“ The Bar & Grill is the perfect place to chill and just a lovely 15-minute walk from The Recording Studio. There are comfy outdoor sofas on the terrace overlooking the waters edge, and their cocktail concoctions are delicious. There is always an electric atmosphere in the evening, especially as most Saturday nights throughout the year there is a live band and lots of dancing. The large sumptuous sofas inside are ideal for watching any sport of interest to you on state of the art wide screen T.V’s. We personally love having their Sea Food Sharing Platter with a group of friends and if your feeling naughty the waffles pretty irresistible. A – Hannaford's Landing, Unit 4, Island St, Salcombe ”

“Approximately 30-40 minute walk from the cottage- (all down hill!) on footpaths. It is a really stunning walk with sea views and ends up at South Sands beach where there is a hotel which has a very good restaurant and even better cocktails! To avoid the walk back (uphill!) then are lots of paw-friendly taxis. From South Sands beach, you can get the little tractor-ferry over to Salcombe. It is such good fun. You don’t need to pre-book you just turn up and pay on the boat. It’s about a 30 minute ride to Salcombe and they run every half an hour. (They are closed during the winter so I’m not entirely sure if they will be up and running again yet). ”

“Probably the most popular restaurant in Salcombe with Children. Specialising in fantastic homemade crispy base Pizza’s, Pasta & burgers. There are Caribbean vibes inside, with the pirate theme and bright colours. No need to book, just queue outside from 5:30pm, definitely worth the wait. Alternatively you can order take away pizzas…all you have to do is pick them up. A – 82 FORE STREET, SALCOMBE, DEVON TQ8 8BY T – 01548 842357 W – www.captainflints.co.uk ”

“In Salcombe there are many great places to eat from The Ferry inn, located at the top of town and by the waters edge. The Ferry Inn is family friendly and a great place to go to sit in the beer garden sipping on a glass of wine watching all the activity on the water. The Fortesuce Inn is another great pub that serves great food as is renowned for their homemade pizzas. We always go here in the summer and order a takeaway pizza and then sit on one of the benches across from it by the water and enjoy the summers evening. If you fancied a more sophisticated meal then I would recommend Dick & Wills. They serve amazing food and the offer fresh fish daily, their muscles are defiantly the best in Salcombe! Most cases this does require booking as its located in one of the best spots in Salcombe overlooking the water so I would always book in advance if you wanted to eat here. If you wanted something more family friendly The Island Street Bar and Grill located near the car park and is a great place for families as they offer a more chilled menus serving burgers, grills and salads. If you are going in the Summer I would defiantly book as this is one of the most popular places to eat in Salcombe due to the location and friendly team at the restaurant. ”
