  • The Coal Creek A-Frame was just what I was looking for. What a great place to get away! Kim was so nice - left a note saying to check out the creek behind the house (beautiful!) and letting me know that I can grab a pass and hit the pool. The A-Frame itself was clean, comfortable and private. It's definitely on my list of places to return. Thank you Kim and Paul!

  • Paul and Kim were great... A Frame was gorgeous. It was clean and very comfortable ... great location for spending couple days exploring Mt R. Paul and Kim were friendly and helpful with few questions we had about where trails/food were located.

  • Had a great stay at the coal creek A-frame. Such a wonderful, cozy, comfortable and organized little cabin. I was doing some cycling in the area and it is in ideal location and very close to Mt Rainier national park. Wifi performance was also very good. Kim and Paul were great hosts and were very pleasant to chat with. I would definitely come back for another visit!

  • The house was in excellent condition. It's clean, cozy, and much bigger than I expected. The location was great. We had a great time!

  • This treasure is tucked in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for adults or children to walk around. The house had everything we needed and my son is now fascinated with A-frame construction. This was a great getaway after a busy week in the city.

  • This is a lovely cabin! Even with 4 adults, there was plenty of room, and it felt very comfortable. It was fully equipped with great climate control, kitchenette with everything you need to prepare a nice meal, a roomy bathroom, sitting area and a small table. There were plenty of DVDs for us to watch, as well. I also loved that it had an indoor fireplace! On the spacious outside deck, there's a gas grill and a table for eating as well. The beds are all super comfortable! You'll get a great sleep here with the peace and quiet. Kim and Paul were fantastic hosts and were really responsive to all our questions and needs. Their instructions were very clear and it's evident they take great care in their cabin and in taking care of their guests. They keep the place spotless and very homey! We can't thank them enough! The cabin sits just a few miles away from the center of Packwood, where you can find great coffee and restaurants. It's really short drive to Mt. Rainier Park, where there are plenty of great hikes overlooks! I would highly recommend Kim and Paul's cabin if you're in the Mt. Rainier area and want to stay in a cozy and lovely place with all the comforts of home.

    Maria2015-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kim and Paul were wonderful hosts and were really helpful when we asked for suggestions about the area. The location was great - right between the National Park and local town. Really enjoyed being so close to the creek and river. Our kids were delighted to stay in the cozy little A-frame as well. Many thanks!

    Bethany2013-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the cabin. It was super adorable! The feel of the cabin was fun and relaxing. The beds were on the firmer side. We would totally stay there again. Paul and Kim were very kind and helpful!

  • The house was great. We enjoyed our stay.

    Donna2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely adored our stay.It was just what our family needed. There were two couples and two children. We used the queen beds that were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we could possibly want to do all of our cooking. The backyard space was a dream. It felt quiet and secluded. We used the spa, fire pit and the whisper room. We enjoyed smores and using the gas burning grill. We had the tools for grilling. We recommend this home for a quiet and restful getaway.

  • Lois & Darryl were great hosts that went the extra mile. They kept us notified about the burn ban and a funeral that was happening nearby, and also let us check out late. They also wrote us a lovely card and left delicious s'mores supplies! The house was stocked with everything we needed: plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, cooking utensils, firewood, etc. The patio area was great for BBQ and chilling outside in the hot tub was fabulous.

    Amos2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place has everything you could want. The covered outdoor seating with fire pit are perfect in poor weather. The hot tub and sauna are very nice luxuries. There was plenty of comfortable room for 4 adults. Everything we needed was locatable, and the kitchen well equipped. The home is also very tastefully decorated and is a soothing environment. We loved the accessibility to many forest service roads and trails. A great place for the outdoor enthusiast or someone seeking a peaceful resting place with beautiful natural surroundings.

  • Our experience at Mountain Haven was absolutely one of the best places we've stayed. While Randle is a very small town with not too much going on it doesn't matter because the home is so fun and has everything! From relaxing in the hot-tub to enjoying music in the sauna to s'mores with a beautiful fire! Just as the photos show you are surrounded by mountain tops! The home is incredibly clean, new and the hosts are extremely accommodating. Thank you Lois and Darryl! Hope to be back again soon!

    Michael2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our second trip to this incredible home was equally wonderful to the first. The home itself is exactly as perfect as the description outlines. Lois and Darryl are the consummate hosts who prepare the home with care and thought. As a sign of true class, they even reached out several times before the trip to let us know about some events occurring in the area and updates to the home prior to our arrival. This lovely place always feels like our second home. Kudos to our hosts!

    Greg2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was easy to find, very clean, organized and had everything we needed. No problems getting in or locking up. Especially loved everything about the back yard even though we didn't have enough time to fully utilize it all. My son especially loved the cozy blankets on the bed and couches. We definitely recommend staying here.

This is an adorable, cozy, country cottage. It is always a work in progress as we work to update this 60 yr old cabin. It is light and airy, warm in winter, cool in summer and gorgeous pastoral and mtn views from the abundant windows! GREAT BEDS!! Great linens. Plenty of blankets and pillows and sleep options. We try to use mostly natural cleaning products so those with allergies can enjoy their visit. Check with host about sleep options before booking. Check with host about pets before booking.
The is a charming, eclectic, rustic 800 sq ft country cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. It is not a modern luxurious condo and we wouldn't want it to be. But if you're looking for gorgeous views, close to nature, central to all three mountains, clean, well appointed cottage, this is for you.
Located in a very rural farm community surrounded by pastures, mountains, and The Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Two miles from the small town of Randle, Washington which has all needed tourist amenities but does close down at night. It is a very safe area with many opportunities for sighting wildlife from the cottage.
  • We booked this house after our camping plans were foiled by weather. Michel had everything we needed and things were clean and tidy. It's a great jumping off point to explore Mt. Rainier and I would definitely recommend.

    Aaron2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We did not meet our host but the communication between us was great. Would stay again if ever in that area.

    martie2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Michel's cabin was absolutely gorgeous. Great views and so quiet. We were climbing by Mt. Rainier the next day so this was a perfect spot for us to decompress after a long drive up from White Salmon and Portland. Check in was seamless and the place was spotless. We'd stay again!

  • The Islandia Cottage is ideal for a quiet getaway or as a home base for wilderness adventures in the heart of the Cascades. Whether seeking rest and solace or gearing up for a trek, Michel and Mark make the stay comfortable and simple.

    Michael2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice cozy cottage with outdoor activities nearby. Host was welcoming and very responsive. It was cold and snowy but they provided extra heaters and shoveled. Very soft blankets!

    Robin2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet cabin close to Mt. St. Helens east entrance. While not a luxury stay, the cabin was clean and the beds very comfortable. The horses were a hoot. All in all a good value for the price.

    Karen2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. The location is perfect for quick/ easy access to the GP National Forest to the south. Michel was easy to work with. She was flexible with our plans, available when we needed her, yet gave us space when we wanted that too. Though it may not be a luxury resort, it's a perfectly adequate and comfortable place from which to explore the beautiful forest and rest up afterward. The horses in the neighboring pasture are friendly and will come up to see you. And the farm-fresh eggs and ground organic coffee waiting in the fridge (which were included with the rental) were a nice touch too! Would stay again.

