  • I want to say Thankyou for a lovely visit and to have access to your personal land with the caravans on. Everything was just perfect and I really cannot wait to visit again, I would highly recommend visiting to all my family and friends! We enjoyed a lovely glass of Cava in the evening with warm blankets and snacks before bed, and used the kitchen facilities to cook a English breakfast! I have some wonderful pictures of your dogs and cats, they absolutely loved my little Sister, they wouldn’t leave her alone the entire visit! The dogs loved placing fetch with a stick, and also knocked for us to come and play with a stick in their mouths at 9am this morning! Lovely dogs! Lovely touch with the milk, sauces, shampoo, conditioner and lots more!! Thanks again! P.s thanks again for keeping hold of the bits we didn’t spot when packing away! Amy x

  • Great property. Clean and tidy. All you need for a home from home. To arrive after a 5 hour drive and have the basics in place (tea, coffee, milk and sugar) so you can just come in and put the kettle on, that’s service. Property has great views over the valley and out to sea. The area is rural and very peaceful. Only a 5 minute drive to Zipworld which was handy. Will definitely be going back in the summer when the weather will hopefully be better.

  • This place looks exactly as pictured and the little amenities were great touches that were quite thoughtful like full bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. It's a nice quiet location so great to be able to chill and then head out to wherever you plan to visit. Andrea was a brilliant host, she responded very quickly to my messages and helped us with handy tips on where to visit. Definitely recommend.

  • Absolutely superb. We had so much fun and, having stayed in North Wales before, was a superb location. Mountains at the rear for my mountain bikers and peaceful outlook. BBQ hut amazing!! Superb hosts and the place incredibly comfortable! Stayed here with my partner and two big teenage boys (with bikes). Great size.

Great views, fantastic walking and cycling in Snowdonia National Park, close to Llanberis, Caernarfon, Anglesey and the beautiful North Wales coast. Great for couples and small families. The annex is in a quiet rural area with outstanding views, stepping straight out into the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Originally a Welsh Long Barn, this is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Renovated to a very high standard, full of history and character but modern and functional. The lounge is dominated by a wonderful original fireplace, now equipped with a large wood burning stove. The exposed beams and full height ceiling, with additional windows, provide a bright, comfortable space. There is also underfloor heating and a backup electric radiator. In the lounge there is a sofa bed that could be used for additional guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large patio window that looks out to the patio area and beautiful countryside beyond. The bedroom is in the roof space with large windows that again make the most of the view. The bed is a double bed. There are large glazed panels that provide a view back to the lounge and roof windows that again make the space bright and comfortable. There is a separate, lockable store area for wet goods/ bicycles etc.
The accommodation is on the edge of Clwt-Y-Bont - a small village. There are no properties overlooking Cae Rhedyn and so it is very peaceful. Outstanding walking from the doorstep.
  • Gorgeous place in a gorgeous setting with lovely hosts - highly recommended. What’s not to love?!

    Emma2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, wonderful location. Spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful touches. Tim and Liz are great hosts and we will definitely be going back.

    Alex2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say about this beautiful little spot. It’s everything you could ever want for a peaceful, stunningly beautiful break. The accommodation is awesome, and really cosy and super warm with the log burner going. We came to the area to walk in the snowdonia Park. But behind the Annex is a great little rugged area to explore with the dog, with streams and lots of wonderful welsh countryside. Tim has been spot on with all communication, and it was wonderful to find some little touches when we arrived such as welsh cakes, milk, eggs and bread. We will certainly be back!!!!!! It’s perfect.

    Sarah2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Peace and tranquillity. Clean, cosy, comfortable. Very private location with great scenery, gentle local walks, and the coast and drama of Snowdonia within a few miles. Having said this, except for a couple of early morning forays round the local lanes, we didn't budge from in front of the open fire, reading and doing jigsaws, stroking Charlie the ginger cat. Would return and would highly recommend.

    Michelle2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a visit to Snowdonia Park. I visited with two friends and we had plenty of space in a great old place. Pete was very welcoming. I would definitely visit this place again.

  • Linda’s place is the perfect Air B and B to experience the true beauty of Snowdonia. We have stayed with Linda on every trip to snowdonia (except one where she was fully booked which is great!) We can’t picture snowdonia without Linda’s cottage. The rustic homely vibe is what is needed with beautiful scenery, a very close car park, great local tips and much more! The log fire will keep you warm all through your trip as well as provided heaters. Linda is always quick to respond and always happy to answer questions, we’ll be back next year for our annual trip to snowdonia and to Linda’s cottage!

