  • This is the quintessential Airbnb experience. An authentic experience with just the right amount of professionalism and with higher standards than many hotels. Prefect if you want to escape the city and cozy up with a good book

  • Quarters were really, really nice; dogs were cute; Bill was welcoming and accommodating. There were a variety of beautiful walking trails and small markets and eateries within short driving distance. Would recommend Huckleberry to everybody.

  • Had a wonderful overnight stay in Bill's impeccably decorated studio apartment. We live locally and needed some extra space and this was perfect. Bill thought of everything from breakfast foods to hiking books. I'm still trying to figure out how he arranged to have a tiny bird's nest complete with newly hatched babies outside the bathroom window :) the space is very private and super quiet. Clean as can be. I would recommend it heartily!

  • Bill is a great host. He is always available for any questions or needs you might have. The room is cozy and the pictures are very accurate. Everything is new, clean and charming. The property is amazing, very private and offers beautiful trails and hiking. The location is centrally located to the trains to NYC, the sound, Westport, and many of the other charming NewEngland towns. We had a great experience at the Huckleberry house! Thanks Bill!

  • There is not enough to say about our recent stay - the pictures are beautiful, but they don't do it justice!! The appliances are all brand new with every efficiency you could ask for, William - we so enjoyed speaking with you, your welcome binder was perfect. The dogs were so loving and sweet - they are the best dogs ever! I cant say enough - we didn't want to leave this slice of heaven. Waking up to the lush hillside with views through every window - this is what air b&B is all about! What a special place.

    Kimberly and Derek2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • First experience with Air B&B so can only hope that any other future places will be the same five (super) stars!*****

    Sabina2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in this cozy space so much! We wish we had more time here! The snacks were a great touch. I was too scared to make coffee though...haha. We hope to return one day! And hopefully we will get to play with all the dogs!

  • We had a great time at William's quiet spot. The fresh bread and breakfast supplies were a nice touch. We ended up going for dinner and a movie in Bethel. There's a fun swimming hole right next to John Read Middle School. Highly recommend. It's a ten minute hike from the trailhead. Stay to the right.

Welcome to our Connecticut country home, where we hope you will have a quiet, calm and entirely satisfying experience. We are influenced by yoga and meditation – Barbara teaches both – and live in an uncluttered, peaceful environment where we hope you will feel entirely at home.
Nestled in the woods just 90 minutes from NYC by train. Our home is surrounded by 80 acres of watershed preserve, yet is located on a state road making it easy to find and reliably accessible when winter comes.
Redding is a small, quiet community with no real business district. There are a number of hiking trails, small farms and unique experiences. Keep your eyes open for some of our shyer friends in the woods. If you are lucky, you may see one or more; deer, pileated woodpecker (those are the big ones), fox, geese, ducks and maybe a turkey or two.
  • Very cozy place in woods for our group of 3 adults and one small dog. The house is off a main road which seems only busy only during the daytime. Beautiful CT area with very winding roads around a reservoir/Saugatuck trail. Very comfortable beds (high off the floor). We were away most of the day for holiday gatherings and returned for sleeping so no opportunity to enjoy the fireplace made ready by the owners nor their hot tub. But we did get to enjoy the wine offered! Kitchen was good for our light breakfasts while watching the various birds pecking at the bird feeder in the dining room. It also had all needed gadgets for bigger meals.

  • Lovely setting, and peaceful, retreat-like home. The house is well-equipped with many amenities and all rooms were very comfortable. House instructions are very clear and the little touches to welcome guests were much appreciated. I highly recommend this Air BnB whether you are looking for a temporary base to work from, as I was, or seeking a meditative retreat or vacation space.

  • This lovely home is the perfect get-a-way for those seeking a calm and relaxing retreat. Barbara and Jamie have taken great care of their home, you feel it the moment you walk in, and are completely ready to relax from then on. Treat yourself to a rejuvenating weekend at this sweet gem tucked away in the woods of Connecticut.

New construction! Fully equipped kitchen and all the comforts of home. Quiet country living with a private entrance. Minutes from commuter rail to NYC. Hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. Ideal hotel alternative for wedding and graduation guests or business travelers.
The apartment is separate from our house, over our garage. It is a brand new space that we just renovated including brand new appliances, windows, doors - even the walls and floors! We took care of lots of little details from the cedar-lined entryway to the USB outlets hoping our guests will feel pampered and rejuvenated. When you arrive you will find the kitchen stocked with little treats, cooking spices and other essentials you might want whether you are looking to prepare a meal or just a midnight snack. We invite you to connect to our wi-fi and via the apartment smart TV enjoy any of the almost 300 television shows and over 1000 movies available in our digital collection. If you are really looking to disconnect you will find cards and board games to enjoy.
  • This space was perfect and cozy enough for my husband and I to get some time away into quiet and relaxation. They had a great selection of movies and shows, which we took advantage of. Grocery store and restaurants a 15-20 minute drive away. Sweet hosts and made sure that we knew that they were a text away with any questions we had.

  • A++++ this Airbnb is fantastic. Comfy, clean and cozy. Everything depicted in pics and description is spot on. Jacquelyn is a fantastic host. Kitchen and pantry are fully stocked with snacks and food, which was also a major plus. Added another night because it was so awesome. Will definitely stay again soon!

This beautifully renovated country house is set on 2 acres with a heated pool in the summer, outdoor BBQ, playground & treehouse set back on a quiet, circular road. The house sleeps up to 8 people, has a playroom, movie theatre and is ideal for 2 families traveling with children. Surrounded by bucolic scenery it provides the best blend of country living and fun family activities. If you are looking for a special place, only 1 1/2 hours by car from Manhattan, Redding is the town to visit.
  • This house is perfect for a family or small family gathering. We're familiar with the area and have family near by, so it became central base for a week of cookouts, swimming, and backyard play. The house is a perfect size for 8 people to stay, and with a yard ideal for badminton, croquet, frisbee - you name it - afternoons with friends was easily doable. The pool and grill were perfect outdoor attractions, and the kitchen was great for cooking large meals. The added bonus of a ping pong table and use of bikes and scooters just rounded out a wonderful stay. Redding is a bucolic, CT town, but also has good dining out options and is 20 mins. or closer to Bethel and Danbury for even more choices and shopping - and easy access to NYC if you really need a fix of the City. For us, the house was exactly what we wanted and Gael made it really easy to have a wonderful, memorable stay. We would definitely book this place again.