    Jason 2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Simple and quiet. About as close to Mt. Ranier Nat'l Park as we could get, so it made our travel to Paradise easy the next morning. Michel's place was clean and organized. A bit bright in the morning, but I'm an early riser. No troubles cooking breakfast in the fairly well stocked kitchen. The fresh eggs waiting for us were great. Our daughter loved greeting her horse, True, in the morning. You can't go in the meadow with him, but he comes right over to the fence to say hi. Town is about a 5 minutes drive, so it's easy to get supplies if you need them.

Digital detox in our charming 100-year-old farmhouse on 21 acres, 10 minutes from the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, near Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier & White Pass. Four+ bedrooms, bath/shower, full kitchen, fire pit, trails & indoor/outdoor games.
Our city kids loved spending their weekends here while growing up. Made from first-growth timber from the turn of the century, the house is walled in restored vintage fir bead board, has built-in cabinetry and architectural details made from poplar. Warm and inviting, you will be charmed by the architectural details and antique furnishings. The four bedrooms will sleep 8 people. In a pinch, the living room sleeper sofa can accommodate another 1-2, and a tiny room upstairs with a day bed that can sleep one. There is a covered shed where additional people can camp out in sleeping bags during the summer. There is a vintage 1940 two-hole outhouse. Take a broom to remove the cobwebs! It's fun to pee outside! If you have a city dog, he or she will LOVE Randle. There are more than 20 acres where your pet can run free, without concern for cars. Please let us know if you plan to have your pet join you. We usually suggesting bringing bedding or a crate for your pet. This is a country house that our family has used for two decades. You are experiencing it the same way we do. Please treat it with care :)
Randle is a small town overlooking the Big Bottom Valley. The nearby Gifford Pinchot forest is a fecund environment where mushroom hunters find chanterelles and matsutake in the fall. During the winter, White Pass is a 40 minute drive to some great skiing and snowboarding. Nearby Cispus Center, Ape Caves and lakes for fishing and boating are an easy drive. At night the skies are studded with stars, and it's a great place to view the Perseid meteor showers in August. There is wildlife in the area. Coyotes can be heard in the distance. Elk walk through the property to the valley below. Deer graze in the meadows around the house. Black bears occasionally visit the area to forage. Bats feed on insects at dusk. Eagles and hawks can be seen hunting in the sky.
  • Charming historical farmhouse! Equally charming and warm hosts! Our group of 6 adults and 3 children couldn't have been more pleased with our Thanksgiving in the Horsefall House. Not only is the cozy home well outfitted with stylistic integrity, it's setting in the landscape couldn't be more magical. Weather permitting, be sure to spend some time on the front porch, perfectly situated on a bluff overlooking the the lush valley below. Terri is wonderful and extremely motivated to make sure her guests are happy. A++

    michael2014-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our host provided us with an individual to contact to get the key. We were shown how to get to the house. Terri was wonderful in being available.

    Carol2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Horsfall House was perfect for our friends getaway! It is an easy drive from both Portland and Seattle, yet you feel far away from the busyness of the city. Terri made it incredibly easy for us to check in and out and was quick to respond to my many e-mails. Its obvious they have put a lot of love into the home and we appreciated all the details and decoration. For 9 people it was comfortable but cozy. We made it out for day trips to both Rainier and St Helens, although we very well would have stuck around the house and enjoyed a fire or two. I'd definitely recommend this home for your gathering big or small.

    Elana2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • The property and house were beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay. Great views from the porch

    Tyler2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Terri's home really made my birthday weekend something special. She was really easy to communicate with and made me feel like family before I had even arrived. Terri gave me an in-depth orientation to the property and area before I arrived via phone, and this really helped me settle in and find what I needed. The house itself is incredibly cozy and perfect for small groups. Can't wait to return!

    Alex2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location - near the cute main business district of Randle (great diner, grocery store, etc.) and close to some amazing hikes! We loved exploring the property with our pup and enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch. There were quite a few flies trying to escape the cold, but the hand vacuum helped with that, and there was a little country mouse running around, but that was also expected. Some droppings hiding under the couch, in cabinets etc. but otherwise clean and cozy. A perfect escape from the city! Thanks for having us, Terri!

    katie2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Horsfall House provides just the right combination of peaceful surroundings and accommodations. The views are beautiful and the location, between Mt. Rainier NP and Gifford Pinchot NF, offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen functional, and there's plenty of space to read, relax, or enjoy a board game. Our family stayed four nights and we highly recommend Horsfall House to anyone interested in a beautiful, peaceful destination.

    Steve2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for just a night with my family. We enjoyed how easy it was to access on our way between Mt. Rainier and Mt. St Helens. We spotted a few Elk while walking on the trails behind the house, and again in the morning, when we watched a herd down in the valley while enjoying our breakfast. The house has the right balance of old and new. We loved looking at the antiques and reading about the history of the home. I definitely would love to have a longer stay sometime in the future.

Big Hat Farm is a legal cannabis farm operating under the medical cooperative laws of Washington State. We do not sell cannabis, but offer the experience of living and working on an outdoor cannabis farm through our Bed & Breakfast or campsite accommodations. All guests must be over 21. Located in the central Cascades (we are nestled between Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams), our secluded ten acres of paradise includes two crystal clear streams from underground springs; one featuring a waterfall and the other a pond made by an actual beaver dam. I guarantee that you have never tasted water this naturally pure. While on the property, guests can join in every aspect of living on a cannabis farm: Water, prune and care for the plants, help make clones, plant, harvest, even process the buds. Of course, all tasks are season dependent: Planting is expected late April and harvest will be mid-August through early October. No worries, there is always something interesting to do, learn or see at Big Hat Farm regardless of season. Check out our two huge fire pits, one by the house, one in the grove. Marvel at the giant stumps in the forest, or try gold panning in the creek. Our nights are dark dark, making stargazing a favored event. Book early for meteor showers, especially the Perseids in August. You can also relax in the contemplation room, looking out over the valley, while trying one of our many utensils for smoking, vaping, or dabbing cannabis products. Try the Gravity Bong, Fumo Pipe, Helix waterpipe, backpacking bong, Eyce bong, NectarCollector, old school dabber, double bubbler, triple-bubbler,and more; or roll a joint with pure cannabis papers and hike the fern trail to view the moss trees. Tire of crows? They are a rare sight at Big Hat Farm, the many hawks and eagles keep them away, allowing us to also see robins and finches and don't you dare forget to check out the woodpecker tree. If you get up early, you will likely see deer. We also share the forest with raccoons and porcupines, skunks and chipmunks. Coyotes, cougars and bears are known to be in the area, but have not been seen on the property. Big Hat Farm, on the cutting edge of cannabis tourism, is now taking bookings for our bed & breakfast and campsite accommodations. Book early for fantastic opening rates on a very exclusive experience. Please check us out on Facebook. Email inquiries to info@bighatfarm.com
We're located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains! We're surrounded by wildlife, lakes, and mountain streams. The town of Morton is located 3 miles from the farm.
  • We received a very warm welcome. Felt like we were staying with family. Everyone was really lovely.

