We live in an 1895 Victorian top flat with 12 foot ceilings on the best block in San Francisco. Our calendar is always up to date. Location Location Location~ Our home is close to the Mission, Lower Haight, and 2.5 blocks from the Castro theater. The underground is 3 blocks away, with a street car even closer. The room is small and cosy, but a great price for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US! Please fill out your profile if you are interested~and make sure to arrange a time to meet prior to your arrival, I lead a busy lifestyle, work full time, and wouldn't want to miss anyone! Check in is at 5 and we are 37 steps up from street level. Please go light on perfume and cologne - we are allergic. Restaurants are plentiful and beautiful Dolores Park is quite close. Your room has a twin day bed 75 inches long with a desk and a solid door. The room is 9.25 feet by 8 feet. Amenities include wireless and a gorgeous full kitchen. We have one cat that enjoys company almost as much as we do and a sweet rescue pooch. Our flat gets more light than any other home I've been to in my 13 years of living in this great town. For all you foodies out there BiRite Creamery, Tartine, Delfina's Pizza and Proper are within 4.5 blocks of our front door. Michelin rated Range is just a few farther. As much as we love bikes, and we do, we don't have space for storage. If you rent one please return it at the end of the day or lock up on the street at your own risk. Please ask if you would like to have a friend for a short visit.
  • Brenda's place is gorgeous and ideally located. I had a fantastic time there and Brenda is a great host. Would definitely stay there again!

  • Brenda was a great host with a very clean and comfortable accommodation. The location was very convenient (with the F/J Trains nearby and the BART an easy walk away). The hood is great. Brenda was very welcoming and helpful and the animals are sweethearts.

  • This was a super short trip, but Brenda's space and hosting was great. This location is ideal for amazing food, places to hang out, shopping, and transit to every possible sightseeing spot you could want to see! Brenda herself is welcoming, full of info and good advice for how to get places and what to see, and a great person to chat with at the end of a long day of wandering. I would happily stay there again in the future as it was entirely comfortable and the perfect homebase for my trip.

    Clarice2011-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying with Brenda & Gates! My room was cozy & immaculately clean and the location could not be better. I had everything I needed and loved breakfasting and working in the huge sunny kitchen. The high quality linens and big fluffy towels were a great bonus.

  • This was my first time using Air BnB and Brenda gave me a great first experience. She was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, providing me with lots of useful info on the local area. As the name suggests, the apartment is perfectly located, surrounded by excellent cafes, restaurants and bars and just a short walk to the Muni Metro for easy access to downtown. The room was perfect for my needs and I slept well every night. I would definitely use Air BnB again and highly recommend Brenda and her apartment.

    Brian2013-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda was a great host. The room was clean, the location of the apartment is really great - near to the city center with lots of public transport nearby. Also great and spacious kitchen and living room.

  • Brenda was a great host and really helpful with suggestions for what to do and where to eat. Her neighbourhood is only a few blocks from the 16th St BART station, safe, easy to walk around and, best of all, really has that SF feel to it. She lent me a set of City Walk cards which were great for exploring the Castro and surrounding neighbourhoods - from beautiful murals and incredible tacos in the Mission district to the village feel of Noe Valley. The room and flat were comfortable and clean, and her dog and cats were always friendly company. All in all this is a great place to stay if you're coming to SF!

    Imee2010-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Brenda is the ultimate San Francisco experience! I stayed with Brenda last year, this year, and will stay here everytime I visit SF. Brenda is kind, funny, and goes out of her way to help you out and make you feel at home, as well as finding the best places to go! The location is perfect, on a quiet street round the corner from the Castro, and a few blocks from the resturants and bars at Valencia and 16th. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great time in San Francisco!

  • Lovely and quaint studio, exactly like in the picture. Safe and quiet neighborhood. If you are looking for space and privacy, this is the place to rent. I was very pleased with my stay.

  • We enjoyed our stay with Mike and Nic. Everything was as described and the studio was large and comfortable. Checkin and checkout was simple and easy whilst Mike was always available for any matter. Wifi was excellent and the large desk very useful. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette serviceable. Bernal Heights is a very nice area, with restaurants and a supermarket, with easy access to the city. The 24 bus to Castro should be a tourist treasure! This is an excellent Airbnb property.

    Trevor2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Nic were great. Easy to communicate with and very nice. Their place was just as beautiful as the pictures. The neighborhood was cute and had many shops and dining options within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Rebecca2013-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoy staying there. It's spacious and quite and located in a nice neighborhood. Mike and Nic are nice and helpful.

  • We loved SF. Keep in mind this is one large room, so if privacy is an issue, it probably wont work for you, it was not for us. The space has lots of character, we enjoyed the location.

    Julie2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • the place was super cozy and very clean and well kept. The shower was amazing and had a heat lamp! Mike and Nic left treats for us and made our stay so lovely. Highly recommend!

One bedroom sanctuary with a beautiful garden view and cozy fireplace. Comes with it's own entrance just steps from bus lines, train and all that Haight Street has to offer. Complete privacy with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast bar.
If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.
You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.
  • Sara's apartment is great! Very confortable and clean, i was feeling like home. Location is great for visiting golden gate park (walking distance) and very calm and safe. Sara was very nice and flexible. Go for it!

    Anna2014-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's place is the best...and our favorite thing about her place is her dog Boo....she will come down and say hello, hang out and if you have a treat she will be your best friend.... The location is perfect.... in walking distances to all the fun places, parks and restaurants. Two blocks from Height Street her place is private, relaxing and has a feeling of home...

  • My stay at Sara's Garden Retreat was my first time to San Francisco and it could not have been more perfect! My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Sara was very welcoming of us bringing our fur-baby with us as well. The unit looked exactly as it did in the pictures and was very clean and beautiful. The coffee maker, Nespresso machine and the stocked fridge was beyond wonderful and appreciated. Our first night there, we walked less than 10 minutes to dinner and enjoyed the eclectic neighborhood. Sara was so kind to leave a binder full of suggestions for food, drinks and activities. She was always available for any of our needs and made sure our stay was perfect. I would recommend her home to anyone visiting SF! We had such an amazing anniversary trip. Thanks Sara!

  • A total gem. We loved everything. Fantastic neighborhood, quiet and comfortable space, friendly host. It was perfect. So glad we chose this place to stay. It really made our trip.

    Krista2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Sara is helpful and attentive. We enjoyed being in a local area with beautiful architecture and very close to everything you'd like to visit. The space is very cozy and quaint. Absolutely would recommend and would book again!!!

    Jacqueline2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • "If you're going to San Francisco..." Presuming you are of a certain age, you'll recognize those lyrics. And if you have a hankering to stay in the beautiful Haight district, you'll do well to consider staying in this ground level apartment with a handsome backyard patio overflowing with vegetation. Conveniently located near bus and train lines, as well as the sprawling Golden Gate Park, this apartment offers quiet and comfortable solitude only a couple blocks away from lively Haight Street. Cole Vally is nearby, offering a great breakfast and brunch restaurant, upscale cheese and wine shops, and an awesome ice cream bar sporting a decor straight out of Archie comics. We were in the city both for business and pleasure, and did a lot of traveling around town and the Bay Area generally. It was always a pleasure to return in the evening to the sedate comforts of this Airbnb. Also, our host was highly responsive to our queries and flexible too. Highly recommend.

    John2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in Sara's flat the night before my wedding and couldn't have asked for a better place. The space is exactly as pictured, great energy, beautifully decorated, contemporary rustic, plenty of natural light flooding the space. Living rooms is super cozy with the fireplace. Space was immaculate, bed was warm and comfy. No kitchen, but there's a coffee maker, mini fridge and toaster. Sarah left some milk, OJ and beer which was a nice welcoming touch. Walking distance to downtown Cole Valley where you can find some nice restaurants and bars. Even a cheese shop if you want to bring wine & cheese to enjoy back at the pad. About a 10-15 min walk to Golden Gate park. If you're lucky, Sara's dog Boo might wander down to keep you company. He's the sweetest ever. He hung out with me and lounged outside peacefully while i was getting make-up done. Definitely a highlight of my morning. Only thing was wifi was a little patchy in the living space, but better in the bedroom. Ultimately a wonderful stay and would LOVE to come back. Thanks Sara!!

