  • Christiane was a very welcoming and generous host. She baked a cake for my arrival, which scores high in my book. I stayed five days and found Christiane very easy to be with.

  • Christianes place is situated close to the city cente. It is very calm. It's a beautiful room, everything is clean and lovely furnished. She is a very nice person, helpful and was very lovely with our baby. She also gave us a baby bed. She knows where to go and what to do. We really enjoyed our stay at her house and recommend her warmly.

In between the Maison de Maitre (our home) and the B&B / Maison the Gardien is the symmetrical garden. The B & B has 4 large rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Large windows, high sealings, beautifull vieuws and on the groundfloor a living/breakfastroom with woodburning stove. Spread out through the garden are bearchairs.
13 ha Domain in a beautifull setting with an abandoned Midieval castle. Several times a week we have a short guided tour through the castle. Plenty of outside space where you can enjoy the historical buildings. It gets really dark and you can hear the owl in the woods. ZOOVER AWARD 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 with an average of 9.3

  • The best stop on our trip through France! Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful.

  • Jitske and Matthew's place was stunning as shown in the photos. We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed the peaceful night, comfortable bed, and beautifully renovated common area living room. When we returned from dinner in town (about 20 minutes away), the hosts had set a fire in the fireplace. Breakfast the next day was wonderful with local cheese and homemade bread. Matthew also gave us a fascinating tour of the property and chateau. We will try to return for a longer stay next time!

Traditional stone cottage in a calm rural hamlet, recently renovated with quality eco materials to create a serene and contemporary ambiance. Spacious kitchen/living room with wood stove and beautiful views looking onto trees and the Morvan hills - early summer visitors will be sure to hear the nightingales singing in the garden. One bedroom with comfortable double bed, and a large bathroom with luxurious shower. Sunny south facing balcony at the front of the house and shaded garden behind, all equipped with garden furniture.
This cottage is situated next to Neuf Portes, the home and workplace of the owners, two British artists who have lived in the area for the last 20 years.
  • William and Jane were very welcoming and it was nice to have them live next door to the cottage (available for any of our questions). There was a good guide/manual in the home too. We happen to be in France during a heatwave and the cottage stayed cool the entire time. The cottage is very spacious and includes an updated kitchen and luxurious bathroom shower, the living room is cozy, and the bed is very comfortable. With Changey being a small town, it was perfect for my husband and I to slow down and relax - taking walks along the various paths. One of the mornings the cows wandered over into the nearby pasture to say hello! For a grocery and restaurants, we drove about 5k into the sweet neighboring town of Nolay, which has everything you need. We would recommend Jane & William's gite to anyone needing a break from city life!

    Jane2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely rural retreat in a great location for exploring the local area. Situated right on a scenic cycle route that takes you through the local picturesque towns and Burgundy vineyards. A well presented and rustic gite that was well equipped and comfortable. We were only here for a few days but would like to visit again in the near future.

  • After warm wellcome, we spend a wunderful time in the house. The cottage is situated in a beautiful and peaceful landscape in a small village. Singing birds is the only thing to hear. The house s perfectly(!) equiped, nothing is missing. Jane and her man arranged everything very tastefully. I can highly recommend staying there!

    Carsten2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great and nicely quiet place. The cottage has everything you need. Beautifull area this time of the year. Happy birds singing there songs around the cottage. We had a very pleasant stay!

    Mieke2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jane and Will were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and caring, yet discrete. Since we depended entirely on public transportation it was a great relief that Jane offered us a ride from/to the nearest bus stop on arrival/departure. The flat is furnished puristically which makes it fit perfectly into the surrounding area. It has everything one might need for a relaxed week, especially the kitchen is well equipped. We particularly enjoyed having dinner on the balcony catching the last sunbeams.

    Lea Sophie2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Janes cottage is in a tiny village in a rural area. No shops, no traffic, no noise...just what we wanted. Beaune and surrounds is an easy 20min drive. Very tidy and had everything we required. Would stay again.

  • Wonderfoul stay at jane's apartment, higly recommended

    Gabriele2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a quiet rural setting. The cottage is larger inside than the Airbnb photos show. Halfway between Beaune and Autun, both of which are beautiful historic town with lots to see and do. Jane and Will we're very helpful with great local knowledge. Don't miss the town square in the nearest town of Nolay for a drink or meal.

  • This cottage is a little out of the way and hard to find if you do not speak French, although once found is a gorgeous spot to spend the night and well worth the effort. Nearby the town of Nolay is full of vintage shops. No wifi which makes it difficult if you (like we did) rely on wifi to book your next night's accommodation.