  • This AirBnB is perfect stopping point for travellers of North Wales. It's a simple, aesthetic and cozy setup with all your amenities and little in the way of distractions. Clearly a lot of effort has been put into it to make it welcoming and homely! Also it was a very no-nonsense process of getting the keys to the building which, after a long drive, is much appreciated.

  • Lovely cosy place. House is nestled in amongst a lot of others (be prepared for the narrow roads getting to it). The open fire is gorgeous and makes for a lovely treat after a day out. Place is really peaceful- lack of tele is a great call (WiFi is excellent). Short distance from Zipworld- very handy. Thanks Ged

  • What a lovely little cottage, such a beautiful space - would highly recommend!

  • Great place to stay, very close to Snowdonia and beautiful cottage

    Nico2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ged's cottage is a wonderful place to stay for a trip to Snowdonia Nationalpark. The cottage is located in a little village with a small shop and a pub, and has easy access to walks in the mountains and good connection with busses to Bangor. We really loved staying in the cottage. It is cosy, stylish and has all the facilities, you need. Ged is a very nice and considerate host. I highly recommend staying in his cottage, if you're going on a trip to the area.

This is a lovely twin room in a spacious house, on the outskirts of Tregarth village. Option of a 3rd mattress on the floor. The shared bathroom is close to the bedroom and the kitchen is available for tea and coffee, along with fridge space. Simple breakfast (cereal and toast) is available. The house is home to us, our son and our Jack Russel. Off road parking is available. Garden available for sunny evenings, or evening fires. Cycle track, cafe and a pub (no food) all within a 5 minute walk.
The spacious house is on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, and close to Zipworld, and other attractions. Anglesey is a short drive away. We are very close to the cycle track and a network of lovely footpaths. Pick up and drop off for the North Wales and Anglesey Coast path can be provided by prior arrangement. We have several walking, climbing, wild swimming and cycling guides and maps which you are welcome to borrow. We also have an acoustic guitar that you are welcome to use.
The area is very green, with trees and hills. There is a good bus service in to Bangor and the Ogwen Valley is a 5 minute drive away. The cycle track (Lon Las Ogwen) leads to Bangor in one direction and to Idwel Cottage (up the Ogwen valley) in the other. The area is a particularly good base for the attractions of Snowdonia and Anglesey, as well walking, climbing and water sports.
  • Would definitely stay again if that way, felt like a home from home.

    Anita2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I've had another pleasant stay with Ben and his family. I found everyone to be warm and welcoming as usual and I was even taught how to play backgammon! :)

    Chris2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I've had another pleasant stay at Ben's. It works well for me whilst I'm working in Bangor for a few days a week. The room is quiet - both from internal and external noise - Ben and his family make me feel welcome, the place is clean and comfortable, and we've yet to have any bathroom clashes. This is my third stay at Ben's and I'm planning on returning again, that in itself tells you a lot about the place and the hosts.

    Chris2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Ben's house. As with the previous stay, everyone in the household was friendly and made me feel welcome. The hosts provided more local knowledge of places where I could eat, factoring in my restrictive dietary choices. The bedroom is comfortable and quiet. Overall this is a nice place to stay

    Chris2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed another night at Ben and Jude's. Great hospitality as usual. Had a good rest. Others should take the room without hesitation. I'm a European certified assessor of quality. This place is good.

    Russell2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I found Ben to be friendly, warm, and welcoming. Ben gave me some good tips on where to eat locally. The bedroom was spacious and comfy and at night it was dark and quiet which was conducive to a good night's sleep

    Chris2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Jude have a really nice place. Hospitality was excellent. The shower....oh the shower... if anyone needs a really nice shower, this is where you'll find it - in a massive bathroom! Everything at the house is in order. I'd stay again. If you're thinking of staying with Ben and Jude, stop thinking and start booking! (I have not been offered any incentives for giving this glowing feedback).

A spacious 3 bedroom house in a family friendly residential area just outside the town of Bethesda. A great base for exploring Snowdonia National Park or the coast of Anglesey. Local amenities close by and Zipworld just a 5 minute drive away.
Entry is through a low front door {mind your head} and a couple of steps down to hallway which houses washing machine, fridge and freezer and shelf storage. Walk through to spacious kitchen / dining area with extra sofa seating to make it a nice communal hub in which to gather and plan your day ahead. Moving through takes you to the bottom of the stairs where you can also find the living room with ample seating for 7. There is a flat screen TV with Amazon Firestick which gives you access to a wide range of viewing options. From the bottom of the stairs you can also access a nice but rustic sun lounge. There is more sofa seating here and on a sunny day it gets really warm. There is a sheila maid here if you need to dry any washing. From here you can access the good sized rear garden. Paved slate patio area with nice sized lawn and shrub borders with veg beds {still a work in progress, so please bear with us, whilst we get it looking lovely} Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms, the largest of which also has an extra single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided as are basic toiletries in the upstairs bathroom.
Llanllechid is predominantly a residential area. There is a local store {with post office} and pub within easy walking distance. There is a park with swings and slide etc just a couple of doors down from the property, which also has nice views over to the mountains. Please be considerate to local residents by keeping noise levels down later in the evening.

