This cosy luxurious self contained oak frame cabin offers the perfect peaceful setting for a relaxing getaway. Listen out and you may hear the owls at night. Backing onto the National Trust Ashridge Forest, this is perfect for outdoor lovers but equally suitable for a romantic night in. 1.5 miles down the road, the popular market town of Berkhamsted is offering atmospheric pubs and bars for a special treat out. The cabin offers comfortable, spacious living with King size bed.
Although the cabin is within the grounds of the main property, it is completely separated off by thick hedge rows to offer complete privacy to our guests. A path alongside the house leads the guests to their own entrance of the cabin. This cabin features all you need for a comfortable stay- a small bathroom with shower facility, a spacious open plan living room, an open plan kitchen with a hob and convection microwave oven grill and a comfortable King Size bed on the Mezzanine level, accessed by a ladder. It is furnished with cosy lighting, two comfortable sofas and a dining table. The cabin features a TV as well as a large DVD selection and Hi-Fi system. Kitchen: We also provide utensils so that our guests can choose to stay in and prepare their own meal if they wish. The back gate allows you to walk straight into the woods to explore 5000 acres of deer filled forest and its other wildlife. A 20 minute walk away you may wish to refresh yourself in the upmarket and cosy pub, the Alford Arms, in the idyllic Frithsden Valley where they even have their own vineyard. The cabin is only 1.5 miles away from the popular and trendy town centre of Berkhamsted, featuring a range of lively pubs and restaurants.
Our cosy little wood cabin is backing straight onto the woods, located in a quiet setting of the sleepy village Potten End, just minutes away from popular old market town Berkhamsted. You can literally walk out of the back gate into the woods and explore the nature. Here are a few tips and activities in the area: Ashridge Estate - a 5,000 acre area of the Chiltern Hills with beech and oak woodlands, commons and chalk downlands. These very different landscapes each support a rich variety of wildlife, including carpets of bluebells in spring, rare butterflies in summer and the fallow deer that rut in autumn. You can walk out of the back gate of the property into the woods and explore Miles of footpaths and bridleways. Frithsden Vineyard – Literally a 30 minute walk through the woods, and you will get to this beautiful boutique English vineyard and winery set in the foothills of the Chilterns. Besides a range of regular seasonal events you can also pass by and enjoy some of their home produced wines. Berkhamsted Town centre and Castle – have a stroll through Berkhamsted highstreet and explore Berkhamsted Castle's remains. The town has a special place in our history: following the Saxon defeat at the Battle of Hastings, it was at Berkhamsted that the bishops and noblemen formally offered William the Conqueror the crown. The Rex – "possibly Britain's most beautiful cinema" (BBC), the Rex has one huge screen set in a glorious 1938 art-deco proscenium arch, with "the sharpest film projection and clearest non-booming sound anywhere in the world". The whole experience is delightfully civilized: sink into large, comfortable seats then sit back with cheese and wine to enjoy the film. Berkhamsted Waterways Walk – Go for a walk along the River Bulbourne andGrand Union Canal which run through the town and enjoy a cold drink in the popular Boat pub. Tring Natural History Museum – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. The wonderful galleries of this beautiful Victorian museum present a fascinating range of animals, from tiny dressed fleas to a smiling polar bear and domestic dogs. The Snow Centre – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. Britain's newest snow centre at Hemel Hempstead is currently the coolest place to go to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports on indoor slopes of real snow. The main slope is 160m long and 30m wide, serviced by two POMA button lifts. The trainer slope is 100m long, with two rope tows. There are lessons for everyone new to snow, and clothing and equipment is on hand to hire. Whipsnade Zoo – 9 miles from Berkhamsted. Set on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, the UK's biggest zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. Whipsnade is noted for creating interactive and inspiring exhibits and popular daily events including keeper talks, animal feeds and demonstrations. You can drive through the 'Passage through Asia' or take the free Safari bus which stops at all the main exhibits in the 600 acre site. Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Studio Tour – the Making of Harry Potter – 9.7 miles from Berkhamsted. A visit to the Harry Potter World offers you an insight behind the scenes to showcase a huge array of beautiful sets, costumes and props and to reveal the secrets of the special effects and animatronics that made these films hugely popular all over the world.

