  • This is a beautiful spot, the cabin was great we really enjoyed our stay. Wish we had more time.

  • The cabin is lovely. Very well furnished, cosy and well stocked (especially the kitchen equipment) with everything you would need. The location is remote - perfect for relaxing on the terrace to watch the sunsets over the white mountains. However, it is also close to Bethel and within easy access of the white mountains. Pamela was a great host. Friendly and all her directions etc were perfect. The only negatives about this place would be the lack of internet (which is clearly stated in the description but does mean you need to plan your activities in advance or the old fashioned way with guide books etc!). Also, you need to take your trash with you which, as it was the last stop before flying home and we had no internet or phone connection to find out where to take it, caused us a some trouble. I think these problems can be easily solved and I would definitely recommend this cabin as a great place to stay while experiencing the white mountains in the summer and fall but I would also consider it for the winter season as it is so convenient for ski resorts and would be a great place to come back to after a day on the slopes.

  • The cabin was not hard to find up on the dirt road. The house was extremely warm inside, so we opened up a few windows for a cross breeze. Within an hour, it cooled off. There were plenty of options for sleeping, so we decided on the bedroom on the main level. The fans were much appreciated. We had some time familiarizing with light switches, ceiling fans and such and made ourselves at home. The cabin was roomy and nicely secluded, while we enjoyed strolling through the yard. The cabin became our home for a few days as we explored the region. We hiked the Rattle River section of the AT, drove Mt Washington, ate at the Rooster's Roadhouse in Bethel, and searched the back roads for moose daily, although we never did see one except for a fresh road kill up on 26 north of Bethel! We shopped North Conway and enjoyed the park forests.

  • My wife and I had a great experience. Pamela's cabin is perfect. We can't wait stay there again.

  • Our stay at Pam's cabin was exactly what we were looking for, a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature with complete privacy. The cabin was clean, welcoming, and ready for us to use. Pam was very easy to communicate with from booking to arriving, and although I didn't need to reach her during our stay I knew she was only a quick call or email away. We would definitely stay at this location again!!

    Mark2013-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay, including the four inches of powder that made the skiing conditions excellent! The wood-burning stove helped us warm up after a full day on the slopes. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful cabin!

    Harvey2014-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at your cabin! The home was very cozy and had all the amenities. Great views of the mountain and beautiful foliage to see. Close to hiking and town. We would definitely visit again.

    kristen2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Pam was very responsive and the pictures and descriptions were very accurate. I loved the cabin, very open, lots of room, well taken care of, really nice view off of the deck, and close to the Mahoosic range and lots of great hiking. Great experience overall, I plan on coming back.

  • Larry and Yvonne made us feel so welcome in their beautiful loft. The scenery was absolutely amazing and the loft was even nicer than the pictures. Larry and Yvonne went out of their way to provide us with helpful tips when we arrived, and gave us some great tips about local places to eat and good walking trails.

    Isabel 2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Larry and Yvonne were exceptionally welcoming. Their friendly, peaceful style mad us feel at home and easy to reach out for any questions we had. The apartment was lovely, tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed. The view out the living room window was breathtaking. The property was as nice as the advertisement suggested. This is an exceptional value and we are planning to return.

    Jim 2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Larry and Yvonne are amazing hosts and their loft is spectacular. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. In addition, we found freshly baked cookies with a sweet welcome note when we made our way into the loft. The views from the loft (and the whole property) are breathtaking. We loved our time in the mountains and hope to be back some day.

    Tracy2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, a newly-renovated large studio apartment above Larry's shop. Functional kitchen, nice seating, well-done in general. The property includes their house (joined by a deck), a cottage, and a little farm. They were very welcoming, and invited us to use their grill and even pick some zucchini! It is fairly far off the beaten path, which is likely a good thing. Good access to hiking to the northern Presidentials (Adams, Madison, Jefferson), and with a town not too far away. The only downside was that we were asked to pay a cleaning fee ($50) and NH tax (10%) of our rental upon arrival, which was not included in the airbnb fee or quote. I believe they are working on incorporating that, but it was an unwelcome surprise nonetheless.

    Avi2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at the loft! Such beautiful views of the White mountains, the pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen had everything you needed to whip up some meals, plus we were given these delicious pumpkin cookies when we arrived. Perfect location for a quick getaway, and thank you Larry for being a great host!

    Julie2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Larry and Yvonne's was exceptional! I was a little worried that 'loft' meant open to the workshop below but was pleasantly surprised by a private upstairs apartment that was adequately stocked and comfortably decorated. The highlight is the garden (I was hooked when I saw the chairs facing the mountain) and the view. The hosts are wonderfully hospitable, full of helpful information but not Intrusive. If we happen back through NH again, this is a must stay. And the dog, Opal, was a bonus.

    Dave2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Larry and Yvonne were the most gracious and hospitable hosts. They were there when you needed them and also gave you the space to enjoy your time away. We enjoyed our time getting to know them as much as we did the beautiful property itself. The chance to pet their donkeys was a unique experience. Opal the dog was fun as well. They truly care about their town and surrounding areas. Larry has a vast knowledge of the trails in the area and was willing to share that with us. We look forward to seeing them again.

    Jay2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a weekend in the White Mountains and our stay in Larry's and Yvonne's apartment was just fantastic: The cosy apartment, the fantastic view out of the window to the Presidentials and the foliage at it's peak !!! Larry was very communicative and helpful before and during our visit with very detailed suggestions to find our way and to get started. In particuliar, he knows every hiking trail in the area and gave us very valueble hints. The apartment was perfectly equipped and we felt immediately like home. Larry and Yvonne are perfect hosts and this was one of our best Airbnb experiences. I highly recommed this really spectacular loft.

  • I stayed here for a weekend with my girlfriend. It was even better than the pictures. Everything was so easy and direct, you could tell it was overly prepared for guests. It seemed newly renovated as well. No cable but the smart tv worked out great with Netflix, Hulu, etc. Fireplace worked, cooking was easy, heat was comfortable. Would 100% recommend. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.

  • This place is beautiful, spacious, had all we might need for our comfort. Bed was wonderfully comfortable. Very quiet area: we slept so well. Spotless when we arrived. The location is excellent for access to hiking trails. I would only hope to return when we have more time to stay.

  • Wonderful place to stay, great location, the loft was beautiful and had everything we needed! My favorite Airbnb so far!!

    Johnson2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were in love with this beautiful and immaculate loft, and only wish we could have stayed longer! Jeff was very accommodating of our late arrival, and communication was a breeze. We hope to be back.