Welcome to our cosy, modern & well decorated garden bungalow in Bethesda. The bungalow has a shower room & toilet, kitchen area with microwave, kettle & toaster (no cooker) & a separate bedroom. It has wooden flooring & is serviced by a combi boiler for those hot showers after a day of climbing in Snowdonia! Bethesda is home to Europe’s largest zip wire (Zip World) & is famous for its slate quarry. We are just a 5 minute drive from the mountain pass & 10 minutes into the city of Bangor.
You can log on to the bungalow WiFi which is perfect for general surfing and catching up on social media but to be honest it is not up to streaming video due to speed and data restrictions, so guests are politely asked not to use NetFlix /Amazon Prime. There is however an extensive DVD library in the property with over 200 titles so plenty to watch if you fancy a night in. Garden furniture is set up for you to sit outside and enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine after a day out.
Bethesda is a slate quarrying village on doorstep of the dramatic Nant Ffrancon Pass, Ogwen Falls and some of North Wales’s wildest mountain scenery. A new traffic-free section on the Lôn Las Ogwen cycle and walking path now links Bethesda with Porth Penrhyn on the coast. The Zip World attraction in Penrhyn Quarry has attracted a huge amount of interest. Another recent development is the new gateway visitor centre at Nant Ffrancon to Cwm Idwal and the Ogwen Valley, with interactive interpretation, information and cafe.
  • Excellent location, very private place. Jo is a great host. I would be happy to come back, anytime!

Jo was very friendly gave great local tips on things to do in the area, we really enjoyed blue sky cafe in Bangor really great food 😃

  • Excellent place to stay to explore Snowdonia and region. Plenty of options for hiking, castles, villages and lots of things to do around. The cottage is small but perfect for couple, cozy, well equipped (not only cook), shower with good pressure and temperature. Jo was very quick with the replys and provided useful and precise informations for our stay. No amendments to do. Thanks!

    Cleber2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • I recently arranged to meet up with some old friends in North Wales for a weekend, and booked to stay at Jo’s place as it was near to where my friends were staying and good value. Because I arrived late, it was dark so initially I struggled to find the house, but Jo’s instructions were pretty clear and I got the after a few minutes of identifying nearby landmarks! The cabin was small and cosy, I would say ideal for lone travellers or a couple if you’re planning on being out for most of the day (which you should, as there are loads of great local walks etc.) It was spotlessly clean and had all of the necessities (small kitchenette, kettle, fridge, tv, DVD player, WiFi). The bathroom was small but practical, and the shower had good water pressure/temperature. Very cosy bed, and the heating was set at just the right temperature to be warm and cosy after a day of walking out in the wet! Jo was a very responsive host, quick to respond and sent lots of useful local information prior to my arrival. All in all I can’t really fault this place and would definitely recommend it to others.

    Greg2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Everything was exactly as described. The hosts were very welcoming and offered detailed information prior to arrival. Lots of space for a single traveller + ideal location for hiking. I felt very comfortable and would stay there again.

    Anja2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jo's bungalow is small but perfectly formed and is the ideal place for a single person or a couple to use as a base for exploring the beautiful area of Snowdonia. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you might need. The place was nice and warm, without needing heating on, the bed was really comfy and the shower was good and powerful. We didn't make use of the TV or the very impressive collection of dvds, although my other half managed to fit in a couple of games with the atari. All in all it was perfect for our needs and a wonderful weekend in Bethesda. (Also, if you're lucky you might encounter her two beautifully behaved, lovely dogs too.) Diolch yn fawr Jo and family!