It has everything you’d need to feel at home, as well as some lovely additonal touches. The surrounding countryside, quaint old towns and villages are stunning. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

    Beautiful 4 bed bungalow situated in stunning countryside. There are two great village pubs that offer evening meals. If your looking for a quite space, then look no further! We are home most of the time but tend to keep ourselves out of the way when we have guests. Please note over a weekend my minimum numbers are 8 people, and we can cater up to 14 people but this involves the use of the living room as an additional bedroom.
    Beautiful 4 bed house in Studham, Bedfordshire, only 15 mins from a mainline train station which links directly to London in only 35 mins. PLEASE NOTE: THE POOL IS ONLY HEATED BETWEEN MAY AND SEPTEMBER, outside these months the pool is UNAVAILABLE. House benefits from large open plan living, indoor heated swimming pool, 4 large double bedrooms, home theatre system and a very large garden which is home to a bunch of chickens and roosters, 2 cats, a pond full of fish and 2 Alpacas! The property is located in a traditional English village, located near Whipsnade Zoo and about 10 mins by car to Luton Airport. What to see and do : Gliding club Whipsnade park Golf Club Plenty of country walks Ivinghoe Beacon Dunstable Downs - great for kite flying and pic-nics! Award winning Village pubs, providing evening meals and also do cooked breakfast on a weekend Cycle rides Ashridge country park Horse riding - Ashridge Horse Trecking Indoor Ski Slope - Hemel Hempstead Breakfast consisting of cereals, toast, tea and coffee will be provided. Full office facilities are available including free wifi! Rooms for rent have own digital TV, direct access to the swimming pool, spa and gym. The rooms are very large. Also able to provide portable beds if you wanted additional beds in any of the rooms for the children. You will also have access to shared kitchen, living space and very large garden. Please note, all the bedrooms have two doors - one normal door leading into the bedroom from the main hall way in the house and a set of patio doors leading out onto the pool. These patio doors can be locked and the key removed if you are worried about the children wondering into the pool area without supervision! You will have your own private bathroom although this is not en -suite. However I will only let out to one party at a time so you will never be sharing a bathroom with strangers! If you are a large party don’t worry we have 3 bathrooms plus 2 additional WC rooms so you will never be short of a shower or loo! PLEASE NOTE: THE POOL IS ONLY HEATED BETWEEN MAY AND SEPTEMBER, outside these months the pool is UNAVAILABLE. During the winter months we usually empty the pool for maintenance, however I will make sure that the spa pool is nice and hot for you if you request it! When the pool is heated the hot tub is available for an additional fee. Pets are NOT allowed I have a travel cot and high chair available for babies. Please note - I do have two cats so if you are allergic then I don't think this will be the best place for you. Although the cats are generally not allowed into the bedrooms.

  • My four girls and I spent five nights at Liesa’s house. We were made to feel very welcome. Her house is amazing! The girls loved feeding the animals and gathering eggs. Liesa goes above and beyond to make your stay special. An example of this was the time she spent teaching my youngest to knit. Chloe was absolutely delighted with the flower they made together. We have already booked our next stay!

  • This was a great couple of nights in an amazing home. The beds were really comfy, the hot tub was great, lots of firdge/storage space for food that we got delivered from Tesco to the house. There was 12 of us and we were a very loud bunch and Liesa was very understanding of this. Could not fault the trip at all and would deffinitely recommend, either for big groups or a nice couple's retreat to the countryside. On New Years day we all went on a walk and Liesa recommended a great route, which ended at the lovely Bell pub a short walk down the road from the house. The animals are cute and we felt really at home. The kitchen is great for big group meals to cook and plenty of space to dance! All in all a perfect stay.

