“Knipan is a summer restaurant, which is built on the water and has very old traditions. It is a restaurant you have to visit when you are in town. Lunch and á la carte are served in the restaurant.”

Gastropub

“Pub Niska (open in the summer) is located in Stallörsparken in a wooden storehouse where Café Magasin used to operate. Despite the name, Pub Niska is a restaurant, and the restaurant concept has been created by the Ålandian cook Michael Björklund. Their menu offers high quality archipelago pizzas following the Ålandian style and salads. ”

“Café Gamla Stan – the summer café in the idyllic wooden old town of Ekenäs. The Café is a family business and with homemade cakes and pies. In the garden, you can sit under 60 year old apple trees. Your are also welcome to be seated inside the café cottage, by the warm and cosy fireplace. From June onwards – every Tuesday – troubadours perform in the garden.”

“För ett glas i kvällssolen rekommenderar jag Baywatch nere vid hamnen, är den uteplats där solen lyser längst. Pizzan är också OK.”

Museum
“The Ekenäs Nature Centre provides fascinating information on the changing nature of the Baltic Sea and Western Uusimaa archipelago. The exhibition aimed for children provides visitors with the opportunity to listen to underwater sounds, admire a fisherman's hut, search for invasive species in a dry aquarium and learn about life in wetlands. A good place fore the children a rainy day, open in summer months. Free.”