Outdoor Loo is at the rear of cabin approx 25 yards.. and you can use the house for showers.. either come and go as you please or you can book a slot if you prefer privacy

A very unique cosy property converted from an old stone outbuilding. The cottage is on the bank of the Caseg river and surrounded by a quiet garden, providing an excellent retreat, while only 5 minutes walk from the amenities of the local village Bethesda. Take a local walk in the Ogwen valley, to Zip World or access climbing, walking, mountain biking and kayaking activities in Snowdonia directly from the cottage. A relaxing evening soak in the hot tub can be recommended.
The driveway leads to plenty of parking. A paved patio area with seating and BBQ / fire pit adjoins the garden with the river only 5m away. A storage shed for wet gear and equipment is next to the front door. Once inside, a compact kitchen comprises of a double hob, oven, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is seating around the table for four. The living and dining area then leads through to a double bedroom and separate wet shower room and toilet. The entire cottage has under floor heating. A large secluded hot tub can be enjoyed at the rear of the cottage next to the river.
The main house and cottage is set in a secluded, large, riverside garden. Bethesda town has many amenities - pubs, take aways, a small Tesco and Londis. It is possible to walk from the house almost without using any roads to complete leisurely local walks down to the river Ogwen, to Zip World (restaurant) or to access the Carneddi mountain range. Kayakers with experience can paddle from the garden down the Caseg river before joining the Ogwen, one of the best rivers for white water in Wales. More gentle water activities can be had on the lake at Llanberis and there are numerous wild swimming opportunities. We have a number of canoes and kayaks available to loan, but you do so at your own risk! Mountain bike trails are plentiful in the area, or quiet roads for those that prefer. Rock climbing and bouldering are easily accessed in the Ogwen or Llanberis Valley. For those that prefer, the beaches and surfing on Anglesey are only a 30 minute drive. North Wales has a wide range of tourist attractions for visitors of all ages, including castles, National Trust properties, Zip World, Bounce Below, Tree Tops, the Great Orme, Llanberis slate museum and Electric Mountain, The Greenwood Centre , Foel Farm and the Anglesey Sea Zoo all on our doorstep. Bangor, Caernarfon, Conwy and Llandudno all have great restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as theatres and cinemas.
  • Perfect place if you're looking to escape for the weekend. Hosts are very quick to respond and offer solutions to any questions/problems.

    Hannah2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, well-kept bungalow in a picturesque location. Easy to get to local amenities, and very easy to access walks in Snowdonia.

  • If you’re looking for a weekend getaway in a peaceful area filled with fantastic views of welsh mountains, this is the property for you! Myself and my partner had a fantastic stay here. It was about a 15 minute walk to the fastest zip line in the world and we fully recommend staying here if you intend to visit zip world! The views around the property were incredible. Having the waterfall run behind the cottage made the stay even more relaxing. After coming off the zip line and having an explore around the area we came back to the cottage for a dip in the hot tub! Which was an extra special treat! Nick and Lesley were so friendly and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for better hosts!

    Ellie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Set with backdrop of Snowdonia hills and next to a little river. 5-10 min walk to local shops, cafes and pubs. Ideal for walks into Snowdonia, although due to the storms we didn't manage any. Hot tub was a best part! Clean, spacious and warm 😀 Already recommended to family and friends and we'll be back for sure.

    Elliott2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location by the stream, a good base for relaxing after a hike up Snowden or an action packed day at Zipworld. Great communications and having a private hot tub, to soak all your aches away is a total bonus.

    Andy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had the most amazing two nights here, this place is honestly so lovely - the pictures don't it justice!!! The little cottage has everything you need and more, the hot tub is such a nice extra and the area is beautiful with very impressive waterfalls and right on the edge of snowdonia. Couldn't have asked for anything better and we are already looking into dates when we can come back in the summer!!