    David2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at Gael's house. We were 3 couples traveling with young kids. Gael communicated really well, was responsive to emails and calls, and helped get us an extra crib for the baby. The house was clean well stocked with plenty of toys. The backyard is spacious with a nice pool and plenty of life jackets, floats etc. It is a great house for a quiet getaway away from the city. The main negative is though it says there is AC there are no units on the main floor which made for an uncomfortable summer evening. Additionally we could not even open the screen door because there were holes and there are A LOT of bugs at night.

    Renee2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The home is well maintained and offers everything you would need, particularly if you are traveling with small children (ie toys, childrens books, pool floats/toys, riding toys, swing set, etc). The home is also located on a quiet street, perfect for young bike riders, offering a peaceful escape from the city. Gael was excellent at communicating with us regarding our stay and everything in the house was very organized and/or labeled clearly with instructions so we quickly felt comfortable in his home. We will definitely consider staying here again if we have the opportunity.

    Lisa2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home with pool and children's toys/activities in a county setting. The kitchen was gorgeous and well outfitted. We spent an amazing and relaxing week here!

    Siobhan2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gael's house is comfortable and the most family-friendly Airbnb house we've stayed at so far; baby crib and portable baby bed available for use, corner guards around the ping pong table, pool floaties, gate around the pool, and a projection screen in the basement along with a lovely closet full of children's toys. My toddler son had a ton of fun the entire stay. I really liked the nicely renovated kitchen and en suite bathroom in the master bedroom. The neighborhood is beautiful and tranquil with the majority of the restaurants and shops a 15-min drive away. Pretty secluded but we liked the house so much we didn't want to venture out anyway. Besides, there is a deli and the Spinning Wheel restaurant two miles away if we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. Nice little touches like a bottle of wine at check in and labels on the kitchen shelves and cabinets to help you find what you need contributed to a wonderful and relaxing stay. Gael is a great host, easy to reach if I had any questions, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his house to anyone.

    Amy2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gaels place was amazing, it was the perfect family getaway.

    Yosef2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very family friendly on a quiet block. Be sure to check out Topstone Park as well as the hiking/mountain biking at Huntington State Park.

    clayton2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • My family (5 adults and 2 kids) stayed at Gael's lovely home in October. We were in the area for a family event and his home was a great base for our stay. The house is very well appointed and organized. Beds were comfortable and kids loved all the toys and outdoor space. I appreciated tat Gael let us use the pool past his normal closing date and was alway quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely recommend for travelling families looking for a comfortable place away from home.

  • Our stay was excellent. We stayed one night in the spacious, clean and comfortable cottage. Very comfortable bed, great bathroom and shower, large flat screen tv, Apple TV, and a really thoughtful snack spread that we really enjoyed. Rose and Jamie were very nice and accommodating, I would absolutely stay again and hope to.

    Shane2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cottage is delightful! The location is beautiful, it is so relaxing and the park across the street is a bonus. The cottage is SO comfortable and really all you can want for the perfect country getaway. I wish we could have stayed for a few more days! Rosamund and her husband Jamie were lovely, extremely helpful and very welcoming hosts. They have such a special place in this cottage and we cant wait to get back.

    Sunny2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a perfect 1-day stay at the cottage! Jamie and Rose were extremely welcoming, accommodated our earlier check-in time, made sure we were comfortable, and were happy to tell us about the Huntington Park and nearby places to explore. The Huntington Park is beautiful this time of year and we had a great time walking the trails. The woodstove makes the cottage extra home-y, and the hosts very kindly set it up for us for the night. Many amenities are very thoughtfully included; would not hesitate to stay here again!

    Claire2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • It's the perfect weekend getaway. So cozy, quiet, and clean. Loved the assortment of snacks and the delicious pancakes hand-delivered in a basket for breakfast. There was even baby shampoo for my daughter. Thank you!

    Sarah2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time at the cottage. Rosamond was kind enough to text me in the morning letting me know that Jamie had the fire stove ready for our arrival. The ride up to the cottage was so beautiful and scenic. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and were pleasantly surprised about how the pictures didn't even do it justice! The cabin was absolutely spotless and had all the necessities one could need and more. The cottage has apple TV as well a a map to the state park (which is literally across the street!) as well as recommendations of places to eat. We were also left fresh baked treats in the morning (and even bikes to use at our leisure) we felt right at home! So much so that we extended our stay an extra day. It couldn't have been lovelier...we hope to make this cottage a new yearly tradition.

    Rosalia2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rose and Jamie kindly got the wood stove going ahead of our arrival on a chilly autumn afternoon. They provided everything we needed for an enjoyable, relaxing stay. Rose was great with recommendations for places to dine and shop. She hand delivered fresh made breakfast items and wood for the stove as needed. The bed is very comfortable. The neighboring state forest is great for a bit of exercise in a serene setting. We found a popular and large farm stand with many homemade specialties and a wide range of apple varieties. We hope to visit again.

    Rie2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautiful! I'm so happy we stayed. Rose was responsive and a wonderful host. I absolutely recommend staying with her.

The apartment is great, with a fully stocked kitchen and everything you could need. Sandra is a terrific host, and we would highly recommend her place and would absolutely stay again if we are ever in the area. Thank you Sandra!

  • Can't rave enough about finding Sandra's place! She is a very thoughtful and considerate host and her home is lovely and very comfortable as well. Close to everything we were looking for in addition to some new finds. (You will get hooked on the amazing birds that visit her bird feeders and may even see a few deer as well!)

  • Sandra is a wonderful host. I enjoyed everything about my stay. Her rental property is very clean and spacious, in a nice quiet neighborhood. Sandra is super friendly, and easy to communicate with; she responds quickly to texts and messages through AirBNB. We had plenty of privacy during our stay. Her place has very nice & comfortable furniture, and a couple televisions with every channel you can imagine. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area!

  • This was our second stay at this wonderful Airbnb and we loved it even more than the first - if that's possible. Sandra is a wonderful host and her lovely home is a hidden treat in Danbury. We will most definitely be returning!

    Missy2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great living environment! It's quiet, clean, peaceful and only couple miles away from the downtown Danbury. I enjoyed the "birds' world" out of the window from which you may see the bird that you've never seen before. Sandra is very kind and helpful. She provided me enough privacy, and she would be very enthusiastic when I asked help from her. All in all, I had a nice stay there. I will still choose Sandra's house if I travel there again in the future. Thanks Sandra and Linda!

