  • I misread check in and arrived 30 minutes late. I tried to call the number given on Airbnb but got no answer. Apparently this is just a caravan park that uses Airbnb to facilitate their business. Any-who there was a number posted outside the office of the caravan park that I called (Susan). She was very nice! My name was not written down which is troublesome. It was all sorted though because there was plenty of open rooms. The place was perfect for me though. Very basic, warm, clean and your own room. Paradise for backpackers.

  • It’s a simple caravan park but does the job. My friend and I stayed in different hostels around Tassie and having a cabin to ourselves was a nice break. We loved the old school, kinda 80s, charm of it. Very clean, quiet and comfortable!

    Michelle2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed there a night. Great place to check out Montezuma Waterfall.

    Kitti2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and as expected - sure beats camping.

    William2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay to avoid the rainy weather. We loved the Rosebery and Tullah areas and this was a great base to explore from. Is a basic cabin, with seperate toilet/shower block. But had everything we needed. Plus showers were super hot which was nice. Bargain compared to overpriced Strahan!

    Tim2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabins were a great place to stay! The stars were lovely at night and the washroom facilities were clean and easy to access. Beds were comfy and perfect for exploring the area and going to the national parks. Would definitely stay again

Self contained self catering cabins set in a picturesque valley close to Stitt Falls. Our Cabins have double beds and 3or4 single bunks. Rosebery is a great place to stay enjoying walking to Montezuma Falls Tasmania's tallest waterfalls and Mt Murchison. Less than 1 hr from Strahan and Cradle Mountain.
Stitt Falls right next door. Nearby Rainforest walk to Montezuma Falls. Great mountain views. Less than 1hr from Cradle mountain
The scenery, the great walks. Rainforest, mountains. The tranquility. Trout fishing in nearby lakes and streams. Magical.
  • Ruth was a very nice host. She met us as we arrived at the place and ensured all our needs were met. I highly recommend this place.

    Jack2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just a quiet little cabin park, there's a pool but didn't get to check it out as we only stayed a night and not a day. Not luxury but its pleasant enough and very quiet 👌

    Chantal2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Ruth for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay at your place. It was a new experience for us which we will remember forever.

  • I chose Rosebery Caravan and Cabins purely for location and it did not disappoint. The space was amazing as it was situated behind Sitts Falls (spent alot of time exploring the bush). There was also an oval and swimming pool behind the cabins tell me where you can find that in the mountains!!! The cabin I stayed was clean warm and had all the modern utilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend to anyone traveling down the West Coast Tassie.

    Ken2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good overnight stay in a simple, clean cabin after our trip to Cradle Mountains. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds and the checkin-checkout process was very simple and the host was very friendly and helpful.

Two bedroom house located in "Tullah Township", in walking distant to Lake Rosebery for the "Lake Side Walking Track" and the "Tullah Pioneer Cemetery Reserve". Other walks include Madden Street Walk to the Heritage Park and Wee Georgie Wood Steam Train and also the starting point of Mount Farrell / Lake Herbart walking track. Pop into the "Tullah Cottage Café" (Old Pink Miners Cottage) for a great Coffee and a quick bite to eat. Don't forget the "Montezuma Falls Walking Track" 15 minutes away.
Tullah's Lake Rosebery and Mackintosh are well know to Anglers for the Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout.
Tullah is the Gate Way to the West Coast of Tasmania. 85km to Strahan but also only 53km to Cradle Mountain, so Tullah's a great place to base your self for a few days and do small day trips around the region.
  • Friendly service from the gentleman at the coffee shop. This place was a cozy getaway cabin. Comfy bed and a great set up with Foxtel as well. Also would definitely recommend the Tullah lakeside lodge for tea.

  • A really lovely cottage, very clean. Very very comfy bed and lovely linens. It was raining and Stuart had the log fire going for us. So very quiet. Enjoyed our stay. Harvey

  • Well equipped

    Trudy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house is spacious and stylish with high quality appliances. We were very comfortable at Stuart’s place. Tullah is in a beautiful location, surrounded by mountains, lakes and rainforest. Hopefully tourism will save the Tarkine, and it will become a national park.

