Restaurants, pub, museum, shopping & Trans Canada Trail within a 5 minute walk. Nordic Skiing&snow shoeing at China Ridge. Great fishing, biking&gold panning. 45 mins to Manning Park. Walk the Similkameen River on the TCT maintained year round. Cross the Bridge Of Dreams or walk through the old train tunnel to visit the Historic Trestle over the Tulameen River.
Funky old home with lots of places to explore. Step back in time when you look at the wood floors and antique decor.

  • Great stay. Yes, as other folks have noted, it could use a little facelift on the outside, which it seems they are doing. The inside is clean and comfortable with some nice character.

Come visit us at the River House in the rugged, rustic and real Similkameen valley. The views are mesmerizing, the beds are warm and comfy, and the hospitality is kind and friendly. We have stunning river and mountain views out of every window. Watch the river lazily float by and the eagles soar high above. Come stay in one of our three gorgeous rooms. We have warm, cozy beds to curl up in. let all your troubles melt away as you slip into a recharging slumber between the soft sheets.
In the morning come down and experience our delicious continental breakfast. With scrumptious warm sourdough bread and an aromatic cup of hot coffee. This will start your day off right. Come see all the amazing amenities the Similkameen valley has to offer!
We are located in a wonderful central location. A 20 min drive to Princeton (Where friends and rivers meet). Where there is great hiking, horse back riding, the gold commissioner and many more things to explore. OR a short 1/2 hour drive to Keremeos where you can experience the fruit and veggie stands or have a wonderful meal at one of the many restaurants in town. Or if going out is not your style sit by the river with a good book or painting and watch the river roll by in the backyard.
  • Ashtine's place is stunning! Really convenient for a stopover on hwy 3. Comfiest bed and great shower and bathroom with all the supplies you could need. Sweet breakfast included. Loved sitting on the porch in the evening and hearing the river run by. Only thing to note ... There is no kitchen and no nearby places to eat so if you're arriving late, be sure to eat first. I missed this when reading the listing but Jesse and Ashtine were kind enough to heat up our pizza. Thanks for a great stay!

    Rosie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ashtine and Jesses house is located right next to the river and offers really cozy little rooms and a shared bathroom. The hosts are really friendly and kind and we got a quick answer to all our questions in front. The breakfast in the morning made our stay perfect. Especially the selfmade muffins. It was the perfect place to stay on our way trough the mountains. Highly recommended!!

    Eric2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Even if we could only stay one night, it was a great stay at Ashtine & Jesse. They are super nice and helpful at all times. The rooms are even more cozy than in the pictures. The house and the owners have a great eye for that certain something. Nothing was missing, we even got homemade muffins for breakfast! We would definitely book this domicile again.

  • This place was paradise for us. We needed an escape from the city and wanted to go somewhere warm and inviting...we found the perfect place. Penny and Darren were so welcoming and helpful. The place itself is cosy with a wood stove that will keep you warm and provide a truly rustic experience. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best sleeps. The kitchen was well-stocked and we brought a ton of food so we had everything we needed to cook delicious meals. There were all sorts of cute touches that made the cabin feel like a home away from home. The area was so peaceful and serene. The snow and the trees were really beautiful. We went on walks around the area and had the most lovely time. Lastly, the animals!! I met just the friendliest cat on the first night there and the dogs were so sweet and fun. Penny and Darren have created their own slice of heaven and I feel incredibly fortunate that they shared it with us. If you're looking to experience the peace and simplicity of rural life with excellent hospitality I highly recommend staying here. Will definitely go back!

    Erin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We took the cabin in the dead of winter so we didn't get a chance to see the grounds or enjoy the surrounding area, however it was a wonderful opportunity to disconnect from the world for awhile. No TV and no Telus cell service here. Wood heat, but fully equipped kitchen, everything else works as expected. Very clean and comfortable, rustic but stylish. Would be fantastic for exploring in season. If you are looking for a cabin experience, would definitely recommend.