  • We stayed in the entire guest house. It was 8 people in total, 4 couples, everyone had a room. The house was amazing. The fireplaces were cute. The have wine glasses and plates to accommodate all our guest. The pool was closed for the season by the time we arrived. However, the experience was great. I wished we stayed longer. The dogs did not walk over to the guest house throughout our stay. There seems to be an invisible fence now. Scott and Durelle are friendly so if you have questions and/or concerns they will walk over. It is a nice escape from the city, about an hour drive and half drive. There is a grill and a full kitchen. No amazing restaurants popped up during my search but it is nice to cook or grill and enjoy the home and all its amenities. There is wifi, cable, and you can bring a HDMI cord to connect your laptop to the flatscreen. It was truly a great getaway from NYC apartment life.

    Dalourny2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • PROS House and pool were very nice and as described, beautiful gardens! Plenty of seating, and there were lots of towels and linens which was very appropriate given the number of people they stated the house would accommodate.   CONS I will note that Durelle was much more kind and considerate and seemed willing to have guests. My comments are for the other host who clearly didn’t want to have people in his guest house, and truly ruined my weekend with friends and family.    I have rented over a dozen times and love using AirBnB. I have never had to write a negative review, but given the horrible experience, I felt it only fair to do so. I do not recommend this host or home to anyone.  ---- Unwarranted and inappropriate communication and contact with myself and my guests: The hosts toured me around the property and gave me instructions prior to my guests arriving, all of which I followed closely.  During the tour, I was told the hosts would be gone for the day and night, and would be available for questions if we had any. Their home was separate from the guest house.  Yet during the stay, he contacted us unnecessarily multiple times via text and by showing up unannounced in person. His continued looming, overbearing, and disrespectful presence prevented me and my guests from enjoying themselves.   Specifically, the host showed up multiple times throughout the day and night, completely unannounced and unprovoked into the guest house WHILE my guests and I were trying to enjoy our evening. He kept trying to "check in" like some kind of chaperone in front of my guests. He clearly was petrified that anyone was staying in his home, and never should have rented it out.  He sent me unnecessary and demeaning texts throughout the entirety of the event when we were behaving very responsibly and were not causing any noise or other disturbance, including a random text asking that my guests don’t “trash his house”.  We were literally playing board games.   We are dog people, and I informed the couple this before the event. However, I informed them that we have one guest who is very scared of dogs. They said they would only run the dogs from 6-8AM daily. Around 10PM on Saturday evening, after he had contacted me unnecessarily via text and in person, the very large dogs walked onto our patio, by the grills, amidst our guests.     After assuring him we were fine and that we were following all the rules of the house, he walked to the back of the house and opened the door unannounced, walked into the party and told me to "Just chill!" with a serious attitude in front of all my guests. It was completely insulting. My guests were equally appalled. He and his wife came by the house on various other occasions, including to water the plants that I offered to water- an offer he had accepted....

    Tara2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house is beautiful, perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is spacious and well equipped, with a beautiful serene yard. Only 20-30 min in a cab from the Bridgeport station, it’s also super easy to access. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and accommodating to our needs.

Scott provided some lovely little touches such as toiletries in the bathrooms, water by the side of the bed and breakfast if required! We will be back next time we’re in Connecticut!

We liked returning home to find the neighborhood children playing outside and in the dark. They seemed to respectfully call it a night upon our return. The space was thoughtfully cared for with lovely linens and towels. The lavender color added to the peaceful and restful experience. We could have sat in a sitting room area if we had chosen to. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable for us to visit in as well. We had a private entrance and we were welcomed into the main part of the house where the kitchen is. It was a wonderful stay and suited our needs by location, hospitality and accommodations! I highly recommend their place.

  • Secluded, private, incredibly warm hosts full of local tips that were spot on. We felt extremely comfortable and happy, so don't hesitate!

  • Really lovely, extremely spacious and private studio...we’d recommend it! We could hear owls hooting from the nearby woods. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, mini- fridge and dishes/tableware (yogurt and granola bars and a French Press for self-service). Room enough for practicing your pm or am yoga, taekwondo, strerching, or dancing—pretty unusual.

A Bucolic antique farm property in the Fairfield County countryside. Welcome to Connecticut country living at its best! A warm & welcoming antique New England cottage for both a couple or small family. Enjoy the gardens from your private patio, take a dip in the pool, read a book surrounded by fall foliage and retire to your very private suite and relax in the hot tub. Call The Benedict Barn Cottage home while exploring the area.
Escape to a 5-acre estate in scenic and pristine Bethel, CT just 70 miles from NYC. This exquisite piece of New England history: The Oliver Benedict House on Codfish Hill. was built in 1796 and has had an incredible list of owners, including the one of the first families in Bethel (The Benedict Family), The (P.T.) Barnum Family and Helmsley/Spear Families. Your stay on Codfish Hill will be in the 200 year old converted milk barn with private entrance, beautiful loft, exposed barnwood beams, tons of natural light, Jacuzzi tub, and full bath with wilderness and wildlife all around you. The barn cottage (where you'll be staying) is flanked by beautiful gardens and adjacent open space. Codfish Hill is a great place for a relaxing getaway approximately 1hr from NYC. We are situated for day trips to state parks, ski hills, beaches, museums in Hartford and New Haven and several wineries on the CT Wine Trail. Note: A 2nd bathroom will be opened up for you to access if you have booked a stay, utilizing the 2nd bedroom, meaning you have additional guests in your party beyond 2. We also selected "hot-tub" as our bathtub is a HUGE JETTED tub. (That selection wasnt an option in the system.) ________
Bethel, CT is a charming town nestled in southwestern Fairfield County and is part of the Danbury metropolitan area. Bethel offers a rich colonial history, local flair and breathtaking rolling landscapes. The town is mostly residential and its main thoroughfare Greenwood Avenue has been designated as a Historic District. You can visit the other historic homes of Rev. John Ely and Seth Seelye - both on the National Register of Historic Places – The town is home to the Blue Jay Orchards for apple picking, Putnam Memorial State Park, Bennett Memorial Park and Taunton Pond. Also, for those who like to go antiquing, we have a variety of antique stores within 25 minutes in nearby Southbury and Woodbury. The Codfish Hill area of Bethel is among the most historic, rural and beautiful areas in New England. Located just north of Huntington State Park in Redding, hiking, biking, kayaking, snowshoeing and a host of other outdoor activities are right in our backyard.
  • Sally and Tom were the epitome of what I believe an Airbnb hosts should aspire to. From our first communication to our last they were thoughtful, considerate, and welcoming. I took a bit of a gamble on this location as it was roughly an hour from my intended destination. I wagered that the ambiance and the amenities made this choice well worth the ride. It did not disappoint. The cottage is in a beautiful location, has plenty of room, is meticulously kept, and takes every advantage of ambient lighting. The innate tranquility was the perfect place to return to after long hard days of training. Anyone passing through the area would be hard pressed to find a better spot to pass their time. Thank you Sally and Tom. Cheers.