  • Alida and Ryan are so kind. We have loved our stay there in a beautiful landscape. Alida and Ryan are very attentive and they made our stay wonderful ,

    olivier2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience (Matt and Dan) was phenomenal. It was everything we could have hoped for and more than we expected. Both Alida and Ryan are excellent hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. That never changed. Our only regret is not having timed our trip so it was a weekend stay in which we could spend time getting to know both Alida and Ryan. From the time spent in the contemplation room, to walking around the farm, to looking out into the stars on a PERFECT night with some of the freshest air we've taken in ..ever... to our own personal favorites -- for me, the crisp, natural, mountain water from the TAP. For Matt (my rother), the moist, perfect brownie treats. The experience even offered the perfect touch of a breakfast when we woke up to start our long day traveling/hiking around the Mountain. In addition to all of this, Alida and Ryan offered an amazing playlist of music that hit the spot while we hung out in the contemplation room, a very comfortable bed with great sheets/pillows/etc, the kindness to change our reservation from a one room queen to the room with two doubles, and the kicker which is not even advertised in the AirBandB -- the Basketball hoop in the driveway (we enjoyd our time shooting hoops for an hour) -- the whole experience was amazing and we wish we could have been there longer. Staying here with Alida and Ryan is something every traveler should experience as they make their way down or up the Pacific Northwest.

    Daniel2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our night with Alida and Ryan was great. We were treated to chocolate peanut butter bars and something to smoke and had plenty of time to explore their gorgeous property. A waterfall is located mere steps from the house and there is a wonderful guided map to explore the area. Definitely a place we could've stayed for more than one day and so many sites to see in the area. Really close to the entrance of a ton of national parks. Cinnamon rolls in the morning were amazing. Couldn't have been higher or happier.

    Dillon2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alida's place is offering a very unique and interesting experience! I very much appreciate them taking the time to answer all our questions about the operation and process. Also the cinnamon bun and egg breakfast was delicious.

    Jared2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality, fun experience, great breakfast, and incredible views.

    Colleen2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed a night at big hat farm. We arrived later than we hoped but both Ryan and Alida were responsive to our delay and welcoming when we arrived. Ryan even squeezed in an informative tour of the garden before it got dark. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great as well. Thanks for a great stay.

    Lisa2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were grateful to find a place within an hours notice and got a kick out of the cannabis theme. Curious to know how this wonderful home prospers with future colors and designs, an occasional stray calf to direct, and a great window view. Pets were a joy to meet and very polite. These easy going, soundtrack loving, art painting, animal guardian, cannabis friendly people were fun to talk to and were very welcoming. My hubby was able to play bass and enjoy the microbrew he brought as i learned quite a bit about the cycles plants experience and the tao of home plant care. Lovely glass of orange juice with coffee, teas and fresh spring water along with evening sweets and marvelous, melt-in-your-mouth morning muffins. Thank you!

  • We had a great time hot tubbing and walking on the river. Good kitchen with plenty of tools. We didn't make use of the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood provided. Remember to bring a headphone type audio cable for the sound system. Hope to come back for a longer stay.

  • This place was great. Exactly as it looks, maybe even better. Don't hesitate to stay here!

    Eric2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was within a 1 min drive from the park entrance and 5 minutes to the small town of Ashford. The cabin was beautiful and smelt like Christmas outside. After a long hike up the mountain, nothing beat the hot tub and the grill. The beds were also obviously upgraded to something that was very comfortable, which is quite odd for rentals. Note there's no air upstairs so windows open and doors open is the way to go.

    Brian2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay!!!!

    Melinda2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! Christy was very welcoming and accommodating, the place is the perfect place to come back to after a day exploring the national park.

    Joshua2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great cabin for our family. We especially loved the hot tub and the outdoor campfire. It is literally a stone throw away from the park gates which helps with multiple trips up (and down) the mountain.

    Tanveer 2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Buchanan's Bunkhouse was perfect! Christy was very helpful with all the information we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the house was charming and hot tub was amazing after a cold hike. Thanks again Christy!

    Stacy2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the Buchanan Bunkhouse. Excellent hot tub! We did lose power one evening and the generator was out of service. Christy had kindly organized a power outage kit with flashlights and lanterns but we lost running water too. Luckily the power came back the next day. Hopefully the generator will be fixed soon. Otherwise great experience!

Squirrel Run Cabin is located 5 minutes from the Mt. Rainier National Park SW/Nisqually Entrance. This is the Longmire/Paradise area. The cabin is in a forested, quiet area and offers privacy and seclusion so you can focus on couple or family time. There is a very quiet and private, fully fenced back yard. The grill, outdoor dining and hot tub area are all covered. The outdoor campfire area has comfortable seating. Full kitchen and bathroom.
119 Big Creek Road. This cabin is located on a quiet road in a forested area. The yard is private and the covered hot tub area is gorgeous. The neighborhood is very small and quiet with only a few cars going by each day.
Quiet area of other vacation cabins.
  • Wonderful place for our family getaway. It worked out great with our 2 kids and dog. The setting was beautiful.

  • Awesome place. Will definitely come back!

    Samuel2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This property was wonderful. The pictures don't do the back deck justice, it's huge and fully covered and offers a great outdoor space to relax in even in rainy PNW weather. The yard is fully fenced which made it great for our dogs. Communication with Tammi was easy and we had zero issues during our stay. we'd definitely stay again!

    Tara2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time at Squirrel Run - our host could not have done anything more to make our time here less than 100% relaxing! It was so quiet, and the place is a good size (we were 3 people), plus a great covered deck with hot tub (with lovely strings of lights) and plenty of chairs to lounge in, including swinging ones! Updated, clean, and with a few cute squirrel-themed things to give the place atmosphere. Very private. We were there in summer, but I bet it's even better (cozy!) in winter - we would book again if we came back to the area.

    Nicky2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, large covered area in back. Great location to Mt. Rainer.

    Brian2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect! It is in a perfect location close to the park. The hot tub and outdoor area are spectacular. Check in was seamless and easy. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • Great little getaway. Excellent location close to the park. Clean and quiet. Had a great time!

    Beth2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our experience at Squirrel Run. I really felt as though our host thought of everything to make it an enjoyable, comfortable experience. I personally loved the fact we didn't have cell service but just an FYI for other travelers. The house was lovely - two small but clean and beautifully decorated bedrooms. My fiancé who is 6'8" enjoyed the vaulted ceilings. I brought a whole bunch of cooking supplies/tools not knowing how the kitchen would be. But, everything I would have needed was there - pots, pans, coffee machine, kettle, etc. We were covered on the plates/glasses/cutlery front. Kitchen was small but perfect and I really enjoyed cooking there. We didn't make use of the BBQ but there was a nice one there. We also didn't make use of the indoor fire but I can only imagine how cozy and magical this place is in the winter. The outdoor space is so relaxing and we found ourselves there most of the stay. Cleverly designed cover for the outdoor dining area/hot tub with built in sky windows. We loved rocking on the hanging sofa/rocker and relaxing in the adirondack chairs. The hot tub was just what we needed - really made for 2 people. Perfect for us. Again, we didn't get much use out of it because of the heat. Full cable TV inside which we utilized. Really we just did absolutely nothing and enjoyed the space. Bathroom is simple but done very nicely and everything felt clean and comfortable. Games, books and puzzles in the drawers - again, a lovely touch. Overall, two thumbs up. Place had been done with a lot of love and you felt it - perfect place to unwind and connect with nature.