This newly renovated cottage is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Similkameen Valley in the central interior of Southern British Columbia. Located in the historic village of Hedley, the cottage is one of the original miner's cottages built during the gold mining boom that began in the area in the late 1800's.
The entire cottage is for your own use. There is a kitchen equipped with a bar fridge, toaster, microwave and convection ovens, hot plate, and electric kettle. Coffee and tea are provided. In the living room is a wall-mounted tv with access to Netflix. On the small covered patio there is a bistro table and chairs where you can sit and take in the mountains. Parking is on the street out front.
Visit the local wineries. Float down the Similkameen from Bromley Rock. Cool your feet in Hedley Creek. Apex Ski Resort, Nickel Plate Nordic Center, and Manning Park Resort are all within easy driving distance. There you can find skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking. The area around Hedley is famous for its hunting and fishing. Or just sit and drink in the scenery with a glass of the local vintage in hand.
  • We had an amazing time in the beautiful Okanagan-Similkameen valley! Penny’s cottage is so cozy and welcoming! It was so incredibly amazing to walk in a warm cottage after 4 hours tough drive! Thanks so much Penny!

    Serena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage. It was a very cozy space. The fresh bread was a nice touch!

    Angus2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Penny was incredibly responsive and very thoughtful, left us some freshly baked bread and jam. Cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway

    Qureish2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Penny’s cottage was a lovely place to stay! When we arrived there was delicious homemade bread, jam and butter left for us on the table, which I thought was a nice touch. The cottage was spotless and the bed was very comfortable! We had dinner and watched movies by the fire. I would definitely stay at Penny’s cottage again. We had a very relaxing stay.

    Alison2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage in the quaint little town of Hedley, was lovely to be greeted by Tony with a hot loaf of bread when we arrived. Such a comfortable bed, peaceful surroundings and toasty warm after a day in the snow. Would highly recommend this place and especially for a longer stay as its just over an hour from Manning park. Thank you Penny and Tony.

    Gemma2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely cabin- my friend and I had a great one night stay while we snowboarded up in manning. I would stay here again! Hedley is a really picturesque little town and the views waking up were gorgeous.

    Marie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy place to stay. We booked in one of our guys who was working in the area and he was very happy at Penny's. Host gave amazing hospitality from the fresh loaf of homemade bread to the follow up messages when our guy had to leave the area after a big snow dump. Nice place to stay with friendly, caring people. Thanks Penny, we will certainly stay again if we are ever back in the area.

    Island Architectural Millwork Ltd2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Penny's cottage. It was very tranquil. The bed is comfortable, and the decor is cozy. The door frames are short (as mentioned in a few of the reviews), but my 6'5" hubby only smacked his head once on a half awake bathroom trip (he learned quickly haha). Penny is lovely, and was a wonderful host. Overall a beautiful quiet place that we look forward to returning to.

This historical cabin is located in the old boom town of Coalmont. Enriched in the days of yersteryears, you will remember what was and leave appreciating what is. Cabin is equipped with most necessities in the kitchen, toaster oven, hotplate, griddle, fridge, pots & pans, all you need for a meal in the country. Cozy with base board heaters, hot water tank and an indoor fireplace. Outside a coal BBQ, outdoor furniture and a fire pit. Unplug & enjoy the simple life at The Cabin in Coalmont.
Private spot with lots of space
The property is in Coalmont but located at the very end of Main Street. It really is a very private spot. You will not have much interaction from the neighbours, I tend to put up a friendly wave when they pass on the ATV’s or walk by.
  • The perfect getaway from the city. We loved having no signal, all the games provided and coziness of the cabin. Great things to do around the area. We will be back for sure. Thanks Nikki!