    Robert2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the barn cottage was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is well kept and extremely organized, not to mention she left us a few snacks upon arrival which was an added perk. We got in touch with them to help us a build a fire in the wood stove and Tom came over promptly to help us out and could not have been nicer. Such a great time in Bethel.

    Emma2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sally was an excellent host. We have a fabulous time at the red barn house. Everything was just as described! The compound is beautiful! She provided us with towels, toiletries, snacks, access to movies! We are looking forward to coming back!

    Jennifer2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This farmhouse cottage is the perfect getaway. Sally and Tom are outstanding hosts -- very warm and communicative while at the same time super-respectful of one's privacy. I happened to stay on a weekend when it snowed and it was beautiful -- a winter wonderland. Tom made sure every path I needed was shoveled and even brushed off the snow on my car. The cottage itself was a cozy home away from home, the fridge filled with necessities and snacks Sally thoughtfully left for the taking. I loved keeping the woodstove burning and cooking in the kitchen. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone (and already have!). And I hope to be back sooner than later. Thanks to Sally and Tom for everything.

  • The description was extremely accurate -- everything was clean, and beautifully decorated.

  • The cottage is fantastic and Sally and Tom are great hosts. The place is cozy and has all the amenities you'll ever need. Loved the king size bed, the rustic touches and the modern appliances. Truly a home away from home.

  • The place is just as described by the hosts. Small but comfortable. The place was clean and had all the basic amenities. The description says there are pets on premises and so the place smells a little bit of dogs but not an issue. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Good for 1-2 people for a short stay. Overall our stay was just as expected.

  • David's place is truly outstanding! I am a medical student, and am currently rotating at Danbury Hospital, and David's place was exactly what I was looking for. The space is clean, stylish, quiet, close to the hospital and restaurants, and I would come home every day and see their cute dog! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone! David and his wife are FABULOUS hosts, and extremely accommodating! I will definitely stay here next time I'm in town.

In the event both rooms are taken please SHARE the bathroom with other guest.

With cooling or heating you will be comfortable at all times. You are welcome to hang out with us, or be in your room to recharge for the next day. We do have a washer and a dryer available for extra fee for your convenience. Please just ask about it. Book us and enjoy your stay.
We live in Danbury, CT. It is a big city but only 7 miles away you can have a different experience. Ridgefield, CT is a small town with Main street shopping, great restaurants, a fun bar and so much entertainment. The Ridgefield Playhouse, The Prospector movie theater just a short drive away. I have some coupons available for some of the great shopping and bar in town.
  • Nice place and nice hosts. Place extremely clean and well kept, and not too far from downtown Danbury (about a 15 minute drive). Common areas were downstairs and rooms upstairs. FYI, the listing said the bath would be private and it's actually shared with other airbnb guests. We didn't have any issues at all with it being shared, but thought we would let you know. One last suggestion, coffee in the morning would be great.

  • Description doesn't do it justice. Nice two floor loft style place with a very comfy bed and cute little backyard with two chairs, which was great for enjoying the sun and reading. Perfect spot for a little weekend getaway and the bottle of wine on the house was a great touch.

  • Wonderful place for a business traveler to stay. Nice residential area. Very quiet and comfortable. Check in was convenient and easy with the coded key lockbox. The huge easy chair and large screen TV upstairs in the bedroom are great touches. Very large, well equipped kitchen which I didn't really need this time around since it was only a one night stay. Frank was gracious and went out of his way to return a wireless mouse that I left behind. Hope to come back when I have another meeting in Danbury.

  • You will not be disappointed. Owners were very accommodating with loads of amenities that made the stay such a delight. Felt right at home ... a great relaxing stay with every possible amenity! Not for someone older because of stairs to bedroom/bath area....only negative as I am 81 and have bad knees.

    Ann2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Frank’s Place was great for relaxing over a long weekend. It was very peaceful and it even snowed while we were there - we woke up to a winter wonderland in our backyard! Check in was simple and Frank even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We didn’t have a car but it was easy walking around and taking Lyfts when necessary. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

  • Frank accepted my last minute request for a booking and had great communication. The place is very clean, functional and roomy with the feel of a hotel suite. • Tracey was a wonderful host and his home exceeded all of my expectations. I am grateful he was able to accomodate my last minute request. The space is a lot larger then the pictures suggest and so incredibly comfortable. There were so many thoughtful amenities throughout - in the bathroom like makeup cleansing cloths and a fully stocked kitchen with coffee, snacks, water and milk. This felt like a true home away from home and I cant wait to stay here again.

  • Tracey went above and beyond in helping two road-weary travelers feel like refreshed vacationers. When we pulled into Tracey's driveway late, in cold, driving rain, we were pretty miserable, and were already dreading day two of our long drive north. Within minutes of our arrival, however, all of that had changed, and we were truly enjoying our evening. We awoke the next morning invigorated and excited about the day ahead. The perfect host, and the perfect place, made all the difference.

You’ll love our place because of the ambiance and beauty of an 1890 Victorian home. An elegant and comfortable spot for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. You over look a peaceful pond, a yard that beckons a picnic, barbecue or simply relaxing. For bicyclists we are right in the midst of popular Fairfield County routes and we store your bikes in our garage.
This house radiates old Victorian charm with the convenience of modern amenities. It has a compact warm, very stylish kitchen with the most up to date appliances, a cozy living room, a working comfortable office and inviting quiet master bedroom. An elegant compact retreat.
We are in the midst of New England grace, within walking distance to a country deli. Easy to reach all of Western Connecticut and 70 miles to Manhattan. A private elementary and preschool is nearby as are old colonials, horse farms and early churches. We have great dining nearby, from take outs to gourmet. We will be delighted to share our favorites.
  • This place was exactly what I was looking for, and it could not have been more perfect! I stayed here for 8 nights. I chose this place because I loved the historic Victorian look, and it was in Newtown, my hometown, which I was visiting for my high school reunion. I had to work remotely all week, so I needed a place with a nice office where I could set up my computer and be comfortable for full work days, plus have a full kitchen. I had the whole top floor of the house, with my own private entrance. The entire house has been lovingly restored, and they did a fabulous job...everything is beautiful and all appliances are new and worked perfectly. The kitchen had everything I might need to cook full meals, although I only made breakfasts. The bed is very comfortable...a nice firm mattress. The office was huge with two desks. I had a friend sleep over one night, and the hosts put an extra mattress on the pullout sofa in the living room, which worked great. Kathy and Charlie were delightful hosts! They left it completely up to me as to the amount of contact. I was pretty busy so I didn't see them a whole lot, but they checked in from time to time to make sure I was comfortable. I barely even knew they were downstairs...I felt completely private. I noticed some prior reviews mentioned traffic noise. I never noticed it, and I was there working all day mon thru fri. Yes, Rte 302 is a major street, but traffic during the day was light, and practically nonexistent at night. And it was convenient to be right on a major street with easy access to anywhere I had to go without a lot of back-roads driving. It was nice to be so close to shops and restaurants too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat...and hope to, next time I visit my home town.

