  • Would highly recommend this loft accommodation and would consider using again. Everything we needed for a few days away to explore St Austell and walk a few clay trails. Warm clean and modern. All appliances you have at home were provided. Enjoyed the shower and large tv but wrong time of year to use outside decking area.

  • Beautiful Flat; clean, tidy, appliances - I like to iron my clothes and previously in another Airbnb there was no iron or ironing board! So that was great for myself. We were travelling this way to visit The Eden Project which was a 20 minute drive from the flat, very easy to get to. The communication between myself and Janice was really easy, quick responses and there were no problems at all. Overall the pictures is what you get and we didn’t expect anything less ☺️

  • As this was booked as a surprise present for my girlfriend, I would just like to say thank you for making her weekend so special. This really was the perfect getaway for us both and we have both made memories that will stay with us for a very long time. Thank you again and can’t wait to return!

The Bakehouse is a friendly & colourful place to stay, a welcoming & relaxed base for a short break or longer holiday. It provides self-contained loft-style accommodation, with kitchen & dining space and shower room on the ground floor and bedroom & living upstairs. It is ideally located to explore Cornwall, within hiking distance of the Eden Project and short drives from Charlestown, Lanhydrock or Heligan. Set in an acre and half of smallholding & wilderness, guests are free to wander......
Converted from our former bakehouse, and still sporting a semi-commercial kitchen, there’s space to relax, wind down & maybe even do some baking - it’s all there for you....
Penwithick has an excellent local shop & post office, a fish & chip shop and a social club. The clay trails are nearby, making it possible to walk off road to The Eden Project or Wheal Martyn or even into St Austell. There is an hourly bus service into St Austell town centre and the main line train station.

The Hay Loft is a delightful Cornish retreat nestled in the valley surrounded by farm land with views overlooking green fields. It offers light and airy first floor accomodation, private veranda and parking. Local attractions include the Eden Project, just a few miles via the Clay trails, Charlestown and Lanhydrock to name but a few which are a short drive away. The valley is a haven for wildlife with pheasants, owls, wild geese and deer.
Lavrean is a small hamlet about 5 miles outside St Austell and 6 miles from Bodmin. The Hayloft is next to the barn where the owners live, and is surrounded by farmland. If you want tranquillity and seclusion, yet still be close to attractions like the Eden Project, Lanhydrock, and the lost gardens of Heligan, then this is a great place to stay.
  • Lovely space. Exceptionally clean. Friendly hosts. Great stay!

    Richard2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely week at The Loft. Penny and Andy were so welcoming and friendly; there were some thoughtful touches such as a cream tea and a jug of flowers. The flat was compact but very imaginatively decorated and perfectly situated for visiting the area. There is lots to see and do within an hour's drive - The Eden Project is a must as is Tintagel and Lanhydrock is interesting to look around, the cycle tracks are great fun.

    Karen2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you like a quiet space all to yourself, this is perfect. The hay loft was unique, spotless, tastefully decorated and felt like a home-from-home. It exceeded our expectations and we wanted for nothing. I strongly recommend staying here. Penny was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.

    Ruth2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was wonderful. We were greeted in person and shown around. There was lovely extra touches like cream tea and milk and fruit in the kitchen and the space was peaceful, beautiful and very clean. I would absolutely recommend!

    Christina2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful lodge with great views. Ideal for a few days away and is perfectly placed to explore all areas of Cornwall with relative ease. Penny & Andy we’re great hosts and the lodge had everything we needed including a bbq which we made good use of. The cream team on arrival was a nice touch too. Definitely recommend.

    Ben2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Penny is an excellent host. The Hay Loft is spacious, clean and conveniently located. The little touches such as fresh flowers and cream tea went down a treat. It’s been a lovely weekend in Cornwall and I could recommend this place more

  • We had a lovely two night stay here! Absolutely stunning settings, unbelievably quiet! Penny was so helpful and gave us some really nice recommendations for dinner! Would definitely stay here again.

    Brook2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • A very enjoyable & comfortable stay in Penny & Andys' Hayloft, a unique bright & clean holiday accommodation space they've created. Penny & Andy are excellent hosts, happy to chat & offer recommendations but without being intrusive. Arriving to a cream tea was a fabulous touch. We enjoyed trips to Fowey (including a fabulous 5 mile circular coastal & river walk using the passenger ferry across to Polruan & return ferry at Bodinnick), Charlestown, Polperro, Mevagissey, Portmellon & the Eden Project. Fowey & Port Mellon great paddle boarding & kayak spots, with gear for hire if you don't have your own).

Most certainly a romantic getaway for two, the Salt Loft is a beautiful, conveniently appointed apartment which is located right within the heart of Fowey, offering the most perfect escape for two. Cleverly, stylishly designed containing bespoke, luxurious, comfortable furnishings and antique accents. A 55” flat screen Smart TV in the lounge and bedroom. Lovingly restored and intuitively designed with its mood lighting, the overall accommodation has an intimate, exquisite, opulent feel.
It's just the most perfect little attic loft. Most guests don't want to leave!
Fowey is an estuary river town, so the obvious thing to do is spend a day messing about on the water! There are many kayak, canoe, and boat hire centres that go from both Quays. If you don’t have the strongest sea legs, then why not just take the passenger ferry over to Polruan for an afternoon! If you fancy going a little further, you can take the ferry round to Mevagissey too.

  • We really love this place. A stunning location on the old harbour. The studio has been decorated to the highest standards. It is immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable. Antonia and David were brilliant hosts and were extremely helpful. We will definitely return and would recommend it without hesitation.

    Laurence2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is sparkling clean and full of all the amenities one needs, a lovely rain shower and comfortable bed. The weather was wet during out stay so didn't get a chance to enjoy the garden but it looked like a lovely spot to hang out in the sunshine. Look forward to our next visit in the spring or summer!

    Antoine2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation. Super clean and modern with lovely finishing touches. Located right next to the harbour and beach. Great restaurants and pubs with a lovely friendly atmosphere. A must stay place if you want to experience local Cornish life. Highly recommend.

    Darren2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Studio is perfect! Situated at the heart of the little harbour of Charlestown, it is beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful little touches. I’d recommend the breakfast box - again, beautifully presented and well thought out. We had dinner at the Longstore on Antonia’s recommendation and would recommend it anyone staying. We had a lovely walk up the coastal path in the morning which took us to some beautiful beaches and secluded views. It really was a wonderful experience and we hope to be back next year!

    Francesca2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • This space is truly beautiful with impeccable design. We wish we had longer to enjoy both the studio and the stunning setting. The personal touches and recommendations provided were amazing. If we are in the area again we won’t hesitate to book the studio again.

