10 Acre Private Gated Estate With 6,000 Sq. Ft Of Living Space Surrounded By 360 Degree Mountain Range. Quiet, Secluded, Peaceful Yet Only 15 Miles To The 3'rd Largest City In L.A. County (Valencia) And Only 60 Miles To L.A. Airport.(URL HIDDEN)
YES, WE DO WEDDINGS!!!!!!!!! Will house 12 people normally and up to 20 people with sleeping bags... HUGE HOME! This spectacular luxury ranch house is one of a kind built solid from the ground up and layered with a patterned and texturized stucco finish. The interior is wood, granite and stone and brick craft work throughout. Morning coffee on the level 2 wrap around deck is extremely peaceful as you are sung to by the myriad of forest bird types gathered in the near by Oak and Pine trees on the property. Come sun down a glass of wine while watching the view is the most relaxing time of all. Once it is dark you will have a major view of all the star constellations right from the comfort of the back yard hot tub.
The neighborhood is all below the ranch since the ranch is set high on the mountain. The town is very quiet and privacy is guarded in this community. If you are a high profile person looking for anonymity this is your place.
  • We had an incredible stay at the ranch, where we hosted our small wedding (approx. 50 people). Most of our immediate family stayed at the ranch, and a few friends also slept on the couches. The ranch really has all the amenities you need for a small event, and the views are beautiful. We were able to cater the wedding in the kitchen and with the grill, and we had a dance space outside. We loved it!

  • This is a perfect place for retreat! Breathtaking scenery, beautiful building and it easily accommodates big group with everything we need provided and then some. The only downside is that we didn't plan to stay longer and we should have! Visit this place and you will love it!!!!

  • Stayed at the home at it was very nice and Gary was very nice. I will certainly stay again.

  • As a young filmmaker, it can be a challenge to find locations to shoot in. I've reached out to many homeowners on this site, only to be turned away and dismissed rather harshly. Gary was warm and welcoming from our first exchange. He was very trusting in leaving his majestic home into my hands and the hands of my creative team. He allowed us full freedom in shooting all over his house, and even offered to order food and drinks for the cast and crew as a means of taking some of the stress and burden off of me. He didn't micromanage me as a filmmaker, the way other hosts do. He didn't badger me about the content that I was creating, nor did he grill me on how I planned to protect the nooks and crannies of his gorgeous castle. He just opened his doors and his sense of trust and good judgment, allowing me to create. I truly look forward to booking with him again.

  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and Gary and his home made it memorable. I would definitely come back to this beautiful home if I had the chance to. This house is really big with a gorgeous view so enjoy every second of it. Gary is a wonderful host and really makes you feel very welcomed when you see this man. Thank you Gary for my stay!

    Elijah2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place that would be as close to the forest as possible for our Spring wedding and that's exactly what we got! As a bonus, we were very fortunate to meet Gary and his family. They were very gracious hosts. Gary went above and beyond to try and help find the perfect spot on his land for us to hold our ceremony. The house is wonderful. The kitchen is a dream, the beds are comfy, the jacuzzi tub in the master suite was great as is the massage chair! The view at night is magic! Being immersed in nature is exactly what we wanted and we were not disappointed. We even saw a few prairie dogs! We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub outside; maybe next time. We were so lucky that we found Gary's place, that it was available and that he allowed us to hold our wedding at his home. We can't wait to go back again as a family and hopefully relax next time around! Thank you Gary, for everything! We feel truly blessed to have met you.

  • Amazing home! Literally couldn't ask for anything more.

    Joseph2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at the ranch. The views were breathtaking. We had a small wedding in the back yard and it was great to be surrounded by nature and not the noisy city. We already miss this place. We will definitely be coming back.

Remodeled bunkhouse on a private horse ranch surrounded by beautiful hills. Cabin has 3 rooms: a cozy bedroom (coffee maker and a fridge included), a separate bathroom with a shower and a room with washer/dryer. Our cabin is great for hikers, couples and it's a heaven for dogs!!! Horseback riding lessons are available. Gas grill and a picnic table are outside for your use. Gas tank and grill utensils are right there - so just bring your steaks, ribs or veggies :-)!
It is a quiet place surrounded by hills. Stay to enjoy a full day of hiking, take a nice shower, and play a game of billiards, ping pong or pin ball. And of course, our favorite - star gazing. We offer horseback lessons on weekends (book in advance, please) too..There is Shadowland foundation (an educational facility with a pack of wolves at our sister ranch Freedom ) only 8 miles away. We highly recommend to visit this place (reservation is required for Wed and Sat meet&greet with the wolves). There is also an ostrich farm (also 8 miles away) with a cute gift shop of all things ostrich..If you are hiking along PCT or traveling across Southern CA - come to take a breath and enjoy the tranquility. 40 mins to Magic Mountain. And finally, our place is truly a heaven for your dog.. Your pooch will have a lot of space to run around (protected by great fencing) and will even have fun befriending the horses.. We just added a picnic table and a grill. Feel free to use it to cook a dinner under the stars.
We are right in the middle of Angeles Crest National Forest, in a tiny community (i guess we call it a town) of Three Points.
  • When we booked a stay at Dan's house we thought it would be a convenient stop between Oakland and San Diego, but it turned out to be so much more. The setting amid the pines and hills is stunning. Our kids loved playing with Dan's dog, trying out his pinball machine, riding in his golf cart, and taking horseback riding lessons from his friend Gary (who is a truly amazing trainer). But the best part was hanging out with Dan, who is a spiritually enlightened and generally awesome person in so many ways. We hope to return soon.