  • Great hosts very accommodating.

  • The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The unit was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise that guests should be aware of since it is on a busy road, but it is very convenient by car to restaurants and shopping needs. We stayed for two weeks and guests would find it suitable for longer stays like ours.

  • This was our first stay at an Airbnb and I had heard both positive and negative recommendations from friends who have used their services. Our stay at Frank and Cathy's lovely home far surpassed our expectations. Frank was very helpful with making the reservation, and his description of the house seemed very nice. When we arrived, Frank greeted us, helped us with our luggage, and took the time to show us everything we needed about the home. It is an adorable New England home, lots of room, and the rooms we used are on the top floor. We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely and updated the apartment was. The apartment has been completely remodeled with all the latest conveniences that anyone could want including a Refrigerator, dishwasher, 6 burner gas stove, washer/dryer, walk in tiled shower, great lighting, televisions and all the comforts of home. They provided us with towels, sheets, soaps, coffee, tea, muffins, and sodas and beers with chilled glasses if desired. They were very caring and you could tell they wanted to be the best hosts they could be. There are a bedroom, a den, a living room, large hall, eat in kitchen and bath. All have been decorated in bright, cheerful colors. Both of the owners were there if we needed them, but not in our way, we spoke a few times during our stay and wish we could have spent more time getting to know them. There is a lovely outdoor space with a table and chairs, a fire pit, and plenty of room to relax in the hammock. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone seeking a lovely place to space some time. We may be back for another visit very soon!

  • This home is a wonderful property. It is completely updated and spotless. Everything you could need is available. The location is perfect, very central to surrounding towns and larger shopping in Danbury. The hosts are absolutely great and accomodating. It is a home away from home in all regards.

  • Charlie and cathy were both excellent hostes. We stayed 1 night to take a break from crazy Manhattan and we loved it. The house itself is beautiful and really taken care of. Charlie greeted us, what a charming man ! He recommended us some great places to eat too. All in all is was perfect. We strongly recommend it.

    Nicolas2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Frank and Cathy's place was lovely, spacious, comfortable and clean. Frank and Cathy were friendly and gracious hosts, ready to help us with anything we needed! It was an excellent experience all around.

    Miranda2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment could not have been more perfect. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. The kitchen had everything I needed, the water pressure was fabulous, and the layout was comfortable and felt spacious. The mattress was a perfect side of firmness that led to a perfect night's sleep. Having onsite laundry was quite practical and the hosts provided everything I needed, all I had too do was purchase food. The home is located between Bethel and Newtown and it is easy to find your way to stores and local shops. There is a wonderful park about 10 minutes down the road, Huntington Park, that has a variety of trails and is a great escape to some nature time. This was my first AirBnB experience and it was a great introduction to this service. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Brava, Marsha! The apartment was clean, cozy and homey. Private entry, great bed, clean and welcoming. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with nearby eateries and it was quick and easy to get back on our trip. Marsha's dad noticed we left a light on in our car all night and stopped down before he left for work to make sure the car would start. So kind. We hope to see you again when we travel up to Connecticut. Dave & Peggy

  • Marsha was very gracious dealing with this computer semi-illiterate. Checked to see if there was anything that i needed more than once. Although i needed little, comfortable bed and hot water, there is plenty more for those that need it.

  • This is the ground floor of a house with Marsha's parents living upstairs. I met Marsha's mum and she was very nice. Marsha's communication was excellent, and nice. The rooms have furniture, so good for longer stays. There is a fridge and microwave, good for breakfast and basic stuff. All was very clean. A quiet neighbourhood.

  • I had the most wonderful stay at Marilyn's beautiful home. Within minutes I felt as if I had known her my whole life and her hosting capabilities are faultless. Her home is inviting and comfortable with great company the cutest little dog. Marilyn takes pride in her home and is a wonderful cook! Staying with Marilyn was not just about accommodation but it became part of my holiday and I even changed my plans to come back. The beds are like sleeping on clouds and the house is big and wonderfully decorated. I can guarantee wether your shy or not you will thoroughly enjoy your stay and you will feel at home instantly.

  • Marilyn’s home is nice and the room is very spacious. I only stayed there for one night and I was comfortable and felt welcomed. If you stay there and order food for delivery put a note saying that this is Blueberry Lane by Kenmere Blvd, because there are 2 Blueberry Lanes in Danbury.

  • I stayed at Marilyn's home for a month and it was the perfect place for me to stay while in Danbury. Marilyn is very friendly and welcoming, but also respects your privacy and quiet time, which makes her a wonderful host. Even when she had a family emergency at the beginning of my trip and could have canceled my reservation, she worked it out for me to stay. I would definitely stay there again!

  • Marilyn is the perfect host. She is gracious and kind as well as a good cook. I came in very late the first night and she gave me delicious meat loaf. The house is pretty, clean and neat. The lawn is beautiful. Close to very nice stores and restaurants. Her dogs are very small and loving. I look forward to staying again.