Due to Covid19 dates in April and May have been restricted and we are not taking bookings for these months as we will be closed. Please message us should you have a booking enquiry. Stunning studio loft apartment situated just 200 metres from the sea and beach. Wake up to the view of the Sea. Self contained, self catering with kitchen. Private access to apartment from Top Road. High spec finish within. Wifi with all the mod cons! Minimum 2 night stay.
Wake up to the sea at the end of your bed! Some low sloping ceilings due to it being a loft. Always cleaned to a very high standard.
Small friendly community with great local facilities. This is the best place in Cornwall to spend your summer holiday. I know I am biased as I have lived here for 30 years but honestly, it really is! Downderry has a shop, cafe, pub and restaurant all just 1 minutes walk from the house. The pub 'The Inn On The Shore' is situated right on the sea front and is a great place to enjoy local ales over looking the sea. The shop is a good size and has everything you might need with daily deliveries of fresh food as well as a post office. There is a very popular vegetarian cafe called 'Something Different' in the middle of the village. The Blue Plate restaurant is stunning and very popular locally with an excellent reputation for good food and service, it also has a deli that is open daily. Downderry beach is just 100 metres from the loft which is a family friendly beach used by many of the locals. It is sandy with a few pebbles here and there and has lovely rock pools on low tide to explore. Perfect place for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and snorkelling. You can walk all along the beach from Downderry to Seaton. Seaton Beach is just half a mile West of Downderry and is lifeguarded by the RNLI from May - September. Seaton also has 1 bistro beach bar, 1 pub, beach cafe, toilet facilities, children play area including a multi games area and a country park with river valley walks so plenty to do. Just 6 miles to the East the stunning Whitsand Bay is a must. 5 miles of golden sands at Low tide. Adventure Bay Surf School operate from Tregonhawke Beach. It has 4 lifeguarded beaches along its coastline. Just check tide times and swim at the lifeguarded beach in between the red and yellow flags. The area is known for its good surfing waves and subsequent rip currents. Kingsand and Cawsand are beautiful and. Stones throw from Whitsand Bay. Lovely little fishing villages with cobbled streets over looking the mouth of Plymouth Sound. Close by is Mount Edgecombe County Park which has a stately home and gardens to explore as well as a restaurant in its orangery. From Cremyll you can get a foot ferry to Royal William Yard which is over the river Tamar within Plymouth. It is a former vittaling yard which has been converted in to stunning restaurants, bars, and Shops. Well worth a visit. The Hoe and the Barbican area of Plymouth are also well worth a visit, the view of Plymouth Sound from on top of the Hoe is fantastic. To the West along the coast you have the popular villages and towns of Looe, Polperro and Polruan and Fowey. All beautiful quaint Cornish coastal locations. If visiting Fowey avoid the crowds and car parking headaches by driving to Polruan on the East side of the Fowey river and get the foot ferry from the harbour over to Fowey. Everything in Fowey is walking distance. The car park at Polruan at the top of the hill is one of the most beautiful locations of any car park in the U.K. I would think! It looks out over St Austell Bay and down the Fowey River. Try it and see! On Wednesdays in the summer you can go on board a guided tour of the RNLI Lifeboat for a donation of your choice. To get to the North Coast of Cornwall is around 1 hour for places like Polzeath, Perranporth. St Ives a little further at about 1.5 hour drive. The Eden Project is about a 1 hour drive. Large supermarkets can be found at Liskeard (Morrisons) Saltash (Waitrose) Plymouth (Sainsbury's/Tesco/Asda). All but Morrisons do online ordering and home delivery to Downderry if you need to do a large grocery shop while you are here. So much to see and do both close by and a little further a field.
  • The whole loft was in perfect order and The cooking facilities were wonderful for us to have a home cooked meal and everything was in working order. Everything was wonderfully clean and felt like home and that all adds to the desire as a guest to leave it as we we found it. If you want a little nook and cranny to hide away then I’d whole heartedly recommend.

  • The place was a lot bigger than expected. Everything was very local and it's a beautiful town to visit. The place was exceptionally clean and a lovely place to spend time in due to the homely touches from Danielle. Danielle was a brilliant host, she helped me out when I first arrived and even found my wallet for me after I had left.

  • We had a nice time at the storm barn during the Easter weekend. The barn has modern and stylish decor, and is very clean. There is a small area outside where we were able to have a barbecue. We found that the hosts had thought of many nice/ useful touches: bottle of wine on arrival, tips about the local area (we loved Padstow Farmshop in particular), fast WiFi, clothes horse (good for drying swimsuits), tin foil and other useful amenities. We would love to come back again in future.

  • My husband and I stayed at Geri’s 14th - 15th September with our 1 year old son and two teenage stepsons. Firstly the cost of the loft room and one extra bedroom was very reasonable. Geri was great with communicating before we arrived and went the extra mile with providing tea and cake when we arrived. The house is beautiful and has a brilliant quirky style that we loved. The rooms tidy, clean and stylish. Beds very comfy. The location is 5-10 minute walk from the town centre. Geri made sure we had everything we needed and we felt very welcome there. We would definitely recommend staying here and will return the next time we are visiting. Thank you both for having us all!

    Claire2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Geri's place is an ideal base to walk into Liskeard and access the surrounding area and sights. Geri was a wonderfully friendly host, looked after us and made us really welcome. The loft had everything we needed and what it didn't have Geri provided quickly. Wonderful place.

If you like the idea of open plan loft living then Stargazer's 35 ft long studio apartment offers ample room to relax, in Polruan with great views of Cornwall's sailing town of Fowey and the river on one side, and the English Channel on the other.
The apartment offers bright, clean and spacious, self contained accommodation with your own kitchen and bathroom, ideal for a couple with an additional daybed for one extra guest. We accept bookings for 2 or more nights for most of the year, 3 in July and August. Stargazer is at the top of School Lane in Polruan with the entrance off St Saviour's Hill. The apartment is within 20 steps of the South West Coast Path to Polperro and a few minutes walk from the Polruan quay where you can take the ferry to Fowey. Through the gate you enter a quiet courtyard with steps up to the balcony and entrance door. The courtyard is yours to make use of during your stay and the balcony is a south facing sun trap ideal for watching the ships go by. Once inside you will find a fully fitted bathroom, there is a bath with shower over, hand basin and heated towel rail. On the same floor is the kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge and everything you need to cater for yourselves. Both rooms have beautiful uninterrupted sea views and catch the sun all day. Upstairs you will find the loft studio with a new double bed for 2020, daybed, comfortable lounge seating and a study area with desk. There is a TV with freeview channels. The five roof skylights bring in plenty of light and offer 360 degree views. On a clear night Stargazer earns the name as you can study the star-filled sky stretching far out to sea.
We live on the South West Coast path in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and our village has beautiful walks through the woods and along the coast. The sailing town of Fowey is a 5 minute ferry ride away with lovely shops and restaurants. The most beautiful beach at Lantic Bay is about an hour's walk away, or a short boat ride, and you can continue on to picturesque Polperro and Looe - both also reachable by car or boat. Bodmin Moor is a drive away offering fantastic walks and wild scenery. Polruan is a friendly village and an ideal place from which to explore all aspects of life in Cornwall, walking, sailing, fishing, surfing, lounging on the beach, eating great local food and clotted cream teas.
  • Great loft apartment, fantastic views, well equipped, friendly and helpful hosts :)