  • Sara went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Her communication was great and she provided us with great information and recommendations. The house was extremely tranquil, cozy, and clean...even better than it looks in the pictures. While in the backyard/garden, we almost forgot we were in the city. The neighborhood was perfect for us with easy access to shops, restaurants, parks, historical spots, and transportation. We felt very safe and secure the whole time. Hope we can make it back soon!!!

Private entry, sidewalk-level suite of living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath with artful touches in 1911 Edwardian. Close to beaches, GGate Park, GGate Bridge, groceries, cafes, restaurants on city-wide trolly line for memorable vacation/business/retreat. Easy drive to Marin.
The private sidewalk level suite, is clean and comfortable with original windows and doors providing natural light and fresh air. It's San Francisco living so you can be sure to hear the sounds of a trolley passing by and footsteps from people in the flat above. SF STR permit number (4 zeroes) 949
We live in a friendly neighborhood with cafes and restaurants, and are perfectly situated to walk or take local transportation to nearby visit museums. Step out the yellow door and there are walks through wooded trails to Baker Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge, Land's End, and Ocean Beach -- to the Legion of Honor Museum in Lincoln Park, the DeYoung Museum and/or the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, with its lakes and beautiful gardens of the Arboretum. If you prefer to sidewalk explore, it's fun to walk down Clement Street from 25th Avenue to Arguello, stopping in at the pubs and Chinese restaurants (little Chinatown) -- head a bit further to Fillmore Street, or take the full journey on the California 1 trolley (electric bus) - 7 miles to the Ferry Building (about a 2 hour walk) through the distinctly different neighborhoods that make San Francisco such a great place to visit and live. If you are looking for a movie and dinner -- Pizetta 211 and the Four Star Theater are just around the corner. There's something for everyone.
  • Dennis was a fantastic host! The listing was very cute and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for. Dennis was very accommodating to my girlfriends and I! We had a few changes in our plan and we had a few house key mishaps and Dennis was very polite and forgiving:) Dennis and wife gave us our space, which was nice:) The location of the listing was great...very safe and quiet! And a quick Uber or Lyft ride away from all the shopping and attractions. I would definitely recommend this listing to others!

    Kenzie2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was great, the only thing was you can hear people in the upper apartment so if you're a light sleeper it is hard getting to sleep.

    Rikki2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a good experience. We didn't spend time in the apartment besides sleeping there, but the neighborhood is really cute and located near some great beach and hiking spots. Mostly residential. The apartment is well decorated and charming. Nancy and Dennis were very friendly and accommodating to meet us a little early for the key exchange. I didn't realize from the listing that it was a converted basement, so I'd just recommend that be made clearer in the description. We could hear footsteps and light noise above us, so it may not be ideal for a light sleeper.

    Courtney2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Dennis's apartment. The location is great, quiet, safe neighborhood and there is a laundromat, cafe and mini grocery store conveniently located two steps away :). We were able to take the bus that passes right in front of the apartment all the way to Fisherman's wharf, public transportations is awesome :) The apartment is clean and comfy. The kitchen has everything you might need if you decide to stay and eat in. My 5 month old and I had no problem sleeping, however my husband, who is a light sleeper had a hard time getting to sleep as you can clearly hear the footsteps of the people walking upstairs. We know that nothing can be done to remedy this, as this is the way the houses are built, just a heads up if you have trouble sleeping! Other than that, I totally recommend staying here! I didn't get to meet Dennis, but my husband did and I hear he is very nice and welcoming and he answered my emails very quick :)

    Stephanie2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis' place was perfect! Its was me and my fiance's first Airbnb on our two week California trip and it was by far the best! His place is in a great location, just a few blocks away from Baker beach, and lands end hiking trail where there is an amazing view of the Golden state bridge. Dennis was a great host and was helpful with giving us tips on what sites to see and great places to eat. We highly recommend this Airbnb !

    George2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't get the chance to meet Dennis but we had a nice 3 days stay at his place. The appartment is very clean, well equipped and located in a quiet neighbourhood from walking distance to Baker Beach and close to the Presidio and the Golden Gate bridge. You can easily catch the bus to go downtown (line 1) at the corner of the street. The only thing you have to be aware of is that it is in a basement so it can be pretty dark and cold but there are heating blankets on the bed to keep you warm. You can also hear footsteps and voices coming from above but never too late or too early. The ceiling is pretty low so I won't recommand it for tall people.

    Marie2016-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Stay here!!! I adored this home. Incredibly tastefully decorated and so inviting. This was one of my favorite AirBnB experiences. The neighborhood is lovely and in a great location in the City. Also, Dennis the host was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

    Sarah2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this apartment is so charming and well thought through. Very nicely furnished in a way which makes it feel like home straight away. Everything is really nice to look at but also really good to live in. Having quality shampoo, soap and towels was really nice as well as the lovely art and nice furniture. The bathroom suite and kitchen sink are also good quality which makes a big difference. The bedroom is lovely and quiet too. The area is nice and clean. Enjoyed walking down to Baker beach which has an amazing view of the bridge and eating at the excellent Pizetta 211 across the road. Getting into town is really easy as the number one bust runs from the nearest corner and can get you pretty much anywhere with 0-1 changes. Would highly recommend a trip to the de Young museum which is very close by for the art and also for the building. Great place to stay, highly recommended.

  • The listing was located in the cool, hip area of San Francisco with many restaurants and shops around. Perfect place to live like a local. The room was modern and cozy with a beautiful bathroom. The entire building was warm and we felt so relieved every time we came back to the listing from outside. Jeff and Mike were very attentive and we would love to stay here again! The building is facing the big street so it get bit noisy in the morning with all the cars passing by. But if you have ear plugs, no problem!

    Yuri2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • My 2nd time staying in this fab locations! EVERY thing is perfect! Just like a hotel room without being a hotel room! Close to cute bars and restaurants. Like most spots in SF the bedroom is on the 2nd floor so there are some stairs. I cannot wait to stay again

    Julia2017-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey was very nice and met me with a smile when I arrived at the listing. He was very helpful with recommendations for food and fare in the area. The property was well located in SF, clean and very inviting. Thanks!

    greg2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time - Thanks again! :) The apartment has a great style and you find everything you need. Jeff was a great host - very welcoming and offered a lot of advice. The area around was nice, too, with good food and public transport around the corner. Parking was rather hard to find or / and expensive. We would definitely come back :)

    Marlen2016-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm welcome from Jeffrey. He and his husband are extremely attentive hosts. The room is large and comfortable. The area is upscale with plenty of restaurants and boutiques. Filmore let you feel that you are part of the San Francisco traditional way of life.

    Bruno2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We like Jeffrey's rooms for several reasons. He is very helpful, and understanding of our odd schedule due to our grandbaby-sitting duties up the street. We'll continue to be extremely satisfied repeat guests. Jeff and Jone

    Jeffrey2016-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to rest our heads in a most amazing neighborhood! We really loved the modern and sleek look of the space and we felt right at home in the neighborhood. Lots of things to explore right on California Street - we could have spent the whole time near the house - great restaurants and shopping right at your doorstep! Also, Jeff was a great host - he was available to us, left us instructions, and was there for us at check in and check out. Seamless - and would definitely recommend this to others.

  • Blair was fantastic at making us feel at home. Anything we needed was just a text or call away. The apartment was exactly as described and in the best location you could ask for. We walked almost everywhere with no problem.

  • Lovely, lovely place!