Graham's Getaway is just 5 miles from the Paradise Entrance of Mount Rainier and is in a beautiful, private setting! The cabin was rehabbed early 2017 and is just darling! It sleeps 4-6 people, has amazing decks on both sides of the cabin as well as a balcony, a completely updated interior and is dog friendly.
Graham's Getaway is nestled into 2 very private lots with a wooded forest directly behind it. There are wonderful decks, a fire pit area and newly rehab'd cabin for you to enjoy!
Graham's Getaway is in the Bavarian Retreat Association which is right next to Paradise Estates. A private area with little traffic. Everyone in the area is very friendly! Ashford is just a few miles down that road as well as restaurants and the Mt. Rainier. National Park.
  • What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Mount Rainier! The cabin is cozy and private with nice updates. There are lots of little "extra" touches that stand out, such as the motion sensitive lights on the steps. The location is ideal - minutes from the entrance to Mount Rainier, and also close to several restaurants. (We enjoyed Copper Creek.) Peggy was a wonderful host, and so incredibly responsive and helpful!

    Caroline2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised. Simple and cozy. Good value for the price.

    Jordan2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin in the woods very near entrance to Mt. Rainier. Basic, but comfy and clean. Was great for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 college kids) for a few days, although there was little privacy for changing clothes. Wasn't an issue for us, just something to consider. Host was friendly and responsive.

    Kellye2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I were honored to be the first guest at the Get Away. The location of the cabin is just amazing, minutes from the hot tubs at the magical Wellspring and the always amazing berry pie at Copper Creek, and more importantly the park entrance. The cabin was super clean and Peggy was the most communicative host I've ever had and very informative about the area. Even though the weather was a bit inclement, we stayed toasty warm in the Get Away. I recommend the cabin for anyone wanting to explore Paradise in Mt Rainer park.

    Rhonda2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Peggy was a great host. She Made sure my group was comfortable. Great location if you want to explore Rainier. Just wish I could have spent more time around the fire pit while I was there.

    Kristoffer2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! So quiet and cozy. We BBQ'd, roasted s'mores over a fire, enjoyed the lake within walking distance and more. There is so much stuff to do around there and the cabin was just what we needed to feel at home! Check in was a little hard only because we were trying to give the asked for 30 minutes notice when we got close but if you have T-Mobile there is no signal at all over there! We had to find local wifi to get in touch with the host and wait 15 minutes (not bad at all but of course would prefer no wait after a long drive). Besides that everything went as well as it could and we will definitely return!

    Paul2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommendable! This cabin is the perfect place if you want to visit mount rainier and go for hikes. It's cosy and clean, in the middle of the forest. We wish we could have stayed longer.

  • The home was cozy but spacious and VERY clean with new bathroom, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds (lots of extra blankets) and in safe area. Peggy was easy to reach and very accommodating. It was like visiting family! Highly recommend.

The place was spotless and welcoming, with a loaded fireplace ready to go! Perfect location just a couple of miles from a Mount Rainier National Park entrance. Our ugly little bunkhouse has seen many a friend and relative. It has 1 BR, bathroom, kitchenette, LR w/dining area and DVD. The space is incomplete and rough, but functional and professionally cleaned. Close, close, close to Mt Rainier! This is a self check in unit. Lockbox code is available after booking through airbnb.
One bedroom with queen bed, kitchenette which boasts a small full sized fridge and electric hot plate with confection oven/microwave for eating in or leftovers, full bathroom with shower (no tub), and living space with a futon that folds down to a double allowing room for a cozy two people, a cot and plenty of room for additional sleeping bags/blow up mattresses (not supplied). The heat is electric, no fireplace or woodstove in the bunkhouse. The wood pictured is for the main house. This space is rough and ready, but in the process of finish work. It is good enough for my daughter, parents, and best friend to be comfortable; but the price is based on ugly factor. Bon fire pit available when fire ban is not enforced, please let us know ahead of time if this interests you. Horse shoes are also available in the back.
We are 5 minutes from Mt Rainier entrance, hiking, fishing, and sheer beauty are just minutes away. Please note that some places may require NW pass or Discovery passes which are available at the local mini store. NW Trek is 30 minutes away. Horse rentals and canoe rentals 15 minutes up the road. So much to do!
  • Me and my girlfriend stayed at the bunkhouse for the weekend, and we loved the time spent there. Angela was really considerate with having left out towels and other essentials. We felt like they went out of their way into making the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet Angela or her husband during our time there, but we hope to visit again and meet next time. The location was spectacular. Mt. Rainier National Park was only a short drive away and was beautiful to visit. I would definitely recommend visiting this location.

    Octavio2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bunkhouse has a very comfy bed and the Guinea Hen that visited on the first night was a delight. The location was convenient to access Mt. Rainier. It was nice that Angela prepared plenty of spring water for us to drink. There are heater units in the family and bed rooms if needed.

    Wendy2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouse is in a wonderful quiet, peaceful location. My boyfriend (now fiance) and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It's super close to the Mt. Rainier National Park entrance and also close to the other local inns and restaurants. The hosts were super accommodating, making suggestions for specific sights to see and which restaurants to eat at. The hosts offered any equipment they had and also knew where we could rent equipment that they didn't have. I could not have anticipated a more perfect vacation. It was truly a majestic experience.

    Michelle2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • CUTE PLACE, VERY CONVENIENT TO MT. RAINIER NAT. PARK, GOOD VALUE

    Dennis2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouse exceeded our expectations! Definitely cozy, warm and clean. The hosts put a lot of effort into making this cabin feel like home away from home. The only issue we had during our stay was a lack of water on the morning of our departure. We were unable to use the shower, toilet, etc. After contacting the hosts we quickly received a response ensuring the issue would be fixed immediately. Unfortunately we had to leave before it was resolved. Great communication, would definitely stay again!

    Jonathan2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Angie responded quickly and answered all of our questions, making the check-in process extremely smooth. The Ashford area is beautiful and Angie's listing is right outside the national park. A perfect place for those seeking a cozy place to stay in close proximity to everything that Mount Rainier NP has to offer. The bunkhouse property and surrounding area is quiet and serene, an ideal place to relax and rest after hiking all day!

    Jordan2015-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for what we needed. There was more restaurants in area then we were expecting. Hooray. The bunkhouse was actually nicer than the pictures, which was awesome. It's perfect if you're going to Mt. Rainier.

  • Julie and Dennis's place was a great spot to stay for access to Mt. Rainier National Park. It was very easy to get to the entrance of the park and Paradise - where there is a large visitor center. The home was comfortable, and we loved the little kitchen for making sandwiches before heading out for a day of hiking. The bed was comfortable and the little creek behind the house was perfect white noise when we had the window cracked. We would definitely stay there again on another trip to Rainier!