  • Such a beautiful spot to come for a getaway - whether from outside of Cornwall or looking for a weekend away from your own place. I got to be a tourist in my own county and enjoyed every minute. Sonia and Tony were lovely hosts and easily contactable. Beautiful and clean space.

    Kirsty2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Sonia and Tony's place. Was just as lovely and relaxing as the first time. Highly recommended.

    Tushar2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great views, brilliant stars.

    Alan2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in nearly 30 Airbnb's, and this was easily the most beautiful. The mouth of the river on one side, and the ocean on the other. It was a view we won't ever forget. The bedroom was beautiful and decorated so well, the kitchen had all the amenities of home, and the bathroom supplied more than the bare minimum. They provided nice body wash etc. The apt is within a fairly easy walking distance to the town and ferry to Fowey, but it might be a hilly struggle for the elderly or out of shape (like all of England, nothing worse), and it felt safe and familiar at night. Please note that most apartments around england do not have screens on the windows, and on ocean front spaces this invites some truly unwelcome insect company. The windows beg to be open, but just be aware that insects are alive and well and ready to enjoy your vacation with you if you let your guard down! Honestly I'd recommend this place to anyone/everyone.

  • Amazing loft with great views to both the harbour and the sea from every window of the house. Everything is quite new as well. Parking can be tricky if you go on a busy period, since the closest car park may be full. Apart from that, Polruan is a great small village. If we go back, we would definitely stay here again.

  • Lovely flat with great views, in a beautiful location. A perfect stay!

    Pari2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the beautiful, stylish loft! The views were incredible and the space very comfortable and clean. We were there during a very stormy weekend and stayed snug and safe while the wind blew. When the sun returned we even used the little balcony at the top of the steps and loved the sea views too. Many thanks Jan and Mark xx

    Sally2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic stay in beautiful space, much bigger than we expected and beautifully decorated! Good location for getting around and parking easy! Loved our time in cornwall.

    Georgia2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space. It's much bigger than we anticipated and the decor is exactly the sort of thing my partner and I would go for. It's full of little touches and is very "shabby chic" stylish. It was a great base to explore northern Cornwall with everything you would need and some amazing villages no more than 30 minutes away by car. We couldn't have wished for better. Thank you for having us.

    Dan2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very central location, close to all the main amenities in the area

    Graham2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay and loved the loft, it was stunning! Lots of thoughtful touches I’m sure we will be aback again another time x Thank you

    Heidi2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate booking this loft. It’s gorgeous !! Great location - just minutes away from beaches, Tintagel, St Nectan’s Glen etc. Really central place. The loft is spotlessly clean, has every home comfort and is stylish and practical. Naomi was extremely helpful and responsive.

    Elaine2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spacious home from home. Totally loved it. If you want Ritz style accommodation then this is not for you but if you want stylish comfortable surroundings where you can relax then this place is a must. A huge open plan living area with some really funky touches. The bedroom on a mezzanine style floor has a wonderful view but do remember to drop the blind as you will (like me) display more than you might care to with the people waiting at the traffic lights! Ooops! We had a party (just the 2 of us) on our last night for my birthday and had the disco lights on along with music played through the speakers, great fun. There is everything there should you want to cook but with so much on offer locally we didn't bother. The village has all you can need with a CO-OP and a Spar, butchers, pasty shop (really delicious) cafe, take aways plus a pub that has really friendly staff and serves amazing food. If you stay before Sept 2019 you might meet Tom who works there... a real character! Camelford is a very pretty village with a lovely riverside walk and a great place as a base camp for getting out and about and visiting the beautiful Cornish countryside. Would we stay again...100%.

The Studio is situated close to Holywell bay, near Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall with its lovely beaches, the area is great for walking, cycling or just chilling. It is self contained with a comfortable double bed & a bed settee, which is suitable for children, it has its own kitchenette & ensuite bathroom. WE ARE HAPPY TO TAKE DOGS, SUBJECT TO A £5 PER NIGHTCHARGE PER DOG. Please note that although the listing is for 4 people that the studio is only suitable for a maximum 3 adults.
The studio is a completely self contained loft with a small decking area where you may sit & enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sunshine, it is unfortunately not suitable for disabled or infirm guests, being accessed via an external staircase. It is about 1 mile from Holywell bay & Polly joke cove, both of which you can walk to via National trust footpaths. Newquay & Perranporth are about 5 miles away, whilst Truro is around 10 miles away, Newquay airport has regular flights from many parts of the UK & is about 7 miles away. The studio is very comfortable (we lived in it for 2 years whilst rebuilding our house) although the surrounding grounds are a work in progress, so please don't expect manicured gardens. The studio is an ideal base for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, wildlife watching & general coastal living. We have bikes for hire at discounted rates for guests of the studio. We have a surf school at Holywell bay for those that wish to learn, Lee the owner has been head lifeguard for over 25 years. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Tumble Dryer * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. We will provide a welcome pack for our guests, to include a few essentials for your arrival. We only ask that you accept that we can be extremely busy at times due to having a business to run, we in return will respect your privacy & if you do not wish to interact with us that is perfectly fine. We live in a very wild & beautiful part of Cornwall, the area can be both hot & sunny & also wild & stormy, both beautiful in their own way. Holywell bay has been used as a setting for many films & TV dramas including Die another day (James Bond), Summer in February, Poldark & the recent Jamaica inn tv drama, it is characterised by the twin peaks of Gull (or Carter) rocks & has beautiful golden sands. Polly joke ( or Porth joke) is a beautiful little hidden cove. There are several great pubs & restaurants within walking distance if you should wish to eat out or go for a quiet drink. Buses run on a regular basis from the village which is 10 minutes walk away, there is also a local taxi service.
Although we are only 4 miles from the surf capital of the UK, Newquay, we are in a quiet idyllic area surrounded by nature, you are guaranteed a wonderful nights sleep only to be awoken with bird song. We have footpaths starting almost outside our gate, taking you to our local beaches via the local common, a 350 acre National Trust wildlife haven.
  • Great place would highly recommend

  • Thanks to Gail and Pete for being great hosts. The studio was exactly as described and a brilliant base to explore the Newquay area of Cornwall with its fantastic beaches. The studio was clean, welcoming and had some lovely touches, we loved their honey from their own bees! The recommendation for The Smuggler’s Rest was spot on, the best fish and chips I can remember eating in years. Thanks for some wonderful Cornwall memories 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place this is! Ideal for a relaxing retreat with lovely amenities and excellent easy walking in a very scenic part of Cornwall. Pete and Gail were perfect hosts. We'd love to visit again one day!