    Stuart2014-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Blair's place in Pacific Heights. The neighborhood is beautiful and the apartment is impeccably and beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location was fantastic - just a few (very steep) blocks to Union Street famous for it's boutiques and restaurants, or you can go up the street and walk down (the much less steep) Fillmore that is also filled with lovely boutiques and restaurants. I was so so happy to be back in the City and always love to rent an apartment when I go so I can feel like I live there again, even for just a few days, and Blair's apartment was perfect. She was a very responsive, easy-going and helpful host. Would definitely stay there again.

    Shastyn2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • I love Blair's apartment! It's really nice and perfectly located -close to Fillmore street filled with cute shops and cafe! The amenities were really great specifically the bed is so comfortable. Kitchen is gorgeous and nicely stock with spices etc. However note there wasn't a microwave which would have been convenient to re-heat leftover food etc. Blair was easy to reach and helpful with her recommendations on places to eat and visit in SF. Only opportunity area is the absence of closet space in the apt. If you have short stay that would be fine..but for longer stay would be nice to hang clothes etc. vs. living out of a suitcase. We would definitely recommend Blair's place to friends visiting SF!

    Mira2014-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Spent 3 lovely nights at Blair's apartment. Place is beautiful. Looks exactly like the pictures.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Blair's lovely home. The building and surrounding area is gorgeous. And the apartment is beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need inside. I never wanted to leave! Blair was very easy to communicate with and was a wonderful host. Definitely a great place to stay whenever you are in the San Francisco area.

    Paige2013-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's condo is AMAZING and even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. Great windows and light in the apartment - I especially liked eating meals in the front dining nook. The apartment is decorated to the 9's. Comfortable, chick, and welcoming. I could not say enough good things. It is the dream place to stay and the location is amazing too!

    Jill2014-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's place is AMAZING!!! She is very easy to communicate with which made the entire trip a very pleasant experience. The location of the condo is perfect! We were able to see how the locals live. Close to Union and Chestnut Streets. Blair's condo is beautiful and very clean. There is a balcony off of the living area. A great place for a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. On my next trip to San Francisco I would love to stay at Blair's place again! Cheryl and Robert

Gorgeous, modern, sunlight-soaked luxury apartment (blackout curtains and shade on bedroom windows). At the meeting point of Hayes Valley, The Mission, Lower Haight, Castro, and SoMa, you're in the middle of the best SF has to offer! New listing!
The master suite comes complete with a King size Room and Board Hudson bed with Tuft & Needle mattress, balcony patio (with love seat, ottoman, and dining table with seating for two) overlooking vibrant Market St, architect desk workstation, and en-suite full bathroom. Though this suite is best suited for two guests, it can accommodate up to four if you make use of the unit's extremely comfortable, 19" (48 cm) thick Queen size SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology (the bestselling airbed on Amazon). The unit's second bedroom, which I refer to as the guestroom to distinguish it from the master bedroom, includes a Queen size bed, floor-to-ceiling windows offering a beautiful view of vibrant Market St, and its own full, private bathroom. The space comfortably accommodates two guests, and if two people sleep on the available Queen size airbed it can even fit four. I have enough incredibly nice airbeds (I only purchase beds rated in the top 3 on everyone's favorite "Everything Store" site, Amazon) that even if you have a group of 8 people, everyone can have their own bed if they like. Please simply let me know at least a few days in advance of your arrival how many airbeds you would like in each size (Twin and Queen are available), and which area in the unit you would like each bed to be set up in. Once you have checked in you are obviously welcome to place the beds wherever you like, but when you first arrive I generally prefer to let you see the common area without any beds inflated in it. This allows you to make an informed decision about which bed arrangement would make the best use of the space there. Note: When the unit is not booked for "Entire Home" reservations, I often rent out its two bedrooms individually as "Private Room" listings on Airbnb. This "Entire Home" listing is new, so the quantity of reviews is lacking, but the "Private Room" listings (which are, in fact, for the two individual bedrooms and common areas that make up the "Entire Home" unit) have existed long enough to be reviewed by numerous guests. Accordingly, if you would like to read more reviews of my unit than are currently available in this "Entire Home" listing, please check out the many reviews on my two other listings. As you'll see in the amenities listed below, the space has been set up with the goal of providing access to everything you could possibly want to enjoy SF to the fullest. Whether you are visiting from around the globe or around the corner, your stay will offer the perfect blend of home and hotel. 1500 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets, stainless steel fixtures and appliances, and granite counter tops are just the start. Additional amenities include: - Clipper public transit card(s), used to conveniently pay fare on any of the Bay Area's public transit systems* - International power adapter/voltage converter (Travel Smart By Conair Adapter/Converter Combo with Surge Protection)* - Secure, key-access to the individual bedrooms - Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (toothpaste, lotion, sunscreen, sleep masks, and other convenience items also available upon request) - If you would like a guaranteed, convenient, and secure parking spot during your stay to avoid the unpredictable availability, 2 hour time limits, street cleaning, and security issues of street parking, I rent a space in my complex's on-site parking garage and make it available to guests for $25/night. This is below the average rate for garages in the area, and allows you to drive in and out whenever you like (this is extremely rare, and expensive, at San Francisco garages). Also, please note that the check-in/out times for parking are the same as for the listing. If you are interested in using the spot for a period longer or shorter than your reservation, this can also often be arranged as well. If you are interested in using the space before, after, or during your stay, please contact me as soon as you are able so I can check the spot's availability and provide further information. IMPORTANT: Please let me know the make and model of the car you would like to park as soon as you are able, so that I can make sure it will fit in the parking lift system. NEW: Parking is now FREE for groups of 4 or more who have booked one of the Private Room listings and groups of 6 or more who have booked the Entire Home listing. - Safeway and Whole Foods grocery stores 1 block away - Cooking utensils, glassware, flatware, dinnerware, microwave, oven, refrigerator - Dishwasher - WiFi reaching a blazing 90 Mbps download speed, 90 Mbps upload speed - In-unit washer/dryer, with detergent. Iron and ironing board! - Clothing steamer* - Multi-outlet surge protector, multiple wall power outlets - Umbrellas. You need 'em? I have 'em.* - Chrome garment rack, including hangers and hanging shelves - 24/7 Fitness Center (see pictures) - Roof Terrace and adjacent Sky Lounge (see pictures) - 60" plasma TV (in living room) - Netflix - Hulu Plus - Chromecast (using your smartphone or the guest smartphone, cast Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc. to the living and bedroom room TVs) - Costco access (Members-only national chain of warehouse stores, selling groceries/electronics/consumer goods/dining and entertainment gift certificates at incredible discounts)* - Heavily discounted ski resort lift tickets for Kirkwood, Mammoth Mountain, Big Bear Mountain, Bear Valley, China Peak, Homewood Mountain, Mt. Rose (Inquire for details)* - Numerous Zipcars available for rental within a 2 block radius - Lap desk* - Your own cabinet and refrigerator space for food/beverages* - Extra bed (deluxe Queen size airbed)* - Ggl Cardboard *Indicates an amenity that is available upon request. Unless otherwise indicated, these amenities are free for the duration of your stay (Charges apply if not returned at check-out, or if damaged). Please inquire in advance for additional information, to confirm availability, and to reserve.
The neighborhood puts you at the center of what makes the city truly great. With countless only-in-SF-type bars, restaurants, and performance venues right outside, you'd have to try pretty hard not to find a good time any night of the week.
  • Great place - perfect location - great communication from Jack! Would recommend to anyone staying in the city.

  • Adam's place was perfect for our weekend in San Francisco. It was rainy, but the light, open design of his place made it a great place to hang out. Very clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. We had our 5-month old with us, which worked well, but if your kid is moving it's prob not the best spot. Great coffee shop and restaurant on the corner, and overall central location. We'd definitely stay here again!

    Angeli2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Great location, very clean and comfortable, and Adam was a really friendly and responsive host. We had a great time, wish we had stayed for longer!