Tŷ Rowan is a lovely little house to stay in to explore the delights of Gwynedd, Conwy and the rest of North Wales. The house is attatched to our own house and is an old quarry man's cottage at the end of the terrace. The house offers basic, comfy accommodation- with easy going hosts. Please note-the house is quite basic but very cosy. Please note-we have a small pond in the garden and ask parents to keep an eye on small children with this in mind.
Ty Rowan is a cottage situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Our post code is LL573HU. The house is basic but offers warm and cosy base for your stay- with gas central heating, and a log fire. There are two bed rooms, one sleeps two with a single bed and a pull out single as well. In the other room there two singles beds which can be pushed together. There is a bathroon with shower, a l lounge with the fire and single sofa bed and a large light kitchen with a wooden farmhouse table with seating for 6, a gas cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. The kitchen has lovely views over o the west and Anglesey, and opens out onto a large patio and small garden. The views at sunset are spectacular if the weather is co-operating.There is a drive for one vehicle. We are situated in the village of Llanllechid which has a Post-office with well equipped shop. From the village frequent buses can take you to Bangor, Betws-y-Coed and Caernarfon, etc. This is a popular base for exploring the fantastic mountains, lakes, castles and beaches of North Wales. We are a mile from Bethesda which has a small Tesco, Londis and Spar. In Bethesda there are various pubs, cafes and takeaways. Ty Rowan is 2 miles from the Zip Wire ('Zip World') A few miles away are the historic towns of Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris with their 13th. century castles. From here you can take boat trips. A boat ride around Penmon Island takes you to a wild life sactury of sea birds and seals. We are only a few miles from Llanberis, where the Snowdonia Mountain Railway begins. This narrow gauge railway will take you to the very summit of the largest mountain in Wales and England. The views of course, are stunning (clouds permitting!). There is also a cafe on the summit of this mountain, originally built by the Victorians, and recently rebuilt. This area is full of historical sites, beautiful scenery, mountains and beaches. We provide WIFI. The fee includes one bag of logs ( further bags in the cupboard for £3), towels and bed linen. A £5 a night refund will be given to you if you bring your own bed linen and towels-just let me know before hand. There is no T.V. but a selections of family games and books. Dogs are welcome, but we do ask owners to clean up after their dogs and use the council bins provided for that purpose to keep them off the furniture.
This is a great base for the mountains, lakes, beaches and castles of Snowdonia. Many guests enjoy the local Zip Wire, and the award winning Greenwood Forest Park family attraction which is only 5 miles away. Near by are The Anglesey Sea Zoo, Welsh Mountain Zoo and Pili Palace-well worth a visit. Penryn Castle-a 19th.century building is 3 miles down the road with fabulous activities for children. About 8 miles from Ty Rowan is the town of Llanberis, here the Snowdon railway can take you to the top of Snowdon-or you can walk/climb up (depending on which route you take). Llanberis also offers the Electric Mountain tour and ( my favourite!) The slate Museum. This is an open air museum still full of the original workings of the slate industry-a massive working water wheel, demonstrations to show how the quarry men had to split the slate by hand-and much more.
  • The host is really nice and was quick to respond to questions we had. The house was cosy and well equipped (the photos don't do the house justice). We had a great stay, thank you Sally!

    Rebecca2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sally was not only a wonderful host offering us tips on local places to eat etc and leaving each member of my family a little present, but the cottage was gorgeous. Very quirky and much bigger than I was expecting! Thanks for helping us create lively festive memories Sally!

    Rachael2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This 'Quarry Man's' cottage situated in a small village made us feel a living part of this historic area. The cottage is completely self contained with modern central heating, bathroom and kitchen appliances, (washer, dryer, gas stove, fridge). Situated on the edge of the Snowdonia mountains provides easy driving to Snowdon and the North Wales towns. The views from the back door and patio were gorgeous, from across Anglesey to Holyhead Mountain and the Snowdonia mountains with a turn of the head. Sally's location instructions were perfect, only the artistic Ty Rowen sign was at ground level, so after driving all day we missed it for a couple of passes. A parking area is provided, which is great in popular tourist times. I would certainly recommend this cottage for your Snowdonia visit . My only regret on this booking was that we did not staying longer.

  • We stayed here in August with two teenagers and two dogs. The accommodation was as expected with a lovely large living room with log burner and kitchen area. The views outside were fantastic and we found some lovely places to walk. The Wifi worked and kept our teens happy and we even got to play some board games with them. Thank you Sally for your warm welcome.

  • We loved our stay at Sally, her cozy little house, "just the right way", perfect for a few days of adventures in an exciting area (hiking at the top of Mount Snowdon, Conwy, Island of Anglesey, visit from the slate museum in Llanberis, etc.), his warm welcome and his advice. Thanks again Sally :-)

  • A great little find in a wonderful part of Wales. Highly recommend - we had a lovely 2 days and would have loved to have stayed longer!

  • My family spent 4 wonderful days exploring Snowdonia. The house is perfectly located at the edge of Snowdonia and it did the job for our purpose. Sally was a great guest and gave us useful information for our trips. The house was ok for our stay, but it can be improved, it has a lot of potential. It was good value for money.

  • Lovely little house, easy access to the coast and into Snowdonia by car. Gorgeous view from the porch. A fab, cosy spot.

Bethesda is a lovely little town and their little place is absolutely worth visiting. Everything we needed was there. This scenic place is one of the best I ever stayed. Will be definitely coming back again. Completely happy for choosing this place for my bday getaway. Thanks very much to Andrew and Karen xx

Thanks for a fabulous stay, we will be back!

Andrew and Karen are fantastic hosts, very caring and welcoming, on hand for anything. They even sent us messages throughout our stay ensuring we were comfortable, happy and safe (there was a bad storm one of the days). The homely touches inside the space made it feel very comfortable and warm. Would 100% recommend. Will stay again

The bathroom is a small space but it works, it’s all you need if your staying for a night or two. Very stylish and love that it has a big tv on the wall plus a microwave which is also a grille and oven. Wound highly recommended this place. Amazing views across snowdonia and you can see the zip wire coming down the mountains. Great hosts very friendly.