  • The location was perfect. It was a 10-minute drive from the Rainier National Park. The cabin was everything and more. We love the games and movies provided as well as the comfort and layout of the cabin. In the beginning it was hard to get in the cabin and the host was hard to reach but once we got everything settled it went smoothly and better than planned. Would definitely recommend and go back

  • The Hudson Bay Chalet was a perfect home-base for snow-shoeing adventures on Mt. Rainier. • The location was fantastic for day trips to Mt Rainier National Park. The hot tub and brook were amazing features. The bed and sheets were very uncomfortable for us and some of the decor seemed a little cluttered. All in all a good weekend, with some modifications this place would be a perfect getaway!

  • We were very grateful for the experience of Teresa's cabin. There is a great atmosphere, the kitchen is well-stocked, and everything was very neat and tidy. It was a great place to be away from the "rush" of life. Our only complaint is the somewhat creaky bed.

The cabin is nestled at the end of a col-du-sac with lots of trees and privacy. There is one queen bed and one bath. Bathroom has heated tile floors and a plentiful amount of towels to bath or soak in the hot tub. There is a two person infrared sauna on the back porch. Sit and watch a movie next to the propane stove on the cozy sofa with a warm alpaca blanket. The cabin is located about five miles from the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park which offers tons of fun outdoor activities.
Privacy and convenient location for visiting Mount Rainier.
The cabin is part of the Paradise Estate community in Ashford. It's a quiet neighborhood with some permanent residence but mostly vacation homes for people living in the Seattle and Tacoma areas.
  • A great little cabin right off the highway and right next to the national forest. Sauna and hot tub were great to relax in, and the stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook all our meals at home in between hikes and plunges in local swimming holes. Everything together made for a wonderful vacation.

  • We had a great stay at Luke & Amelia's comfortable, rustic cabin. We had a small mixup at check in which was remedied immediately and we were able to settle right in. The cabin is tucked away at the end of the cul de sac, and the minute you pull in the driveway you feel totally secluded. While cell service is limited (yeah!!) the wifi was fast and we were able to stream the Bronco game easily. The cabin is well equipped for cooking, tons of pots and pans and a nice grill on the deck. The bed in the loft is very comfortable and we had no trouble with the wood stove warming the whole place with just a couple logs. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from Mt Rainier NP and the town of Ashford, which has a couple restaurants and stores if you need anything. The hot tub is clean and very private. We had a great time!

    Sarah2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to mount rainier which worked out well for us. Close enough to all other things but private enough to feel like you're in the woods. Very quick responses from host as well as very accommodating. We most certainly hope to come back during summer. Highly recommend.

    Aron2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect little cabin for a weekend retreat! I booked this as a surprise getaway for my boyfriend's birthday and was pleased to see it was even better than the pictures provided. The bed was super comfortable and even though you are close to a road, it was very quiet outside and still felt like we were fairly secluded. My boyfriend also loved the extensive climbing book collection (that was a nice little bonus I wasn't aware of!) The cabin was stocked with anything you could possibly need aside from the food itself. We both agreed we would love to stay here again next time we take a trip to Mt. Rainier!

    Megan2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cabin! Would Highly recommend to anyone looking to get out of city & relax !

    Abby2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and nice place. Very secluded except for the main road that you come in on. Right next to the mountian. We had a lot of fun bouncing up the mountain and looking at its beauty. House was very well provided for. At one point we lost power due to a wind storm and there was more than a substantial amount of firewood to keep the house warm. Would stay here again. Thanks Luke and Amelia!

  • We had a great stay at this property. It is in a wonderful location if you are planning on going to Mount Rainier. It was also nice after a long day to be able to come home and relax in the hot tub.

  • The cabin was clean and cozy with great amenities like the hot tub. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything needed to make great meals. The sleeping accommodations were great--comfortable and relaxing. The proximity to the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier park is ideal.

Sit by the fire and enjoy a cold one and maybe a s'more or two. **Don't forget to stop by Double T Meats in Eatonville and pick up a couple steaks to grill on the propane BBQ grill. Scrabble, backgammon, cribbage board, etc. All you'd ever need to enjoy your stay at Mt. Rainier!
The cabin is located within the Paradise Estates community.
  • Erika's place was great. Great local for visiting Mt Rainier National Park. Easy drive from SeaTac. Recently re-done inside of cabin is really nice. We really enjoyed our short weekend trip there. Comfortable bed and couch. Nice TV. Wifi. Grill. Indoor and outdoor fire place. Well furnished with everything you need. All in all, I'd recommend! Thanks Erika.

  • Erika & Tye's place was close to Ashford and we loved the place - very comfortable and well outfitted for a fantastic stay. Thanks!

    Josh2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at Erika & Tye's place. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. A great location for our weekend hiking Mount Rainier. Next time we plan to visit the park we will definitely stay here again.

    Christopher2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so beautiful. We absolutely loved it and so conveniently located, can't beat it.

    Kelly2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Tye and Erika's cabin is everything you'd expect and more! It's secluded and quiet, but close to the little town of 200 in Ashford. It's very conveniently located, for exploring the southwestern part of the Park! Only about 5 miles from the park's entrance. You'll want to stock up on your provisions and gas before you reach Ashford however. The town only has a convenience store. Tye's recommendation for "Double T Meats", in Eatonville, was spot on! Awesome! There are only a couple of restaurants & bars, in town, but very good and friendly. Don't come expecting a lot of nightlife or entertainment. Come for the Majestic beauty of the park and the quality R & R, at Tye & Erika's! The Garage, as the cabin is called, is super comfy & well appointed. The down filled sectional, large flat screen, and Netflix and Amazon selections (no cable), make for a relaxing atmosphere after a day of hiking and exploring! Wifi signal is great. We did not have Cell service, but that might've been AT&T. Was actually a blessing! Lol Linens, pillows, and bed are all 5 star! Kitchen is well outfitted for cooking in! Our only regret, is that we didn't have stay longer! So much to see & do!

    Mimi2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved returning to Erika and Tye's place! We love the wood stove and appreciate the ample kitchen. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is neat.

    Peter2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erika and Tye were excellent hosts for this very clean, comfortable and inviting cabin just a few miles from the park entrance. Timely and helpful communication before, during and after our short stay. Great written instructions and suggestions. Wonderfully appointed space. Everything worked well and felt welcoming. It was a great sleep on a very nice bed in a peaceful, quiet setting. Highly recommend their unique property to others.

  • Kathy was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was very clean and she even provided lists of nearby restuarants and shops incase you need to rent any hiking gear. My girlfriend and I had a great time and we would defiantly stay there again!

    Jared 2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was great. Although it was not advertised, there was a nice barbecue too! So quiet and peaceful there, we were able to completely relax. And cottsge was very clean. Thank you so much.

    Mary2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible cabin! The incredible beauty of creation surrounds you at Kathy's cabin in Ashford. The place is almost a tiny house but our party of 5 were very comfortable. The hot tub was a great place to spend some time after hiking up to Comet Falls on Mt Rainier. We spent two nights here as part of a 15 day road trip from Seattle to LA and it was everyone's favorite place. If I get back to Washington I would be glad to stay here again.