Spacious, sunny, remodeled flat full kitchen, living room, laundry, and shared patio. 3 BEDROOMS with double beds, full bathroom and kitchen. Our flat is quiet & peaceful yet in middle of all you want to see & do. Family & pet friendly! Come share our home! NB: Price varies w/ demand
We love to share our home with guests! Since we travel a lot, we know how important it is to feel at home even when in a new city, so settle in to your home away from home! Our spacious, sunny flat has 3 BEDROOMS with double beds, full bathroom and kitchen, living room, laundry, and shared patio. Our home is the second floor flat (apartment) of two-story house recently remodeled with new appliances, furniture. Direct access to landscaped patio that gets bright afternoon sun (shared with downstairs folks, but they hardly ever use it). Our home is private, safe, dog- and cat-friendly and we'd love to share it with you! WiFi. Flat screen television with ROKU to play Netflix, etc. Local t.v. only, no cable.
The Mission has it all! Our home is in the middle of a vibrant, diverse neighborhood. From coffee shops to restaurants serving burritos, pupusas, Belgian, Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese food - the list goes on and on! From bakeries to bars to live music venues. We live at the end of a short street in the "eye of the storm," so to speak. The street is quiet and calm and my neighbors are great! The Mission is a bustling and very "urban" part of the city. As in the rest of San Francisco, some people will ask you for money, some people are homeless. These people don't tend to be violent. Mostly what happens here are crimes of opportunity - phones left out, bags unzipped, etc. So don't be scared - be aware! Here are some of the places we like best: Restaurants: Chinese - Mission Chinese on Mission St Vietnamese - Sunshine @ 16th & Valencia Indian pizza - Zante - really yummy! a bit far away @ Mission & Cortland (take the 14 or the 49 S) More cafes, coffee shops, and cool bars than I can mention! Music: The Elbow Room - rock-ish - Valencia btwn 18 + 19th Sts Blondie's - jazz-ish - on Valencia btwn 16th + 17th Sts Check out this website for local insider-y events: www JohnnyFunCheap dot com www dot Goldstar dot com for discount tickets to local events

  • We had a very nice stay at Phyllis' place. She wasn't here to welcome us but she sent very clear instructions on how to check in, where to get food and the like. The flat is big and clean and very confortable. Note that one of the bedrooms is in direct connection with the living room though, so you can here everything that happens there which can be a bit annoying if you plan to wake up at different times.

    Clément2017-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and wide appartement

    Sophie2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a beautiful apartment, in the charming yet raw Mission District. Kitchen was immaculate and living room couches were incredibly comfortable. Modern, Sleek, and clean. The only downside was having to pay for parking in the garage a couple blocks away.

    Dave2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our recent stay in Phyllis' beautiful flat was more than we could ask for. Her flat was lovely and clean, and much larger than we expected. The space had everything we needed to feel at home. The location was perfect, with many amazing restaurants and coffee shops a minute or 2 walk away. Phyllis was very helpful and communicative which made for a smooth and relaxing stay. She allowed us to drop our bags off early so we could begin to explore the city as soon as we got to town. Cheers Phyllis!

Luxury 4 bedroom 3 Bathroom Flat in the Richmond district, close to Golden Gate Park. Large open kitchen and living area all recently renovated to a very high standard. Perfect location for your stay in San Francisco.
The fully fitted kitchen has a welcome offering of coffee, teas and snacks to get you started. *Please note: There are neighbors above that start their day early, you may hear them from time to time.
Quiet residential area within easy walking distance to Golden Gate Park. Lots of local stores and restaurants just a few blocks away. Easy public transportation to many of the attractions in the city. The Inner Richmond, positioned between the Presidio and Golden Gate Park, is an under-the-radar, mainly residential neighborhood with a multicultural makeup. Clement Street’s concentration of dim sum joints has earned it the nickname New Chinatown, but casual Burmese, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants also line the blocks, along with independent shops. The area is sprinkled with a number of Russian eateries and Irish pubs.
  • This house was super spacious and super clean and just.... super. Proximity to tourist areas and important city landmarks was important during this trip, because we only had a day to explore (another day was spent in Napa), and this location met those needs. It's a 4 minute drive to Green Apple Books (which was GREAT for me ), and to many legit boba places (equally great...). Parking though, was a bit trying, but it's San Francisco, and Lisa had already told us before hand that it would be more difficult to find a parking spot later in the evening (it is a residential area... so I guess people are home). I think there was a family with little kids in the unit above us, and we could hear the kids running around in the mornings. That didn't really bother us because we had to wake up early anyway to make most of our time in the city. Just FYI for people who want to sleep in during their stay... this is something to take into consideration. But all in all, it was a wonderful place to stay.

    Bernice2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for some work colleagues. Lisa was very responsive and the checkin process was very easy. Will definitely recommend the place again the next time people visit!

  • Great unit on a nice residential street. The house is so close to Golden Gate park. We ran there and through it. Took Uber to the hot spots for cheap. Comfy beds and a lot of nice complimentary touches- full size toiletries in bathrooms, snacks, coffee and wine in the kitchen. Luxury condo for a reasonable price.

This lovely 1-bedroom suite in Cole Valley has a bathroom, small kitchenette and private deck overlooking the city and takes up the entire top floor of our classic Victorian house. It is decorated with soothing earth-tone fabrics and charming seascape paintings, and will be a relaxing retreat whether you're in town for work or vacation. I will mention that to get to this lovely apartment does involve lots of stairs to climb, some of them up a spiral staircase, since it's on the 4th floor and set above the street. But the view and light are well worth the climb. (See notes on PARKING in last paragraph below) It has one extremely comfortable queen-sized bed and chaise with terrific views of the city, as well as a twin bed tucked away in a nook in the bedroom. It has a living room with a twin-size daybed that has a pop-up twin trundle bed underneath, to comfortably sleep two people. It also has a small kitchenette, a desk, free wifi and TV (with cable, including HBO and Showtime). The large deck also has magnificent views of the city. It is situated in lovely Cole Valley, in walking distance of UCSF and its shuttles to Mission Bay and elsewhere. It is a short walk to Golden Gate Park (great for running, walking, or just exploring beautiful gardens and nature), the Haight-Ashbury, and steps from public transportation (1 block to the bus stop, 2 blocks to the N-Judah train stop; we do not have a garage) and very close to the charming restaurants, shops and services of Cole Valley and the Haight (including a short jaunt to Whole Foods and other natural food stores). This apartment is perfect if you're in town for work (especially at UCSF), or just in town to relax and visit! In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take an Uber or cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets). We are extremely close to multiple MUNI stops (San Francisco's public transportation system), so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, please note that while we don't have a parking spot, it's a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (Kezar Parking Lot is within a 10 minute walk down the street on Stanyan near Frederick Street, and you can pay to park all day for ~$20-~25 for 24 hours, should you want to leave your car there for the day). There are also some streets nearby (Rivoli street, for example) where you can park round the clock for ~48 hours for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for those spots as everyone wants them!

  • Stacey could not have been nicer! She was so helpful about answering all of my questions, and gave us great suggestions about where to go in the neighborhood. The apartment was pretty much as described, although unfortunately there was a strong odor of mildew when we arrived, and the heat in the living room was not working. When I brought this to Stacey's attention she promptly came up to the our place and said she would take care of these issues ASAP. All in all it was a nice stay in a very typical SF area.

  • My husband and I came to San Fran for a long weekend to hang out, eat, and just relax. Stacey's apartment could not have been better. It was a great location where we went running in Golden Gate Park, ate delicious croissants and coffee from a local bakery, and walked A LOT. But public transit was very close too which we utilized as well. We started to feel like we lived there! The deck was the perfect addition. One day I didn't even want to leave but rather just sit up on the deck and read. We enjoyed wine and cheese from a local wine store while enjoying the sunset. The interior of apt was extremely comfortable. We slept very well and the shower was great! I highly recommend Stacey's apartment. And Stacey was awesome!

