  • Location, location, location... We wanted something close to downtown Lexington and we got it! We will definitely be back again.

    Trisha2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The decorations were very nice and Ryan made sure to leave clear directions on how to get in to the flat and access the wifi. While we had a nice stay, there was a pretty strong smell when we first arrived and the room was slightly musty, although this cleared over time. Overall a decent value.

    Jenna2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Location is very convenient to UK campus.

  • Great place.

  • Ryan's apartment is right next to UK campus, so there is tons to do nearby! I loved the way it was decorated, it was clean, check in/out was easy. My only complaint was loud neighbors, but that only happened one out of three nights I stayed. So overall this was a great place to stay!

right in the heart of down town Lexington. A stones throw from Rupp Arena, Memorial Coliseum, gourmet food, local coffee shops, boutiques, & more!! We will leave a notebook full of our favorite hot spots.
  • The apartment was really nice, cosy and welcoming. I definitely could stay longer if I could. The parking log is a big plus and the keyless access a really good system. It was a really nice place to stay.

  • Great location! The place was clean and neat! The bed was very comfortable, slept like a baby! Ryan was very helpful with directions and responded in a timely manner!

  • A very pleasant and nice place to stay in the UK campus area. Ryan was on top of things, and I will be staying again if the apartment is available when I make my next trip.

  • Clean, good location, and Ryan was very easy to reach if needed. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

  • Ryan's place is beautiful, clean in great value. I have stayed at his place twice and both are great stay. Ryan responds to messages quickly and has prepare pretty much everything a traveler needs in a stay. I find it's nice to have a full kitchen and cookware in the kitchen if you feel like cooking or just making some coffee. I definitely will use his place again if I travel to Lexington again.

    Victor2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's apartment was fantastic! Easy to locate, nice convenient location, beautiful decor. We felt as if we were staying in a nice hotel suite. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lexington!

  • The space was very clean, simply but beautifully decorated. I was in town fora few nights for a family wedding and my sleeping arrangements/family gathering times kept changing which meant I had to switch up my reservation a couple of times. Ryan was quite accommodating right until the end (24 hrs prior), just like it says in his listing. I was not in the apartment for more than 12 hours, so I couldn't say much about the neighborhood. But for the time I was there it was quiet and when I left it was a hop and a skip to a cute little bagel shop. I'd recommend Ryan's place to anyone wanting a fairly centralized, cute place to stay in Lexington.

  • I stayed here for a conference that was at the Gaines Center, so this could not have been more ideal. My friends who chose the dorm accommodations were jealous of how close I was! It was a really easy and quick walk to the university or to High/Main Street. The space is a nice, open studio-style apartment with enough amenities (small coffee maker, microwave, range, etc.) to feel at home.

    Elizabeth2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for our one night on a road trip through Lexington! We'll absolutely look to stay again the next time we're coming through.

  • Awesome little gem very close to downtown. The bed is very comfy. No Tv though. And very reasonable for the price for the flat studio apartment. Very very clean btw.

  • We thoroughly loved staying at this house. We were also here on Memorial Day weekend and then return for Labor Day weekend. The house was clean and comfortable and I really enjoyed fishing in the Pond. Benson's Dad was very hospitable and even gave us some home grown tomatoes. The house is far enough away from town to give you seclusion but close enough to everything to just be a short 10 minute drive. Very affordable and met all our needs.

    Clarence2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a beautiful home. It's furnishings are beautiful and it is situated in the midst of exquisite rolling Kentucky Bluegrass pastures. You feel as if you are secluded and yet it's only a few minutes to restaurants, shopping and main roads. The best of both and a very homey feel. Excellent experience!

    Karen2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The setting for the guest house is just lovely. The host and his father did everything to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, right down to leaving us some weet treats.

  • What a great place! We'll definitely be back. We were traveling with two golden retrievers that loved the paturer ro run in and the pond to swim in. The house was nice with great views and close in yet very private and relaxing. I thought the bed was a bit on the hard side but my husband thought it was perfect. There's no hair dryer or shower soap. Very nice family and easy good communication.

  • This delightful two bedroom house is a great place to stay in the Lexington area. It's situated on an 11 acre manicured farm, not far from groceries and a large park with a trail around a lake. The house itself is beautifully appointed with period antiques and art, and has everything you need to enjoy a short or longer term stay. It also had blazing fast internet. I loved it!

This house has it all! An Equipped kitchen, laundry, large living space, w/ brewery and restaurants at the end of the street. The Legacy Trail is directly behind the house. Downtown is a 1 mile walk away. Jefferson Street and North Limestone restaurants and pubs, Rupp Arena, Horse Park, Keeneland, US 75/64 all nearby. Fabulous location!
The house is located in a desirable, urban and quiet downtown Lexington neighborhood. You will have complete privacy but we do live across the shared driveway in the house next door and are happy to help in any way. This house provides spacious and comfortable living space for you and your guests. There are 3 separate bedrooms and 1 full bath, a full use kitchen with everything you need, and a large living room with Cable TV and wifi. We provide coffee, snacks and other essentials for your use.
You will love the location just 6 blocks North of Downtown Lexington. We can't emphasize enough how great the location is to so many things to do in our area. The mounted police horse paddock and the Legacy bike trail are behind the house so although we are in an urban neighborhood, it feels like the country. We live here and we love it!

  • This is a fabulous place! Breck went out of his way to help us, even though I got lost in the rain (it is actually easy to find, just not at night, after a 6 hour trip in the rain) and the apartment itself is convenient, comfortable and large. I would never stay anywhere else in Lexington. This is a great place with a great host!

2 blocks from the heart of downtown Lexington, Rupp Arena, and Transylvania University. Quiet tree-lined street in the Historic Northside Neighborhood. King-size bed, original artwork, cable TV, wireless internet and off-street parking.
The studio is on the 3rd floor of a four story historic building in downtown Lexington. Originally a classroom building of Campbell Hagerman College for Women built in 1905. The building has undergone several transformations over the years. In the 1940's there was a housing shortage and the building was converted into 27 studio apartments. We have combined the apartments so now there are 10 units in the building. The studio for airbnb guests is decorated with some of my own personal artwork and pieces by other local artists. The bedroom furniture is Broyhill Emphasis from the early sixties. The elevator is up and running. The 4th floor is sold and occupied by a single lady. This room is below her master bedroom so you can hear footsteps and floor creaking from above. There are 3 other studio apartments on the 3rd floor and a larger 1 bedroom. These 3rd-floor rooms are all part of a single floor condo plan.
Second street is beautiful with a wonderful array of historic homes. There is a quaint wine shop and market at the end of the street as well as a dozen or more restaurants within a 1 1/2 block radius. During warm weather there is a Farmer's market 2 blocks away on Saturdays. All of downtown is an easy walk. The edge of the University of Kentucky's campus is 1 mile away.
  • My stay was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every minute my room was perfect. Very clean bed comfortable plenty of room. Art work charming. Loved sitting the porch. Walks in the neighborhood very close to downtown and great places to eat I LOVE Lexington ! I will only stay here each and every time I visit this special area of the country

  • Marco does a great job keeping the unit I stayed in clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The building is charming as well. He stocks the coffee bar with coffee, tea, orange juice, and bagels. My unit didn't have a full kitchen, but I was happy to make coffee and a bagel in the morning and there are plenty of dishes. Marco even gave me toothpaste when I realized I'd forgotten mine. It was a great experience staying here. Nice neighborhood in a good location. I was in town for a conference at the university, which was only a 20 minute walk.