    Jimmy2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the cabin with our 14 month old daughter. Place is great for toddlers. The hot tub was heavenly, kitchen well stocked, and decor amazing. There were plenty of DVDs and other games as well. Great location to the park and Ashford was a cute town. We'd come again!

    Jessica2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely one bedroom house for small families located in a very quiet neighborhood with plenty of wildlife minutes from the entrance to Mt Rainier. The kitchen is a bit tight but has very clean, newer appliances. There is a small loft the kids really enjoyed as their own space (although it wasn't necessary for them to sleep there since there are two fold out sofa beds). We saw a small herd of deer only steps away. The hot tub was clean, very hot and secluded. We would definitely come again.

    Brenna2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place was extremely cozy. It was also immaculate. Everything was as advertised, and Kathy went above and beyond. When we arrived, there was no carafe in the coffee maker; in a couple hours, she delivered a brand new coffee machine to our doorstep. The bedroom was quite comfortable, and throughout the house, there were tons of little decorations themed with bears, which we found adorable.

    Konstantin2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so much nicer than I expected! Very lovely space and decor with new bathroom and appliances. Perfect size for two people but you could definitely fit a few more comfortably by use of the loft and the living room space. The cabin was very cozy and warm - and the hot tub was phenomenal. We were unable to make a fire outside due to the rain but there is a nice fire pit in the back. Netflix and Wifi was great to have use of, and you are only a few minutes drive from a couple cute restaurants/inn nearby as well as only a 10 minute drive to Mt.Rainer National Forest. Had an excellent stay and would come again!

Enjoy the stunning views of Osborne Peak right outside the front window, or while grilling on the spacious porch. Outdoor enthusiasts love our home because of access to Rainier and hiking trails. Indoorsy folks enjoy the relaxing ambiance and seclusion. Cook your favorite meal in the full-service kitchen and end the day with a glass of wine around the cozy firepit! You won't want to leave.
The home is set on a high plateau, giving you great views of the surrounding neighborhood and Mt. Osborne, which makes this property unique. Inside, you'll find a clean and organized refuge from all of that nature!
The home is located in Paradise Estates, a laid-back community in Ashford. Try all the local eats like the Highlander (you'll see all the mountain guides here during Rainier season), the Wildberry Restaurant for Himalayan fare, and Copper Creek Restaurant for the town's best burgers.

Enjoy our family cabin in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, located just outside the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. It's a short walk to the glacially-fed Nisqually River, where you can stroll along the levee. Enjoy everything Mt.Rainier has to offer and come back to a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.
Our cabin is modest but warm and inviting, with an open common room featuring a wood stove, as well as a kitchen and large dining table. Also downstairs is a private bedroom with queen bed, TV room with pull-out futon, and full bath. Upstairs, you'll find a large common loft with four single beds, as well as a private suite with two connected sleeping spaces, one with a double bed and one with a child's bed, and a half bath. Outdoors there is a picnic table and fire pit. The hot tub is a bit quirky to use but works great and is easily accessed on the back porch, with fencing for privacy. The gas grill is available seasonally May-October. Wood for the fire pit and/or wood stove is on the porch, or use the electric heat in case you don't wish to use the wood stove. The kitchen has a small oven with stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, sink, and all the basics you'll need for cooking and eating, including a coffee pot and wine glasses. We provide towels and bedding, and essentials such as dish soap, sponge, hand soap, body wash/shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels. There is also a small washer and dryer in the utility room.
Riversong Retreat is located in the small, wooded community of Nisqually Park, just outside the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Many homes in the neighborhood are used for vacation getaways. The neighborhood road is paved. The neighborhood borders the Nisqually River.
  • The location is great - just outside the Nisqually gate to Mt. Rainier. The cabin is modest, but very clean, comfortable and well set-up for multiple people. We stayed with four adults and four children (between 5 years and 8 months). The cabin is close to the river and in a quiet neighborhood, so plenty of opportunity for the little ones to explore.

    Daniel2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow - we had a really wonderful stay. This cute little cabin has so much character and is so warm. A big open table that works well for a large group and easily sleeps everyone as well. We didn't even touch the tv! Too busy cuddled up by the fire, exploring the park (which is less than a .2 mile drive from the entrance) and walking the nisqually river. The hot tub was a great addition too! A perfect weekend getaway that was clean, comfortable and so welcoming. Much appreciated was the info binder with all the need to know details! Will definetly stay again next year!

    caitlin2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here! The space was clean and comfortable and well decorated and there were plenty of towels, dishes, firewood, etc. for seven of us to use all weekend. Only thing it was short on for larger size groups was chairs - we couldn't all sit at the table together for meals or board games, but there is a couch and two bar stools at the counter, so we made it work. Lilith was prompt in replying to all my emails and questions and seemed really laid back. Unfortunately the snow had all melted and it only rained, but it's a short drive to Rainier so we were able to go find snow at higher elevations in about a 20 minute drive. Overall a really fun location for a winter weekend getaway, and I can imagine it would be great in the summer, too.

    Cari2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This home was in a PERFECT location - very close to the entrance of the park, and a very short walk down to the river, where we took the kids to play. The space was beautiful and there were tons of bedrooms for our large group. We also really enjoyed the hot tub!

    Jessie2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this listing. The place was conveniently within a few minutes drive to the Mt Rainier park entrance. We cooked ourselves and had everything we needed to make wonderful dinners together. At night, we toasted s'mores and enjoyed the many board games that were set out. Note: the wifi was slow but it worked, and the hot water ran out rather quickly. However, these were minor inconveniences that did not bother us too much. Overall, we would stay here again!

    Ying2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place is right at Mt. Rainier's doorstep. It makes for easy early mornings into the park. It is comfortable and well equipped.

  • The place was new, very clean, and nicely decorated. Nice appliances, body wash/shampoo available, and comfy beds. The Kodiak pancake mix with real maple syrup was a hit in the AM. The hot tub was also great after a long hike during the day (properly treated). The internet cut out on us, but I was able to reach the host via phone and quickly resolve the issue. The hosts left complimentary wine, which we also really appreciated. If you're looking for a great, secluded place near Paradise hiking spots, look no further.

  • Beautiful home and very helpful and responsive host. The best combination! Very nice living room with two-story high ceiling and lovely wooden floor. We stayed there with 2 small kids (3 and 7), each slept in their own room on first floor, and parents in upper mezzazine room. The bath tub on second floor is very practical for the kids. Location is great, completely isolated from neighbors, and the kids loved seeing deer, rabbits and other wildlife just outside the window from the living room! Two improvement suggestions for Tanya despite our great stay: - make sure the keylock code is readily available and communicated ahead of the arrival of guests, especially because cell coverage is absent - perhaps add a small microwave oven? Makes it easier for short stays where we're not necessarily planning to use the oven for cooking Thanks again Tanya for the stay and for being so responsive when communicating through the app. We would love to come stay again.