  • Geneviève was very sweet and hospitable. Even with the language barrier she made us feel welcomed. The only thing I would say is she needs to post more pictures of her home and surrounding area. It is absolutely beautiful! It was more then we were anticipating and were beyond pleased with the accommodations and surrounding area. Thank you Geneviève I would definitely recommend your home to others!

    Brianna2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • It is a bit hard to communicatie with the host...this is probably our fault because we Dont speak french but still... The location is really amazing little house on top of a hill surrounded by vinyards and apple trees and swallows to wake you up in the morning. Its quite and an idyllic location of the house. We were a bit shocked though that it was not possible to lock the front door. Perfect place for a quite romantic getaway.

  • We had a wonderful time at Jeremy's place, he and his parents were particularly kind and welcoming! When we got there, Jeremy had prepared fire in the chimney, which was a really thoughtful attention. We got the chance to taste and get good wine from their winery! The house got renovated with great care and thus its character is well-preserved, with tomettes, stone floors, and large wooden beams. If you are looking for authenticity and quietness, this place is for you. The house is perfectly located in La Rochepot, just near the Castle. There are several hiking trails that you can go for, for instance the "sentier des cretes", which is easy and accessible. We did not think of bringing our bikes, but if weather allows, think of it, as you can bike from village to village through the wineyards. We highly recommend Jeremy, his family and their place! We are thankful and look forward to visiting again! Best, Catherine

  • The house is really nice and cosy, fully equipped and comfortable. It is also located in a small village that is quiet and beautiful. Unfortunately, we had some communication problems so we were not able to arrive to the destination by ourselves. Due to some health problems with the baby, I warned that we would have arrived late in the evening but with no answer..once arrived to the town, we realized the number of the house was not specified in the address plus that the map in airbnb was not correct. We also didn't have her mobile number so we were really lucky in finding a person at 10 in the evening that lived nearby that helped us to find the house, guessing who was renting a house....otherwise we would had no place where to stay, without dinner and with a small baby with us that had to eat too in te middle of nowhere, because the village is too small for having hotels, restaurants, and so. Despite this, we found two people to welcome us that were very nice and kind, we loved the apartment and the breakfast that was offered and we enjoyed our stay a lot. It's a pity because the first time we spoke with Helen she was so kind and quick in her answers and very kind and flexible in changing our reservation. So I think it was just a chance.

  • Beautiful studio. Clean. Nice quiet enviroment. Loved the style and class - totally unexpected for a place that remote. Karine and Thomas have taste :-) We had difficulty finding the location, once we found it Thomas was very welcoming.

  • Lovely studio and lovely host. Super well equipped, comfortable and with nice details. Highly recommend it.

    Giulia2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had tons if fun at Karine's place! It has the vinywards view from the window and also a little porch that were both great. The room is amazing, very comfortable bed and well designed. Huge and beautiful bathroom too. You should also go to taste the wine at the 5 min walk vinyward closeby. It's one of the best we had in the while area. Another thing - the village itself is very cute and has flowers everywhere♡ We recommend! Ayelet&Nir

  • Our absolute most favorite state when we went through France! A quaint and small little town in burgundy with the most stunning views. Karine was soaring and the space was well kept and overly prepared for us. Would love to stay here over and over again. Guest note - if you are there on a Sunday, pre book everything, including dinner. It is small and most wine experiences are closed unless you already made an appointment.

    Kylene2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Karine and Thomas were fantastic hosts. Their apartment is located in a beautiful little village which is surrounded by vineyards and terrific mountain views. Just 4km away is the slightly larger village of Santenay which is a good choice for food. There is also a lovely wine shop with a friendly owner who speaks enough English! We used the apartment as a stop off point for our drive down to the south of France - it was ideal for this. Close enough to the motorway however far enough away to get the peace and quiet of the French countryside. The breakfast was 10 Euros and delivered on to our doorstep by Karine & Thomas and contained a lovely selection of homemade jams and freshly squeezed orange juice to accompany the croissants and bread. All in all we had a brilliant 1 night stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment and its hosts to anyone! Thanks again Karine & Thomas!

    Sophie2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous room and bathroom, very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom! Loved the area and would have liked to stay longer! Beaune is worth a visit and had a fabulous dinner in Satonay. Just be aware that 'entire place' does not include a kitchen. Highly recommend

    Larinae2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great little stay in wine country. Easy access to Chagny, Chassagne Montrachet and Santenay and there is an excellent wine maker just up the street! The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Communication with Karine was easy, as was finding the place. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an affordable but very nice room in wine country!

  • Karine was an amazing host. We were staying in Burgundy for two days as my husband and I travelled the French country side and her little Château was just perfect for what we were looking for. It's close to all the little towns in the area, quiet, and truly lovely!