  • We were looking for a quiet getaway from city life, and Jeff's loft provided that and so much more. Centrally located to many hiking trails and scenic views, as well as a cozy place to stay in and relax. This was our first Airbnb experience, and Jeff set the bar very high for us.

    Jess2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything went great! It was smooth sailing from booking to arrival to departure. The place is really nice and a very spacious one bedroom apt.! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay!

    Clark2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff's loft is awesome! It's very cozy and pretty. The mattress is very comfortable which is above and beyond our expectation. The land is in the mountain, very quiet. Highly recommended!

  • Jeffs loft had fantastic reviews and which set very high expectations. I am very happy to say that it met/exceeded all of them. Little things such as providing us with weather forecast for our upcoming hike, necessary toiletries, and local restaurants did not go unnoticed. Can not wait to visit again!

Castle View Cabin is your own private retreat in the White Mountains of Northern NH. The cabin is surrounded by forest, with spectacular views of Mt. Madison, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Jefferson. This beautiful 3 room cabin is very private, with no other buildings, roads, or people within view. It is truly a mountain getaway, close to multiple hiking trails. The interior is bright and clean and is all wood. Mountain views from every window.
There is a comfy queen-sized bed in the bedroom. The bedroom has a comfortable reading chair. The living room has two couches. The kitchen has a table and chairs. All rooms have spectacular views of the mountains. You can lie in bed and gaze at the mountains. You can also enjoy the view from the Adirondack chairs on the porch or the hammock in the yard. The cabin is accessed by a short (330 feet) hiking trail on a gentle incline. If you have significant mobility issues, we advise you not to rent this cabin. There is a well appointed dine-in kitchen, with a 2 burner gas stove, pots and pans for cooking, tea kettle, utensils, dishes, etc. We provide coffee, tea, hot cocoa, as well as cooking oil and spray, some spices, etc. There is instant oatmeal and pancake mix for you. Help yourself! The cabin is a dry cabin and is off the grid. Cell signal appears to vary by carrier. Verizon has a strong signal, AT&T does not. I have not yet determined the strength of other cell carriers. As there is no electricity, there is solar power to charge electronics (and we have a charging station set up. Note - the charging station needs to be turned off when not in use or battery will drain and not charge your electronics). We have rechargeable lights, flashlights, headlamps, and a few candles. There is no running water in the cabin, but we provide water for drinking, cooking and doing dishes (and these are in the cabin). There is a hose with running water outside where you can refill the water for cooking, bathing and dishes. There is a cooler and we will provide a block of ice. There are umbrellas and rain ponchos for use if needed. I have recently installed a shower tent outside that has an on demand propane water heater. The water pressure is not high, but it will get the job done. There are bath towels, washcloths and beach towels in the cabin. I have provided body wash and 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner. There is free swimming about 2 miles down the road. There is a composting toilet in an outbuilding. It is not smelly and is good for the environment. The bathroom is quite cute. The cabin is very private as you can see no roads or other houses and you are surrounded by trees and forest. You have a front row view to the mountains. The cabin is a little less than 1/4 mile away from Rt. 2, so you may hear some intermittent traffic sounds. I recently put in a comfy hammock! Please see pictures for additional details.
Randolph, NH, is a small, rural mountain community, with easy access to multiple hiking trails. It is nestled in the White Mountains and surrounded by National Forest. Randolph borders the town of Gorham, 10 minutes away. Gorham has stores and many excellent restaurants. Randolph is approximately 40 minutes away from outlet shopping in N. Conway.
  • Clean and cozy, with incredible views! Ellen did a great job labeling and providing instructions for everything in the cabin. She also provided all the utensils and other basic items that you might need during your stay. The trail up was steeper than I had anticipated, but totally manageable. The main road was great for a long walk and we enjoyed our stroll to the nearby swimming pond. We had minimal cell service and felt “off the grid,” but that was part of the cabin's charm! Lovely place with a great host.

  • Amazing weekend

    Ashley2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing. We only spent a night and we were really sad about leaving the cabin the day after. We had more than expected, Ellen thought about everything to make us feel comfortable even if there is no electricity. I highly recommand Ellen's cabin and for sure we will rent it again for a longer stay!

    Jessica2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I spent 5 nights at Ellen's cabin in the woods and I totally loved my time there. Ellen has thought of everything to make her cottage cozy, comfortable and welcoming. She is responsive and kind. Such a treat to live off the grid and enjoy the simple pleasures of a fantastic view of the northern Presidential mountains, total privacy, dark starry night sky, clean outhouse, totally comfy bed, lovely candlelight, owl calls, wildflowers, hostas and lilies in the clearing, and a wonderful porch with comfy chairs to watch the changing view as the light and weather shifts. I could go on and on. I know I'll return. It's that kind of place. Oh, and did I mention that there are so many trails to explore from right in that area?! Trails of all levels of challenge, and on both sides of Rte 2. From the cabin, without even getting in my car, I hiked almost to the summit of Mt. Adams. This is a very special place! As long as you know you need to be able to navigate the trail up to and around the cabin. It's not a long trail, but it's rocky. You need to be sure-footed. Enjoy!

    Elizabeth2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing and relaxing stay at Ellen's cottage! A short hike in leads you to the cottage with a beautiful mountain view and a small field of flowers. The porch was a perfect place for a morning coffee. Ellen was great about communicating and answered all our questions. The cottage was spacious for two and charming. It was well-equipped with coffee, snacks, games, books, headlamps- all we needed for a great stay. Thank you, Ellen. We would come back or recommend in a heartbeat.

    Becca & Noor2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Ellen's castle view cabin! Great views and close proximity to presidential range hiking trails. We enjoyed all the nice touches, like pancake mix and scented candles. We highly recommend it!

    Nathalie2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you really want to be alone in the wood, this is the good place! Very nice view!

    Nancy2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Well-appointed cabin. Very private. Off the Grid. Some cute lighting touches. And beautiful view of the presidentials. But when evening comes and it is dark you basically only have candles and flashlights. You are pretty close to the town of Gorham. But for us it was early to bed and early to rise.

Attractive house directly in front of Mt Madison and Mt Adams in the Randolph valley. Adjacent to Mossy Glen. Fall hiking avoids bugs, crowds and extreme heat! Walk to the major trailheads in the valley.
Randolph is a small unique mountain community. FMI look up "Nickerson" in the book "Randolph Old and New", 1924 -- this is the Nickerson Cottage, owned by the Horton family since about 1940. The house sleeps 6.
Hiking, walking, bicycling, sitting on the porch. The new town library is nearby, as is Town Hall.
  • I had a beautiful time at this cottage in the north country. Pictures on Airbnb were accurate of the view and the cottage. I couldn't have been happier spending time in an extremely relaxing and homey cottage and breathing in the mountain air. Hiking the White Mountains was directly in one direction and in the other was as beautiful a local hike in the Mossy Glen. Thank you Doug, Patsy and Edmund.