    Sean2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely building and what a lovely host, to boot! Marco is so thoughtful, and the lodgings so thoughtfully appointed. It was a perfect fit for our stay, and in a great location.

    Daniel2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely great in all different aspects. Cleaness is something that I usually care about and this one, was perfect. Also, host was really nice and respectful. The place also is great because we had privacy, comfortable bed, space, and a small kitchen where we could have our breakfast. We had everything we needed and more. I absolutely recommend this room.

    Lídia2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place. These guys are masters of getting all the little touches right. Super cool building. Great studio, just as described. Way better than a hotel. Love the trees in the parking area. And the price is right. If fact, they should charge more.

    Robert2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a treat... in a beautiful Lexington historical neighborhood close to places to eat! He was helpful aiding in our get-around through town. The room was very artsy and comfortable.... I will use Marco's place again. Thank you! He was helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out.

    Beth2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marco was the epitome of professionalism; accommodating my unsure arrival time and walked me through every detail. The neighborhood was better than I imagined, and was stately and beautiful. The accommodations also far exceeded my expectations - the pictures don't do this justice! If I'm ever in Lexington, I'll CERTAINLY reach out to Marco and stay here again!

    Leneia2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marco's place is perfect! He made us feel welcome, and we loved the art and decor in the studio. It is in a great location within walking distance of lots of wonderful restaurants and attractions. We had a wonderful trip, and we would absolutely stay there again!

A small (private entrance) bedroom with queen bed, mini-fridge and full bathroom. Small microwave. Located in a safe, quiet neighborhood in South Lexington. Restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, mall, banks, movie theaters etc. within 1 mile in most every direction. A cozy, clean place to stay if you are passing through, or visiting, without paying hotel prices.
Safe..quiet...cozy(small)room in the front of my house. With ---tv---mini fridge and a microwave. Also, an electric kettle that boils water in seconds, with complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate packets. ----Large closet with hangers & a couple of shelves. There is also an iron and ironing board inside the closet (even two tennis rackets and two sets of golf clubs are in a closet,..should anyone need to borrow them). Two USB ports for charging devices. Free wifi. There is a sitting chair and a sturdy fold out table that can be used for eating and/or as a work area for a laptop computer. --Clean bathroom and the shower has excellent water pressure. The house was built in the late 1990's. ---I can provide a twin size air mattress, along with the queen bed, if two people want to sleep in different beds. This crowds the room quite a bit, but it can be done. Let me know ahead of time, and I will have the air mattress already inflated.
Quiet and secluded area yet very close to all sorts of businesses, restaurants, pubs, banks, movies -----Great neighborhood for walking or jogging. ----Close to most everything in Lexington. Well,..virtually no area in Lexington is THAT far away from any other part of the city. Nicholasville Rd. has the most traffic lights and is the busiest road. It is the closest way to downtown but around 4:30 to 6:30 pm it may be faster to take Tates Creek Rd., Clays Mill Rd or even Harrodsburg Rd.(all via Man O War). But traffic is never too bad, compared to BIG cities. Though traffic on Nicholasville Rd. can still be frustrating, especially on the weekend.----I mean, if you are going some place on the furthest part of the North end, you can usually get there within 25 minutes(depending on the time of day). Primarily because New Circle Rd circles around the whole city and Man O' War Blvd circles around half of Lexington. So, if the primary roads are busy, you can get on New Circle or Man O War,----then Tates CreekDr., or Harrodsburg Rd. and avoid most of the traffic lights and congestion of going straight through busy areas like Nicholasville Rd.(the Fayette mall area), downtown, UK's campus.---- My place is across the street(walking distance ---3/4 of a mile approx.) from "The Summit". The Summit is a nice, new boutique style, "upscale" shopping center [J.Alexander's, Ted's Montana Grill, Blaze pizza, Shake Shack, Starbucks, World of Beer, Atomic Ramen, Core Eatery, Athenian Greek food, a huge Whole Foods, Pottery Barn, Brooks Bros. dress shops, gift shops, pubs etc. etc.) It is an interesting, new style of shopping and eating. There are townhouses above many of the stores. It has been designed to feel like a little village. I think it's neat(though, honestly, most stores are over priced) and worth visiting, if you have the time. If walking there, you do have to cross Man O' War Blvd, which is a 4 lane road, but it is really easy and safe if you cross at the traffic light. ----Downtown, UK campus, the airport are all about 5 to 6 miles away. Keeneland racetrack is just past the airport, so it's about 6.5 miles away. Fayette mall(largest in the State) is 1.5 miles away. The Kentucky Horse Park is an attraction that is probably the furthest away from me. It is 18 miles away (31
  • Howard is a very kind man, and offered my boyfriend and I an exceptionally clean room to stay in for three nights. Howard was very flexible when it came to us changing the dates of our stay, and gave us complete privacy. This was definitely the cleanest Airbnb I have stayed in-- I cannot recommend Howard enough!

    Alexis2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for one night and found it to be a pleasant, cozy room as described. The separate entrance to the room makes this the perfect place to stay on a budget in Lexington if you enjoy your privacy.

  • Howard's place was convienant and simple. Perfect if you just need a place to stay for something in Lexington. Not big or many surfaces to eat on but quiet and cozy.

    Garrett2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, cozy place to stay. Howard was great at communiicating with us and his place provided a wonderful place to rest and chill after a long drive. Could not have had a better experience!

    Jasmine2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Howard's place is just as described. The private entrance was key for me as my flight was getting in late and I didn't want to disturb anyone. Howard was so kind and left me a note welcoming me and let me know to reach out if I needed anything! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The perfect amount of space. I would highly recommend staying here. So conviently located to all things in Lexington in a nice little neighborhood. Thank you Howard!

    Jessica2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Howard's space is awesome: it was really affordable and so close to downtown Lexington. The shower is amazing - the water pressure was wonderful after a long day on the road. We really appreciated how quickly we were able to check in and settle in. Howard had a stocked mini-fridge and hair dryer in the room, which were nice touches.

    Adam2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a safe private place where it is easy to come and go as you please, this is it. Howard is very conscious of your privacy but an excellent communicator when you need information or plan on checking in later than expected. I had a well-rested stay in a beautiful area of the country. Thanks, Howard!

