I am honestly torn about this place. On the one hand, the house was clean, the room was in good condition, and Andy was great at communicating with me. However, what killed it about this trip for me was the location of the place. The neighborhood did not feel safe at all. Even the demeanor of Andy's home made the neighborhood not feel safe. Yes, Andy made me feel secure inside the house, but I was scared to leave my vehicle out of the street and I did not feel at all comfortable leaving the house past dusk. So...mixed feelings about the place.

Nearly exactly what I needed. Only hiccup was the lack of coffee maker, which has been remedied, and dishware. If you plan on cooking bring silverware of your own etc. Also, there is an excellent washer/dryer but you must provide your own detergent. The walls are pretty thin. But it's cheap and the host is a good guy.

I reserved with Andy for a student of mine. Communication was great and my student found the place very comfortable and Andy very helpful.

The first thing I noticed was SO MUCH PARKING. Living in the Bay and driving in Berkeley/SF/Oakland this is such a blessing. I had a really pleasant stay, it almost felt like I had the place to myself. The other residents were the quietest people on the planet. I did hear someone humming through the wall around 6am, but that's because I have annoying hearing prowess when I'm sleeping and not because they were being loud or disruptive. After I sleepily banged the wall a little, they stopped (sorry about that, though). Andy outlines very clear expectations and instructions, here, as well as on several walls in the home. I checked myself out early in the morning without having to bother anybody.

I arrived to Andys place at late night. He was still available on the phone and explained with biggest patience how to get into the house. Keys, codes etc. everything worked out great. I took a warm shower, used the wifi and fell into a healthy, deep sleep in the simple room on the perfect bed.

Lai welcomed us right as we pulled up onto the driveway. After offering water, kitchen use, and general feel for the neighborhood, she and I chatted about similar tastes in movies and she offered some 3D glasses to watch Prometheus. Both the bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. We only stayed one night but it was an easy, smooth, and friendly process.

Needed a nice place on a budget. This place was definitely decorated cute and the house overall was awesome. Very quiet, basically had entire house to yourself. Everything well kept. Parking right in front. Host is very friendly and accommodating and nice. Will help with anything supercool.

Great host! John made us feel very comfortable and at home. He is very accommodating and friendly. Room is clean and bed is very very comfortable. We both slept well there. Will definitely consider staying there again next time we are in town!

The check-in process was really simple, parking was good in the driveway or the lot as they describe. The three rooms share one bathroom, so that was really the only inconvenience. We had a problem the first morning when we had to leave early and somebody was in the shower. We tried to wait it out but had to leave to avoid being late. The bedroom was clean and nice, the tv setup with Netflix was a plus. For the price, it was a great place.

John & Lai have a wonderful house and the room I stayed in was probably the best one I've ever seen on Airbnb. Nice and comfortable bed and very comfy and soft pillows/sheets. The towels and snacks+water were a nice touch. I spoke to them briefly on 2 occasions and they were both very nice. They truly are superhosts. I'll definitely stay here again if it's available when I come here.

Everything clean and comfortable. Plenty of closet space, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. Friendly cat. Convenient to several restaurants, parks and light rail (although we walked and biked just about everywhere, including downtown). All was as advertised. Also very convenient to family we were visiting, and we would stay here again.

Linda and John were excellent hosts! Staying with them was my first AirBnb experience and it won't be my last. The room was super comfortable, warm, and clean. The shower in the bathroom was awesome! Best of all, it was great to spend a bit of time with Linda and John. They even cooked a delicious dinner which we shared, and made a lot of great recommendations about things to do. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer! I would definitely recommend staying with them, and if I'm ever in Sacramento again I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thanks Linda and John! Happy cycling!

John and Linda are wonderful hosts. Very communicative, helpful, and generous. I was only able to stay with them for a short time, but I hope next time will be longer! Linda's home is beautiful, as advertised. We didn't get a chance to interact with her as much as we had wanted, but we definitely felt very welcome and comfortable. There were more amenities than we took advantage of - for instance, we didn't use the small refrigerator that she offered to us. But we did take advantage of some oatmeal just prior to checking out. It's a wonderful home in a beautiful area of town. Highly recommended.

Linda was such a great host! The house has a lot of space, and the room we stayed at was extremely cozy. Her cat Leontien will greet you with kisses and purrs too!

We had a great time during our stay with Linda and John at their lovely home. The artwork and beautiful garden were delightful, especially the fig tree! We were gluttons for those delicious figs! They shared good tips for nearby parks, coffee and restaurants. Bikes were provided for us to ride downtown to the monthly Art Gallery Tour and also the many bike trails the next morning. We very much appreciated their thoughtful hospitality during our relaxing and nature-filled get-away trip to Sacramento.