    Kris2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We love Doug's cabin, this was our second visit and it was great. We enjoyed the trails and the fireplace.

    Leah2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in the Gateway to Northern Presidential was fantastic. Although we arrived late, it was really appreciated being able to sleep in very comfortable beds. The next day we took a pleasant hike to Mount Madison. We finished it off with a wonderful hot meal and everyone fal asleep soon after enjoying a comforting fire. We will certainly return to Randolph for our next hike in the White Mountains. Thank you to our host Doug.

    Marc-André2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Doug is very gracious, informative and helpful. He gave us great hiking recommendations and shared the history of the community. The cottage is full of charm, well equipped, spotless, quiet and has a terrific porch with a great view of the Presidential mountains. On cool evenings we made use of the fireplace which we enjoyed. Randolph is wonderful community and centrally located for great hiking in the White Mountains.

    Mayo2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful step back in time with all the amenities..rustic cabin snuggled in the woods..recommend staying in this cabin for sure! Doug lives nearby, gave us privacy and was helpful when needed. Thanks again!

  • Doug's cabin is a rustic escape in the White Mountains. Perfect access for hiking and a good spot to rest your weary head.

    danielle2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Big house in the woods. When we got there the fire was burning and the heat was on. The small heaters in the rooms were very appreciated because it was cold. It was cozy, but a little dirty and scary (no locks on any doors). It was very nice to have some food already there that we could eat (popcorn, beer, pb & j).

    Elizabeth2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just arrived home from an extended road trip for work, of which a week at Doug's place as the home base for various activities in the northeast was the highlight. I stayed with one of my colleagues and we were both very happy. I had the master bedroom, which had a very comfortable bed and a desk that was perfect for working. We had no problems with the internet, which was very important as we were working pretty much anytime we weren't away from the house. The porch was a very relaxing spot to get together each morning and plan our day. I also took advantage of it one morning to curl up with one of the many interesting books Doug has around the house (Eric Shipton) biography. Everything was clean and cozy, with the huge bonus of a full kitchen and laundry, and we're talking about planning a week of vacation there after a week of work next year if we repeat our trip.

  • Annies apartment is wonderful. We loved it there. We stayed here in order to attend an ATV event and the location is perfect. The apartment is beautiful; so cozy and relaxing, and spotless. I think Annie will be the best hostess we ever run in to. She is just amazing and warm, and will help you with any question in a matter of seconds usually. She is truly a gem. We felt safe at all times here, it is convenient to restaurants and shops, & gas stations. If you have an ATV you can drive it right from the driveway, onto the road to the trail area. Annie made scones for us too! Stay here if you can! You will love it. Hope we can stay there again one day!

    Dulcey2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say except our stay at Annie's apartment was fabulous! She made the time to greet us and show us all of the amenities of the space. Her place is newly renovated and is a mix of old and new hip furnishings. The bed linens are to die for and the bath towels were top notch. She really has thought of everything you could want when traveling on the East Coast. The fridge was stocked with fresh brown eggs, milk, butter and cream. To top that off, she surprised us with fresh baked scones in the am. It is located in the small town of Gorham, and is close to great eateries and antique shops. I would highly recommend staying in the Chic New England Apt.!

  • We loved staying at Annie's beautiful property. Her aesthetic skills and attention to detail made for a breathtaking and relaxing escape for our family. With easy access to Story Land and the White Mountains, we were able to make quick trips back and forth to NH's favorite destinations. Thank you to Annie for being so welcoming - we look forward to visiting again in the future!

  • Annie is such a great host. You can easily feel her warm welcome from all details (from greetings on the blackboard to fresh eggs and milk in the frigid). We really appreciate her flexibility and prompt responses. We had to change our time for arrival because of the weather. She answered our request in just a few minutes. The apartment is located on a quiet street while close to many local bars and restaurants. It was very cozy and well decorated. I will certainly recommend Annie and her apartment to my friends.

  • Annie was a great hostess, taking care to accomodate to our needs and gave us many great recommendations on things to do in the area. She always responded to questions promptly and was very helpful throughout our stay. In terms of the house itself, it is very homey and beautiful with a slightly quirky, quaint type of style. Everything was very clean and the house was well stocked with all the things we needed (towels, kitchenware, etc.). Would definitely stay again.

  • Annie is a delightful host - she has an incredible attention to detail and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Her space is well-lit, warm (perfect for post-ski nights), and the beds are very comfortable. Can't recommend it enough.

This property is nicely settled in the heart of the White Mountains. Here you will find many activities for your family to enjoy. The house sits adjacent to many snow machine/ATV trails, just park your trailer in the driveway and go from here with your snow machine (the ATV trail is approximately 1-2 miles from the house). The driveway is large and can fit many ATVs, snow machines and trailers. Close by are many trail heads, including the Appalachian Mountain Trails. There are many activities to do such as; Golfing, cycling, Story Land, Santa’s Village, Shopping in North Conway, Mount Washington Auto Road, Wildcat Ski Mountain, Sunday River Skiing, Bretton Woods, Attitash, and the newly popular Jericho ATV park. The property sleeps up to eight people. There are three bedrooms, 3 full sized bathrooms and one ¼ sized bath. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a master bathroom, the second bedroom has a full sized bed, and a third bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a full sized kitchen with a dining area and off this area you will find a porch to grill/BBQ. The cellar is finished and has a full sized bathroom and a pull-out couch, a great play area for kids. There is a large back yard for everyone to use. We do not provide towels and linens for this property.
  • The place was BIG and more than enough room for the 4 of us. The Kitchen was well equipped and I was able to make two full breakfast and a roast dinner with no problem. Missy and her husband were very accommodating. We were concern about the travel plans do to bad weather and they were easy enough to deal with even offering us to arrive early to try a beat the storm. When we did arrive our car washer fluid had frozen up and they even worked with us to put the car in the garage to solve the problem with temp that were -8 degree.

    Tina2014-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience for the group! Loved the place. The hosts were quite responsive and answered all are queries patiently.

    Anjaney2014-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house was as listed on the website, in very good condition and well equipped. Missy was responsive host. She had left all the instructions about the house displayed on the refrigerator.