  • Our stay here was about as good as it can get. Andre graciously made us reservations at a local restaurant, Le Terroir, after we sent him a message the day we were arriving (later than expected) and we needed a place to eat. His recommendation was absolutely fantastic. Definitely stop by this place if you have the time. The breakfast that they provided each morning was also extremely enjoyable. Fresh ingredients from a local farm, as well as prepared items from their own kitchen. You will not be disappointed. We felt very safe during our stay, and would love to go back. Hopefully we can make that happen!

  • We have stayed in many B&B and private apartments all over the world, for us this is the standout. Andre and Joelle are wonderful hosts, making you feel right at home. The apartment is newly appointed, private and quiet. Situated in a quaint village with so much to do in the surrounding area. Whether it is a quite get away or experiencing the wine, culture and truly French rural environment, one could not do better.

  • Clean, comfortable with updated furnishings. Very peaceful, rural setting. Perfect place to relax after biking and wine tastings. Andre was a super host. When we arrived tired after biking all day Andre offered to drive us to dinner in Santennay. Andre and Joelle prepared great breakfasts with organic ingredients. Superb. Note: if biking in from Santennay take the bike trail to Nolay and get off at Andre's village. Much easier than the road. This was the kind of AirBnB stay you dream about.

  • Lovely quiet location - ideal for exploring the area.

  • The perfect combination of comfort and character. Easy secure parking, excellent breakfasts!, very good bed, extremely helpful hosts (very knowledgeable about wine in the region, and good restaurants). The river next door lulled us to sleep - so peaceful. It was a privilege to meet Andre and Joelle.

  • Airbnb location I would recommend to all! Very nice and warm hosts, clean and comfortable apartment. Great breakfast! They have bikes available to explore the neighborhood full of vineyards. Very quiet environment. No shops or restaurants in walking distance but enough choice in the surrounding villages.

  • We had everything we needed for a brief stay in Cote d'Or region. Lovely, individually prepared, home made breakfasts were delicious. Quiet, sleepy village in lovely countryside. We used the owner's bikes for easy cycling along Canal du Centre. Andre & Joelle were excellent hosts & were very hospitable. Highly recommended.

  • Our stay with Andre and his wife Joelle was really excellent. Everything was perfect, or very close to perfect. Hospitality, breakfast, location,..... We don't want to give a full account of our experience, because it would lead to a permanenty booked place, leaving no room for a future stay of ourselves.