Welcome to Maison de Montagne, our charming little house in the Mountains; where you can get away from it all and have it all, at the same time. Breathtaking vistas, a rushing river, tall trees a cozy cabin with AC, high speed internet, Digital TV, new bedding, new leather furniture, new appliances, wood burning stove, hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, front and back decks with nice furniture, a covered wood shed for storage of outdoor toys, and too much more to mention.
We are on a lovely wooded lane above the Cowlitz River, just 2-3 minutes from Packwood, 20min from White Pass, near the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Minutes from hiking trails, fishing, close to skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and near the entrance to Mt. Rainier Nat.Park. Our well-stocked kitchen includes full size a sink, coffee pot, microwave, appliances, pots, dishes, silverware, glassware, stocked spice rack, utensils. All the amenities you need to enjoy a getaway.
  • Fantastic place, really nicely kept home that was very cozy but had plenty of room. Great location just outside the park and right in town, but far enough out to see the stars and Mt. Rainier in all its glory. kitchen had everything we needed, wood burning stove was perfect and the hot tub was such a nice thing to enjoy at the end of the day. Great place to stay and was as much of a highlight as going to the park itself, hope to be back soon!

  • This is the perfect cabin to rent for four people or less close to Packwood, Wa. with Mt. Rainier and the Goat Rocks nearby if you hike like we did. The Cowlitz River is within walking distance with eagles flying over, views of the Tatoosh Mtn. range and Mt. Rainier from the front. Enjoyed the hot tub and wood stove. Kitchen is well stocked with all you will need. Gas BBQ on the back deck ready to use. I only wish there was a light to see better. We used our headlamps.

    Mary Jane2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • There are multiple locations on the property to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Our favorite spot was the hot tub with the view of Mt Ranier. We stayed at the property in the fall and used the wood burning stove to keep warm and relax by. It really added to the charm and ambiance of the cabin. This host goes it if her way to make sure anything you might need for day to day living is accessible in this rental. We wanted for nothing. If we did need food items or wanted to eat out there were restaurants and a grocery store less than five minutes away. The host was accessible through text throughout our stay and was quick with a response if we reached it to her. The linens were high quality and there were plenty of DVD's and games in the house to provide entertainment on the quiet nights. It was truly a relaxing experience. We would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Quite the bargain as well.

  • Nice little cozy cabin. My family enjoyed our stay and liked the quietness of the location.

    Travis2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place and hope to come back! Walking distance from everything in town--close to our favorite hikes in Mt Rainier, too! Loved the hot tub and comfy beds. Maximillia was very communicative and accessible. Thanks for a great stay!

    Agatha2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were very pleased with Maximillia's cabin. It was clean and tastefully decorated. Everything met our expectations. The setting is semi-rural with lots of trees and the sound of the creek nearby. We really liked the quiet. The hot tub is very relaxing, and the fog at night made the setting very cozy and romantic. We would highly recommend Maximillia's cabin for a quiet retreat. Five stars!

    Geoff2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfectly cozy place to stay, especially with the wood stove warming up the place as the weather outside got colder. Very convenient to all areas of Mount Rainier NP. We took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen as well as nearby restaurants and our host was very helpful and a real pleasure to work with. Thanks and we'll definitely be back!

    James2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Maximillia's place! The house is very close to Mt. Rainier and you even get a view of the mountain from the house. The house itself was really cozy and a lovely mountain get-away. It was perfect for my parents and me. Maximillia was a great host - providing all the information we needed before we arrived. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely remember it for my next trip out to Washington!

  • Sadly, we can't say we'd recommend this cabin. Although nice, clean & modern- many of the appliances did not work properly. The kureg coffee maker was not working (the only way to make coffee), the oven stopped working in the middle of cooking dinner (error read "feature not available"), the hosts provided an incorrect password for their WIFI (which left us unable to reach out to them with the issues) & the shower on the main floor did not have working hot water. The is no cell service in this area & no land line. So, without wifi (which we needed for work & family communication) we felt stranded. There was no trouble shooting info on how to fix simple issues with the appliances. The cabin runs on propane & we guessed that was the issue, but didn't feel comfortable putzing around with it without guidelines. We are Airbnb (super) hosts in Seattle & have hosted nearly 2,000 people in the last 4+ years. We found the interaction with the hosts to be un-friendly & odd. We travel & stay with Airbnb exclusively & this has been the strangest experience we've had to date. Despite the few issues, we planned to leave a great review, until we tried to reach out to the hosts to help with refunding a bit (note: we asked for one nights stay refund, not the full stay) of our stay- since we were left without properly operating appliances. They noted, it's not their fault nor their problem (since we didn't contact them the day of the incident). We chose this cabin for a company retreat with our hardworking chef staff. We spent most of our time troubleshooting the problems in the cabin & we're left disappointed. They informed us that their caretaker noted that all the issues we had were confirmed to be in working order when the caretaker cleaned. I'm curious to know if he/she cooked a meal & actually made a cup of coffee? The hosts informed us that the caretaker said we left the hot tub "dirty". There were 7 of us using it multiple times throughout our stay - I'm sure we did, as high volume use tends to leave all sorts of skin oils, etc behind. We didn't notice the water to be any more "dirty" than upon our arrival. A couple of things to note about the cabin: -Beautiful location -Newly finished -Clean beds & lounge area -welcome bottle of wine upon check-in -Modern finishes -Helpful list of things to do and amenities in town -one strayed log to get the indoor fire going -24 hour check-in, which we loved since we were unsure of our arrival time. -Master bedroom is not very private (glass door, not curtain to cover it) -Many windows did not open not had no covers to block out the morning sun. -Hosts supply a ton of pre-check in information (much of which lets you know what you'll be charged if something goes wrong! "Don't...

  • This cabin was awesome! It was perfect for us (2 couples) looking for a quiet hangout near Mt Rainier. We hiked - and appreciated the hiking guidebook in the cabin - and had a great time. We all agreed the cabin was super clean, well stocked and made us feel welcome. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. Wonderful hosts!

  • Danny and Kristy's Elk Run Lodge is a lovely home-away-from-home. It is clean and spacious and was the perfect place for our family of 6 to return to each night after exploring the local area. The information they provided before check-in was extensive and so very useful. The house is so convenient to the main street of town and the river, and the drive to Mt Rainier National Park is just gorgeous.

    Emily2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this Airbnb. Was very convenient to Packwood, extremely clean, spacious, and modern. Would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of curtains on the upstairs bedroom door and windows for privacy. Overall a lovely stay.

    Jackie2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this Airbnb! It's clean and well-furnished and the kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, pots, and pans. The house is a short drive away from town, which made shopping convenient. It's also close to many great hiking trails of all levels. The hot tub is a nice bonus, too!

    Anita2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend for a family or two for a white pass ski getaway. The house is only 25 minutes from the ski area in a nice neighborhood. The house was clean and spacious and stocked with all the right amenities. The kids loved the bunk beds, hot tub, and wild elk walking through the front yard. We plan on coming back.

  • Cute cabin in a great location for hiking. Loved our trip!

  • The Chalet was charming, very clean, and in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area for a weekend.

  • Alpine Chalet was wonderful! Clean, no hassles and the house was beautiful! We loved our stay.