    Dushyant 2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Missy was so responsive throughout the entire trip. The place was beautiful and there was more than enough space for all of us. The location was perfect and a 20-minute drive from Wildcat Mountain. Despite the weather, we had a great time. Thanks for hosting us!

    Thien2014-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up staying in another location that the host had in Whitefield/Dalton because Missy said that was better equipped for cooking. If you are looking for a secluded, comfy retreat in the mountains -- the Whitefield house is perfect. There are several outdoor seating areas and TWO porches, we watched the stars every night -- which was a true treat for us since we're NYers and can't see them in the pollution! We were looking for a place for our "mini-moon" and this definitely fit our needs. Three bedrooms, all have queen-sized beds ... two bathrooms, laundry downstairs, porches, living room, ample kitchen. Beautiful house, and close enough to the hiking we wanted to do (Mount Adams is ~40 minutes and Jefferson ~45) Would definitely recommend, we were a couple but would be perfect to come in a group given the number of rooms and outdoor seating areas.

    Abby2014-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! House was perfect for our group of family and friends. Owners were extremely responsive, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful - we felt very welcome in their home!

    Jessica2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • we enjoyed, all was good

    nagendra2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great, very convenient for tours in The White Mountains. House very spacious, but short of basic things such as reading lamps in bedrooms and bedtable in the small bedroom. Also needed a blow dryer and dish towels. Very nice and efficient washer and dryer. The mattresses were very bad except in the master bedroom, could feel the springs in all the rest of them. The cleaning upon arrival left somewhat to be desired. The place seemed to need some TLC, but with a little effort it would be perfect. We did not meet Missy, but had to call her in the morning to get info before our arrival later the same day. Would have been nice with an email a little in advance. But all in all we had a very pleasant stay in nice surroundings, and the kitchen and dining area worked very well for us. Even two coffee makers both a Keurig and a regular one.

    Gorham NH Getaway
    13 reviews
Located on Main Street in downtown Gorham, NH overlooking the Moose River. The is one of two roomy 2 bedroom apartments that we offer. It is on the 2nd floor (stair access, no elevator) over the Northeast Snowmobile and ATV Rentals office. we are close to the White Mountains, hiking, atv & snowmobile trails and so much more! It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. Link to activities: http://gorhamnewhampshire.com/Recreation.html
The apartment is very roomy! You'll enter into the kitchen first, which has everything you'll need (except a dishwasher, sorry!) for preparing all your meals. Pots and pans, glassware, etc. if there is something we've missed, please let us know. We have a large table in the kitchen, and a smaller one in the living room. Open from the kitchen is the large living, which in addition to the small table has a sofa and large comfy chair, desk and TV. Down a short hall you will find the bathroom, and to either side of the bathroom you will find the two bedrooms. Each bedroom has two full-size beds. We'll have the beds made for you, and there will be plenty of towels in the bathroom.
Gorham, NH is a fabulous location for outdoor enthusiasts! The hiking and ATV/snowmobile trails that are close by are truly breathtaking and we are excited that folks are coming to stay to enjoy them. We are also close to Santa's Village and Storyland, so have had families staying with us while visiting those parks. We are an easy 30 minute drive to North Conway, NH, so if you want to take advantage of some outlet shopping there, but get away from the crowds, then Gorham is the place for you!
  • This place is amazing to stay for a weekend to enjoy life! It is very close to some ski resorts and to the hiking spots! We've visited it to hike Mt.Washington and it was great! Big common room, nice kitchen, porch and BBQ!!!

  • Communication was excellent. Having a manager onsite during business hours (who provided his cell number for emergencies) was very helpful. We arrived to muffins and orange juice, which was a nice touch. The train is VERY loud and comes more than once a night on weekdays, so just consider that if anyone in your group is bothered by noise. The place is huge sand would easily fit a large group.

    Jennifer2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect location for my friend and I who were doing the Presidential Traverse. Sarah was an excellent host and had great communication. Instructions were easy to follow and the beds were super comfortable. Will definitely stay here again for my next hiking adventure.

    Tim2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. Nice, comfy place with a big deck. Walking distance to everything in the town. Great communication and nice folks on site. We plan to return!

    Vance2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you find yourself In Gorham for hiking (or atv if you roll that way) this is the place to stay. Much better accommodations than the myriad of motor inns that line this tiny mountain town. Spacious and comfortable with mountain views out of many of the windows. Kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay. We enjoyed sitting on the second floor deck looking at the Presidential range. The Atv rental place below minds their manners and there really aren't any noise issues unless you want to sleep really late. Believe it or not both the couches in the place are great for a little nap between activities. Definitely recommend. And Sarah is quick to respond to all inquiries.

    Leon2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we come back here, and we liked it a lot! The staff of the ATV rental (just below the apartment) was very nice with us. We felt like at home! It is very close to the trailhead of Mt. Adams, and just 20 minutes away from Mt. Washington. The only drawbak, which is uncontrollable, is the train that passes very near during the night, but when you're sleeping, you don't hear it! (but if you don't sleep like me because you're too excited by your ascent of Mt Adams the next day, you do hear it...)

    Audrée2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Near of withe mountains, lot of Space for a hikers group

    Raphael2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • After a 7 hour drive it was very pleasant to step into the apartment filled with freshness of the mountain air. Another pleasant touch were the fresh flowers on the dining table. The keypad on the door is awesome! Our group had to split up and it was a super convenience not to have to juggle keys. It is very spacious and with 7 people we felt very comfortable and not on each others toes. The location is perfect, there is a gas station across the street for anything you forgot to pack. It's very close to several trail heads, if you're hiking the Presidential. Also if you hike and want to wash your clothes, there is even a washer and a dryer!

Gorham/Berlin is one of only two towns in New Hampshire that allow ATV traffic to ride the main roads. 4x4 trail in Jericho St Park is new for 2016! Park charges $20 fee for this trail
Maps shows a 4.5 mile ATV trail straight to Jericho State Park but I've just been told it is for only snowmobiles, so you can leave your car behind and ride your ATV right from the house to the trail to the park! The town of Gorham is one of only two towns that allow ATV's to be ridden on the streets but they must have a headlight and driven on the roads, not sidewalks and at speeds 30 mph and below. • We only stayed two nights, but Darrell's place is definitely well set up for a longer stay. It's spacious, charming, and very warm despite the chilly evenings. And the big screen TV with Netflix is nice to wind down after a day of hiking. Overall a great spot to base yourself for a White Mountains adventure.

