“Pasteis de Chaves are traditional from a city of Portugal called Chaves, but you can find them a little bit all over Portugal, because they are very tasty! The traditional version of the Pastel de Chaves is filled with ground beef, but here you have them filled with lots of other thigs, such as chicken, chicken with dry tomato, calf, chicken with chilli, egg with almond, chocolate, codfish and vegetarian!”

“It was in 2011 that has born one of the most modern and nice taverns in the northern area of Portugal. It’s called Trásca and was originated in an old tavern by the desire of two friends, Luis Violas and Paulo Villas-Boas. With an incredibly nice and welcoming environment, further enriched by the background music, this modern tavern offers, beyond space conducive to socializing, food and drinks worthy of reference. On the menu we can find: little burgers, little steaks, tortilla, sausage, gold camembert, padron peppers, sandwiches and varied toast, between so many other things. With it, all good options: sangria, wine and international beers. Prices for dishes range from € 1.20 to € 6. This is a place that deserves your visit.”

“Praia do Molhe, with its blue flag and 168 meters of sand, is named after a breakwater designed to protect the bathing area. Since the early 20th century, this has been one of the most important resorts along the Porto coast. Adorned by the Pérgola da Foz, it is one of the more iconic representations of Porto. This cement balustrade was constructed around 1930 and offers a marvellous platform from which to enjoy the sea views. Everything around this beach vies for the attention of the summer visitor, from the somptuous stairway to the tasteful bars and outdoor seating areas.”

“one of the primitive ways to get to the city in the XIII century, and an emergency getaway to escape an attack from the north. For me, it's a quite special way to arrive to the riverside. Remember that the way down it's always easier.”

“On the way towards Ribeira do Porto, the Infante D. Henrique Square offers several points of interest. The square is in the historic center. The statue of the Infante Henrique (Prince Henry the Navigator) is by Tomás Costa and was erected in 1894. It consists of the statue of the Prince standing next to a globe. There are two sculptural groups at the base of the monument. One represents a figure of Victory leading two steeds and two Tritons, to commemorate the triumph of Portuguese navigations. The other is a female figure, symbolizing the Faith of the Discoveries. At the base, notice the bas-reliefs depicting the capture of Ceuta and showing the Infante in the Sagres Promontory.”