    Anne2013-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying at Stacey and Hadar's apartment in Cole Valley. All the initial communication was fast and easy and as soon as I booked I was provided with all kinds of information on transport, places to see/things to do, where to eat etc. When I arrived Stacey was there to give me the keys and even helped with my luggage. The apartment is extremely comfortable and has everything you will need. It also has an amazing view of the surrounding area and a great patio. The location is incredibly convenient. It is a short walk to a number of parks and less than a five minute walk to take the MUNI (tram) downtown. I absolutely loved my stay at the apartment and would definitely stay there again!

We're a 10 minute walk to Golden Gate Park and music festival venues. Ocean Beach, China Beach, and Baker Beach are all nearby, as is The Presidio. Love food? Thai, Chinese, Moroccan, Sushi and an American bar and grill are all around the corner. The Legion of Honor is up the street and the Academy of Sciences and DeYoung museums are a short drive away. • amazing staying at todd's a travellers dream! though we had a car so we dont know how is it if you had to use public transportation. but the room and the neighborhood was amazing! and todd was a great host. the room can fit 6 persons very comfortably. the bathroom was spotless. the beds were very comfortable, i can go on and on. but to sum it up it was amazing! thanks for having us! it was our home away from home!

  • Amazing property and great hosts! Todd was very responsive, helpful and extremely nice -- he was proactive in asking if we needed any specialty items and left a great bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my birthday! The location was a little outside of the city (about a 20-30 min bus ride, or $30 Uber/Lyft) but it was a beautiful local. Right across from Lands End trail and even has a little outdoor space. SUPER clean and well-decorated. Five of us fit comfortably. Highly recommended!

Private studio with OWN BATHROOM. Neighborhood: Financial District/ Downtown. Central location with 99 walk score and 97 biking score. Walking distance to Wharf, Moscone, Union Square, Corporate Offices, Restaurants, Chinatown, Bart/ Muni etc. Polished quality accommodation for an affordable rate.
Why you should choose our place? > Heart of Downtown: Our unit is at the center of downtown and in the financial district. Whether you're visiting for business, tourism, or conference, you would opt for a convenient location—so you don't waste your time just getting around downtown. We're in the same neighborhood as Moscone Center, Bay Bridge, Chinatown, Union Square, FiDi Offices, and various hotels! > Walkable location: Getting around in SF can be very stressful, with its crowded and busy streets. As a visitor with limited time, you don't want to spend your time just traveling and getting stuck in traffic. Because of the unit's central location, you can just walk and get around places conveniently. Alternatively, you can also take Lyft Line or Uber Pool for $5- $7 flat and get around the city. > Safe neighborhood: Well, safety is a relative term. You might have heard that there are some areas of SF which can be bad and need to avoid. One good thing about our location is its relatively safer compare to other neighborhood. It's in financial district and relatively very decent. > Convenient to/from airport: We're 20 minute drive to SFO and OAK (with no traffic) or 30- minute Bart (closest station: Montgomery). You can also take Uber Pool or Lyft Line for $17 flat (est) from the airport. > Best Italian/French restaurants: There are restaurants with live music and cozy atmosphere that's just down the apartment building. If you just want to relax and meet other people, just hang-out near the bars and restaurants. > Private Unit: We, your hosts, won't track every move that you're making or interfere with your vacation. It's a hotel style room and you don't have any roommates! Unit is all yours but we're always reachable anytime you need us. > Convenient check in/out: We've installed lockbox in the apartment building and you can just drop in/off the keys anytime convenient for you. > Cleanliness: Cleanliness is next to godliness. If you're like us who's sensitive and mindful of proper hygiene, then we're on the same page. We replace the bed sheets and comforter with news one for every guests. > Flexibility: if you're a group of more than 2 people, we'll be happy to accommodate you. We have an extra bed we can set-up for you. Whatever you need, we'll work with you to make sure you're taken care of. > Other Features: Super-fast wifi, towels, basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), queen size bed with memory foam mattress and high quality bed sheets (100% cotton or microfiber), hangers, iron, microwave and mini-fridge.
Our unit is at the center of downtown and in the financial district. Whether you're visiting for tourism, business or conference, you would like to opt for a convenient location—so you don't waste your time just getting around downtown. We're in the same neighborhood as Bay Bridge, Moscone Center, Union Square, FiDi Offices, Chinatown and various hotels.
  • Liberty was a great host, easy to connect with, provided great information about the neighborhood, transportation and how to get to and in the building.

  • Great location! Worked really well for us.

  • The studio was in a great location, very central. The room is small but clean and essentials such as water, snacks and toiletries were provided. The bed was very comfy. The building itself is very old and the common areas could do with a facelift. Furthermore, noise from the street can be heard as the windows are single pane but ear plugs were thoughtfully provided in a jar beside the bed.

  • Cozy place that is in the MIDDLE of San Francisco. You can get anywhere from here. Perfect.

  • The place is located in the centre of the city. You can enjoy San francisco using Muni pass easily. All lines are easy to access. You have to prepare coins(25cent, 8ea) if you plan to laundry.

  • The best thing about this little studio is the location. It is comfortable enough for a couple days, but it really feels like staying in a dorm room, albeit a clean one. It's nice to add the white noise maker, but there is still a LOT of street noise. The building is old, and there is a constant smell of cooked fish as most of the residents seem to enjoy cooking fish. Liberty is great with communication.

  • Perfect studio for our night in San Francisco! Had everything we needed and then some. It was right in the heart of the city, so it was easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Very clean and helpful for first timers in the area.

Our place is close to everything SF and near the heart of SOMA. A few blocks from great dining, the Moscone conference center, Giants Stadium, Union Square/downtown, the financial district, the CAL train, and many more. Easy on and off the freeway, this place is a breeze for your stay.. You’ll love this place because of the high ceilings, roof deck with all the views, the location, and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Garaged parking is available onsite for $30/day extra. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can arrange for it. Otherwise, there is free parking on the street sometimes but it can be hard to find.
SoMa: The land of startups, new restaurants, bars, beauty, grit, art and some of the best SF has to offer.
  • Great place! The rooftop has awesome views. Great food nearby. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

  • The property is great. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Brian the host is very welcoming and communication was smooth. He arranged the house for us very nicely. Location- after knowing the city a bit better - I understand there are better neighborhoods to stay in (Valencia st. for example) and more central. The property is quite expensive and so was the parking we had to pay in addition.

  • We enjoyed our stay at this apartment with amazing rooftop terrace. Location is very central so you can basically walk everywhere.

This family sized space can sleep 9 or more people comfortably. There are 4 bedrooms with a spare room and 2 bathrooms. There are 3 queen beds, 1 twin bed, 1 full bed, and 2 full-sized sofa beds. Great for families! Streetcar stops right in front of the building to take you downtown. Parking for one car in the driveway. This space is on the second floor up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator or wheelchair lift. READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING, THIS IS IMPORTANT!
This is a very large space that is extremely convenient in terms of public transportation. Great for families and group travel. There is a laundromat across the street and a neighborhood grocery store on the same block. The space has 3 queen beds, 1 full bed, 1 twin bed, and 2 full size sofa beds/futons that can fold out into a bed. We can also provide air mattresses if you give us advanced notice.
  • We enjoy our stay. Thanks!

    Calvin2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Accommodation was basic but had plenty of space to accommodate the 5 of us. We got there late & there was no where to eat or purchase any amenities so if your traveling stop off for the basic. In the morning got the bus across the road to the centre which was great but had to get a cab home. All in all for 5 separated clean rooms in San Fransisco (maybe not in the centre) good value for money

    Jill2015-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was bright, spacious and clean. The description was accurate, parking was difficult as it always is in SF. Coleman answered all my questions and met all accommodations requested. The neighborhood was busy and bustling with people. I didn't use the transit system as much as I would have liked but it was nice to know that I had the option.

    Elizabeth2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, clean and plenty of space! And Coleman was very responsive...

    matt2016-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was easy to access and lovely and spacious when we arrived. A few odd cleaning rags here and there but we managed to clear them up. This is an excellent apartment to rent if visiting SF with multiple families or friends. It's close/ walking distance to Mission St and the team was convenient too. The first night we were there though, there seemed to be noise (footsteps/bags or something) moving around at 4;30am which woke some of us. This was a little frustrating as we all tried to be super diligent about the noise after 9pm as the floorboards were quite noisy even with shoes off. Street parking was ok and not too painful too.