  • It was a nice quiet stay, The place was very comfortable and has easy 15 Min drive to the Mt Washington Auto Road and Glen Trials, Check in and check out was easy, Especially the view is amazing.. the property overlooks a big mountain... its a lovely sight during sunrise / sunset...Darrel have also stocked up the kitchen with couple of noodles / Coffee / oil / sugar and ketchups.. A place we will definitely stay at again.

  • Kate and Al were wonderful hosts. Arriving and getting into our suite was a seamless transition. Not only did we get what we expected, but they also provided the small things such as towels, soap, shampoo, etc. We were also provided with pamphlets about attractions in the town and places to eat. Though the pamphlets were useful Kate and Al directed us to other venues not listed that were fantastic. The town itself is a small place but it comes with everything one needs. The first night we ate at the Salt Pub and the food was amazing! Oh, and white water rafting is also a must!

It will feel like your own private, happy, getaway.
  • Our stay was spectacular. Our host were amazing they went out of there way to treat us like family, show us around and took care of our every need. Mark and Kim are fabulous people!!!! You need to come and stay at their beautiful mountain hideaway, like us you will never want to leave!!!

    Paula2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kim were lovely, and Kim's banana bread is to die for. They offered to take us hiking with them, and helped us with the hot tub when we couldn't quite figure out how to get the jets to work. Overall lovely people, and a pleasure to stay with.

  • We had a wonderful time. They were very responsive and Mark made sure we had a great stay by lighting a warm fire and giving us travel recommendations. Wonderful hosts. Thank you Mark and Kim for sharing your home with us.

  • Mark and Kim are the actual BOMB! Great stay and they recommended some great locations to visit in the area!

    Guido2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for a large group, tons of places to sleep and relatively close to the mountains. It reminded me of college, in a good way - and the hot tub is amazing. After a day of snowboarding it was the best thing ever. Mark and Kim were extremely attentive, and even baked us some cookies which was a nice treat after a long drive.

    Jared2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kim were a great host to 11 of us staying at their place for a weekend. The place was large enough to fit everyone comfortably and Mark and Kim were very accommodating with everything from check-in to checkout. They gave us great recommendations for sight seeing and local places to go see. Would stay again!

  • Great place with a beautiful view, close to the White Mountains, it was perfect for a long weekend!

    Clara2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our family has gone to visit Santa's Village and Storyland for several years now and this was by far the best place we have found to stay. It is close to both places, very well decorated and very clean. It felt like being at home rather than at a "hotel". We will definitely stay here again. The cohosts downstairs were very friendly and helpful.

    Mark2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was just as described. The co-hostess, Cheryl -- who lives on the floor below -- was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here because it was about 45 minutes from Storyland and 30 minutes from Santa's Village. This allowed us to do day trips with our two little girls (18 months and almost 4). My wife is very picky about the comfortability of beds and was happy. Check-in and check-out were both easy and frictionless. The wireless internet connectivity and bandwidth was fantastic, especially in comparison to other places we've stayed, including hotels. There was air conditioning in both the bedrooms, which is important during the hot, humid summer months, but sometimes difficult to find in that area (on AirBnB). When we do this trip next year, we'll likely stay here again.

    Jonathan2017-07-28T00:00:00Z

Guests are welcome to use the entire home with the exception of the cellar.
The house is centrally located. It is close to restaurants, bars, stores and the local ice arena. Less than 5 miles away from the ATV trail system at Jericho State Park. Not far from outlet shopping- http://www.settlersgreen.com/ and hiking trails- https://www.alltrails.com/us/new-hampshire/berlin.
  • Close to all trails..

    Nicholas2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Merrilee did a fantastic job she had everything you would need, the Yard was great for unloading and loading the ATVs and very central to the trails. The mattresses where very comfortable and the house very clean. I give her a A++++

    Mark2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My broomball teammates and I were in town for a tournament, so imagine our delighted surprise to find Merrilee's offering within walking distance of the rink! The house was extremely clean and comfortable, and check in and out was a breeze. Merrilee was very communicative of details and quick to respond to all inquiries. We had a fantastic weekend, and we'll definitely look to book again the next time we find ourselves in Berlin.

    Jeremy2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Merrilee was a great and fast communicator. The place was very spacious for me and my friends (group of 4). It is nothing fancy but clean and just what we needed for the weekend. (A place to sleep before and after our prezzie traverse- though a little further for the end trailhead- bad planning on my part.) It was a little bit difficult to cook there (no cutting board and only small paring knives) but we made it work. The home has beautiful views of the White Mountains.

    Evadne2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for riding the trails at Jericho State Park. Great location and service

    Keith2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great home if you like four wheeling, you can leave right from the home!

    Ryan2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Merrilee's house! Lots of space inside and out with all the basics. Not too far from White Mountain Auto Road, a Walmart, gas & a few places to eat. I saw many ATV's on the road nearby.

    Sherrie2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay for a group of friends who love to explore small towns. Easiest check-in & check-out system. Host responded immediately. Recommend it if you plan to explore NH. We had time to check out Lincoln/North Conway area.

This private room has it's own bathroom with stand up shower. Hardwood floors, king size bed, with a small twin. Strong Wi-Fi!
Rattle River hostel, initially designed as a Bed and Breakfast, also gives comfort to through-hikers who use paths on our property; our most famous including the Appalachian Trail. This 4,000 square foot home has a combination of private rooms and bunk rooms that offer comforts ranging for large families to the careful solo hiker! If you're not ready to rest, join other hikers in our cozy, communal rooms where you can trade stories with others and learn from a full range of experiences! If hiking the largest trail in North America isn't for you, get lost in our beautiful backyard, where you can sit at a picnic table and enjoy the Little Rattle River spilling into our personal pond. Or wander through the wooded trails that pass through our property, including some paths that circle back to our door.
  • Good place for hikers! Kind and helpfull staff.

    Dirk en Linda2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to hang out with hikers and outdoor folk. The house is nice and has a very friendly vibe. Erik was a great host, helpful with hiking info! Our room was spacious and clean. Our only complaint was the traffic noise, especially from logging trucks in the early morning. Bring your earplugs!

    Josette2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • So I got to Erik's place sadly very late due to some bad traffic. His staff let me in at almost midnight and was more worried about my safety driving at night than keeping them up. The staffing was unparalleled to most experiences I've had anywhere else. The location is absolutely beautiful and they care about your stay dearly. I can't say enough good things.

    Richard2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute area and was able to get some good hiking recommendations.

    Sheenae2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This old house is great to stay at whether in town for business or need a place to stay off the trail hikes! The staff is very friendly, house is clean for an 1800's build with interesting history, and scenery is wonderful with a lovely back yard. They are very flexible with check in and do a very good job communicating before your stay. The only slightly negative things I could mention is the truck traffic off the highway but rooms have a homedics sound machine that helps with the background noise and phone service is spotty but the internet is reliable.