    Harry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice affordable loft close to Newquay and beaches. Fresh eggs and bread left by the host were fantastic.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to "The Loft" and we loved it just as much as the first time. We visited for new year this time (29th Dec to the 5th of January) and Pete and Gail went to the effort of decorating the studio with a tree and lights etc. making it even cosier! Pete and Gail are incredibly welcoming and always close by if you need anything but also are happy to leave you to it, giving you your own space. We love the fact that this place is far enough out that it is quiet and homely while also being close enough to Newquay (about a 10 minute drive) and walking distance from the beach. We would recommend this stay to anyone.. and bring your dog's, they'll love it too!

    Emma2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is beautiful and so clean, the extras were a lovely touch. It felt like we were at home and Gail and Pete are both lovely and welcoming, if your looking for a nice place to stay look no further. It’s peaceful and relaxing. Dogs are also welcome which is an added bonus. See you again soon

Sanderling B&B is located on the Rock Road, near the shops and approximately 1 mile from Rock seafront. Only a short drive to St. Enodoc and Roserrow Golf Clubs, the Camel estuary, Polzeath, Daymer and the SW coastal path.
The Pebbles Room is a peaceful room with a comfortable king size bed, located in the eaves of our large detached garage. It has an oak table and chairs and a flat-screen TV. There is a private fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave and an area of work-surface to prepare snacks. I provide crockery, cutlery and glasses. It is not a full kitchen and does not have a sink upstairs, however an area designed for you to prepare a snack or warm a ready meal. The room has electric heating and hard floors. Downstairs there is a private shower room with toilet and basin. These rooms have their own lockable front door. The rooms are offered on a room only basis, however I will provide tea, coffee and cereal. We have an excellent bakery only 300m down the road and there are numerous places for breakfast in the village. Well behaved dogs are welcome and we have a large garden and field to exercise them. I just kindly ask that you do not leave them in the room unattended.
Rock is located on the stunning Camel Estuary and offers many water based leisure pursuits including sailing, water-skiing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sea safaris tours and fishing trips. It has some fine restaurants, bars and shops. St. Enodoc Golf Club and Roserrow are both a short distance from Sanderling. The surfing beach of Polzeath is approx 2 miles from Rock. This beach is patrolled by lifeguards from Easter until the end of October and very popular with families. Padstow is only a short ferry ride across the estuary and has many Restaurants including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Nathan Outlaw has Restaurants in Port Isaac, which has been made famous by the TV show Doctor Martin and is only 9 miles from Rock.
  • An ideal location, a self contained setup above a garage. Cosy and clean, just what we wanted. Sarah was a warm and engaging host. Will certainly cone again.

  • The Loft is the perfect place for a short break with a small dog. The beach is half an hours walk and there is a shop and a great (dogfriendly) pub very close to the accommodation. Sarah is a very welcoming host and on hand for anything you need.

  • A 15 minute walk to the beach, no need to drive. Stock up at supermarket before hand as local shops are quite expensive. Local spar, deli, pub and fish and chip shop all walking distance. Nice place for a base to stay and explore Padstow and Rock, excellent to be able to bring our dog. Ideally could be a microwave and or sink upstairs. Can’t fault hospitality from Sarah

    Scott2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great host everything is spotless and the location is fantastic everything within walking distance we will definitely go back .

    Kevin2019-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was lovely! Very clean, cosy and perfectly located for getting to the beach and Padstow. Milk, coffee, tea, cereal, condiments were just some of the things provided that helped make our stay easy and comfortable. Very private even though it is next to the house, peaceful and all round just lovely. Sarah was a fantastic host providing us with lots of information about shops, bakery’s and places to eat out as well as local taxi and bus services should we need them. She made us feel extremely welcome from the start to end of our trip. With them lovely accommodation and Sarah as the host you cannot go wrong with staying here for a lovely trip to Rock and Cornwall!

A newly built, modern self catering studio within the grounds of the established Kimberley B&B. A unique opportunity to have a full cooked breakfast delivered to your studio ( or in the garden on a sunny morning) A perfect central retreat for people touring Cornwall, or exploring the coastal paths and beaches.
The studio has a personal parking area and entrance, with a large storage cupboard for suitcases, bikes etc. WiFi connection throughout. The stairs take you up to the fully equipped studio with a kingsize bed (which can be divided into twin beds). There is sofa bed to provide extra sleeping for guests. The wall mounted tv with DVD player can be turned to be viewed from the comfortable sofa bed, breakfast bar or lying in bed. The ensuite bathroom has a large walk in shower, sink and toilet. A quiet retreat is found in the window alcove.
St Agnes is a picturesque village, with a wonderful all-year-round welcoming community. It is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are 4 beaches to explore, and miles of stunning coastal scenery. Much of Poldark is filmed on St Agnes Head, which is rugged and beautiful, with a rich mining heritage. (It’s author, Winston Graham, lived and wrote the Poldark novels in Perranporth, just a few miles away. The village has many food outlets, from tiny coffee houses to bistro restaurants, and award -winning real ale pubs.
  • Really nice place. It was well looked after and clean. We had a really nice stay!

    Oliver2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean, and stylish with everything you could need. Great shower and very comfy bed. A VERY easy flat 10 min walk into the village, which I managed perfectly with slightly dodgy knees! Sue and Neil were welcoming and friendly and we will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for something close enough to walk into the village but peaceful for a great nights sleep.

    Beverley2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Kimberley place. The communication with Sue was super easy and quick and the place looked like it does on the picture. The neighborhood is very conveniently located and although it’s lovely neighborhood the studio apartment is very quiet! Would recommend to stay here!

    Aurelija2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had the perfect week in the studio! It was spotless, had absolutely everything we needed and was so peaceful and relaxing. Sue was excellent and responded really quickly whenever we contacted her. The studio is in a great location, only a short walk to the beach. Will definitely be returning, can’t recommend it highly enough!