  • Quaint little Cabin at the end of the road! Do head down the road to the watering hole

    Matthew2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • A great little house in a semi-ghost town. Well appointed cabin with very good house manual. Overall, excellent place and we would stay again. A few issues: 1. The house key is accessed via a lock box. Nikki was great at sending the combo but failed to make it clear in advance that their is absolutely no cell service at the house, which means if you didn't write down or remember the code (which I didn't) we ended up driving around trying to find cell reception to log in to airbnb. This is a major oversight and was quite frustrating. 2. Mice in the ceiling in the bedroom made scratching noises constantly. Not loud but annoying enough to require earplugs. 3. The two surrounding full ghost towns are not actually towns, meaning there are no structures, just empty areas where towns used to be. This is not anything to do with the cabin but is notable as we expected old structures to explore. Thanks for hosting us, Nikki.

    Whelm2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time in Nikki's place- very cozy, rustic and homey, which was what we were looking for. Quiet neighborhood but also pretty private in the large yard . The bed was awesome, loved the wood stove and exploring around the area. Great to walk on the KVT trial along the river which is right behind the house. Great get away for a long weekend.

    Jeff2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cozy little cabin that was super private. Favourite thing we enjoyed most was the fire pit. Nikki also had everything stocked up that you could think of. Location was great- surrounded by trails and lakes all around you. Definitely would stay again.

    Monica2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Seriously this place is a Gem hidden away in the back part of town it is very private and lots to do around the cabin and around town Nikki is a great host as well, check in and check out was a breeze we can’t wait to be back thanks a lot Nikki

  • Our stay at the inn was just as I expected, perhaps slightly better than expected. Decent beds, a clean bathroom, and a kind host were all what I had hoped for. I was pleased that the Tv was a decent size, and the air conditioning worked really well. Right off of highway three, and close to a pool/waterpark, it worked well as an affordable sleep on our family road trip.

Cozy little guest house located in the beautiful mountains of Hedley, B.C. It has a full kitchen with all the basics. Living room , Dining area, 2 bedrooms , Bathroom with tub , Washer & dryer & a small patio. We also have Wi-Fi. Parking out front or on side street. Please advise at the time of booking if you are bringing a pet (with details) thank you.
The guest house is located on the back of our property & if you need anything or have any questions we live in the main house.
The Country market & park for kids is just across the street. The Hedley museum is worth a visit & I recommend having a piece of lemon meringue pie while you are there. Bromley Rock is our beach & a great place to relax or go tubing down the river. It's only a 12 minute drive to the west. Also 20 to 30 minutes to the east there are plenty of wineries to check out & enjoy. Close by there is hiking , fishing & you can ski at Apex Mountain in the winter.
  • We loved staying here! We have a little one and it was the perfect space! Such friendly hosts!

  • The place is clean cozy and great value Bob and Lisa are kind welcoming and helpful We will be staying again😊😊😊

  • Robert is a great host. We arrived at his house with some car issues and he directly ask if he can help. He made a few calls and his friends came over and looked at our car and helped us. The small town Hedeley is very cute and you can directly feel that everybody knows each other as its is really far off from bigger cities (Penticton is 1h drive away). The cabin was cozy, clean and the kitchen incl appliances were all working and we could cook great meals there. The view is fantastic as this cabin is located in a valley within the lower Okanagan mountains. We can definitely recommend this place.

They have thought of everything imaginable to make you feel at home, from the welcome basket to the house coats and beautiful linens. The home itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the luxuries of home. The location is amazing, you are surrounded by nature and wildlife. Above and beyond a 5 star location. We had an amazing stay, and will definitely be going back in the future!

Our log cabin is located across the road from a fishing lake and the area has great ATV and biking trails. The property also backs onto the KVR for easy access to the trail system. It is a quiet community most suited to those who are looking for R&R. The town of Princeton, BC is about 40 mins away on paved road and Summerland, BC is about 45 mins away on mainly gravel road.
There is no WIFI available. The TV is available for movies only.
Hang by the lake all day or venture into Princeton for ice cream or pizza, or into Summerland to experience the great train robbery or go wine touring at some of the country’s best wineries!
  • A perfect little cabin to enjoy the many trails and outdoor wilderness activities! Ice fishing on Link and Osprey Lakes are just down the road. The cabin stays nice and toasty with a cozy fire going. Enjoyed ourselves and Holly was most accommodating. Definitely recommend, any time of year!!