    Shalane2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Erik was great and his crew was ok. I was expecting a quiet AirBnB, and this was much more of a hostel for people through-hiking the AT. I was initially turned off by this (I am hiker and love the AT, but was looking for a quiet bed & breakfast to relax and recharge), but the place was cool despite the number of ppl there (houses 19 beds - some bunk rooms). The house was remarkably clean for how many ppl go through. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, as described; the room was great. The door could be locked from the inside when going to sleep, but not from the outside (if leaving for a bit), which is important for a private room in a hostel. The noise level was remarkably well-controlled at night. Wifi was strong enough to support Netflix, but would not call it very strong - was 10Mb/S despite reported fiber optic connection. Free breakfast was ok and coffee was good. Ultimately, Erik was a great guy, and I would stay here again if doing some hiking in the area.

    Jonathan 2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Erik's place is the perfect launching point for hiking and skiing in the area. The room was spotless and located on a corner of second floor. The bed was huge and comfortable. Erik himself is very friendly and offered great suggestions on local restaurants and hikes. A special treat was our delicious breakfast with a community of hikers.

This classic house, circa 1863, in the center of this historic lumber industry town is near White Mountains National Park offers extensive hiking and cross-country skiing trails, downhill skiing at Wild Cat Ski Area, and a vast network of trails open to ATV’s and snowmobiles. Also, Jericho Lake offers swimming and boating in a mountain setting replete with natural beauty.
Only five minutes from Jericho Mountain State Park, we are right downtown with easy access to stores, restaurants, and festivities, just walking distance to Notre Dame Ice Skating Arena, home of the "River Drivers" Hockey Team.
  • Amazing clean place, perfect for a stay in the white Mountains ! Jan has the perfect map of the whole mountains to help you prepare your trip. I recommend this location!

    Graziella2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very comfortable stay at the Prince House. The bed was very comfortable and all the guest rooms were even nicer than they look online. Jan was a warm and welcoming host and I would definitely stay here again!

    Julie2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The host Jan is so personable and helpful. The house has a few staircases, so if you have mobility issues, upstairs is not for you. The house is clean, quaint, and very affordable. We would stay again.

    Michelle2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't get to stay due to problems with Mother Nature and compounded by problems on both of our sides. Jan was very generous in offering a refund when I didn't expect it due to the lateness of the cancellation.

    Roger2017-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jan was pleasant and informative about the area with things to do, places to eat and he truly seemed interested in our comfort and well being. The house is old and the steps do squeak but we felt at home because our old house squeaks also. Our room was clean and it is obvious that Jan puts a great deal of effort into taking care of his guests.

    Stephen2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable accommodations for a group, with a small shared living room

    Cyndy2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jan is a very nice host. I was the only guest the night I stayed so I had my pick of rooms. Fresh towels and soap were provided. The house is right in downtown Berlin. It was a little noisy outside being a Saturday night, but it quieted down after 11. I stayed here as it was convienent to my hiking plans.

    Jason2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jan is a fantastic and friendly host. Beds were comfortable. House is beautiful. Everything was very clean and provided us with all the basics and more. Just a note: it's an old house with lots of wood floors so it can be noisy sometimes.

  • Plenty comfortable. But realize there is no wifi and no A/C. Latter shouldn't really be a problem except on just a few days. Plan on eating in Gorham. There didn't seem to be one decent restaurant in Berlin.

    James2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • As others have said, the house was as pictured and Carol was very easy to communicate and we were able to let ourselves in on our own schedule. The location was great for hiking in the Whites -- 15-30 min drive to many trailheads. The set up was good for two couples (there are two private bedrooms) though many more can fit comfortably in the private room with a futon or in the double bed that is not private (in a room between bedrooms and bathroom). Overall, we had a very restful stay and would consider this place as a budget option for a large group meeting up to enjoy NH's mountains and towns.

    Dorothy2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a bunch of 5 friends to Mt Washington and Carol's place was ideal for the stay. It's like 15 min drive from My Washington and surrounded with nice restaurants and stores to get almost everything we need. Beds were all made very clean and overall well maintained place. Ideal for friends and family stay.

    Shirish2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carol communicated well throughout the process. House was as described and pictured. It’s a nice place up on the hill on the outskirts of town. I was in town for a yearly event and would consider staying here again in future.

    Edward 2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and a very comfortable mountain home. We greatly enjoyed our stay and Carol was a wonderful host with great communication and clear instructions. Would definitely return.

    Brian2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nicely maintained house.. clear instructions.. and a nice kitchen... to sum up - a good package... great if 6-8 ppl travelling together.

    Rahul2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We felt instantly at home at Carol's Private home rental in Berlin. The place was cozy and well-maintained, with a comfortable, right-at-home feeling. We really appreciated that it wasn't overly fancy, as we weren't looking for a hotel experience. But everything was neat and clean. Carol left very clear instructions on coming and going as well as some recommendations for local restaurants to check out. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to rent there again if we're ever back in northern NH!

    Ash2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was really responsive and was even willing to come by and help look into something for us when a problem came up. The home had more room then we anticipated which my group really liked, seeing that everyone was able to find their own sleeping space. There is a wide variety of movies in the living room with big speakers, the TV however was a little out of date. Overall the stay was very comfortable for us and we would definitely comeback if we're ever in the area.

  • Jayne accommodated us on a very short notice. Her apartment is clean, cozy, and conveniently located for anyone who's planning to go hiking in the Presidential Range of the White mountains. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to meet Jayne in person, but she communicated well and we had no problems checking in/out. Highly recommending this affordable little gem.

  • This is a whole, small apartment. There is a living room, good sized kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Our only issues were that our entrance wasn't obvious to us. Turns out it's just obvious: it's the front door to the house! Go in. You're there. Apartment is up the stairs. They are steep, but it says so in the ad, so we had no problem with that. Combination lock is easy and handy. This was the best kitchen we had at any AIRBNB on a two week road trip. Be aware, it is an attic apartment, so the ceilings are slanted about 45 degrees, in places. The two you'll want to be conscious of, are over the bed and in the shower. We found a friendly bar, Fagins Pub, to grab a sandwich and beer, right on Main St. Gorham is also an easy drive for food and, in the morning, the Water Wheel, on the way to the Cog Train was good too.