    Jocelyn2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend in Howard's room. It was close enough to the UK campus (we were moving my daughter into school!) that we had an easy time going back and forth. It was nice and private (we didn't see Howard but he left a very sweet note welcoming us and wishing my daughter luck at school in the coming year!). We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks, Howard!!

  • Amy was a wonderful host. Her communication was speedy and very professional. The home was absolutely amazing, and just as better as the images shown of the property. I would say that the home is in a very quiet residential neighborhood, and that's it's important to keep this in mind when booking your stay. I've tried to get Travelers Cottage on my every visit to Berea, and this time I was lucky. But great place! Everything you will ever need or have in a home is right at your fingertip. Amazing!

    Carmanta2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • I went to Berea to visit my daughter who was doing a summer internship. It was a "girls' weekend" including my older daughter and mother. We couldn't have been happier with our first Air Bnb experience. The house was beautifully and artfully decorated. All towels and linens were provided. The open space of the the living area was far superior to a hotel room! The location was wonderful because we could walk to all the shops downtown. If I ever make this visit again, I will definitely stay at Travelers' Cottage.

    Susan2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's house is spectacular!! My friends and I needed a place to stay for a wedding at Boone Tavern and we are so happy we found Amy's gem of a place. • A beautiful and comfortable 1940's style house with modern features. Great location in an older, quiet residential neighborhood. Had morning coffee on the front porch with a beautiful visiting cat from across the street. A very delightful stay.

  • You can walk to Berea College and a bunch of nice places to eat, plus the home is right off the highway, so very convenient for travelers. Berea is a sweet town, and the neighborhood of Amy's house is especially friendly and nice. A beautifully decorated, well-cared-for older home with lots of personality and coolness.

  • I've stayed at many Air BnBs at this point, but this one has set a new standard for me, I think. Exactly as pictured, very clean, comfy and cozy, nice porch and neighborhood, every little detail a 'work of art'...well thought out for the traveler. My only regret - just one night! A gem. • I came with a friend in the middle of the night and requested a stay just a few hours before arrival. Not only were Derek and Katie helpful, kind, and easygoing about guiding me into their area, but they had a beautiful home in a quiet, pretty neighborhood. Sadly, I wasn't able to meet them. Highly recommend.

  • Great place to stay! Super sweet and nice people!

  • Derek and Katie are the coolest hosts. Would recommend to friends and family.

    Young2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Derek and his wife were fast in accepting our last minute reservation, and were very polite and nice, even offered a bottle of water!

    Fabiana2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had intense storms, accident delays and unsafe driving conditions. Derek was quite forgiving and about our dilemma.

    Cheryl2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was lovely! I had to make some last minute changes to my reservation and Derek was super flexible and accommodating. Check-in was easy, comfortable bed, adorable home, and the location is not far from the college. Everything was clean and as described. I would definitely stay again!

  • The house was nice and clean and the hosts were attentive to our needs

    Richard2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! It was beautiful, clean, quiet and perfectly sized. I came to lexington with my mother and two small children and all were so comfortable here. It made our trip so much easier having a great place to stay! The location couldn't have been more perfect. Just far enough away from downtown to be quiet but not too far that we couldn't enjoy the city. Megan was such a gracious host and was so helpful! Thanks again for allowing us to share your cottage!!!

    Rosa2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brecks place was great! I needed a quiet place to work on a project and the place fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

  • A beautiful place! They emailed us a couple of days before and after arrival to make sure all our expectations were satisfied. They quickly responded via email to questions we had. It was a perfect place to stay in Lexington to spend time with our daughter and her family.

  • This house was outstanding. Lived up to the photos and then some. Very clean and full of nice little bonuses for guests like snacks and tourism booklets. Location was great and the hosts were fantastic. We had a really positive experience and highly recommend this place.

  • This was the best traveling experience. This was the first time my wife and I have used airbnb we were a little skeptical but thought what the heck, let's try it. I came across Breck and Linda's listing and just loved the description and pictures. Let me tell you it was everything they described and better. What a great first experience. Booking was easy and the residence was wonderful. Jonathan and Megn met us and made us feel right at home. Thank you Breck, Linda, Jonathan and Megn for making our stay so great. Our daughter will be attending Univ. Of Kentucky so now we have a little home away from home when we come to visit (URL HIDDEN) hotels for us.. unless Breck and Linda's place isn't available. Location was fantastic also for finding food, drink or whatever you need. Thanks again for a GREAT TRAVEL EXPERIENCE.

An inviting cottage in Berea, Kentucky located near Old Town Berea, walking distance to art galleries, restaurants, coffee shops and cafes. One bedroom with queen bed and has a patio in front of the home and a more private deck out back. Cable TV and high speed internet.
The neighborhood is very near Old Town Berea Shops and Galleries and Berea College Campus.
  • Amy's place was very cute, clean and centrally located (to where I needed to be). I only stayed a night, and didn't meet Amy, but she was friendly and responsive, via email. I'm a light sleeper, so the only downside was a nearby train that blew its horn and awoke me a couple of times, in the middle of the night. If I had known maybe earplugs would have helped. Even so, I was happy with my stay and would recommend her home.

    Norma2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's cottage was adorable!! We will definitely come back and stay longer! She was also very accommodating on our check out) thank you so much Amy

  • The Painters Cottage was lovely !! It was within walking distance to our destination :-) . Our host has a lovely home and it is very welcoming to guests. We had everything we could have needed. The outdoor porches were wonderful. We sat on the front porch swing and had our breakfast before the start of our day. It was perfect.

  • This was a cute little cottage tucked away in Berea. Exactly what we were looking for! Great walking distance to everything in downtown!

    William2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this little house for only one night, but would have enjoyed more time to explore the area. We shopped, dined out, went for a long and lovely walk through the surrounding residential areas and along a small creek. The bed was comfy, the internet fast, the bathroom small but clean and functional, the kitchen well-equipped with everything we needed. Description is accurate but the place even better--a nice view from the private deck in back and lovely original art displayed. The only glitch was a malfunctioning CO alarm beeping in the middle of the night--easy to reset and didn't detract from a five star rating.

    Janine2016-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's house was beautiful. The house is located on a very quiet street, which was welcome after busy days of class. The house is easy to find, and is surrounded by a lot of things to do and places to visit. Amy provides a ton of information on places to eat at, as well. The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. Amy had everything I needed, even a hair dryer! She was also quick to respond to any messages. I have already recommended Amy's house to friends and family. I hope to stay there when I visit again.