  • The ranch was the perfect getaway! We were looking for a spot to watch the meteor shower and it was fantastic! The bed and accommodations very cozy! Dan was very welcoming and surprised us with treats from the garden. Having the horses on the property added an extra layer of excitement, especially for our pup ;) Dan recommended checking out the wolf sanctuary and ostrich farm which were really cool too! We would love to come back!

  • Yulia and Dan were great hosts and the cabin was clean and very comfortable. The area is beautiful and peaceful. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back.

    Veronica2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Great to disconnect and spend time to recharge. Beautiful skyline at night and beautiful space to walk around and spend sometime with the horses, hiking, reading or exploring the surroundings. The cabin was super clean and feels like a comfy hotel room/apartment in the middle of nature. I'll definitely will come back and highly recommend.

    Jes2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were excellent. We arrived late and yet they came to show us everything and helped with an extra mattress. Next morning Yulia invited us over for breakfast. The cabin has been re modeled and is cozy, very clean and well supplied. The ranch is big and has horses for horse riding. It is close to Quail lake and Elizabeth Lake. It is also close to a wolf sanctuary where we went to attend the sunday program and saw the wolves. It is also close to the Ostrich ranch where we took a small tour.I enjoyed my stay and the closeness to nature. Both Dan and Yulia were very helpful.

  • Beautiful location, cabin has everything you need, but bring slippers as the bathroom is not attached to the bedroom.

    Xtine2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely perfect. We were able to book last minute, with a couple hours notice. It made our anniversary absolutely perfect! Will definitely stay here again if in the area!!

    Esther2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed one night at Yulia and Dan's place and I wish I had stayed more. I arrived late at night, and they were out waiting for me, avoiding me to get lost in the process. I unfortunately did not get to see the neighborhood at daylight because I left early morning but I am pretty sure I would have loved it. Yulia and Dan are lovely people, very nice to share stories with, and I loved their playful dog. Will definitely come back!

  • Helanie and her husband were awesome. They were extremely welcoming, and wonderful to visit with. The house is beautiful and comfortable, and the neighborhood is safe with gorgeous views. Thanks so much again for having me!

  • This was my second time staying with Helanie. Her home is super comfy and inviting, and she and her family are wonderful!

    Stephanie2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Helanie was a wonderful host along with her family, their house was wonderful, the bed very comfortable and for the first time in a while, I slept past 8:30. Helanie was able to accommodate my request when I needed to move my traveling dates and I really appreciated. Her house is less than 10 minutes away from Six Flags and 35 minutes from Santa Monica, making her house perfect for me and for those who like to take some time to explore LA. Helanie and her family were very sweet, they all greeted me as if I was part of their family and for a single lady staying at a stranger's house, I felt very welcome, at ease and safe. Another plus was that I had a chance to grab some breakfast that they had available for me, and for someone like me that has to have a meal before going anywhere, I was grateful for that gesture. Loved the house, the neighbourhood and my stay, Helanie and her family made my mini vacation a marvelous time, Thank you!!!! So if you want comfort, something close to Six Flags, close enough to LA and great host be sure to make a reservation with Helanie!

    Rosy2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • A visit with Helanie and family shows there is still hope for the human race. They are just about as cool as they come. Incredibly welcoming. By far my favorite stay and I consider myself lucky to of crashed there. Great conversations, food and laughs. The house? Huge, quiet, and everything you could ask for. An upstairs living room! Rock star accommodations (I honestly didn't know they made tv's that big). I would more than likely of moved in if I didn't have to go back home. In fact, If you don't stay there, you're completely missing out on all the awesomeness and your life will most certainly fall into shambles. Remember when E.T. was desperately trying to phone home? Well if he would of phoned Helanie instead, he would've had a much better stay on planet earth and all that drama would never of happened. The planets have aligned in Castaic. Thanks guys, you rock. Hope to come back...stay in touch.

  • Very nice family! Thank you for your hospitality!

    TIMOTHY2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is my first review on Airbnb, and our host was wonderful. She was great with communication, timelines, and very flexible with our late hours back! Her daughters were lovely, and her home was welcoming. Thank you Helanie!

    Julia2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • What an inviting house to come to after a long drive. Helanie and her family made us feel immediately comfortable and welcomed when we arrived, and so throughout our whole stay. The room is spacious, the bed divine and the bathroom two steps from the room. Also the fan saved us at night as it can get warm in that area. A lovely breakfast awaited us in the morning, really appreciated it! I was given a list of things to do and see in LA by Helanie's daughter which I am really grateful for. All in all I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, as I doubt you could come across a sweeter and more cheerful family!

    Alessandro2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a pleasure staying at this place. The host was so welcoming when we arrived and even offered a drink as soon as we arrived. The room was perfect and very clean. The host is such an incredibly sweet person. She had coffee ready for us when we woke up and cooked us breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed staying at this place and definitely look forward to staying with this host again!

Easy access to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood, the Beach, and the 5 freeway. Lots of great restaurants nearby! Check out Lazy Dog Cafe- their fries with umami sauce are amazing. Quiet, rural farmhouse setting ... farm animals too! This property is located 4 miles west of the 5 freeway in Castaic, CA. (Hasley Canyon exit).
  • This is a great value for larger families or groups visiting the area; half the price of a hotel, and far cleaner. It's a simple, straightforward, cozy place. It's not spacious or luxurious, but if you need a clean place to sleep a larger family, this is it. It's located about 10-15 minutes outside of Valencia, so not terribly convenient to the beach or central LA, but if you're visiting Castaic Lake or Magic Mountain, it's perfect. Julie was very friendly and helpful, and the communication/check-in/check-out process was very easy.