    Olivia2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great place with great hosts!

    John2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue & Neil are lovely hosts, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Always happy to help if you need any advice on where to go what to do or where to eat. We stayed in the Kimberley suit which is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect within walking distance of the coast line, with stunning views and walks to numerous beaches , in particular we loved Chapel Porth Beach. We would highly recommend staying here and we hope to return soon. David and Debbie

    Debbie2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberley Studio was comfortable, clean and convenient. Everything was as Sue had described from check in to check out. I would recommend this space for those who want some self catering facilities and a bit more space and privacy than a B&B. St Agnes is a delightful village with plenty of restaurants and spectacular walking tracks.

    Maxine2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate to book Sue and Neil’s studio. What a wonderful way to spend a holiday in Cornwall. We fell in love with St Agnes, the coastal walks, the local pubs and the studio. Get the bus to Perranporth Beach, walk the 3.5 miles back to St Agnes along the coastal path, enjoy dinner and drinks at The Taphouse or The Bear Bar, and cosy up at the studio. One of our favourite holidays we’ve ever had!

  • An excellent place to stay, in an ideal location.

    Julie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely, very stylish apartment which was really well equipped. Particularly liked the fully functional, large kitchen and the huge master bedroom with en suite. Also liked the feeling of security with the locked shared entrance to the building. Big TVs in every room offering Netflix and an efficient heating system meant that even on the wettest of Cornish days, there was always something to do. Position at the end of the High St next to the Harbour was spot on with many bars and restaurants close by. Communication with the hosts was easy and they have very kindly offered to post back something my daughter left behind.......Thanks Ian and Niki. Highly recommend!

    Lisa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish apartment (with lovely linens and quality fixtures) in a highly convenient location. The parking permit is a real bonus (lots of properties in this area have no parking). As others have mentioned, there is a bit of "town" noise; a small price to pay for being in the heart of Discovery Quay with fab cocktail bars, restaurants and shops seconds away. Gylly Beach is a max 10 minute walk. The kitchen is especially well equipped; a home cooked Sunday Lunch for our student daughter and her friends was rustled up effortlessly :-)

    Emma2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A great location with numerous restaurants within a minutes walk and free parking nearby. A lovely apartment with great amenities and Ian and Niki were quick with their responses to our questions. We would definitely stay again when we come to Falmouth.

  • Great apartment, good location.

    Daryllyn2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was warm, clean, and located near the central high street shops , pubs and eateries. It had good cooking facilities, dish washer and washing machine. Parking and access to the apartment was pretty easy, and it was located right over a 'Tesco ' mini market. Additional glazing in the main bedroom provided good sound proofing for the early morning rubbish collection and delivery trucks. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot and water pressure good. The location is very central to everything, with places like Lands End, Tintagel, Mevagissy and St Ives only about 1.5hrs in any direction. Loved the place, shame about the weather !

    Philip2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely 3 night stay at Maritime Loft. The apartment is in a great location just a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We loved how bright and modern the apartment is and really clean too. We hope to stay again the next time we visit our son who is studying at Falmouth university.

  • Very dedicated hosts! We were certainly not the simplest guests, since we were traveling with baby and had a few special requests. But Evie really knew a solution and was always available. The location of the apartment is also hard to beat - you have a view of an incredible number of beaches and Newquay. Thanks for a great holiday!

  • This attic flat is stylist clean and in a great location but the best of all is the views both over town and Fistral Beach. Perfect getaway for 2

  • Bryony’s apartment was gorgeous and has everything I could’ve asked for and more. There were lots of lovely touches, some food in the fridge and amazing views. Also, the bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever had the privilege to stay in! Thanks Bryony!

A fresh modern, comfortable apartment with outstanding views across the Cornish country side from all the windows. It is made up of a sitting room, one double bedroom, shower room and kitchenette area. Well behaved pets are welcome.
We are situated on the Lanteglos Highway close to the Ancient harbour town of Fowey. The views from Lanteglos are breathtaking; from the front you can see the National Trust coast near to Lantic Bay’s stunning beach, including Lansallos and Lanteglos Churches and The Gribben Head Day Mark. Look out from the back and there are beautiful views over farmland and hills to Bodmin Moor, Brown Willie and Caradon Hill.
  • Conveniently located home, well equipped, clean, lovely views and friendly helpful hosts.

  • A private, peaceful, self-contained space in a quiet rural location and with lovely views. Fresh, clean, comfortable accommodation throughout - the large bed is particularly comfortable! Made a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area for a few days and I would be very happy to stay here again when visiting this part of Cornwall.

  • Juliet and Jonathan are a lovely and helpful couple. I highly recommend their wonderful accommodation, set in a truly delightful setting in the idyllic Cornish village of Grampound - see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grampound Very handy for exploring Truro and nearby St Austell. I would also strongly recommend Jonathan's cider...

    Matt2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The most charming place to stay, gorgeous loft and such beautiful grounds that Juliet and Jonathan are more than happy for you to wonder around at your leisure. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the orchard and were able to sample some fantastic juices and ciders! They could not have made us feel more at home and whole-heartedly welcomed. We were not only over the moon with the accommodation and the stunning grounds but actually feel lucky to have met such a wonderful family- it really was hard to say goodbye (the awesome dogs definitely added to that). Having pastries left on your doorstep in the morning, to be found when you open the door and are greeted by swallows and total peace- the best! Juliet- you are the sweetest person and an amazing gardener and florist! Jonathan- your enthusiasm for what you do is completely infectious! We learnt loads and had a great time talking to you both, and your lovely children. Thank you so much! We're so glad to have met you all and stayed in your magical place. Five stars and then some! X

  • The Apple Loft was just what I had hoped for... beautifully presented, a lovely location - and a great balance of being in the countryside but with easy access to lots of beaches, pubs, and touristy things. I enjoyed the stay very much and left feeling totally refreshed. As well as a genuinely friendly welcome, I really appreciated the set up of the room (coffee, milk in the fridge, simple/cosy design) as well as the breakfast delivery each day. Finally - the dogs.. lovely, friendly, well behaved - a pleasure to get to fuss them a little!

  • Great place for being situated close to Rock, Polzeath and Padstow etc. Super house and environment, big enough for groups of up to 17, but cleverly split down if smaller groups or a couple. Great tips on where to visit, all mod cons available. In fine weather the garden and balcony lovely to sit out. Toasty warm when cold/wet.