  • The 5-star reviews on this place are no joke---indeed, they are most accurate. The place is beautiful with plenty of fun and relaxation to be had inside and outside. The house is gorgeous with a spacious and comfortable living room, large dining space, decent sized swimming pool, and a hot-tub. There are really nice and quaint local pubs and stunning countryside walks. If you didn't already feel like you would have sufficient activities, there are multiple geocaching spots and a wildlife park within a short distance. Eight of us spent the weekend here for a stag-do and had a fantastic time. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

    Large house with garden. Close proximity to Luton Airport without the noise. Short walk from Luton train station. Luton is close to London. 23-36 mins by train to London St Pancras/Kings Cross (that’s "Platform 9 3/4" to Hogwarts!).
    For any of you visiting central London it is only a 23-36 minute train journey. Luton Airport is only 2 miles away, but with no noise pollution here at all.
    We are situated between 3 parks! In one there's a lake and river and kids' playground. In another, woodland and hill and the third is a large grassy area and playground too. We are a 12-minute walk from the town centre with a vast array of shops, from M&S to Tiger to TK Maxx to H&M. There's a great Jazz & blues club, best in Britain people say: The Bear Club (you can look it up on Google), it opens Thurs-Fri-Sat, my friend Justin runs it and it is super cool, best music, friendly people, best beers, low-price cocktails. Thursdays are free. Fri-Sat is live bands and costs £8-15 depending on artists. We are also a good location for people visiting Harry Potter' studios in Hertfordshire.

Parking for 5 cars. Jun/Sep 3 nights min stay mid week or 2 night stay Fri/Sat.
    Frog Corner offers 5 bedrooms, 2 King beds, 3 double beds, 2 single beds. Pool is heated by 88 solar tubes (needs sunshine) and open June to September. Guests have private access to two gardens, front garden and, to the back a parterre with BBQ and two patios, and in the main gardens is the private enclosed pool area. The remainder of the grounds and drive are shared with the owners. Parking for a maximum of five cars is provided on the Common by the front door. Frog Corner has been designed with strong ECO credentials, A+++ rated appliances, LED lighting, solar hot water, solar pool heating and more. There are lots of original beams (one low beam in the kitchen & one bedroom). The owners live in the Lodge opposite, and are on hand for any services or help you may require, (we are generally gardening while you are with us). The twin room has now been converted to bunk room with a double bed and 2 singles. A single bed can be added to one of the master rooms. On some occasions it may also be possible to open up an extra downstairs bedroom with a single bed (a charge of £100 pp is made for more than 10 guests - up to max 14 ).
    Frog Corner is set in a very private setting off the main road. There are no neighbours, and there is a farm opposite. The Zoo should you wish to visit, is literally across the road (2 minute walk). There are many spectacular walks from the house which is situated on the highest point of the Chiltern Hills. There is a thatched pub and restaurant within walking distance as well as the village church, both of which are on either side of the common on the main road through the village. Frog Corner is classified as an area of outstanding beauty (AONB), and there are a number of beautiful walks and stunning views stretching across the three counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

  • Our stay (houseparty) for my daughter's 30th birthday weekend with family and friends was beyond expectations. The accommodation is very versatile and top draw (we loved the Aga in the kitchen). Our hosts Sandra and Michael were so helpful whilst remaining unobtrusive. We had dinner prepared and served for us on the Saturday night and the food was excellent. We are working out when we can return for another stay!

Sandra was fantastic at answering my questions and giving advice before our arrival and the fact our shopping was delivered and unpacked when we got there was a great touch. There are some house rules to be mindful of, and one which we weren’t made aware of until our second day (children were not allowed in the area of garden directly outside the kitchen, main dining room and sitting room). We were not made aware of this before booking or during our welcome tour and may not have selected the accommodation based on this as our party included children. That said we would happily recommend this beautiful house, with lovely hosts (and a fantastic swimming pool!)