Linda and John were excellent hosts. The house was very clean, and it so beautifully and artfully decorated. The garden is lovely, and there are outdoor seating areas in the front and back of the house where you can relax and enjoy the garden views. The bathroom is GORGEOUS; it has a nice walk-in shower with stained glass windows, and plush luxurious towels provided. Linda even has a drawer of toiletries (sample-sized toothpaste, lotion, shampoo, etc) for the guest, in case you forgot anything. I stayed for 2 sets of 5 nights of each, for a class in Sacramento. I came in from San Francisco on Amtrak. I had all my stuff in panniers and rode my bike to the house from the Sacamento Amtrak station. It's a very easy ride, very flat and beautiful, part way along the Sacramento River trail and partway on the quiet streets arched with oak trees, near Linda and John's house. I rode my bike to class every day, which was in northeast Sacramento. I loved the ride, especially after Linda gave me her recommendations for the best route. Also, one day my tire ended up with a slow leak ... Linda patched the tube and everything for me, in the minimum of time, and free of charge! :) She was amazing. I kept my bicycle locked in the bicycle shed, which was very convenient. Also I must mention THE CATS. Beryl and Leontine, who were the best of companions. They are beautiful cats, very affectionate and expressive. Leontine slept with me each night on the bed, all sprawled out in her own little corner. Obviously if you don't want a cat in your bed, you can leave the bedroom door closed. :) But I thought the cats were wonderful and was happy for their company. If you like cats and want to stay in a beautiful, immaculate home in an adorable, quiet neighborhood in Sacramento, with very kind and responsive hosts ... I would definitely recommend Linda and John's place. My boyfriend was able to stay with me one night, and he loved it, too. I hope to come back and stay here again someday.

Steve has everything set up perfectly for a nights stay. I booked the room at short notice and it was just a matter of giving Steve a call 30 minutes later to get the code for the door. When I arrived everything I needed was on hand from a parking pass to an ironing board. I look forward to using this place again for my stay. Thanks again for a hassle free evening.

Steve was a great host. Check-in was as simple as typing a 4 digit code into the door lock. The unit had great WIFI, a nice kitchen, and a lot of television channels available on the 2 TVs. Steve even provided a parking pass so we could park right in front of the unit. He even gave us a recommendation, over the phone, for a Mexican restaurant (Tres Hermanas) that had outstanding food and margaritas. The 'Beware of Dog' sign had us concerned about opening the gate, but a neighbor put us at ease by stating that there wasn't a dog in the entrance area. We had a good nights rest and would stay there again.

Nice little place in a very comfortable neighborhood. We were grateful for a previous guest's instructions to turn on the heater with the remote - not sure we would have figured it out otherwise. We stayed on an unusually cold night - the next morning, people in a cafe were talking about how cold it had been. That being said, the apartment really was cold. We turned on the heat when we checked in, left for exploring, dining & a movie and returned 5 hours later and it was still pretty cold. We kept our coats on until climbing into bed. Tucked under the house on the north side, I'll bet it's terrific on a hot Sac summer night.

Great small space to stay in East Sac. Exactly as pictured. Cozy. Walk almost everywhere. We will likely stay again when visiting family. Only caution, very TALL people might feel that ceilings are low.

They were very nice and the room was true to the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft. There were quite a few bugs because the room was below the main floor of the house. But not terrible. Overall great stay.

Mindy and Weston were very inviting and they have a beautiful vegetable garden.

Mindy's communication was on point, everything was expected and we really appreciated our invitation to check in early. We enjoyed sitting and eating out in the garden and felt very welcome and comfortable. Nice walk to food and coffee. A great stay for sure!

Awesome spot! Private, with lots of natural light. Even between growing seasons the garden was beautiful...blueberry blossoms out the window and we found a delicious spear of asparagus. We took the bus to downtown...which was super convenient. Would stay here again!

Joanna & Jasons place was very quaint & very clean. They offer slippers as soon as you walk in & Joanna showed us to our room & private bathroom. It was very comfy & quiet & they pretty much keep to themselves to give you the space you want. They even leave water & snacks in the room to help he accommodating. The bed is very comfy, there's no tv in the room but that was fine because I prefer not to have a tv in the bedroom anyways. It was a wonderful little stay just what we needed. :)

I stayed here a very short time, came in late and left early. If you just need a simple room to crash for a night this place works fine. Bed is very comfortable, hosts are nice. Clean bathroom and good water pressure!

Our first Airbnb experience was a terrific success. The house was cozy, clean, well-stocked with some extras, and generally an all-around good experience! I'm hoping ALL my future Airbnb experiences are as good as our first. We will be traveling to Sacramento again in the near future and will definitely stay in this sweet little house again!

Davids place is the perfect stay in Sacramento. Just the right amount of residential and cute/hip, we really enjoyed his place, and liked the privacy of having the bedrooms on two different floors. Our bed was really comfortable!

This studio was very clean and centrally located. The WiFi does not work, however.

A great, self-contained studio apartment with a furnished kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Close to several restaurants and downtown is only 5 minutes away by car. Parking is a little rough, make sure to pay attention to what day sweepers are affecting your street.

The host was very clear and prompt regarding answering questions and giving instructions. I added some last minute changes to my check-in and the guest was nice enough to accommodate me in every way. The bed & sheets were very comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen was very clean. I did wish the wi-fi was a bit better, but my stay overall was just as I expected. I expected it to be loud around night time, being in downtown and all, but surprisingly I had a very peaceful night. There isn't a lot of sunlight around the whole studio, so it's best to explore and go out instead of staying in for most of your trip. I would also recommend that parking should be taken seriously, as I had some trouble finding parking near the address, but parking 2-3 blocks away was sufficient enough. The location of the studio makes it best to walk and explore downtown Sacramento!

Great location. Good for budget stays. Not so good for business travelers with high expectations. A bit stuffy, and not squeaky clean. No view, and quite a bit of noise all night long. Bedroom very bright at night due to a security light outside the bedroom window Really good location! Easy walk to Starbucks and several really nice restaurants on L St.

We loved our stay in this apartment. It was in the perfect location. We walked everywhere. Cute place that had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.