  • Very cozy rustic cabin with clean accommodations. Everything we needed was present at the cabin. The location is great and it’s easy to access all the nature in the area. Highly recommend this AirBnB, the host is great and responds fast to any questions or concerns.

  • Lovely cabin in a secluded location off the beaten track. The bed was really comfortable and there were loads of beautiful walks nearby. Make sure to check out 1775 winery in okanagan valley - the views are amazing. We also had loads of fun floating down the river in Penticton

    Matt2019-09-08T00:00:00Z

Just three hours from Vancouver. A two bedroom cabin in Hedley, a short drive to the heart of south Okanagan wine country as well as skiing at Apex mountain resort.End your day at our fun and comfortable cabin.
It feels like a remote off the grid space while still being close to so many amenities ,attractions and outdoor activities. This is Hedley folks a little bit rough around the edges ,our cabin hopefully smoothes these edges out a bit by offering comfortable beds ,living room with TV and Internet ,and a large deck to kick back on.
Hedley is a mix of old miners ,retirees, younger urban people and families looking for an inexpensive place to travel to in the okanagan that gives access to all the valley has to offer. We love the eclectic mix!
  • Great little getaway. Everything you need to be comfortable and pleasantly clean. Our family enjoyed the snow, peacefulness and kindness of a small town.

    Kristen2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Hedley is charming town and we enjoyed learning the mining history of the area. Tim's cottage was clean, comfortable and in a great location in the town. We appreciated the modern comforts (e.g. A/C, internet, HDTV, BBQ). Tim is a great host - polite and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommended!

    Windy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place was a great little get away. We found everything we needed in this stylish, rustic cabin setting. The surrounding mountains made coffee on the front deck each morning delightful. Our kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline and running around the yard. Friendly old mining town. We will definitely be back!

I am a family of one living in a 3 bedroom house in very small town Hedley, BC - about 4 hours drive from Vancouver. I offer a spare bedroom with a queen bed, ceiling fan, and adjacent bathroom. We have hiking, fishing, skiing, and WINERIES nearby. The Valley has been named as one of the 6 most under-rated wine valleys in the world by Vines Magazine and one of the top 5 wine regions you have never heard of by En Route Magazine.
I am a family of one living in a 3 bedroom house in very small town Hedley, BC - about 4 hours drive from Vancouver. I offer a spare bedroom with a queen bed, ceiling fan, and adjacent bathroom.
A recent guest says - "Your welcoming home is so central in Hedley, with it's wonderful Museum and historical attractions that take one back in time. There are many choices for day-trips both east and west of Hedley when you have enjoyed all of the local sights. Be sure to visit the Seniors' Centre and chat with the interesting oldtimers over morning coffee. Local crafts and garden produce are plentiful in the Summer. I'll return in late summer to obtain the local tomatoes." Another says - "This is an excellent location in downtown Hedley, a small town with a big history, good hiking, and The Hitching Post Restaurant [sadly burned down in 2018]. This Cabin is located about 1 km from the town centre and across from the beach. It is family friendly with large parking. Lots of bedrooms and space make this cabin ideal for a number of family gatherings.
The Tulameen treasure is ideally suited for big family gatherings. We can sleep 19 people, have three full bathrooms and a large gathering space with a fully stocked kitchen to make lasting memories. We are a 3 minute walk to beach access, or about a half a km to the public beach. The cabin offers lots of parking, a cool comfortable house in the summer and with the wood fire place it is warm and cozy in the winter.
We have neighbours on either side of us and we ask that you respect their privacy. We also ask that external noise be limited to 9 pm during the week and 11 pm on the weekends.
  • This is a beautiful large cabin and it was plenty big enough for our party of eight (two couples with two kids each). It's comfortable and clean, just a few minutes walk to the small private beach, and an easy walk to the little town. We really enjoyed our stay!!!

