Raquette Lake Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Raquette Lake

Studio apartment with kitchenette above the garage of our lake front cabin on Raquette Lake. There is a private entrance to the apartment with a small deck. Guests have access to a dock, lean-to and fire pit.
The apartment is a studio room with two twin beds, a sofa, kitchenette and table. There is a small deck outside the entrance to the apartment, but guests are welcome to use the dock and large Adirondack lean-to. There is a private area for parking one vehicle near the entrance to the apartment.
Raquette Lake is at the eastern end of the Fulton Chain Lakes in the western Adirondacks. Raquette Lake Navigation offers sightseeing tours of the lake as well as lunch, brunch and dinner cruises. Burke's Marina rents motor boats, pontoons, kayaks and canoes. There are numerous nearby trails for hiking and biking; Historic Great Camp Sagamore is located a few miles away and the Adirondack Museum is nearby in Blue Mountain Lake.
  • This is a perfect spot! Easy access from Rt 28 and beautiful lake side home. The accommodations were fabulous and we enjoyed the chairs on the dock relaxing in the evening and watching the stars.

  • This is a special place...such a beautiful yard right on the lake. We only stayed one day, but hope to return next year for longer. The place is very clean and comfortable, we were quite pleased with everything!

  • Staying at the Bunk House was our best Airbnb experience. The setting is a little bit of Adirondack paradise. The view on her Airbnb site is the view we enjoyed everyday - from land and water. The bunk house was just right in size, location, amenities. Nanette knows the area well and directed us to hiking and canoeing possibilities. She was on site to greet us, orient us to the property, and help us carry luggage. She was away from the site 4 of our 6 days, but we had no concerns in her absence or that we would not be able to contact her. (Best phone reception is from the dock.) In that respect, our stay was even more private than expected. This is the first summer (starting in July, 2016) that Nanette opened the bunk house to Airbnb. She was open to and eager for our suggestions, which were minor (see comments).

  • Nanette was such a warm host. She was gracious and welcoming. Gorgeous location with a beautiful dock. Loved being able to use the kayak and canoe. The bunk house was very large and very clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying with her again in the future.

  • Excellent place to stay! Lean to, fire pit, and dock on the lake made for a fabulous night. Apartment was clean and cozy.

    Laura2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Simple, clean and lovely! Everything we needed for a quick getaway!

    Julie2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! Nanette made me feel welcomed from the start. Access to the dock was very nice. Easy to find. Highly recommend

    Hannah2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot on Raquette Lake - the bunk house was roomy and had everything one would need for camping - kitchenette with all necessities, bathroom, living area space and two beds. The land was great - the dock was so peaceful and the lean-to with the fire pit was a great touch as well. The area was very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Old Forge and more touristy areas. Tony Harpers pizza and clam shack was right down the road for amazing food. Our hosts were away for the weekend but very responsive if we needed anything.

Raquette Lake is like no other place in the Adirondacks, and this cabin is like no other retreat! 8 of your friends/family can enjoy a dream winter vacation or a peaceful, relaxing summer getaway! Renters provide their own linens (sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand/kitchen towels).
"Dave's Dream" Adirondack Retreat is a spacious and inviting cabin in the heart of the Adirondack mountains, in the one-of-a-kind town of Raquette Lake, NY. Raquette is the largest natural lake in the Adirondacks with 99 miles of shoreline - most of which is owned by the state and is therefore maintained as beautiful, uninhabited wilderness! Eight guests fit comfortably with 6 beds (4 full size beds, 1 twin, and 1 pull-out sofabed). Each room has its own special Adirondack-style charm - from the "Bear Bedroom" to the "Moose Bathroom!" Two of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor and 2 are on the 2nd floor - on each floor, you must walk through one bedroom to get to the next (there is a door between the 2 upstairs bedrooms, and a movable screen to place between the 2 downstairs bedrooms for privacy). This is a "housekeeping cabin" aka "bungalow rental," which means that guests are responsible for bringing their own linens (towels, sheets, & pillowcases).
In the winter, Raquette Lake boasts some of the greatest snowfall in the region. Just 500 feet away from the lake, you and your snowmobiles will have easy access to the lake and countless of miles of breathtaking trails (weather permitting, of course!) Try out some snow-shoeing and cross-country or downhill skiing, or just get cozy by the fire. In the summer, just walk 3 minutes to the marina, where you can rent boats, kayaks, etc. Take a cruise on Raquette Lake on a local tour boat, complete with food and music. Or just hang out at the house, barbecue, and make s'mores around the fire. In the fall, come for the unbeatable leaf-peeping. And all year long, just relax and unwind!
  • Our family travelled from Houston to attend a wedding in Inlet / Old Forge. We had a great experience at this cabin. It was close enough to family and friends who were staying in the area. At the same time, we really enjoyed the privacy of the cabin. Denise was with us every step of the way checking on us before during and after our stay. There were only four of us. The cabin could have easily accomodated several more folks. We really enjoyed the outdoor porches, one screened and one open air to sit around, have a beer and relax. Although I had not been to this area in a very long time, it was good to see that it hadn't changed a whole lot. We wil probably go back to the area to visit again in the next couple of years. The mild temperatures and slower pace were a welcome relief from the heat and humidity in Houston.