    Barbara2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

Studio room with 1 x queen bed and x single bed. Kettle, toaster and fridge. No cooking of meals allowed in room.
Room is attached to Tullah Tavern where meals are available
Tullah is surrounded by Mount Farrell, Mount Murchison and Mount Black so it is excellent for bush walking. The Rosebery lake is only a 5 minute walk from the tavern where you can swim or just relax and try your luck in catching some fish
  • This spot is a hidden gem. Di and her staff were friendly and very helpful hosts and the accommodation had everything we needed for an overnight stay. A generous space, clean, quiet, a great sleep in a comfortable bed and parking right outside our room. The offer of a few DVDs from the “library” in the bar was appreciated. After a big, late lunch we didn’t choose to eat at the bistro but it was available if needed. Overall this was an unexpectedly comfortable and friendly place to stay,

    Robin2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice spacious rooms and serves good meals.

    Bon2018-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't have wished for anything better! Great hospitality, the long bar, the huge open fire and the great meal all added to Tullah Tavern experience. The attached accommodation was perfect, great space, clean, cosy beds, all amenities supplied.

  • Lovely place to stay if you can’t/don’t want to stay at cradle mountain. Room was impressive and very spacious for the price.

    Mitchell2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Well located between Strahan and Cradle Mountain with spacious rooms, Tallah Tavern is an excellent location. The food and drink in the tavern itself are well priced for travellers on a budget, with good servings. Di and the barman are great to chat to and have a wealth of local knowledge. If you're with a group the bar has a snooker table and couches for the evening. Soap and towels provided, good sized TV in the room.

  • Great little cottage to base yourself while you are exploring the West Coast. Clean and cosy.

  • We had a wonderful evening in the Wombat cottage. It’s very cute and cosy. All you need is here. It’s very clean. Perfect place to stop one night. We watched a DVD and walked to the lake. Good way to relax. We didn’t have internet and I loved it! The bed was very comfortable.

    Marie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Helpful friendly host with a unique place to stay packed with thoughtful touches. It is close to eating places and a lovely lake.

    Mollie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Stuarts Wombat Lounge was short but very cozy. The cottage has everything I needed even DVD‘s and maps for the surrounding. The bed is really comfortable and has a heating underneath the sheets which was nice to turn on when I was a bit cold. The Lounge is just lovely and I would stay there again, its a cute adventure that you must try out if can. The contact with Stuart was quick, he replied immediately to my messages and we had a fast checkin. The only negative thing I could think of (in terms of others) is that I didnt had reception in the accommodation, but for that night it was good to even turn of the phone anyways. Thanks for the hospitality Stuart.

    Geraldine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cosy cottage perfect for two people. We enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. We stayed in Tullah to break up a long drive from the north to the west coast. Perfect if you’d like to take things at a slower place. There’s a DVD player if you’d like to bring some movies to watch or make use of the DVDs at the cottage. Only a short drive to Montezuma Falls. A couple of options for eating out for dinner, however, be mindful that the kitchens may close by 7.30pm, especially if there aren’t many customers.

  • We had a lovely stay at this tranquil retreat. Everything has been thought of and is very organised here. Unfortunately we only stayed a night and had to move on but would be perfect for a longer family holiday, everything you need there with a super comprehensive information booklet put together by the hosts on how everything works and what is available to see and do in the area. You can even use their bikes and kayaks which we definitely would’ve done had we stayed longer. The river is literally just across the road - beautiful.

    Danielle2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this wonderful place! It's an awesome house for a group of people. We were a group of 6 people and there was plenty of space. The amenities are good with a tv, dvds, games, books, olive oil, foil, shampoo etc. Beds were very comfortable and the view on the lake is amazing!!

    Amanda2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical lakeside spot! If we had more time to spend we would have made use of the kayaks. We were passing through but still loved walking around the lake and the picturesque setting while eating breakfast and relaxing late afternoon after returning from our travels. The kitchen was well stocked and the residence was very clean. We both slept well in the comfy beds. Operating instructions for all appliances and location of key items like fire extinguisher were well documented on entry point.