    Libby2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely stay at Tresweden. We tried to book The Loft, for a visit to my sister who lives nearby in Wadebridge, which unfortunately had already been booked out for our dates, but Rachael was very accommodating and offered us the Annex instead. A beautiful bright and airy space, lovely and clean with big comfy superking size bed in the main bedroom and a spacious second bedroom with 3 beds. Perfect for a family. A gorgeous balcony and huge window/balcony doors from the main bedroom, make for lovely views across the Cornish countryside. Large open plan, kitchen/diner living area was a great space. Very modern and perfectly clean. It is worth noting that the water from the taps is not suitable for drinking so do bring some bottled water with you. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour so we didn’t get to enjoy the garden, which was a great size and ideal for children to play in, knowing that they are safe behind the electric gates and boundaries of the property. We had a very friendly welcome from Iain who was happy to suggest some places to eat nearby, and guided me in when I got a bit lost trying to find the place. We will definitely be back, when visiting family again, and are already looking to book again for next June. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • Rachel’s log cabin is just perfect for a self catering holiday. It is large has two double bedrooms and has a very very well equipped kitchen with top of the range equipment and sharp knifes. It is perfect for pets as well. Rachel’s dad lives next door and was brilliant for local tips and helping out if needed. The location is great for local walks and touring the Gower Peninsular. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Rachel for providing such a well appointed home.

    Melville2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is the loveliest property we have seen in our travels. It is stylish, spacious, and modern, and has everything you could possibly need. Iain was so helpful to us, and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Iain & Rachael.

  • Highly recommended accommodation! The space is well equipped, bright, stylish, and modern with a super deck offering amazing views. Awesome hospitality from Iain, who was really helpful with tons of local knowledge and advice to help you make the most of your stay. The loft is brilliantly placed for Rock and Wadebridge, and Padstow and Port Isaac are just a short drive away. Eden Project is about 30 minutes drive. You will definitely need a car when you stay here. We would not hesitate in recommending the Loft to friends and family and can’t wait to return!!

Little Bosvethan is a spacious, well proportioned, two-bedroom apartment located above the main house, Bosvethan and set in a peaceful location in open countryside. The location is just a ten minute walk to the beautiful village of Mawnan Smith and a footpath leads you to the popular sandy Maenporth beach and further scenic coastal walks. You'll find some stunning walks, gardens and places to eat or visit within easy reach and there's everything you need if you want to cook for yourselves.
Comfortably accommodating two adults & two children (not suitable for children under 5 years of age), or a further one to two adults in the second bedroom, there is a large double bedroom with ample storage space, bedside units and chest of drawers. There is a smaller bedroom with two single beds & open plan living and dining area, fully fitted and kitted out kitchen, main bathroom & en-suite to the main bedroom. Off-road parking and private garden area.
Cornwall is the most perfect place to holiday in the UK, as the county with the largest amount of coastline and an area of outstanding natural beauty. Its folk are friendly and food the finest. Its a fair drive but its worth it when you get here and you'll begin to relax as soon as you arrive. Come rain or shine, there's plenty to do, with beaches galore, a host of National Trust properties, museums, and a lively festival culture. Little Bosvethan is located 3 miles out of Falmouth, Mawnan Smith is a pretty little crossroads village with thatched cottages and inn. The village itself has an attractive 15th century church which overlooks the mouth of the Helford River. In times of war the church tower provided a useful lookout post, its position also made it a useful daymark for sailors. It is thought the Smith part of the name is derived from the fact that being on a relatively busy crossroads the town had four blacksmiths at one time tending to the passing pack horses. There was in fact a smithy (Dryden James) working in the village up until 1994 Mawnan Smith is perhaps best known for being located close to two of Cornwall's great gardens - Trebah and Glendurgan. Just to the west of the village is the National Trust owned Glendurgan Gardens. Created by the Fox family the 1820s, the sub-tropical gardens are in a wooded valley which runs down to the Helford river at Durgan. The gardens contain many fine trees and exotic plants along with the laurel Heade Maze which was constructed in the 1930s. Not more than a couple of miles to the south is the equally spectacular Trebah Gardens. The 26 acre ravine garden is packed with sub-tropical plants and is sometimes referred to as the 'Garden of Dreams'. Again, the work of the Fox family, this time Charles Fox. The land originally belonged to the Bishop of Exeter but was purchased by the Fox family in 1831. Fox's creation took over 100 years to reach maturity by which time the Second World War had begun and the garden fell into ruin. It was not until the 1980s, when Tony and Eira Hibbert bought Trebah that the restoration began. After almost 20 years work the garden was returned to its former glory and is now rated amongst one of the finest in the World.

  • A beautiful small holding with a few animals to bring a smile to any young adventurers face! Your host, (Kim) is very welcoming, (we arrived to a delicious home made lemon drizzle cake waiting in the kitchen) and full of good recommendations for things to do in the local area. We found lots to do within a 30 minute drive, (beautiful beaches, castles, Padstow bay etc.) and at night we came home to our peaceful retreat and admired a billion stars in one of the blackest skies this city boy has ever seen! We will return to Cornwall and when we do, we‘ll certainly be checking if Demelza Cottage is available.

    Dan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a really lovely flying visit to Demelza, what a beautiful location and stunning surroundings. The appartment was warm and inviting and cosy after a couple of days spent by the sea visiting family. The cake was a really lovely and unexpected touch. Kim was very nice and made sure we were looked after. Thank you again, we would love to return

  • A lovely tranquil space. Close to the sea and superb value for money. Everything you need for a few days to a few weeks in Cornwall. Just one tip put Demelza or Demelza Cottage into your satnav; using the postcode is not that helpful. Enjoy your stay 😁

The Owl loft is on our working sheep farm down a private lane and is ideal for couples wanting a base to explore Cornwall. Recently renovated loft above an old stone tractor barn, only a short walk to the village with pub, cafe and shop. Miles of footpaths to explore right from the farm and only a short drive to the coast and the fantastic north Cornwall beaches.
There is a concrete ramp from the parking area to the entrance of the loft and no steps or stairs. The kitchen has oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and a washing machine.
The nearest village is a 10 min walk away, there is a cafe, pub and a village shop with post office, they are all well worth a visit while you are here. If you would like a longer walk then a footpath runs from our farm to the famous Delabole slate quarry (the route to work for some for around 500 years), part of this walk is in woodland.

  • A beautiful and spacious flat, very well-equipped and comfortable. The family are incredibly friendly and helpful, but we were also great about giving us our own space. Lovely big bath, and very comfy bed! The local pub is only short walk away, with delicious food and friendly staff, and the cafe in St Teath serves lovely cakes, too. There's a shop nearby, so you can cook in the flat, but it's also a great spot from which to explore the North Cornish coast and all the towns in between. Thank you, Sarah and Stuart, for a great stay - we'd definitely stay again!