  • Great location, great house! I highly recommend this house. Denise was very helpful throughout.

  • The cabin is a wonderfully set up and very comfortable! It had everything we needed or wanted! The outdoor screened in porch was a favorite among us! Very relaxing! Thank you so much Denise! We look forward to coming back!!

  • We had an amazing time! Your camp was so cozy and beautiful I'm sure we will be back! Just a short drive to the village and Inlet. I think we enjoyed the back porch the most! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

  • Had an absolutely wonderful time in the cabin over 4th July. The location is great, really near the water where you can rent boats. Our son managed to catch (and release) some fish. The cabin itself has everything you need, and a lot of character. Would strongly recommend staying!

    Vegard2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home right near the snow mobile trails! We slept 8 people comfortably. One family room has a couch set up facing large windows looking to the backyard and the other family room had a wood stove for us to sit around. It was really a fantastic winter getaway for the whole family and we look forward to renting again.

    Samantha2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Denise was super friendly, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish. It made my first experience with Airbnb a breeze! The cabin was the perfect space to hold a girls weekend. It was clean and cozy upon arrival and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Being someone who has camped in the Raquette Lake area since childhood, there's no place the girls and I would rather have been to celebrate the bride-to-be. I can only imagine how cozy it must be throughout the fall and winter! I would highly recommend!

  • We had an incredible stay at the Cozy Nook! This spot is incredible! Kevin has done some great upgrades, like a fully renovated bathroom, new windows, new flooring, but has kept the rustic cabin charm. The small kitchen was complimented by the outdoor BBQ, and the cupboards were fully stocked with kitchen essentials. The amenities at the camp were super fun (bocce, fire pit, beach, dock, sooo many chairs), and the lake was great! We would love to come back. 4th Lake is the best lake!

    Michelle2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean cabin with good access to 4th lake. Host also very accommodating!

    Sean2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfectly located for everything you want to do in the Adirondaks, and much cheaper than the area hotels. The cottage was very clean and the perfect space for my boyfriend and I. The host was very easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly. We can't wait to come back!

    Natalie2016-09-25T00:00:00Z

  • Awesome place to stay at! 5 of my friends and I stayed there for 4 days and it provided just the right amount of space for us. Great location and campgrounds are nice. Kevin was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend and would do again!

  • We had a fantastic time at the Cozy Nook. The cabin was clean and comfortable; great location on the lake, close to hiking trails and plenty to do right on site. Kevin was very helpful and quick to respond to questions.

    Carol2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We will definitely be back! The whole family enjoyed the home and the outdoor amenities. Besides not wanting to leave, the hardest part was trying to bring the kids inside at night from playing with friends that they made here! Thanks again Kevin!

