wifi, satellite TV. Spacious closet just for you. Bathroom with clawfoot bathtub/shower. Couch folds down flat to sleep 1 extra person. Efficient, full kitchen. The Tendernob is a bustling area of 'The City'. Take a moment to ensure it fits your vacation wants and if you have questions we are just a message away! Cheers.
We've kept the decor simple and clean - hardwood floors, and a cozy set-up. The kitchen allows meals to be prepared to save a buck or two. The building was built in 1907 and has character. We consider our home a mix of modern amenities with 110 years of history! Inward facing apartment: windows to allow natural light, but no special views of the city.
Tendernob: borders the Tenderloin & Nob Hill. It's fantastic, urban, and alive with character. After having numerous guests it has helped us to understand that our location is suited well for an adventurous spirit, those who have done some traveling, or those that are familiar with a city setting , though we like to welcome everyone from all walks of life! Our apartment is located in a very eclectic neighborhood - walk out and turn left and you're headed towards the beautiful Civic Center area. Walk out and turn right and you're headed into the colorful Tenderloin district (you'll go home with stories!). Half a block away starts Polk Street, a bustling hot spot of bars and restaurants. Directly across the street from the front door of the building is the 38 Bus - hop on that and you can get anywhere you need to be. The location is central enough that you can walk to Powell/Market Street (the main shopping district) in 15 minutes, Civic Center in 7 minutes, Chinatown in 20 minutes, Fisherman's Wharf in 30 minutes. A cab or an Uber ride will get you anywhere in under 10 minutes!
  • The apartment was great for the three of us. The beds were comfy, there was a lot of storage space, and the apartment was conveniently located for getting to Union Square and sight-seeing around the city. The kitchen was a bit small, but it was fine for our needs for the week. Robin had a nice booklet of information for visitors, making it easier to navigate the neighborhood and settle into the apartment.

    Gina2015-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great apartment/location if you want to experience the 'real' San Francisco, away from the tourists. Lots of lively bars & restaurants close by with many 'interesting' people on the streets. Definitely not family friendly though & I wouldn't recommend this location if homeless & drug affected people upset you. The apartment itself has everything you need & Jamie & Robin are very attentive hosts who readily respond to any questions or issues. They also conveniently allowed us to check our luggage in early which made our first day in San Fran much more relaxing.

    Catherine2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and Robin and Jamie perfect hosts, accommodating and committed to resolving any issues.

    Jen2016-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Robin and Jamie are excellent hosts, and the apartment was so clean and comfortable. We had no problems with the check in/check out process, and the location was excellent for walking to nearby attractions or catching a quick Uber. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an affordable and convenient airbnb experience in beautiful San Francisco.

    Matt2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • For our first 3 nights in SF, we really enjoyed Robin's place! The location is great, allowing to visit SF without a car. Everything was clean and the key was easy to get.

    Benoît2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location couldn't have been more convenient to our needs. We walked to Chinatown, Japantown, Polk Gulch, Union Square -- it was all easy to get to on foot. Ubers were readily available. The apartment looked as pictured. A word of warning: the walls are quite thin. We heard the barking of dogs in other units and the conversations of other tenants at all hours. Still well worth it for the great value and location, but consider bringing ear plugs. :)

  • Really great place, easy communication with Jamie who is lovely and let us leave our bags early which was a great help :) great nights sleep too, super comfy

  • Good location

    2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our relatively short stay (1 night) was nice. Every thing was in proper working order. Convenient neighborhood to walk to surrounding areas that are busier.

    Benny2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Do not stay here!!! My fiancé and I checked out within 20 minutes of arriving! The room was not cleaned properly, comforter was visibly soiled, fridge had mold/grime on it, floor was damp with musty smell, and the room was smoky with some other interesting smells...I get this is Ca and pot is legal but not all of us want to walk into the smell of a party the night before! There seemed to be a lot of people coming in and out if the parking lot which was a bit sketchy. Also I can't believe the cost for this room. I wish we could have got our money back but we ate the cost for our two nights and left!!!!