Spacious private bedroom on Bethesda High Street with a beautiful view to the mountains. Just a couple of doors down from a number of take-aways and Londis, a 5 minute walk to Tesco Extra and a couple of local coffee shops. Just 10 minutes drive from Bangor town. It's really close to the event venue Neuadd Ogwen, which holds lovely concerts and films. The house is on the A5 that leads to Bangor, Snowdonia National Park, Zip World and Betws-y-Coed.
The bedroom is on the second floor of the house, it takes two flights of stairs to get there. The space is very quiet with a beautiful view to the mountains.
If you come on a weekend, we really recommend Fitzpatrick's for coffee and food, also walks around Parc Meurig and the cycling tracks around Ogwen Valley. Also visit the pottery shop and attend the gigs at Neuadd Ogwen.

  • Perfect for yourself and two mates to hold up on a weekend adventure. Maria was fabulously welcoming and made herself available to assist with queries on local places to eat and any other questions we had. The space is clean and tidy, bedding and towels provided and I usually have trouble sleeping in bunk houses, so a night in a warm comfy bed at Maria's went down a treat, especially when you stack the price up against a local bunk house and with towels and bedding provided! I also had the privilege of overhearing some of her guitar work - so relaxing, put me right to sleep for a cheeky pre-dinner nap! Last note, use Air B&B directions, or you'll end up knocking on the wrong door probably... No doubt he'll be expecting you. apparently happens a lot! Thanks again Maria.

  • Perfect location for a weekend break in North Wales. We were able to walk to zip world from the cottage and took the scenic route through the back gate directly into the forest. The cottage exceeded all expectations and was more of a home away from home with lovely small touches like fresh flowers. Communication with Ceri was brilliant and she was on hand providing useful tips, no issues with check in/out and next time we head to North Wales we will most defiently go back.

    Georgie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most marvellous time at Ceri's miners cottage. It looks so tiny from the outside, big on the inside! It has been thoughtfully redecorated inside with lots of light, a lovely fireplace and a great kitchen. Ceri was on hand and greeted us as soon as we arrived (a little later than planned!) Two bedrooms, one on the ground with step-free access to bathroom, and one on the first floor with access to the garden. Great access to local sites. We visited the slate museum, ate at local restaurants (15 min walk away) and don't miss the Zip World!!

    Sarah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely cottage with wonderful hostess. Ceri provided lovely welcoming touches and communication was faultless, quick and thorough. Location is great for adventures yet it’s very quiet. We found the cottage clean, spacious and really homely. It was also incredibly warm and cosy. Really couldn’t fault it!

  • A gorgeous, cosy cottage with plenty of space to relax. Perfect location with lots of things to do and fantastic walks if you get the weather!! The log fire is the perfect way to a end a day where you can enjoy a drink and completely relax!! Everything you can think of is on hand in the cottage to use even books and games for the kids!! An amazing cottage that is more than we could ever have imagined!! xxxx

  • An excellent location situated in the gorgeous Snowdonia national park. The accommodation is sparkly clean and has wonderful little touches like fresh flowers, food in the fridge and even chocolate buttons for my son. A selection of games and books to keep little ones entertained as well. The garden is lovely but not easily accessible if you have limited mobility. Perfect for a weekend away or a longer stay. Perfect hosts who went above and beyond.

Its just a comfy room to stay in, in a clean house in a safe area.
Its a quiet and safe area. There is a local pub just down the road so you sometimes hear people leaving on their way past.
  • Wonderfully friendly household. Super relaxed and informal. Cal and her housemates would do anything to help. The shower needs a review all of its own - the best I've been in for a long time. Central location, too. Brilliant value.

  • Such an amazing place, will definitely be coming back! Hilda was very kind and caring, a day before coming we I received a message with the directions how to get there and everything what we can expect when we come. The place is so incredibly cozy, full of delightful little things that just makes you feel so welcomed. There was a garden there with a tavle and a couolenof chairs which let us to enjoy our morning coffee outside watching the mountains! The location was incredible!

  • A little haven of a place that was the perfect stay after a stressful week. Our car broke down and Hilda offered us a lift which was so kind and above and beyond her hosting duties. Really happy with our stay and sad to leave.

  • The communication from Sam was great to get us there after we were delayed in our journey and all amenities were as described

    Steve2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for walking in Snowdonia. Pool, hot tub and bar room an added bonus. You can actually see the mountains from the pool. Excellent host.

    Ian2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The bunk house is in a great location for Zip World and many of the local walks and attractions. We had really active days and it was lovely to come back to a hot tub. Samuel maintains the hot tub and pool to a high standard and the kids loved having these facilities plus the pool/TV room. Samuel and his family were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

    Charlotte2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great quirky bunkhouse and facilities with friendly host Samuel always at hand to help.