The larger of two cabins, totally renovated Adirondack style open floor plan. Two bedrooms with queensize beds, a full bath, fully equipped kitchen, clawfoot tub, hardwood floor throughout, cathedral ceilings, knotty pine and a sofa bed.
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Rock and Des's place in Raquette Lake! The cabin had a queen bed in one bedroom, twin in another and the couch in the living room (which has an AMAZING view) folds out into a bed. They gave us coffee and firewood when we arrived and you have access to 3 canoes, 2 stand up paddleboards and a kayak! The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking supplies you might need, the oven works well, and there are even board games for a game night. In addition, they could not be more helpful in the lead up to the trip and while we were there. Rock is very knowledgeable about the lake and surrounding area, so he has many ideas for hikes and trips you can take straight from their dock. We plan on coming back because we had such a wonderful time.

    Kate2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Rock and Des met me the second I got there and were great! The power was out (only for an hour) as it was the middle of winter and there was a huge storm. They helped with generators, space heaters, flashlights and more. The place is exactly as stated and is beautiful, right on the water. I use Air BNB a lot for work and recreation, and they were some of the best hosts I've ever had. About a 12-15 minute drive to Inlet for those wondering. This place is the perfect Adirondack getaway!

    Adam2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I did not personlly stay at the Moose Lodge it was bought as a gift however I heard nothing but amazing things about the cabin. From the cleanliness, to their willingness to accommodate to a "happy anniversary" note on the counter my parents were nothing less than impressed. They said not only do they want to go back and stay at the cabin again but they will be staying for even longer next time. Thanks again!!

    Tiffany2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing cabin! The lake was a perfect setting and the privacy was nice. Loved the amenities of the whole place. Very clean and Rock was very responsive in emails leading up to our trip. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

    Sarah2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at the moose cabin exceeded our expectations. The scenery is even more beautiful than the pictures and the cabin was the perfect amount of comfy cozy. Roc was extremely helpful in locating the cabin and then made sure we felt at HOME. this will definitely be on the list of places to revisit!

    Ann2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rock and Des were out of town when we arrived (we knew that well in advance) but we were given contact info of other people who could help us out if needed. We arrived to find a beautiful, well cleaned newly renovated cabin on the water with everything in place as promised. There were plenty of kayaks and canoes to use, as well as pfd's if we needed them. The location is great, right on the water with spectacular views. The Moose has sleeping arrangements for 9 if you really wanted to pack in a group or big family. Beds were all comfortable and the shower was great! We felt that the location was central to a lot of hiking, kayaking, and shopping which were our main priorities. The weather was a little cool during our stay but the cabin is equipped with 2 electric heaters with thermostats. There were a total of 5 of us staying there and we were all very comfortable. I'm not sure what our plan is for next fall, but if ADKs is our destination, we will definitely stay here!

    Elizabeth2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rock talked with us before and after we arrived. He's a very kind and thoughtful person. I would have to say that the Moose cabin was even better than we expected. Lovely furnishings, extremely clean and an unbelievable view. You really can't beat the Raquette Lake location as a jumping off place to explore the Adirondacks. We were so happy that we found this listing and were able to stay in this heavenly place. Awesome stay! Thank you Rock and Desi!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at The Study. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The cottage was beautiful and completely stocked with everything you could need. The property was a perfect location to be close enough to get to Old Forge and other attractions but far away enough for some peaceful relaxation. The kids enjoyed fishing and swimming at Palmer Point and made some friends with the other kids. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for the memories!

My place is close to nature and the lake. You’ll love my place because of the light, the proximity of the lake, the scenery. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
Relax, Rejoice, Rejuvenate and make BIRCH COTTAGE, a Craftsman-style house situated on a bluff overlooking Raquette Lake, your headquarters for a total break from your usual hectic pace.. Breathe a deep sigh of contentment and peace as you curl up in front of the fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee watching mist rise, fish jump and mallards dive. Listen for the loons' cry and the pop of the fish diving back beneath the water's surface. It's another world and it can be your world for a moment in time. Sleeps up to 8 with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room (with fireplace), huge front porch. The kitchen has cooking and dining utentils for eight. Plenty of parking. Satellite TV. Gas grill. Picnic table and fire pit. Dock. Canoes. Road access. WiFi. Does vacation time get any better than in Raquette Lake?
When you choose to visit Raquette Lake or vacation in the Adirondacks, you're choosing a 6 million acres state park made up of privately and publicly owned land. In fact, the Adirondack State Park is the largest wilderness area in the lower 48 states. Raquette Lake, with 99 miles of shoreline, 80% of which is owned by the State of NY, is amazingly undeveloped. The State land is constitutionally protected from any kind of development, "forever wild," so you'll see mostly shoreline, woods and wildlife. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound in spades: canoeing, kyaking, hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, skiing/boarding and boating. There are other forms of entertainment as well. Be sure to make reservations for a scrumptious meal (lunch, dinner or Sun brunch) on the WW Durant, while also listening to the captain's fascinating historic commentary. Take the guided tour of the Alfred Vanderbilt estate, Great Camp Sagamore, followed by a self-guided tour of the Adirondack Museum, to get a more complete picture of the way residents and visitors lived, worked and played during the Gilded Age in American history. Two Arts Centers bookend Raquette: View in Old Forge and the Adirondack Lakes Center For the Arts in Blue Mt Lake. Take a day trip to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, the Winter Olympic venues in Lake Placid, the Dude Ranch scene in Lake George.