We provide a home from home experience, offering guests all the essentials inc. towels, a fully equipped kitchen, large screen TV with Netflix, wireless internet, street parking & a lot more!!
    Take a seat in our dining room with round glass table and chairs, perfect for catching up with work or having some quiet time to have a meal with travel companions or family. Unwind on our L shaped corner sofa and entertain yourself with a flat screen TV with Netflix. If you have a group of more than 4, the sofa also converts into a handy double bed with bedding stored within. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, a kettle and toaster, cutlery, china and glassware and utensils. We also provide some of the essentials such as tea bags, coffee, sugar, pasta, rice and cooking oil. Any last minute laundry needs are also catered for with a quick speed washing machine and you can find a clothes horse, iron and ironing board in the cupboard under the stairs too. Take a soak in the downstairs bathroom suite which has the option of a bath or shower, we'll even supply the towels for you and your guests in your rooms. The 2 double bedrooms give you everything you need for a good night's rest with comfy double beds and bed linen provided, bedside cabinets and clothes rails with hangers. Or you can entertain yourself with a flat screen TV and NOW TV box. We know that remembering to bring everything doesn't always go to plan so we also provide; USB charging ports throughout the house, a universal travel adaptor, shoe polish and a hairdryer in each bedroom. To keep the kids entertained and get a good night's rest there are some children's games, baby play mat and travel cot under the stairs. We hope that there aren't any unfortunate accidents but for your safe of mind there is a first aid kit and fire blanket situated under the kitchen sink. There are also smoke and carbon monoxide alarms fitted in the property.
    You will be staying in the area known as South Luton, which is within a 5mins walking distance of Luton town centre. Properties in this area are mostly victorian terraces with on street parking. As the area is within close proximity to the town centre and its great transport links, the area is mostly made up of commuters and students.

    Location: St Albans is only 25 mins via a direct train to St Pancras International at the heart of Central London with trains to various destinations in Europe via Eurostar. Attractions: Its vast centuries-old cathedral features medieval paintings. Nearby, Verulamium Park has ornamental lakes & the remains of the city's ancient Roman wall. The Verulamium Museum, display artefacts from the city’s Roman past, including mosaics and the Sandridge Hoard of gold coins. A 2nd-century Roman theatre
    The apartment features two double bedroom, with two double beds, to sleep four adults/children. It has an open plan living room with smart TV & entertainment (Netflix) and dining area, with a well equipped kitchen. The newly fitted bathroom has a shower, WC and wash hand basin
    Redbourn common which is only 5 mins walk from your accommodation has a cricket ground, if you fancy watching live cricket matches by the locals. Sitting right next to the cricket ground is a Pub called the Cricketers including a local museum with lovely green space for running and walking.

I live in the village and my parents usually use the nearest hotel when they visit but I thought I’d give this place a try for them... very pleased I did! The place is immaculately clean. Comfy bed.     My Airbnb is about 30 miles outside of London. It is near the village of Redbourn, Harpenden, St.Albans and Hemel Hempstead. It is in the countryside and about a 15 minute walk to the bus stop. There are buses to St.Albans, Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead stations and each takes about a 30 minutes journey. This Airbnb is ideal for people who have their own transport. There is parking on my drive IF you have a car. If you come in a van then you have to park on the road with consideration.
    My Airbnb is my home. I appreciate guests using it like their home, that means sharing the washing up, recycling rubbish and buying toilet roll. I will provide clean bedding and will wash the bedding but I appreciate help with light chores such as hoovering if guests are staying longer than a week. Living in the countryside means we get spiders which are good to have, and it can be dusty. This is not a hotel. It is not a sterile environment, it is a living working home. My belongings are all around and you are welcome to use everything in my kitchen. I can provide you with towels and you are welcome to bring your own things that make you feel comfortable too. I am told it is a very homely Airbnb and guests say they love the very Friendly English village feel. There is only a small Co-op and a village store in walking distance but there are supermarkets outside the village.
    This is a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood.