  • Stuart’s place is very comfortable. We felt quite at home in the spacious area which provided ample bedding and heating, appropriate for the cooler clime. The living space was very comfortable and provided lovely views of the garden, town and surrounding area. The kitchen was well equipped, but is probably in need of a wee spring clean. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would recommend to those seeking humble but warm accommodations.

  • The bush nook was a great little place to stay and get a nice rest in. It's between a heaps of great walks and mtb trails and is sort of the middle point for a West Coast drive/trip. Stuart also makes a pretty decent coffee across the road ;) Highly recommended :)

    Alec2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Bush Nook is clean with plenty of space for bigger groups. The host Stuart owns the cafe across the road and is very helpful. Perfect for getting away from the city!

Beautiful 5 metre round bell tent complete with full sized queen sized bed with inner spring mattress, comfortable arm chairs and heater. Your site has its own fire place and we provide wood. Relax and enjoy the peaceful bush surrounds, listen to the birds sing and gaze at the million and one stars. You have access to our heated amenities building just a short walk away and our camp lounge and kitchen with full cooking facilities and your own private fridge/freezer.
Your Glamping tent is situated in the Zeehan Bush Camp, our Park caters for Glamping, a small number of BYO tent camp sites and on-site self contained cabins.
Zeehan Bush Camp is a short drive to everything the West Coast has to offer, our central location make us a great place from which to explore the whole region.
  • Fantastic time and inside the glamping tent is beautiful. Ali and Clayton have thought of everything making the "glamping experience" feel like home that you'll never want to leave! The facilities were excellent and even though it rained it didn't at all dampen our experience. 😊

  • Please book at this place if you want to be connected to a peaceful relaxed environment. We are regular campers and wanted to stay somewhere connected to nature still but without the hassle of pitching a tent. We stayed in one of their luxurious glamping tents. What a fantastic experience. Yes you will still hear all the beautiful surrounding nautural sounds like birds, wind, rain and the babble of the creek, but with a touch of luxury, a soft comfortable bed, electric blankets and a toasty heater to warm the tent. Fantastic lighting and and even little fairy lights surrounding the tent for a romantic touch. The main camping cooking area is indoor with it own fireplace. We arrived on a cold rainy night and before we could even think about lighting the fireplace owners were already there lighting it for us. These little special touches made us feel really looked after. We will be recommending all our family and friends to stay here in the future. And can’t wait to book our next trip here!

  • Exceptional experience and an accommodation different to others making it a very memorable stay. Our tent had a great set up and despite a cold and rainy night we stayed warm and very comfy in our tent. There is also great amenities for cooking your own food. Can highly recommend this accommodation.

  • This is a great and unique experience. The glamping tent feels very luxurious and the hosts have thought of everything. The kitchen and bathroom are outstanding, including our own individual mini fridges. Would definitely recommend staying a night here to relax. The nearby gloworm filled “Spray Tunnel” is also great to visit at night!

  • Had to book a second night as the accommodation is outstanding for the price. Highly recommend for those on a budget travelling the west coast. As with the rest of TAS, amazing natural places to visit surrounding Queenstown as well. If you're keen for an amazing drive from Hobart, recommend travelling the Lyell Hwy to Queenstown for this stay. You'll see some incredible landscapes and land in a great town.

  • We had a great couple of days at the headmasters cottage. The house was squeaky clean and very comfortable. When we arrived the fireplace was set ready for us to light and enjoy throughout what was a chilly rainy night which was a nice touch. The house is a short walk from Tullah Tavern, Tullah cafe, and a little park that tells you a bit about the history of this tiny town :) the house also borders on the lake where we watched a platypus diving on the morning we left - overall a really lovely stay !