  • Today at 1:40 P(URL HIDDEN) These guys will remain at the top of our list of best Airbnb places to stay. Nathaniel and Eddie came down and guided us into a good parking place then they even carried our bags! The room was neat and tidy and the side tables had tourist information for us to use. They had a welcome basket with crisp, clean white towels and a few goodies. The laundry is conveniently located in the closet and there was a thermostat that just controlled the temperature in our room. The next morning we were treated to a hot breakfast, yummy coffee and good conversation. The three gentleman that host here are easy to chat with and laid back. They genuinely wanted my daughter and I to feel welcome. During our visit the circus was in town just next door and Nathaniel and Heston went out of their way to walk us over so my little one could see the elephants. She keeps replaying the videos because really who else has tigers and lions in the back yard? We would totally stay again as we felt like family! :)

    Monique2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nate was very easy to communicate with. He responded promptly to my request when I booked last minute and kept in constant contact. When I got to the condo, I felt at home. The room has everything you will need from a personal bathroom, mini-fridge, coffee, w&d, and a tv. I went out on the town with Nate and Edward and they were able to show me around to a few different areas. Highly recommend if you come to Lexington.

You’ll love our place because of the distinct character of the home centrally located in the historic Woodward Heights neighborhood. We are close to Rupp Arena, Downtown Lexington, Keeneland, local breweries, Town Branch Distillery, Red Mile, restaurants, and nightlife. Enjoy outdoor spaces, friendly hosts, and the clean, furnished, and a spacious apartment with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and fresh, comfortable bedding. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families!
The home boasts original hardwood floors in the living room and kitchen, tall ceilings, plenty of natural light, and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Quality amenities are provided.
This downtown Lexington residence is located in the historic Woodward Heights neighborhood and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Sitting on a one way street with well-maintained older homes, it is within walking distance of Rupp Arena and near many great restaurants and attractions.
  • Haviland and John have a lovely home right in the center of the historic district in Lexington. If you're looking for a trip to go try some of the new breweries or go to Town Branch distillery (which is basically in their backyard!), this is your place! Their place is close to Rupp Arena as well, so be cautious about parking on game days as it can get crowded over there or if you are going to the game, this makes for a great spot! The Victorian home has a lot of character and it adds a nice touch to anyone's stay in Lexington. They are great hosts and keep in contact to make sure everything is going alright! I highly recommend staying here!

    Alexandria2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • This property was great! It's an older home with tons of character and very well taken care of. The space was neat and clean and check in and out was super easy. The location is PRIME. If we weren't there with an infant in some serious heat, we would have been able to walk to 95% of the places we went. Surrounded by great restaurants and literally a few minutes from downtown and the distillery district. We would definitely stay here again!!

    Jordan2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Haviland and John are wonderful hosts - responsive, helpful, and friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze, and finding the place was no trouble at all. They truly thought of everything - from toiletries in the bathroom to robes in the bedroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we enjoyed having access to a full size fridge to give our cooler a break before we headed out for more bourbon tastings. Bluegrass Tavern is a must for bourbon lovers in Lexington; the Scotch Egg at the Village Idiot is killer too.

    Brittany2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Haviland and John went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. Their space was beautifully decorated and comfortable. My two friends slept in the bed, and I slept on the couch, which was amazingly comfortable. Haviland and John are perfect hosts with a special gem in Lexington.

    Gabe2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great. Host was very responsive and courteous. Would rent again!

    Ryan2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and spacious home in quiet historic neighborhood near downtown Lexington. Easy walk to bars and restaurants. Had a great stay.

    Kenji2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay and within easy walking distance of Rupp Arena/convention center. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to contact!

    Emily2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at the apartment for a conference being held at the nearby convention center. The location was easily walkable to a number of locations in Downtown but was secluded enough that it was quiet and relaxing and gave me a chance to be away from the group. Parking was easy to find on the street at all times. The apartment is large enough that those who are staying there can spread out and have guests visit. The bedroom is well appointed, the living room is comfortable and the kitchen is an added bonus, allowing me to make a quick breakfast or snack if needed. I would definitely recommend this to couples and business travelers who want a quiet place, but one close to Downtown and the University.

  • This quaint accommodation will give you a great taste of what it's like to live on a Kentucky horse farm. We hated to leave. M.J. was gracious and fun. Everything couldn't have been nicer.

  • I have booked this amazing little guest house twice. The first time because it was in a convenient location, the second time because it is an amazing little guest house! Beautiful area with so much to do, the location is convenient to Keeneland and all the area has to offer. The hosts have thought of everything one would need to make it home away from home. The setting is beyond compare. I almost hesitate to talk it up too much because I want it available when I decide to return! Great communication and easy to find. I love this little corner of the world!

Mary Jane and Brent were such sweet hosts...very attentive and hospitable. We loved exploring the horse farm and petting the animals! Absolutely fell in love with the donkeys. Such an experience. We would definitely return for another relaxing vacation!

While part of Lexington, the City of Winchester, KY, the ease of the Kentucky River and City of Richmond, are short and scenic drives away.
  • Family wedding in Lexington. Rented the house for grandparents, nephew and family, daughter and friend and me and my son. 9 of us in huge house that had space for at least 15 and more if you want to throw down some air mattresses. Lotsa space to visit and escape to another room for phone call etc. Enjoyed the pool table and the bar and the front porch and back yard. Cows on one side and horses in the other. Kid's loved them. We played bocce ball on front lawn. Perfect place for a big reunion. Close to everything. And beautiful country roads too.

  • Excellent house/location for large family gathering. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and internal/external space to allow multiple families to comfortably live. Aaron is a great host.

  • We have children and grandchildren in different states and were looking for a place we could gather for a long weekend. We wanted a place where we could hang out together. Lexington was centrally located, and this house was perfect for our needs. The house is huge, with many bedrooms and separate baths, and very comfortable. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub and a huge shower stall. The pool table was a big plus, and the outside playhouse and yard space were great for the kids. The surrounding are beautiful and peaceful, yet only a few minutes back to civilization, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The kitchen is fully furnished, including a Keurig coffee maker, giving you the option to cook all your meals there.. There is plenty of parking on the property. Aaron is so helpful if you have any questions. We give this house our best recommendation.

    William2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our needs! Our daughter was getting married in Kentucky although she live in Louisiana and we live in Georgia. We needed a place for family, including grandchildren, a bridesmaid, gatherings, flower preparation and other pre wedding activities. Aaron's house was perfect. Cozy spots yet room to spread out. A playground, pool table and hot tub were all used. It is within 15 minutes of groceries and many other stores yet you come "home" to beautiful Kentucky country views and peacefulness. We had a couple of issues which Aaron could not have anticipated. When you have a house, things can happen unexpectedly. Aaron was very responsive in solving these quickly. Great person to work with. This house was perfect for a big group but would be fine for a smaller group too.

    Sherry2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, spacious home, easily accessible to all the amenities Lexington has to offer. Was there with a large group and it was perfect - large enough that we didn't feel like we were living on top of each other. Everything was catered for, and Aaron was very responsive to any messages that we sent during our stay.

    Hayley2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron is amazing, responsive, and warm. His home is huge, gorgeous, and scenic - but close to all the amenities and stores in Lexington. I would stop your search right now and book his place. You won't be sorry.