  • This is a great place if you need a quiet-rural area to stay in. It's very close to Magic Mountain, and we'll definitely be staying here on our future trips to MM! The hosts are friendly and great at communicating and taking care of all that we needed.

  • Sam and his home were very welcoming! There were absolutely no problems with the cabin and our expectations were far exceeded. Anything and everything that we needed was readily available at the Cabin. There were no neighbors within earshot, and the entire property was very fun especially knowing that there is no possibility of noise complaints. We elected to pay to heat the pool which I FULLY recommend doing as we used the pool almost the entire time. The games room was also a great addition as the equipment was brand new and of high quality. Everything about the cabin was designed for large groups, everything from bedding to cookware to space in general if you have a large group then this is the cabin to go to.

  • Wow! Our family LOVED this place! We were kinda nervous to try an entire home for our first family trip for Thanksgiving this year. My husband has a HUGE family (7 siblings + their spouses and kids) and weren't sure at all how we can all fit in one place and have the amenities that we want for the adults and the kids. Sam's cabin was the perfect place for us! The place and the rooms were very spacious, lots of beds, plenty of towels, blankets; bathrooms were clean, kitchen has everything you would need and we all stayed warm and cozy during our stay. The kids and adults enjoyed the beautiful game room, heated pool and also the jacuzzi! Since its only 15 minutes away from the Tejon outlets, our families were able to shop there during our stay. It was also close to the freeway but was in a private property. We didn't have to worry about the noise or neighbors :) Sam was such an amazing host. He was literally available 24/7! He was super helpful and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. Whenever we needed something, he was ready to help! He also gave us some free drinks on Thanksgiving! Such a pleasant surprise! Thank you Sam! If you're looking for a cabin (entire home) to stay in, I highly recommend this place! Everyone in our family LOVED it and will definitely be back!

    Jane2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sam was extremely helpful from the moment we made the reservation till when we checked out. He remains in constant communication throughout and is extremely helpful for the home. As for the house, the pictures only understate how amazing this place is like. The indoor pool as well as the game room are an absolute hit! The actual house is amazing and truly remarkable. Overall, it's nothing else but Great!

    Rj2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic cabin and retreat. Our group enjoyed ourselves all weekend and Sam was easily contactable if I had a question. We will definitely head back there.

  • Sam is such a great host. He made sure we are comfortable and well taken care of. He's very reliable and a man of his word. The place is beautiful and has everything you'll need. The Game Room is a big hit for the kids as well as the swimming pool. While the Sauna and hot tub were enjoyed by the not so young ones.

The "smart" room has been recently remodeled, includes "Alexa" & is very cozy. The residence is pet-free, clean & has 3 small children. This is the perfect place for travelers on the 5 fwy who'd like to avoid sketchy hotels. The room is located very close to the freeway (about 30 sec drive) in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. Coffee, light breakfast, water & tea provided in the room. **Send a request even if the room doesn't appear unavailable. We can often accommodate you.**
We are always happy to welcome new Airbnb users, but request all prospective guests have a completed public profile. Also, we appreciate a personal message explaining why you would like to stay with us. Single story cute house in a quiet neighborhood. The room is only suitable for 1-2 guests as the room is small. The room has a custom, pull-out table for eating, doing makeup, writing or using a laptop. This is also a "smart room" with Amazon's Alexa ready as your personal assistant. She's ready with the latest weather, traffic and can play your favorite music. The room is well-stocked with snacks, light breakfast, cold bottled water, coffee and tea. The house has been equipped with a state-of-the-art "LifeSource Water Filter System". Every faucet and shower has clean, refreshing and odor-free water. The filter system only only removes odor and chemicals and keeps the mineral. Therefore, showering in LifeSource filtered water is great for your hair and skin. There's a newly remodeled private gym in the back yard with air conditioning, weights, TV and yoga balls/mats. (Note: please give us notice in advance if you'd like access)
The neighborhood is directly off the 5 freeway. It's literally 25-30 second drive from exiting. Guests with larger vehicles are welcome because we have PLENTY of parking. We additionally have RV parking. Most of our guests are traveling through love that the room is so close to the freeway but cheaper and nicer than a hotel. The owner has lived in the community for over 20 years and can give fantastic recommendations for food and drinks. Our guests are usually driving through and need to break up their trip or visiting Magic Mountain.
  • Brendie's home is beautiful and comfortable. The space is perfect and the thoughtfulness of the extra amenities made me feel like I was a member of the family staying over. The description is absolutely 100% accurate in every detail. We loved our stay.

  • Excellent place to stay! Felt like a 5 Star hotel in a private home.

    Anthony2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Brendie’s was fantastic. My friend and I stayed at her place before going to six flags the next day which is less than 10 minutes from her place. We came up the night before and she was very accommodating to us, allowing us to check in quite late as I had work the night before. The room was very clean and had tons of things incase you forgot anything or were hungry. Next trip up to six flags I’d definitely stay here again!

  • Brendie was amazing! She was so sweet and I felt so at home. I was only there for 9 hours but they were well spent. Little oatmeal in the morning was provided, the bed was very comfy and the room was clean. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend her home!