    Tenille2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Coleman was very prompt with all communication and responded almost immediately to requests for information. Everything about this listing is accurate and we especially appreciated the many bedrooms for our group of 6 and the cleanliness of the apartment. Parking is tricky but we parked a minivan there with no problem...just read the manual in advance so you're clear on the instructions. The neighborhood is "okay". Just realize in advance it's a city neighborhood with bars on doors and windows, which is typical for an urban neighborhood. If you know how to use public transportation in SF, you'll probably be fine with the street car system. We, from the midwest, wouldn't have known quite how to navigate it and were grateful to have a rental car to go to Muir Woods, downtown, etc. I did a lot of searching in advance of this trip and found that, given the space and proximity to downtown, the price was right.

    Marcy2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a clean and spacious unit. Good for a big group. We had a very positive experience with our stay. Public transportation is very easy here. Very close to the highway. The owner was very quick with his response. highly recommended.

She provided all the information and accommodations we needed for our stay, even going as far as providing a bottle of wine for New Years Eve! The room was clean, spacious and in a great area - close to BART and lots of delicious food. I would definitely recommend staying at Del's!

  • The studio was just great and is actually larger than on the pictures. The mission district is very cool, especially 24th street. Del is the best. It starts with a full dossier of the surrounding neighborhood and continues with a serious answer for even the slightest question. Will definitely be back!

  • Our trip to this little gem was Magical!! The nuts & bolts: •Immaculate studio oClean & stylishly outfitted oHigh end furnishings & accessories •Full size kitchen ospecial added touches: fresh sprig of basil, Ghiradelli chocolate, fruit bowl & a bottle of wine awaited us •Quiet neighborhood oStone’s throw from the freeway but without hint of a sound oNearby park (skateboard park & playground) oMission district oIn the city but with a quaint, quiet neighborhood feel •Comfortable accommodations oCozy, soft bed oLeather couch oKitchen table easily seats 4 (we were a party of 2) oPrivate studio/apartment to yourself •Good Parking oFree street parking (but have to move hourly during weekdays) oNearby parking lot for only $12/day (I learned very quickly that this is a STEAL in SF!!) oNearby public transit is easily accessible, too The true spirit: I am ever-so-grateful to have found this hidden treasure in San Francisco for our winter vacation. I had originally looked into staying at a hotel, but the steep parking prices were astonishing. I knew I’d like to have a place with a kitchen so we wouldn’t have to eat out the entire time, and low and behold I found this lovely studio for rent. Online, I saw the features of a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and to my pleasure, NO TV!! But, lovely as it looked online, it was even better in person. Our hosts were welcoming, the accommodations were pristine, and the location was central to everything we wanted to do in the city. That was just my first impression. As we progressed through our stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the care given to us to navigate the city & seek out the local flare. We ended up having a great connection with our host family, and spent much time with them, but as that may not be the case every time, you can rest assured that you will get fantastic personal attention and a fine place to rest your head as you tour this most magnificent city! Look no further…you have arrived at one of theeeee best places to stay for a dream vacation!

  • I had a lovely time in this apartment. It looks just like the pictures! Del was super helpful, with the perfect level of communication to support my late night arrival. • Patti's home was fabulous in every single way. Location was great, the decor was very tasteful/beautiful and everything in the house was as described. I was especially impressed by the amenities - Patti's house had everything we needed and we never needed to make a pit stop at a pharmacy or grocery store. The fridge and pantry was stocked with snacks/beverages left by Patti or other visitors. Bathroom had every wash product we needed. We would definitely stay here again when we're in San Francisco. You can't go wrong!

  • The apartment is lovely... warm and welcoming, and there was lots of cross ventilation to take advantage of the breeze. We found the bedrooms and beds comfortable and appreciated the well equipped kitchen. While the neighborhood is off the main tourist path, this is a good location for those who want quiet evenings and easy access by public transport to downtown or Richmond. Patti was very quick to reply and provided all of the information that we needed for a pleasant and easy stay.

    Stefanie2015-07-23T00:00:00Z

  • The property is very clean, neat and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood near public transportation. It's a good area for running as well. It's about a mile and half from Golden Gate Park through safe neighborhoods. Patti checked in a few times by text to make sure everything was going well. The only surprise were the baths. It's advertised as 2 baths but it is only 1-1/2 baths. It is stated in the body of property description that the 2nd bath has a commode and sink. I must have missed that when I booked. But, we (3 couples) managed well and had a great stay in the city.

    brian2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Patti was informative and accommodating from the moment we inquired about her property. When we arrived everything was as described and we had a very pleasant stay as a result. Modern and well-equipped kitchen, ample closet space for our 2 night stay; very clean, fresh linens and towels. The neighborhood was different than we expected but overall quiet, residential, and a short walk to most essentials.

SoMa, or South of Market, is a vast, warehouse-filled district. It encompasses Mission Bay and South Beach, where the Giants play baseball at waterfront AT&T Park. The area is dotted with upscale dining options and high-energy nightclubs.

The Mission is hard to describe. It is vibrant, and a little bit of all that SF has to offer. There is great food, and the best people and this block of SF has the best micro-climate in the whole city. I feel lucky to live here.
  • Karen made me feel welcome straight away. She waited for a while at the door to give me the keys and as she saw I was having difficulties with parking she let me know there were 2 spots open in her street while I was driving around. The place was clean and all instructions for Wifi, toilet usage etc were very clear.

  • Great room! great host! great location! the room was like privet apartment much more then what we could ask. Very recommend :)

  • Perfect place to stay in the middle of the Mission district -- functions much more like a "whole place" than a private room. Convenient to public transit.

    Matt2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay at Karen's place, the location is great, the room big enough, and everything made our stay in San Francisco easy. We couldn't expect better. Excellent information given by Karen about the area and things to do in Mission. Thank you so much !

    Guillaume2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. The room was exactly as it was described. Great location. We used to live in SF a few years back and really only looked into Airbnb because it provided locations in the heart of the Mission. With prices today, this room is a steal. The private entrance, private bathroom and patio area made all the difference. Karen made us feel at home (supplied toiletries, water, etc) and provided great support through out our stay.

    hugo2014-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was very helpful with arranging our arrival and gave us some recommendations for lunch. The place was clean and we enjoyed the cute back patio for a glass of wine. Also appreciated the snacks and chocolate. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbours, but that did not disturb our stay. Good location, walking distance to mission district shops and restaurants.

  • My girlfriend Raenaa and I had a delightful stay at George's studio apartment in San Francisco. The apartment was ideally located by the 21 bus route, which proved an easy launching pad for our city excursions. We particularly enjoyed the plethora of great restaurants near the apartment (we loved the happy hour special at nearby Mercado Urbano and had wonderful tacos) and the recreational opportunities in nearby Golden Gate Park. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and remarkably spacious for a studio, especially by the New York City standards that Raenaa and I are used to. The outdoor patio area was great for our morning coffee and breakfast. My life partner Raenaa absolutely loved the sofa and found it very comfortable. During our stay, we only had one minor issue, which was locking the French doors. When we called George for assistance, he promptly arrived and gave us a tutorial. George told us to feel free to ask him for suggestions for the remainder of our stay. Raenaa and I had a wonderful experience at George's apartment in San Francisco and would certainly recommend it.

  • My husband and I were staying in San Francisco for 3 nights in Oct and we were having difficulty finding hotel accomodation so we decided to try Airbnb. After viewing the photographs and reading the reviews, we chose George's apartment. We were not disappointed - the apartment was gorgeous, modern, spotlessly clean and spacious. The location was excellent, near Golden Gate Park and Alamo Square with a Muni stop just around the corner. All of the tourist attractions were easily accessible but having been to SF 3 times it was really nice to stay outwith Union Square/ Fisherman's Wharf and see another side to the city. George was a great host with quick responses to our emails and really clear instructions for entry to the apartment. The red wine and wheat thins were a really nice welcome present and much appreciated. We can't thank George enough for our great stay and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to SF.