    Dan2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had our family reunion here. We had total of 18 people that were easily accommodated. There was plenty of blankets and towels. Pool was closed but we enjoyed the hot tub and Jacuzzi. We ate our breakfast out in the patio. The bar was a pleasant surprise. We made a lot of memories.

  • This was a cute third floor loft with lots of privacy. The bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of closet space for me to hang my clothes and both the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with basic supplies (pots, pans, plates, flatware, coffee maker, tea, water, oj etc for the kitchen, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, cups for the bathroom). It was very easy to get in and out, the parking was plentiful and the location is near UK (where I was visiting) and lots of bars and restaurants. It was everything I needed it to be for a visit with my college daughter! And it was very clean!

  • Another great stay here at Albert's apartment. Thanks!

    Jim2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was immaculate and perfectly located within minutes of anything you could want in downtown Lexington. Would definitely stay here again if visiting town again.

    Dustin2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I don't even know where to begin when describing how thoroughly pleased I was with this experience (my first Airbnb experience)! The space was exactly as described. The host was very proactive in communicating with me several days prior to my arrival, to ensure that I had a smooth check-in process. Upon entering the suite, I was absolutely amazed by how beautiful and cozy my accommodations were. The location was amazing as well, making this rental perfect for anybody in town for an event at Rupp. There was ample off-street parking, as promised, and due to the proximity of downtown attractions and abundance of Uber drivers in the area, I never had the need to use my car again until my departure (which is exactly what I was hoping for). The next time I am Lexington, I will definitely be checking availability at this property first!

    Lauren2015-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Albert uses a realtor lock box for the key and sends you the code so checking in is super easy. The location is great for Rupp and UK events. It's just off campus toward downtown. The downstairs is some rental office space, so there's no one to disturb nights and weekends. You enter through a side door into the lobby for the offices and then just keep going up to the third floor. There's a digital keypad on the actual apartment, and he makes it match the realtor box. The apartment itself is all recently redone and my wife approved. There was coffee, water, etc. available there in the apartment. This was a better option than a hotel room. If you're really tall, some of the roof lines may bother you in a couple of places, but I'm about 5'10" and they didn't bother me.

    Andy2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a very relaxing weekend staying here. Our host gave us very clear directions on how to get in and we had no trouble. The apartment was centrally located but very quiet and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of room to relax, a comfy bed, and a nice shower. The kitchenette was perfect if we wanted to quick breakfast or lunch! I would definitely stay here again.

    Anna2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and good location

  • The apartment was close enough to walk anywhere downtown. The apartment was clean and check-in instructions were easy. Overall, I felt like this was a great place to stay and a great find!

We love our neighborhood because we and the other residents recreated it from the ashes, so to speak. This neighborhood is known as the Historic Western Suburb. It dates back to the early 1800's, and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lexington. Some houses are known to date back to 1806; and one goes back to the 1790's. It is a very eclectic area with buildings that are over 200-years old, next to ones that were built in the 20th and 21st centuries. There are many different economic levels, and ethnicities, with a good mix of renters and owner-occupiers. By the 1970's this area was literally crumbling away, helped by the presence of all of the city's garbage trucks being parked here. Then various Lexingtonians came in, bought houses to renovate or to sell them to those that would. The garbage trucks were moved, and the neighborhood association hired an architect and builder to build new houses on the old garbage truck lot. Later the neighborhood worked with a developer to create the Artek condominium complex on Old Georgetown Street. More condos were created in the area, and many restaurants followed. So we have gone from an undesirable slum to one of Lexington's most unique and desirable urban neighborhoods. Who'd ever of thought! Ballard Street, where the Little House is located, is one block long and runs parallel to and in between West Short and West Second Streets. It intersects with Old Georgetown on the west end, and Jefferson Street on the east end. it is surrounded by four busier streets; but Ballard is really quiet. The north side of Ballard is a subsidized senior housing complex along with one restored residence. The south side of the street has 5 residences, with the rest being garages and backyards for West Short. The residents consist of a widow, grill chef, spa manager, stained-glass artist, Kentucky Department of Revenue Investigator, horse show steward, and the head of a University of Kentucky Medical Center Biology Lab. This is why I love this little street. It is a microcosm of the working world. One of the garages has a beautiful native plant mural painted on it, and it usually houses a carpenter. The other garage is more plain, but is used for storage by a local businessman.
  • Mother and I loved staying at Bill's little cottage. They were so helpful in every way. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this location! Thanks Bill

    Melinda2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great experience here, and hope others will choose to stay here as well! Bill and Sally were such wonderful hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed, which we did! The Little House was clean, quaint, and stocked with about anything you could need. They even left maps, brochures, snacks, and recommendations to all of their favorite places in town. We were right in the historic district and within walking distance of downtown, which made the location so perfect. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town!

    Stephanie2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful Little House. Bill and Sally were great hosts. Even gave us a comp. bottle of wine on our arrival. The House is surrounded by great restaurants and an easy walk to Rupp or other downtown locales. House itself is great, comfy bed, Starbucks coffee, huge TV. Would def. stay again. Very quiet neighbors. Felt very safe.

    Jill2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend Bill's place enough. It was magical and special, and the pictures don't do it justice-- a rare thing to say nowadays. He is attentive (if you need him to be), and provides some extremely classy and personal extras. We hope we have the luck of staying here again soon!

    Alex2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Lexington was short and sweet and everything about the yellow house was as advertised. We didn't get a chance to meet Bill, but we really didn't need to as everything was very well prepared for our stay. The little yellow house would be at the top of our list for any return trip to Lexington.

    Robert2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! This was our first stop on our bourbon tour. The location was great and Bill and Sally provided a fabulous map of local places to eat and things to see. Our favorite part was that there were so many things close by we could walk to including our first distillery stop (Town Branch is right around the corner). The house is very cute and it felt so inviting from the moment we walked through the door. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted and the bed was nice and comfy. There was even a nice little outdoor yard space where we would have spent more time if it hadn't rained. We are hoping to come up with another reason to come to Lexington so we can stay here again.

    Anna2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bill really puts in extra care to make you feel welcome. There were guides, Bill's personal recommendations, drinks waiting in the fridge, a personalized welcome sign when we came in! It was a very comfortable place to stay. It felt very much like a home rather than a hotel/rental house. The house is on a tiny, quiet street. It was a quick walk to restaurants and bars.

    Susan2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Bill was an excellent communicator, ensuring that we had everything we needed ready for check-in. Bill's hospitality showed, as we were welcomed with a personalized sign and bottle of wine. The house was uniquely beautiful. We loved that it was cozy and made us feel right at home. Even though it was within walking distance of downtown, we were off the beaten path, allowing us to wake up rested for our adventure the next day. I would highly recommend Bill as a host! :)

We were in town for a wedding and the place worked out perfectly. Derek even dropped us off at the first event. I would highly recommend staying here for anything in the area.

We didn't get to spend a lot of time in Berea, but we will definitely be starting here when we return!