Chez Peshi, nestled in a quiet Burgundy farm village, is a perfect base to sample France’s greatest wines; dine on famous French cuisine; cycle, hike or picnic in vineyards and along historic barge canals; and discover fascinating history, châteaux, castes, Roman-Gallic sites, and much more. Chez Pesh is not a gîte, but a fully-furnished private home with amenities included: guests need only buy fresh foods at a nearby market before settling in to enjoy. Query for details.
A Chez Peshi vacation holiday in Burgundy’s wine country is an opportunity to experience the real France and enjoy one of the most captivating regions of Europe. Chez Peshi is a fully-furnished private home in Saisy, a farm village minutes west of the charming, medieval market-town of Nolay. It is at the center of a vast area considered among the most beautiful in France – a region of stunning scenery, unbounded outdoor opportunities, three thousand years of fascinating history, castles and châteaux, Roman antiquities, cathedrals and monasteries, quiet winding canals, palate-pleasing gastronomy and, of course, the world’s finest wines. There is something for everyone and all within minutes of your cottage with five rooms and large, park-like garden. Two bedrooms comfortably accommodate four guests; a sofa bed offers room for two additional guests. All amenities are provided. Guests need only pick up some groceries in nearby Nolay or Epinac and settle in. THE COTTAGE Chez Peshi is the dream home of Pete and Shirlene. They fell in love with Burgundy in 1981 after first falling in love with Burgundy’s wines while living in Seattle some years earlier. In 1990 they were able to purchase the house as a vacation home while working in various locations in Europe. Renovation and restoration began in 1991 and continues today. An old attic was converted to a comfortable studio and lounge in 2003 and 2012 saw complete restoration of the exterior. Chez Peshi today is very comfortable and offers a rare opportunity to experience Burgundy’s wine and farm country the way it is known and loved by Burgundians. It is ideally located to explore and discover the many treasures and flavors of Burgundy. The name “Chez Peshi” comes from a contraction of the owners’ names, Pete and Shirlene, and originated with a 5-year old German girl who named her dog Peshi after the American couple who befriended her. GARDEN The quiet park-like rear garden (or back yard in American English) is ideal for outdoor dining with friends or simply relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of Saisy. Lawn furniture and barbecue grill are available. Sun-setting skyscapes are amazing and make a perfect time to enjoy a glass of wine before beginning evening activities. LIVING ROOM The living room highlights the ground level and features a large German Schrank with enough plates, serving dishes and wine glasses to serve a 5- or 6-course dinner to eight people. An Old-World beamed ceiling gives a feeling of going back in time to a simpler age. Facing the Schrank is large open fireplace guaranteeing cozy comfort and romance on chilly, off-season days. For entertainment, there is a large, flat-screen television with connection to iTunes, U.S. podcasts and movies. There is also a DVD player with a library of 30+ movies. A comfortable sofa converts to double bed for additional sleeping accommodations. KITCHEN The large kitchen is fully furnished with cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving and mixing bowls, plates -- everything needed for a simple or elaborate meal. Uniquely, a wine-barrel table with Carrara-marble top for 6 people is ideal for snacks or conversation while chef and sous chef prepare dinner. There is a clothes washer under the kitchen counter. Picnic baskets are provided for lunches at nearby picnic areas. Picnicking is a French passion and charming picnic sites abound. A list of Peshi favorites is provided with guests’ welcome packages. There is also a portable radio-CD player with iPod dock in the kitchen. DINING The dining room seats 4 to 8 people. A multitude of dining experiences are possible with raclette grill, hot stone grill and fondue pot, all with accompanying cutlery. For more elegant dining or hosting several guests there is a long, traditional Burgundian dining table in the upper level studio. BEDROOMS Sleeping arrangements for six include downstairs master bedroom with double bed, a large loft with roll-out double bed, and a sofa-bed in the living room. BATHROOM The large circa 1970s bathroom includes shower, large double sink and facilities for ironing clothes. STUDIO-LOUNGE The upper level studio is a spacious, French-classic room with elevated comfortable lounge offering a beautiful view of forests and pastures dotted with Burgundy’s white Charolais cattle. This multi-functional room also has a large, 8-person dining/work table and chairs and a reading and reference library with 500 volumes. A large chamber below the lounge deck opens to reveal a double bed which can be rolled out to covert the studio into our 2nd bedroom.
An important part of a Chez Peshi holiday is getting and out and about – touring, wine hunting, dining, biking, visiting weekly markets, etc. We know of no place in Europe that offers so many unique and fascinating options within a half-hour or half-day drive. We have attempted to gather all the information you need, from leaflets to guidebooks to private touring notes to peruse upon arrival. In the meantime, we urge you to google “burgundy” plus subjects of possible interest: “wines burgundy”, “history burgundy”, “gauls and romans burgundy”, “canals burgundy”, etc. The following are brief notes on what we love about Burgundy. WINE HUNTING Visiting wineries and tasting Burgundy’s wines is one of the great joys of a Chez Peshi holiday and an experience different from other wine regions of the world. Burgundy vineyards were largely owned by the Catholic Church until the French Revolution after which properties were broken up and sold to small land owners. Napoleonic inheritance laws continued subdivision of the most precious vineyards with the result that today, most vineyards and wineries are small, family-run operations. Competition for quality is fierce and with a little bit of homework you can find wines of amazing quality at reasonable prices. But best of all, wine hunting – Pete and Shirlene’s term for visiting and tasting – offers a chance to meet Burgundy’s unpretentious, friendly owners. You can, of course, visit a few important chateaus where you can pay to taste and talk to tasting-room employees but our pleasure comes from meeting hard-working vintners who love their work, are immensely proud of the wines and are willing to stop what they’re doing and explain the ins and outs of their profession. BEAUNE & AUTUN Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, is a marvelous town of old-world ramparts, winding streets, sidewalk cafes, Michelin-star restaurants and miles of underground wine cellars (caves) waiting to be toured. There are wine-focus shops to tickle every imagination. Our favorite is Athenaeum, located across the street from Beaune’s famous Hospice de Beaune. It is Europe’s most amazing wine shop and offers thousands of books on wine and gastronomy, wine gifts and gadgets for every desire and even tastings. Beaune’s Saturday street market is one of the nicest in Europe and its annual wine auction in November attracts buyers from around the world. Autun is famed for its Roman antiquities. Founded during the reign of Augustus after Julius Caesar’s final defeat of the Gauls, it’s attractions include an ancient amphitheater, two well-preserved Roman gates and the Temple of Janus. Autun’s St-Lazare’s Cathedral dates from the 1100’s and is famed for its architecture, most notably the sculpture art above the main portal. The city had an incredibly rich medieval history and the Count of Autun became the first Duke of Burgundy. HIKING & BIKING France boasts 35,000 km of marked and signposted hiking trails. Many are within a short drive of Saisy and two begin in our village center. Burgundy paths are mostly gentle and lead through farmland, vineyards and forests. The long-distance GR7 trail which runs from Germany to Spain passes through nearby Nolay. Hiking guides and a list of Peshi favorite hikes await our guests when they arrive. A former railway that passed by Saisy has been converted to a paved hiking and biking trail that runs easterly 20km to Santenay. From Santenay, cyclists can pedal north on paved routes to explore vineyards, wineries and villages of the spectacular Côte d’Or, or ride along the old tow-paths of the Canal du Centre all the way to the Loire River, over 80 km from Santenay. Four bikes plus helmets are available for Chez Guests to use at their own risk. Rentals are also available in nearby villages.
  • Great place, close to our wedding venue. Shirlene was very responsive and informative.