    Allison2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Raelene's cabin is a very comfortable space for a large family or group of friends. The bathrooms were especially clean and nicely updated. The kitchen is well stocked to do your own cooking. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Tulameen area.

  • Raelene’s cabin is beautiful, well located and cozy. Communication was outstanding and the lake was a blast. Keep in mind there is no cell service in the area!

    Kiel2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cabin was awesome. The photos don’t do it justice! We walked in to an authentic, clean space that worked so well for our group of families with young children. The walk to the lake was quick, but also a short drive to the provincial beach where we spent a whole day enjoying the sunshine. Raeleen was a very accommodating host - allowing us to book a last minute reservation. Check in was a breeze. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin to all of our family and friends!

    Gen2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were so lucky to be able to use this space, it’s in a perfect location and has lots of space for guests. We loved the open concept for visiting and the deck. Can’t wait to make some more memories here in the future. Thank you SO MUCH Raelene.

    Morgan2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, walk to private lake access Wifi and satellite tv were bonus Cabin much cooler than the extreme heat of outside, well shaded, comfortable beds, 3 full bathrooms This offered us everything we had hoped. And no street lights , tranquil We will return

    Blaine2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, and the house is beautiful! The town is quite small, but honestly the large and cozy home and the beach that’s not too far away are all you need. The town had a park where we played sports, and there’s a convenience store there too that pretty much has the essential small stuff you might need. My group and I went into Princeton for grocery shopping and gas which is only about 25 minutes away by car. Overall the people in the area were very approachable and it just seems like a very nice community. Raelene was an amazing host, she was so quick to respond and very accessible throughout our whole trip. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away to a small beach area for a vacation :)

    Melissa2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • So I am glad to say the pictures do not do this place justice. Raelene’s home is gorgeous, the downstairs is a basic basement packed with beds, and then there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor with another 4 beds upstairs together. Tulameen is such a little cute town with one store that has everything, we also made friends with their neighbours. Raelene was responsive at hand and she let us check out late so we could get ourselves organized to leave, instead of rushing out the door and forgetting something. I will be booking this place again, if it’s not already booked up!!!

Great location - The house is literally right off the highway, so it was super easy to find and yet also felt tucked away in this cozy spot surrounded by beautiful trees, a gorgeous river and the most amazing view. Hosts were fantastic - they provided great breakfast and lots of suggestions to enjoy the local scenes. Rooms were warm, cozy and very clean. Our toddler had so much fun she didn't want to leave! Over 200 feet of pristine lake front sandy beach, breathtaking views of Otter Lake and surrounding hills, a 1/2 acre of landscaped yard to enjoy badminton, boccie or just rolling in the grass, an 18' sqft dock for the ultimate in family water activity, a a newly renovated 1800 sqft lake front cottage that boasts heavenly beds, a new gourmet kitchen including an 8' island with stone counters, farmhouse sink and harvest table for 10.
The 1/2 acre gorgeous lakefront surroundings and cottage is ideal for large groups including weddings, family reunions, etc. The large grassy bench that leads itself to a cultured stone boarder and 200' long deep sandy beach creates a stunning vista that will showcase any important moment for family and friends.
Tulameen and Otter Lake offer traditional 4 season lifestyle and living. The summers provide many hot sunny days that allow for amazing outdoor fun. Otter Lake warms to very pleasant swimming temperatures from June to September. The lake also allows for motorized boats. Our lake house property is moments away from 501 kms of KVR biking trails as well as endless hiking and ATV routes.
  • Wonderful place! We enjoyed our time here so much! The home was beautifully updated and so clean! There were two kayaks to borrow, outdoor bocce, ladderball, sand toys, board games, our own private beach and beachside firepit, private dock for jumping in and leaving our boat in the water. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and the deck was lovely with a bbq and a propane fire pit (we didn’t use it as we used the one down on the beach). Our two tiny complaints were that a checkout checklist or home manual would be helpful (so you can keep those things that are to be done when leaving in mind but messaging the hosts they provided a list for us) and that the bedroom doors downstairs squeaked and could use a bit of greasing (only mentioning as there were small children sharing rooms). We very much enjoyed our stay. Hosts were patient with our many questions and worked hard to help us find dates that would work for us to come up and accommodate our family. We’d love to come again!