  • The photos don’t do the loft justice. It was cosy and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. It was nice to be able to stretch out in the bath, a rare treat after exploring and driving all day. Lots of little extra everywhere you looked. The space is a lot bigger than the photos suggest. You can spend hours browsing for clothes, homewares, crafts, glassware, art, antiques, books, seaside knick-knacks, traditional children’s toys and don't forget the old-fashioned sweet shop! There are also top-quality bakeries where you can find bread, rolls, pasties, cakes and treats. There may be no large supermarket, but with two local convenience stores and a Boots, you'll still find everything you need. There is a Co-op around 5 miles away, Asda and Tesco are around 7 miles, and all the major supermarkets will deliver online shopping as well. THINGS TO SEE & DO Fowey is an estuary river town, so the obvious thing to do is spend a day messing about on the water! There are many kayak, canoe, and boat hire centres that go from both Quays. If you don’t have the strongest sea legs, then why not just take the passenger ferry over to Polruan for an afternoon! If you fancy going a little further, you can take the ferry round to Mevagissey too. In the centre of Fowey there is a sweet little aquarium, and a local museum – both are worth a peek! Fowey has a 14th century church in the centre of the town and a 15th century fort, St. Catherine’s Castle, on the edge of the estuary. The closest beach to town is Readymoney Cove, which has clean sands and is perfect for swimming. A swimming platform is moored off the beach during the summer months. There is also a fabulous little shop for all your seaside needs. However, no dogs are allowed between Easter and October. There is a secret sea-pool hidden away at Whitehouse Pier which is perfect for a refreshing paddle while looking out over the estuary. It can only be found at certain times, so check those tide times! Within a 5/10-minute drive, you can be at Polridmouth, Polkerris or Par Sands, and within a half hour drive you’ll find Carlyon Bay, Charlestown, Porthpean, Pentewan or Mevagissey. An hour’s drive and you are on the north coast of Cornwall – this is where you will find the more dramatic views, coastline and good surfing on some of the beaches. Bit of a thrill seeker? Then Cornwall has some fantastic opportunities to get your adrenaline buzz! Hang Loose at Eden have zip wires and giant air swings, Adrenaline Quarry near Liskeard is perfect for a day full of crazy activities, and Retallack Watersports near Newquay is the place to head for total-wipeout style aqua adventures. There are hundreds of miles of fantastic walks in Cornwall. The South West Coastal Path alone winds 630 miles around the county, and The Saints Way is 27 miles from Fowey on the south coast, right across to Padstow on the north coast. The Fowey Hall Walk is much more manageable at 4 miles and is the best way to see Fowey from all angles! We also particularly enjoy the Gribbin Head walk, especially when the Daymark is open in the summer. Whether you enjoy the sea, woods, rivers, moors or fields, you will not be disappointed with the walks in Cornwall. The closest major attractions are The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. They really do offer something for everyone and make an enjoyable day-trip. For green-fingered travellers, there are also many other great gardens; in fact, there are officially 12 Great Gardens of Cornwall! Cornwall is very famous for its tin mining heritage, and you will see many old engine houses dotted across the landscape. The countryside directly surrounding Fowey and St Austell is locally known as Clay Country due to its abundance of China Clay. Wheal Martyn is an interesting museum that gives a good insight into the history and culture of the clay works, and if you take the walk to the top of the grounds it overlooks a modern working pit. There are lots of National Trust and English Heritage sites across Cornwall, as well as stately homes and gardens. Some of our local favourites are Lanhydrock House, Pencarrow House, Restormel Castle and Caerhays Estate. If you’re looking for somewhere just for the kids, check out Camel Creek, Springfields, Dairyland, Kidzworld, Indoor Active, Newquay Zoo or Porfell Wildlife Centre. This is just small selection of the many dozens of places for families to visit! Pop into our office during your stay to pick up our “best days out” pack, full of leaflets and vouchers. Don’t forget to follow Fowey Homes Holidays on social media for inspiration on days out. When booking your trip with us, please feel free to ask for some personal recommendations - we’d love to help you discover the real hidden gems of Cornwall and get the most of out of your time in beautiful Fowey.
  • Lovely apartment in an incredible location! Would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • Long term parking is 10-15 minutes walk away and would be difficult for less mobile travellers. Central position close to all amenities and great river views make this flat an ideal holiday location. We loved it!

  • A lovely apartment overlooking the Quay at Fowey. Refurbished recently, it's stylish and sparklingly clean with all mod-cons. Everything is within walking distance, so after unloading your car outside, leave it at the long-stay car park 7 minutes walk away and enjoy a nice glass of Korev Cornish Lager at the King of Prussia around the corner. You're surrounded by pubs and restaurants, and if you need to grab a loaf of bread or a bottle of wine you're only a couple of minutes away from a wonderful bakery, a mini-mart, and a delicatessen selling treats just up the road. Looking out of your window you'll see the floating pontoon. Chill out and watch the hustle and bustle of the river, or rent a boat yourself and explore the local area. On a sunny day, take a walk up to Readymoney beach and relax on the sand. See if you can spot Dawn French's house! Great location and fantastically appointed apartment. Highly recommended for a Cornish getaway.

Small community within the town, mostly linked to boating. King Charles Quay is unique in the fact that it is almost private for its residents and leads to a dead end.
  • Perfect mini break experience, gorgeous cosy loft with a lovely big bed, delicious treats and a great coastal view. A very clever use of space with a lovely host

  • Fantastic location, great Airbnb, marvellous host

    Steve2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really fabulous couple of nights’ stay at Zawn Haven. The location is perfect, right on the quay with lots of fantastic places to eat nearby plus everything else Falmouth has to offer, including wonderful beach and the maritime museum. The loft itself is stunning and we just loved the view and all the thoughtful (and generous!) extras. Our 8 year old son especially loved the books and comics and hanging out in the sunshine in the hammock. We will definitely be back!

    Sarah2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Julia’s Right in the middle of busy part of Falmouth by the harbour.

    Victoria2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • A small but cozy loft space with gorgeous private views over Falmouth. During sunny weather, be sure to take advantage of the deck! The combined kitchen and living space has a sofa which can act as a secondary sleeping space, and is separate from the very generously sized master en-suite bedroom. Third guests’ mileage is likely to vary with the sofa (as a former student, I’ve had my fair share of crashing out on couches!) but Julia has gone out of her way to make the space as comfortable as possible. The interior makes very thoughtful and clever use of mirrors to expand the space, and has great features and facilities throughout. There are lots of modern touches that give a tasteful edge to the strong 200 year old property, where the fusion of old and new creates something truly special inside. Julia has been a wonderful host who has been readily available for communication both through the app and in person.