ALIGOTE is one of 3 identical delightful apartments for couples situated on the first floor of the farmhouse barn. It has a private balcony with outside furniture, gas BBQ and wonderful views over fields with grazing Charolais cattle and forests.
EN LA MARRE is a 19thC farmhouse converted by the resident owners, Judith and Chris, into six delightful, independent apartments for couples. They all have their own individual characters with the owners' personal effects, plenty of books to read and a music system.
En la Marre is a haven of peace, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life for those searching a relaxing holiday, though within easy reach of all facilities and the wine region of the Cote d'Or. We are surrounded by fields and woods and the region is wonderful for walking and cycling. There is golf nearby, plenty of culture - music, theatres, chateaux, museums. This beautiful region caters for all tastes with good weather thrown in. It is not predominantly a tourist region only Beaune and Dijon attract a number of visitors.
  • Judith and her husband are the perfect hosts ! At first we couldn't find the place and we only had a few kilometers of gasoline left in the tank. So Judith came to pick us (even though it was 23 O'Clock in the evening), up and saved our day! The place was perfect as described in the pictures . It is is very clean, spacious and we had everything we needed! Although it is situated in the nature there is still much to do in the surroundings (wine tasting, visit the local markets or just relax at the swimming pool). I would recommend this place to everyone! You will get a warm welcome of Judith and her husband (and there dog Muffin).

  • Judith’s beautiful barn conversion is a fantastic find in the quiet and peaceful French countryside. It is convenient for many Burgundy vineyards with some superb examples in driving distance. The property is spacious and comfortable and provides all the necessary amenities. Highly recommended if you want a quiet relaxing holiday or are looking for a comfortable base to explore the beautiful French countryside.

  • Judith and Christopher are incredibly nice hosts. They made everything in their power to make our stay the best moment possible! They organised us a new barbeque within a day as the old was broken, invited us over to their place for a welcome drink on the first evening and recommended a very nice restaurant in Couches! The location is how it is described in the middle of nowhere, but still close enough to small town where you can find restaurants and supermarkets. We had an incredibly relaxing time and would return there any time! Thank you both of you ;-)

  • We had a delightful time in this rural country setting, with cows looking at us from across the fence, a lovely pool to swim in each day... If it is the country you want you can not do (URL HIDDEN) traffic noise...A real retreat! Thank you Judith & Chris

  • Rik and Helma were lovely and our 3 girls (age 7 -14) all loved the wagon. They are more spacious than they look. The location is very quiet but beautiful. Rik and Helma recommended places to visit, including a swimming lake. We wished we were staying longer. Will hopefully return.

    emma2016-08-15T00:00:00Z

  • Claude's place was cute and cozy with plenty of room for 4 guests. It's in a very quite, cute country town... closest restaurant is a few miles away and everything closes up pretty early, so be sure to stop at the super market on the way in. • We stayed here for only one night. The accommodation was clean and Marie who met us was very friendly.

  • We really loved our stay in this house. Everything is new, tidy and clean and the garden is lovely. It's a great place for people looking for relax and peace. The only thing to keep in mind is that house rules are very strict, so I would recommend it only to disciplined people.

  • We were made very welcome by Damien when we arrived. The place was beautifully clean and well equipped. A gite with real character. The hot tub was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The perfect stop-over for us on our way to Paris.

    Victoria2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Damien was a wonderful host, making regular contact with us to ensure he would be around for our arrival and providing directions when we got slightly lost end route. He took the time to show us round the gite and explain where everything was and how it worked. We asked for some recommendations for things to do and places to eat which were very helpful. We had a lovely dinner at 'au p'tit kir' in nearby st leger, and also sampled the local boulangerie / patisserie which was excellent. The guest manual was full of useful information as well and we had a sensational meal at Le Bouzeran, having found the card in amongst the local flyers / cards which are kept in the gite. The gite itself was very well equipped and warm. We were able to make use of the garden and the hot tub despite the fact we did not have the warmest weather. The surrounding area is stunning and simply driving around from little town to little town, stopping for the occasional coffee/kir was a pleasure. We would recommend this highly as a place to stay and hope to return soon!