  • Perfect if you want to visit six flags magic mountain or hurricane harbor. (just 10min away) The room is equipped with literally everything you could possibly need. Water, coffee, hygienic articles,... We also got recommendations for restaurants (tommies Cafe for breakfast and Las rocas for dinner). Keep in mind the kinds are lively, they were in bed by 9-10pm so sleeping was no problem.

  • Brendie’s place is hands down one of my favorite places I’ve stayed at through Airbnb. Brendie is very quick to respond to her guests and is extremely thoughtful and accommodating. Well my stay date, Brendie reached out with recommendations on places to eat since I told her I haven’t personally visited the area before. Once we arrived, Brendie was there to greet us and show us the room, bathroom, and amenities. The entire house and room was very cozy and welcoming. Both Brendie and her husband were very kind and made us feel at home. The amenities provided were unbelievable as Brendie and her husband really put thought into making their guests feel relaxed and stress-free. Both Brendie and her husband were a delight to talk to as we talked about our similar interests in Dave Ramsey, her husband’s woodworking, their boys, and so much more. As mentioned in the original listing, Brendie and her husband have 3 young boys - all of which were so adorable. They were never a trouble to us and the noise level was not high at all. They were so friendly once we met them all the following morning too! Overall, this was such a pleasant experience and we plan on staying here again in the near future. I would highly recommend Brendie’s place to anyone and will love to come back again soon. Thanks again Brendie and family!

The house was clean, gorgeously decorated, and the room was so comfortable. Their backyard was also great for relaxing and chatting in nature.

  • I had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Tony and Angie's home. Simple, clean accommodations and easy conversation. Not to mention fresh eggs for breakfast, straight from the source; a small free range flock in the backyard. I left well rested, well feed and feeling like I'd spent time with friends.

Welcome to your luxury suite! Enjoy your own private room and bathroom in our French industrial villa. Our home is just outside the hustle and bustle of "Awesometown" Valencia in a secluded, quiet, ultra-private, upscale community. In a 10 minute drive, you could be at Six Flags Magic Mountain and all the shopping you could dream of. But for now, sit back and enjoy the suite life ;-)
Our neighbors are awesome, and we respect them by treating our guests like family. This means we expect you would be quiet when the neighborhood is quiet, and keep all outside areas tidy. Thanks!

My place is close to Interstate 5, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities mountain recreation areas Lake Pyramid Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area. You’ll love my place because of backs on to Los Padres National Forest good for hiking, great views, clean air extremely comfortable California king size bed parking for motor homes, RVs and off-road vehicals
  • My kind of place. Gilbert is friendly and accommodating. The western decor appeals to my tastes and fits the community. The house is very clean and quiet. The bed is perfect for my sleep preferences. Wifi works well. The bedroom window had a nice foregroud scenic view of the pinion pine forest. The living room has a view of the top of forested Fraizer Mt. It is on a residential street but I think selecting the "residential" tag would be misleading as Fort Karson is on the edge of small rural town. I'll come back again.

    Bob2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was the best and i'll definitely be back again!

    Helayna2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived later than expected and Gilbert called one of the local eateries to arrange for them to stay open so we could grab some take out.

  • This guy has a beautiful house, the downstairs is where we stayed and it was very nice, comfortable and clean. There's a private bathroom upstairs and even a second bathroom downstairs right next to the room! In only a five-minute walk there's a restaurant a car wash and a grocery store! The mall is only a 20 minute drive away too!!!

    David2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night but we felt very comfortable in Gilbert's cozy home. Communication was very easy, he made sure that the check in was easy and he welcomed us even though we arrived very late. I can only recommend staying there!

  • This was just what we needed. A quiet place near the mountains close to a really great trail up Mt Pinos. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing.

  • Didn't get to meet Kate, but we came in quite late and she was great about our late arrival. The cottage was perfect for us as we just needed a place to sleep on our road trip, but I would recommend this place if you are visiting the area or hiking in the mountains that are literally across the street. A great option that feels hours away from LA, when really you're quite close. The cottage is behind an organic coffee shop (that unfortunately we did not try) and is walking distance to a nice vegetarian restaurant that we had breakfast at.

    Brandon2016-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for the price! We arrived while Kate was out but had no trouble getting into the cottage. When she arrived, Kate was very courteous and very welcoming--exactly how an AirBNB host should be. It's very easy to get to while being nestled in enough to give substantial privacy. The cottage itself is a bit older so for those expecting a five-star hotel, this isn't the right choice. However, the amount of room, full kitchen with all utensils and dishes needed, and washer/dryer make it a great choice for anyone staying a while. We didn't have a chance to use the fire pit but there is one available and a brief glance outside at night showed that it would have been a great experience to sit out under the stars next to the fire. The organic coffee shop in front of the cottage was very convenient. All in all, a great experience for the price.

    David2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • I accidentally booked this place thinking it was close to Bakersfield (which it was not). We made it into an adventure and had a nice time at Kate's place. It was walking distance to a great vegetarian restaurant and we used Kate's wifi to stream football after dinner. It fit the bill for us. We needed a comfortable place to crash for the night. I would note that there is a rooster in a pen directly next to the bedroom that woke us up. Not a problem as we were getting up early to drive to northern Cali but wanted to point that out.

    Rachel2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little cottage. We loved it! Had everything you needed, would definitely come back.