    Hi there, My home is on a quiet road with a large green space out the front and plenty of free parking. Maylands industrial estate is 20 minute walk, there are great transport links to M1/M25, fast train in to London, bus stop 5 minutes walk etc. Jarmin Park is a 15 minute walk away where there is a Gym, iMax cinema, Ice Rink and around 6 restaurants. Hemel Hempstead Ski Slope is also a short 10 minute drive away. Tea/Coffee/toast is available. I'm easy going and look forward to seeing you.
    Nice comfortable roomy space downstairs including large green space out the front of the house and the back garden gets unbroken sunshine all day for you sun-seekers.
    The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly.

    The apartment is 4 miles from Luton airport. Harpenden station is a 10 minute walk for trains into London kings Cross (30 mins). The town is also a 10 minute walk from the apartment where there is a selection of pubs and restaurants. There are food shops within a 3 minute walk from the apartment.

Nearby are West Herts College in the town of Hemel Hempstead and Maylands Industrial Estate just 4 miles away. 7 miles away is Ashridge Country Estate and Stately Home, in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. London Euston is a half hour commutable distance on London Northwestern Railway. Watford, St. Albans and Harry Potter Studios at Leavesden are within commutable reach.

    The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood in Hemel Hempstead with easy reach of the M1, M25 and Maylands Industrial Estate if you’re in the area for work. - Hemel Hempstead Station direct trains into London (10 mins drive with regular buses at front of the house) - Hemel town centre (6 mins drive) - a Supermarket (Tesco Express)/Takeaway/Pub is 5 mins walk. Bus from the shops has direct coaches into London - a bus stop outside house with links to town, Hemel station. (30 second walk)
    Next to your room is the main bathroom which is shared with my partner and I, but is clean and we will provide a basket of toiletries/towels/hairdryer. Bedroom - bedroom currently has a single bed that converts into a double bed when needed, let us know if this is required. Kitchen- hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster. You’re welcome to keep some food in the fridge and use the microwave/oven/kettle etc. We also have a breakfast bar which can be used for working on your laptop etc. Bathroom - shower, bath. Conservatory - dining table, seating. Back & Front Garden - smoking is allowed. Parking - parking in the road is first come first serve but have never had problems getting a space. If not, always spaces around the corner a 20 second walk away. We do have a dog (dachshund), if not comfortable with dogs please message and he can happily stay at my parents around the corner. If you are comfortable with dogs he will like to greet you (is very friendly/never bitten) and will keep himself to himself, doesn’t come upstairs unless it’s time to sleep.

The House is located near to Junction 10 of the M1 for easy access to the the Motorway, and a bus stop is nearby for bus services to Harpenden,St Albans,Watford,and London.The house is walking distance from the Town centre. Luton Airport is £6/7 mini cab fare and both train stations are approx £4/5 cab the house is 5 min drive from the airport.

There is space to park off-road and the location is very convenient for Capability Green or Luton Airport. The bus to London also stops right outside.     A studio with independent access, in our family home. Accommodates up to 2 people, with one single bed and one Z-bed with a good quality mattress and optional mattress topper. There is a kitchen area with a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster and an en-suite shower room, with a sink providing drinking water and space to wash crockery. A continental breakfast and beverages are provided along with tea towels and detergent.
    This is a contemporary living space for up to two people, providing everything needed for bed and a continental breakfast. There is ample living space for eating, watching TV, using a laptop or just relaxing.
    Jersey Farm is a quiet residential area situated on the edge of St. Albans, minutes away from countryside. Close by is Jersey Farm Woodland Park and Heartswood Forest, where a variety of wild flowers and wildlife can be found. It is a 10 minute drive into St. Albans town centre, which boasts a huge variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and spas. St. Albans is steeped in history, with a Cathedral, the remains of a Roman theatre and museums showing Roman artifacts. It is also close to Harry Potter Studios and historic Hatfield House.