  • We booked this house because of the jacuzzi, we had a long trip from the Cote d'Azur, and nothing is better then having a Relaxing jacuzzi in the evening, a Nice bed and good coffee in the morning. Althought the house is very spacious and clean, it did not match any of above wishes: Unfortunatly the temparature of the Jacuzzi was 18 degrees, Heating it took all night and we had to leave early in the morning. The bed was terrible for me, I am 1.86 m tall, and because the bed has a footend, the only possibility is to sleep with your arms around your knees The pillows are to oversized to be comfortable as Well, so we slept on our jackets. there was only one nespresso cup, so we had to share this with the 3 of us. Besides these comments, the garden is great and large. The house has good equipment, airco, heating, massage shower, kitchen equipment, towels etc. Also it was cleaned Well.

  • Very nice place!

  • Janet puts the bnb in Airbnb. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We arrived and were promptly offered drinks and cookies in a beautiful country setting. Our kids picked blackberries and played in the yard. We had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable room. Breakfast was amazing. Just like the picture. This place is a gem in the countryside.

  • Janet and John really are heart warming people. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. And that's what bed and breakfasts are all about for us. Sharing experiences with wonderful, welcoming people. The room was clean and tidy, the beds were great, the bathroom was fully equipped and wonderfully prepped, there were plenty of toys for the children, the environment was quiet and sereen... and the breakfast was exquisite. A definite gem. PS: Thank you for the wonderful experience, Janet and John. Good luck in your further endeavours. Hopefully we'll meet again.

  • Very nice and cosy location, great view and scenery. We stayed for 4 days and the B&B was clean , had good beds. Janet (and John) were taking very much care off us. Great location to start several biking routes (very close to a voie verte !)

  • What can I say about staying with Janet and John. They couldn't have been nicer folks and their home is simple, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The setting is gorgeous (even on a grey and slightly rainy day), and the breakfast was worth the price of the rental in itself! Abundant, fresh and all homemade. Just delicious. Couldnt recommend this more highly. Its a real gem of a place and perfect for a stop en route from Geneva to Paris

  • It was a pleasure staying with John and Janet. Right from our first meeting they made us feel welcome and at home. Janet made reservations for us at local restaurants and her breakfasts were delicious. It was like staying with old friends. Thanks for a fantastic weekend.

Ideally located in the heart of farming village of Morlet. We are between the beautiful Morvan National Park and Beaune. Our location gives our guests easy access to the vineyards and beautiful wine villages of Pommard, Meursault, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet ...........etc. We are just off the Voie Verte (the greenway) for walking and cycling. Secure storage for bikes is available in our barn. We are very close to Chateau Fretoy Morlet with its superb Restaurant Pure - popular with our guests after sight seeing, wine tasting or cycling. It is possible to visit a different market virtually every morning in the surrounding area. Many guests return to stay with us again because they discover how much there is to see and do in the area and then they enjoy returning to the peace and quiet back at their holiday home here in Morlet. Available to rent all year round with good insulation and heating.
  • We went to Morlet with our two children (12 and 14 year). We had a wonderfull time. The old restaurated barn was beautyfull and clean. Just perfect, everything we needed was in the house. The supermarket and bakery was 10 min. by car but driving is a pleasure in this lovely area. We did a lot off sightseeing: Beaune, Rocheport, Autun, the Morvan. Rodney and Lesley where very kind and helpfull, all you need from a hostess. Thank you. Fam. Jozefzoon from Amsterdam

  • Such a great find! Lesley and Rodney have created a beautiful space in their old farmhouse which is perfect for a relaxing weekend in the French countryside. We went as 2 young couples and it was perfect! The space was amazingly clean and everything looked brand new. They were kind to connect the 2 twin beds for us, provided fresh bread for the first morning, and told us where to go and what to do. We visited 2 different wine festivals over the weekend, and had such a great time. While it's situated in a tiny town and requires a car to visit it's well worth it. I hope we have the chance to return!

  • We arrived to a very very warm welcome. Our hosts were perfect, friendly and full of local information. As two retired couples, we found the accommodation to be very comfortable and we were made to feel at home immediately. We arrived on a Sunday late afternoon tired after the long drive so we were glad we chose to add the addition of a meal on arrival. A wonderful beef bourganon and chicken chasseur awaited us with fresh French bread and fabulous cheese selection - oh and plenty of local red wine to complement the meal! (We later bought a box of this from the local winery!) We all slept very well and went for a morning walk around the pretty area. We noticed there were many walks you could do right from the accommodation. The area is very friendly. Everyone we passed said 'Bonjour' There is a local village a short drive away for basic supplies and pretty villages, chateaux's and wineries all around. We chose to visit Autun for lunch. This we felt was not to be missed. A gorgeous town with a cathedral and very pretty streets. Lunch is good value we found here. We arrived back later to have a cuppa in the garden and decided to rest 'at home' and put on one of the videos available. All the home channels were available too so we could watch the Grand Prix and anything else we didn't want to miss. I must also say that it was extremely peaceful there. After being on the road all day that was a bonus. After 11pm the skies are dark enough to see the Milky Way and the odd shooting star. Unfortunately our two nights were cloudy, but I'm hoping to return to this gorgeous place one day!! A big thank you to our hosts for their kindness.