    Sally2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, pretty much central to all tourist places. We visited Zip World Forest whoch was 30 mins and Anglesey also 30 mins. Sam's home was wonderful with a pool and hot tub. There's also a bar and pool room whoch has a cinema screen and xbox for the kids too. The bedroom is great with most things you'll need for a stay such as bedding, fridge, microwave etc... the hosts also say if you need an oven they will happily allow you to use theirs. The toilet and shower room are across the garden but plenty of lights to see where you're going at night. You will be in a bunkhouse which is next door to the host but you still feel like the grounds are your own and get lots of privacy. Lovely little stay, thank you Sam and to your family.

    Andrea2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • You shall be made to feel very welcome and the accommodation is small but comfortable with everything you need at hand.

Welcome to our newly converted chalet located at the bottom of our garden at the foot of the Carneddau Mountain Range in Bethesda. It contains a brand new small kitchen with all basic utensils, pots, pans, kettle, toaster and electric hobs. We also supply tea, coffee and milk. The bed is a SOFA BED. It is a stones throw away from the famous 'Zipworld' (15 min walk) and the Carneddau mountain range (10 min walk), and a short drive from Snowdon (15 min). Perfect location to experience Snowdonia.
The chalet is located at the bottom of our garden. Newly converted it is the ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. You’re more than welcome also to use our spacious garden. Parking is a problem in the area but not at Fron Isaf where you will have your own parking bay.
Bethesda is a vibrant working town. The Penrhyn Slate Quarry, now home to Zip World, used to be the largest Slate Quarry in the world, employing up to 3000 workers at its hight. Today the number is far lower and tourism has become more important. Nevertheless the spirit of the village and its Welshnes lives on in its residents. The George (Y Sior) is a 5 minute walk from the property. Serving locally brewed cask ales and a warm Welsh welcome I would recomend a visit. If you choose not to use the newly installed kitchen in the Fron Isaf there is ample choice of food available on the high street and nearby. Ranging from take aways to resteraunts. Bethesda is a haven for walkers. Close to all the major mountain ranges of Snowdonia and within walking distance (literally a couple of minutes walk) of the Carneddau mountain range. Buses also run all day from Bethesda through Nant Francon towards Cwm Idwal and Llyn Ogwen and Capel Curig amd Betws y Coed.
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Great location and value for money 😆

    Joanna2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Both hosts are really helpful with tips on what to do around the area, there if you need them for anything. The space was sparkling clean and cosy when we arrived with amenities available like milk, cereal, tea and coffee.

    Beth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic views of Snowdonia from the parking location for the cabin. If you don't expect too much from the squeaky sofa bed then everything else about the cabin is really nice and cosy! Maybe bring earplugs if heavy rain noise particularly bothers you.

    Beth2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. The location was perfect for us, everywhere we wanted to go was a short drive, and the high street was a five minute walk. The cabin was cute and cosy, even with storm Dennis going on. Definitely be back again (:

    Jade2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow... Perfect for a break away & for one or two xxx Stunning location & cosy 🙌

    Diane2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cabin for a quick weekend away in the beautiful Welsh countryside! The cabin had everything we needed, from towels, to pots and pans, and even some yummy welsh cakes on arrival! We visited during Storm Ciara, and the only thing to keep in mind is that the rain and wind can be quite noisy when you’re in a little shed - so maybe take some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!! But overall, this could not have been a more lovely place to stay! Hopefully we will visit again when the sun is shining :)

    Evie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cosy space with a very tidy and homely feel to it. We arrived a little later than expected after a long drive, and got speedy communication throughout the booking process and on updating the hosts with our arrival time. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, I feel the space has been utilised very well. On reading other reviews about the bed, we ended up bringing a spare duvet and propped the sofa bed with pillows and managed to get decent and a comfy sleep with these additions. For a cabin, the heating and the portable heater was useful and effective to keep us warm! The location of this place is excellent for taking trips to snowdonia and surrounding areas, and was excellent value for what we paid for our stay. There are some lovely views too from the cabin of the surrounding areas. Thanks again for our stay, I would definitely recommend for a short trip if you are exploring north wales.