    Natalie2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a very pleasant stay here! The cottage was nice and cozy. Perfect for getting away from the city. It was hard to find especially in the dark as we arrived close to midnight. It's located literally behind the coffee shop! Kate was very accommodating to our late arrival and left the lights on for us to enter. My only concern was that the stove did not have a fan so it was hard to cook since there wasn't anything to filter smoke. It wasn't a big deal though and there are plenty of restaurants very close by. I would definitely stay here again!

    Leslie2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice little cabin. Just a few minutes off the I5 in an area where there aren't many hotels, so it was great to find this place. It's right next to a cafe to get coffee and breakfast.

Charming, cozy and off the beaten track of city life. The perfect place for a romantic getaway or a peaceful writer’s retreat. More stars than Hollywood on Academy Awards night! The cabin is a guesthouse on a ¾ acre terraced property with a bedroom and reading area upstairs. Downstairs is a newly renovated bathroom, a kitchenette. Close by the cabin is a chicken coop with 3 chickens. 2 dogs also live on the property but are usually not home during the day on weekdays.
  • Susan's cabin is an absolute delight. It is so quaint and sweet and tastefully decorated. It is truly a retreat, as it was so quiet and peaceful while we were there. Susan communicated very well, was there to greet us, and had a bottle of wine chilling for us in the refrigerator. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a glass and later around the fire pit, where she joined us for a chat. She was always readily available if we had any questions or needs and is a great host. Her place is a perfect get-away from the city.

    Shirley 2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect getaway from LA esp as only about 2 hrs away. Lots of trails nearby to soak in the mountain nature and fresh air. Susan's rental is quaint, very clean, and sits on a lovely piece of property. She kindly introduced herself and offered a small breakfast and juice. And I recommend trying The Red Dot restaurant. Excellent vegetarian food and great service.

    Rachel2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very pleasant experience to stay 2nights in this adorable cabin. Susan is extremely friendly and helpful. And she is always there when we needed help. The yard is super beautiful and calm with plenty of followers and a fire pit. Prior to our arrival, Susan added a microwave for us, she also prepared fresh orange juice and croissants for all of us. In the meanwhile, she also gave us a lot of freedom and space to do our own things. It was really a great experience. Thank you so much Susan for having us! We highly recommend this place for people who wants to spend time around the area.

  • We really enjoyed visiting Frazier Park with it's quiet, little town, beautiful drives and Susan's cute cabin. Like it was stated in previous reviews, it was close in proximity to Susan's home but we had all the privacy we needed/wanted, and she was responsive if we have had a question. It was clean and felt spacious enough for us. It was so very sweet of her to leave wine, fruit and pastries for us upon arrival. We loved access to the beautiful yard, BBQ and fire pit!!! Loved them!! It was rather warm in the cabin when we were there with weather in the 70s and 80s but there is a fan provided in the upstairs bedroom and we brought along a box fan and window fan which were a perfect help. It seems there are plenty of heating options for the winter. We had a wonderful getaway weekend and look forward to staying again in the near future. Thank you for being a wonderful host, Susan!!!

    Gina2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely cabin that has lots of thoughtful touches by Susan. The bed is super comfortable and all of the amenities are well provided for. My only feedback is that it got very warm in the cabin during our stay over July, although a fan is provided that helps. The cabin is also about 10 feet from the main house which was fine for us but maybe not for those who want absolute privacy.

    Sarah2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very quaint and beautifully appointed. There were fresh mini danishes, fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for me when I arrived and despite the very late hour, Sue greeted me at the gate with a smile. The mountain setting was breathtaking and there was a comprehensive compendium in the cabin of outdoor activities and food options. Would love to go back one day!

Welcome to my mountain retreat complete with three bedrooms, two full baths and ample parking. This beautiful home borders the Los Padres National Forest. • Cassie was easy to get a hold of, if necessary. The whole stay beginning too end went so smoothly that there was no need to reach her. She did keep in contact with me, though. The place itself was so nice. It was very warm and inviting. It felt like home. It was soooo quiet, and the patio out back faced beautiful hills and greenery. It was nice to have my coffee out there and watch some wildlife. If you are looking to relax and get away this is the place for you. And a nice size house at a great price.

  • Terri was a very kind and helpful host during our trip. She was great with communication and came to our assistance when we had trouble with the heater. We brought along a dog, who also experienced Terri's hospitality -- she was very friendly to him and even gifted him some treats :) The cabin is charming and quite spacious. The neighborhood is fun, lots of hills in the near distance -- located relatively close to both I-5 and CA-126.

  • Terri gave us complete space and privacy but was still responsive when we needed her. I loved the rustic cabin design, look and feel. I felt like I was at an oasis. We went for a jog around the block in the morning. We grabbed some dinner nearby at the Castaic Village Shopping Center which was about 15 mins/8 mile drive away from her place. Then (really close by the shopping center) checked out the lake/watershed nearby at Castaic Lake/Lagoon along Lake Hughes Road to catch the sunset and watch the fishermen fish along the lake. (It's a boat launch that had some picnic tables and a playground). We went to sleep to the sound of crickets, woke up to sound of birds and distant roosters (they were not super loud) and enjoyed the stars at night. She also left us some fruits, cookies and tea, which was a nice touch. We also asked to borrow her cooler which we prepared sandwiches for 6 flags and left in the car so that worked out really well for us! The place is so cute and simple. The bed was comfy and we had no complaints. Of course, being out in the country, there were a couple of earwigs lurking around so make sure you are really ok with bugs. It wasnt a big deal to us. There was also a friendly cat that greeted us and came into our cabin. That was totally optional, we could have not let the cat in but he/she was so cute, and we petted him/her and after a few mins of inspecting our belongings, he/she walked away and we never saw him/her again. We wished we had a luggage stand to keep our luggage off the ground. We stayed two nights, and originally there to be close to 6 flags but ended up enjoying the getaway from LA for a bit as we toured downtown, Hollywood and Universal studios. It was like a vacation from our vacation. We stayed 2 nights. Highly reccommended it! There also seemed to be another cabin next to us that had other folks staying there. Perhaps another AirBnB place, not sure.