    Tanya2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and clean. No place really close to walk too.

    Lori2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a neighborhood. The home itself had an open living area which is nice for bigger crowds. Pets are allowed, which is a huge plus in my book. The weekend we stayed was very hot (90 degrees) and Bob provided an AC and a couple of fans. It was still very hot, but one does not expect to have ACs in the PNW. There is a hot tub too, but nearby river was more appealing at the time. The bathrooms were clean and the towels were fresh. Lots of bowls and plates and glassware. Bring your own spices, sauces, foil and etc. The only downside was the amount of cleaning we had to do for check out. Running the dishwasher, stripping beds, (suggestions of starting laundry) hanging towels, and taking out all the garbage. Also, no recycling. Apparently there is no place to do it.

    Farzeen2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in the Alpine Chalet in Packwood! The cabin is so close to the Mt. Rainier National Park entrance and the town area. It is located in a small town (though seems to be one of the biggest in the area). There are limited restaurant/shop options, however, we did love all the restaurants we tried! (Especially Josie's Family Restaurant & Mountain Goat Coffee!). The hot tub was great to relax in after a long day of travel, though sadly we did not get to enjoy the great outdoor fire pit area due to a local burn ban in effect. There were very thorough instructions provided prior to check-in/in the cabin which made us a little apprehensive to truly settle in. We didn't mind completing the check-out list (which took only about 20-30 min), but were just nervous about missing anything.

Cozy 900 sq/ft One bedroom with large loft cabin. Ski White Pass only 25 minutes away and the town of Packwood less than 1 1/2 miles makes this the perfect weekend getaway. High-speed Internet, 50 inch big screen TV, Weber bbq, Treager Smoker and a nice open kitchen to living room is very nice. Very popular rental.
Nice quiet neighborhood 1 1/2 miles from town but has a feeling that you're farther away. Only 25 minutes from White Pass Ski Resort. In town there is the local Blantons Market, Butter Butte coffee and Pastry, Cruisers Pizza, Josie's Italian Restaurant and The Blue Spruce. All of these are within walking distance.
This neighborhood is very friendly and can walk trails practically out the back door. We walk all the time down to the river for our exercise. Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend are big up here with swap meets and the auction. Car shows are on the weekends during the summer. Mt Ranier National Park entrance is only 25 minutes from the cabin.
  • Amazing cabin close to Packwood, yet secluded for a quiet stay. Great front porch and area out back to spend time outside. We loved the surround sound to play music, and the kitchen was very modern. Great location for hiking.

  • Love this old forest station. Great fire pit and BBQ. Range Station #2 cute little space --- great for 3-4. Functional kitchen. Nice living room. Bedrooms charming. Up to date and nice bathroom. Walking distance to main town of Packwood yet private.

  • The house was a great place to relax after a long day of hiking, it was really well stocked with everything you might need to make your meals and it had beautiful linens. The hosts were wonderful and the love for their property was evident. We were able to walk to everything that Packwood had to offer. The grocery store in town was really well stocked and the Coffee shop was great. This historic house was updated and very clean. We really appreciated being able to do our laundry onsite. Rainier was only about a 20 minute car ride and there were other great hikes even closer. (Always thinking of my elder friends): For guests with difficulty getting up and down stairs perhaps it would be best to sleep on the couch. For the spry it's a non issue, older homes such as this have a steep grade. Wonderful, can't wait to come back with the kids next year!

    Melody2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • My parents and I had a wonderful stay at the little ranger house in Packwood. The living area and kitchen are surprisingly spacious. We loved watching the elk graze in the backyard. Spectacular scenery wherever we went. Grilling kabobs, s'mores by the firepit and sightseeing. Would love to visit again!

    Kevin2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect cabin for a weekend getaway from Seattle! It was perfectly located so we could walk to the town, and it was a short drive to hike Packwood Lake. We also hiked the Naches Peak Loop which we highly recommend. Tracy thought of everything, from wood for the fire pit to ingredients to make our own s'mores. We even saw a whole family of elk by the house which was very exciting. Thanks for a great weekend!

    Nancy2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's like a step back to visiting your grandparents staying in this cabin - a real historical place. But it has the important amenities of modern living - a really good wifi connection and a lovely comfortable queen bed. The hosts are working hard to renovate the whole group of buildings of Packwood Station, which they acquired as derelict 7 years ago.

    Marion2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and clean...well appointed, and comfy beds! Excellent location, super close to the town, close to Mt. Rainier, White Pass and great hiking. The hosts are very accommodating and kept is well supplied with firewood:) Highly recommend this place as well as the Mountain Goat Cafe for fresh baked goods and espresso, and the Blue Spruce for a little local nightlife!

  • The cabin was as pictured and our experience excellent overall. The view of the mountain was awesome and getting snowed on while relaxing in the hottub was out of this world. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Jordan was quick and informative with his communication and my friends and I had no problem finding the place (excellent directions) or any problems throughout our stay.

    Isaac2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jordan's secluded, beautiful cabin is like a Pendleton ad for the PNW. Everything feels so cozy about it, including the shaggy carpet. There were plenty of boards games and a great selection of movies to watch.

    Kaleigh2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of our best accommodations throughout our US trip. All perfect for a family of four!

    Jerome2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with a few friends for a post-backpacking birthday getaway - this cabin is fantastic. Cozy, comfortable, with a huge deck, nice hot tub, and incredible view of Rainier. I've stayed here before and will likely stay again, it's my favorite spot in Packwood!

    Kym2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised the back deck has an extraordinary view of Mt. Rainier. There is no ATT phone or internet service but the wifi at the home and at the grocery store in Packwood is adequate. The hot tub is 103 degrees with jets and lights that work well. There is no air conditioning but we slept with the upper doors and windows open and were comfortable. The grocery store is adequately stocked. There are restaurants but we ate in the cabin. Access to Rainier is convenient and don't miss the hike from the nearby campground to Silver Falls stopping at the hot springs to cure aching ankles. Comfortable and convenient for our purposes.

    Elmer2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Jordan's cabin for two days with a relatively large camping group (8 people). Even though we had a lot of people, the cabin is spacious with a nice kitchen/breakfast nook, a living room, and a very nice deck, and huge rooms. We never felt cramped or crowded. The cabin is outfitted with all your basic necessities, including a grill and hot tub, so it's everything you need all in one place! The area is quite beautiful, with a nice view of Mount Rainier right off the back deck. Unfortunately, due to low cloud cover during our stay, we weren't able to enjoy the view that much, though we did see the mountain now and then. The neighborhood was very quiet, and Packwood, the closest town, had shops and stores in case we needed anything. The cabin is secluded but only a 5 min drive from town. Being off the beaten path, you might have a difficult time getting a cellular signal, and may want to print off hard-copy directions and other information (the cabin comes with wifi so that was not an issue).

    Anoria2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin, as described

    Kai2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at our stay at the cabin. Jordan was very organized and able to answer any questions we had. His welcome packet was detailed and easy to follow. The views are breathtaking and Mt. Rainier is visible right out back, if the sky is clear. The hot tub is a must and the hiking trails are all around. Highly recommend!