    Alissa2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The house was nice, clean, and well stocked but outside was the real treat. We enjoyed the dock, fire pit and grassy area for lawn games when it was too cool for swimming. We also made use of the kayaks which was a nice addition. Great communication with Cam, I felt we were in great hands from the start. Would definitely recommend and hope we can return someday!

    Shevawn2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful spot on beautiful Otter Lake. Hosts are amazing and helpful we had everything we needed and more. We can’t wait to come back!

    Kelly2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Lake House exceeded all my expectations!! The yard is beautiful and great for the kids to run around and play on. I’ve missed my morning coffee on the dock! Cam was great with answering any questions I had in a timely matter. I will definitely be coming back next year!!

    Raeanne2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for two families to stay. The house was very clean and the beds were all really comfortable. What we loved the most was the serenity of the location and enjoying coffee on the dock by the lake in the morning! There were enough comfortable adirondack chairs for everyone and the kids (and parents) especially loved the kayaks and outdoor games that we were encouraged to take advantage of. Wish we had stayed longer! Will definitely come back.

    Andrea2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend returning to a place that is near and dear to us. We plan to come back at least once per year.

    Kristi2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Cam's lakefront cottage surpassed our expectations! The size of the beach was incredible, with a grass field above that was perfect for family games of croquet, soccer or kick the can. Lots of time spent sitting on the dock and jumping into the refreshing water. The Cottage itself has been recently renovated, and features a beautiful modern kitchen and floors. 4 bedrooms was more than enough space for the family, and while the living room area was cosy there was a ton of seating space and a great dining table for dinner and games. One of our favourite features was the huge wrap around deck which tons of seating space and a nice large table too. Such a peaceful, comfortable place- we would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you Cam for being so accessible to all of our questions and for offering up your beautiful place to rent.

    Geoff2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. From the moment we drove up to this lovely place to the moment we left, we were enchanted. The home is well stocked and beautifully laid out for amazing memories to be made. • We enjoyed a winter wonderland weekend here. The lake was frozen for skating, we had a bonfire in the yard, played games in the living room and used the big kitchen to cook up our meals. The little store close by has all of the supplies you’ll need last-minute and the quiet was very peaceful around the lake. We loved our stay here.

  • Fantastic place, sleeps 10 - 12 comfortably and has everything you need for a great time. The lake is beautiful - we plan to come back in the winter!

  • Excellent home and location for our work retreat. Comfortable beds, well appointed, lovely location. It was perfect for our group!

  • This vacation home and location are amazing! The house was beautiful, large and spacious. It easily accommodated our group of 12 - there was even a large eating table that comfortably fit us all. The pool table and foosball were a hit, as was the large selection of dvd movies. The kitchen was well-equipped and open to the rest of the bright, airy house. It seemed every detail was considered to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location was stunning, right on the lake. Coffees on the deck were such a fantastic way to greet the mornings, and the stars at night couldn't be beat! The dock and all the water activities (canoe, paddleboat) were enjoyed, as well. Definitely recommend!

  • This space is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and amazing! Everything we needed was there from canoes, to surround sound speakers. Super clean and wonderful view. Phebe was always very quick to respond to any messages we sent and was very accommodating of requests or questions we had for her. We thank Phebe for her generous hospitality and hope to return to the cabin again. Thank toy again.