Only a 4 minute walk to the Menai Strait water front, our scandi-nautical studio is the ideal spot from which to discover Anglesey and Snowdonia. Only 2 miles from the popular village of Menai Bridge offering a range of bars and eateries, and 3.8 miles from the historic town of Beaumaris, with plentiful pastimes such as the castle, Janet Bell Gallery, cafes and shops a plenty. If attending an event at Chateux Rhianfa, we are just a short 4min walk away. So no need for taxis.
The studio sleeps 2 comfortably, a cot or Moses basket can be offered, but wouldn’t leave much room for manoeuvre. And for a less comfortable stay, the sofa is large enough to sleep on and extra bedding available at an extra fee. An information book is left for you to muse, which will give you a small idea of what the area has to offer. Dogs are very welcome, but because of the size of the apartment have a policy of 1 large dog or up to 2 small dogs. The back yard is enclosed and 100% safe so you could leave the back door open without worrying about your fur baby.
We are situated across the road from the Menai Strait and a short 4 min walk will get you to the water front with magnificent views of Bangor university and the Menai Suspension Bridge.
  • An absolute fanatic place ! I definitely recommend a stay here. The place was spotless and the breakfast was so thoughtful and lovely. A very short drive from most things on the island making it a perfect location. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

    Emma2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little find. Perfect for myself my partner and our dog. We stayed for 2 nights, whilst catching up with old friends. The apartment had all we could need. It was warm and cosy, treats for us and the dog including breakfast for next day. The apartment was lovely and clean, towels provided as well as miniature shower/bathroom bits. Will hopefully be back soon.

    Kat2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fflat y Menai is in a great location, only a 20 minute walk on the pavement, or short drive, to Menai Bridge. The space is stylish, a lovely size and really nicely decorated. There were vegan sausages and bacon for us in the fridge, as well as almond milk, orange juice, eggs, break and vegan cake - things like this were so beyond our expectations and so lovely. There were dog biscuits in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend it, and will stay again next time we are visiting Anglesey - if there's room for us!

    Rebecca2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have another lovely stay at this studio. This was our second stay and everything was perfect as always.

    Patrick2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy space in a great location. Fabulous hospitality and breakfast. We didn’t need to take our dog in the end - but perfect space for 2 and a dog.

    Jacqui2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Gwenllian for a lovely stay - we arrived on a cold, blustery night, later than hoped and needing a hot drink. We walked in to a warm, very welcoming property, it immediately felt cosy and comfortable and the dog was fast asleep in two minutes! (after having one of the biscuits from the special doggy treat tin) . The studio has everything you need and Gwenllian left a very generous breakfast spread for us to have the next morning.......we would love to come back soon xx

This Grade 2 listed traditional Welsh cottage is located within 5 minutes of Zip World Velocity and is perfect for exploring North Wales. The cottage has been completely renovated and also features a beautiful sunny garden and patio with plenty of space to sit and relax outside. Bethesda village centre is within walking distance and has a Tesco supermarket (open 7 days a week until late), pubs and a good choice of takeaways.
Inside the cottage, you’ll find a beautifully modernised space retaining all the rustic charm of a quarry man’s cottage. The cottage has been fully modernised to create a comfortable, airy space and features a glass-fronted bedroom mezzanine above the lounge. The property is well insulated and features a large wood burning stove in addition to high capacity electric oil heaters for the colder months of the year. You’ll also find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to refuel after enjoying the stunning landscapes and activities on offer in Snowdonia.
  • This is a wonderful cottage for a cosy stay. Anna was very helpful and getting in was easy. The cottage is beautifully done inside. Everything you need for a cosy couple of days. Perfect for 2 or 3 people. It is a 10 min walk from the local village and a well stocked tesco express. There is parking but in a lay by on the main road next to the house. There is a wonderful wooden staircase but it may not be suitable for someone with reduced mobility. Overall a really lovely stay would definitely recommend.

    Georgie2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is quaint and welcoming. Anna was quick to respond to any messages and put the heating on for us arriving. Would stay again.

  • We’ve had a great time at Anna’s place. It’s a lovely, little cottage with everything you need to relax and unwind. We’ve stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The location is great as there’s so much to do in the area. Even the welsh weather was on our side. Anna was in touch all the way through our stay and made sure we’ve settled in. I would recommend this place to anyone, whether you just want to unwind or make the most of the beauty of North Wales.

  • Anna’s cottage was perfect for our family of three, sparkling clean, lovely and cosy, great parking and a fabulous location for exploring Snowdonia. It was so nice to come back to a wood burner and amazing shower after a day in the mountains. We’d definitely recommend it and will hopefully be back soon!

  • This is a very lovely cottage. Quirky. Log fire which we now know how to light and it makes for a superbly cosy lounge. Heating very effective. Not a lot of headroom above the main bed but you learn quickly! Laid out very well and very clean. Kitchen well stocked with crockery and cutlery. Anna kept in close contact to make sure that everything was ok which was kind of her. Great communication. We would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