  • Lovely place, right next to St.Albans Abbey Road railway station. Very clean and organised. Big Sainsbury’s store a stone’s throw from the apartment. It is a gated and secure residential development. Only a few check-in glitches as hosts don’t live here but they were super prompt in resolving all issues. The flat is exactly as it looks in the pictures, very comfortable, modern and super clean. Uber easily bootable to St Albans City rail station (costs approx £6-10 per trip); that’s where you get super frequent Thameslink trains directly to london St Pancras international (fastest train takes 21 mins; slowest is 35-41; one-way ticket is £12.90 for travel any time of day in any train so flexible). Would definitely recommend this home and hosts if you want to be close to London but not in the hustle and bustle or if you want a bit of peace and quiet now and again during your London stay! Close by is the great city of St Albans which offers a splendour of shops, restaurants and places of interest (with a popular bustling atmosphere any day of the week) PUBS AND RESTAURANTS LOCALLY: colney Fox is our traditional gastro pub with a good menu and expected prices (menu on line). Also in the village are four other friendly pubs which serve food and drink. There are plenty of take always all in walking distance (Indian, Chinese, kebab, fish and chips, southern chicken and pizza) also a cute little coffee shop which turns into a pizzeria at night. There are lush green parks and countryside, a buzzing metropolis, excellent attractions and ancient history. We have a fabulous shopping with many boutique independent shops among the high street and a fanatic range of eating and drinking establishments. There are special events throughout the year also. It is very easy to get here too, as St Albans is just 20 minuted from London St Pancras, a short hop off M1 and M25 motorways, within easy reach of all London and Luton airports.

  • I was worried because there were not many reviews, but the house itself was good. It's just a new building and it feels very well formed. It was clean and well heated, and the elevator and ... overall good. St Albans Abbey station is right in front of you, but St Albans City station is not enough to walk, so you have to take a bus. hehe.. Sainsbury's huge big mart is right in front of it, so it's easy to go shopping, and it's a quiet and clean residential complex that's great for people staying in the UK for a long time. He was looking for a musculus shooter, but he didn't have a shooter shooter. I've been trying to open the door. I'm doing well ㅎㅎ

  • Amazing little space in a safe, but easily accessible location with great parking. The apartment building is a 5 minute walk from a big Sainsbury’s supermarket and 2 minute walk to a petrol station and St. Albans Abbey train station. St. Albans city centre is only a 10 minute walk up the road which is also very handy- perfect spot of you're wanting to see the area/cathedral or travel anywhere in and around London! The hosts were great and provided easily navigated instructions for check in, key collection etc., and were on hand if any additional info was needed. The apartment its-self was lovely and modern - just like the pictures displayed on the site. It was sparkling clean when we arrived and provided just the perfect amount of space for two people. The kitchen, equipped with induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle and dishwasher was of a very high standard (in keeping with the rest of the apartment), it was also nice that a washing machine, iron and ironing board were available if needed. The only thing missing was a few finishing touches such as toilet roll, surface spray and dish sponges, dishwasher tablets and a few other bits and bobs which would have been useful and seemed a waste to have to buy full bottles of new products for just a few nights stay! A TV would make a good additional touch too. Although, these are not essentials and did not negatively impact on our stay in any way - merely just something to bare in mind! Hosts were easy to contact and very helpful so can’t be faulted, nor can the space as a whole. Definitely good value for money and will be back again soon for sure! Thank You Sam & Marta!

  • I stayed at this apartment for a month - and it was perfect for this. The location is great - there is a Sainsbury's across the street for groceries and the Matalan across from that has Amazon post boxes for pick-up. It is a short walk up the hill into town (10 to 15 minutes), which has everything ... I enjoyed the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays which is good for various street-food and bakery items ... The apartment building is modern and clean - and so is the apartment itself. It is probably the best layout and design of a studio apartment I have ever seen. I lacked nothing and would definitely stay here in the future.