The Tin Dragon is an 120 yr old house recently renovated keeping the old and new together in harmony, with architraving inspired by Austrian artist Hundertwasser. The house is situated high on a half acre block overlooking the Rosebery Lake, and is between the Tullah Tavern and the Tullah Café. Close by is the Wee Georgie Wood steam train and the Mt Farrell hiking trail. Just 40 mins to Cradle Mountain & 1 hour to Strahan, this is an ideal location for you and your lovely family.
The house is very quirky in design, with a colourful mudroom entrance leading through to a 50s kitchen, into the huge lounge with huge fireplace (you will need to bring firewood and lighters), with the end windows looking out onto Lake Roseberry. TV and dvds provided. The hall brings you to the 4 bedrooms, 3 of these with queen beds, and one with 2 singles complete with teddies for your little ones to cuddle. Perfect for a family getaway, or just a couple wanting to explore our stunning region, do the walks, kayaking on the lakes, or fishing in the lakes close to the house. Come and enjoy.
Next door to the house is the Tullah Café, where you can feed Cleveland, the alpaca. We have lakes and hiking trails very close by including Lake Roseberry, Lake MacIntosh, Mt Farrell, Lake Murchison, Cradle Mountain Murchison & Montezuma Falls.

Tullah is a quiet village surrounded by lakes and mountains. If you want to go away and do nothing then this is the place. You can take walks, go fishing or just relax. You are only 45 minutes f.rom Cradle Mountain and 1 hour from Straghan
  • Lovely place and very informative from the host

    Anthony2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very simple but a lot of effort has gone into making this venue a clean and comfortable place to stay. We got to park right in front of the room which made unpacking and packing the car very easy. Lots of great DVDs were already provided in the room but there were even more options in the tavern where we also had a lovely dinner. For us, this was the perfect location to set off from towards Cradle Mountain which is only 40 minutes away. Highly recommended if you are touring Tassie by car!

    Vadiay2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is peacefully quiet, great as 1/2 way between CradleMountain & Strahan, the lake is beautiful. Party of four, 2 adults & 2 teens, we only stayed overnight, did I say it was extremely quiet. The place was tidy, for short stays and layout was great for our family. The pub dinner was okay, we also had the Apple & Rasberry strudel with fresh cream, was so yum. A very quiet place to sleep, town is small. The lake is just beautiful from jetty.

    Nicole2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very handy and the meal at tavern was great

    Kay2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, close to Cradle Mtn. Nothing in town; food or fuel, or Telstra service. Come prepared. I had no Telstra reception in Tullah only in the Tavern. Easy check in, clean room, great meal at pub, friendly. If you miss 6-7.30 pm no food around to have there.

Comfy bed, plenty of continental style breakfast available in the morning in the magnificent dining room. Come along and see the Heritage listed staircase and soak up the history of this grand old lady and a working mining town in a truly unique setting.

  • The Empire Hotel is a great place to stay in Queenstown. The building truly reflects the history of the area. She is a grand old dame and the original and intricate features inside are magnificent. Ask the staff about the Heritage listed staircase the leads up to the guest accommodation to get a true sense of the importance of the building. The rooms are very comfortable with a lovely private bathroom. Get there before 8pm for a lovely meal that will easily see you through to the breakfast service in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff serve to cap off a great accommodation experience. What a beauty!

Clayton and Ali were wonderful and the children loved toasted marshmallows on the campfire. The beds were very comfortable and the special glamping amenities were excellent. Great relaxing family experience.

  • We loved our stay in Zeehan! The glamping tent was so comfortable and warm, the kitchen and bathroom facilities were super fancy and well equipped (for camp amenities, if that’s what you’re used to) and Clayton was incredibly helpful and welcoming when we arrived. Even my friend who hates camping was impressed and said she would happily stay here again. We’ll definitely be back!

Just a warning to those travelling with older people or people with mobility issues : the step up to the cabin is quite high. I'm sure if it was a major problem for you that Clayton and Ali would find a solution for you. Clayton gave us heaps of great tips on what to do and see in the area. We loved the wildlife that visited (except some 8 legged ones). Lots of birds and pademelons in the area.

  • We had everything we needed at The Unit, and our hosts are so friendly and welcoming with lovely special extra touches which were very much appreciated. The area is so quiet and relaxing, and we were not wanting for anything at all. If future guests have a chance, take a look around the hosts' gardens and chook runs. What a delight! Thank you! :)

This family and friends Glamping site has two bell tents, one with a queen sized bed and seating area and the other with three single beds. Ideal for a group of friends or for a family with other kids- put the kids in one tent and parents in the other! All our Glamping tents have full sized beds with innerspring mattresses, comfortable seating and private outdoor fireplace. Your tent is a short walk to the amenities and camp lounge and kitchen.
These tents are located within the Zeehan Bush Camp. We cater for Glamping, a small number of BYO tent campsites and self contained cabins.
  • Clayton & Ali's tents are super nice for glamping and the area is very quiet. Would recommend going there!