Three decades of tasteful renovations — re-constructed with almost 100% re-purposed material from the property — have rendered this converted barn magazine-worthy. Set-back from the road on one acre of wooded land with a babbling brook, 353Brookside is a modern home that maintains its rustic allure. Tall ceilings, exposed wooden beams, dozens of windows, and eclectic furniture make the barn's charm immediately obvious. Perfect for romantic get-aways, events, retreats, family gatherings, and more
The entire home and 1 acre of land!
Quiet, quaint, peaceful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Easy access to nature. Very close to grocery stores.
  • We couldn't have asked for more from this listing. It looked great in the photos on the site but the actual place is far better. Everything is as described, there is a fully stocked kitchen and some extra supplies in the pantry. The bedrooms are all clean and the master bedroom is exceptional with a huge bed, a small balcony and a great shower. The house is very well located, Silverman's Farm, Booth Memorial Park are just two of the local attraction (15 min away). Mystic seaport and aquarium and the Essex steam train and riverboat are only about an hour away. there are also loads of restaurants, grocery stores and shops all within a short distance . Davis himself takes a lot of pride in the house, he makes it a point to share the story of the property with his guests. communication was very easy and fast and he was very attentive to our needs. Not only would we we highly recommend this place to everyone, we would also be very happy to stay here again in the future.

  • Could not be happier that my friends and I stayed in this home. The house-barn was so spacious and had such special character. We enjoyed the endless cd collection and beautiful art work. I would highly recommend.

  • Davis is very kind, responsive and helpful. This is a wonderful place to stay with incredible value. I highly recommend it!

    Pepi2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time. The house is beautiful, and the neighborhood is very nice. Quick to get ubers/lyfts in the area, and nice restaurants near by. The house could use a tad more TLC (mostly in the indoor and outdoor furniture) but the beds were very comfy and its a great place to stay.

    Dan2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Davis's place was perfect for my family and friends to gather for a brief respite from the city. The house provides great access to the local beaches and all of the neighboring CT towns. Davis was a very present if you need him, but hands off host, which we appreciate. The house was stocked with snacks and small touches that made you feel really at home. The house is beautiful and filled with lovely artwork. We had a great time at Bloodroot Restaurant (a feminist bookstore and vegetarian restaurant that's been around for 40 years now), perfect pre-hike breakfast at Harborview Market, and an easy for a toddler hike and adventure to the Connecticut Audubon Sanctuary. The Sand Castle Playground by Jennings beach was perfect for our little one. An enjoyable stay!

    Jamie2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay! My family got together for the weekend here and it had everything we needed. The house is beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and had some cozy spaces for hanging out. And if you like to cook, the stove in this place is incredible! It's close to the beach and a lot of charming New England towns and activities.

Our rustic River Houseboat is on the edge of the Pootatuck River on our lower pond.
Our rustic River Houseboat is on the edge of the Pootatuck River on our lower pond. The Houseboat has a comfy queen bed and a screened porch complete with two antique rocking chairs. The River Houseboat is often preferred because it is located close to the main Stone Barn and parking lot. The Stone Barn is open 24 hours and has a hot shower, toilet, and common room with internet and books. Keep in mind that because this cabin is located at the base of the mountain it is not as secluded as the other cabins. The Stone Barn has a grill outside and a full kitchen inside that guests are welcome to use. There is also a fully equipped Rustic Kitchen located up in the woods. PLEASE NOTE -The bathroom is not located in the cabin. Both the bathroom and showers are located a one minute walk away in the Stone Barn -There is a small bonfire pit located near the cabin. -Candles are not allowed in the cabins Once you book we ask that you keep us updated on your arrival time so that we can be sure to be ready and waiting for you!   We ask that all guests arrive before dark   Guests arriving after 10pm will be required to pay an additional $20 late check in fee in cash upon arrival. We apologize but we must enforce this even if you are late due to circumstances out of you control. We do not accept check-ins on Tuesday or Wednesday but message us if you want to stay through the week and are having trouble booking. It’s simple living at its best. We're just over one hour from NYC but local folks love us too. We are an easy, inexpensive "staycation" and many use us frequently as their guest "bedroom" when out of town family or friends come. We offer a unique setting for your summer get-a-way or family reunion. There is a communal Rustic Kitchen on the top of the mountain ideally situated between the Pagoda cabin, Mtn. Laurel cabin and Summit cabin. The kitchen has cookware, plates, french press, utensils, a stove, grill, coolers with ice, olive oil, salt/pepper, drinking water and running water! Lighting is limited and provided by LED lanterns - we always encourage people to bring their own additional lighting.  There are three large designated fire pits on the property. Some cabins also have their own fire pits which is noted in their individual descriptions. Fires are not allowed to be made in undesignated places! Only YOU can prevent forest fires!  Fire wood is not available this season so please pre-plan and purchase wood before arriving. Wood can be purchased at many places including Stop and Shop. Please Note per Connecticut state law - firewood cannot be brought in from out of the state.  Upon arrival we will provide you with a map and your own cooler with ice. We ferry our guests and their belongings up to their cabin at check in and upon check out but please remember that during your stay you will be traveling on foot! We cannot allow cars to drive up and down the mountain. At the minimum if you are a large party you can initially drive your car up to unload but will have to park at the base before dark. Please remember this when packing and planning your initial grocery provision trip. Most of the cabins are a 10-25 minute walk through the woods, depending on your speed. We do not allow private cars to drive up the mountain. NO EXCEPTIONS! We restock ice and other goods daily and thus try to make ourselves as available and accommodating to changing needs as possible - we are are on the property 24 hours a day in case of emergency. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Important Things to Note -Unfortunately we are not able to provide breakfast this season. If you are interested in a farm fresh breakfast during your stay you will need to request this at the time of booking and the rate is $30 a person. Our breakfast is organic/non gmo and includes a grand spread of granola, eggs made to order with veggies. You must request a time at booking -Verizon wireless is the only network to have service throughout the property. Nearly all other providers have service on the top of the mountain where the majority of our cabins are located but it is still undependable at best.  -Dogs are not allowed to stay in any of our cabins unless they are service animals. -Please be advised that we are not solely an airbnb Host; we are a working farm and while we aim to accommodate you as best as possible, there are sometimes other events going on that may affect your stay. We recommend you check our calendar of events prior to booking.  -There are three outdoor showers, one is located near the stone barn, two are located near the Rustic Kitchen area.  - An outhouse that is cleaned weekly is located near the Rustic kitchen, Mtn. Laurel cabin, Summit cabin and Pagoda cabin and a two room state of the art composting toilets are shared between the Solar cabin and Log cabin - both a one minute walk away - We have a wilderness camp that runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm : Campers and staff respect the privacy of the cabins but you might see some groups of children building forts of stalking animals through the forest  - Please be aware that depending on rain fall the property is at risk of drought in the late summer. This can sometimes cause the pond levels to drop making it less scenic for some. - None of the cabins except the River House Boat and Little House have electricity- fans are provided in these cabins - There is a Stop and Shop grocery store located 2.5 miles from the farm where all groceries can be purchased. - If you arriving via metro north you want to get off at Bridgeport and from there you can either Uber or after booking request our resident Jeff's number who provides rides $80 round trip or $50 one way. -Candles are not allowed in the cabins - We do have wi-fi in the main stone barn but it can be undependable
Though there is lots to do in the towns of Newtown, Monroe, Easton and Fairfield, surrounding Sticks and Stones Farm, most guests prefer to kick back, stay put and enjoy the quiet energy of the farm setting.
  • The host Celine was very welcoming and her relaxed energy was awesome! The property has a lot to offer, a lot to see, and we will definitely like to come back! The cabins are super cute, rustic, and perfect for a couple of nights stay. Highly recommended :)