  • The studio apartment is very comfortable and I love how it is decorated. It's the perfect size for two people and a few pets. :) The apartment is located about five minutes from downtown Lexington. It's quiet and doesn't have the bustle and noise that staying downtown would have. Mary left out cookies and brochures of all there is to do in Lexington and surrounding areas. I would definitely stay here again!

    Lianne2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • I come to Lexington twice a year for school. This was the 3rd AirBnB I've stayed at and definitely the best! I will stay with Mary Gay on all my return trips to Lexington. The place is comfy, beautiful, and convienent!

    Jenny2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I think it was a great one! We were greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies, some basics in the refrigerator, and a map of Lexington. The apartment was in a great location; we actually were able to walk to a bunch of breweries that were only 1-2 miles away. That's a great perk when you don't want to worry about driving! While we preferred to explore on our own, Mary offered to give us whatever recommendations we needed. We actually found out after the fact that some of the places we chose to eat at were featured in the Lexington guide book Mary left behind for us. If you want a nice, convenient place to stay for a few days in Lexington, I'd highly recommend this place!

    Jennifer2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was exactly how the pictures showed. Very quite and comfortable place and loved that they had so many extra amenities - extra toothbrush, toothpaste, hair dryer, iron, etc. Absolutely loved that when I walked in there were fresh brownies and the fridge/freezer had food options. Great place and highly recommend!

    Sara2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I find it very difficult to put into words how nice this place was! The layout was amazing and they paid attention to small details which made all the difference (from a plate of cookies to a variety of snacks and breakfast items already stocked in the fridge)! The place was very clean and quite. If you are lucky, you could wake up to the smell of fresh baked goods (which we did the first morning)! They provided a wealth of information about the area and local attractions and if you need suggestions on where to eat Mary will point you in the right direction (thanks Mary)! The location is within 2 miles of all the major attractions in Lexington. A table and chairs outside was great addition as we used them each morning while we planned our day. Mary and Jimmy were very quick to respond and accommodating. We had the pleasure of meeting both of them during our stay. You would be very hard pressed to find a better place and hosts than this! They definitely went above and beyond to make a memorable experience!

    Matt2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodations. Mary Gay was very prompt in communicating. Especially enjoyed the stock frig with breakfast items and snacks. Loved the French press coffee.

Built in the late 40's and completely remodeled, this 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home with an office space and fenced in backyard makes an excellent getaway for families, couples, or even students. Located in a quiet, quaint neighborhood less than 3 miles from the interstate, downtown Lexington, Rupp Arena, the convention center, University of Kentucky campus, and one of the cities largest shopping and dining areas, this ranch style home is ideal for short or long term stays.
We are open to 8 guests maximum, please message us to inquire about this booking for more than 4 people a stay. This home still has the original flooring in 2 rooms from its build date in 1948. It's an incredibly short drive to the most popular areas in town, or a short inexpensive Uber/Lyft. The private backyard is perfect for grilling out, or reading a book on the patio. There's a grocery store in walking distance, a delicious Mexican restaurant a few steps away, a short walk or bike ride to a park and several new local businesses popping up around downtown Lexington. If you're a night owl there's a plethora of 24 hour food options within a short car rides distance. There are two private bedrooms and one home office space. The office has a comfortable couch that sleeps one. The master bedroom has a queen bed and full bath. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed. There's also a sectional couch in the living room that can sleep 1 or 2.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, and family friendly. It provides a mixture of retired residents, and young families. There are lots of fun areas that can be walked to, biked to from our street, the closest park is a 3 minute drive or an 18 minute walk. Locally grown bike shops, coffee shops, boutiques, barber shops, breweries, an arcade bar, a unique donut shop, and local music venue are all about 1 mile from our quiet little neighborhood.
  • Great price, super easy check-in and communication. Thanks!

  • This house is why we as a family use airbnb. We got to lexington a lot earlier than anticipated and reached out to see if we could check in early, Sam and Ben cleaned the place yoo and had is in 3 hours early. The house is huge and wicked easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. Everything was clean. If I come back to lexington this is the place I will stay.

  • Samantha was very pleasant to work with and available for my questions, with quick response. Originally, there were supposed to be 4 of us, but my parents were not able to make the trip so it was just my husband and I. We were in town for a wedding and it was a perfect location to the venue and downtown. It was not more than 5 miles from each. We had a great time and really enjoyed staying in their home. It was quiet and made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again!

    Rachel2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious!!

    Danielle2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, right off but not too close to a main highway with access to stores, restaurants, gas, etc. The hosts responded to a couple of questions within minutes and were very helpful & friendly. Off road parking is available. Beds were comfy. Everything was clean and in good working condition. We had hoped to cook and eat meals at the house but there weren't really enough pots and pans and more importantly, no room to sit and eat (tiny table & just 2 chairs). Much better to stay here than a hotel for the three of us. Good value!

    Ley2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic house that is easy to find and a great fit for a night or longer. It was extremely clean and they had the air going for us to arrive at a cool house on a very warm day. The kitchen was spotless and, after a long day driving, when we got to the house the bathroom light was on which was a relief! Would recommend 10/10 times if you are going to be in the Lexington area!

    Kevin2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was mine and my family's first Air BnB experience and we were thrilled. The hosts kept an open line of communication and the home was so cute. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The hosts also left a little "brochure" with information about the area and how-to's about the house.

She was able to move into her house early so didn't need to stay at his home. He made sure our cancellation went through and helped instruct us how to get our refund. A pleasure to work with!

Single room studio on the 3rd floor with queen size temper-pedic, kitchenette and collection of artwork by myself and other local artists.
The apartment is a single room studio at the front of the 3rd floor of a four story historic building in downtown Lexington. Originally a classroom building of Campbell Hagerman College for Women built in 1905. The building has undergone several transformations over the years. In the 1940's there was a housing shortage and the building was converted into 27 studio apartments. We have combined the apartments so now there are 10 units in the building. This studio for airbnb guests is decorated with some of my own personal artwork and pieces by other local artists. I used reclaimed wood in the kitchen and bathroom to warm up the spaces in a way that only wood can do. The elevator is up and running. The 4th floor is sold and occupied by a single lady. This room is below her library so you can hear footsteps. There are 4 other studio apartments on the 3rd floor. These 3rd-floor rooms are all part of a single floor condo plan. No Smoking of any substance is allowed inside the building. A flower pot with sand has been placed on the deck for butts. Please do not throw the butts down into the yard or patio below.
  • Marco's studio was excellent! Amazing art, very comfortable, all set up with everything you could need. I wanted to be close to all the bars/restaurants on Short St; you really can't get much better than his place.

    Marshall2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in a fair number of airbnb places and Marco's is truly one of my very favorites! A beautiful space, obviously put together with care and taste, and meticulously maintained. Lovely art everywhere you look, nice plants in the hallways, many small details attended to, from the clear and detailed directions on arriving after hours to the little white noise generator by the bed for insomniacs like me. Marco, I'll add, was totally understanding when I was a bit delayed and arrived later than I had anticipated, and kept in touch with me throughout the evening. All told, this was a very nice stay and I would strongly recommend Marco's place.