  • This is a must stay accommodation in Tasmania, it completed our exploration and wild experience in Tasmania, very well thought, equipped, sufficient, and beautiful overall, especially if the sky is clear at night, you’ll be amazed by the number of starts you could see in the sky. Highly recommended, stay at least 2 nights if not more!!

  • This was our first Glamping experience. The camping site was nice and clean. The tents had plenty of space for 4 people. Camping chairs and material for a camp fire was readily available. The staff was very friendly. Also, Zeehan is a nice and cosy small town.

Tea Tree Bungalow is part of a small fully accredited accommodation business that has been continually developed over 12 years. Close to the town centre, cafe's, hotels and supermarkets, RoamWild Tasmania tour company, The Paragon Theatre and West Coast Wilderness Railway. It is fully renovated, quiet, very well appointed, warm, cosy, comfortable, stylish and you are free to forage in the kitchen garden. Great for couples, singles, business travellers, and families (with kids) Fully insured.
As a seasoned traveller I have tried to provide everything you could need. The most common comment I receive from guests is "you've thought of everything". Comfort, style, cleanliness, convenience and good service were my main objectives in developing this property.
Queenstown has a unique and fascinating history and I highly recommend booking a tour with RoamWild Tasmania to hear all about it. The town is famous for its bare hills which were a result of past mining practices however the vegetation is rapidly taking over and the mountain scenery is breathtaking. Well worth spending a few days to explore Queenstown, Strahan, Zeehan, Rosebery and Tullah. All within 45mins drive.
  • Great location. Nice and clean place to stay. Highly recommended

One bedroom apartment, separate bathroom with spa. Washing machine included to do your own laundry or laundromat dirrectly accross the street. Dinning room and lounge combined , tea and coffee supplied, self contained with small fridge, two burner hotplates, microwave, toaster, iron and ironing board, tv and remote. Fan and heaters. Very quaint and cosy.
Queenstown is a beautiful friendly town that has so much heritage you will be ..bewildered.
  • Irene's spa apartment is a small comfortable place with everything you need. The bathroom must have been a bedroom in times gone by - so quite spacious - it has heat lamps and a column heater to enhance your spa experience.

    Susanna2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We (a couple) spent one night at the Rack. The accommodation met all our needs. Even having oil heaters to warm the bedroom on a cool summer night! It was a shame the spa bath was out of order (would have been lovely to soak in it after hiking in Cradle Mountain earlier on our trip) but we had prior notice.

    Alexa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome little place!

  • Irenes place is lovely and central to Queenstown, quiet, amazingly clean and Irene is a very prompt and thorough host, would definitely recommend to anyone

    Danielle2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Irene's place is in a very convenient part of town--across from the laundry (which helps!) and near available pubs, cafes, and within walking distance of everything, including the railroad. Her place is very eclectic (I mean this in the best sense), full of interesting objects. It was very clean, with a nice lounge to relax in at the end of the day. And a wonderful bed! Thank you.

  • Joy's accommodation is a time travel of the most comfortable kind! what an experience! I was lucky enough to have a bed with mattress heating. and what a bed! I slept heavenly. In the bathroom, I had a wonderful bath, with the possibility to use the fireplace. for romantics only to be recommended! my accommodation was so spacious that I felt at home. the whole house has a wonderful, old soul with a lot of antique decoration. Thank God, Joy reserved a table for me in Paragon next door. I had a five-star dinner in a historic movie theater with two world-famous movies from the fifties. what an experience. Do not skip this when you're in Queenstown. an absolute must!

  • Room with ensuite was lovely and bed very comfortable. Lounge and kitchen areas were well equipped and cereals and eggs provided for breakfast. We went over to Strahan for an evening show after a tiring day and found the road difficult to deal with.