    Kiera2012-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is located in a perfect, quiet area. Foodstore, busstop, park are just steps away. The studio is really nicely furnished, it is just like on the pictures. There were even fresh flowers on the table as we arrived and of course everything was sparkling clean. The arrangement for self-check-in was very good, it was easy to follow the instructions George gave us. The describtion how to get from the airport to the studio was very helpful. For two or three people it is a perfect stay, for four it is rather small. George was a very good host and made our stay comfortable.

    Andrea2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Host gave good check in instructions and paid a visit and helped with queries when required.

    Vishruta2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed an excellent 4-night stay in George’s studio. The apartment is very well equipped, and as other reviews have noted, fully delivers on the photos and information in the listing. We concur with the many glowing reviews by previous guests. To add something new, here are a few things that were particularly important to us: -George is a strong communicator and is amazingly responsive to emails and texts -The apartment is spotlessly clean and well maintained -The location is excellent – pleasant residential neighborhood with excellent access to all parts of SF. The bus line that stops ½ block away (#21) is pretty mellow and pleasant to ride. -We found a free overnight parking space for our rental car 2 blocks away after only 5 minutes of looking – perhaps we were just lucky. (note: the DMV lot charges a fee and requires that the car be out by 7 am). We would happily stay at George’s apartment on a future trip to SF.

    David2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience and will keep this listing in mind for our next trip. It is in a nice part of town, quiet, with easy access to public transportation and golden gate park. George was a great host, the instructions were very easy to follow for check in. The property was beautiful, clean, well maintained, everything we needed was there. I would recommend this listing to anyone.

    Dallas2014-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • George's place was wonderful. Just like it appeared in the pictures. Refreshing to find a place that lives up to its advertisement. It was very clean and very comfortable and very quiet. No trouble accessing public transport. Close by some lovely restaurants. Thanks George we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in San Francisco would love to stay here again.

    Nicola 2014-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at George's apartment for 3 nights around new year's 2015. It was a very cozy place and amazingly clean! Lots of clean linen and towels were available for our use. The place has everything you actually need for a comfortable stay. Ideal for 2 people. We were 3 adults + child, it was still ok though! The neighborhood is really nice and we had no any problems to park the car free of charge at near by streets.

Clean Skyline Views, Fitness Center. Close to Embarcadero and AT&T Park!
Rincon Hill is a neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It is one of San Francisco's 49 hills, and one of its original "Seven Hills." The relatively compact neighborhood is bounded by Folsom Street to the north, the Embarcadero to the east, Bryant Street on the south, and Essex Street to the west. Rincon Hill is located just south of the Transbay development area, part of the greater South of Market area. The hill is about 100 feet (30 m) tall. Following the California Gold Rush, Rincon Hill was built up as a fashionable and prestigious residential neighborhood. After it was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and fire, the neighborhood was slow to rebuild and largely became an industrial area with small factories and warehouses. In 1985, and revised in 2005, the area was rezoned into a high-density residential neighborhood designed to house up to 10,000 new residents in close proximity to the city's Financial District. • Beautiful view. Do make sure you realize this is a shared unit, not something for you to enjoy completely on your own. That said, clean and spectacular view from King room, as described. Attentive and great host nearby.

  • This is the Airbnb of all Airbnbs! Seriously, book now. The view of the bridge is gorgeous, the home is beautifully furnished and has everything you need, you're close to public transit, and only a short walk from the Embarcadero. I could not have asked for a better place to stay, and would book this room again in a heartbeat. (Oh, and the bed is HEAVENLY!)

    Tony2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as the pictures show. An incredible place to stay. There wasn't a TV in the residence but there is a club area that had them. There also isn't parking provided so it requires some work but that isn't a fault just a reality of a great location. Highly recommend if you want an incredible view and modern place for your visit.

    Bill2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing view from new construction. A perfect stop for business travelers near tech headquarters.

    Joshua2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome views and unit looks very new. Five stars for those. Two main problems i faced: no wi-fi in the unit and second, check-in problems (on the day of travel, i was told they can't checkin before 6, and it was only due to help from airbnb customer service who offered to cancel the reservation, that steven accepted to che kin early.)

  • The best part of this place is the area and views from the master bedroom and living area. Amazing!! Waking up to those views were a joy. Beautiful at night time also. The place itself was lovely and clean. The only downside to the location is that is was a bit quiet at night time, but a close bar is only a short uber away. Highly recommend

  • We only stayed for one night but absolutely loved this place. The view is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! The most beautiful view of the city and the Bay Bridge. We stayed with a group and there was plenty of space for all of us. Excellent location with a ton of shops, restaurants and activities nearby 10 mins walk to embarcadero and right next to common transportation and ATT park. Really comfortable and overall we had a wonderful stay. Peter was also super responsive when I messaged him and check in was smooth and easy. Would definitely return!

  • This truly is a complete house with plenty of space and all the amenities. We didn't even get a chance to take advantage of all it has to offer. The house comes fully stocked with linens/towels, so it's an incredibly easy place to stay. Pepijn and Patricia were extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. We had to rent a crib as we were traveling with our two-year-old, and they were a big help in coordinating the logistics.

    Josh2014-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Even more lovely than the pictures!! My group very much enjoyed staying at this beautiful house. The house is beautiful, spacious, artfully decorated, and very comfortable. Everyone commented on how comfortable all the beds were. We were a group of seven women and it was the perfect home base for a girls weekend in the city. Plenty of bathroom, counter, and mirror space. And the hot tub! Great location with lots to do in walking distance. We under utilized the gorgeous chefs kitchen, but would make a great place for cooking a feast. Pepijn and Patricia were responsive and helpful. Thank you! All together, another airbnb win!

    Adriana2015-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had an enjoyable stay! It was a welcome relief arriving to a lovely warm home late at night. The children enjoyed the spa and we loved the coffee machine as well as our own carpark! Thanks for having us.

    Paul2017-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second stay at this house for my coworkers and I and it was just as good as the first! Check-in was a breeze. The house was immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. I noticed that there was a french press but I didn't find a grinder - after inquiring, the host brought one up ASAP. (There is also a Keurig machine if that is more your thing.) I could keep going about the house but everything about it is awesome!! Totally recommended for larger groups and my coworkers and I will definitely be back.

    Erik2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Responsive, friendly, clean, and convenient. Thanks Pepijn, you'll be our first stop next time we have employees in town.

  • This a great place to stay in San Francisco for a big group. The house was impeccable, very pretty and so comfortable for all the guests. The location is also great and the owners were very responsible to any request prior to, during and after the stay. I would definitely have my family stay here again for their next visit.

    Ariana2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This home is fantastic. It is everything as advertised and more. Pepijn provides many basic items (bathroom toiletries, basic cooking items like olive oil, spices, coffee, etc.). The house is very clean and very well maintained. This was a Christmas trip to visit our three sons who live in California, and this house made for great memories. We would certainly rent again!

    Robert2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house and it was by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The location was great close to great food and coffee shops and we went jogging in the park daily and took the kids to playground and had them play in the back yard. Pepijn was a great host and was very accommodating to our every need. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for something to fit a group of 6-8 people.