  • We've stayed in Airbnbs all over the world and Lesley's may be the best. Four of us stayed for 3 nights. Wished we could stay for a month. Roger and Lesley have put great effort and tremendous consideration into every detail of converting their Gite for guest's comfort. Bottle of local wine, butter and milk waiting for us in the ultra modern fully appointed kitchen. Perfect recommendation for a run and best bakery. Washing machine, cooking appliances all top grade. Every Airbnb is unique and one size never fits all. If you want to be in the centre of action and nightlife Lesley's is not for you. But if you want to explore the Burundian countryside it is perfect.

  • A lovely quiet place to stay, a rural location but easy day trips or a chance just to relax and enjoy. Lesley and Rodney are wonderful hosts, we appreciated that after we mentioned we were going to catch up on laundry they went out and got a washing line and more pegs. A very comfortable place to stay, with everything we needed.

    Anne2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely - even nicer than advertised! Lesley and Rodney were very flexible and friendly and greeted us with local wine on arrival! We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay.

  • ExcEllen stay at lesley's place. Beautiful garden, beautiful and new and well decorated place with two bedrooms and their private bathrooms. Quite little village with a castle around the corner. Our young daughters had the time of their life thanks to the little kitten "trouble" from next door. Lesley and her husband were very nice and explained us all we needed to know. Nothing to say ;-)

Goede restaurants. Aanraders zijn Le Chateaubriant in Autun en Le Dauphiné in Arnay-le-Duc.
  • The host for this site was easy to get in touch with and very helpful by giving several suggestions of places to visit and eat. The description was accurate and exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood was beautiful and the house was just the same. We have three young children and it was just perfect for our family.

  • This place is a French countryside dream come true! We loved our stay at this quirky little cottage in a peaceful village in Burgundy. The listing is accurate and the owners could not have been more helpful about every aspect of our stay there. The cottage is well-equipped and the garden is a wonderful place to spend an entire day. Everything is presented in a laid-back atmosphere that makes you immediately feel at home. The only problem with this place is that you have to eventually leave it and return to normal life!

  • We loved staying in this charming, comfortable home in the beautiful, quiet countryside. Communications and check in with Ton and Dorien were easy and flexible, and they provided comprehensive information on how best to enjoy our stay. The house is well equipped, and we had everything we needed for a wonderful visit.

PINOT BLANC is one of 3 identical delightful apartments for couples situated on the first floor of the farmhouse barn. It has a private balcony with outside furniture, gas BBQ and wonderful views over fields with grazing Charolais cattle and forests.
These apartments are completely independent and self-contained. They each have a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and separate shower, living/dining room, mezzanine bedroom, central heating, private balcony with gas BBQ and facilities, all with stunning views over the countryside

  • We had a wonderful time staying with Judith and Christopher. They are excellent hosts, and we had a lot of fun. They gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat in the area. The apartment t is vey comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Our back decl looked out over the farmland with the cows and the beautiful sunsets. The front deck, perfect for breakfast looks over the courtyard and pool.. Judith's communication with us was great. We loved the surrounding area, pretty little villages and the canal, great to watch the canal boats. Thank you very much for a great experience. Sue and Chas. New Zealand

  • Our stay at one of Judith and Chris' apartments could was wonderful. They greeted us warmly on arrival, even though we were an hour later than we thought, showed us around the property/apartment and then invited us in for a wine and a chat - which was wonderful. We were able to make full use of the apartments amenities - cooking our breakfasts and dinners and sitting on the private balcony to enjoy the sunsets. The views of the surrounding farm lands - filled with cattle and baby calves was perfect. The drive into Beaune and to other surrounding towns and quaint villages was also easily done everyday. Would 100% recommend this apartment to others and would also enjoy being able to return - hopefully next time in the summer to make use of the pool

A recommander!