  • This place was a slice of heaven on earth. The cabin was spotless inside and out. The hosts definitely thought of every detail to make a getaway experience easy and enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped. There was big tables indoors and outside that we used to enjoy meals with our friends and children. There were large grassy areas for the little kids to run around (fly kites, chase a ball) and a playground for the kids to get their energy out. We had a couple of kids who also enjoyed the basketball hoop, the Xbox, and fooseball table. There was also a beautifully placed fire pit facing the lake and we were able to enjoy bonfires and s’mores in the evening. The beauty of staying lakefront with small children was such a treat. We all enjoyed the stunning views of the lake, while the kids played in the sand and water all day. we were always steps away from the cabin to grab a bite to eat. Everybody enjoyed the paddleboat so much we didn’t even have a chance to bring out the canoes. This property also came with a variety of life jacket sizes. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The host was also very friendly and quick to reply. We would definitely come back to this amazing place.

  • Absolutely lovely place. It was so clean when we arrived and we were floored by how beautiful it was. They offer so many options for activities by having the canoes, peddal boat, fire pit, bbq, pool table, and foosball. We had our own private deck and stretch of beach which was so nice and peaceful. Will definitely be going back and hopefully make it a yearly vacation spot!

  • The photos of this place do not do it justice. This space is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and fun! Everything we needed was there from canoes, to surround sound speakers, a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, phone chargers, lounge chairs, a dock to sit on, and a stunning view of the lake. We will no doubt return!

  • This is our 4th stay at this lovely cottage and it never disappoints. It is perfect for our group of families. So much space outside for the kids and adults to play. We will be coming back once again for sure. We had wonderful week as always!

    Desiree2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great, quiet location across from lake access. More of a boat launch than a beach. Lots of things to do in the area. The rail trail is a great bike ride but quite rough and sandy. From the house it's about 1.5 hrs bike round the lake and 3 hours one way into Princeton on the rail trail. The beach at the otter Lake campground is nice and fairly sandy. There's a walking path from near the house to the campground, about 15-20 min walk through the provincial park. The house is big and well stocked with everything you need for a big family trip. Very quiet. Lots of space to get together and also retreat to private spaces. Garden and fire pit is lovely.

A funky/fun 1960s vacation cottage In the heart of the village of Tulameen. Simple but comfortable, the cottage is conveniently located about 2 blocks from the Otter Lake Provincial Park beach and one block from the General Store.
We rent by the week ONLY in July and August, with all check-ins and check-outs on Saturday. The cottage is very suitable for a family with a private bedroom on the main floor (double bed) and two separate sleeping areas in the second floor/attic. The attic area has a double bed in one area and bunk beds with a single bed in the other area, the two areas separated by curtains. The main floor living area, full kitchen and dining area are all one contiguous area that is warmed by a cosy wood stove, for those chilly evenings. A short hallway leads to the private 4 piece bath with tub/shower combination. The beds all have quilts and pillows but guests are to provide their own sheets, pillow cases and towels. The cottage is cleaned prior to each stay but guests are expected to leave it reasonably tidy with dishes washed etc. We do NOT rent the cottage in the winter months. The cottage is closed for the winter after early October and does not re-open until late May.
The Kettle Valley Railway trail is just across the street. The cottage is situated on one of the nicest corner lots in Tulameen, with majestic Ponderosa Pines surrounding the cottage.
  • Tulameen is so cool we had an amazing time at the Cabin it has everything you need. Thankyou

    Tara2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cute! The location is amazing - just a few blocks from the beach. My sister and I stayed there with a nine-year-old and a two-year-old and there was plenty of fun stuff for both of them to do. It was one of the most lovely family vacations we’ve ever had. Three nights was not enough. We’d definitely stay longer next time.

    Erin2019-08-20T00:00:00Z

    Gagan2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rustic cabin but well equipped. Bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Good location in town, not too far from store, playground or lake. Otter lake is always a favourite for swimming!

    Susan2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is basic, clean and has everything you need. It's located short walk to the beach and the village is very nice and kids friendly. Great family vacation spot.