    Eric2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marco's place was lovely and next time we're in town we'll definitely be checking it out. Was such a cool building and such a well laid out space. Was very close to downtown and the neighbourhood was lovely. Thanks Marco!

    Nikolas2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Marco is a gracious, thoughtful and considerate host attentive to my needs. My stay was very pleasant --- the room was very clean, cozy and comfortable.

    Peggy2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our time at this property! It was conveniently located so we could walk to most of what we wanted to do-great restaurants, nice historic sites, some fun shopping and art viewing, and many nearby great cocktails. The space was gorgeous and just as the pictures indicated. Marco was super personable and made sure we were all set to go! The coffee, bagels, juice, and yogurt was a fabulous touch. I loved the eccentricity of the space and think he did a great job with fixing it up. The bed was addictively comfortable and I appreciated the white noise machine since sound could travel just a little from the hall and upstairs footsteps-but seriously not bad! Great on site parking made the trip that much less stressful. The only critique I would offer is to have the hall light off/dimmed somehow. The light from the sides and underneath of the door was pretty bright streaming into the room. It didn't keep us up, but could be hard for someone who needs a very dark space for sleeping. The price was perfect and we would GLADLY stay here again if we return to Lexington!

    Annie2016-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little artist retreat. A remarkable building in a historic part of town but right near the action of downtown. Marco has perfected the AirB&B experience and taken it to the next level with esthetics and amienities. Comfy bed, lovely art, adorable kitchenette and bath, breakfast goodies and all the accoutrements of any fine chain hotel -- but better. It was an oasis I didn't want to leave during my busy business trip.

    Theresa Jean2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a GREAT place to stay if your interested in anything that is going on in Lexington KY. The RUPP Center, many great places to eat and Opera House are all within walking distance of Marco's place. Driving in Lexington was easy and we were able go everywhere we needed to or wanted to. Plus included in the stay is off-street covered parking for your car. The incredable historical homes that line the streets are a tour in themselves. The bed was awesome and there was plenty of hot water for showers. We enjoyed the breakfast bagels and orange juice that Marco provided. Plenty of dishes for leftovers from your nightly eatery discoveries. A full-sized refrigerator is very handy for storing your bounty.

    Gary2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Marco was very very very nice and helpful to get me settled. The place was also amazing. Great art and furniture. Honestly the best Air BNB i' ve been at! Hands down.

The upper level space is open with 2 full size beds divided by wall partitions. There is a bathroom with a small tub on the upper level. Cable TV and High Speed Internet. Please note there is a small extra charge for over two guests.
Nice neighborhood within walking distance of Boone Tavern, Berea College, Art Galleries, and other unique shops and places to eat. Near the interstate.
  • The home is just as pictured inside, spotless and newly updated, with lovely artwork throughout. The outside was not quite as tidy but fine. It's easy to walk to restaurants and shops, including Boone Tavern. It was just right for a girls weekend for 4-plenty of space and comfortable beds. It's noteworthy that the home is close to a busy, fairly noisy road, and that the back deck does not feel private as it's in full view and close to the neighbors. But we were able to relax and enjoy our visit.

  • We loved our stay at Amy's place. We were just travelling through and made the booking the day we stayed. Amy was very quick with responding to our request and with all communication. It's not far off the highway and there are restaurants and a huge Walmart near by. We had the whole house to ourselves and it is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need. Don't hesitate to book with Amy if you're in the area.

  • The house was perfect for what we needed. I love the landscaping that has been done, and looking out the kitchen window out onto the little deck was a treat. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the downstairs bathroom was beautiful.. I would love to have that shower at home!

    Rachel2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's house was very comfortable. From the comfortable beds, beautiful decor and bath, our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Amy left notes explaining check-out and how to work the remote. She also provided suggestions on food and things to do. Her suggestions were spot on! I have no doubt that my friend and I wouldn't have had the same experience at a hotel, and it was more affordable! I will recommend Airbnb and Amy to anyone looking for a homey and comfortable place to stay in Berea!

  • Allisons place is exactly as described. Located in a lovely leafy area of Lexington but easy to bike into town. Great eats nearby as well as recommended by Allison. Perfect for our stay in Lexington. Thanks for your hospitality!

Completely renovated home approx. 1 mi. from all 3 hospitals (UK, Central Bptst, & St Joe). Less than 3 mi. from Downtown. New or almost new SS appliances & spacious kitchen to work/cook in, hardwood floors throughout, front loading W/D, & fully fenced in backyard. Easy access to Keeneland, shopping, restaurants. Great convenient location for anything! Clean & "homey" with lots of charm and an extremely comfortable bed (in my opinion). So far all my guests have been VERY complimentary!!
Adorable house that feels spacious despite it's quaint size. I've tried to think of everything as far as making your stay as care-free as possible. I also live about 5 min away so if you need anything I should be able to get it to you super quick! A (URL HIDDEN) Binder is chalk full of local restaurant recommendations and menus...there's lots of great places to choose from.
Perfect location for quick access to St Joseph Hospital, Central Baptist Hospital, and University of Kentucky Hospital. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping. Biking distance to even more of the same! Close to UK, Commonwealth Stadium, UK Soccer & Baseball, Arboretum, Fayette Mall, downtown, Keeneland, Tennis Courts, Pools, Rupp Arena, Red Mile, Dog Parks, convention centers. Family-oriented, friendly street and convenient to everything.
  • Was passing through town and needed a place to stay for the night. Annie's place was cute and in a nice area. Wish I could've stayed longer!

    Lisa2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • The space was wonderful, clean and spacious. We were only there for 2 nights but wish to come back. Annie was a great communicator the entire time we were there. We were a little sad that we did not get to meet her but we arrived very late in the evening. We hope to return to this sweet little cottage.

    Kari2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Toma offered a great place for us to rest on our way home from on a long trip. And he was great in communicating and the house is exactly a scribe, even the backyard. A great place in Lexington to see the sights or just a stop on the way to another place.

    Emily2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the home and it was very clean. Both beds are very comfortable. The backyard is fenced in and was perfect for our pet. We recommend this Airbnb

    Kandi2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's place was absolutely incredible. It was incredibly spacious and open. It was clean, with ample cups/mugs, plates, etc. Annie was also incredible! She was friendly and checked in with me to make sure my stay was great. Her friendliness and great house made our stay that much more enjoyable. If anyone needs to stay in Lexington, look no further!

    Eric2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's home was perfect for our trip in Lexington. It was the most adorable house, the fenced in yard was great for our dog and Annie was great with communicating and making sure our stay was perfect. We definitely recommend staying at Annie's house!