This is close to the largest atv trail system east of the Rockies with the ability to leave right from the driveway on your machine. It is also just minutes away from Mount Washington and multiple ski areas. You’ll love this place because of the easy going neighborhood. You can enjoy the hand crafted swing on front porch. You can enjoy the feel of being in the woods without going without. This place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, groups, and furry friends.
Recently remodeled. Sleeps six singles comfortably. Can always double up on five of the beds and bring cots for more.
Great neighborhood with very little traffic. Located a couple blocks from the highschool so around 7am and 2pm there is more traffic than normal at those times during the school year.

Enjoy our cozy cottage which is situated on a quiet country road tucked into the woods of the White Mountain National Forest. We are just minutes from Mt Washington, hiking, skiing, shopping. Great for families or small group of friends. This cozy cottage sits on a knoll and looks out across the road to a bank of White Birches. No matter the season view is always spectacular. My favorite is sitting out on the two Adirondack chairs that are on the front lawn and star gazing. The night is absolutely black; with no city light obstructions. Sit long enough and you will most probably catch a shooting star or two. Or sit in the backyard by our fire pit. There are 8 adirondack chairs for your comfort. This entire 3 bedroom home is yours to enjoy. There is also an oversized garage if needed. This comes in handy for folks that are touring on motorcycles. Keep the bikes out of the weather. Also please enjoy the fire pit area in the backyard. There are 8 adirondack chairs located around the fire pit as well as a gas grill. My husband and I own a campground directly across the river from this home; about one mile away. We would like for you to also take advantage of all the campground has to offer if you choose. Pool, playground, walking trails and more. We are opened from 8:30am-8:30pm but are always just a phone call away. You can enjoy a nice walk or bike ride along our country road. If you continue for about 15 miles you will arrive in Bethel ME. This road also parallels the Androscoggin River where there are many nice pull offs for fishing and swimming. We have a table setup in the foyer filled with area attraction brochures and maps. We provide you driving loops of the area so if you are looking to get out and explore we'll help you find the hidden gems. You will want to have access to your own vehicle as there is not any public transportation nearby. Because the home sites on a knoll; there is stair access only to enter the home; so it is not suited to anyone that would have problems climbing stairs.
The home is situated on a quiet, country road. No street lights; great for night sky star gazing.
  • We recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at Laurie and Dave's cozy cottage. I grew up in the area and now love to visit the White Mtn region with my husband and two young sons. Communicating with Laurie before our stay was very quick and easy. The listing of the cottage is very accurate. The house was clean and well maintained. Our boys enjoyed a fire in the fire pit in the back yard as well as roasting marshmallows. There is a well-maintained field across the street that is part of the property that the boys used to play soccer. The foosball table was a hit! There is also a small designated playroom with a wall chalkboard, kids size table, megabloks, and many other toy/game options. The cottage is located on a very quiet road with minimal traffic. The nights are quiet and dark (no street lamps). Check-in and check-out process was easy and is done at the owner's campground office located a few miles down the street. The layout of the house took some getting used to as there is a 1/2 step between most rooms that caused a few stumbles the 1st few days. This cottage was a terrific option for us to use as a "home base"--it was wonderful to come home to a quiet space after a day of exploring the local attractions (hiking, Santa's Village, Lost River). The cottage is equipped with wi-fi which definitely came in handy as our cell coverage was not reliable (not many cell towers in the north country!) The owners also welcomed us to use any of the amenities of their campground down the street (the pool listed in the description is a heated outdoor pool at the campground). Unfortunately we ran out of time to take advantage of the pool--the boys have already asked us when we are coming back and if we can stay longer next time! Thank you Laurie and Dave! --Melissa, Stephen, Kai and Luke

  • Host was great to deal with. Very responsive and pleasant in person. The house was perfect. Quiet street. Close to all the hiking we wanted.

  • Great spot, as advertised, near Mt. Washington and various spectacular swimming holes, which is what we were looking for.

  • Best hoslitsluty ever!!!! The house is so beutiful and the farm!! Nick took our kids around, and make them taste the real life of the farm... dont miss this place! Its so special and welcoming!!!

  • If you're searching for the perfect base-camp for a White Mountains getaway, look no further. The house is perfectly positioned with a short drive away from major trail heads to climb some 4000 footers. It has plenty of space and many games to keep you occupied after a day of hiking. We were particularly fond of the darts-board and the foosball table. The night sky in the neighborhood should also be noted. There is no light pollution, so if you want to spend a romantic evening stargazing, this is the place! Laurie was great, she has all the local secrets, so don't be shy to ask.

  • The place is close to a lot of hiking trail. My son enjoyed the toy room and the fire pit at the house

  • Laurie was fantastic! I can't say enough good things about her. The place was clean, exactly as described, and very charming. She was great at communicating over email, made herself available if we needed, but was not at all overbearing (we actually never physically saw her the whole weekend). We'd love to come back in the future

You will find all the comforts home in this neat, three-bedroom house near the banks of the Androscoggin River which runs through Berlin: a small city with that “small-town feel” in the Great North Woods region of New Hampshire. Opportunities abound for those who enjoy the outdoors and the natural beauty of New England. This "Northwoods Haven" is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.
This house sits on a long, narrow lot with a deep backyard, mature trees and a stone fireplace. Plenty of parking in the long driveway – enough room for a couple of vehicles along with trailers for ATV’s or snow machines. There are 3 bedrooms (1 queen and 2 twin) and a large, carpeted living-room floor with two comfy air mattresses available. There are roomy dressers and closets for all of your clothing and possessions. Bathroom has tub and shower and is stocked with thick, cotton towels, paper products, bar soap, liquid hand soap and shampoo. Full, eat-in kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There is a coffee maker with regular & decaf coffee, creamers, sugar & sugar substitute provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who enjoy cooking and eating at home. Also provided are paper towels, paper plates and napkins for those “take-out” meals. Living room has lots of comfortable seating and a flat screen HD TV with streaming video through Roku which includes Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu. Wireless internet is included. (WEP Key provided upon your arrival) There is a large, sunny, enclosed back porch: a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and/or store your skis & boots.
Located at the northern end of town, this is a quiet, residential neighborhood. Traffic on the street can get a little busy during certain times of day but is not noisy enough to be annoying or even noticeable. Our local hospital is located less than a mile up the road. The neighbors are quiet and most have lived in the neighborhood for many years.
  • Absolutely adorable house, comfortable beds, very clean, fully stocked with fresh towels and all the kitchen utensils one might need. Lynn was a fantastic host, meeting us at the house for the key exchange, tour, and overview; she even baked us scones!! I would highly recommend staying here.