    Lisa2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was hands down the most relaxing place I have ever been. So beautiful, so peaceful.. highly recommended as an escape from day-to-day life! My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time hiking around the property, playing with the cats, sipping wine by the river, and just exploring and enjoying nature! Also the farm is not too far from getting into town, so its easy to run out for dinner or groceries, etc. Moss mountain was incredible, as were the labyrinth and the fairy gazebo! We had a fantastic weekend and I would definitely come again! The houseboat was beautiful.

    Kelley2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the River Houseboat and it was lovely. As other reviewers noted, the bed is very comfortable. Super conveniently located next to the Stone Barn so we had access to all of the amenities we needed (full bathroom, shower, kitchen/fridge we were welcome to use). We're not true campers so this was the perfect way to have a weekend away in nature. Their property is beautiful and SO fun to explore. Sam is a wonderful host and was happy to help with anything we needed. She even brought us some wonderful cookies she baked during our stay! I would stay here again and try one of the other cabins & will be recommending it to my friends!

    Brittany2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so magical and amazing!! My boyfriend and I stayed in the River Houseboat and it was perfect! Being on the pond was very relaxing for sleeping at night and I liked that the Houseboat had curtains surrounding the bedroom for privacy. The family that runs the farm is super nice and were very welcoming. My boyfriend and I hiked all around the property and fully plan on coming back again to try a different cabin. The top of the mountain has more open-air style cabins and a rustic kitchen too, which was super romantic. Thank you Sticks and Stones for an awesome experience!

  • Francesca communicated clearly and was very accommodating to a change in schedule due to inclement weather. I stayed at her place 3 times so far. Her home was clean and convenient to Ridgefield, CT.

    Yohan2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Francesca’s place is dreamy. I had the good fortune of having the place all to myself both times I stayed and wherever I left for work I couldn’t wait to get back to snuggle-in. There was enough sun to take a walk one morning and I got to see the views of the lake in her neighborhood. Saturday night I slept 10+ hours, it was so quiet. Great place and Francesca, is a very communicative and gracious host.

    Tracey2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is within 5 miles of Ridgefield, CT but in a quiet area. I didn't stay long enough to comment about the nearby preserve.

  • Nice place, kind host. Amenities are up to par, she has helpful notes to help navigate the place, and it is not far out of the way from anything. The room was comfortable.

Weston is within approximately an hour of New York City, 10 minutes to world-class restaurants in Westport, Southport, Norwalk and 4 miles from Devil's Den nature preserve filled with hiking and walking trails (you can even view Keith Richard's compound from the trails). We are also thirty minutes from New Haven and less than a 3 hour drive from Boston. Weston is a small community of about 10,000 residents. It has a town center with just seven shops including The Lunch Box (a quaint little restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner), a gas station, post office, Lang’s pharmacy, Peters Market, liquor store, dry cleaners, hardware store and bank. Weston has no highways, byways, or though roads. It is the perfect place for relaxing, bike riding, walking, reading, writing or just contemplating. The Westport Metro North stop is 15 minutes away and has frequent trains to and from New York City. Amtrak has a regional hub located in Stamford about 25 minutes from Weston. Westchester Airport is located about 30 minutes from Weston. It is small, convenient and has direct flights to most of the country.
This is the best place for leaving the hustle and bustle behind In season, walk to Viv’s Veggies Farm Stand for organic veggies and eggs. (Website hidden by Airbnb)
  • The Weston River House is simply a lovely place to be. The appointments and amenities in the home are top-notch and state of the art, right down to the world class down comforters and soft close drawer glides. Steps away from the Saugatuck river with a level location with a surrounding lawn for children to play on and an extensive property with historical significance to explore, it was just as enjoyable to be outside as it was to be cozy and warm inside. I’d recommend it equally to anyone for a romantic getaway or a quiet, yet totally connected to the world if one wanted to be, home base during a busy work week. I’m looking forward to being back there ASAP!

  • This is the most beautiful setting in Ct. It is cinematically gorgeous . The cottage is a work of art created by talented artisans masterfully crafted from antique recycled beans, barn-board and timber. The whole place is perfection accented with incredible taste in the furnishings and accoutrements. A few days at River House and the stress of the city melts away. . One hour from New York and you are in another world and what a world . We will return when ever we can. Ricky was terrific host and took the time to explain everything and then disappeared, while just a text away if there were any questions. We have found our Eden. Run don’t walk to the Weston River House.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Weston River House. Our young boys were pumped up and excited about spending their Spring Break outdoors and this cottage did not disappoint. The kids listened to the running river for hours each day, even taking quiet time in the lounge chairs by the river. The boys are already asking to go back this summer so they can dip their toes. The cottage is rustic yet luxe, and exceptionally clean. Outstanding outdoor atmosphere with a magnificent cottage to retire to in the evening. Ricky was responsive and helpful with all of our needs. Thank you, Ricky!

  • What an amazing space. Wonderful character in this unique space. A perfect escape from the city. I will be back for sure! Ricky was an absolute pleasure to work with. The personal touches and attention to detail were really appreciated. You can’t go wrong!