  • You could not wish for a warmer welcome than we received from Juliet and Jonathon, and we appreciated their caring hospitality displayed in many ways and thoughtful touches including providing an additional bed for our little girls even though it is not part of the offering. The accommodation is in a beautiful well appointed building, which has a calming, cheerful charm which helped relax us on a busy business trip. This is a fascinating creative place, quite close to Truro and St Austell, and if you are lucky enough to have a tour of the cider producing orchard and flower production from the multi talented hosts, you are in for a treat! Needless to say our girls loved Dotti and Bonni the beautiful, friendly dogs, and indeed the whole place, but equally as a couple you would enjoy a wonderful break in this superb accommodation.

  • The barn was a beautiful setting and the location was perfect. The recommendations for places to eat were spot on and the small touches made the place feel very homely.

    Victoria2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely people, very accommodating. Property is lovely, super clean, great location. And cider went down a treat...!

    Hannah2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our 2 night stay was all too brief - we could happily have stayed far longer. A beautiful and stylish loft overlooking an idyllic apple orchard was the perfect setting for our weekend break, and we headed home thoroughly refreshed. Juliet and Jonathon were wonderful hosts who made us feel extremely welcome and were only to happy to share their hints and tips about the area. Plus we learned plenty about flowers and cider-making... Book your stay now before someone else snaps up the chance!

    Neil2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, stylish yet comforting little pad. Placed in a beautiful setting of greenery and flowers. Very quiet and self contained. Suited us perfectly!

  • Perfect hide-away when you need some private space to rest, but with perfect access to country-life fun. Cute puppies and a great selection of DVD's :)

    Adam&Simone2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tug barn was a hidden gem in a private property with an orchard of apples and pear, cider making and flower growing. Juliet and Jonathan were so welcoming, with thoughtful touches such as milk, tea, cider, elderflower, soap, toiletries and thick towels. The Tug barn is cosy, very clean and they kindly accepted for our son to be at the barn at an additional fee, despite normally for two. We found there was plenty of room. We had a lovely time exploring the orchard and admire Juliet's flowers, get a quick visit of Jonathan's cider brewery and make acquaintance with the three dogs, which were all very well behaved. Juliet and Jonathan were full of tips and local knowledge which helped a lot. Our son had a magical time with Dot, the puppy, seeing the bee hive and bird's nest and run through the orchard. We will come back to Cornwall and definitely recommend the Tug barn, whether as a base for non stop holiday activities or for a quiet time, writing or for rest.

  • I stayed here for 4 nights for the universities open day and an audition, and to get a feel for the place. I couldn’t have chosen a better Air bnb on my first visit to this part of the country. Zoe is a lovely and warm hearted host with a beautiful creative home. One of the most interesting homes I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. If you are in to creative / artsty stuff I’m sure you will enjoy your stay here. Also if you are a dog person you will enjoy as Zoe has a big friendly husky! Zoe and Kiya the husky were so welcoming and laid back. This home is super convienent in terms of location, as you can see the beautiful sea from the balcony and a perfect spot for exploration of Falmouth and I walked to Penryn in under an hour. Falmouth has a really nice creative snd chilled vibe and beautiful sites. Extra benefits were the selection of herbal teas and a comfortable bed. Thank you Zoe for your hospitality.

The lodge, is tucked away on the far side of New Polzeath, with views of Pentire Point, a garden with great sea views 5 meters from the front door, and a large communal garden that rolls down to beautiful Baby Bay, whilst only being a stone through away from the hustle and bustle of Polzeath. From the lodge you can relax on the beach, ramble out on the dramatic North Cornish coastal path, or enjoy beautiful sunsets on your private balcony.
The lodge is a small loft house within the premises of Wavecrest house. It stands separately to the house with access to it through a communal garden. You enter the lodge into the kitchen and downstairs shower room. You go upstairs to your living and sleeping space, all open planned set out on 2 levels. A large double bed and a single bed make up the sleeping arrangements. A big sofa and large pillows give you somewhere to rest your legs. And a small fold away table and chairs allow you to eat meals at a table. A quirky small space... But a location hard to beat!
The Lodge is part of Wavecrest house. It has an adjoining lodge with The neighbouring house, however all houses look out to sea so even though it's all tucked in closely together you don't feel on top of your neighbours one bit!
  • The Loft is a lovely cosy space, perfect if you're looking for a base to do water sports or cliff walks.

    Ruth2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location. Check in was easy and it has the bonus of a parking space, invaluable on a sunny weekend. Will certainly try and book again when we return to Polzeath.

  • Amazing location.

    Isabel2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • What you're paying for here is the location — the flat is three minute's walk to the beach. The flat has everything you need and has a really nice atmosphere upstairs. The kitchen/bathroom feel a little bit tired, but everything worked well and the bed was really comfy. It would be perfect for a couple — we found it a little small with a toddler in tow. There was a slight downside in that you are literally in someone's back garden, and you have to walk past their house to get in and out. There were lovely people staying in the main house so it wasn't a problem for us, but if you are shy you may find it awkward to be in this shared space. But generally we loved staying here, and would absolutely return in the future.

Falmouth is renowned for it's great, safe beaches and fantastic eateries including Rick Steins fish restaurant. It is approx. 3 miles away. There are some lovely local walks that range from easy to a little more difficult on your doorstep. Truro, our city of Cornwall is about 15 minutes drive away and has quaint shops and a beautiful three spired cathedral. A must visit place is the beautiful town of St.Ives in the west of the county although wherever you visit will be wonderful. Come and see for yourself.
  • Viv's loft was fantastic for our 5-day stay, it was very centrally located for exploring Cornwall - at most an hour and a bit's drive away from attractions. The place itself was super clean and Viv provided a huge selection of breakfast goodies that she made sure to top up each day. The wide selection of herbal teas was also very much appreciated! The area was quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day spent exploring the area, and Falmouth is only a 10-minute drive away, and is packed with restaurants and shops!

A spacious, spotless, independent living area comprising of a sitting room with dining area (with a fridge, kettle and toaster), double bedroom and en-suite. Very thoughtful touches such as a plentiful breakfast choice comprising of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, crumpets, brioche, tea, coffee, fruit juice and also bottles of water and glasses by the bed. We were very grateful to be collected from the station during a downpour and to also be dropped back at the station for our return journey. Thank you, Viv for making our stay so comfortable!