    Kathryn2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Great location and very comfortable. Annie is a great host and very accomodating. I strongly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

    Davisson2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay here very much! This adorable little cottage is updated and comfortable. Annie made sure that there were fresh flowers in every room, and that all our needs were met. Bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great, kitchen was an excellent space. As an older house it's AC works fine but doesn't seem to get very cool, so air was on most of the time. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place! We will be stopping by again!

Plenty of room for larger parties, with 2.5 baths. Relax on the front porch or by the fireplace in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen with a dining room. Lexington is minutes away, plenty of restaurants, grocery and shopping close by.
A spacious home with fireplace in the living room and separate dining room. There are two and 1/2 baths. Three bedrooms upstairs, and a sleeper couch in the living room. Master bedroom has a private bath, the other full bath is upstairs and the 1/2 bath is downstairs. There is a deck off the kitchen and a fenced back yard.
We like that it's quiet, even though it's just a couple of blocks off main street and most of the businesses we need - food, clothing, car service, medical clinic are all within blocks or less.
  • The house was perfect for what our family needed.

    Candace2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this air bnb house for 3 nights in October 2015. I rented the house so my 3 siblings and I could stay together while we were visiting our elderly father in a nursing home close by. We live in different cities so we planned to visit, cook and eat together and catch up on our lives. On the plus side: the house was spacious and fit our needs (three bedrooms upstairs, 2.5 bathrooms, dining room table and chairs and kitchen table and chairs). The neighborhood was quiet, safe and close to stores. The wifi worked well. The host was helpful and responsive (brought essential things that were missing: usable pans, light bulbs and spoons we needed within a few hours of the request) We had asked for an iron and air mattress ahead of time and they were in plain sight when we arrived at the house. There were clean sheets on the beds and clean towels. There were no hand towels nor dish towels but ample paper towels so we used those. The host did a great write up about local places to eat in Nicholasville and Lexington and grocery stores in the area. On the minus side: The house smelled like old cigar smoke when we arrived. The house rules said no smoking in the house so I was surprised by the smell. There was a Scentsy warmer turned on in the kitchen when we arrived. There were a lot of small things in the house that if fixed would have improved the quality of this rental. A few examples are: the large front burner on the stove did not work, no light in the fridge, two of the toilets were slow to flush and the third toilet had some screws missing on the seat, making it wiggly. The flashing was hanging loose under the front door, easy to trip on. This rental worked okay for our short term stay.

  • Don is an excellent host. He communicated with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable, and he was very flexible with our schedule. We will come back to his place whenever we visit Nicholasville!

    Barbara2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything we needed this 3 bedroom was perfect. I am utterly spoiled owning timeshares but do not have one in Kentucky. I did not want to shell out $80 a night minimum for a cheap motel so this was perfect. Clean with a nice back patio and yard to enjoy. Donald was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages.

    Jennifer2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Cozy Home Convenient to Lexington is exactly as the name suggests. We were cozy. The beds are comfortable; the rooms are very spacious; the house is very clean. It was extremely convenient. We could make it to downtown in 20 minutes; Walmart was literally the next street over. The neighborhood was quiet. Don and Jenny were amazingly hospitable, readily available to us, and impressively accommodating. Definitely would (and most likely will) stay again.

    Nicole2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Donald did a great job of communicating and the home exceeded our expectations.

    Brian2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The size was great. It was clean and comfortable.

    Carol 2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our email communications from Donald were very helpful and cordial. The neighborhood was very nice - affordable, convenient, and well-kept. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was just what we needed for a family of our size, and we were able to cook meals in the very nice kitchen, so we didn't have to go out for every meal. We appreciated the sight-seeing suggestions in the information binder that Donald had in the home. The Valley View Ferry was fun, and we hiked in the Red River Gorge - spectacular! We also enjoyed ice cream from Bruster's! Everything in the home was very clean, very comfortable, and very convenient. Our daughter will be living in the Lexington area after her marriage, so we hope to stay at this home again on future visits!

  • This place is perfect for a weekend getaway. My boyfriend and I met each other halfway in Lexington not having any plans of what we were going to do while there. The location ended up being so close to pretty much everything it seemed. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. The bed was so comfortable and the decorations were so cute!! Eli was a great host and this place met all expections for the price. Minor issues with the wifi but he worked to get it fixed.

    Sarah2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the UK area -- plenty of places to eat, etc. And a good value for a private apartment compared to other available places close to Lexington.

Cool space with lots unique features, including its very own water wheel! 1 bedroom, open floor plan, sleeps 2-4. Close to hiking, crafts, Berea College, with beautiful views, and within a short drive to lots of central Kentucky destinations.
Richard Martin, a green designer/builder in the Berea area for more than 30 years, built the 'Little House' in the mid-'90s as his personal residence. The house has unique features of the house (including its very own water wheel!) and is perfect for that couple's get-away or writer's retreat. The home features passive solar design with windows spanning the south side of the home with loads of natural light. The open floor plan includes a loft bedroom that overlooks the living area. If you are looking for a unique place to stay, with beautiful views, close to hiking and outdoor activities, and within a short drive to lots of central Kentucky destinations, this is it!
The house is located outside of Berea. Known as the "Folk Arts and Crafts capital of Kentucky", Berea is home to a thriving population of weavers, instrument makers, furniture artisans, jewelry designers, glass workers, potters, painters, sculptors, and musicians. The story of Berea’s artisan community is interwoven with the historic Berea College, the first interracial and coeducational college in the South. Berea has a longstanding tradition of diversity, social justice, environmental responsibility, and community service. Both college and town are committed to the practice of sustainability and conservation, so you can see why Mr. Martin's skills were in high demand. Berea College owns and maintains over 8,000 acres of forest, including numerous hiking trails within a few miles of the house. Berea is located in central Kentucky, 40 miles south of Lexington, on the border of Bluegrass Region and the Cumberland Plateau in the foothills of Kentucky's Appalachian mountains. Berea is located in the southern end of Madison County, which is one of the fastest growing areas in Kentucky. It is rich in heritage and history. The County is unique in that it has two townships, Berea, and the larger, Richmond, just 12 miles to the north. The County sits next to Fayette County with the Kentucky River as its border. The northern end of the county just is minutes away from Lexington.
  • What a great find! We will definitely be back! We had an event in Lexington, and found the drive to be very easy. The house is clean, well designed, and has really great artistic touches to the decor. It was hot, 86 degrees, and the place cools nicely. The driveway is very steep, but it almost makes you feel like you are living in a treehouse, sitting on the front porch, drinking coffee (or wine!) My two dogs loved it as well.

  • The home is truly lovely. A wonderful location, just a short trip to Berea, not to far from the town but far enough to have quiet and the peace of woods and fields. There is a really fantastic pottery shop located off of the same stretch of road as the house and definitely worth a visit. The view is fantastic.

  • This place was exactly what we were looking for. Great location in a beautiful area with abundant hiking. If you are looking to get out of the city and reconnect with nature, this is the place for you. The cabin is well-maintained and has everything you need.