Walk to the famous "Painted Ladies" of Alamo Square! Eat at unique neighborhood cafes and restaurants. Stay in a cottage of your own, right in the heart of SF. Fully remodeled with all modern features, elegant kitchen, designer glass and tile bathroom, exotic wood floors, very comfortable beds. Your own parking spot out front is a rare convenience.
This cottage is a separate building, away from the street, so it is extremely private. One hundred years ago it was a carriage house for a horse and buggy before the age of cars. It was completely re-built last year with all new materials and modern amenities. We live in the main house 20 feet away, and we are usually here to help you get settled or quickly answer any question. You have a FREE reserved parking space out front which is very useful in SF. The unit consists of the entire cottage, with partial views of Twin Peaks and Sutro Tower. Total size is approximately 1000 sq. ft. (92 sq. m.) The downstairs is open plan with gourmet kitchen, dining table with chairs, couch, large TV and full bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a full bathroom. We apologize that the outdoor landscaping is still under construction. There is a 10 foot stretch where the ground is a little uneven. It is safe and well lighted day and night. Amenities include: * full modern kitchen * free outdoor parking in front * two new, very comfortable queen beds * sofa downstairs, opens to queen bed * air mattress for 7th guest (it will be a tight fit and a little uncomfortable) * exotic wood floors * large windows, great light * two full bathrooms, modern glass and tile * tub with double saloon glass shower * professionally cleaned before each visit * sheets, towels, and soaps provided * high speed wi-fi, cellular/3G/4G, strong signal * TV with cable, FREE streaming Netflix, DVD * HULU, Amazon Prime Movies, etc. on your account * private entrance with access code - no keys to lose! * bike storage: off-street safe and secure * laundry: free washer, dryer, and detergent! * luggage storage for early arrival, late departure * breakfast: many cafes and restaurants a few blocks away
We are right in the middle of San Francisco in the historic North of Panhandle ("NOPA") neighborhood, near Presidio Heights, and accessible to everything this great city has to offer. The area is very clean and safe, quiet at night and thriving during the day. Walk among Victorian gems, soak in the cafe and foodie scene, bike to the beaches or the Mission, or take a cab or easy bus to anywhere. Stroll to these unique neighborhood attractions, all within a few blocks: * Alamo Square's Painted Ladies ("The 7 Sisters") * Panhandle Park to Golden Gate Park * Amazing restaurants: NOPA, Green Chile, Ragazza Pizza, Crudo (seafood), Nopalito, Tsunami Sushi, Souvla * Cafe paradise: Matching Half, The Mill, Mojo, Peet's * Wine/bar heaven: Wine Kitchen, Vinyl, Fly * Gourmet food to go: Faletti's, Bi-Rite Divis * Farmer's market: Sunday 10-2 four blocks away * Entertainment: Madrone, The Independent * SF Symphony, Opera, Ballet in Hayes Valley (20 min walk) * Jazz: The Fillmore, SFJAZZ (15 min walk) * Buena Vista Park (15 min walk) * Haight/Ashbury (20 min walk)
  • The place is perfect for a small family visiting SF.

  • This was a wonderful place for our family to stay for a long weekend. It was clean and the perfect size for 6 of us. It also had very nice appliances to use. One of the best parts was not having to carry around a key all vacation, the code was nice. We also felt very safe being tucked back behind some homes. Also this was fairly close to great areas. We were able to walk to the fisherman's wharf and other areas, barley using our car. It was also great that there was a parking spot right in front. We would definitely recommend.

    Suzanna2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Russ was very available for communicating with and providing ideas of what to do in the area. This was my first trip to the city so the notebook of how to get around was helpful. Place was neat and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Amenities fine and just as described

    Dan2014-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The interior is exactly as it appears in the photos. The exterior is a very different story. I wish I could post photos with this review as it was pretty bad including a dirty building facade, overgrown vegetation, trash in the yard, and a poorly maintained walkway. We enjoyed our stay overall, but I would have chosen a different rental if I knew what the exterior looked like.

    Dale2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location--2 bus lines (MUNI) within 2 blocks that go both directions (downtown & Lands End). Lyft & Uber always an option within minutes of pickup/dropoff. Also within walking distance of a couple markets/liquor stores & a green organic market that had everything you need for a weeklong stay or less. The separate free laundry room very handy for storing luggage during checkout/early arrival. And the field of nasturiums between your front door & the main house is not to be missed (I don't care if they're considered weeds!)--better than grass any day. Very comfortable, newly updated, linens & towels first-class.

    Dianne2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Russ was a great host! He made sure we had everything we needed and even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy :) The cottage is beautiful and very conveniently located, it honestly made our trip perfect! I highly recommend staying here and would love to stay there again next time I'm in town.

  • I had a fabulous stay at Patsy's gorgeous apartment. Was better than expected. They were very accommodating and I couldn't ask for anything more. The flat is located near many restaurants, if you are there be sure to stop by Mescaluna on the corner, best lasagna ever. To downtown area, I relied on Uber and it is only a 10-15 minute ride. I highly recommend this property and the owners.

  • Patsy responded very promptly to any questions we had. The apartment was extremely spacious, very clean and of a high standard. In particular, the kitchen was very well equipped which was great for us as we ate in at night. The neighbourhood is worth exploring, good pizza restaurant, supermarkets, and cafes. Apartment is on a busy road but very little noise heard when you're in apartment. Good bus route to downtown.

  • The house is really good, and clean. It's feel like our own house.

  • Lovely place to stay. Lots of light and space. Loved the privacy of each bedroom and appreciated the amenities the owners made available. Detailed instructions and communications were helpful from the owner. I would definitely stay there again. Lots of area restaurants, and other helpful places.

  • Great email communication from Patsy helped us feel confident that everything was in order and ready. Apartment was exactly as described, very comfortable and well equipped and we felt very much at home there. Great location right on the bus route, 10-15 minutes into Union Square. An abundance of eating establishments were very accessible too. Washing machine and dryer were a great boon too.

  • Patsy and Roger have a wonderful home, in a great location. The kitchen amenities are amazing and there was lots of space for all 5 of us. We would recommend this rental to anyone visiting San Francisco and would definitely love to stay there again!

    Donna2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Patsy's home is warm and inviting and we loved our stay! The neighborhood is lovely. It has easy access to the city, great hiking access too! My family and I couldn't have asked for a better place! Having a home away from home made our celebration that much sweeter.

  • This is an excellent location, and Sean is a very helpful, genial host. I felt very much at home, even though I don't usually rent a room in an apartment--versus a whole apartment. My room was exactly as advertised, clean, and comfortable. Great value in expensive San Francisco!

    Greg2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place is a great choice if you're thinking about visiting San Francisco. It is as you see in the pictures, always clean and everything promised was supplied. It is close to buses and metro, so you can easily go wherever you want. Sean is an amazing host and he really tries to take good care of you. Easy to contact and really goes the extra mile for you, it did for me when I made a mistake while booking the room.

    Antonio2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sean was an extremely responsive host and very accommodating to my ever-changing schedule. As a solo traveler, I felt really safe in the neighborhood and it was a quick walk away from the downtown street with restaurants and bars. It's close to public transportation and is a perfect spot to stay if you plan on exploring the city during your stay.

    Frank2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sean was amazing. Responsive, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I needed a place to stay last minute, and Sean re-arranged his schedule to let me into the unit a bit early (it was Halloween night / already a disaster). Great place, great location, and even better host. Can't go wrong with this spot and would stay with Sean again.

  • Excellent location. Be prepare to climb up a few steps and while private you will hear other people conversation and the occasional dog(s) paw above you.

    Kenold2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great and the view is beautiful from the roof. I would definitely recommend staying here. Ehson's instructions were very helpful and he was always responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here. I just had two minor issues - I came during a heat wave and there were no fans or ACs which meant the place was always boiling. I think I just got unlucky with the weather. The second minor issue was there were no window screens and the bedroom windows opened onto the street which made it a little unsafe. But in general it was a safe area and since it seemed like a brand new place, so I am sure this would be resolved by the next stay.

    Inkisar2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful apartment, very clean and well furnished. Very central in an excellent district. We hired a car but walked everywhere. Another time we wouldn’t bother with a car. If you want to eat in some of the time, just check that Ehson has added a few essentials like a corkscrew, salad bowl ,ovenware etc You will not be disappointed with this amazing apartment and fabulous roof terrace.

    Joan2017-11-02T00:00:00Z

He was timely with responses to questions and inquiries and made the stay very awesome. Definitely would recommend staying here.