Enjoy complete privacy and 500+ square feet of living space in our ground floor suite. There is one king bed, one queen bed, a comfy sectional couch and two toddler airbeds. There is a small kitchenette for simple cooking and an alfresco BBQ patio for bigger cooking. There is plenty of living space both indoors and out.
This is really a nice, cozy apartment - with ample living space! Pull into a private garage that is attached to your suite. There is a full sized refrigerator in the garage you may use. From the garage you enter a serene sun room flooded with bright, natural light. This room is perfect for reading or to enjoy a glass of wine and a quiet chat. The radiant floors are super cozy on your feet during the winter, and year round you can enjoy the great view of the woods. Take a left through french doors into your living room, and stretch out on the large sectional sofa and enjoy a program on the big screen cable TV. Order take out and sit down at your 4 person dining table. We have installed a new kitchenette in this suite, with Keurig coffee service, small countertop air fryer/oven, microwave, mini-fridge and electric griddle (great to make pancakes or grilled cheese sandwiches). There is no stove in the suite. Big cooking is done outside on a good quality gas BBQ grill with side burner; it is for the exclusive use of our guests, and is directly outside your suite, on an alfresco patio with picnic table. The bedroom has a roomy closet and a king bed. The bed can remain a king or can be separated into twins. There is a queen size Murphy bed (wall bed) in the main living room. It can be pulled down as needed. It has a comfortable 10 inch foam mattress with topper. We have two blow up toddler beds (with bedding) that can be placed on the floor, if needed. There are black out curtains for the comfort of those sleeping in the living room. All bed linens are 300 thread count Egyptian cotton. The three piece bathroom has a shower. We have lots of complimentary toiletries to use, if you forget something. Directly outside the sunroom, just steps away, is a large in-ground pool to enjoy from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. The pool is gated for the safety of small children. If you want to take a snooze or read a book and listen to the birds, there is a hammock nestled between two shade trees on the side of the house. There are two swings for the kids. We also have lawn games for the family to enjoy: soccer balls, a croquet set, Frisbee and boccie ball.
Enjoy classic Connecticut country living. We have a gorgeous yard, with three acres of nature, trees and privacy. There are a number of excellent walking and biking trails in Monroe. Good restaurants. The town park has wonderful amenities. However, our back yard is probably all you will need for your stay: hammock, pool, lawn games and guest BBQ. Come and relax!
  • Marybeth is a terrific host. We had a wonderful time and had total privacy in the suite. The pool is lovely and a true retreat. The property is large and surrounded by very tall beautiful trees that make it feel very secluded. Marybeth anticipated all our needed and made us feel very taken care of. I high recommend this getaway!

  • Amazing suite, amazing people! Marybeth and Aster do absolutely everything so you feel like home. We highly recommand this place, and will go back for sure!

  • I contacted Marybeth about a year ago inquiring about her place. I am wedding coordinator of Homespun Weddings, and had a wedding just about 15 minutes away this September of 2015. From the beginning, Marybeth was a superstar, so willing to accommodate and support us in our stay. She really went above and beyond to provide the sense of trust and security needed to house a few staff and the important wedding goods in our vehicles. The suite was perfect - the location was great, and walking into the space was like a breath of fresh air before and after various wedding events. Plenty of space, beautiful setting - we felt so well cared for. Such sweet hosts - we would come back in an instant! Thanks again, Marybeth & Aster, we wish you the best in all your journeys

  • We just had a lovely stay at Marybeth and Aster's suite. The pool is great for my boys and it is very quiet and relaxing! You have your privacy and Marybeth house book is a must read! Our favorite is the ferris ice cream place, an ultimate CT experience and my boys love the McDaddy's Mac and Cheese place, a must try if you are here! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and worry free! Bing

  • We had a lovely stay in Marybeth house. She is very caring about guests. You will find necessary instruction, information about local attractions, food etc. Plenty of games and books, so you do not feel boredom here. Also a direct tv, pool and fire. I loved fresh air and romantic atmosphere.

  • Thoughtful is the best word to describe Marybeth's place! Besides being very clean, comfortable and having tons of amenities, she made our stay special by leaving individualized gifts. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoors because it was raining during our stay but that was just fine. We had everything we needed inside to have a great visit. Her super host title is well deserved. Great visit. I hope we're invited back!

  • After a short drive from the ferry in Bridgeport, the landscape around us changed to one of rolling wooded hills, studded with rocks and boulders and criss-crossed by streams and brooks. Such was the New England quilt that we wrapped around ourselves as we made our way to the beautiful house that would be our home away from home for four days… Apologies for the cheesy description—we couldn’t resist because we’re still SO excited about the wonderful stay we enjoyed at Fox Run! Mary Beth and Aster provided us with a spacious suite of rooms that were not only impeccably clean but were superbly accommodating... Sequestered in the cozy bedroom, there was nothing to distract us from deep and restful sleep. Which we needed — because we made sure to avail ourselves of the local attractions that we read about in the large book, bulging with information, flyers and menus that our hosts were so thoughtful to set out for us! Mary Beth made sure we were never at a loss for something to do or somewhere to eat. The sun room was a treat! Every morning we had our coffee while looking out at the spacious yard. We kicked off our first day by watching a family of deer graze their way across the crest of the high hill out back. The ambient heated floor tiles were the perfect compliment to the sunlight that streamed in, and even though ours was a winter getaway, it was very warm indeed! The kitchenette was a highlight! Don’t let the “ette” fool you… With a microwave, toaster oven and even a skillet, it was a very functional space! Mary Beth set out a basket of snacks and treats and left fresh fruit on the table—perfect to grab on the way out for an adventure or a late bite. There was a gallon of fresh water in the fridge for the Keurig machine and she even saw to our special needs, by providing us with decaf cartridges! We were provided with our own garage was especially welcome when the snow started falling (it only made the surroundings more beautiful). In short, this is a travel experience that a hotel just can’t offer. Mary Beth and Aster are not only happy to share their beautiful and commodious home—they have made sure that we were able to become immersed in the region, to connect with them, learn from them, and share our own experiences as well. We recommend this special place to our fellow Air BnB aficionados and hope to go back again in the future! Mary Beth and Aster—all the best to you and thanks again!

  • As the others have reviewed this home is a perfect place for a quick visit, week-long vacation, etc. Marybeth has thought of everything to make this stay very comfortable. She brought us flowers, milk and juice upon our arrival. All instructions were given so that we knew how to use internet, TV, etc. We visited family in the area and found it a perfect in-between location to see all of them. Wish all Airbnb's were as nice. We will be back.

  • She was very kind and professional- we came in very late the first night and there was a book near the bed answering all common questions. Great first airbnb stay- thank you Bri! *For anyone trying to locate her place- if you directly connect airbnb to (Hidden by Airbnb) maps it doesn't give you the right address. Put her address directly in and it works fine.

  • Brienna's place was better than any hotel I could have stayed at and for infinitely better value--meticulously clean, homey, warm, and welcoming. She was incredibly responsive, messaging me right back every time when we were coordinating the details for my check-in. When I was checking out and mentioned I had a bus to catch, she even kindly drove me to the bus station. I'm really happy I chose her place to stay at and I would definitely be back here again if I revisit Danbury.