  • Rolf is a great host. He is a man who has stories. At night, you can see stars all over the sky despite the air pollution in LA. There are a sheep and plenty of horses, and two dogs. Rolf provides professional horse riding lessons as well. The only advice I have for ladies who are interested in taking horse riding lessons with Rolf is that no shorts and skirts during a lesson, wear a pair of pants or jeans.

  • This was our second time at Red Rock, and once again we had a wonderful stay. For those with young children, there have been some great new additions, such as the expanded play area and small petting zoo. This is a safe, relaxing environment for families where you can let your little ones wander, play, and let their imaginations run wild!

    Ian2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Rolf and Patti are wonderful hosts. They are very attentive to your needs and yet also allow you to have a private time with your family. They open their property to guests that makes you feel welcome and still safe. The property has horses, miniature donkeys and horses, ducks, hens, and a goat. Patti has a green thumb and there are lovely planted cacti, flowers, vegetables planted on the property. I love it here and it is a special place for me and my family.

    Kara2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Rolf and Patty were the best. They treated us like we were part of their family. The kids play area next to guesthouse was perfect for my 5 and 3 year old. The kids also loved feeding the animals and riding the horses. Great family memories on the ranch.

    Alan2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience there was great, including the views and ambiance during the day and at night. Rolf met us at the gate and quickly got us settled. He was very easy to deal with.

    Matt2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rolf and the accommodations were perfect :-) We arrived quite late, and even though it was 1:30am, Rolf greeted us warmly! The 6 of us friends were extremely low maintenance (literally only needed beds to sleep), but Rolf's quiet ranch was very much appreciated after a full day at Magic Mtn.

  • The house is very clean and is a good size. It is also superbly furnished. Lots of nice touches. We also like the Frazer Park town a lot. It is a small town that makes you feel relaxed. Everyone there was very friendly. We had a little snow while we were there. Angela was a great host with excellent communication.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful surrounded by hills. No traffic lights, no sirens at night. Nice hiking trails. Close to Castaic lake and Six Flags.
  • Ira is a very kind, down to earth, and attentive host. He r cozy cabin in the mountains has homey feel with a private attached bath with a huge shower, comfortable bunk beds, and a private portable air-conditioner. (100+° in the summer) The room is quite small but perfect for two. This location is very close to Six Flags. The area is quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains. (Get cameras ready). She offered us breakfast. Ira is a wonderful host and wonderful person. Definitely will return.

  • Play for great fabulous connected to the bedroom we have parking and he may feel very comfortable and welcoming in her home

    nahed2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The room is small, and there is not much of a cell signal (albeit, there is WiFi, and a signal booster in the living room if needed). But then again, after a day's class in the sweltering heat of the Southern California sun, Ira's place is a homey welcome for just wanting to relax and unwind. Clean room, cozy bed, nice warm shower and a portable air cooler wrapped up my night - all prepping me up for the next day's activities. That said, Ira is a very welcoming and generous host. Soft spoken and very attentive. It is unfortunate that I couldn't stay longer as had an early class the following day; however, will definitely return given the opportunity.

    Juan Alfred2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment is well located in a quiet area next to Magic Mountain. In the bedroom there's enough space for two people, and in your private bathroom you'll find toiletries, towels and pretty much everything. You can also use the spacious kitchen. Ira is a perfect host who will make your stay as pleasant as possible!

  • Diana was an attentive host and was flexible to our needs. The cottage is clean, cute and very comfortable. The fireplace in the bedroom was cozy and relaxing and the large sliding glass window in the bedroom overlooks open space with a nice view. The bed is comfortable and quaint. A block from the cottage are some jeep roads to the top of the hill for quick panoramic views. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Red Spot Vegetarian Restaurant in Freizer Park - the food was outstanding and very heartfelt service. We are planning another stay at this cute Airbnb. A lot to explore in the area.

    Kent2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great experience for me. The cabin was great. It felt very homey, cozy, and quiet! Everything had a nice set up. Also loved the extra room upstairs! Washer and dryer was so nice to have. Everything was so much better than the pictures. Diane was very responsive and explained everything so clearly, very happy of having her as my host! Will love to be back here. I had a great time at a great place.

    anna2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute place and the pictures don't really do the inside much justice. I was very pleasantly surprised how much nicer and rustic the inside was as compared to the pics. Very quiet at night with good views. If you're looking for a big patio you need to look elsewhere, but there is nothing behind you except a big hill so the quiet factor is huge. If you have a small car the driveway is dirt so if there is going to be crazy weather like over President's day you might have issues as there was huge ruts from the rain. Not Diane's fault, obviously, but something to consider. Frazier Park itself is really cute and has a nice, but expensive, grocery store. We tried to cook a lot so that was very helpful. There's also a pizza place and liquor store so good times.