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Eagle's Nest. It felt like the real Adirondack experience, rustic to the max in a beautiful setting. We built a fire and sat on the dock to look at the stars. The only downside was that there were no towels or sheets and no dish soap or sponge for washing dishes. There was nothing in the notes to prepare us for this so that was inconvenient. However, it was a lovely little nook and we were grateful for the experience! We didn't have the chance to try it, but it looked like there was a yoga studio less than a mile from Palmer Point toward Old Forge. We did eat at the first restaurant you come to on the left heading toward Old Forge from Palmer Point (Smokehouse or something like that) and it was delicious and clean, wonderful cocktail and good atmosphere. My husband hiked into Bubb lake to fish and canoe and loved it. We went into town and enjoyed the Hardware store where we bought lovely prints of the Adirondacks. You can also buy linens in town. There were loons on the lake and ducks. If ever in the area, we'd be back!

  • Had a great time, felt super welcome, very laid back, had everything we needed. Would have liked if the kayaks were included in the rental but they were extra- however, the hosts were very flexible on the time for the kayak rental. We would recommend this renal to others for sure!

  • Cindy was very welcoming. I came with a group of 4 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some of the strongest points for us was the fire pit. We attempted to use a fishing boat, but scarcely used it for 30 minutes before calling it quits. Thankfully, Cindy was accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend Eagles Nest for a weekend getaway!

    Joseph2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I had an excellent stay at Cindy's fun rustic cabin! Kitchen and accessories were were greatly appreciated... View was like a post card! And fire pit, canoes & Pontoon boats were an awesome unexpected bonus!! I brought my 16yo son and my oldest son 22yo visited us from Paul Smith's college and we had a blast!!! Will definitely be returning!!

    Rick2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a good time staying at eagles nest. People who work there very nice. Cindy was very welcoming and trying to be as helpful as possible. The place is as described. We were very pleased about having a heat since the nights were still kinda chilly. Kitchen is supplied with plenty of things to get by. If anything few more pots would be helpful instead of one of each. But it's not a biggie by having nice grill. The beach is steps away

    Elvira2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was extremely enjoyable to work with and we all loved our stay at the Eagle's Nest. As previous reviewers have said, it is definitely "rustic" but it is much better than sleeping in a tent and using an outhouse! It was perfectly fine for sleeping in while we were outside all day. The other cabins are very close together, but everyone is very quiet at night. We did not cook in the kitchen, however it seemed to be functional. We used the kayaks on Saturday and rented a pontoon boat on Sunday. It was great to be able to explore the lake by boat and was quite affordable. Both were in perfect working shape and Cindy was a great help with the rentals.

  • The information provided on the site is insufficient. Contact with host impossible. Did not see on the site at booking that guests are required to bring bedding and towels. No instructions in the unit regarding WiFi, Direct TV and other helpful information' Great location and layout in the village with a super Beer & Pizza spot a block away. Overall not really worth the $300 per night cost.

  • We loved our stay. The place was a great size for two couples and two kids.... we even hosted other couples and kids for dinner one night and the space accommodated everyone. Accommodation in the Adirondacks isn't always amazing, but this place was great! Just pack your own hangers....and bring more pots and pans. We would stay again!