    Camilla2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house was extremely clean and well organized as well as easy to access. Lynn was very easy to communicate with and responsive. We arrived early and only gave Lynn a 10 minute notice of our arrival time and she still met us as we pulled up. The house was comfortable and the backyard made for a great camp fire with friends. The host even left freshly baked cookies for us which was a nice warm touch. Lynn also provided menus and information on local businesses and attractions which helped when we decided to order delivery one night. Leaving right from the driveway on our ATV's made daily trips easy and convenient, we were worried about neighbors complaining but never heard from either. Our only complaints that made this a 4 star review vs 5 stars was the lack of A/C through the hot weekend and only 1 queen bed, the 2 other bedrooms have twin beds. Lynn graciously included 2 twin air mattresses though which helped with our 5 total guests. We will certainly be staying again.

    Derek2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Lynn's place made our trip to Mt. Washington so beautiful. We loved the house, she has decorated with all the nice details, and its very pretty. I love the fact that she had every little thing kept for us, like stationary, tools, towels, fan, roku, internet, etc so handy and well placed. All the description is very accurate. She also gave us great dinning recommendations. She is the best host I have had om Airbnb, and we will love to be her guest next time we are in the area.

  • The house is pristine and nicely decorated. The kitchen and eating area is large and the living room is a nice gathering space. We only used one of the three bedrooms - very comfortable bed! I enjoyed the porch as well. Highly recommend!

  • Lyn was a perfect host who maintained excellent communication with us to make our arrival and stay as easy as possible. The house is immaculate, stylish, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped with the most amazing order and precision. A delight. Thank you.

  • My coworker and I stayed here while traveling for business and we had a really nice stay. Lynn met us at the house and showed us around. Everything was clean and it was close enough to the river to go for a walk nearby. Would stay here again :)

    Andi2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean home and Lynn is very good in her communication . If you plan a longer stay there is no washing and dryer machine for your clothes. A part of that we had a wonderful stay

    Raphael2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The best host ever. Lynn even had airmatresses ready for my kids which I was expecting to blow up. Lynn welcomed us upon arrival and was such a pleasure to meet. We will be coming back yearly

Featuring cabin-style rooms on a farm with mountain views from the top of the world. We abut hiking, snowmobile, and ATV trails. With goats and chickens in the barn, wild berries in the fields, and all kinds of wildlife, the Berlin Trails Farm sits just up Cates Hill from the scenic Androscoggin - great for fishing, canoeing, and white water rafting. We are surrounded by hundreds of acres of meadows and wilderness, gentle breezes, mountain sunsets, and wide starry nights. Come share in it all!
Rustic cabin-style rooms with pine countertops and log furniture with all the comforts of home including TV, Wi-Fi, pellet stove, microwave, and fridge stocked with local breakfast foods. Outdoor fireplace, picnic area, and goat barn.
We're 2000 feet above sea level, up atop a hill at the far northern edge of town, with the best view in the Great North Woods.
  • The Berlin Trails Inn is such a cool getaway any time of the year. We were a little worried about going in January but it's close to great winter hiking, snowmobiling and skiing. Berlin is actually a cool little town, Mount Washington is only a half hour drive and you have complete wilderness anywhere north of city limits. Ted and Barbera were completely accommodating while still allowing plenty of privacy. The cabin is attached to their home but it's essentially your own residence. They're happy to offer plenty of advice on places to see and things to do on the area. They also stock the place with a boatload of breakfast food - mostly local- and all cooking essentials. Tv and wifi if ya want it, pellet burning stove, bear rug, locally made bars of soap. What more can ya ask for. We've never had a better Airbnb experience.

  • It was such a wonderful experience here. The guest house is amazing and you have your privacy with a own entry. The hosts Ted as well as Barbara are to person with a huge heart and are always willing to help you and give you information about places to go for a hike, to eat, to meet people or just enjoying the beautiful area where they live. For me so far was the best experience I have done in the airbnb and I am very glad that I have met such friendly hosts. I will come back! I warmly recommend this place to go!

    Cécilia2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This inn was a home away from home. Barbara and Ted were great hosts that had a lot of suggestions on local restaurants as well as things to do. The views were wonderful and there wasn't anything my boyfriend and I didn't like. We are sure to return again soon!

  • Can't say enough about the stay, It was wonderful will be staying there again Better than any motel

    Kenneth R2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • My husband booked this Inn for a weekend away with our 8 month old daughter and my mother - we loved every minute of it. We are avid ATV riders and stayed at various camps throughout northern NH, this by far was the best. It is about a 10-15 minute ride to Jericho State Park and Success Pond. There are also a few trails behind the house that are accessible for guests to ride. Ted took the time to mow a path through a meadow so we could access them. Ted also took my husband for a tour on his UTV and showed him different hiking and ATV trails. The Inn is clean, spacious, and well stocked with breakfast foods, beverages and other kitchen essentials. The view is second to none. There is a beautiful firepit that Ted stocked daily with logs and kindling and a charcoal grill for grilling. The whole family felt very welcomed here, by both Ted and Barabara. They are very gracious hosts! We will definitely visit again.

  • Were a little anxious at first since we were the first visitors (no reviews), but just meeting Theodore made us feel at home. He was very helpful and friendly, the house itself has everything we needed and more. We travel a lot with airbnb and this is one of the best places we slept in..

    Omer2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed!! Book your trip and do nothing but relax and enjoy. We made wonderful memories from our weekend at their place.

    Darlene2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My family were looking for a place to stay in Berlin, NH for a few days to try ATVing for the first time. We had never tried an AirBnb, and I was skeptical. I appreciated the prompt response from Ted and Barbara, and good communication. I have two teens and hoped for some "togetherness". When I happened across Ted and Barbara's Hill Top Farm of Berlin Trails which, boasted goats and access to the ATV trails, I emailed Ted and Barbara, and they quickly responded. When our tired family came over that hill after a 3 hour trip, and witnessed the panoramic views, we were amazed! Ted greeted us at 4:45 in the driveway, and right away his warmth was authentic. He told us he would take us to town to register our ATV's before the place closed at 5:00 so we could get on those trails ASAP the next day! He pointed us toward a local fair in town which, Ted suggested some awesome Thai food and other treats! My son is still talking about that whoopie pie! When we returned, the sun was casting the most amazing colors across the sky over the farm, and Ted was starting a fire on the outdoor pit. The Inn boasts two bedrooms, one in which my husband and I slept, and the other has a queen bed with pull out sofa, that my son says was most comfortable! The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs, sausage, bread, etc, and yogurt made fresh from Ted and Barbara's goats! I mixed this with fresh fruit each morning! This is a gem of a place, and we will certainly return...often!