    Brian2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really wonderful trip. Arrival was a breeze - the location is remote but very easy to find using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. The key handover was seamless. Diane was on call for anything we needed but otherwise unseen. The house was just wonderful - you know one of those houses where someone has really paid attention to what the surroundings might demand and what the guests might need? It was one of those - roomy, cool, bug free, and even had coffee in the cupboard in the morning. The town itself also has good restaurants and all the amenities you need. Great great trip.

    clarice2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was super accommodating! The cabin backs up to Forest Service lands that has a nice little walk to the top of a hill with a great view of the town below. We enjoyed going to nearby Pyramid Lake and Pine Mountain Club. The cabin is definitely cozy and I'm sure children would get a kick out of the loft room above the living room.

    Kevin2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • House was very nice and in a cool area. Plenty of room for the three of us staying there. We took Diane's advice and drove up to the Mt Pinos parking lot for stargazing. Incredible. I was disappointed that there was no wi-fi, but at least it prevented me from working on the long weekend.

    Andrew2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Diane's place is cute as a button, with everything you might possibly need for a comfortable stay. Right up the street is an entryway into hiking trails and beautiful vistas of the valley.

Modern, cozy, and warm home 5 minutes away from Six Flags Magic Mountain. 27 miles from Universal Studios. A little over an hour away from Disneyland, SeaWorld, and Legoland. An hour away from most beaches. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac on a quiet street. • Everything was great! House is beautiful and the space was exactly what we needed.

  • This was a beautiful family friendly home in a great neighborhood. It was close enough where everything we needed was accessible but it was secluded enough to feel like a vacation. Valerie was a gracious host and communication was effortless. The home exceeded our expectations; it was in pristine condition; the layout was absolutely ideal for a multi family group which we were. The layout allowed everyone to mingle by day and retreat to their own spaces at night. I was surprised and pleased how kid friendly the home was which helped tremendously. Other than a few very nearby coffee and grocery runs, we chose not to leave during our stay. I would definitely stay in this home again and highly recommend that others do as well. Made for a great trip!

    Crystal2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place!

    Kevin2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fairly large house near the 5 freeway and thus close to many southern California attractions. My family and I (total of 7) actually stayed at this house as our current home (5 minutes away) was undergoing significant construction. Valerie's home was fairly large, provided plenty of space for my family and was easy to access. The home was a great deal and she was a great communicator. I would highly recommend families to stay at her home!

    Matt2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • So close to six flags yet a great secluded neighborhood. Had a great time in Valeries home! She is very responsive to questions. I appreciated how organized the house is, labels everywhere to make it easy for us to find what we were looking for! Lots of board games, comfortable couches, lots of beds & a huge bean bag in master bedroom!! We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed and more! Beautiful home!

    Justin2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great option for those looking for a place to stay in close proximity to all that the Valencia/Santa Clarita area offers! Valerie was wonderful to work with!

    Randy2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The property was even better than it was explained. Very clean and spacious. We spent plenty of family time in the back yard which is spacious and well kept. Inside the house there's plenty of games and toys to keep the kids entertained for days. During our stay we got to the house late and experienced a problem with the door code. We contacted our host Valerie and she promptly resolved our dilemma. We enjoyed or stay and would definitely stay there again.

    William2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for my family. It felt like home and the kids enjoyed all the board games. Although we only used the house to eat breakfast, shower and sleep we would totally rent it again. The host was very responsive to all my questions. The reason for 4 stars is because the house wasn't ready on time as previous discussion. The host did allow us to leave our bags while they cleaned the house which was super nice of them.

  • Beautiful views, generous hospitality and accommodating of our extra requests. We had a great stay. Highly recommend.

    Sabrina2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Terry was very responsive and accommodating leading up to and during the trip. He allowed me and my family to check-in early, even as he was dealing with a family emergency. During the stay he was quick to answer the few questions we had. The space was great - 2 comfortable queen beds in air conditioned rooms, full kitchen with our own refrigerator, comfortable living space, and tons of TV channels and DVDs to choose from. The pool was great to have outside and the view from it was impressive. The whole stay felt very private despite Terry being steps away. The only knocks I have are the jacuzzi was being repaired so we weren't able to use it (despite Terry's best efforts to get it to work) and the water pressure in the shower was not great. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend Terry and his place to anyone!

Nestled in the hills of the Los Padres National Forest, you will find our charming guesthouse. Nights are quiet with beautiful views of the stars. The house has a complete kitchen, washer and dryer, Television with DVD player and free Wi-Fi. A short walk (or ride) from the house leads to access to trails in the National Forest. Our home is conveniently located off Interstate 5 -- 45 miles from Bakersfield and 65 miles from Los Angeles -- giving guests access to both the rural and city life.
If you are interested in bringing horses, a neighbor two doors down the road offers boarding. Outside pens (arena & round pen) are $25/night per horse; barns stalls are $35/night per horse. She provides water and you provide the feed and hay. If you would her to provide alfalfa hay and feed the horses there will be an additional $10 charge per horse. She also has plenty of trailer parking space on her property free of charge. Please contact me directly and I will forward her contact information to you.
With only eight houses on the street -- a private dirt road -- our neighborhood is friendly and fairly quiet. As we all have acreage you will be greeted in the morning by the occasional crowing rooster and possibly serenaded to sleep by a coyote's howl. Should any problems arise, all the neighbors will freely offer a helping hand.
  • Laurie was such a good host. The place don't look like the pictures... ITS MUCH PRETTIER AND SOOO MUCH BETTER!!! Loved it! Pictures don't do justice to this lovely place. Loved how clean it was upon our arrival and I loved that it was well equipped with everything you need and more... it is very close to all we wanted to do in this trip and the way Laurie provides detailed information of available hikes, restaurants and things to do it's just amazing! The bed is soooo comfortable I took a 4 hour "nap"... We will definitely come back and stay at the Oliver's place...