Hope we will have the opportunity to stay with you again next summer.

The Palmer House at Palmer Point is close to The Donut Shop, Inlet, Eagle Bay, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, great views. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the screened in porch on the lakefront, the campfire, the beach area. My place is good for families (with kids), family reunions and big groups.
The living room is spacious yet cozy. There is a big screened in porch right on the water. It is my favorite spot for morning coffee. There are two bedrooms with queen sized beds on the main floor (plus one full bath) and upstairs are the three remaining rooms (one double bed; one with two twin beds and one with a futon). plus the 2nd full bath.
We are located between Old Forge (7 miles away) and Inlet, NY (3 miles away)
  • Very spacious yet cozy home with a fantastic quiet location. Cleanliness of kitchen and bed conditions could be improved.

  • Cindy's house was beautiful and well kept. The kitchen and dining areas were spacious and easily accommodated our needs. Our favorite spot was the huge screened in porch! We spent most of our days out there listening to the water and enjoying the view of the lake. It was also wonderful at night to listen to the lake and the owls! Such a beautiful home.

  • The cabin is clean with ample space thoughtfully laid out. It's absolutely quiet. All we heard at night were occasional loons and coyotes. Boat traffic is reasonable. We liked the first-class dock, and the lake water is beautiful. It's a very private site; we couldn't see our neighbors from the cabin or the dock. The cabin is at a higher elevation than the lake, which provides a very nice view of the east bay.

    Fred2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lake and lakefront are way better than photos suggest. Very private.

    Simon2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) had a wonderful stay at Richard's cozy cabin on Big Moose Lake. He was a terrific host, sharing all of the fun things we could do while vacationing there. We loved canoeing, hiking the many nearby trails, swimming in the lake, and just relaxing! The cozy cabin had all we needed, including a turntable with an outstanding Smithsonian jazz collection that we never tired of hearing. Loved the spectacular sunsets and slow, relaxed pace. Thank you, Rich, for sharing your cabin with us!

  • The house was beautiful! It was in a very private setting and perfect for our weekend get away. The host was great and very easy to communicate with. We literally could have only packed our clothes and food and would have been set! Our dog was allowed to come with us which was a HUGE perk that helped our decision to select this spot. Highly recommend to anyone and we really hope to come back to this spot.

  • Great spot that contributed immensely to our experience for first timers in the Adirondacks. The reviews were accurate and reliable. Cole's cottage is comfortable with all the necessary amenities and more. Great host who pays attention to detail. Highly recommended!

  • Great place to get away and relax. You truly just need to bring your clothes and food as they provide you with everything else. Check in/Check out was easy and the host was always available to contact if needed. I would defiantly recommend this place to others.

  • We are so pleased that we found this gem of an Adirondack retreat! From the beautifully decorated spacious interior to the large private yard with deck and firepit, we felt at home and comfortable all weekend. We appreciated Cole's attention to detail, efforts to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible, and his responsiveness to my questions. My entire family had a wonderful time, and we hope to return again!

    Adaiah2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • A true Adirondack beauty. Rich in history. Gracious hosts.

    Barbara2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this camp! Cole was very responsive and everything was as described. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the camp was, both inside and out. This A-frame has vaulted ceilings in the great-room/kitchen with lots of windows to the outside. Location is very convenient to Inlet, but still quiet and private. We would highly recommend a stay at Cole's Camp!

    David2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cole was extremely prompt with answering questions and providing feedback. The cottage was vey spacious and had lots of outdoor space to enjoy. It was private and well appointed with necessities. There was even a food processor. Thanks for a great stay.

    David2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful stay! Cole is a gracious host, and the house is a great place to get away from the stress of life and work. For us having no cell service was awesome, and it allowed our family to connect without anyone being on a device. It is a quick drive into Inlet and we found the location to be an easy drive to anywhere we wanted to be. One note: our expectations were exactly what we found based on the photos. And we loved it. But this is a rustic lodge, not the ritz carlton. If you are expecting a five star level resort, you should look elsewhere and expect to pay a lot more. That said, this property was clean and nicely decorated and was a joy to rent. We loved our stay in the Adirondacks and at this property, and absolutely would stay here again.