  • We found this cottage to be just as described. It had everything we needed for an affordable vacation. We particularly liked the proximity of the cottage to the public beach at Otter Lake. The water was reasonably warm with a nice sandy shore.

Welcome to the Jackpine at Otter Lake. A scenic 3.5 hour drive from Vancouver, this spectacular and fully appointed lakefront home is an ideal destination for a family reunion or other group vacation. The beach is only steps away. This spacious, inviting home has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, fully finished basement recreation room and an upperfloor loft. It comfortably sleeps a maximum of 12 people.
Please note this is a family environment so no stags, stagettes or party goers are allowed. This is strictly enforced with no exceptions. This is the ONLY lake we know of within 3.5 hours of Vancouver that has all year round activities including powerboat water sports and is located near a community.
The historic Kettle Valley railway runs along the east shore of the lake which allows unsurpassed biking, walking and ATVing. The ties were removed a few years ago. Gold panning and check out the quaint general store and restaurant for details on the many town events. Ice fishing is popular in the winter months and skating on the lake in front of the house. Some guests even curl on the frozen lake. Tulameen also offers a public skating rink and groomed skidoo paths for the winter enthusiasts! The fall is popular with the hunters and ATVing groups.
  • We had an amazing Christmas holiday at Jackpine! There was lots of room, and two living rooms was great for the kids to go downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, and cookware, we made a big turkey dinner stress free! There was a huge dump of snow and made for wonderful memories of building snowman and playing in the snow. The owners were very thoughtful emailing to make sure we got there okay as we happened to be going the day of a big snow storm. Two of the major highways were closed, so we did a detour around but once we arrived was so worth the journey!

  • What a peaceful, beautiful location! We had a large group and everyone was very comfortable. Would highly recommend and would return!

  • We had an amazing rest and relaxation trip at Andrea's home. It is in a gorgeous location just a 1 minute bike ride to the little town of Tulameen. The home had pedal bikes, paddle boats, and a canoe to use which was great. The home had great amenities and everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of space to hang out, awsome fire pit with lots of wood. Loved our stay and will totally be back!

    Jennifer2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to the hosts of Jackpine. Our family had a wonderful Christmas celebration. There was enough room for all and the home was roomy, warm and cozy. And just enough snow for the wee ones to enjoy sledding. I would highly recommend a family vacation to Jackpine.

    Candace2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cabin for a winter wonderland holiday! We had a large group but still had plenty of space- it is actually much larger than the pictures make it seem. The foosball table was a nice feature which occupied a lot of our indoor time, plus having a living room on the main floor and one downstairs which allowed the group to divide for movie night (kids downstairs). It was so nice to find a fully equipped kitchen that went well beyond the standard appliances and utensils to make it easy and enjoyable to cook for a large group, including a griddle for our breakfasts and a nice bbq for dinner (and it was also refreshing not to have to wash dishes after every meal, like some airbnb's which are stingy with the kitchenware). Andrea and the team were responsive in helping us plan and book and make sure we had clear and easy directions and check-in instructions. We hope to be back again for a summer stay.

    Jeremy2018-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea’s place was stunning the pictures don’t even touch on how beautiful her place is. We had a wonderful family vacation on paddle boats and playing in the crystal clear water directly in front of the cabin. Thank you Andrea!

    Nicole2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a really great place for a big group to enjoy a relaxing time! Everything you want or need is at the cabin and the host is very accommodating and prepared. The place was very clean and beautiful. I would definitely visit Andrea's place again!

    Katherine2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Jackpine was beautiful. We had a big group staying - somehow there was always a quiet place to hide away for a moment of peace. The lake was just beautiful. I loved having the bikes available. I took a little ride through the cute town - it was lovely. We packed all our meals and enjoyed cooking and relaxing all weekend long (the kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking gadgets). The extra fridge in the garage was so handy for extra beverages. We had a lovely time - thank you.