  • Really lovely spot. My boyfriend and I were driving from San Francisco to Arizona and needed a nice place to stay for the night. We were in and out quite quickly, but really enjoyed the time we had there. It's very comfortable, clean, easy to get to, and Laurie was very quick to respond to my questions. And the bed was a dream to sleep on. I will definitely keep this on my list for LA-area places to stay.

  • These guys are the nicest people we have met so far on our trip up the west coast. We arrived at their house after a long drive and everything was spotless, clear and comfortable. They left out a concise booklet that contained all the info about the house and the local area. They really invited us into their home, we got to learn so much about them and even got a short lesson in smoking meat. They went above and beyond with their hospitality! Could not recommend them more, what wonderful people!

We are a rural neighborhood just outside of the Santa Clarita area. Just a little north of Magic Mountain down the 5 Freeway. Very quiet simple neighborhood. It's a nice rustic feel only a few miles from a Starbucks and only 15 minutes to Magic Mountain.
  • This cottage is very good value for its price. The bed is super comfortable! The only issue is the lack of cell phone service here. There's wifi, but calls and text messages did not work for me while here.

  • Although we never got to meet John, we were very happy with this stay. We were greeted with a personalized letter with instructions of the place. It was very private and cozy place, much like a hotel but for a fraction of the price with more amenities. The bed was more comfortable than we expected with a MEMORY FOAM top. The only thing was that there was only 1 memory foam pillow and a regular pillow which lost most of its fluff. For 2 people it would have been nice if we each had a memory foam pillow. But not a big deal! Check in was very easy with no issues there. It was very chilly that night but there was a small space heater that was strong enough to heat the tiny little space. I ended up turning it off half way through the night because it was doing too good of a job! We will definitely stay again if we make it out to LA again!

  • It was a cute little drive up the mountain to get to John's place. It isn't very hot this time of year so everything is green and lush. We enjoyed the drive up. John's place was easy to find, and he had a candle waiting for us when we arrived. He left us a welcome note, with the WiFi and instructions to contact him if we should have a problem. We didn't - but we kept in contact anyway. He's really fast to respond. What I especially liked about his place was the fact that the bed was memory foam, the sheets were made in heaven, AND.... he's the first host to include a Brita Water Jug in the mini fridge. We have a very hard time getting signal with Verizon wireless on two phones one from Nevada and one from Texas. But, his internet helped us contact with friends. It's a great little budget friendly place. I'd stay there again!

  • Johns place was perfect in every way. He went out of his way to make my stay great.

  • This Airbnb was definitely not the best or most fleshed out living space that we have stayed in, but that's expected at the price point it came in at. The good - the bed was amazing. Great mattress and pillows made up for other missing amenities, by far. The alright - the location was good enough. It was very secluded, which wasn't a bad thing by any means. Close to the freeways and a supermarket, but if you're looking for any night life, this is not going to be your spot. The bad - nothing really was BAD. The saying that you get what you pay for holds especially true - no TV, no stove or microwave. Some smallish upgrades that could really up the value, though the value is still definitely there. All in all it was a great stay. It was what we expected, and the bed really did make things that much better. John was a good communicator and quick to respond, which was definitely appreciated. I would recommend this place, but as long as you are understanding of the concessions in amenities you will be making.

  • The guest house had everything you'd want for overnight accommodation and John was a great host. I'll see if it's available next time I travel to the area.

  • Rustic and comfortable space for some R&R outside of the city. Kids and adults both had a wonderful time. Beds are comfortable and the house is spacious both indoors and out. Some tips: - Bring swimming shoes for the swimming hole - Only Verizon phones get service here but WiFi works very well Thank you, James, for opening up your home. We had a wonderful time!

  • One of a kind, fantastic rustic experience!

  • James is a lovely host, and willing to work with your needs for a secluded, and relaxed vacation. The property is gorgeous, and the home is comfortable. Our group really enjoyed their stay, with the ability to walk down to the creek, or up into the hills. The home is open and airy.

  • James and Hillary are fantastic hosts. The location is absolutely incredible and beautiful. The nature is gorgeous with all sorts of birds and animals everywhere and there is an awesome private beach with swimming hole just down a path from the house. The views of the brook are spectacular and the house is rustic and charming, great for nighttime fires and stargazing. The location is only accessible by small suspension bridge, so be prepared (it's totally safe, but if you're afraid of heights, just know that). A lovely 45 min drive from here to Ojai and there are hiking trails all over the place. An awesome way to get away from LA for a bit, only an hour and 15 min away or so.

  • This place is perfect for a family with young children interested in exploring, playing in a small tree house and swimming in a creek. The swimming hole is awesome and the home is a wonderful space for closeness with one another at mealtime and sleep time. It is in a beautiful canyon, isolated and safe. The stars at night are wonderful and there are nice areas for short hikes. You must cross the suspension bridge to get to the house, but James will transport your heavy luggage on the service road. Bring swimming shoes for walking in the creek (slippery algae) and floating tubes for relaxing.