In the heart of Burgundy lies a charming, hilly area between the vineyards of the Côte d’Or and natural park Le Morvan. Manoir Bonpassage is a small 'hotel de charme' with lovely swimmingpool and is located in the countryside at only 25 km from Beaune and Autun, amongst picturesque French villages in a peaceful setting. Karel & Marja Brummer, the Dutch owners, will be pleased to welcome you in a warm and personal ambiance.
Tourist Tax: 0,90 euro per person per night. Manoir Bonpassage is a restored 19th century manor house with its own special style and character on the edge of the village of Thury, surrounded by cultural and natural beauty. The hotel has 8 comfortable rooms. There is a lounge, where you can relax after an active day. Here or on the garden terrace, we will be pleased to serve a variety of drinks; from a small espresso to a good glass of real burgundy wine. And a nice swimming pool is at your disposal. In our small and cosy dining room, a quality ‘home cooked’ dinner is served upon reservation on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. In summer, it is possible to have dinner on the garden terrace until late in the evening.

The cottage is a large family house built in the late 19th century and located on the slope of a sunny hillside, surrounded by vineyards and meadows, and ideally located to visit the region. The house for a group up to 16 people consists of 5 bedrooms, a large living-roon, a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 separated toilets, a garage for 2 cars and bike space. Outside you will find a large enclosed garden with a swing, a balcony and a large covered terrace with a barbecue.
The house offers a panoramic view of the Cozanne valley, the Maranges hills, and the mount of "Trois Croix". It also benefits from a large private garden of (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) square feet) with a swing and "terrain de boules", an old barn with a large auwning with garden furniture facilities, and a garage for 2 cars (or several motobikes and bikes).
Located in the small village of Créot in the "Hautes Côtes de Beaune", nestled between the mounts Rome and Rème.
  • Great family home with a lot of character. We enjoyed the great views, the outdoor dining space and the garden. Great for big groups and families.

A 13 ha (45 acre) estate including a private lake, forest , meadows, dovecot, old watermill, huntinglodge (holidayhome) and an abandoned Midieval castle. In between the Maison de Maitre (our home) and the B&B / Maison the Gardien (the coach house) is the symmetrical garden.
ZOOVER AWARD 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 with an average of 9.3
  • This is such a great place to stay at. Jitske and Matt were both super welcoming and nice. We arrived late in the evening so unfortunately we missed the dinner. The guest rooms are very nice and clean and equipped with old furniture which i love and the common spaces are super cozy. The castle itself is a gem and we were lucky enough to get a little private tour with some background stories from Jitske. Will definitely be back when the weather is better and we can see more of the castle:) thanks for the great stay!

  • If you want to stay in the woods far from everywhere it's a great place. WIFI and GSM are practically non-existent so you are forced to "relax". However, other than sit around in the shade, there is not much to do. You can look at horses, but not ride them. You can look at a castle, but not go inside. If you want wine tasting, the closest vineyard is 30+ minutes (by car) away (if you drive fast). Anyway, I travel a lot so I can safely say that the cost was about twice the value making this the weakest stage in our little family tour de France.

  • Best stay of our three week trip. This old medieval estate is a little hard to find, but once there it's like a movie set. Mathew has done a beautiful job restoring this property and the rooms and facilities are equal to the finest premium hotels, except that everything is in new condition. The hosts are wonderful and if you're lucky you'll get a tour of the old castle.

Burgundy is well known for its vineyards, the most famous wine villages are Pommard, Meursault and of course Beaune, its all within 30 minutes reach. The Roman city of Autun, Cluny with the old Abbey are worth while. Walking, biking (Voie Verte), golf (five 18 holes golfcourses) visiting castles, winetasting. Dijon the Capital of Burgundy and Lyon are cities with a rich history. The Morvan (national Park) with Bribracte (archaeological excavation)
  • This is a great out of the way place, but still easy access to towns & sites. The property is quiet and lovely - with quality work having been done on the renovated buildings. The hosts were welcoming and provided a great environment to relax, a very comfortable room and a group breakfast for a chance to meet new people. Walking around the property was fun because of the size, wonderful buildings and history. This is a unique gem and feel lucky to have found it. The skies at night were fantastic because there is no light pollution.

  • We really loved this property. The hosts were very welcoming and the buildings and land were beautiful. It was very picturesque. We would definitely want to come back to this listing. The owners were very knowledgeable about the history of the property and gave us a very interesting tour of the castle that they are currently repairing. The amenities were wonderful. They had a large bathroom, which can be hard to come by in Europe and the building we stayed in had a sitting room with a fire place and a kitchen. We were very pleased with this listing.

Full of character, PIGEONNIER is an independent small house converted from a former stable with the addition of a round tower. It is situated on the far side of the courtyard and herb garden with views over the surrounding countryside.
EN LA MARRE is a 19thC farmhouse converted by the resident owners, Judith and Chris, into six delightful, independent apartments for couples. They all have their own individual characters with the personal effects and antiques of the owners, plenty of books to read and a music system. There is a short flight of slightly steep stairs to the first floor of the PIGEONNIER apartment, therefore it is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems
  • Nice location to explore Burgundy and to relax at the pool. Christopher and Judith made us feel very welcome.
